Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!

Chapter 40: Visits

A few days later

It was Friday in the afternoon and Danny was currently in the ghost zone. The ghost boy was on his way to Pandora's Acropolis Home.

The reason why? To see a certain adorable little ghost girl who resembles him.

Yep, he's going to visit Dani and check up on her.

However, since he was worried about Vlad being up to his old tricks, he had to create a copy that he left in the human world and had his copy go out in public places where he'd be seen, so that the Fruitloop wouldn't think he was here.

"I'm just glad that I FINALLY got a hang of that trick..."He thought, relieved as he kept flying and ignoring the usual ghosts and spooks he came across along the way.

He soon arrived to the Acropolis and went inside it. Once there, he was greeted by Pandora...and a certain little ghost girl who glomped him as soon as she saw him.

"Danny!..."Danielle said happily, hugging him upon greeting.

Danny smiled and hugged her back.

"It's good to see you, Dani. How have you been?..."He asked.

Dani smiled.

"It's been great, Pandora has teaching me so many things about Greek culture, food and even stuff about ancient, historical figures too..."Dani said.

"That's good to hear..."Danny said before turning to the female ghost. "Thanks again for keeping an eye on Dani, Pandora. I hope that she wasn't too much of a handful..."He said and the mighty female warrior waved it off.

"Oh, not at all. I'm happy to have her here. Danielle is such a brilliant student and she even helps around the place. She's also quite the prodigy for someone so young..."Pandora said in a sweet tone.

"Plus, she has an appetite like the mightiest Greek warriors, so she fits right in here..."She said, with a hearty laugh.

"Yeah, I kind of expected that..."Danny said, chuckling.

"Speaking of which, we were about to eat. Care to join us?..."Pandora offered.

"Sure..."Danny said as he felt pretty peckish at the moment.

Pandora soon lead her guests to another room, where he could smell many varieties of dishes prepared.

A little later

Danny had been brought to Pandora's dinning room and right there, her servants had placed what could be called a small feast which consists of mostly Greek dishes, such as moussaka, papoutsakia, pastitsio, briam, Taramasalata, among other foods.

The female warrior had begun eating and it didn't take long for Dani to start wolfing things down, which was a lot given her big appetite.

"This is so good!..."Dani said with her mouthful after taking a big bite of a chicken leg.

Danny saw this and couldn't help but find her antics to be familiar for some reason.

"It's weird, she might be my clone but I think she takes after Dad more than me and Jazz do..."He thought as he watched his clone/cousin continue to stuff her face.

"Dani, I said not to talk with your mouth full!..."Pandora said in a strict tone.

Dani swallowed and sent her a sheepish look.

"Sorry..."She said, as she graded a nearby napkin and wiped off the food stains on her face with lady like grace that Pandora no-doubt taught her how to do.

Pandora sighed but sent her a warm smile, no doubt used to this by now.

"Other than occasionally having to remind her of her manners, she's been the perfect guest and it's been nice having some company around here..."She said, as one hand patted the little girl on the head.

"I can definitely tell..."Danny said with a chuckle.

"I ain't complaining..."Dani said before finishing her chicken leg and then eating some of the moussaka.

The feast continued for a bit as Pandora regaled about the afterlife here. But it wasn't long till Dani had a question of her own.

"So, Danny... how are things with Mandie?..."Dani asked.

"Huh?..."Danny asked.

"You know, that alien girl that saved me and helped stop Vlad in his tracks..."Dani reminded.

"Ah, yes...Danielle mentioned her to me...she says that she is a strong female warrior who rescued her from that scoundrel, Plasmius and his minions..."Pandora said, frowning at the mere mention of the other halfa.

She considered herself a kind and thoughtful woman and she disliked Plasmius for his arrogance and despicable nature towards those he deems inferior to him... which is almost everyone he came across.

Danny thought about his current situation with the alien princess before giving his answer.

"Well, things have been fine. We've hung out a bit and things are going along smoothly. So far, no destruction of private property..."Danny said, recalling the deal that they had made.

Dani smiled upon hearing this and leaned in to ask more about the alien warrior princess.

