Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!
Chapter 47: Changes III
Danny had brought Mandie to a play that they were showing in the park, one that was retold the story of Hamlet, complete with emulated violence which the alien princess seemed to enjoy and afterwards, they even talked about other Shakespeare stories Danny knew of.
The grabbed hot dogs, listened to a local band playing and saw kids plays with their dogs. Mandie really seemed to be enjoying their date so far. Right now, they were taking a breather and sitting on a park bench next to a couple of vending machines that offered beverages and snacks respectively.
Now they were alone and chatting about what they had seen so far.
"I must say, I rather enjoyed that play, even though the monologuing and romance did take away the intensity of the war parts of the story..."Mandie said.
"It was a Shakespeare play but yeah, I agree that it was definitely fun to watch..."Danny said.
However, his ghost sense went off and he groaned.
"Not again..."He grumbled.
"I see that your enemies never learn..."Mandie said before grinning. "Don't worry, I'll set them straight..."She said with anticipation for battle.
Before Danny could say anything, he heard the sounds of a familiar motorcycle and blasts coming from a distance and getting closer towards them. He heard that sound getting louder as he realized it was getting closer to them.
A sound that the ghost boy was unfortunately all too familiar with.
He saw who it was and frowned.
"Johnny, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be fixing that bike of yours or doing something to prove to Kitty that she doesn't need to trade up...even if she should?..."Danny snarked, but whispered that last part so neither Johnny and especially Mandie couldn't hear any sort of implication.
Johnny growled at that.
"Shut up, Little man. I just came to blow off some steam, that's all...as for Kitty, we might have had a spat but she knows that she loves me and things will go back to normal soon..."He said.
"Whatever helps you sleep better at night. Assuming you even sleep..."Danny snarked, irritating the biker even more. "Now unless you wanna get your butt kicked, I suggest going back to the ghost zone...some of us actually have dates to go on today..."He said.
"What? You?..."Johnny asked, almost laughing. "You finally made a move on that gloomy chick in black?..."He asked, in a both surprising and mocking tone of voice but didn't realize what he said infuriated someone.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT! HE'S OUT ON THIS LOVELY DATE WITH ME! NOT THAT EARTH FEMALE!..."Mandie snapped, getting the attention of the two ghosts.
"Note to self, show Mandie why she shouldn't react like that..."Danny thought, sweat dropping at the mere of that being a possibility.
However, that would wait. Johnny 13 gasped when he saw Mandie in her disguise and immediately started hitting on her.
"Hey Kitten, what's beings a babe like you around these parts?..."Johnny 13 said as he sent her a flirty look.
"I'm on a date with my beloved and you are ruining it! Leave now or perish!..."Mandie warned, irritated but the biker ghost didn't get the message.
"Huh...feisty...I like that in a woman..."Johnny said, trying to act all suave in front of her but he was just angering her more and more.
"Bad move, Johnny..."Danny said, getting a glare from the evil biker.
"You gonna do something about it, Little Man?..."Johnny challenged, pointing to his shadow.
"Me? Looks, like I don't need to..."Danny said with a smirk.
"What are you-..."Johnny was cut off when Mandie did a perfect roundhouse kick right into the middle of the ghost biker's face, sending him flying.
She also landed a good punch on the face...thanks the special gloves from her armor that work against intangibility.
"I see that you still have that those gloves from when you upgraded your armor to work against intangibility?..."Danny said. "Why do you still have them?..."He asked, suspicious.
"Do you realize how expensive these things are? I might be royalty but even I have to follow some rules and I only have a limited budget that I can't pass without my parents finding out about my...special expenses..."Mandie said like it's obvious.
Johnny recovered and seemed shocked by her strength.
"Dang...what is she? A robot?!..."He asked as he rubbed his throbbing chin where Mandie had hit him.
"Whatever...since no one is around, I guess that I can cut loose for a quick minute and deal with this idiot in a more...appropriate way..."Mandie said as she fiddled with the fake-i-fier and turned to her real form.
Johnny's jaw dropped and soon he was drooling.
