Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!
Chapter 44: The First Date Part II
"What's going on?..."Mandie asked, alert.
"Trouble..."Danny said, his eyes narrowing.
"More ghosts for us to conquer..."Mandie asked with interest.
"Not sure yet..."Danny said as he went behind the tree and changed forms.
He morphed while Mandie made a quick change of her own.
Mandie used the fake-i-fier and quickly changed forms into a form fitting suit akin to Danny's, only no logo, with white and blue respectively swapping out black and white, though it was a dark blue her mom is more fond of. It also had a blue mask akin to Valerie's old costume, only with an opening for her hair, though it was in a ponytail.
It was still enough to hide her identity...and her species.
"How's this?..."Mandie asked.
"It works...come on..."Danny said.
The two unique teens then flew off to see what the trouble was. It was no ghost. Danny saw that a fire had broke out at a nearby apartment complex and it was reaching the top.
"Oh man, a fire!..."He said, looking around.
"Is this the work of a ghost?..." She asked, curious.
"I don't think so. My ghost sense isn't going off, I think this is just an accident..." He said as he saw some fire trucks there, but the fire is pretty big and there doesn't seem to be enough, plus they could still hear that there was people inside.
Mandie, however, didn't really seem to understand why they had to be here.
"Then it is not worth our time..." She said as she was about to leave.
"Excuse me?..." Danny asked, sounding offended.
"I am a warrior, not a rescue operative. This is... not part of my training..." She explained.
"Uh... hero, remember?..." Danny asked, arms crossed.
"You wish to be of aid to them?..." She asked and he nodded.
"Of course I do, cause this is also part of my job as this town's local superhero!..."He said, as he sent her a serious daze.
Realizing that this is important to him, the alien girl decided to offer her help, mostly since she didn't want to risk aggravating or upsetting him.
"If you're dead set on this, then I'll aid you to the best of my abilities..."Mandie said, figuring it's the least she can do.
"Alright..."Danny said, deciding to accept her help.
They got over to the building, one that was still engulfed in flames and blazing out of control, even with the fire truck trying to keep it under control.
"So, what should we do?..."Mandie asked as the flames were still growing.
"Just focus on putting out the fires and get everybody safely out of there..."Danny said, being stern.
"Alright..."Mandie nodded while her beloved used his ghostly duplication power, much to the shock of the alien princess.
"Since when could you do that?!..."She said, stunned and almost fascinated.
"Save people now, answering questions later!..."One of the ghost boy's copies said, while the original and the others got to work on rescuing everybody in trouble.
Mandie snapped out of it and immediately did what she was told.
Danny quickly flew in and tried to phase as many people out as possible. Mandie quickly activated her special armor, which also had a feature meant to protect her from flames and intense heat, ready to rush in to the rescue. She was already inside, managing to handle the flames and heat just fine.
Danny noticed this.
"Your suit can do that?..."He asked, surprised.
"Of course, my dad might be cranky at times but he always gets me and my mother the finest weaponry out there, especially for my birthday..."Mandie said casually as she managed to kick down a door that had been blocked, leaving it accessible to those who had been trapped on the other side.
They managed to get out easily, thanks to the help of the super powered teens.
"Still, it was designed best for raids and conquests, not...this..."She said, still unused to situations that didn't involved kicking someone's butt.
Danny saw this and sighed. Mandie has improved a lot as a person since they have met, but it seems that some habits die hard with her.
"I know that she's helping because of me...but I just wish that she'd understand WHY I am doing this? And that she'd understand why some people actually LIKE helping others, whether or not they get something out of it or have a chance to kick someone's butt!..."He thought, frustrated with her but he focused on the rescue at hand.
"Just lend a hand. The faster this is done, the faster we can go back to our date..."He said, using reasoning with what the girl wanted the most.
"Alright, but I am only doing this for you..."She said, crossing her arms.
Danny pondered before an idea came to him. One that came from a memory from a few minutes ago, and it was an idea that he knew would truly get the alien's princess attention.
"I'll make you a deal. If you can save someone's life... and feel good about doing good, I win and don't have to kiss you, regardless of how many times you ask me..."Danny said suddenly, getting her attention.
"Why would I agree to that?..." She asked, wondering what this is about.
"Because... you'll see why I like it..."Danny said, smiling at the girl.
Mandie thought about it, staring at the ghost boy with a raised eye-brow. Crushing on the boy or not, there were some things she wouldn't do for free.
