Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!
Chapter 54: Visits and Confrontations II
It was a typical afternoon in Amity Park and Danny was in the middle of getting ready for his date with Mandie.
"Here we go..."He thought as he comb his hair, though it was a challenge to tame it, though it still remained as spiky as ever.
He then used some quick breath-spray, cologne and deodorant so that he'll smell his best today. Once done, he left to go meet up with his super hot, alien princess girlfriend.
It was him and a beautiful young woman (alien, but still beautiful), and there's no reason why he can't look his best today.
"I sure hope that all that combing that I've done to myself won't be going to waste today, I kinda wanna get though at least half the date before she jumps me and messes it up..."He thought with a grin.
He then changed forms and quickly flew out the window, eager to meet up with his girlfriend from beyond the stars. As he flew, Sam and Tucker followed from a distance fair enough to not be seen.
"This feels like a bad idea..."The tech geek muttered.
"Define how this is a bad idea to save him from an alien that could rip a person in two..." Sam said.
"That person that might be ripped in two could be one of us!..." Tucker pointed out.
"So long as we don't get caught this time, then we won't be!..."Sam said, irritated by his whining.
"Plus, didn't Danny tell us not to spy on them anymore? And by us, I mean you DRAGGING me into your crazy stunts..."Tucker said with some edge in his tone.
Sam glared at him.
"I'm NOT crazy, and Danny is too blinded by his hormones to think straight! Now let's go already!..."She said in a harsh tone.
She then went to her scooter and floored it, going after the oblivious ghost boy and her rival from outer space.
Tucker sighed.
"I just hope that Mandie is in a good mood today. If so, she might just settle for beating one of us up...and hopefully it won't be me..."He muttered as he started his scooter and followed his gothic friend.
Or rather, he chased after her in hopes that she won't do anything TOO impulsive and risk the wrath of the alien princess who has an intense interest in their friend.
Later
Danny soon arrived to his destination and after a few moments of waiting, he saw Mandie's space ship land in it's usual spot.
"Right on time, as always..."He said with a chuckle.
He grinned as he pulled out the bouquet that he got for her, but not before putting on some more breath spray and even had some breath mints on his way here.
Soon enough, the space ship opened and Mandie walked out, dressed in her regular outfit that still made her look stunning. She looked around for her boyfriend until she quickly saw him and started to grin ear to ear.
"Hey Mandie, you look great. I brought you some-..."Danny was cut off when the alien princess ran towards him the very moment she saw him.
"Danny!..."Mandie said in excitement as she tackled him and quickly pulled him in for a big kiss.
Danny was taken back and nearly dropped the bouquet as the alien beauty stole a kiss from him. Mandie then pushed Danny against the wall of her ship and closed the gap between them, immediately trying to dominate his mouth and running her fingers in his hair, effectively ruining the combing he did earlier, but he didn't notice or care.
"Always the forward one, huh? Oh well, if you can't beat them then join them..."Danny thought before kissing her back.
"MUAH!~
After she pulled away, Mandie was panting heavily and had the biggest grin on her face right now.
"I've been waiting so long to do this..."She said as she kissed him again.
"But it's been almost a week since we last saw each other..."Danny said, after she pulled away.
"Exactly!..."Mandie said, before kissing him once more.
"Fair point..."Danny said, before kissing her back.
After a moment, they pulled apart and were panting heavily once more. Mandie had a big smile on her face, but went wide eyed as she realized that she basically lost some of her restraint.
"Sorry for the loss of control, I've just really wanted to see your again..."Mandie said, with an intense and longing look in her eyes.
"I'm not complaining..."Danny said with a chuckle.
"Good, neither am I..."Mandie said before planting one more kiss on him.
After about a minute of lip-locking, the couple pulled away and were both panted heavily and grinning a lot.
"Our date hasn't officially started yet and I'm already having so much fun with you, my beloved..."Mandie said, looking satisfied.
"Trust me, I can tell. But let's save the rest of our game of tonsil hockey for later, so we can at least make it to the mall..."Danny said.
"Fine, but I make no promises about resisting my desires to kiss you if the mood strikes me..."Mandie said, looking coy as she said so.
"Dully noted..."Danny said, chuckling a bit. " Oh, and before I forget. Here..."He said.
The ghost boy then handed her the flowers he got her, this time a small assorted bouquet with multiple kinds of flowers.
"These are for you..."He said.
Mandie's eyes lightened up.
"Aw, Danny. Such a charmer..."Mandie said before placing a kiss on his cheek...before she pulled him in for another round of tonsil-hockey.
"Of course..."Danny thought, amused as she kissed her back.
"MUAH!~
After she pulled away, Mandie had a satisfied look on her face, while Danny blushed.
"Glad to see that you still like earth flowers..."Danny said as he touched his lips.
Mandie giggled.
"They are lovely, and I'd love any gift from you. Especially since it's proof that you share my feelings..."She said in a rather sweet way.
Danny smiled.
"I still think we'd have started dating sooner if she acted this way and not go on a literal man hunt..."He thought, more amused by the irony of it all.
After Mandie placed the flowers in a vase in her ship, she returned, used the fake-i-fier to return to her human form and grinned at her boyfriend.
"Ready, Darling?..."She asked in a coy way.
"Ready..."Danny said with a grin as he took her hand.
The two supernatural teens then went out on their date, both ready for a fun and romantic time between them.
Later
Danny was having a great time carrying Mandie via Air Phantom. He wanted to do this for a while since their last date, though all he could was show his girlfriend around town. Still, all the sights were wonderful for the girl.
Each visit to this town made her more fascinated and feel more at home.
"This world is too nice to invade anyway..." Mandie thought as her boyfriend showed her the sights.
"How's your view from Air Phantom?..."Danny asked.
"Oh, it's breathtaking...in more ways than one..."Mandie said smiling.
"In that case, hold on tight because I'm shifting from gentle blimp ride to speeding jet..."The ghost boy said as he continued to fly to their destination.
