From behind, 'Berserker' was certain she heard something occurring with her Master, but whatever it was, it would have to wait.
It wasn't easy trying to sneak towards a dragon. One wrong move and they would know where she was and either fly off or attack with extreme prejudice. With their power, the trees that hid her from their sight would be easily torn down from their strength.
Assuming of course the dragon couldn't just smell her. Though the fact that 'Berserker' wasn't assaulted by another energy-beam hints that perhaps the blue dragon couldn't smell her. It wasn't surprising, as not all dragons were equal. The blue dragon was undoubtedly powerful, from the few times 'Berserker' witnessed its might, but it didn't mean it had the ability to smell from miles away.
With each step proving this small fact as she got deeper towards where she knew the dragon was. Although, it may not just be the dragon either. There was the girl that was always with it, the same girl she saw at the park with those two men.
'Likely the dragon is a summon. Meaning if she goes, the dragon may possibly go as well.' While 'Berserker' is still new to being a Servant, she's at least picked up on some of the knowledge the Grail had given her. Informing her that all things connected to a Servant required mana just to exist.
Not just the Servant themselves, but weapons, armor, anything that they materialized also needed mana. It was why it's suggested a Servant should kill a Master, since killing them is the easiest method that ensured a Servant and anything they had on them vanished from this world.
'And all dragons deserve to vanish.' Their existence is akin to suffering. While the current her may not be as zealous in using any method possible to kill a dragon, including civilians, the current 'Berserker' had no problem in using the female Servant as a potential hostage.
As a true Berserker, she'd have likely just killed the Servant and be done with it. Not even because their Berserker-self would have connected the dots that without the Servant the dragon would go. She'd kill the girl simply because she was in the way.
Which would be dangerous and troublesome in the long run. Even though 'Berserker' could never conceive the idea of anybody getting along with a dragon, as it felt no different from trying to befriend a serial killer, even she could tell the Servant cherished her dragon. With the dragon feeling the same.
Chances were that if she killed the Servant, while it'd ensure the dragon would vanish eventually, it'd go absolutely berserk and go on a complete rampage from the Servant's death. Dragons who ran amok were much more dangerous, becoming more unpredictable. As such, it'd be better if 'Berserker' simply captured the girl, no matter how infuriating it was she would have to hold someone that cherished monsters close to herself.
At the same time as 'Berserker' slowly got closer, deeper in the forest Archer slowly patted Blue-Eyes and observed the wound on her other-half.
"Oh, dear." It was already healing, but it would take time for Blue-Eyes to fully recover and take flight. Whoever did this was a truly good shot, having managed to target Blue-Eyes from miles up in the sky without any problem, and resulting in them and their Masters falling onto the ground. They fell from so high up that if Blue-Eyes hadn't managed to steady her wings and slow down their descent, painful as it was for her with the wound she had gained, they may have perished.
Still, even though they had survived, Tokiomi was outright shaken by the fall. Archer could tell Blue-Eyes wasn't in good condition despite appearances either.
All across Blue-Eyes' right side, her wonderful scales showed damage as they appeared cracked. Done from landing so roughly on her side. The way Blue-Eyes also winced when moving her injured wing also didn't seem any better. Blue-Eyes also moved just a bit slower, having landed so hard on her legs that it's possible she'd sprained both her ankles.
Patting her other-half gently on the face, Archer internally praised Blue-Eyes for putting the effort in protecting her and Tokiomi. But outward, Archer knew she couldn't just stand around. "Blue-Eyes, can you tell if anybody is here?"
Master had already left, claiming he needed time to adjust from the fall. She couldn't blame him as even she felt shaken up by the fall, and she was a Servant. Yet that didn't mean they were safe seeing as someone deliberately caused the three to crash, and were likely coming their way to make sure they were dealt with for good.
They needed to prepare for the enemy's arrival, unless they were already here in the forest with them.
Which is why Archer hoped Blue-Eyes could tell if anybody was nearby. Informing her if she needed Tokiomi back here rather than away from her side and targeted. Sadly, it seems it wasn't just Blue-Eyes' body that had been shaken, but also her mind.
Blue-Eyes gave small mewling growls as she shook her head back and forth. Unable to use her normally advanced senses such as hearing or smelling to their fullest. Needing just a bit more time before she could use her natural gifts without problem.
Unfortunately, the problem was soon coming right at them.
Blue-Eyes, suddenly looking startled, immediately opened its mouth and unleashed a beam of pure energy and launched it without a moment's waste. Archer nearly fell back from the immediate attack, causing Archer to realize one thing.