"And if you're wrong?" She asked, wondering what she could get from such a challenge.
"I'll kiss you... as long as you want and as much as you want...including making out...with tongues... if you feel like it..." He said, blushing deeply but kept his bravado up.
Mandie raised her fist, nearly squealed in excitement before accepting the challenge.
"Then we shall do rescuing!..." She said, with much more enthusiasm but perhaps not for the right reasons.
"Why did I know that would change her tune so quick?..."He thought, as he focused of rescuing more people, the ones still trapped inside.
Danny and Mandie both braved the fire and soon enough, they managed to get everyone out of the building, but they had to also get the fire under control before it spreads. They had to get it under control while they waited for more fire trucks to come.
The ghost boy tried to think.
"Let's see..." Danny said as he looked around before seeing a water tower. "Cut that free so I can carry that over the building..."He said as he pointed at it.
"As you wish, Darling...I really can't wait for that special kiss when this is over..."She said as she did as he ordered.
She went to the water tower, pulled out her flame sword and immediately fired, making a hole for the liquid to flood out. But before much was lost, the girl used a blaster from her suit to freeze the water and used a special beam to maintain it, tilting it and keeping the water contained as it was sustained in the air.
"This will do. Now where to?!..."She shouted as she carried the water and awaited more orders.
Danny blinked when he saw what she just did and how. He just pointed to the building and told her to douse the flames, which the alien princess did rather effectively.
"I gotta admit, that's pretty hot..."He said before realizing what he was doing.
He snapped out of it and went back to trying to save people while Mandie started pouring the water into the building. This, along with Danny's ice powers, managed to lessen the flames and provide a proper escape route for the trapped citizens until more fire trucks arrived.
"Just a little more..."Danny said as he kept firing more ice while Mandie kept dousing flames until more fire trucks came and soon enough, the flames went down and people started cheering.
"Thank you, Danny Phantom and your...new friend?..."One of the people they rescued said.
"Uh, this is..."Danny paused.
"Call me Mandie, and you can consider me as Danny Phantom's new...partner..."Mandie said as she sent him a coy look.
Danny sent the girl a puzzled face as they both decided to leave the area before the media came and started asking more questions.
The two found an isolated spot as they transformed back, resuming their date. Only now, there were some questions Danny wanted answered. Namely how she introduced herself to everyone.
A few moments later
"I have a feeling you had more in mind when you told the press you're my partner..."Danny said, seeing her meaning.
Mandie, on the other hand, blushed from the boy's attention. While this was him questioning her decision, she couldn't help giggling innocently. And that's when she leaned back at the boy with a sultry predatory face.
"Perhaps..."She said, still giggling.
Before Danny could say anything, his ghost sense went off and a familiar "BEWARE" was heard. He groaned and turned to the mischievous alien.
"Stay here. I'll be back in 5 minutes...which may or may not be four more than I need..."He said as he went to deal with that pest.
All the while, Mandie hummed happily, feeling the surge of a triumph.
"That's that... Hmm... it would seem I see no value in something like this. Which means that kiss is all mine..."She said, eager as she was about to go claim her prize as soon as he gets back.
However, a loud voice caught her attention, coming from below the streets.
"Mommy!..." A girl's voice called out as Mandie saw one of the girls who got out of the building earlier, running to her mother on the other side of the street.
Mandie gasped as she saw the little girl about to be hit by a speeding truck. Without thinking, the princess quickly changed back to her disguise, ran over and swiped the girl, putting her out of harm's way in time to avoid the run away truck at the very last second.
As soon as the crash was over, the little girl looked up to see her in Mandie's arms.
"Are you alright, small one?..." She asked, making sure that there was no injuries on her.
"Yes! Thank you!..." She said as she hugged Mandie, much to the alien princess's surprise.
Mandie slowly returned the hug, feeling a warmth in her heart as she let go. The mother arrived shortly, holding onto her daughter with tears in her eyes.
"Thank you..." The mother said.
''Uh, it is...no problem..."Mandie said, nodding her head slowly as the two rejoined their family, happily reunited.
To her surprise, she noticed something inside as she put a hand on her chest. Something warm and light.
"Odd..."She mused, having felt this earlier, even when they took some of the people out of the building and they thanked them...last time she tried to suppress but it was too strong now, making her smile, unable to keep ignoring it.