Danny then brought Mandie to the mall and the alien princess wasted no time in getting an ice cream, using the gift card she had won, since she still had some cash left in that card.
"So good. Whoever decided to combine milk, sugar, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and ice all together was brilliant!..."Mandie said as she got a triple scoop cone that was chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.
"I see that you still like ice cream..."Danny said as he went to get his own cone.
"Of course, this frozen delight is a treasure from beyond the stars..."Mandie said, before noticing her boyfriend at the counter, trying to get one for himself.
"I'll pay for his ice cream, use this to cover it..."She said as she pulled out her gift card again.
"You don't have to do so, Mandie..."Danny said, since he had enough money to pay for his own.
"I want to. Consider it as my thanks for introducing me to my new favorite dessert, Darling. Besides, my victories should be celebrated by sharing the spoils of my triumphs..."Mandie said, smiling.
Danny chuckled as he picked out his ice cream, which Mandie paid for.
Soon, they went to a table and started to enjoy the ice cream and even shared the others a bit with each other, which Mandie enjoyed a lot.
"If only my own home planet had these delicious frozen treats, we might have reconsidered doing more than just invade worlds..."Mandie said, grinning.
"Maybe, but then you and your people would probably bloat up from all that ice cream..."Danny said, as he imagine Mandie's people making line to various ice cream shops .
His alien girlfriend giggled at that.
"You could be right, my darling, but the possibility of bloating and brain-freeze is so worth it..."Mandie said, engulfing the frozen treat with much pleasure.
"I know, but ever since I got my ice powers, I almost forgot what brain freeze even feels like..."Danny said as he ate some of his own.
"Lucky, you get to enjoy this glorious treat without any downsides..."Mandie said, before taking another bite of her ice cream.
"Well, brain freeze or not, I'm still putting my waistline at risk of getting bigger..."Danny joked.
Mandie chuckled.
"Well, if that happens...I guess I'll have to make sure that our sparing gets a lot more...physical...and...intense...just so that your waistline doesn't exceed it's necessary amount. I might even wear my new training armor while I do it and go all out..."She said in a playful way, being as flirty as possible while still stuffing her face with ice cream.
"Easy there. We still haven't even dated a year..."Danny said in a half-joking sort of way.
"You love the idea, I know it..."Mandie said in a coy way, before she ate more of her ice cream.
Once done, she had a content look on her face. So, did Danny, who was only half done with his.
"Looks like someone just found their newest craving. And you haven't even tried all the kinds of flavors yet, but I'm sure it's the best one yet..."He said, having never imagined that an alien warrior princess could have such a sweet tooth.
"Oh, believe me. I plan on sampling each one of these delightful ice cream flavors in time, in time, but a girl has to watch her figure..."Mandie said, and her boyfriend chuckled at that.
The disguised alien giggled innocently, staring at the cone before her eyes went to Danny.
"I will admit that this ice cream is glorious...but right now, I am craving something even sweeter..."She said in a hinting way.
Danny chuckled again, realizing what she is getting at.
"Alright, I think I get what you're saying..."He said, grinning.
"Good..."Mandie said as she leaded forward and he did the same.
The two teens puckered up and were about to lock lips again, but they wouldn't get a chance to do so.
"Well, well, well. Look at what we got here..."A snotty voice, interrupting them.
Danny and Mandie stopped before their lips could meet, frowned and turned around and saw who interrupted them. It was Paulina and her "satellite" Star.
"I see that Dash wasn't lying. Fenton actually found himself a girlfriend that isn't that goth freak, even if I thought that was just a rumor..."Star said with a mean look on her face, which was matched by her equally snobby friend.
"I'll say. She must be new, since she clearly doesn't know any better. And look at that hair. Purple hair...that's so 90's and it should have stayed there where it belongs..."Paulina said in a snobby way, and denying that the girl was pretty.
Mandie glared upon hearing this and felt the urge to do harm on the annoying female who just insulted her, but she was forced to show restraint and settle for using her words.
"Danny, who are these insects?..."Mandie asked, angry as she nearly crushed her spoon too hard.
"They are girls from my school, Paulina and Star. They are Dash's friends and part of the A-listers. And as you can tell, we aren't friends..."Danny said, giving a brief description of them.
"I see. Then I suppose there's no point in putting on a polite mask. That would be such a waste of effort..."Mandie said, irritated.
Paulina and Star heard how she referred to them as bugs and they got offended, especially Paulina.
"Uh, who do you think you are?..."Paulina asked, arms crossed.
"My name is Mandy Hurtz and you two are annoying us, now leave..."Mandie said with some edge in her voice.
Paulina frowned.
"Hey new girl, do you have any idea on who I am?..."She said, sounding snooty.
Mandie, however, was nowhere close to looking intimidated by her. She then sent the self-proclaimed queen bee a cutthroat glare, her temper already rising.
"Someone who is hopelessly unaware of how in over her head she is right now..."She said in an icy tone, trying to maintain her temper and not give into her violent urges.
"Mandy..."Danny tried to calm her down, but he saw the girls glaring at each other and felt the tension.
"Why do I feel like someone might call the cops in the next few minutes if they don't stop?..."He thought, worried as his girlfriend kept glaring at the popular girls.
Paulina and Mandie were glaring at each other.
Mandie didn't like her because she thought she was a nuisance, and Paulina didn't like any pretty girl who wasn't in the A-list and whom she couldn't use her status to boss around...basically, she didn't like this girl because she thought she was a threat and because she dared to speak to her like this.
So, the spoiled brat did what she always did when facing this kind of girl. She tried to get under her skin.
She examined her and frowned.
"Darn it...she's pretty...too pretty for Fenton, that's for sure..."She thought, before smirking as she went to the next best thing.
Criticizing fashion.
Her eyes landed on the girls belt and scoffed.
"Nice belt, sale at the 89 cents store?..."Paulina snarked.
Mandie didn't react, she just kept a cool expression.
"It was a gift..."She lied, irritated.
