Chapter 78: Path of the Unchained Heart.
Adesus and Feris began to grow desperate in their plight, it had taken them literal days to pluck up the courage to approach an alien world let alone to speak to its people because as proud Velons trusting outsiders was not an easy thing at all and at first communication had been nigh on impossible until a kind interstellar trader gave them a piece of tech that was apparently built by a race that called themselves the Felenis that translated languages both written and spoken so that the wearer could understand them which made things a hell of a lot easier.
Though it still didn't help them in the long run, it seemed no matter who they spoke to or where they searched no-one had heard of the God-Slayer or the Breaker of Chains and as the days ticked onwards they grew more and more desperate until finally, they got a break.
In order to fuel their ship and to pay for their quest the pair had been forced to do odd jobs around some of the space stations they had encountered though the first amount of their money had gone towards purchasing a second translator unit so that they could both work rather than it falling to one or the other.
To cut down on their expenses they opted to stay on their ship and to sleep in the small bunks provided so they didn't have to pay for lodgings and they would often visit uninhabited worlds to look for supplies where they could as well but they processed fuel that ran their engines was not something that came cheap, basic hydrogen fuel to run their interstellar engines was essentially free as they just used the shuttle's fuel scoop to syphon it off a system's sun which was a staple in all Velon ships which admittedly they had very few of.
It tied in with their way of life of preserving the balance of their home and not damaging it in any unnecessary way, so scooping fuel from the sun to power their engines and not mining it or pulling it from a planet's fragile ecosystem was something tied into the proud Velon way of thinking.
It was as Feris was working on one of the many shipyards they visited in their plight that she finally got a break, she was running a power loader designed to carry cargo and fuel barrels from the docks to the berthed ships when she overheard a conversation between two members of a species she'd never seen but her translator blatantly had thanks to the fact it instantly began to translate their speech for her.
"Did you hear? Vanessa has left the Clan she declared before the elders that she's going to break off and follow the path, I can't believe she'd do this to us!" one of the aliens a tall and very broad male with rough-looking green and brown patterned skin said.
She couldn't see his face thanks to the silver face mask that he wore concealing his features, but she could see large tubal-like appendages that ran down the back of his head that reached his mid-back which even under his plated chest armour that was covered in odd looking weapons she could see was incredibly well muscled.
"What path is she following? Could she not just be going on a solo hunt again? You know how she's been lately, she always was a restless female," his companion said who was a much darker-skinned male though equal in size and height.
"No my patriarch came storming in from the meeting and was stomping around the trophy room talking to my matriarch and he was saying that's the second female and fifth male we've lost in two years to pauking path of the Unchained Heart!" the first male said.
Feris's heart froze in her chest and her pointy ear's nearly pricked up so hard and fast that she nearly got her quills stuck in the sponge lining of the roof of her loader cab.
She couldn't lose an opportunity like this, she knew the two males were dangerous simply by looking at them, they looked like hunters or warriors though given their liking for bladed and hand weapons she just hoped that like Adesus they had a sense of honour and would aid her in her plight rather than wish her harm for merely asking questions as some had done already.
She quickly hopped out of the loader cab after setting it to stand by and hopped down her clawed feet making a clicking sound on the metal of the dock floor as she hurried towards them, the pair turned as she drew close confirming her suspicion of them being hunters as their senses were obviously incredibly sharp.
"What the pauk is that thing?" the black and red-skinned male asked his companion.
"No idea but it seems we are its prey brother given the way it is looking at us," the first one she'd heard said gruffly and she noticed his large hand moved to rest on a circular object that hung on its belt that looked to be a throwing weapon of some kind.
"I am sorry to intrude honourable sentients, but if you would please indulge me a question," she said politely saluting the two by balling a fist and placing it to her chest before bowing a little in the way she had seen a few sentient beings do in a polite greeting of one another.
Both of the males looked at one another and the green one seemed to relax somewhat, "It shows respect and honour brother a rare thing these days, it also seems to speak Yautja," he said.
"Indeed hunt brother, well then go ahead stranger you have shown both honour and respect we will allow you one question," the black and red-skinned male said.
"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation you mentioned the path of the Unchained Heart, it is said to be a book or tome do you know where I might find such a thing?' Feris asked as politely as she could.