Danny, who had already defeated and captured the Box ghost, smiled at this. He had heard the scream and was about to do something when he saw that Mandie had already gotten the girl to safety and reunite with her mother.
"I guess I don't need to get involved then..." He said to himself as he looked to other side of the street.
Soon, the mother and child left and Mandie paused. She felt that same strange feeling that she felt when she saved Danielle that one time, despite not knowing her connection to Danny.
Taking a moment to contemplate this feeling, the girl realized another detail.
"I suppose, this means I lost..."She mused, smiling despite the loss.
She comes back with a smile and sighs. She then went to a roof top where Danny had been waiting and decided to honor their agreement, despite how much she had wanted to win. She turned back to her real form since they were away from the public and decided to just come clean to the ghost boy.
"You win..."She said, putting her hands in the air, accepting her defeat with dignity.
"You're being honest?..."Danny asked and the alien girl nodded, surprising the boy with her sincerity.
"Yes. At first, I guess I tried to tell myself that I didn't really care as we worked together while we rescued though people from the fire since I really wanted that kiss...but things changed and when that little girl thanked me... something... something went off inside me. Something... nice. Like it did when I helped Dani that one time..."She admitted, widening her smile.
"I thought so..." Danny said.
The alien princess sighed and felt like she lost. She knew that she probably missed out on a chance to kiss her beloved but she didn't want to deceive him as it would do nothing for her or the ghost boy...she had grown passed that since knowing him.
"I guess we've spent so long being warriors... we've forgotten how to be anything else. But still, fair is fair, you needn't-..."
She then felt a pair of lips touch hers briefly as Danny pulled back, holding her face. He smiled into her eyes as she turned red and seemed truly stunned right now.
"Wh-b-but our deal?..."She stuttered, actually looking really cute and endearing to the ghost boy right now.
"I said I don't have to kiss you... but I wanted to. I think... we both won something..." He said, giving the girl a coy look now.
"I...I guess we did..." Mandie responded, stammering and blushing a deep shade of red.
With that, there was no more denying the feelings between them. The two slowly closed their eyes and shared a kiss. Their first proper kiss.
"This really is the best day of my life!~..."Mandie thought in bliss as the ghost boy pulled away, leaving the girl to sigh dreamily.
The ghost boy was actually kinda in a daze right now too, to be honest.
"Wow...that was actually pretty great when I'm not being chained up or held against my will..."He thought, after parting from the girl's lips.
The two had dorky grins after they separated, blushing madly and and almost laughing in joy. All the while, Mandie felt like she was in the middle of a wonderful, wonderful dream right now.
"He kissed me...he actually kissed me WILLINGLY...Oh, Danny~..."The princess thought in a fit of romantic intoxication, clearly enamored beyond normal level right now.
Mandie was pretty much drunk with love right now as she leaned forward and kissed him again. She took the lead as their lips touched again but made Danny's eyes widened when she tried to deepen the kiss, licking the boy's lips in order to demand access but it was obviously too much for the poor boy.
"Whoa there, big girl! Too much!..."Danny said as he pulled away, surprising her.
"What now?! I thought that you were fine with kissing!..."Mandie said, not sure what's wrong now.
Danny sighed and did everything to get his emotions in check and maintain boundaries with the breathtakingly beautiful alien girl.
"Mandie...look...I like you...I really like you...I admit to that now but that was a step too far. We agreed to take it slow and I am not sure about your planet but for me, there's a BIG jump between a first mutual kiss and making out like you've been dating for a YEAR! It's too soon for something like that!..."Danny said, trying to get her to understand.
"Well, it's not like this would be the first time we kissed like that..."Mandie said, only to receive a look from him.
"Right, bad example..."Mandie said, hiding her head for a moment.
Danny sighed, wishing the predicament was between normal teens. But it was not, and he needed to adapt to the situation appropriately.
"I just don't want you doing that so soon..."He said while Mandie looked pretty upset right now, thinking he hated it.
"Was it really that bad?..."She asked, looking upset.
"It's not that it was bad...quite the opposite to be honest..."He muttered, before focusing again. "It's just that you can be pretty... extreme...if we wanna give this a chance...I need you to understand that things go certain way here and to go that far means a level of respect and trust needs to be present first..."He explained.
"I need you to understand that I want us to take things slow..."He said, trying to be diplomatic here.
Mandie knew what he meant and nodded.
