Chapter 62: Path Less Traveled.
Jay, Xao and the knights which included Ketra followed Lord Beltran and his wife who were flanked by their guards across the town to the long house which served as his personal abode once inside the pair headed to the thrones at the head of the meeting chambers while their guards took up positions all around the room, waiting for them was a lone figure who wore the same gear as Ketra which Jay guess marked her as another Blessed Knight or Dream Warrior.
Lord Beltran looked quite tired as he lowered his massive frame into his seat and his wife leaned over and took his hand in hers and squeezed it reassuringly making the large male Beledon look up at her and smile softly at her.
"We had just received some interesting news that we were about to send runners to find you both when the cursed one came hunting you, Ava here who delivered the news alerted us to the danger but it seems that you handled it rather well on your own and I must say human Saviour Jay of the Clan Mason you handled yourself incredibly well I must say, you delivered them a bloody nose that they will not soon forget and I must say that weapon of yours more than proved itself to us and you more than capable in its use a truly magnificent display of strength indeed," Lord Beltran said.
All the while his wife was nodding her large head next to him in complete agreement she was obviously proud of the result that had occurred outside of the temple with Jay being forced to shoot the Nightmare Assassin and his soldiers to protect the town and Ketra, out of which only the Nightmare Assassin was able to escape though not unscathed.
"Thank you Lord Beltran but I was only doing my duty as a Savior of Clan Mason, it is my sworn oath and duty to protect all innocents everywhere and to respond to any threat to their lives with a much force as is required to defend them, the Nightmare Assasin or cursed one as your people call them and his knights chose a cowardly path in attacking your people in the middle of a festival designed to promote life and its joys in celebration of the gifts of the Goddess of life, I have no doubt in my mind that your proud knights and Lady Ketra would have been able to dispatch the cowards but given their obvious advantage in armament given that they were wearing full plate armour against unarmored knights armed only with their swords I decided to show them what a truly unfair advantage really looks like while defending both my friends and the good people of this place," Jay replied in his now perfect Beledon given that his translator seemed to have completed it's analysis of the spoken Beledon language.
Ketra and her knights including Ova all still dressed in their pretty dresses and still covered in their flower boas puffed their chests out with pride at his words and Jay could see both Lord Beltran and Lady Layla nodding approvingly.
"You punch far above your weight little one and you punch bloody well hard when you do, this is a good trait for a warrior to have it shows that you have honour in your soul and will not back down or bend when faced with difficult or impossible odds, this is something I try to instil in all of our proud knights and from what I saw by the line that had set ready to defend our people I am proud to say obviously rubbed off," Layla said.
"Thank you Lady Layla your words do us a great honour," Ketra said saluting the two leaders as did all of her knights and Jay, Xao who was clueless as to what was being said followed suit a moment later as he realised he was the only one not saluting a fact that the ever-observant Lord Beltran did not miss.
"He still does not understand our language as you do does he Saviour Jay?" he said and Jay chuckled softly upon seeing the young Asian man's confusion as to what was happening but also obvious nervousness at being pointed out by the massive Beledon male.
"Unfortunately not my good Lord Beltran, if he were among my people one of our Seekers of Truth would have given him your language by now to allow him to understand, but I do not know if it is something your Blessed Knights can do, I know they can take language but I do not know if they can give it," Jay said.
"These Seekers of Truth are like our Blessed Knights?" Lady Layla asked curiously and Jay nodded.
"Yes honoured Lady, imagine your knights with advanced weapons made up of multiple species who are dedicated to seeking out evil where ever it hides and dragging it into the light to be destroyed and you have the Seekers of Truth," Jay said proudly.
Lady Layla seemed impressed by this little revelation, "Well if they have half the soul that you do little Saviour then they must be a serious force to be reckoned with" she said and Jay nodded.
"They are indeed honoured Lady they like all of Clan Mason are as gentle as cubs with our friends but as fierce as fire tigers with a hangover to our enemies and if you would harm the innocent then whoever you are you are the enemy of Clan Mason and we will find you," Jay said feeling his chest swell with pride as he got to truly feel the weight of the words of the Clan leaders for the first time flowing through him, it was lit it truly hit him for the first time since joining the Saviours.
This is exactly what Matriarch Sela eleth Mason had been talking about when she had said that when she had said that when they were out here they were the living embodiment of the Clan and its values and that they were ambassadors and in order to show people that they met what Clan Mason stood for and now that he was stood here doing just that he felt it, he felt how his actions could result in either new friends joining the cause of Clan Mason or becoming its enemies.