The first male growled and made an odd clicking noise, "The path of the Unchained Heart is a myth, one spread by race traitor pauks who have lost all sense of honour or loyalty to their clan or people, you should not get involved with those people strange one, it will lead you to ruin," the first male said.
"Agreed that book is nothing but a plague on the Yautja people, any good Elder would burn any copy of it they found polluting their Clan ship, infact I heard that our Eldars have sent fourteen of them confiscated from such traitors from our Clan ship to be incinerated at this very dock this very morning, good pauking riddance, a free clan who loves whom their heart chooses for them indeed, such pauking Redoleph shit," the other said sounding like he was spitting the words out but Feris was not listening all she was hearing was an incinerator.
"Thank you honoured sentients for your help in this matter, the Velon people with thank you, in the long run, I swear!" she said and with that, she took off as fast as her little clawed feet would take her.
Fortunately, as they'd been here for a few days building up some credits for the next step of their journey the pair of them had managed to get quite well acquainted with the dock workers and some of the others as well, Feris knew the person in-charge of the incinerator which destroyed waste from the berthed ships which powered not only a large turbine system to help with power generation but helped purify and recycle some of the station's water supply, some of the newer stations used hydrogen cracking to do this but a lot of the older stations had systems like this one in place to make use of everything they could.
The workers who ran the incinerator were all members of a large canine race called the Cananis who according to a chatty and over-friendly Felenis girl they'd met on the docks had all once been slaves who got accidentally freed when a pirate ship hit the freighter carrying them, though given that they basically been taken by the pirates and sold to the owner of this station 'freed' was a really loose term.
The large male Cananis who ran the incinerator crew was massive standing about eight feet tall and with fur as black as the night hell if it wasn't for his bright blue eyes and whiter-than-white teeth which barely hid behind the black lips of his long snout in the shadows you'd have barely seen him.
As Feris approached the large male swivelled a triangular pointy ear to track her approach making the little feather charms he had woven into the fire of his large head swish with the movement.
"Hello Remer it's Feris from the docks do you remember me?" she asked as she entered the small little control hut that was filled with monitors and control switches for all of the incinerators.
The big male turned to look at her and then simply nodded slowly never taking his piercing blue eyes off her, one thing about Cananis was they rarely spoke, choosing to let you carry a conversation while they simply watched and listened.
"So umm yeah has the waste pod from the err Yautja ship been put through yet?" she asked trying to identify the species by what they'd said, they'd called their language Yautja so she hoped like hell that it was the name of their species too.
Remer shook his large head and flicked a large ear at her curiously, "So umm question did the Elders of the ship mark anything as a high priority because I think something may have gotten mixed in there from the loaders on the docks and I've got some people freaking out down there looking for it, they sent me up here to check just in case cos some tails getting clipped if it is the case," she said tucking in her own long tail at the mention of tail clipping.
Again he nodded an affirmation, "Has it gone through yet?" she asked hope dripping from her every word and as the big male shook his head and pointed to the monitor that showed incinerator number six and what appeared to be a red crate getting ready to be loaded her heart did a back flip before freezing.
"Tell them to hold that crate I'll be right there thank you, Remer you're a lifesaver!!" she yelled and bolted for the door heading for the incinerator bay, she only hoped she could make it there and back before anyone noticed her missing.
The young Velon ran to the incinerator bay as fast as her legs would carry her, she had to rely more than once on her amazing reflexes to stop her barreling into people who were rather surprised to see a running Velon sprint around the corner on a collision course with them but finally, she made it to the bay and to her heart's sheer relief she saw the red crate sitting next to the belt waiting to be loaded by two large burly Cananis males who watched her approach silently.
"Can you open it please?" she asked pointing to the crate and the males looked at one another before taking a large pry bar and using it to break open the crate's seals at the top and lifting the large plastic lid so she could clamber up onto the table to look into it.
Inside the crate were all kinds of strange items she didn't recognise but the one thing she did know when she saw it was a book and just like the fourteen of them that were sat in the middle of the mix.
Feris leaned in and grabbed two of them and upon lifting them she saw that they were identical and down the spines of both she saw the words 'Unchained Heart' scratched into the leather bindings in what must be the Yautja language.