"Alright...sorry...I guess I was just so happy that you finally kissed me that I lost it a bit..."She said, looking embarrassed.
"It's okay...at least you stopped when I asked to...just know that I want to take things slow and it might take a while before I am okay with kissing like that..."Danny said, feeling guilty as he liked the potential make out more than he admitted.
"How long?..."Mandie asked, wanting to be sure about something.
"I dunno...maybe after the third date while we're dating... and even then, it doesn't have to be all the time..."He said. "I am willing to admit that I like you now Mandie but I don't want to rush into anything. I need some time to think about other things before I make a decision. This is a lot to process..."He said, being serious and the princess nodded.
"Very well, I can accept those terms and conditions..."She said, nodding in agreement, since he didn't outright reject her, he just asked to take things slow.
"Good..."Danny said before placing a kiss on her cheek, making her blush again.
"But that doesn't mean I'm against kissing you...just..take it slow..."He said, almost sounding playful right now.
Mandie smiled and cupped her blushing head. She then sighed dreamily and sent him a loving look yet again.
"As you wish..."Mandie said as she and him resumed kissing, a little more chaste than passionate now but it was still enough to make the alien princess's heart soar and dance.
The two teens remained like this for a few moments, while the alien princess kept swooning, feeling emotions that she has only ever felt around the ghostly boy, an emotion that she had accepted long ago but was becoming clearer more and more each day.
"Danny...I love you!~..."Mandie thought in bliss as the kiss continued, feeling only happiness and love right now.
Knowing that she wanted nothing else than to stay with the ghost boy beyond anything else. She was fine with this for now, hoping to someday be closer to him than this.
Meanwhile
In the FOP Universe
Jorgen Von Strangle was in his office. He was busy with work, which involved monitoring the godparents and making sure their puny human godchildren were sticking to the rules
Especially Turner.
"Oh great, Turner made another wish that backfired on him, who could've seen that coming? It's almost like this happens in the span of 11-22 minutes..."He thought with an eye roll, as Turner's latest wish involved making a movie about a giant reptile and a giant gorilla real.
It was yet another problem he cause that'll usually take around 11 minutes to fix or 30 depending on its seriousness.
"With how reckless he has been getting, it's a miracle he hasn't been exposed yet..."He grumbled.
Suddenly, the toughest fairy in the universe felt the hairs on the back of his very muscular neck stand up. He let out an irritated sigh as he knew who was here.
"Not these idiots again..."He muttered when he saw who intruded in his office.
"What do you want?..." Jorgen said not even bothering to look at the Observants.
They hadn't bothered to come to this universe since that one puny human Hercules was running around Greece and that was fine with Jorgen. He had enough to deal with between Fairy World those pointy headed freaks known as the Pixies and the Anti-fairies to deal with ghosts. Especially these one eyed creeps who always seem to come just to complain about something.
"What we want is for you to undo the damage you wrought upon our universe, Von Strangle!..." One of the Observants said.
"What are you going on about?..."Jorgen asked, annoyed.
"You know what we are talking about?! You sent the Boudacians to our universe and just left them there, without even discussing things with us first!..."The other yelled.
"So, that's where they ended up? I just sent them to the closest universe with enough manpower to keep them busy..."Jorgen said with a shrug.
The Observants looked annoyed and raised their voices at him again.
"This is serious, Von Strangle! The Boudacians you transported have taken notice of our Earth and the ghost boy!..."One complained.
"Not my problem and frankly, it's not yours either..." Jorgen said dismissively.
He heard rumors about some half human/half ghost kid in another universe who supposedly defeated the king of all ghosts and was something of a hero in his own world.
One he figured could handle the Boudacians if they got too troublesome, making it a win-win for everyone...at least, in theory.
"If this ghost boy can beat Pariah Dark, he can beat some puny Boudacians..."He said but the other ghosts were not done complaining to him yet.
"This is serious, the princess alone has caused nothing but trouble!..."The first Observant yelled.
"And her parents seem to be determined to conquer our universe, just like they tried on this one..."The second Observant said, annoyed.
"Get rid of them, Von Strangle! NOW!..."The two Observants ordered.
"They aren't going to leave until I give them something, are they?..." Jorgen thought, irritated.
He let out an annoyed sigh and nodded.
"Fine, I'll send them to the universe where everything is pastrami..that good enough for you?..."Jorgen asked sarcastically
"Just as long as they don't cause any harm to OUR universe, do what you want with them..."The first Observant said, not caring.