'The enemy is here!' The beams soon settled, dissipating, but Blue-Eyes didn't let its guard down one bit. Archer must do the same.
Looking around her, with Blue-Eyes behind her, all Archer could do was simply look around for anything suspicious. Something that could indicate if the enemy is already here or perhaps already killed. Because if they are here, then it won't take long for the enemy to retaliate from Blue Eyes attack.
So Archer did her best, focusing on anything that moved with Blue-Eyes doing the same. Her eyes keen on spotting even the slightest chance that an attack would come from either the trees, or the sky. For just a bit, all was quiet, nothing was happening.
Blue-Eyes then shot her head up and through their bond Archer did the same.
"Hrrr." With clenched teeth none other than 'Berserker' had come, appearing in the sky. She looked different from before, the terrifying aura surrounded by that dreadful smell of dragon blood no longer around her. Not that it prevented 'Berserker' from getting both the drop on the two girls, but also heading straight for Archer.
She must have jumped as high as she could and adjusted her landing so that she would land right where Archer was at. The blue-eyed maiden yelped as she knew that while the two may be Servants, 'Berserker' was still a warrior no matter how she looked. Archer was not.
Raising her hands, the connection between her and Blue-Eyes strengthened just as 'Berserker' had just about been ready to land atop of Archer and easily knock her out with the flat of her blade. The weapon, while nowhere near as sinister appearing as before, swung down with enough force that even a Servant's skull would crack from a direct hit.
A thin blue-barrier appeared to defend Archer at the last moment. Using the bond she shared with Blue-Eyes, Archer had borrowed some of her other-half's magical energy and used it to mock a defense and protect herself.
The blade clashed against the barrier, remaining sturdy and unyielding from 'Berserker's' great strength. With a flash the barrier then pulsated and launched 'Berserker' away from Archer.
Laning on her feet and adjusting her stance, the forcibly turned Saber growled, frustrated that she had failed in taking Archer hostage. Made worse when she saw the dragon, looking at her with a sharp angry gaze, opened its maw which sparked a blue light.
With a click of her tongue, 'Berserker' ran as quickly as she could. Even then she knew it wouldn't be enough as everything soon became tinged in blue light as a human-sized energy beam escaped Blue-Eyes' mouth and launched itself with destructive results.
Where 'Berserker' had been, everything in the white lightnings' path was now reduced to atoms as trees, grass, and anything else outright vanished before the raw power from a dragon. As if that wasn't bad enough, that mangy dragon began turning its head and the blue beam began following 'Berserker'. The path she had run on scorched while everything else in the way was also reduced into the same state as all else that met with such disastrous power.
Still, the dragon couldn't keep the beam up forever. Growing smaller and less brighter, the beam soon vanished leaving only the angry dragon. Taking her chance, the dragon-slayer found herself running at it.
The dragon attempted to move itself, but 'Berserker' noticed that it wasn't moving as fast as before. Damage from the fall most likely. She could take advantage of that.
As the beast stepped forward, it raised its wings and screeched as it then stretched its neck in an attempt to snatch her up in its jaws. As she saw the glistening teeth coming for her, 'Berserker' paused and held her ground instead of avoiding. She then readied her sword.
"!" To her spite, it seemed the dragon noticed her trick. Its eyes showed understanding and just as she was prepared to jab the sword into the dragon's upper cavity of the hard palate, the head swerved and she missed.
Her eyes met its own and the blue dragon retracted its neck and head before it turned around and lifted its tail. It fell with 'Berserker' avoiding it just as the ground cracked beneath its weight. It then moved away in the dragon's attempt to smash it against her, not that it would as 'Berserker' leapt over it and spotted Archer.
The sound of electricity silenced any thought of grabbing her as she turned and saw the dragon once more preparing to fire its deadly beam. Clicking her tongue, 'Berserker' adjusted herself just as the beam fired.
The explosion could be heard all the way here, and the way the ground shook indicated that Archer and her dragon were indeed fighting someone.
'I suppose Kariya isn't entirely devoid of strategy.' Tokiomi thought as he saw a disgusting sorry-excuse of a familiar coming right at him.
"Platzen." The mockery of a fly burst into flames upon impact against his flame attack. However, that one was just a distraction. Three more came from behind with stingers the size of fingers. He wouldn't get off with a swollen bump.
So he wouldn't.
"Skraa." Chittering, the three insects died as they slammed against a barrier from behind. Tired and weak as he felt, Tokiomi wouldn't fall against lesser familiars. A magus of his standing should have the will and capacity to defend themselves, no matter their condition.