She hugged the two books against her chest and quickly used the other trash in the crate to cover the others up so the dock workers didn't get suspicious, "Oh thank the blood, you guys are lifesavers I've got what I need thank you so so much, yeah you can put it in the incinerator now," she said jumping down and heading out of the incinerator room very quickly heading back to her locker so she could hide her prizes to take back at the end of her shift.
The remainder of her shift seemed to absolutely drag by as she was so absolutely excited to not only start pawing over the book as well as to tell Adesus of her find, all this time spent searching and they found what they needed to potentially save their planet and their species in a trash crate bound for the incinerator, she was so excited it made her quills vibrate.
Once her shift was done Feris clocked out and after showering and changing she quickly snatched her bounty from her locker and hurried back to the ship where she found Adesus in the cargo area of the shuttle working on her training with her ceremonial sword and staff.
"Honoured Guardian Adesus I have it I have what we've been looking for!!" Feris exclaimed happily holding out her treasure towards the large female Guardian who looked at the two leather-bound books in her hands in genuine surprise.
"Truly!? You have found it!!?" she exclaimed placing her weapons down and rushing forwards towards Feris and snatching one of the books from her outstretched hands before turning it over in her own.
"This is it the Unchained Heart and it's written by someone called Tik eleth," Feris said showing Adesus the inscription on the first page.
"Do you believe we will find the information we need to find the God Slayer or the Breaker of Chains in this tome Feris?" Adesus asked and Feris shrugged.
"Honestly I do not know all we can do is trust in all mother and her insights, she's never led me or indeed our people wrong before, she has always had the best interest of all Velons regardless of their species or beginnings at the centre of her heart with her every action," Feris said and Adesus nodded.
"Well you are a Hand of Mycelia so I will trust you Feris, we have the credits we need and the fuel need to continue our journey all we need now is a destination," Adesus said wisping the sweat from her quills before shaking them dry and reaching for her towel to dry herself off.
"Well I was able to grab two of them so we have one each, if we both read through it we may well be able to spot anything the other misses," Feris said and Adesus nodded her head flicking one of her pointed ears.
"Where were you able to find it?" Adesus asked curiously as she turned her copy of the leather-bound book over in her hands.
"I met a species called the Yautja in the docks and overheard two of their warriors talking about some of the books being found on their clanship and one of their elders confiscated them and sent them for disposal in the incinerator, I'm kinda friendly with one of the guys who works down there a large Cananis guy and I convinced him that something was thrown in there from the docks by accident and they let me look and I swiped them," Feris said feeling proud of her self as she gave Adesus a toothy grin.
Adesus's lips curled up showing the white teeth that lined her muzzle and she glanced up at Feris, "Quick thinking young one very well done, well I'll turn in our notices and request docking clearance once we're safely back in deep space we'll begin going over these tomes and see what secrets if any they hold, hopefully, this will lead us where we need to be," Adesus said taking the book and heading to the cockpit.
Feris decided to get to work right away, she took out her own note-making tools so she could mark anything she felt was of significance and quickly she began to paw through the tome.
It turned out to be an odd mixture of poetry and a diary, it told the story of a betrayed and lonely huntress who was not only ostracised from her people due to her height but of struggle with becoming the best at what she did, it told of her countless betrayals where her people passed over her accomplishments choosing instead to champion the far lesser accomplishments of others just because they fit her people's standards of beauty and feminity.
Feris began to feel the author's sadness and anger in every passage which spiralled into a profound despair and loneliness when she got stranded in a world and hunted by criminals of her own people that she referred to as 'Bad Bloods' scum who did not follow the proper ways of the true and honourable hunt.
Then everything changed, she met someone referred to as an ooman survivor, a male dropped onto the world for these bad bloods to hunt as well but after seeing his own prowess the huntress felt drawn to him, felt that she would stand a far better chance of survival and escape with his aid so she approached him and they made an alliance but there was far more to it.
This was where everything changed for the lonely huntress, this ooman male changed her world completely, she detailed how her species had taught her all her life that oomans were nothing but a weak and dishonourable prey species but this male was nothing of the kind, he stood for her fought for her honoured her in ways her own people simply never had and did so all off his own back without any kind of prompting simply because he felt it was the right and correct thing to do.