"Not a good one..." Paulina scoffed.
"Burn!..." Star went.
Mandie rolled her eyes. She was already annoyed by them and she wanted to get back to her date and the chance to make-out with Danny.
"Don't you...peppy little dolls have anywhere else to be other than in my way?..."Mandie said, very irritated by these self proclaimed queen bees.
Paulina and Star both frowned.
"I guess we do have better things planned today, don't we Star? Like anywhere but here..."Paulina said in a rude way.
"Yeah, something only meant for real girls not just for people with a pretty face around losers..."Star said with a mean giggle.
"Totally true, if you don't have any better people to be around then you'll just end up being a waste of space..."Paulina said, not realizing that she's angering a violent alien.
"Don't make me destroy you..."Mandie said, resisting the urge to hit them in the face.
"Oh, please, like I haven't seen those jealous faces before..."Paulina, who never knew competition, keeping a brave face out of not knowing what to do. And that's when she remembered Danny's existence.
"But it's not like you're anything special..."Paulina said, as she pointed to Danny. "I mean, with your taste in boys, you'd look better in the trash..."She mocked.
"What?!..."Mandie leaned into Paulina, her fuse already lit.
The alien princess resisted the urge to throw something big and heavy at them, but it was really hard to do so.
"Such insolence, if they had any idea who I was, they'd be begging for mercy, not that there would be any! Who do these clowns think they are?!..."Mandie thought in anger, resisting to follow her instincts and deck these two.
"Mandy...don't. It's not worth it..."Danny whispered to her, worried about how badly she would react.
However, the princess had other ideas and wouldn't allow mere feeble and unimportant humans get under her skin. She had better ideas as she turn her angry glare into a confident grin towards her man.
"Don't worry, I won't break my promise..."Mandie said to him, sending him a reassuring smile.
Once she did so, she turned to Paulina and Star, and stood tall and proud with her arms crossed at them. They still glared at each other, though.
"Listen here, Paula..."Mandie said.
"It's Paulina..."The brat corrected, annoyed.
"Don't care. You listen too little miss satellite or whatever you are..."Mandie said, and the two girls looked offended.
"What did you just call me?!..."Star asked, looking mad.
"A satellite...though, I doubt you'd even get a single important things to hear from this empty-headed mannequin with make up. Now leave us be..."Mandie said, in a somewhat judging tone.
Paulina looked offended and Star seemed shocked that someone even had the nerve to say that to someone like her.
"Uh, excuse me? Who do you think you are?!..."Star demanded, looking insulted by what she just called her.
"A girl who is losing her patience and wasting her time against a little mouthpiece concerned with her own vanity, so I'll make this simple for you comprehend..."Mandie said as her cold tone lowered immediately changed the atmosphere around them.
"Get lost, you little doll. Go find accessories elsewhere, preferably in the nearest cesspool, where your standards take you..."She said.
Paulina gasped her what she thought was her audacity.
"Oh, you did not just say that?! It's time you know who I am!..."She snapped.
"The person that's about to be sent to the hospital, if she doesn't leave my eyesight in the next 10 seconds..."Mandie said, her fists shaking.
"You nutcase! Like you have the nerve to talk to me like that, Ms. Hair Dye!..."Paulina said, getting into her face until the ghost boy stepped in.
"Easy there. Let's not do anything we're all gonna regret!..."Danny said, trying to prevent a potential girl fight and Mandie relapsing...or worse.
Paulina saw this and scoffed.
"Shut up loser! You're such a typical geek. First you like me, then you go to the only girl who'd go out with you. Pffft! I bet you're still feeling sore about not dating me..."The popular girl said rudely.
Mandie's anger dropped as she heard this, turning to Danny in surprise.
"WAIT?! WHAT?! DANNY LIKED HER?!..."Mandie thought, nearly busting her razor sharp weapon.
Danny was worried that she'd attack first and ask questions never but his voice was cut off by Mandie's.
"Do you mind repeating that? I don't think I heard you the first time..."The purple haired girl said.
Oh please, you heard me find the first time... new girl..."Paulina said, not wanting to waste her time repeating herself to her.
The purple haired girl frowned harder and Danny was really worried about what she'd do next. Thankfully, she managed to keep her cool and just kept a neutral look.
"I don't see it..."Mandie said.
"Excuse me?..."Paulina asked. "What's that suppose to mean?..."She demanded.
"I said I don't see it. The appeal of a harpy like you..."Mandie said, looking down on her.
"Oh please, any guys wants to be with the hottest girl in school. And that's me..."Paulina said, flaunting her hair in arrogant pride.
"Hmpt, if that is true than your school clearly has low standards..."Mandie said, while Star and Paulina both gasped at the kind of insult they were given.
Mandie smirked as she continued.
"I don't see why my darling would ever ever even associate with...much less pursue someone so weak...both physically and weak-minded as a mate like some cheap toy..."Mandie scoffed, looking over Paulina in a critical way with a somewhat dismissive expression on her face.
Paulina gasped, and was completely shock at what her ears just heard. She was now snarling at Mandie. She was so angry, the girl would have popped a blood vessel.
"Oh no, you did NOT just call me cheap?!..."The dark haired girl shouted.
"The fact that you are slow on the uptake just proves my point. You didn't even see the real insult..."Mandie said, smirking while Star gasped at the kind of burn the girl just sent Paulina.
On the other hand, Paulina was furious that someone insulted her straight to her face TWICE and thought she'd get away with it.
"You can't talk to me like that?! I'm the most popular girl at Casper High and the queen of the A-Listers. I'm a big deal! I am the future of pretty, so back off! You don't know what I can do!..."Paulina snapped.
Mandie, however, lost her patience and decided to stop playing around. She now grabbed Paulina by the wrist, breaking the girl's confidence as she decided to end this now.
"Now listen...you may claim to be "queen" to these A-Listers, but that doesn't mean anything to me, as I know that you have no real power...just an overinflated view of yourself and the power you THINK you're entitled to. Whatever status or power you think you have, it has nothing to do with me..."Mandie said, already knowing that these A-listers are just a bunch of arrogant humans who was full of themselves, or so she had heard from Danny.