"WOW! I thought you were a 10 before but...dang...you're like a 20 now!..."The greasy blonde guy said with an impressed whistle.
"Shut your mouth, Lesser male! You are not worthy to flirt with the likes of me. Also, 10? Seriously?..."She questioned, irritated.
"Either way, now its time to face your doom!..."Mandie said as she pulled out her flame sword, clearly annoyed.
She then fired her sword and hit Shadow, who had been stunned and forgot to react with intangibility, was hit and was screeching like it was in pain before it was trapped in carbonite.
"What the- what did you do to my shadow?!..."Johnny demanded, horrified.
"I disciplined it but don't worry. These effects only last a few hours...maybe days at the most...but you won't have have the time to focus on that!..."Mandie declared, aiming it at the enemy.
The biker ghost was panicking now.
"OH NO! I GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!..."Johnny said, knowing he is outmatched without his shadow.
Due to losing his main source of power, Johnny tried to flee but not only did Danny freeze the wheels of his bike to keep him from escaping but he also stopped in front of the punk ghost.
"I don't think so..."Danny said as he punched his square in the face, causing the ghost biker to yell in pain and kneeled over, smarting from the blow.
But this wasn't over as the angry alien princess
"And this is for interrupting our lovely date, you greasy haired weakling!..."Mandie shouted, raising her sword again.
Not wanting to waste any more of her swords power on this guy, Mandie threw the handle into Johnny's face, causing the greasy-haired ghost biker to fall off his motorcycle completely knocked out cold. With Johnny beaten and on the ground, Danny used the thermos and sucked him in.
"What a coward. He relies on some minion to do his dirty work and runs away the second that things looked bad for him. Pathetic..."Mandie said, not impressed.
"Johnny is more of a thug and a nuisance than a real villain...but that doesn't mean that he's not trouble if you aren't careful..."Danny said, recalling his first encounter with the biker ghost.
"Forget about that fool. You and I are on a date and I wanna get back to it..."Mandie said, reapplying the fake-i-fier's holo-disguise.
"Alright, Princess. Shall we be off then?..."Danny said as he offer his arm.
"We most certainly shall, Darling..."Mandie said as she took his by the arm again and the two walked off.
However, a loud buzzing came nearby but they ignored it as they continued with their date.
Later
A few hours had passed and it was now sundown. Danny and Mandie had a picnic together on a nice, grassy hill and Mandie truly enjoyed the things that the ghost boy brought.
He had brought some sandwiches, salad, soda, chips, cookies, wraps and pasta, along with some dessert...all of which the alien princess was eating with a delighted expression on her face.
"Mmm...delightful..."Mandie purred after taking a bite of the pasta that Danny had brought to the picnic.
"Glad you like it..."Danny chuckled.
After a few more minutes of eating, it was time for dessert.
"Ooh...and this?..."Mandie asked as she eyed the dessert.
"It's chocolate cake. You can eat that, right?..."Danny asked as the alien princess quickly scanned it.
"It's safe and it looks so good..."Mandie said, practically drooling at the sight of it.
"It is..."Danny said as he offered some to her and handed her a plate.
The two teens had eaten the cake and Mandie was practically moaning in delight upon tasting it.
"Sooo...gooood..."Mandie let out before eating more of it.
"Easy there, can't have you choke all of a sudden..."Danny warned.
"Oh please...like any dessert could defeat a Boudacian, especially me..."Mandie said, though she ate at a slower pace, mostly due to not wanting to look un-ladylike in front of her crush.
"Glad to know…"Danny chuckled with hints of mirth as he handed a can of soda.
Mandie graciously drank the beverage, finishing the can in seconds. Soon, the picnic dinner and dessert were done and Mandie had a content look on her face.
"I think I really have become fond of earth food. I wonder if this applies to the cuisine in general or just the earth in this universe..."Mandie said as she wiped her lips with a napkin.
"Well, I don't know much about your old universe but I can say that chocolate cake is a pretty popular...almost universally delicious..."Danny joked.
"You may have a point there, Darling..."Mandie giggled.
"Yeah, it's no secret how good it is. Almost beating ice cream..."He said.