Then a drastic moment, the ooman stood for her in her direst moment of need, near sacrificing himself to not only protect her but to save her life, he pulled off something he never should have been able to do, he defeated countless warriors to protect her and carried her back to her cave and healed her body while she lay unconscious and bleeding.
When she awoke she found him covered in both her blood and his own, he had tended her wounds and paid little mind to his own, he had near sacrificed his own life for hers, it showed the huntress that everything she had believed had been a lie.
It changed her entire perspective, shook her to her very core and opened her eyes in a way that she had never imagined possible, she remembered vividly him standing over her rapidly failing body screaming at their foes that they would not take her from him that she was his and he would die for her and had very nearly succeeded in doing so.
That's when young Feris got her own innocent mind blown because what followed next showed the huntresses casting off the shackles and chains of her people's laws and instructions and embracing the ooman in a way that had been strictly forbidden by her people, she detailed very vividly their every encounter and how selfless and loving the ooman male she called Ack was to her and her ever-growing want and love of him until finally, it detailed their escape of the planet and their full acceptance of one another as well as their dedication to one another.
They planned to start their own clan, one based on honour and love, of a free heart where none would be judged by what their heart laid out for them, a clan that would fight for others and protect those who were both innocent and different, they would raise a clan of warriors whose sole purpose would be to fight evil and defend those who needed them.
That's when Feris found something at the end that made her heart jump in her chest "And if you too can follow my path too dear reader then maybe just maybe you too will find your place among us, we are awaiting you hidden in the stars the only question you need ask yourself are you ready to tread the path of a heart unchained by fear?"
But it wasn't just the words that entranced Feris she realised that between the words were a set of numbers that when aligned properly made a star reference grid, it was a fucking map!!
Feris was on her feet and running to the quarters of Adesus as fast as she could and when she burst in on her comrade yelling that she knew where they had to go she wasn't exactly expecting to find her on her back dressed only in her underwear with her hand down her panties and her eyes closed while the book rested on her ample chest.
Adesus screeched like a banshee who somehow managed to catch her clit in her flies as she vanished under the covers faster than a startled Sand home-burrowing spider.
"Oh shit I'm so sorry Adesus, I-I-I'll wait for you in the cockpit, yeah that's what I'll do," Feris said nervously as she saw the glaring purple eyes staring at her through a small dark gap in the sheets.
About twenty minutes later a rather ruffled and annoyed-looking Adesus appeared in the cockpit and dropped into the pilot's seat, "Err sorry for umm bursting in on you Adesus and for what it's worth I fully understand the huntress's descriptions were umm very vivid and stimulating..." Feris began to apologise quickly until Adesus held up a quill-covered hand to stop her dead.
"Not another word on the subject I am a proud Guardian of Life and a healthy female that's all there is to it, now you said you know where to go?' she said abruptly and Feris nodded.
"I found numbers hidden in the text, I ignored them just imagining them to be reference breaks or something until I read the last part, which talks about finding them by following her path, I took all the numbers and laid them out and they were a hidden star reference Adesus," Feris said and Adesus looked at her doubtfully.
Feris squeezed past her and entered the numbers into the Navi-computer which immediately processed them and spit up a planetary body with a breathable atmosphere.
"Well by the blood, what are the chances of that? It must be something after all, well done loyal Hand of Mycelia the all mother would be proud of you, it looks to be only five jumps away we should make it in a couple of days, let's go!" Adesus said with far more enthusiasm in her voice now.
It took the pair a couple of days to complete the jumps and reach the planet but as they approached they started to get pinged by a warning beacon in orbit that warned that this planet was a claimed planet referencing a clan name and if any landed they would be considered fair game by any clan hunters on the ground or in the skies.
Adesus wanted to turn back but that's when something the huntress had said about not letting fear rule your heart sprung into Feris's mind and she decided to look closer at the message, she ran it through an audio filter and immediately picked up something.
"There's a series of odd beeps under the voice, can you hear that?' she asked and Adesus looked at her as she played the message out loud with the filtered results.