She then went to the most serious issue of all here.
"Also, Polly or whatever you're called..."Mandie began.
"Paulina!..."The spoiled girl snapped.
"Like I said, I don't care. You seem to have some sort of misunderstanding here. I'm not the one who should fearing what you could do to me..."She began as she closed in on the girl with a very negative look on her face as she continued. "YOU'RE the one who should be VERY fearful of me! The things I could do will give your nightmares nightmares, making a good night's sleep next to difficult So, don't peeve me off..."She said as she then pulled a secret weapon.
Since she couldn't use violence, she sent these females a Boudacian signature glare, the same one sent to an enemy before pulverizing them in battle and later chopping their heads off.
Obviously, she can't do that due to her promise to Danny but the purple haired princess used another tactic, non-physical intimidation, which often worked to get into an enemy's head.
And for someone so shallow and empty, it was a guarantee to work.
Paulina tried to say something back, but her eyes widened as the tone and glare from the other female was very intense. Star was also feeling scared for her life as the purple haired girl's glare was like she was trying to burn holes into them. Both popular females gulped, feeling nervous, but tried to hide it, though one of the couldn't help but shiver in fear a bit.
"W-Whatever..."Paulina said, trying not to act afraid. "L-Let's go Star, we don't need to be around these losers..."She said, trying to look unshaken.
"R-Right..."Star said, as she and her friend then left...or ran away from the purple haired girl.
Once the two girls were gone, trying to go back to gossiping and not acting like they had just been frightened by the new girl. The alien princess smirked, glad that they were gone.
"Finally..."She muttered as she sat down.
She then turned to face her boyfriend, with a sheepish look.
"Sorry, Darling, but I couldn't let them keep talking to us like that..."Mandie said, expecting a scolding and maybe some criticism.
To her surprise, she didn't hear any criticism from him. Not at all. Instead... Mandie then noticed his expression, he didn't look angry at all.
If anything, he seemed more attracted than ever.
"Wow...so hot!~..."He said, looking smitten right now.
Mandie heard this and smiled.
"Well, I was at least expecting to get an earful. But now instead I'm getting an eyeful from you...not that I mind..."She said, happy that he wasn't upset about this.
"Though I wasn't expecting all this adulation from you..."She added.
"Adu-what?..."Danny asked, clueless.
"It pretty much means praising someone a lot...not that I'm complaining. Feel free to go back to that if you like..."She said, grinning.
"Maybe not now...and well...I mean...it's pretty cool seeing you kick butt but...well, that was scary...but in a hot way...It's hard to explain, but I guess I always had a weakness for strong women..."He admitted.
Mandie smiled.
"Good, because I won't rest until I am the mightiest female warrior in the universe..."She boasted, happy that he approved of this.
She managed to get rid of those pests without lifting a finger or breaking her promise. And as a bonus, her darling seems to be even more besotted with her for it.
"An unexpected bonus, but I'll certainly take what I can get..."She thought, pleased with herself.
However, she recalled something from that confrontation that made her frown. Paulina's previous statement echoed mentally, cutting off her pride.
"Darling, is what that Perla or whatever her name is true...did you truly...liked her?..."Mandie asked, with a controlled but also displeased voice in her tone.
Danny frowned. He sighed as he knew what she was asking.
He didn't want to talk about it, but the cat was out of the bag. Plus, he didn't want Mandie to misunderstand anything and did his best it snowballed into any possible misconceptions.
"It was a long time ago, at the start of Freshman year. I tried to ask her out a few times, but she always turned me down...rather roughly, since she was the hottest girl in school and I was the target of every bully in school. But believe me, that was a long time ago and I haven't even given her a second thought since...well, since before you came into the picture..."Danny said, being honest.
His alien girlfriend, however, still seemed a bit bewildered and upset about this little fact about her beloved. Almost like she was insulted or something.
"Uh...did I say something wrong?..."He wondered, as she sulked.
"I cannot believe that you once fancied someone as annoying as her..."Mandie said, almost looking insulted. "I'm way prettier than those two, even without my disguise..."She thought, trying not to feel jealous.
Thankfully, her boyfriend chuckled and nodded.
"Sam said the exact same thing. Believe me, that ship has set sailed long ago..."Danny said, regretting how he acted around her in the past. "Paulina might be pretty, but she only has her looks going for her. Even if she has a thing for my ghost side, I just don't have any interest in her anymore. Plus, you're way hotter anyway and in more ways..."He said.
Mandie seemed pleased to hear this and felt better.
"Good, because you're mine now, and I refuse to lose you to another, especially to someone as weak as annoying as that girl..."She said, being stubborn...until she just remembered another factoid that her beloved just mentioned to her that caught her attention
"What was that about liking your ghost half?..."She asked.
"She has no idea that me and my ghost half are one in the same. She sees human Danny as a loser, but is always drooling over my ghost half since I saved her life. It got old a long time ago and to be honest, it's been kind of a routine annoyance lately. I stopped caring a while back..."Danny said.
"What a fool. Thinking that she now has a chance with either form of yours, especially now that you have me by your side. Besides, she must have vision problems...you're just as cute in this form as your other one..."Mandie said, her boyfriend grabbed hold of her hand and focused all his attention onto her.
It was clear that she wanted to protect what she believed was hers, while her boyfriend smiled at what she just said.
"Thanks..."Danny said, smiling.
Most people seem to prefer his ghost half, so this was nice to hear.
"I don't want to talk about her anymore. If we are going to talk about females you have an interest in, it better be about me..."Mandie said, sounding a bit jealous but managed to play it off as flirtatious.
Danny, however, knew that she was somewhat serious about that, but couldn't help but laugh.
"Don't worry, I already got all the female attention I need right here..."He said, actually finding her jealousy kind of cute...when she's being NON-violent that is.
