It had been a year of Justice living in the orphanage. Once teachers told kids that there was going to be a massive event in their orphanage. Very important and rich people were going to come and talk to kids and make some statements about reviving the city. There was going to be a chief of Police and a chief of Fire Department and a gifted surgeon and philanthropist Thomas Wayne and many more important to the city people.

Kids had to sit quiet in the biggest auditorium in the building and listed to honorable men. A lot of press and TV cameras was about to be there as well.

"Basically what they do is using kids as a weapon in this year mayor elections" – wrote down Evan in symbols to Justice one Sunday morning.

"I think they are trying to help the city" – wrote Justice on the sand with a long thin branch.

"No. They won't help the city. They will just use us to get a new mayor elected and then they will forget about us and the city" – answered Evan

"I don't care what they will do. I know I want to help people of our city" – wrote down Justice and left the back yard.

The event was scheduled on Monday afternoon but the local TV reporters arrived to the orphanage early morning. They set up cameras and got some coffee they were waiting. More people with cameras came on the steps of the orphanage by eleven in the morning. Shortly after, important and rich people started to arrive. Big cars, beautiful cars were arriving. Important and rich people walked in the auditorium. Kids were watching them all from their rooms.

Look at them! Rich fucks! – some kid was talking to Evan

Yeh. Ugly asses. Coming in our only home with all this good words and promises! – one more kid joined the conversation

They are all liars! – screamed Evan

A lot of kids supported him. Justice was sitting in the window and looking down on the TV people and new arrivals. Then she saw the TV people started to move faster as they saw somebody coming. A basic taxi cab stopped near the entrance. Camera people and reporters surrounded the cab.

- Oh! Look at him! It's Thomas Wayne, the biggest liar of all! – screamed Evan.

- Oh, man! I wish I would be his child. – said one of the boys.

- Why!? To live in lie all your life? – asked him Evan

- Bro! If I have money like him?! Yeh, I would live in lie all my life.

Evan jumped from the window and walked out from the room.

Oh, well, you going to be the first then. – spoke Evan leaving.

What did he mean "the first"? – the boy asked his friends

Don't pay attention, he is weirdo sometimes. – said one of them.

Justice saw Thomas Wayne leaving the cab and entering the building, the cloud of reporters followed him, some of them stayed outside. It was time when the teacher came and said to follow her. There were some kids who were not allowed in the auditorium because teachers were afraid these kids were going to do some embarrassing stuff. Amongst those kisd was Evan, they took him in the separate room with ten more kids like him and made them do homework or read books.

Justice was sitting far from the stage and couldn't see anything behind people's backs, so she listened. Most of the speeches were definitely staged but then Mr. Wayne walked on the stage. He spoke clear and honest, all words were coming from the heart, listening him was a pleasure.

"Children are the future and we can't build a great future without protecting children, all children, and especially those who are in need, who are alone and scared. We can't build the future based on lies, hate and fear. If it is what in the hearts of our children that will be the future they build. The great future will become the great horror." – this little part of the speech Justice remembered by heart.

When the meeting was over all kids followed teachers upstairs and all reach and powerful people stayed in the auditorium for some conversations and discussions. The good thing was that a local pizza place made a huge order for pizza and it was paid by people who organized the event. Every child got a slice or two of each kind of pizzas.

That's all they gave us… pizza, huh. – Evan never touched a single piece.

Justice also never touched a slice of pizza but just because she didn't like any of them. She set back in the window and stared on the camera people.