That, and it would be a mockery if he fell in battle against one who abandoned their duties and threatened the secrecy of magecraft.
"Err. Tokiomi!" While Kariya still looked confident, Tokiomi could tell the man appeared agitated seeing his opponent still standing. "Raa!" He dramatically swung his finger at Tokiomi and then came another swarm of familiars seeking to take his life.
On the ground those that could only crawl followed. While it hurt, Tokiomi leveled his staff with the gem tipped at the top and swung it in front of him. A stream of flames came out of the tip and formed a half-arc that burst into a fire, warding away the bugs that crawled.
He then aimed the staff behind him, hearing the flapping of insect wings, ignoring the way his shoulder ached and said, "Luftverfall."
The insects dropped like oversized flies. Tokiomi may have a greater affinity for flame magecraft, but that didn't mean he couldn't use a few other spells. As the insects died from a lack of oxygen, Tokiomi slammed his staff and said quietly, "Bewegungs Unterdrückung."
Those in the sky found their wings unable to flap. They then fell onto the ground and twitched upon impact. They still lived, but it wouldn't be for long. Flames found them first and licked at their bodies before consuming them whole. Screeching at their own demise.
He then looked at Kariya, and in his own attempt at physiological warfare, Tokiomi asked him in disinterest, "Is that all?"
"Y-You!" Spittle fell from his lips as that confident expression fell and warped into a struggle that failed in understanding how Tokiomi still stood. His very body twitched and Tokiomi noticed how Kariya's eyes bulged out, as if they would fall from their very own sockets.
Tokiomi may be weak, but that didn't mean Kariya was suddenly stronger. A drop-out who's body looked no better than a homeless person could never overcome him. Not in wits, strength, and certainly not in a battle of magecraft.
"Give up." Tokiomi said coldly, having no sympathy for someone who just recently boasted that they were involved with the attack in Fuyuki. He walked towards him, despite knowing there were still a few insects around.
Kariya thought he had a chance.
"Get him!"
He didn't.
"Give up and tell me," With a swing of his staff, fire appeared and burnt down Kariyas remaining insects, leaving a terrible charred smell. Tokiomi didn't even bother looking at their remains. "What knowledge do you have?" Even if Kariya didn't come up with the plan that all but showed magecraft being used, he knew who the mastermind behind it all was. Someone who went against what all magus did for their own selfish goals.
Someone who just may have been the one he trusted alongside Risei as an ally. Or perhaps it was that woman…
"Ughhhhh." The veins across Kariya's face looked as if they would tear themselves apart the way they pulsed and twitched. The only reason Tokiomi didn't kill someone as disgraceful as him is because he had to know the truth. Only then would Tokiomi give him his death.
With the way Kariya's condition is, it might actually be a mercy.
"Damn you…damn you…!" Even so, it seemed Kariya refused to give up. Deluding himself that he could still win as blood burst across his body and the worms within taking their time chewing on his flesh. "Bastard! I won't lose to someone who sold their own daughter!"
"Sold?" There was an edge in Tokiomi's voice. Much more than he'd previously spoken about.
The stress from these last few days. The losses that occurred. Knowing that he'd be held accountable for the attack on Fuyuki by the Association, all this had been piling up bit by bit on Tokiomi's mind.
As such, in a rare moment of anger, Tokiomi briefly let go of the idea that magus should always hold themselves elegantly.
His staff was lifted and he struck Kariya across the face with it, knocking him to the ground.
Blood dribbled down Kariya's mouth while a bruise formed on the man's temple. Lying on the ground, Tokiomi stood before him impassively, taking no sadistic pleasure in seeing Kariya like this, but he also felt no pity. Feeling only disgust that even in an emergency like this, Kariya prattled on about things that weren't important.
Replying back coldly, "Is this your excuse for attacking me? Did you not join the ritual for a chance at victory for the Matous? Or did you just come here simply to ask such a ridiculous question?"
The only answer Tokiomi received was Kariya spitting a wad of blood near his shoe while shaking. It was becoming a waste of time now. He needed his answers now, not wanting to entertain Kariya and whatever imbecility he possessed.
So, he got straight to the point. "Answer me," At the same time, he leveled the gem on his staff near Kariya's face which lit a small flame, aimed right near Kariya's head. "Who are you working with?"
Kariya turned, and rather than seem bothered by the small flame that could easily enlarge and consume him, he just scowled. "You…Still thinking this war is more important than your own daughter? Is that it?" Kariya spat out, "What would Aoi think?"
