The Animus
For those of you who don't know, OG Kiyru is supposed to be '54 Gojira,
and henceforth Godzilla's dad. I am aware,
and the original TOHO lore will be implemented into the story.
In a cold, dark, windowless room, a swirling body like a pool can be seen. Sitting in the middle of the room is a heavily cloaked figure.
It was murmuring something inaudible, its shoulders and back rising slightly with every breath.
The pool rippled, and, as if someone had drawn a spiral in it with an invisible hand, an image swiveled into view.
An image of fire and ice, stars and pillars, glass and shards, undying hatred, and unending pain.
The prophecy of not only incredible chaos, but innumerable blessings of a haunting tale of love.
"Yes, they will come, the one who spun and wove this tale, and I shall prepare the world for what would surely ensue."
"Which begs the question, who will know?"
Hogwarts Castle, 2nd Floor, present day
"And don't you DARE call me Ki-ki again." The boy made as if to punch Ichi in the face, but missed by millimeters.
The tall blond looked scandalized.
"Huh, straight posture, fierce glare, clenched fists? You must be a dumb idiot." Ichi spat. "I always knew nothing compares to MY family!"
The smaller boy made a sharp intake of breath as if to retort.
"Kiyru." A sharp, brisk voice came from just behind Ichi, who turned around abruptly, apparently even more insulted.
"Come." A dark-haired Ravenclaw flanked by two Slytherins, one lanky and one brutish, walked fast as if gliding across the floor. "And you, Ichi, watch your mouth."
With a final glance at a menacing-looking Ichi, Kiyru followed Space away from the crowd.
"Are we going to – you-know-where?" He attempted once they were safely out of earshot.
"Muffliato."
"Where'd you learn that from?"
"None of your business."
"So uhh...what do you want to do?"
"Talk."
When Kiyru didn't answer, Space rolled his eyes.
"Obviously something private, just between you and me. Can't let those two blokes hear."
"I thought they were your bodygaurds."
"Does it matter?"
Another silence.
"Alright. I'm going to make your part of the plan crystal clear."
Kiyru nodded. "Let's make this quick, though."
"First, there's a Triwizard this year. They're hosting this one early because a Prophet interpreted another outbreak soon. Next, Krystalak and Obsidius here will be able to attend the Yule Ball, and therefore be able to sneak the Pendulum in. Meanwhile, you go in after them with an invisibility cloak. I will have stolen one and hid it in a suit of armor beside the Great Hall. Clear?"
"Pendulum? The one to stop time?"
"Freeze time. In the Yule Ball only."
"And if this doesn't work?"
"...we'll have to resort to Plan B."
"Which is, abandon all wisdom and intelligence and make our way through by force. In other words, dump seventh-year jinxes on everybody in a ball gown. After that, continue as usual, freeze time, and track down Ichi."
"Great. Now can I go to Charms class?" Kiyru ventured.
"Yes. But don't forget," Space said with a raised eyebrow. "I'm absent via illness."
The Animind, Receiver 2
The chains were still on the man's limbs when he was dragged out of the pool.
"Why can't you leave me alone?" Finally unable to control himself, he spoke calmly, his voice cracked, betraying his fear.
"Because, Severus, only you can tell me what happened that day. When Trelawney predicted the rise of a king to the fall of another, you were the only one within a ten-mile radius who heard her. Now recite the prophecy."
Snape clenched his fists and growled, "I am a dead man. A dead man willing to rest in peace-"
"If you do not oblige you will, shortly after, rest in pieces."
The receiving end swept his now-silver oily black hair and repeated as if stating a well-known incantation.
"Orion will be replaced by void,
Doomed by then of eternal night.
The sun will rise to shield the sea,
Gemini comes to Saturn for plea.
The one who caused the stars to die,
Is the one of faith and not of lie.
Dragonet come and phoenix burns,
The hallow king will return,
With an army of soldiers, at his disposal.
If thou denies,
The Wings of Demise,
The Seven-pointed Star,
Then suffer a fate worse than death."
Snape paused to utter something under his breath, an ironic phrase in hyperbole mocking how lowly and mundane the last sentence of his reciting was.
When his captor reached under his robes to feel for his wand – the silver one with 'O.D_S.' carved into it – Severus continued.
"At the second eclipse in six years' time,
The world shall be drowned,
In the deadliest wizarding war.
An ancient power,
That far exceeds,
The Dark Lord himself;
To which is far beyond immortal.
He will wreak havoc,
But not without a friend;
The first unusual soul to be born deep in the bosom of winter,
Is where his first ally can be found."
"Now the last part." A demand.
Snape obliged wordlessly.
"Only the new team,
Of friends old and new,
Can work together to break the curse.
One sacrifice will not make it worse;
It will make them soar.
Of three kings and queen soon-to-be,
Two shall perish and two shall live.
Of the duo to survive the fight,
One will encage and one will thrive.
Beware the uncrowned prince,
Who has touched magic previously unknown to wizardkind.
Sons and daughters to continue blood,
But without his find."
For once, the living man crouched over the deceased ghost of a powerful potions master was quiet and thoughtful.
"The first unusual soul, to be born in the bosom of winter. Unfortunately, we have now entered two difficult dilemmas. The first one, there are two souls I deem unusual born in winter. By 'bosom' of winter, I have no clue as to what time. But I have one thing figured out. In the last sentence of the prophecy, the 'he' changed subject. It is no longer referring to the uncrowned prince or whatever it is, but to the idiot hero who is going to demolish himself fighting Void Ghidorah. And the meaning is that this 'hero' will discover something about the prince. Something exciting.
"My second dilemma," The man paused, deliberately, though he only saw the flash of panic in Snape's eyes for the briefest of moments. "Is who exactly this 'prince' is."
To be continued...