"Indeed little one and it shows," Lady Layla said nodding approvingly.
Jay also noticed that Ketra was looking thoughtfully at Xao now probably thinking about what he had said about their Dream Warriors being able to give language as well as able to take it, "Ummm honoured Lord and Lady if I may beg your indulgence for but a moment, I wish to try what honoured Saviour Jay has just suggested, I did indeed take his language from his mind when I looked into his memories and I wish to try to give him our language so that he may indeed join in the discussion or at the very least understand what is happening," Ketra said.
"Indeed, please go ahead Bless Knight," Lord Beltran said with obvious curiosity in his eyes as he gestured with his large hand and she turned and walked up to Xao.
"Please do not be afraid little one I want nothing more than to aid you in understanding us and what is happening to you," Ketra said softly in heavily accented but easily understandable English as Xao looked up at her with worry in her eyes out of the corner of his eye Jay could also see Ova blatantly worrying by the way her hands were wringing as she watched her leader close in on the little human, Xao himself looked at Jay for comfort and he simply nodded at him.
"Don't worry Xao the Dream Warriors of my people do this all the time" he said and Xao blew out a huge breath and nodded.
Ketra placed her large hands to the sides of Xao's head and both of them closed their eyes and Jay could see Ketra focusing hard as she seemed to be trying to figure out how to give much in the same way as she did when she'd pulled the English Language from his mind, the whole process was obviously new for her and the strain showed on her pretty face and Jay did begin to worry that without the training that the Seekers of Truth provided via their Grand Patriarch and his officers to show them the path that she might not be able to do it.
Happily to her credit Ketra's determination shone through and after only a few minutes she opened her eyes and so did Xao who looked a little dopey and dazed, "Did it work?" she asked in Beledon.
Xao nodded his eyes going wide as he did, "I understand you!" he said in perfect Beledon seemingly surprising himself as he realised what he'd just said.
Ketra's face positively lit up and she turned to look at Jay with a truly beautiful look of excitement and pride, but she wasn't the only one whose face lit up at this little display, Ova's face looked like all of her Freedom Day's had come at once as she realised she could speak to Xao and be understood.
"Well done Blessed Knight Ketra, that was an impressive display of your prowess and one that will undoutabley come in useful for all our Blessed Knights to make use of if we are to encounter more of Clan Mason's people or indeed others and that brings me onto the true reason I have summoned you all here, this here is Blessed Knight Ava Steelhoof and I'm sure both she and you Blessed Knight Ketra know one another as you were both trained in the same temple correct?" Lord Beltran said and Ketra nodded as she turned to look at the other Blessed Knight who was a slight amount smaller than she was and had bright white fur covering her body along with a bright pink nose and ears.
"Indeed we do honoured Lord," Ketra said nodding and taking her place in the lineup again while nodding in greeting at her fellow Blessed Knight who returned it with a warm smile but also a concerned look in her eyes, by her blue and green uniform she obviously belonged to another kingdom.
"Good well it seems that Blessed Knight Ava has received some both interesting and disturbing news from the Kingdom of Evetra which is a long way from here across the great ocean, well I'll let her explain the rest to you as the dealings of the Blessed Ones simply confuses me and I have no wish to look like an ignorant fool so I will hand the floor over to our sister in arms," Lord Beltran said indicating that as Jay suspected she was not only from another kingdom but that it was on friendly terms with this one.
"Thank you honoured Lord Beltran, also greetings to you sister it is very good to see you again," Ava said gesturing to Ketra who returned the wave.
"And you dear Blessed sister," Ketra said.
"The reason I have come here today is I have received a message through the Blessed plane from one of our brothers across the Great Ocean, he is seeking the kinsmen of a team of warriors he encountered who are not of this world or even of the same world, each of them different and he showed me images from his mind of those he encountered and a female among them looked exactly like your two comrades there so I know I am in the right place," Ava said gesturing to Ja and Xao.
Jay's heart jumped up a few gears as he heard what she said and he realised that she was talking about his team and Xao's sister, they were alive!
He couldn't help himself, "My people are alive! Please dear Blessed Knight Ava you have to tell me where they are!" Jay exclaimed and the white-furred Beledon Dream Warrior turned to look at him and she gave him a warm smile.
