"Void shields down." Confirmed dark priest Cargore as he granted access to Ferrum Umbra to board the titan. Sabius noticed the change from atop his perch.
"All rounds on me!" He voxed over the wide band as a hail of bolt rounds, heavy ordinance and plasma bursts made their way towards the titan. He took cover, but it was too late. The shields were back up and the terminator traitor was aboard the Ferrum Mundi.
"I see everything." Thought Geltus as he watched the Iron Warriors traitor enter the titan through an access port on the heel of the mechanical beast, however Geltus wasn't the only one in the theatre of this war with advanced optics.
"Dreadnought inbound." Voxed Cargore, however, Cargore was not the only one watching Geltus watch the titan.
"Scum!" Said Karagon as he grabbed Cargore by the neck and ran his power sword through the dark priest.
"Update." Said Ferrum Umbra over the vox. "Update."
"You're next!" Said Karagon over the red robed dark priests vox before discarding the body like a rusted metal ragdoll upon a scrap metal heap.
Sabius had manoeuvred himself into the warlord beast through a venting port. Inside he saw the twisted, daemonic workings of the contraption. He quietly stalked the halls, gangways and gantries; the alarms having silenced but for their visual red strobing. Before long, he found a control panel.
"Looks important." He said to himself, firing a volley of bolt rounds into the panel. Immediately alarms began ringing anew.
"Void shield compromised, void shield compromised." Blared over the loudspeaker. Sabius opened his vox so that his battle brothers could hear the alarm from aboard the titan.
"For the Emperor!" Screamed Karagon from the battlefield as he ordered the Red Scorpions to surge forward despite the combined punishment being dealt to them from both the titan and its wayward brothers. Renewed, larger ordinances rained down on the titan as units scurried to leave their firing positions before the titan could find a target lock on them.
"Boarding actions detected, boarding actions detected." Changed the alarms.
"All units to the entry ports." Voxed Ferrum Umbra as a slew of crewman shimmied down ladders and vaulted gantry's to make their way to the elevator shaft that led to the entry ports of the great war beast.
"Ready…" Steadied a crewman.
"Brace for Astarte's." He commanded. The traitor crew waited with baited breath as the elevator rose to their level.
"Ping." It was there.
"Three, two." The doors opened and the howls of the traitor crewman echoed down the corridors as they were greeted by the empirically blessed flames of Brother Geltus' flamestorm cannon. As he seared and singed them alive; fusing them to the bones of the mechanical titan, he progressed forward, grinding to pulp those traitor crew members who would foolishly try to manoeuvre around his flame weapon. When it was clear, he looked around. He couldn't tell which way to go but needed a way to exact as much damage as possible. He needed to knock the titan out of commission. He decided to attack the dark titans' infrastructure and abandon the walkways, elevators and gantry's, opting instead to forge his own path to the titans control centre at the head of the beast by blasting, melting and drilling through bulkheads. It didn't take long for the movements of the titan to become jagged and unsmooth as Geltus made his way through the inner workings of the titan like a parasite hunting for nerves.
"Chassis breach, chassis breach." Sounded the newest alarm.
"Show me!" Demanded Ferrum Umbra as the data was patched through to him.
"Iron within!" He said to himself again as he made his way to the location of the structural carnage.