It would have been easy to kill him just now. Enlarge the flame and cremenate his body, then leave it for the wolves and hounds. But once more, that rare anger found a perch in Tokiomi and he acted on it. Shoving the flame-tipped fire right into Kariya's right cheek.
"Gahhhhuu!?" Kariya pulled back and grabbed his burnt cheek, where his flesh was blackened and hissed further when his dirty hands grazed the wound.
"I'm not fooling around, Kariya. Tell me who you're working with. Now." As Tokiomi said before, death would be a mercy. With everything going on, Tokiomi didn't feel like giving mercy as a reward.
"Fuck you!" Kariya got out, even with that wound. He shifted and turned before sitting up, hands supporting him from behind and breathing heavily. Knowing he was beat but continued to act as if he still had a chance. Angrily glaring as if that would be enough to kill Tokiomi with a simple look.
"I…I won't lose…to so-someone who sells their own daughter!" While it stung, briefly feeling a sharp pain no different from being stabbed in the leg, Tokiomi lifted his reinforced foot and stomped it onto Kariya's left leg.
The bone snapped and Kariya cried out.
'This is getting nowhere.' The anger was slipping and replaced with mere irritation.
Bothersome enough that Kariya was part of this entire situation, now he's just throwing baseless accusations as if they meant something. Selling Sakura? As if Tokiomi would ever do such a barbaric act.
Tokiomi may be a magus, but he was also a father. As a father, he only wanted what's best for his children. Give them the chances his own father gave him and let them grow into fine magus. Thanks to Zouken's offer, it wasn't just Rin who had a chance, but Sakura as well. Letting both his daughters gain the chance at a better future and advance further than even him.
'And yet here I am, being accused otherwise. Treated as if I were no different from those who do human trafficking.' Which vexed him greatly.
There was no understanding Kariya Matou.
If anything, communicating with him at this point was just a waste of time.
The man may be a dishonor towards all magus in general, but Tokiomi could see that his eyes, while consumed by anger and foolishness, also held a resolve. A deluded one, but it was a resolve regardless of origin. He wasn't going to give up, and it's likely he wasn't loosening his lips either.
All Kariya cared for was Sakura. A strange and rather disturbing fixation on her, which may include his wife as well. Why else would Kariya constantly bring her up? It was disturbing as equally as it was unnatural.
'And I have no need to learn of it either.' Before, Tokiomi never thought much of Kariya. While he heard from Aoi that Kariya was kind, the few times she met up with him, all Tokiomi felt was disappointment that the man abandoned his duties as a magus. True, him doing so allowed Sakura a path, but the way he simply left his responsibilities left a bad taste in his mouth.
Seeing Kariya now, the way he acted, his constant speaking of Sakura and accusations that he was some form of monster… Tokiomi had no idea what Aoi saw in him. Perhaps it was best she never saw him again either. While she might be a little sad, this would be for the best as well. Best for Sakura.
Even if she was part of another family, Tokiomi still wished Sakura success. Success that could do without Kariya being around. Zouken could take care of her without a problem.
"Well then, it seems this is getting us nowhere." Speaking aloud, Tokiomi raised his staff and aimed it at Kariya's face. "You are of no use to me."
"And you're no use to anybody." Kariya all but screeched. "So blinded by tradition, by values, that you can't even see what's happening in front of you. What's happening to Sakura! Do you even bother visiting her!? Or do you just raise that pretty chin of yours up so you don't see all the dirty things done to her, you monster!"
"...good-bye." Igniting his circuits, Tokiomi solidified his resolve and readied to kill Kariya then and there. The only mercy he had left would be that the flames, while they would be painful, would end Kariya's life in under a minute. Perhaps those final few seconds he wasn't screaming could be used for Kariya to realize his mistakes. Though he doubted Kariya would do anything but curse him until the very end.
The flames ignited and leaped at the chance in touching flesh-
A blue beam came and slammed into the ground just about thirty meters away from them. Even so, the shockwave and the unexpected attack caused Tokiomi to briefly stumble and his spell broken.
Kariya saw his chances.
"Uagh!" Using what little energy he had left he leapt up and tackled Tokiomi onto the ground. His body may be broken, destined for death, but he could still move. Still swing his fists. So what if he had a broken leg? It didn't matter.
"Die you son of a bitch!" Kariya made the first move and slammed his grimy fist against Tokiomi's face. With his other fist, he swung it down and repeated his earlier action. Tokiomi gasped and his right eye settled onto Kariya briefly.