"On the other side of the ocean, from what our Blessed Brother has told me they were discovered defending a caravan of traders from bandits and the knights that found them did not know who or what they were but the traders vouched for them and told the knights that they saved them and were escorting them to the safety of the city so they have been given refuge within the kingdom, but since they have there have been a number of recorded attacks by the cursed ones but also sightings of non-Beledon Cursed Ones have been cropping up and not only in that kingdom but in others as well, during my time walking the plane I have been hearing from many of our brothers and sisters all over and they have been saying the same thing, these creatures are on our world and what's worse I believe they may very well be responsible for the disaperences among our beloved brothers and sisters that has been happening from all the kingdoms that I can communicate with, what I'm seeing these cursed ones are either afraid of or are certinally worried about the apperence of our visitors and are actively trying to hunt them down but also they are up to something incredibly bad here as well and we need to act" Ava said first addressing Jay and Xao before returning her attentions to Ketra.
Ketra looked both horrified and amazed, "Yes this makes some sense to me and infact the cursed one that just attacked our beloved town at the Flower Festival they demanded that we hand over Jay and Xao so yes it would appear that not only do they know of them but are actively hunting them but what can we do?" Ketra said.
Ava nodded, "Well from what our brother from across the ocean said that our visitors have promised to help us and have asked for our help in returning their beloved brothers to them, he asked me to help him track them down and to deliver this message, I heard from one of our hunting teams what happened the other day about the attack by the labyrinth and I just knew that they must be here so I came as soon as was permitted by my Lord," Ava said.
The joy and relief that Jay felt over finding out his brother and sister Saviours were alive was truly incredible and by the look on Xao's face, he felt exactly the same this manifested a moment later when the young Asian man threw his arms around Jay and yelled "My sister is alive! You promised me and you were right! Oh thank God!" while hugging Jay and by the way, Ova was flinching she looked like she wanted to join the hug or more accurately prise Xao out of Jay's arms and to hold him in her own.
When he parted from he looked guilty as he saw the surprised looks of both Lord Beltran and Lady Layla, "My apologies honoured Lord and Lady but having just received the news that my beloved sister survived the crash that brought us here it just overwhelmed me, so I apologise for my outburst" he said and both Lady Layla and Lord Beltran smiled and nodded.
"You have nothing to be sorry for young Xao, it is clear to all that you care deeply for your beloved one and feared for her safety, this behaviour would be expected from any self-respecting Beledon as well," Lord Beltran said waving a hand dismissively.
"Thank you kind Lord," Xao said and Lord Beltran smiled and nodded.
"Not a problem in fact this behaviour simply has cemented my belief in the decision that my beloved wife and I made upon receiving this news as well as the actions of Saviour Jay in protecting our people here at the temple, please both kneel," he said and both Jay and Xao looked at one another before stepping forwards and doing so.
He hefted a huge sword from the side of his throne and stood up from his throne before stepping up to the pair, he reached down and touched the sword onto Jay's shoulders, "Jay Mathers honoured Saviour of the Clan Mason I hereby knight you by the power vested in me as the Lord of this land you are hereby knighted Sir Jay Mathers knight protector of the realm, now where ever you tread you are a representative of this kingdom and its people, arise Sir Jay Mathers" he said and Jay was truly shocked as he arose.
"T-Thank you, Lord Beltran, I-I don't know what to say" he exclaimed and Lord Beltran clapped him on the shoulder with a massive hand.
"No, thank you, knight, you defended our people when you did not have to therefore proving your character to us, you deserve this," he said then he stepped up to Xao and touched his sword to his shoulders in the same way.
"Xao you are being given the position of Knight Squire and will be assigned to serve one of the honoured knights of this company for your service, now please do not think for one moment that it is me taking your freedom from you, this is infact a great honour that many who wish to become a knight one day aspire to and work hard for and will mark you as one of the people of this land carrying with you the rights and privileges as such, in fact, I was thinking of asking Sir Jay to be your Knight sponsor so that he may elevate you when the time comes, with the blessing of our Blessed Knight of course," Lord Beltran said and suddenly Jay saw an opportunity click into place in his mind and an evil smile flashed over his face for a brief moment one that was noticed by Ketra and highlighted with a flick of the ear and a cock of her head.
"If I may Lord Beltran may I offer an alternative?" he said quickly and Lord Beltran looked at him in surprise but gestured for him to continue.
"Well given my newness to being a Knight I doubt I would be a good teacher, I believe he needs a much more experience Knight other than myself to teach him properly, so if I may make a suggestion?" Jay said.
"Umm ok please do," Lord Beltran said in obvious surprise and Jay quickly turned moved down the line approached Ova and quickly grabbed her hand before leading the surprised-looking Knight right over to Xao's side.