"That's so cool Danny. Mandie is so cool, strong and pretty. Not to mention that she has a fire sword!..."Dani said, making it clear that she has come to admire the female warrior who rescued her.

"Well, she's not the top warrior of the Boudacian empire for nothing..."Danny chuckled, knowing of Mandie's claims of being her planet's mightiest warrior.

"She sounds very impressive. You should introduce me to her one of these days, I would love to see how these warriors of Boudacia fight!..."Pandora said, her own warrior side showing.

Danny blinked.

To be honest, I think you both really could hit if off. Mandie does like a good fight. That's kind of part of her culture..."He said, thinking that Mandie would certainly take up Pandora's challenge for a duel.

"Sounds like me in my younger years..."Pandora said, giving another hearty laugh.

"Now that's a fight I'd really like to see, and to think, my cousin or brother figure is actually dating an alien warrior princess and probably gonna marry into royalty someday..."Dani said, before taking another bite of her food.

Danny nearly did a spit take when she said that but managed to keep himself from doing so.

"Dani, you got the wrong idea. Mandie and I aren't dating. We're just hanging out.."He said.

Dani and Pandora both look at the ghost boy in complete disbelief. They gave a funny look before shaking their heads, as if what he said made no sense.

"You're joking, right?..."Dani asked, raising a brow. "It's obvious that she really likes you..."She pointed out.

"I had heard that there was this warrior princess whom seems to have taken an interest in you and young Dani here had told me it was this Mandie girl..."Pandora said, gesturing with all four arms while the ghost boy went wild eyed at the fact that there were rumors going around.

"We and Mandie are NOT an item. I'm just giving her a chance to redeem herself and be my friend..."Danny insisted, before going back to his food.

The two females, however, didn't believe a word he said. Since unlike Danny, they weren't blind to the emotions of others and saw how obvious it was Mandie wanted him.

"Clueless..."Dani and Pandora both thought, since they could see that more was going on than the ghost boy was willing to admit.

But the ghost boy sighed as he took some more food, wanting to ignore the subject.

Anyway, the feast continued and more friendly discussions were had amongst the trio as they shared some laughs. All the while, Danny did his best to ignore any questions regarding Mandie.

Later

Danny had returned home, just happy to see that his little cousin/clone had been doing well and that Vlad still had no idea where she is at.

"I'm just happy that she's okay. Frostbite was right, Pandora is taking really good care of her..."He thought, relieved.

However, his mind went back to that conversation they had earlier about Mandie...and how comfortable they've started to be around each other, for lack of better words.

Despite now being of friendly terms for a short period, the ghost boy couldn't help at wondering about the merit of the girl. If she were at least 50% less evil, he might be willing to oblige her..

"We're not a couple, I mean, Mandie's great and I sometimes look forward in seeing her again...but...it's just that…I don't know..."He thought, contemplating of what that really meant to him.

However, the special phone that Mandie had gifted him had started to ring and he knew that it was her who was calling.

"Ask and she will appear..."He thought before answering it.

"Hello, Mandie..."Danny said.

"Hello, Danny. How are you?..."Mandie asked, sounding cheerful.

"Fine, just...uh...just finished visiting a friend..."He said vaguely.

It's not that he doesn't trust Mandie with Dani. it's just that he didn't want to risk Vlad finding out, since the old fruitloop was known to eavesdrop from time to time.

"That Fruitloop is such a pain that I can't even feel completely safe in my own house!..."He thought, upset.

However, he mood started to change once he heard Mandie's voice. It got his mind off Vlad for now.

"Well... if this friend you visited is who I believe it is, then I certainly hope that you both enjoyed each other's company..."Mandie said, having a feeling that it's a certain little ghost girl whom she once met.

"Yeah, we did. Thanks to you, Princess..."Danny said, smiling.

The two began chatting for a few minutes, talking about what they have been recently up to until the alien girl made a request.

"Anyway, my parents are going to be busy in meetings all day tomorrow and I have some free time. I wanted to know if you wanted to...hang out again..."Mandie asked, with a bashful tone in her voice.

Danny thought about it and smiled. It was the relief from Vlad he needed.