"Fine, let's see those war crazed yahoos try to conquer deli meat..."Jorgen muttered as he slammed his wand against the ground.
To his surprise, he was now getting the "pfft" sound instead of a magical explosion.
"Huh? That's odd..."Jorgen said as he tried again but it was the same results.
"What's going on? Did it happen? Are they gone from our universe yet?..."The second Observant demanded, looking annoyed.
"Hold on, something is not right..."Jorgen said. "This shouldn't be happen unless some rule is preventing the Boudacians from leaving that world..."He said as he pulled out a copy of "Da Rules".
He did a quick read and the moment he saw what rule it was and stared silence for a moment. Then the toughest fairy in the universe broke down in hysterical laughter.
"OH MY! HAHAHAHAHAHA!..."The toughest fairy let out, nearly crying from how hard he was laughing right now.
"What's so funny, Von Strangle?!..."The first Observant demanded.
"Just send those pesky aliens away and be done with it!..."They said but the fairy just shook his head.
"No, I can't send them away from that universe...because...because..."Jorgen couldn't even finish that sentence as he fell over, laughing harder and harder.
"BECAUSE WHAT?!..."The Observants yelled, wanting to know the reason why those pests were still messing with their Earth.
"Because, according to this...the princess of Boudacia...Mandie...has f-fallen in love with the ghost boy you mentioned! HAHAHA!..."Jorgen said, still laughing hard.
The Observants eyes now looked to be even wider than before from this shocking news. Fists shaking and looking mad.
"What does that have to do with anything?!..."They demanded.
"It is the whole reason why I can't just poof them away, since fairy magic can't break true love..."Jorgen said as he calmed down a bit and closed the rule book.
"Sorry but not sorry, it's against the rules..."He explained, still finding this hilarious and chuckling a bit.
"Well, break it , you dolt!..."The Observants ordered, unaware that he was crossing a line.
Jorgen stopped laughing as he stood furiously with his wand glowing red and aimed it at the ghosts. It was obvious that they said something that they shouldn't have and the big fairy was angry.
"I will only say this once: I will NOT break the rules for ANYONE! Certainly not for you floating eyeballs! SO, DON'T EVER ASK ME THAT AGAIN!..." Jorgen yelled furiously, getting a fearful reaction.
"B-But...the Boudacians plan to invade earth in our universe!..."They both yelled.
"That is NOT my problem. If you are so worried about them, why don't you do something about them...or get that time master of your universe to handle them?!..."Jorgen asked, still aiming his wand at them.
"We are the OBSERVANTS, we cannot directly interfere with the course of events in our universe and Clockwork REFUSES to do anything about it, saying that "all is as it should be" excuse of his again. I think it's just him spiting us..."One observant complained.
"Or it means that there is no need to send them any place else. Clockwork might be eccentric but his job is to protect the timeline. If he thinks that there is no need to get rid of the Boudacians, then I am sure that all will be fine..."Jorgen said, waving off their concerns.
The Observansts did not look satisfied but the tough fairy has had enough of them and pointed his glow wand at them again. It was clear he was threatening them.
"Now leave before you see how I see for myself how my magic works against you puny ghosts!..." Jorgen threatened, still aiming his wand at them.
Taking the hint, the Observants vanished but not before saying this.
"This is not over, Jorgen. You can bet your immortal life on it!..."One said before they were gone.
"Good riddance..."Jorgen huffed before going back to his monitoring.
A few minutes later, he got the news that some human child in St. Petersburg just told someone about his fairies. It was one of those naughty kids who kept wishing for selfish things and bragging about them to his classmates, including bragging about a power armor and the fairy who gave it to him.
Jorgen sighed, since this is the third time this month that a child exposed themselves this way.
"From one annoyance to another. I need something to hold me over until my vacation..."He complained as he grabbed the "forget-i-cine" and soon poofed to Earth, but he knew that he would have to deal with Timmy Turner first and find a way to handle his latest mess.
His messes were always the most chaotic...then again, this isn't anything new for the toughest fairy in the universe.

Here are my responses to your questions:
1) I like it. I think it would be an interesting "Dating Catwoman" paring for DP.
2) I haven't really though about it.
3) Personally, I never really thought they had any real chemistry. I see them better as friends and even if they do date, I think in reality, it wouldn't last long for various reasons, mostly due to them not having that much in common in terms of personality.
:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