"I wonder how a chocolate cake made of ice cream would taste then..."Mandie said, earning a laugh from him.
"I just hope your race doesn't get brain freeze..."Danny quipped.
"Would you partake in the dessert with me?..."She asked, sending him a cute look.
"Hard to say. You'd devour it before I could grab a bite..."Danny quipped.
"Not even if I gave you a spoonful?…"Mandie said as she fluttered her eyelashes.
Danny blushed and look away.
"Not sure..."He said, dodging the implications.
After a few minutes, things settled down a bit and the two laid on the ground on top of the picnic blanket together as they stared at the sky.
"Now, I feel stuffed...too stuffed to even fight..."Mandie said, stretching her arms.
That caught Danny's attention. He noticed that things settled down a bit and the mood seemed truly romantic. Danny smiled as a thought came to mind. Something he was meaning to say.
"Mandie...can we talk?..."Danny began, looking nervous.
"What is it, Darling?..."Mandie asked, noticing a rather pensive look on his face.
"Is something wrong?..."She asked, worried.
"No, not at all...quite the opposite actually..."He said, smiling.
"Very well, I am all ears..."The alien princess said, listening attentively to him.
"Okay...well, we have been dating for about 2 weeks starting today...and things are changing...and there might come a time where I might question weather this is a good idea or not, but right now I am..."Danny said, still smiling at her.
Mandie smiled and wasn't entirely sure what the ghost boy was talking about, but judging from the tone of his voice was hopeful that it could be something good...like if he's decided to marry her already.
"I am listening..."She said.
"Good, cause I wanna make a change..."Danny said and the alien princess grinned.
"Does this mean...that you are more open to the idea of marriage...or at least kissing in a more special way?..."Mandie asked, inching closer.
"Marriage, no...the other stuff...maybe..."Danny said, blushing deeply.
"Then what do you have in mind?..."Mandie asked, curious.
"This…"Danny said as he took her hand as he talked with a smile. The gesture made Mandie smile and she was curious about where he is going with this. "After these three dates, I gotta say, Mandie, you are out of this world…"He quipped.
Mandie stifled, and then giggled, since he seemed like he was being obvious
"Of course I am. I'm from Boudacia…"Mandie said as if it was the most obvious thing, which it was.
"We'll on Earth, it can also mean more. More in the sense…"Danny paused as he reached for it but not before he mentally prepared himself and said the following.
"I wanna give you something..."He said.
"A present?..."Mandie asked, surprised.
"Yeah but I wanna be clear on something. I am not asking you to marry me right now and I am no were near ready for that...but what I wanna give you at least means I trust you and that I'm trying to meet you halfway here..."Danny said as he pulled something out.
It was a ring.
"A ring?..."Mandie said as she got a closer look.
It's not an engagement ring. It was less attractive than diamond rings, but it seemed to be made from a golden metal and there was a purple gemstone on it.
"It's a class ring..."Danny said as he handed it to her.
"Class ring?..."Mandie asked, confused.
The ghost boy nodded. He could tell from the look on her face she had no idea what that meant, so he decided to explain.
"My dad told me that when a guy is serious about a girl and wants her to be his girlfriend, you have to give her one of these. He says that a girlfriend isn't your girlfriend until she gets one..."Danny said.
"Girlfriend?..."Mandie asked, sounding stunned.
"I'm not sure if this is the same concept on your world but I want us to go steady and move our relationship into the next level. I really like getting to know you Mandie and I really like being around you...and these last few weeks made me realize that it's not platonic. There is a lot about you that I am attracted to, not just your looks and your skills. I'm not ready for marriage...but I want to date you. I think that I wanna go steady with you...as boyfriend and girlfriend..."Danny said, blushing bashfully once he finished.
Mandie could only stare in stunned silence and her jaw dropped, an unreadable look on her face while the ghost boy waited for her response with bated breath.
It finally hit her, realizing that Danny wants her.
"Danny...I...I..."Mandie stammered before the biggest smile ever adorned her face.
She felt overjoyed yet yet she could feel her eyes tearing up as tears fell from her face and couldn't understand why since she wasn't sad at the least.