"Sure, tomorrow's Saturday and I have nothing planned. Let's do it..."He answered.

"Excellent. So, shall we meet at the same place...around 10am of earth time?..."Mandie asked.

Sure, tomorrow's Saturday and I have nothing planned. Let's do it..."He answered.

"Wonderful, I look forward to our dat-...I mean...outing..."Mandie said, though her tone sounded a little frustrated at the end.

Danny noticed it but didn't make any comment on it.

They both talked for a little more before hanging up, both looking forward for tomorrow.

All the while, Danny was thinking back to what she almost said a moment ago, as well as the conversation he had with Dani and Pandora earlier. Namely regarding his relationship with Mandie.

"So...what now?..."He thought, unsure.

It was obvious that Mandie still had feelings for him and wanted this to be a date, rather than just them hanging out and being friends.

Perhaps she still desired him for a mate and to father her children, but perhaps she no longer wants to raise them to be world conquering soldiers. Either way, he's in no hurry.

He's still in high school for Heaven's sake and Mandie is still young by Earth standards, even if she is supposedly of marrying age on her own planet. Which begs the question of what he really wants with her at this point.

Sure, he is okay with hanging out with Mandie. He's even willing to admit that he has come to see her as a friend at this point, but it was clear that she wanted more. He made sure that it was crystal clear that he has no interest in marriage and is nowhere near ready for it...but he also come to enjoy spending time with her and started viewing her in a different light, especially compared to when they first met.

Mandie is gorgeous, he always thought that but her obsession to marry him and her villainous nature was a big turn off for him...but she has changed. It was obvious with how she listened to him and made strives to prove herself.

Not to mention that he actually likes and looks forward to hanging with her, just shows how much progress she's made. And it was the truth on how there was some lingering attraction, at least in the physical sense since he never denied that she was beautiful, even when they were enemies.

He can still recall how she looked in that blue dress that she had purchased...and about that kiss he had planted on her check, as her request.

"Can't say I hated it..."He thought as he started to turn red.

The ghost boy decided to put it aside for now. He went to his room and got ready for bed, knowing that tomorrow is a big day and one that he's looking forward to spending it with a certain alien princess that has become an interesting part of his life now.

The Next Day

It was Saturday, about 9am in the morning. About an hour before Danny was to meet with Mandie.

The ghost boy had woken up, showered, got dressed, had breakfast, dealt with his near-daily visit from the Box Ghost and Klemper and was now in the middle of getting ready.

"Those two...Klemper and Box Ghost...sometimes I don't know who's more annoying..."He grumbled as he was getting ready.

Once done, he ran as fast as he could. As he was on his way out, his parents were in the living room. His dad was fiddling around with one of his latest bazooka's and his mom was doing some light dusting.

"Hey, Danny. Going somewhere?..."Jack asked as he kept shining his weapon.

"Oh, just going out with a friend today..."Danny said.

That wasn't a lie, he just didn't say the friend's name.

"Alright, tell Tucker and Sam we said "hi"..."Maddie said.

Danny paused and waved.

"It's just one friend..."Danny said, only to realize too late what he had slipped out.

"Wait...are you just getting a bite with Tucker...or are you taking Sam someplace nice?..."Jack said in a hinting way.

Danny frowned and shook his head.

"What? No! Sam and I are just friends. I'm just spending time with one person... platonically and its not even her..."Danny said, kicking himself for opening his big mouth.

"I see..." The two went in unison. "Then who?..."They asked.

"Its...a new girl named Mandy that's from...out of town..."He said, using Mandie's alias.

"Mandy? Who's Mandy?..."His mother asked.

"Just a girl I met a while back, we've been hanging out recently..."Danny said, giving the more censored version of the truth possible.

"I see, well, I can't wait to meet your new girlfriend and blabber on about ghosts..."Jack said, as he immediately went back to tinkering to his new anti-ghost invention.

"She's NOT my girlfriend. We're just hanging out!..."Danny said, sounding stubborn...no different from when people used to accuse him and Sam being lovebirds.

Something his parents noticed.