Mandie heard this and her jealous face soon morphed into a smile as she felt happiness and hormones once more. Instinctively, she licked her lips, making her feeling conveyed properly.
"Good, because I think you need a reminder, just in case..."She said, pleased before she grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him in for a kiss.
Danny soon felt pleasure from Mandie's kiss and when she pulled away, she looked like she had the opposite of a brain freeze on her face. The ghost boy had the same exact expression, while the alien princess seemed to melt a bit, before she started smirking.
"That was the kiss we were suppose to have before those little nuisances interrupted us. Do I need to remind you again, my love?..."She said, actually sounding flirty this time around.
"You sure do, princess..."Danny said with a chuckle, as she kept her arms around him and planted another kiss on him, which he returned.
After that, the two teens continued to eat the rest of their ice cream before the frozen treats melted away. They both forgot about the interruptions and felt happy as their date continued...unaware that someone had watched the entire thing from a distance.
Two people...one who watched in anger and envy, while the other watched with exasperation and wishing he was anywhere else but here.
Later
Danny and Mandie soon went to the aquarium and they were now looking at the many sea creatures on display.
"So, this is where you house your aquatic specimens. Impressive for a species so primitive in their technology..."Mandie said in fascination as she watched a sea turtle swimming in the tank in front of them.
"I guess you haven't visited an aquarium in space before, have you?..."Danny said.
"No, but there are intergalactic zoos in my old universe...but I'd doubt you'd find them enjoyable. Still, this is truly a beautiful sight to behold..."She admitted, seeing a colorful angel wish swim by.
"Uh...I'm not sure exactly WHAT they put in those intergalactic zoos, but I'm pretty sure Sam would hate them as much as normal zoos..."Danny said, unsure if he should ask more about it.
However, Mandie seemed too busy being mesmerized of what she's seeing to hear her boyfriend's words. Danny decided to drop the subject and do the same. They simply admired the many sea creatures that swam across the display glasses.
She saw a school of koi fish swim by and smiled.
"Such beauty..."She admitted.
"I see one better..."Danny stared at Mandie, more enamored with how the light of the tanks bounced off her. She looked like a goddess at the moment, but he never said a word out loud.
Mandie didn't notice as she saw some spider crabs in a tank and giggled, finding them strangely familiar.
"These creatures remind me of the Cryostacean from the planet Zerodegry...though they are much smaller and don't seem as hyper intelligent as them..."She admitted.
"Those are spider crabs. And I doubt their in the mood to play chess anytime soon..."Danny said, unsure of what that creature is, but taking her word on it...enough to at least try a joke.
"Yes...clearly..."Mandie said, watching two males eat some food left for them. "I must say, this Earth is full of surprises..."She admitted.
They soon went to the next tank, which was a baby beluga whale that was swimming and blowing bubbles as people admired it.
"My...this creature reminds me of the Duoumi creatures of the Vegon system back in my old universe..."Mandie said, fascinated.
"It's a beluga whale, an aquatic mammal and one of those animals that's both cute and powerful at the same time..."Danny explained.
"I can see why. It's might look fearsome but I can tell it has no interest in combat..."Mandie admitted.
The couple continued to see the sea creatures and Mandie became fascinated learning more of these earth creatures.
"Which is the mightiest of these sea creatures? The strongest one?..."Mandie asked, naturally curious.
"There is a ton of them out there, but one of the most well-known ones are the sharks. They are one of the most infamous predators in the sea..."Danny said as he brought Mandie to a shark tank.
The alien princess saw the shark in the tank and saw the large tiger shark swimming and looking quite intimidating too. It's feral and jagged jaws scared some of the nearby children with its abysmal eyes. However, the alien princess was impressed at the sight of the aquatic beast.
"Oh my, I can sense the ferocity even from here. Makes me wish that my home planet housed these creatures. Such battles these creatures must have..."Mandie said, fascinated.
"Be careful, sharks are extremely well-known to bite first and ask questions never.. They eat anything they cross paths with and are REALLY aggressive to anyone that looks edible..."Danny said.
"Kind of reminds me of my father when he's hungry. Or just mildly peckish..."Mandie said, earning a laugh from her boyfriend.
"Huh? My dad's not that different when he's hungry either. Especially around ham or fudge..."Danny said, earning a laugh from her too.
"I see. They haven't even met and they already have so much in common...Odd..."Mandie said, amused.
"I guess it must be a dad thing, you can find it anywhere..."Danny joked.
"Perhaps. I am unfamiliar with ham or fudge...though I wouldn't mind trying out those types of food later on..."Mandie said, as she held on to her sides and tried to quiet down her laughter.
"Yeah, I'll see what I can do..."Danny said until their laughs calmed down.
The couple continued watching the sea creatures and chatting... until something catches the alien girl's attention and not in the most pleasant of reasons
Mandie noticed an octopus in a nearby tank and was reminded of her ex-husband.
"Mark!..."Mandie grumbled, trying not to think about anything that would spoil this nice date with the one whom she's determined to make her next husband.
"Did you say something?..."Danny asked.
"It's nothing important. Now, do they have any Earth cuisine available here?..."Mandie asked, wanting to take her mind off the eight legged creature that reminded her of someone who ruined her old life.
"I just really hope that this universe doesn't have it's own version of Yugopotamians..."She thought, not knowing how she'd react to them.
Before Danny could answer her, someone called out his name.
"Danny?..."Was heard.
Danny turned around and saw that it was Valerie and for some reason, she was wearing some kind of work uniform. She was also behind the counter for a smoothie bar that was not doing so well at the moment.
"Val? What are doing here?..."Danny asked.
Val sighed.
"This is my weekend job. I just got hired last week and I need the cash to save for college..."She said, explaining why she is here.
"Oh, I see..."Danny said, while his girlfriend frowned for some reason.
"Darling, who is this?..."Mandie asked.
"Mandy, this is...a friend of mine, Valerie. Val, this is Mandy..."Danny said.