"It is my belief that honoured Knight Ova here would be a far better fit to teach Xao the rope of being a knight," he said and Ova's jaw looked like it was about to hit the floor her ears pinged right up like she was trying to touch the ceiling with them in pure shock.
And she wasn't the only one the other knights and even Ketra looked genuinely shocked, but then Ketra's face slowly morphed into a warm knowing smile as she read his intentions perfectly and realised what he was attempting to do, he'd heard that the Grand Patriarch had a habit of playing matchmaker between people of various races and now he kinda saw why, it was a genuinely nice feeling to see the seeds of what could be a truly beautiful love between two members of two completely different races as they celebrated their differences and relished their similarities and to have a hand in watering those beautiful seeds was a beautiful feeling, plus after all the horrible shit that had happened to Xao the gentle young human engineer in Jay's opinion he deserved to have something wonderful happen to him and it didn't take a Dream Warrior to see that Ova was a very kind and gentle person who obviously just wanted to protect people and make them happy.
It was Jay's humble opinion that they would make a beautiful couple as the giant bovine woman as blatantly strong and as ferocious a warrior as she had a gentle streak as wide as her curvy hips, plus by the way, before the translator finally got a massive grip on their language it kept translating her words as pretty friend Xao it was obvious she liked the way he looked and her body language simply screamed it, even now as he'd placed the massive Beledon woman next to him still on his knees before Lord Beltran and Lady Layla she was positively dancing on the spot her cloven hooves making a clopping noise on the wooden floor of the long house as she tried desperately to contain her excitement at Jay who was now her fellow knight offering her this chance to take on his kinsman and guide him which would guarantee her being allowed to be as close to him as possible.
Lord Beltran glanced between the two humans and the obviously excited Beledon woman and then he glanced at his wife who by the smile that had now suddenly appeared on her face seemed to have also clicked onto what was actually going on and she gave him a nod to show her approval.
"Very well then and thank you for your honesty good knight Jay, well so be it Knight Ova to you accept Squire Xao as your honoured squire and will you take him and train him in our ways while also setting him an example to follow so that he to may become an honoured knight of our fair kingdom?" Lord Beltran asked and Ova's head nodded so fast her ears whipped back and forth so fast they kept slapping her in the eyes making her blink rapidly.
"Yes! Errr I mean yes it would be my truest honour to take squire Xao under my wing and keep him close while I train him to become an honoured knight who will do the good people of these fair lands proud" she said proudly and now Lord Beltran smiled as he seemed to have caught on just like his wife.
"Very well then arise squire Xao and greet your honoured knight protector and master, from this moment you are in her service and she is your guardian, oh and knight Jay I hereby assign you to work under Blessed Knight Ketra as she'll be leading the expedition," he said turning from Xao to Jay and Jay cocked his head curiously.
"Umm expedition honoured Lord?" he said in confusion and Lord Beltran nodded.
"That's right, I'm sending Blessed Knight Ketra on a quest to not only reunite you with your fellow kinsmen from Clan Mason but to also get to the bottom of this plague of cursed one's plaguing our fair lands as well as the others, I will not have it said that I stood by and did nothing while these vile creatures rampage unchecked killing and defiling these lands and their good people with their presence, it will be your job to enlist the help of your kinsmen and to act as an ambassador between your people and ours so that we can put a stop to them," he said.
Jay felt a massive surge of exhilaration pulse through him, he was going to see his people again, then they could put their heads together and see what they could do to fix this and hopefully get in contact with the Clan and call in backup as he was sure the Grand Patriarch would want to know about what was going on here.
"When do we leave honoured Lord?" Ketra asked and he looked at her.
"Right away I do not believe it would be good or advantageous to wait, so I want you all to gear up, infact I've already started preparations and sent runners to collect provisions for you as well as armour, our finest armourers are already making both armour and swords for you both infact someone is there ready to measure you both," he said gesturing to the back of the room with a large hand.
Instantly a large yellow-furred Beledon woman dressed in a large thick leather apron detached herself from the wall and made her way to the front and bowed to the Lord and Lady before she turned and began to measure both Jay and Xao and suddenly Jay could see both Ova and Ketra getting somewhat twitchy.
She was incredibly rapid and very professional but Jay could see that she was also curious about them, he felt a little odd as she was wrapping the tape measure around his waist and running it up and down his legs especially when she ran her large hand up the inside of his legs and then looked up at him with surprisingly wide eyes as her hand reached the top and that's when he heard what sounded like a deep snort and what almost sounded like a growl.