"Whatever you say, Sweetie. Well, have fun and remember to be home for curfew..."Maddie reminded.

"I'll try..."Danny thought, depending whether or not any random ghosts get in his way tonight. "I will..."He said, hoping that he'll be able to keep that promise.

"And remember, don't take too long kissing her..."Jack said, in a teasing way, briefly looking up from his ghost invention, embarrassing his son again.

"Again, Mandy and I are just friends... nothing more..."Danny said, sounding annoyed by what his dad just said as he headed his way to the door.

While the boy walked out, his parents grinned.

"Clueless..."They both thought but shared a look.

"So...he's hanging out with some new girl that we don't know about?..."Jack said.

"I guess so, since he wouldn't lie. So, we know that it's not Sam..."Maddie said.

"Well, I guess you've got a point there. This can mean one thing. The Fenton charm has struck again!..."Jack said proudly, only to accidentally press a button and get covered with green goop from his device.

"Uh...a little help..."He said and his wife helped him clean up this mess.

Outside

Danny had walked away from his house, hid in an alley, changed forms and took the skies, all the while, trying to clear his head.

"Mom and dad...I just know that they're gonna ask how my "date" with Mandie went and will ask for extra details or something else equally embarrassing..."He complained, wondering why they always assume he and Sam are like that.

The ghost boy sighed, annoyed by that. That had gotten old a long time ago and wished they'd stop. Plus, it's not like he hasn't dated before. Granted, it involved ghostly intervention.

"I don't need any weirdness today..."He thought.

He decided to just enjoy a leisurely flight since it will be a little early before he is schedule to meet Mandie, and hope nothing goes awry.

However, that would not be the case since his ghost sense went off, making the ghost boy groan.

"Again?..."He complained but conceded.

He then began to look around for whoever triggered his ghost sense, hoping for a quick fight and he could get back on track.

Meanwhile

A Boudacian space ship soon landed in the woods, and out came a certain alien princess, who was a little early.

"I'm sure that Danny won't mind that I'm a little earlier than promised..."She thought as she put the cloaking device on and then used the fake-i-fier for her earth disguise.

She knew that she was early but she had to get out before Brutus tried something. That, and she needed a break from her royal duties, particularly of how her father was trying to get her to marry sooner (particularly with that fool Brutis in mind). Even for her tastes, that was too much.

"When is Father going to get off my back? I'm doing the best I can!..."She thought, frustrated.

The alien sighed and pulled out her cell phone.

"I guess I can just wait here until it's time. Though, I should make sure that he knows that I'll be arriving earlier than scheduled..."She thought as she dialed his number.

To her surprise, there was no answer.

"Odd, he always picks up..."She thought as she dialed again.

Once again, there was no answer and she frowned.

"Strange... this isn't like him at all, unless one of his foes got involved..."She thought as she got curious.

However, she suddenly heard the sound of an explosion and could see smoke coming from the town, even from here.

"That sounds like an attack on these defenseless humans...it might be trouble..."Mandie said before realizing something obvious. "And where there's trouble, there's bound to be one of those ghosts...and Danny..."She thought, as she dashed away towards the sounds of danger.

With Danny.

"What is it with you ghosts and your terrible timing?! I swear, it feels you're all doing that on purpose!..."The ghost boy yelled as he ought back against the ghost in question.

He had been looking for ghosts and ended up coming across that giant ghost cobra, causing trouble by eating up hot dog carts.

"Sssso the ghossst boy finally appearssss..."The snake ghost hissed at him.

"Oh, so you talk? That's a first..."Danny snarked, delaying his quips in hopes of defeating his foe.

"Be warned ghossst child, for I am much more formidable then all of my other ssssnake comradessss..."The snake ghost gloated, confident in it's strength, as was readying itself to strike first.

However, before anything could happen, the ghost snake got hit from behind, as the ghost was nearly caught entirely of fire from that attack

"AHHH!..."Was heard as the snake screamed and tried to roll in an attempt to put itself out from all the flames.

Danny saw where the blast came from and almost smiled when he saw that it was Mandie, pointing her plasma sword that is still smoking and ready for more action. The girl swirled the blade in her hand before placing it onto her shoulder.