"YES!..."Mandie squeeled as she pounced on him and immediately kissed him.
"WOAH!..."Danny reacted but soon found himself kissing her back.
The moment she pulled away, the alien princess looked positively excited and elated at the successful development in her plans in winning his heart.
"YES! YES! YES! ! Of course, I will! Oh, I can't believe this! I am one step closer to finding my happily ever after!..."She exclaimed, looking truly happy and giddy.
"I'm...glad that you didn't say no..."Danny said as she began to kiss his cheek multiple times in a happy fit.
"If she's this excited just to get a class ring, I can't help but wonder how'd she react if I ever do pop the question..."He mused, putting that aside as the alien beauty finally let him go and admired her new jewelry.
"Wonderful..."Mandie said as she placed the ring on her finger.
"So, you like the ring?..."He asked as she kept smiling.
"I absolutely love it, Danny. It might not be an engagement ring, but I'll treasure this forever!..."She said as she admired it.
"I'm just happy that you like it..."Danny said, seeing how good the purple ring looks on her.
Mandie was so elated and sent the ghost boy an enamored look, feeling emotions only he could stir up in her, but they are stronger than they have ever been now.
"So, my darling new boyfriend...what do you say that we celebrate this momentous occasion with a special make out session to express how close we have become?..."Mandie said, sending him a sultry look as she fluttered her eye lashes.
"I don't see why not..."Danny said, actually surprising the beautiful alien girl.
"You serious?!..."Mandie asked, almost like she couldn't believe it.
Danny nodded.
"W-Well...we...are sorta...an item now and...well, I did say that after the third date...I'd be more open to...kissing like that..so...a little making-out certainly isn't out of the question...but if you don't want to..."Danny said as he proceeded to rub the back of his head
"Oh, I want to...make no mistake about that!..."Mandie said as she quickly pulled out her make up and handheld mirror from her bag.
"Just please give me a moment to freshen up a bit..."She said as she began applying her lipstick and checking her reflection.
"Uh, no problem..."Danny said as she got ready.
When Mandie wasn't looking, he quickly pulled out some breath spray and squirted some in his mouth, quickly checking to see how it smelt. Luckily, it was minty thanks to the spray, without a hint of any of the food that he had during the picnic.
Meanwhile, Mandie inspected her teeth. It was bright with cleanliness. There were no blemishes and not a single crumb of food stuck in her teeth to be found, meaning she is perfectly ready to her beloved the best and most passionate kiss that she can give him.
"Finally!..."She thought, eager.
Soon, both teens are done and looked back at each other with shyness and attraction too.
"Sooo..."Mandie started, sending him flirty eyes.
"So..."Danny said, returning the gesture.
"So my darling...do you wish to kiss the universe's mightiest female warrior, who also happens to be mad about you?..."Mandie said, excited and nervous, leaning down, inching his face closer.
"Maybe I do..."Danny said, feeling similar things.
"Then do it ..."She said, pressing down on the ghost boy.
Danny soon laid on his back as Mandie was now on top of him, lips a breath away. However, before she started, she needed to be sure about something.
"Are you sure about this? I admit that sometimes I can get excited so...there is a chance that I may get a tiny bit forceful on you, right? So I hope you won't mind?..."She asked.
Danny nodded.
"It'll be fine. I trust you to stop when you know and not to go too far..."He said.
"Still, you'll let me know when I'm going too far, right?..."She asked, being cautious.
Danny nodded.
That was all that Mandie needed. The very second that the ghost boy gave his full consent to the alien warrior princess, she took full advantage of this rare opportunity to strike.
The alien princess closed the gap between them and began to kiss the ghost boy with all the passion and joy she could muster, releasing everything pent up that she's been keeping bottled up for the past few weeks. Right now, all she could feel is bliss and joy as she smooched her beloved with all her might.
"This is a dream come true!..."Mandie thought as she moaned in joy and triumph as she kissed her BOYFRIEND.
"I gotta admit, I didn't see myself getting into this position but I'm not complaining anymore..."Danny thought as he was being kissed by his GIRLFRIEND, who soon began licking his lips for entry.