As both of them turned their heads they both saw Ketra looking like she was about one step away from picking up the woman by her tail and throwing her horns first through the wall, "I do believe you have got all the measurement you require correct?" she growled and the woman instantly nodded and let go of Jay quicker faster than if she was currently on fire.
Once she stepped back Ketra just appeared at his side and planted a heavy hand upon his right shoulder all the while never taking her eyes off her, the woman quickly moved over to Xao only to find Ova glaring down at her as if to dare her to touch him in an untoward way although Jay didn't think that she had she was just surprised by him was all but boy were these Beledon girls overprotective.
She did her job quickly and bowed to the Lord and Lady, "Our team is working flat out honoured lord and lady, the swords and armour will be ready in the next three hours," she said before bowing again and leaving quickly.
"Ok then Blessed knight Ketra ready your team, Blessed Knight Ava has already agreed to escort you through the territory of her beloved Lord and Lady with their blessing to the ocean where they have graciously agreed to arrange passage upon one of their trade ships which are set to leave for the Northern territories but from that point on you will be on your own and there is a lot of ground to cover and we all know the dangers of those territories and the dangers that you will face but I have faith that you will take good care of both yourselves and our two newest editions," Lord Beltran said and all of the knights snapped to attention as well as both Jay and Xao a moment later.
Lady Layla stepped forwards and placed a hand upon both Xao and Jay's shoulders, "And I am quite sure that our two newest editions will take very good care of our honoured knights as well won't you both?" she said her eyes giving way to a very warm but also conspirital smile that she was doing a poor job of hiding.
"We will do our very best honoured Lady, isn't that right squire Xao?" Jay said glancing at the obviously confused human man but he nodded, all the same, agreeing with his kinsman.
"Of course," he said and she nodded approvingly squeezing both of their shoulders.
"Good I am glad to hear it these are among the very best among our number and they deserve their hard work being not only recognised but rewarded," she said and with that final well-wishing, the group turned and followed Ketra out of the long house and heading for Ketra's home.
As they walked Jay noticed how hard Ova seemed to be fighting the urge to break out into a full-on skip, a fact that she compounded a moment later when she actually did start though a quick glance from Ketra stopped her short of grabbing Xao's hand and getting him to join her.
Once they were in the house both Jay and Xao were promptly deposited back on the couch as the girls began a massive panic packing session and to be fair both of them were rather glad to be in the safety zone of the couch as it was a hell of a lot safer than being in the way of the Eternal Huntress knows how many hundred pounds of bovine female that was currently in full rampage pack mode, Jay had once heard the Grand Patriarch make a joke about going on patrol with the Grand Matriarch was like going on holiday with a human woman due to the amount of armour and knives she would pack, suddenly he realised it was a universal constant.
It actually took them the complete three hours to pack everything that they thought they would need to take for the quest, they packed what to the two human males sat on the couch felt like the entire house into their large packs, which were only made larger by their armour and weapons not to mention the supplies that were dropped off along with a cart that was being pulled by what looked to Jay to be a truly massive Reptile with thick armoured scales and a large pointed horn covered head.
"What the hell is that thing!?" Xao exclaimed as they came outside to load the excess stuff onto the cart.
"Oh this is just a Venasaurian lizard, fear not Xao they are very friendly and make great beasts of burden because they are incredibly strong and can carry incredible loads, I promise he will not hurt you," Ova said stroking the massive reptile's head and it made a chortling noise and looked at her happily with its large red eyes while its long orange tongue lolled out of his mouth.
As they were loading the blacksmith they had met earlier came hurrying over carrying a large crate that contained the handmade armour and weapons that he and his team had made for Jay and Xao and as the pair lifted out the beautifully hand-crafted armour and the specially resized swords made to fit both of the humans.
"Oh wow this is beautiful, thank you so much," Jay said smiling broadly as he lifted up the heavy bronze and steel plate, it was steel underneath but with bronze set into the design that was atop of the layered steel plate.
The blacksmith looked so proud and happy at Jay's approval and bowed out to the knights graciously before heading back to his shop, "Ok now let's get you into your armour and we can get on the road," Ketra said planting a hand on Jay's shoulder and beginning to steer him towards the house and Ova's face lit up.
"Oh yes of course! I must show my squire how to put his own armour on and then when we stop for the night I must show him how to remove mine!' she exclaimed happily before grabbing the confused-looking Xao and quickly leading him into the house.
"You may use the bathroom I will use the bedroom," Ketra said to Ova who nodded and quickly steered Xao into the room allowing the young Asian man just enough time to give Jay a worried look before he vanished into the bathroom with Ova.