"Yield, you lowly reptile!..."The alien princess declared.

"You're early..."Danny quipped but not unhappy to see her.

Mandie heard this and sent him a smile.

"Well, I was and decided to wait for you, but I saw the battle and I couldn't let you have all the fun..."She said, smirking.

The ghostly cobra recovered from the attack and pointed it's attention toward the female on the battlefield. He hissed at her.

"Who are you sssssupposssse to be?..."He demanded.

"I am Princess Mandie of Boudacia and you shall be yet another one of my victories..."The alien princess declared, looking tough as she did so.

"DON'T YOU DARE LOOK DOWN AT ME, YOU SSSIMPLE-MINDED GIRL! I AM ONE OF THE MOST FORMIDABLE GHOSTSSSS IN THE GHOST ZONE!..."The ghost yelled, hissing and re-readied itself to make a strike against the female newcomer.

"Since pretty much every ghost claims that when they come here, I doubt that means much..."Danny snarked while the snake looked annoyed at that remark.

"So, Danny...mind if I join the battle?..."Mandie asked, looking and sounding eager for some action.

"Why not? Should be quicker with you around..."The ghost boy said as he worked in rhythm with the alien princess.

The two unique teens then faced the ghostly snake, who saw no trouble with the two and refused to give up.

"Two or two thoussssand, it doesn't matter...I'll ssstiiilllll vanquisssh you two!..."The cobra said, baring its fangs with an open jaw as its hood spread out.

"We'll see about that. I've been needing a new pair of boots anyway..."Mandie said as she charged at the ghost snake with her sword.

She swung and tried to slice it in half but it managed to dodge her.

The ghost snake look really upset for Mandie's earlier comment about boots, intending to swallow her whole for it.

"I'm gonna ssswallow you whole and your demise ssslow and painful! Your ssscreams will be music as you are ssslowly digested!..."The snake hissed again as he stride to bite the alien girl, who dodged and Danny quickly fired not wanting Mandie to be eaten.

"Strange, his attitude kinda reminds me of my cousin... we don't talk about him anymore, just as we won't talk about you for long..."Mandie made an off handled comment.

"Yeah, I'm REALLY looking forward to hanging out with your family..."Danny said sarcastically before his attention going back to the battle.

The battle continued for a few minutes and Danny got an idea. He quickly sent more ice blasts to the snake, making it hard to walk or slither without falling over for a moment, just long enough for him to talk to his temporary partner.

"Hey Mandie, I think we might need to wrap things up..."Danny said.

"What do you suggest then?..."Mandie asked.

"Like I said, wrap things up..."Danny suggested, pointing to something nearby.

Mandie smirked, liking the idea. She nodded and Danny quickly whispered her the rest of the details.

The snake ghost then recovered and looked even angrier than before.

"Thaaatttsss it! Itssssss time to treat you two as my newest appetizersss!..."The snake ghost hissed, opening it's jaw as it's about to swallow something whole.

The ghostly hero and alien princess, however, had other plans.

"So not gonna happen, you overgrown, slithering handbag!..."Danny quipped as he flew towards the ghost.

The snake hissed at the quip as he followed Danny, making twists and turns until he felt Mandie's blade scratch his face. With a glare, he turned his chase towards the girl as she ducked and weaved through the ghost's body.

Soon, the girl stopped as she smiled at the snake.

"You're mine!..."The snake hissed as he lunged at the girl, but found himself stopped before his fangs could touch her.

Looking back, the ghost saw he had fallen for the oldest trick in the book, having his body tied up while chasing prey. However, he smirked as he moved back, intending to de-tangled himself but that's when Danny came and froze the ghost to the ground. The snake ghost tried to wriggle free but couldn't.

"Why do I get the feeling that the other ghost ssssnakesss are never gonna let me live thisssss down?..."The ghostly cobra grumbled, embarrassed at this current predicament as his enemies continued to mock him.

"Sorry, but you can't open till next Christmas..."Danny quipped as Mandie punched the ghost in the face, knocking some teeth out.