Mandie frowned, having noticed how he paused when he referred to this female as a friend, while Valerie seemed surprised at the sight of the girl that was holding Danny's hand right now.
"So, this is her. I didn't expect him to date someone with hair like this, but it's not like I have any right to tell him who we can and can't date. Not like I was actually his girlfriend..."Val thought, before accepting it.
She has already let Danny go and she knew that eventually, he'd start dating someone else. She had expected it to be Sam, but it seems the goth girl stubbornly hasn't made any move yet and this girl is clearly into the dark haired boy.
Valerie still decided to be nice before speaking to her.
"It's nice to meet you, Mandy..."Val said, trying to be nice.
"Likewise..."Mandie said, trying to be polite but on the inside, she got suspicious.
"Why is she acting so FAMILIAR with MY darling?..."She thought, trying to control her emotions.
It was tough given her Boudacian nature and her own temper, but she pushed through and managed to keep up her civil appearance.
For now.
Danny didn't sense any tension as he held out his wallet. Valerie could guess why they were here.
"So, you guys want any smoothies?..."Val asked, since she was technically on the clock right now. "We're having a special on "Lemony sea breeze". It's like an extra fruity lemonade and kiwi..."She offered.
Danny and Mandie turned to each other and nodded.
"Okay, Val, but I'll have the blue-berry and raspberry smoothie, with extra kiwi and berry..."Danny said.
Mandie kept staring at Valerie and thinking of ways to make it clear her beloved off limits but brought back to new Earth by Danny reminding her to behave. She snapped out of it.
"Very well, I guess I can try one of these smoothies. I'll have the same as Danny..."Mandie said, as she decided to put those thoughts of hers on the back burner for now.
"Coming right up..."Val said as she began making the smoothies, almost like a pro.
Soon, they were given their purchases, which Danny paid for.
After Danny and Mandie made their purchases, the ghost boy waved good bye to Val, who went back to work.
All the while, Mandie still felt jealous and suspicious.
She decided to gently probe some information out of her boyfriend...and by that, she just inched closer and asked.
"Darling...I apologize if I am coming off as defensive, but what exactly is your relationship with that female?..."Mandie asked, trying to control her jealous and not come off as overly controlling.
Danny sighed, as he decided to just come clean.
"Well, Valerie is kinda...sorta...my ex-girlfriend...almost anyway..."Danny said, frowning as he still recall how they broke up.
Mandie felt a spike of jealousy and her eyes were almost seeing red at that moment, which she tried to control and act normal.
"Oh, is that so?..."She asked, her fists clenching and trying to force a smile to hide how she was really feeling right now.
"You don't need to feel jealous or anything. We broke up months ago, and she was the one who dumped me..."Danny said, as he still felt kinda sore about that, though he has moved on.
Hearing that made Mandie drop her bitter expression.
"Wait...really?..."She asked, looking surprised and even apologetic.
"Yeah, it's...complicated. I promise that I'll explain the full story to you some other time, just not right now. For now though, let's just continue..."Danny said, not wanting to talk more about it.
"Darling...something happened. What was it?..."Mandie asked, knowing that more had happened between them.
Danny knew that she was curious, so he sighed and just gave in.
"Well...it's like this..."He said as he began to briefly explain his history with Valerie, including mentioning her ghost hunting and what lead to it, all then way up to him trying to ask her to go steady with him and being rejected before he even had a chance to do so.
As he finished, he kept looking serious.
"And before I could ask her out, she pretty much broke up with me...ironically, because she thought she was protecting me from ghosts...can you believe that? However, that was months ago and I've moved on, but it still wasn't fun when it happened..."He admitted, finishing his tale.
Once he was done, his girlfriend seemed stunned.
"I'm sorry, Darling. I'm still processing this. She hunted you, nearly killed you in battle and you still went out with her. Is that right?..."Mandie said, looking stunned and curious of what the full story was like.
Her boyfriend just shrugged his shoulders with a somber expression. However, he did now sport a more amused expression too.
"To be fair, you hunted me and nearly kill me a few times too. The biggest difference is that I didn't accidentally ruin your life and that you didn't have a secret identity to hide behind, ya know..."Danny reminded.
Mandie knew that he had a point, but continued to state her case.
"Oh, please. You know that I wasn't ACTUALLY trying to kill you. I just wanted to test you and make sure that you were worthy of me, as per Boudacian traditions. Plus, your face is too cute to crush under my boots..."She said in a sweet sounding tone, smiling as she did so.
Danny chuckled upon hearing that.
"Well, lucky me..."He said, trying lighten the mood with his dry humor
"Yeah..."Mandie said, giggling
The two teens then continued their aquarium date, having fun.
Later
Danny and Mandie soon went to the jellyfish room to gaze at the school of jellyfish that was swimming in the tank. The teenage couple was astonished by the glowing colors of otherworldly-like sea creatures.
"Truly Glorious. These creatures remind me of the poisonous flying flock of Rawonams from the Andromeda system, only far less deadly..."Mandie admitted, making Danny wonder what these creatures were and where he could see them.
"Well, they're definitely pretty to look at, but best not touch them. Jellyfish can shock you if you touch them and it hurts a lot..."Danny said.
"That reminds me of the mythical creature that devours similar creatures like these jellyfish from my universe, the Flerken. I'm not sure if they exist in this one, but they say that seeing them signifies death and despair. Even we Bouacians leave them be..."Mandie said, as she tried to remember the times her species agitated such creatures.
"Man, I guess no matter where you go, the universe can always get ya one way or another..."Danny said, blowing out air in nervousness.
"I guess so..."Mandie said as her boyfriend escorted her to another part of the exhibit, holding her hand tightly.
However, their fun time was cut short when someone stuck their foot out and made Danny trip.
"Oof!..."Danny let out upon falling.
"Darling!..."Mandie exclaimed in worry.
"Oh look, someone let the ugly ones out of their tanks..."An obnoxious voice was heard.
Danny looked up and saw that it was Dash, with his fellow jocks, Dale and Kwan.