Another smack and all Tokiomi saw was Kariya's fist. Then again. Again. And again.
Kariya swung them down even when his muscles begged that he rest. But he wouldn't. Not just because he wanted Tokiomi to feel every second of the agony he's inflicting onto him, but also because Kariya acknowledged that Tokiomi, much as a bastard he was, is indeed stronger than him.
Weakened. Tired. Even with all that, Tokiomi stood his ground and killed his insects without a problem. The man was missing a hand for crying out loud and he didn't seem perturbed whatsoever at all the insects that came for him.
It infuriated him, but Kariya couldn't help but accept that in a battle of magecraft, Kariya was behind Tokiomi on every level.
But in a fight where no magecraft was involved?
Kariya swung his fist again and pounded on Tokiomi. Ensuring the man had no room to think while slowly, ever slowly, smashing his face in. Feeling Tokiomi's bone break while bruising his eyes. Even as he felt his magic circuits burn and worms greedily chew, he still kept going.
Without giving in, 'Berserker' kept going even as she felt the dragon's claw slice graze through her side.
While it wasn't as strong as the armor she wore as a Berserker, the one she had now was still made out of some of the finest metal her village produced. Easily capable of handling and deflecting anybody that used a sword against her or sudden impact.
"Ugh!" She felt some of her flesh torn off with the armor going with it. It hurt, but nothing that would impede her. Biting back her tongue, 'Berserker' raised her blade and brought it down. The sword slammed right above the monster's wrist and dug through its scales.
"Ruagh!" Yet beyond drawing a bit of blood and hurting it, her sword did little more than infuriate the blue dragon as it lifted its claw with her along with it. Its eyes met hers and it opened its mouth ready at another chance to chow down.
She let go of the blade just as teeth snapped shut. Her weapon dematerializing, she was then about to bring it back, only for the dragon's foot to come down and slam against the dirt, making her stumble. She then saw it lift its leg and kick her with enough force that a modern-day car would be sent flying and destroyed.
In 'Berserkers' case, she flew while her armor cracked and shattered from the torso down. Skidding across the ground, her head bumped into a tree and she stopped. She tried bringing herself up, only for the dragon's foot to appear once more and entered her sight. This time however, it was brought down onto her.
"Augh!" With enough wait that even the sturdiest of trees would shatter, the pressure 'Berserker' felt was enough that her body felt it would pop.
Just two minutes. She fought the dragon for two minutes and 'Berserker' made a painful conclusion.
She was outclassed.
Strength. Durability. Power.
It surpassed her in all aspects. It wasn't a surprise, a dragon, even a lowly one, is a dragon. This one being in the upper-echelons with the intelligence to use its power properly.
She didn't know whether to cry or scream in rage.
Once more she was facing something that made her feel weak. The same feeling she felt when she returned from her journey from gathering dragon horns where she then…
Above the village, countless dragons, minor ones, stomped the buildings and unleashed their breath on those running.
Those not burning alive, screaming, were devoured whole as she watched a great distance away.
Heavily panting, 'Berserker' felt desolation and a burning temper inside her. It wanted out. It wanted to be released and swallow the dragon before her.
She felt her Saint Graph twitch.
"Enough." She then heard a voice. Calm. Serene. Almost like a mother.
The dragon, the filthy thing, seemed reluctant but obeyed. The pressure she felt lessened, only a little, while it still kept an eye on her. But now she could breathe.
Archer came and looked at her with…pity?
She felt her Saint Graph twitch again.
"You can't stop her." Archer proclaimed, while acting as if the dragon was a person. "You're strong, much stronger than most would-be dragon slayers…but the current you can't stop her."
As if compliments would stop 'Berserker' from continuing her duty. Nor suggestions that she can't win. She can still win. She can still kill it.
'Kill her.' Came the thought as 'Berserker's' eyes hazed just a bit.
As for Archer, she swallowed and looked at 'Berserker', seeing the hidden rage inside her eyes. With a madness found deeper inside. "I…do not know why you're like this. I imagine you have your reasons, of course,"
'Reasons…'
A dragon bigger than a house stepped before some children. They weren't even fit for a meal, let alone a threat.
They were eaten.
"And I'm aware that not all dragons are benign towards humans." It saddened Archer to admit it, but she knew the truth. About dragons and their temperaments. "But…that sword I saw." Archer shivered. "You…you killed more than you should, didn't you."