"We don't celebrate that holiday on my planet, but I will take you up on that offer..."Mandie said in amusement, kicking the snake monster in presumably the belly.

The ghostly cobra was now on the ground, injured and unable to move or even slither at all.

"Thaaattssss...ssssmaaarrrtttss..."He hissed out, too hurt to even move.

"Serves you right for daring to challenge us and interrupt our day..."Mandie said arrogantly as she loomed over her fallen foe.

Danny quickly pulled out his thermos and sucked his shame enemy inside, trapping him.

"Victory!..."Mandie declared, thrilled.

"That went better than even I expected..."Danny said. "Thanks for the help..."He said.

"No, thank you. After dealing with that fool Brutis and those holo-droids. It's nice to fight along one who can keep up..."Mandie said, having gotten a good workout from that.

Danny laughed at that and gave the girl a nod of approval. A laugh Mandie could get used to.

"I guess it could get boring..."He said, quickly noticing the mess they made.

"This, on the other hand, isn't. Now let's get out of here before the reporters show up and find out an alien just helped me save the town..."He said.

Mandie agreed and the two took off, just before people came out of their hiding spots and started wondering where their hero was.

Later

After they won the battle, Danny and Mandie found a safe hiding spot in an alley. Danny changed back to his human form and Mandie used the fake-i-fier and was once again in her disguise. Danny had brought her to the Nasty Burger and the alien princess was gorging herself on the burgers they had to offer.

"These are even better then the ones from the carnival..."Mandie said after taking a bite from a Mighty meaty cheesy melt. "I must say, this is a mighty meal truly lives up to its name..."She said, enjoying it.

"Glad you like it..."Danny chuckled.

"I still don't understand why they call it the "Nasty" Burger?..."Mandie asked, still lost that a place with such delicious food would call themselves that way.

"According to rumors, this placed was originally suppose to be called "The Tasty Burger" but apparently before the grand opening, the T was scratched out by vandals and replaced with an N and they just left it that way..."Danny explained.

"Seriously? They didn't even bother to fixing it or seeking retribution for that blatant act of vandalism?..."Mandie asked in an incredulous tone.

"Nope. I guess they were just too lazy or something. Could be that or maybe they decided that it was much more catchy this way than the other. Who knows for sure?..."Danny said with a shrug before taking another bite of his own burger. "This place is still popular either way..."He said, not seeing a huge deal.

Mandie seemed puzzled but decided she didn't care as she kept eating the admittedly delicious food.

"Mark and the rest of those Yugopotamians would probably just come here for the name alone but flee once they actually TASTE this food..."Mandie said.

"Why is that?..."Danny asked.

"Remembered that I told you that Mark and his people are pretty backwards. They think good is bad and ugly is pretty. They consider candy and sweets to be poisonous and even eat trash and manure like it's some rare delicacy or something..."She explained, a look of disgust on her face.

"Please tell me you're joking..."Danny said, grossed out by that.

"I am not. It's truly foul and disgusting to look at, especially in person. It was another reason we didn't get along. Heck, Mark had the nerve to call me hideous the second he laid eyes on me..."She said, irritated.

"Seriously? Hideous? YOU?! You have to be joking now? What person in their right mind would even think to describe you like that?..."Danny said, not yet realizing what he just said until it was too late.

Mandie then had a flirty look on her face as she felt her face turn deep red from hearing that. To hear him compliment her looks, though vain, brought a smile to her face.

"So, how would YOU describe me?..."She asked in a coy tone, unable to help herself.

"You're human form or your real form?..."Danny asked.

"My real form..."She said, really wanting to hear how he views her, at least physically.

"Well, I mean you're hot…actually too hot. Very much so to be honest..."Danny said, since no one can lie about that.

Mandie smiled upon hearing that, feeling happy to hear that from her beloved's own mouth.

"That's the first time that I've heard someone say that to me and actually believe it to be genuine...Thank you..."She said as she took another bite of her burger, mostly to hide her embarrassed face for the ghost boy.

Danny smiled and found this display of embarrassment from her to be really cute as they continued to eat lunch together, sit tight and almost forgetting how fast time flies by.