Mandie saw what he did and got furious.
"Not you again!..."She shouted, mad enough that her hair would turn to fire if she was in her regular form.
Dash saw her and shuddered as he was remembering how Mandie had taught him his place previously. However, the jock never cared about lessons when hot girls were involved, and Mandie was too hot for his brain to work right.
"You…"He tried, but Mandie just grabbed him by the collar and pushed him back to make him hit the wall, shocking the other jocks by her display of strength but the alien girl ignored them.
"I told you to leave us be, last time..."Mandie said, irritated.
Dash rubbed his head and growled, while his friends got nervous now.
"Dash, that who I think it is?!..."Kwan asked as Dale rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
"I heard the rumors and I thought it wasn't true but...is this the girl who destroyed you?!..."Dale said but his jock buddy snarled at him in anger.
Despite his attempts to hide it, there had been a rumors going on that he got his butt kicked by a girl...one he denied and kept denying.
"Shut up, it wasn't THAT bad and she got lucky..."Dash said, being too proud to admit defeat.
"Believe me, the only lucky one is you for not losing your legs. Now leave before I show your underlings what I did to you last time..."Mandie warned.
Dash did not care as he looked over Mandie, similar to Brutis. In Boudica, to not recall when you were beaten was a so of stupidity, unworthy of a warning if such actions were repeated.
Dash refused to obey her and kept pestering her.
"Come on, Babe. I know that you're nuts but you're still hot enough to hang with us. Ditch the lanky loser. Go for me..."He said, still too stupid to give up.
He even had the nerve to go to her again...big mistake.
Mandie followed her instincts and pushed the boy back, knocking his friends over. It was not an attack, but the bully was not welcomed in the girl's space.
"Last I checked, such weaklings were not worth my time..."Mandie helped Danny up. "You should know your place..."She said.
"Awesome..."Danny whispered, loving seeing this and he did nothing as his girlfriend kept dealing with these annoying jocks.
"I'm king of Casper High!..."Dash yelled.
"A false king is less worth my time..."Mandie said, looking down on him.
Dash growled at that.
"You're gonna regret saying that to me!..."He shouted as his face turned red from anger.
"Unlikely, the only thing I regret is listening to your idiotic yammering..."Mandie scoffed, angering him even more.
"Don't make me forget how hot you are!..."Dash snapped, as he threw down his sport jacket, storming over as he snarled.
A glance over his shoulder ordered Kwan and Dale to back him up as they walked up to Danny and Mandie. The leader reeled back a punch when it was caught a by security guard.
"Alright, you punks, stop it, or I do have to get tough here?..."The security guard said.
"But this crazy chick started it, she threatened us, so we're making things fair..."Dash complained, pointing towards the couple.
The security guard looked at the jocks and then at Mandie and saw how...outnumbered she was compared to the jocks.
"You expect me to believe that this one young girl in her dress can take all three of you at once? Can you at least try and come up with a more believable excuse?..."The guard questioned, not believing them.
Mandie growled at security's remarks, taking a step forward only for Danny to stop her. His face told her to stand down. While she did not the implication that someone thought she was weak, she did as so and stood beside the ghost boy.
"I think you three need to leave the premise. Fighting is not allowed here..."The guard pointed to the exit, his glare frightened the jocks into submission.
Dash and the other jocks ran away from the security guard, clearly not wanting any more trouble.
"Glad that's over..."Danny said.
"Yes, anymore and I might have been tempted to show those oaf how Boudacian acupuncture can be used to destroy the nerve system..."Mandie said, imagining the boys in pretzel shapes.
"Remember what I said about violence, even in defense..."Danny said.
"I know...but admit it, that thought had crossed your mind at least once, did it not?..."She asked.
Danny thought about it and sighed.
"True, but you know the rules. And besides, there's nothing to win by beating them..."He said.
"Other than making them leave us alone and avenging your honor..."Mandie pointed out.
Danny sighed.
"Maybe, but come on...you know that they never stood a chance against you..."He pointed out.
"True, but on Boudacia. If you challenge someone to a battle and lose pitifully, you only have yourself to blame for your own weakness..."Mandie said. "And that boy is very, VERY pitiful...both in terms of strength and intelligence..."She said.
"True, if you saw his grades...you'd really believe that..."Danny said, while his girlfriend giggled.
"Let's not talk about that fool and his minions..."Mandie said as she grabbed Danny's arm. "I'd rather focus a more...capable foe..."She said, sending her boyfriend flirty looks.
"Good, but I don't think we'll need to do anything to Dash and the others like that...at least not today..."Danny said.
"So be it..."Mandie said, slightly disappointed she couldn't hurt them.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!..."An angry voice was heard.
The couple turned around and saw that it was Sam, hiding in the shadows with Tucker by her side.
"Sam, no!..."Tucker groaned, hating that their cover was blown.
"You again?!..."Mandie said, sounding angry.
"Sam? Tuck? What are you guys doing here?! Were you spying on us again?!..."Danny demanded.
"She made me do it!..."Tucker said as he pointed to Sam.
"So what if I did? I knew that this space case was gonna cause trouble and I was right. You just saw what could've happen with Dash!..."Sam said.
"Who are you calling a space case, oh pale one?!..."Mandie said, sounding furious.
Sam growled, almost taking "pale one" as a compliment, but anything from Mandie was imagined as empty lies. Tucker just shook his head, wondering when his friend would get a grip. He felt as if he had been doing this forever.
"You! And you should watch how you act!..."Sam snapped, as she pointed at Mandie.
"We both know that oaf deserves whatever comes to him. I did nothing wrong..."Mandie said, being stubborn.
"Says the space case who fights for her own twisted pleasure. You could've killed Dash for all I know!..."Sam pointed, looking as mad as a wild bull.
"You would rather that brute manhandle Danny and possibly injure him?..." Maddie questioned, bringing up an important topic.
Sam was about snap, but realized her wording would need to not make it seem she wanted that.