Danny obliged and soon the two unique teens began to hold on to each other as they continued to lock lip that was now deeper and more passionate.
"Why was I trying to avoid this again?..."Danny thought, enjoying the kiss.
"I love you, Danny!~..."Mandie thought, in true bliss.
The moment was almost too good to be true. Which sadly it was.
"What the heck?!…"Was suddenly heard.
Danny and Mandie separated to look around. To their shock, Sam was standing mere feet away with her jaw dropped and an infuriated expression on her face.
"Uh…Sam…what-what are you doing here?!..."Danny asked, shocked to see her.
"That's what I should be asking!…"Sam yelled, stomping the ground. "Just what are you doing swapping spit with HER!?…"She demanded, looking outraged.
Danny and Mandie glanced at each other, entangled in each other's arms. Mandie wore a smirk of victory as Danny seemed nervous.
"I...uh..."Danny stammered, while Mandie looked proud and smirked.
"It is you who should answer that. There is nothing wrong with me kissing my BOYFRIEND as much as I desire..."Mandie said with a victorious smile at her rival.
"BOYFRIEND?!..."Sam exclaimed, glaring viciously.
"Didn't you hear? Danny has asked me to go, as you humans say, steady with him..."Mandie said as she flashed her new ring to the goth, letting her get a good view of it.
Sam's head slowly moved towards Danny, almost making the sound of gravel sliding on cement.
"Sam...look...I can explain..."Danny tried, but the goth turned away.
"Don't bother! I see now that you have finally lost your mind!..."She yelled.
"Don't insult my darling, Earth girl!..."Mandie warned.
"Shut it, Space case!..."Sam shot at her.
"What did you say?!..."Mandie said as she got up, insulted.
Both females looked like they were going to brawl but Danny got between them.
"Calm down, you two..."Danny said. "Mandie, remember your promise..."He said and the alien girl reluctantly stood down.
He then turned to Sam with a scolding look on his face.
"Sam, not cool! What's gotten into you? I was just giving Mandie a second chance! And she's earned it…a lot...so, chill out!..."He said and the goth girl turned red.
Sam looked absolutely astonished at even being asked that question.
Her anger was too great to respond properly, and so she turned around to leave but not before sending him another dirty look.
"You really have lost it! I can't believe you've become this blinded by hormones! Whatever, I don't care anymore! You wanna breed evil super soldiers with her, fine! Just don't try crying for my help when this whole thing explodes in your face!..."Sam said as she marched away in anger, too angry to even speak to him right now.
The ghost boy and the alien remained still, upset but still not budging from his choice.
"I can't believe her..."He said, upset by what had just happened.
"I see that she still doesn't approve of us..."Mandie said, annoyed by the other female's attitude.
"That's putting it lightly. She didn't even know I was taking you on dates lately, much less this! I get why she doesn't trust you...given what happened, but I just don't understand why she hates the idea of adding any new people to our group..."Danny said, lost.
"My darling is very cute...but it seems he can be clueless at times..."Mandie thought, seeing the reason.
She then wrapped her arms around him and cuddled closer, nuzzling his cheek and getting his attention again.
"Do not pay her any mind. It's her fault if she can't feel happy for us but we are not doing anything wrong. I am here to win your heart and only you have a say if I can kiss you or not..."Mandie said.
"Well, you're not wrong..."Danny said, knowing she had a point.
"Let's forget about her right now and go back to...celebrating our new step forward into our relationship..."Mandie said, as she stared deeply into his eyes.
Danny was still upset by what happened with his stubborn female friend but soon found himself giving into her request and making out with the disguised alien girl until it was time for them to go home. Both of them were still feeling happy by how this third date went, not counting what happened with Sam...something the ghost boy will handle later.
All things considered, today was certainly something that neither the ghost boy or the alien princess will be forgetting anytime soon.
However...unknown to the ghost boy, a small white robot that looked like an insect watched them, seeing how close the ghost boy had gotten to the alien girl.
"Hmmm...I see Daniel has had a change of opinion. What a little fool...The figure who spied on them said, frowning.