Moments later he was steered into Ketra's bedroom and the door was promptly shut behind them, she quickly laid out all of the armour pieces on the bed except for the boots which Jay found himself truly amazed that they'd managed to make in just three hours as they had zero experience making human footwear before but by the incredible metal boots designed to cover his own boots over, they appeared to be lined with some kind fleece designed to be wrapped the outside of his boots and to cover them with impeding his steps, they were apparently a kind of boot wrap that left his treads free to do their job, he found himself astounded by not only the level of craftsmanship and the scaling.
"Ok now from your memories I can see the type of armour you use and it still amazes me that such things exist and if I had not seen the incredible power that weapon of yours holds I might even doubt my own memories taken from you, but obviously ours is no-where near as advanced as yours, so I will need to instruct you on the proper way to not only wear it but on how to put it on I just hope it is not too heavy for you," she said and he nodded.
"Yeah our armour is quite something, it's made in the science hive of our home and is designed not only to be strong but light and powerful, the self-assembly part is also nice for speed of entry and exit," he said and Ketra nodded.
"Yes I can only imagine the joys of armour that puts itself on and takes itself off, oh the time that could be saved by such a thing," she said with a dreamy smile on her face which she quickly shook off and then picked up the chainmail undershirt that was lined with soft leather and fleece to stop it grating on his bare skin.
"Arms up," she said in a commanding voice and Jay did as she asked after removing his rifle and placing it down on the bed.
He did as she commanded and she stepped forwards and let the chainmail shirt down over his head letting it sit on his shoulder before she stepped in and began to smooth it down around his body ensuring it was not caught but even through the shirt he could feel her massive hands lingering on both his stomach and his chest, he glanced up and saw a soft dreamy look in her pretty eyes, she caught him looking and her ears instantly began to twitter and if not for her red fur he swore he'd have seen a blush on her face.
"Umm ok now the greaves and boots," she said with a note of embarrassment in her voice, he just smiled and her and nodded, he turned and she knelt down to pick up the greaves which were designed to step into before being pulled up and tightened, she held them out and he stepped into them and she pulled them up to his waist before leaning in to tighten the leather straps both inside his legs and around his waist, she did his waist first and then the ones around his inner thighs last and he noticed she took a lot longer with these ones.
The boots came up to his knees so would protect his shins, as she lifted his right boot she used one hand to steady him while he leaned on her massive shoulder she opened the boots and wrapped them around his boot and lower leg before moving to tighten them around his leg, now all that was left were the chest plate, the gauntlets and the helmet.
Jay examined the gauntlets to ensure that they would not impede him from using his rifle, they were made to fit through his trigger guard which surprised him, the blacksmith must have taken notice of it and made his assistant take the appropriate measurements.
Ketra lifted the large chest plate up, "Arms up again" she said and he did as he was told allowing her to place it over his head and strap him into it, which were followed by the gloves and finally the dome-shaped helmet that had large horns like Ketra's attached to it obviously pays homage to their creators.
The last thing that was placed onto him was his new sword which was strapped to his waist with a large bronze buckled belt, she reached slowly around him and very slowly pulled it tight before threading the buckle and gently running a large hand over his plated chest.
"You look like a true knight now Jay and if I may say it suits you and you look good," she said with a soft smile which caused his skin to warm under the heavy armour.
"Thank you Ketra you are very kind to say so though I gotta say ain't a patch on yours, your's really matches your fur," he said softly making her ears prick up and a lob-sided smile lit her face.
"Come on we must go now as much as I would like to stay right here and practice removing the armour again," she said making Jay's mouth drop open as she turned and with a roll of her large hips and a flick of her long luscious tail that drew his eyes she opened the door and was gone, oh boy it was going to be hard work to walk in this stuff especially as it was somewhat tight around the crotch area, so once Ketra had managed to pry Ova out of the bathroom along with Xao who while now dressed in his squire's armour which was much lighter than Jay's in that is was leather with chainmail and a few plates attached but not full plate was looking somewhat stunned and by the blush and the dreamy looking smile on his face he had rather enjoyed his time in the close confines of the bathroom with Ova.
They headed outside and joined the rest of the company and on Ava's word and with her fellow Dream Warrior at her side they began the match, though as Jay realised that he was planted directly behind Ketra and his eyes were already glued to her tail and the way the plates shimmed as her hips rolled and he tripped three times in the first three steps he knew this was going to be a hell of a trip.