A dragon with lustrous scales had made its home in a village. Or what was left of it. It had been there for months, seemingly content staying here. Travelers claimed it hadn't bothered anybody.
But it could.
Her sword was drawn before she knew it.
"Even if you had no choice but to kill a dragon, for self-defense or protection," The horrid aura Archer felt still remained in her mind. Not just the sword, but the armor and 'Berserker's armor made her flinch just at the sight.
"How many were killed simply because you merely saw them?"
Another dead, just like the last. It was…she forgot the number, to be honest, but she continued her mission regardless.
With another step forward, with blood on her armor which seemingly drank it alongside her blade, she walked towards a nearby cave. As it rained, unable to feel the cold water, she saw a nearby village, briefly pausing.
She then turned away, as she was told to leave when she visited earlier. They said something about…dragons. About her? She forgot already. But it didn't matter. Tomorrow she'll hunt for the dragon spotted here. Maybe bringing its head will change the villagers mind and they would let her in.
It was at this point Archer felt something stir in 'Berserker'. Taking a step back, she could actually smell it. The blood of dragons returned with an awful stench that made even Blue-Eyes flinch at such a smell.
'But it's been gone all this time.' It's been gone since the battle with that demonic creature. So why…
Up until now, all Archer wanted to know was why 'Berserker' was so determined to kill dragons. Even if it was a fool's quest, a part of her could see it. Not just the rage and anger that 'berserker' always showed, or even the echoes of the vengeful cries that the armor and sword gave out whenever she saw it.
Instead, Archer also saw a great sorrow in 'Berserker'. Like she wanted to belong.
As such, all Archer wanted was to see if maybe, just maybe, she could find some ways to put 'Berserker' at ease.
"Uhhhh." 'Berserker's' helmet began to warp. Rippling and bending, with the stench of dragon blood growing stronger. Including the mana inside her.
"Gruagh!" Blue-Eyes made a decision in that instant. While it didn't wish to disrespect her human-half, the blue dragon could tell that the armored woman was becoming dangerous again.
The seonc the woman arrived in her current form, Blue-Eyes knew the woman was a threat to her human-half. To Blue-Eyes, she wasn't even worth much beyond a nuisance.
Yet for whatever reason now, her power from before was returning again, with that awful smell that lingered on them alongside that sickening blade used as a weapon. Blue-Eyes knew better though. That was no weapon. It was just a travesty full of dragon grudges that affected the sword and armor, that longed for release at the same time but couldn't.
As such, before this woman could become dangerous again, Blue-Eyes roared and lifted her foot and brought it down onto the woman, fully intending to kill her then and there.
"Ah!" Blue-Eyes then saw her human-half cough. Clutching her chest before she looked in a certain direction like she was trying to find something. Immediately afterward, Blue-Eyes felt a drop in mana in her.
"Hah…" With eyes full of haze and maddness, Berserker grinned as she felt 'normal' again. The thoughts from before, the 'rationality' now silenced. Of course, even with Berserker feeling like herself again, the foot still smashed against her at that time. "Got you." Where she didn't look the slightest bothered that the ground beneath her broke apart and had been hit with enough force that a lesser Servant would have died immediately.
Berserker merely continued to smile and lifted Blue-Eyes' foot with ease, her armor returning to its previous state as if it hadn't been shattered with her strength still increasing. Blue-Eyes' eyes widened slightly, as tt was actually a struggle trying to keep the foot down now. Then, both Archer and Blue-Eyes felt the mana around Berserker increased further where Berserker soon heard a voice echoing in her head.
"Berserker. Kill Tokiomi's Servant so we can be done with this farce. It's only fair after all."
"That you get a chance to kill what you hate." Kariya looked down, grinning ear-to-ear. Looking with absolute pride and estacity at the ruined face that once belonged to Tokiomi Tohsaka who ceased moving by this point.
Blood dripped off his fists accompanied with great joy. All was now right.
I'm sure Kariya will now get his happy ending.
Anyway, Tokiomi is gone. If things were different, Kariya wouldn't have even been a threat. Like the anime and manga, Kariya would have been burnt alive by his worms and no more than that. But, with Tokiomi weakened, tired, and Kariya taking advantage of the situation, he struck and kept striking until Tokiomi died.
Oh, and Berserker gets her groove back. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter. And the same for the Yu-Gi-Oh 25th Anniversary video I saw, cause MAN that was awesome. I sincerely hope that Konami makes anime, even small clips, of future Yu-Gi-Oh lore cause it was a blast seeing so many favorite cards in the video. Loved it.