"Well... no..." The goth said. "But that doesn't mean that you should resort to violence just to stop him from bugging you or Danny..."She tried.
"Oh, so are you saying that he should just stand there and let that brute assault him or degrade him in some childish humiliation in public? Is that what you are saying?..."Mandie said, making a fair argument against the goth girl.
"No...but...well...Dash is a lot weaker that you guys are and it's not fair to abuse your strength when he clearly stands no chance, physically or mentally..."Sam said, trying to get through to the alien tyrant through her own personal opinions.
Mandie, however, thought what she said was hogwash and rolled her eyes.
"Weak or not, he has no right to claim himself as the better warrior without any proof of deserving that title or actually proving himself first, and it was plainly clear that he had neither of them to begin with..."Mandie said, making her case clear as day.
"It's also clear you are a danger to everyone on this planet!..."Sam snapped.
"That oaf threatened us, and I was defending myself and my beloved from a fool who was too ignorant to see he was destined to lose. On my planet, if you challenge someone much more powerful than you and lose, you only have yourself to blame for that..."Mandie said.
"We're not on your planet and it's not right to use violence to solve your problems..."Sam insisted.
"You weren't against it when Danny fights those ghosts who come to terrorize this town..."Mandie pointed out.
"That's different...they are actually threats!..."Sam said.
"And you think an overgrown, musclebound brute with a short temper who gets his jollies from hurting those he deems weaker than him isn't a threat to others?!..."Mandie asked incredulously. "I already showed more than enough restraint to that fool who is weaker than me...even though we both know he would never show any restraint to another, especially those he deems weaker than him..."Mandie pointed out.
"She...kinda has a point, Sam..."Tucker admitted, since Dash wasn't above bullying those who don't stand a chance against him.
Sam glared at him. Mandie, however, spoke up and got to the point.
"Listen here, pale one. I have chosen Danny as my mate... and so long as he lives and is by my side, none shall harm him. He may show restraint and compassion to others even the ones who aren't deserving of it...but I'm not like that..."Mandie said, looking strict but some could argue that she was being over-protective.
Sam didn't like how she was talking down to her and remained stubborn.
"Don't make pull out a blaster on you!..."Sam snapped, ready to reach into her bag.
"Settle down you two..."Danny said as he got between them.
Danny sent a glare at his gothic friend, not happy with her attitude.
"Sam, not cool. I know that maybe fighting Dash is a bit much but it's not like Mandie did a lot of damage, she just hurt his pride more than anything..."Danny pointed out, before glaring at the goth girl. "Besides, I already told you that it's not cool that you spied on us, and here you go doing that again? Are you kidding me?!..."Danny said.
"But Danny..."Sam tried to argue.
"Not buts. I'm serious. I don't need you to "watch over me" while I'm with my own girlfriend. Me and Mandie are gonna go back to our date and I do NOT want you guys spying on us. We'll talk about this incident later. Now you don't have to go home, but get out of here..."Danny said, sounding stern.
Sam looked furious as her entire face turned red in anger.
"I can't believe you're siding with her than with us!..."Sam said, stomping her foot.
"I'm not taking sides. I'm trying to enjoy a date..."Danny said, looking stubborn before turning to his alien girlfriend.
"Come on, Mandie. Let's go. We still got a few hours left before curfew..."Danny said.
"Coming, Darling..."Mandie said, ready to leave with him.
She then sent another glare at Sam and did the "I'm watching you" gesture.
"Back off, or you'll regret it..."She whispered in a warning way, making it clear that she will not tolerate any more of this.
Mandie soon grabbed Danny by the arm and they soon left the aquarium, leaving Sam and Tucker behind.
"I can't believe this! Just how much has she brainwashed him by now?!..."Sam said, sounding livid.
"Sam, chill out..."Tucker said, since she was getting attention from the other patrons right now.
"Shut up, you chill out!..."Sam snapped, getting angrier and even hit a nearby plastic replica of a shark...only to regret it when she ended up leaving a big dent in it and made it fall to the ground, breaking it even more.
"Oops..."Sam let out.
She regretted it even more, since it got the attention of the staff.
"NO YELLING IN THE AQUARIUM OR DAMAGING PROPERTY!..."One of the workers there said, as a guard came to deal with them.
Sam saw this and cursed under her breath, wondering how her luck can get any worse.
Outside
"I can't believe them. I mean, I know that Sam still didn't approve of us but this is ridiculous!..."Danny said, looking upset that she spied on them again.
"Very..."Mandie said, holding onto his arms and trying to look collected
On the inside, however, she was fuming but didn't dare speak it.
"That pale one certainly has a lot of nerve, but she is no threat to me. I am the one Danny is dating and she can't take him away from me..."Mandie thought, though a part of her still felt threatened.
She just had to ask him.
"Darling...are you sure that...Sam...are you sure that you both are JUST friends? You both...never...had been more than that...right?..."She asked, trying not to sound jealous.
Danny heard this and just groaned.
"Why does everyone think that?..."He asked, sounding irritated before he answered her.
"No, Sam and I have never been a couple. She's just been my best friend since kindergarten but for whatever reason, people tease us about being love birds, which is really annoying..."He said, sounding bitter.
"Is that so?..."Mandie asked, and he nodded.
"Yeah, but we're just friends and as for what happened...look...Sam is just being really stubborn and overprotective but you don't have to worry. I'm dating you and I'm sure that in time, she's come around and see that you mean us no harm..."He said, being too optimistic for his own good right now.
Mandie wasn't too sure but decided to trust his word.
"Well, as long as HE has no interest in her...I guess that I have nothing to worry about...but that pale girl better back off soon before I FORGET my promise to Danny..."She thought, sounding irritated.
"Come on, let me get you a soda. On me..."Danny said.
Mandie smiled upon hearing that.
"Lovely, thank you..."She said, just happy he is still with her.
The two unusual teens continued their date, both trying to enjoy the moment and trying hard not to think about certain pests whom seem to have nothing better to do than bug them.
Oh boy.