"It sounds like numbers to me, grouped beeps forming numbers," she said and out of curiosity, she punched them into the nav comp and instantly the image of the planet spun to a thick jungle-like forest with a green circle flashing on it.
"They're coordinates, latitude and longitude! Oh, this huntress is clever I'm beginning to like her a lot already, she'd have made a fine Guardian!" Adesus exclaimed setting in the coordinates and taking the shuttle down.
The co-ordinates were in a clearing in the jungle and as the pair got ready Adesus placed a hand on Feris's shoulder, "We do not know what kind of dangers this planet holds young one, do not wander off, stay close and follow my lead ok?" she said and Feris nodded.
"I defer to your judgement when it comes to combat honoured Guardian," she said and Adesus nodded approvingly.
"Good to hear now let's go see what other surprises this huntress has hidden for us," she said.
The jungle was hot and humid and no sooner had the pair set foot on the soil of the planet than Feris felt sweat begin to drip off her quills along with water condensed from the air, "By the blood this place is warm," she moaned and Adesus grinned at her broadly.
"You should try summer in Sand-Home if you want to know what warm feels like, the sun is so strong it'll bleach your quills if you're not careful," she said with a grin and that's when she noticed something carved into a rock at the edge of the clearing.
The pair approached the rock cautiously and Feris read the inscription aloud, "Only one who wishes to cast off the chains of their heart dare walk this path but in order to walk it you must first know yourself and see who you are, only then will you truly understand where to go," she said and the pair looked at one another curiously.
"Well, it looks like an invitation is extended let's follow it and see where it leads us," Adesus said pointing to a small rune that kinda looked like an arrow pointing off into the jungle and so the pair set off with Adesus leading the way.
An hour later and after many skirmishes with the local wolves later the pair reached the edge of a large pool of water with a beautiful serene waterfall over it, "Oh thank the blood!" Adesus said and without so much a second thought she jumped into the crystal clear water.
As Feris sat on the rocks of the shore watching the Guardian not only washing the blood off herself from the wolves she'd fought off with her ceremonial sword but cooling herself down she couldn't help but think that this looked exactly like the waterfall that the huntress had described watching her ooman wash himself under, she remembered vividly the arousal she had described upon seeing his alien but no less beautiful body as it glistened pure and naked under the sunlight.
She found herself wondering if the opportunity came could she herself look at an alien like that, would she be able to see the pure beauty of a member of another species in the way that the huntress did?
As she sat thinking about her words deeply she found herself looking into the clear water and at her on reflection, she didn't think she was a bad-looking member of her species and given that there were quite a few different ones in her world who all fell under the term Velon that was actually saying something.
As she looked at her short muzzle, her high cheekbones, and the soft covering of quills running over her almost canine-like face she noticed something odd and that's when her heart lept into her chest once again.
"Adesus I found it! The next piece of the puzzle!!" she exclaimed and the lithe and muscular Guardian looked up sharply sending crystal water spraying from her quills as she shook them dry sending spray in all directions.
Adesus waded over to her and Feris pointed into the water where the Guardian instantly spotted the piece of polished slate or rock that was under the water's surface with words scribed into them so as to not erode.
"So now you have seen yourself and seen the truth of your heart, you have followed my steps and sat where I sat as I wrestled with my own heart and soul a singular question remains to ask yourself, are you truly free?" Feris read and then she looked in confusion ad Adesus.
"I think it's a riddle, hang on wait look here," Feris said reaching into the water and gently brushing away some of the sand and stones that had gathered on the polished slate and as she did she revealed more of the message.
"True freedom only comes to those bold enough not only to seek it but to seize it, you must break your chains or offer them to one you trust more than anything to break them for you, if your chains are ready to be broken seek me where I truly broke mine and those of my heart's truest star," Feris said and then she looked at the bottom of the slate and she saw a picture of what appeared to be a cave high atop of a cliff.
"She's telling us to go where she and her Ack lived while they were trapped here, look that's her home!!" Feris exclaimed pointing at the picture.
"But how the hell are we supposed to find that place?" Adesus exclaimed.
"Well if it were up to me I'd start there," Feris said pointing off towards a large mountain with a large cliff face jutting out of it in the distance.
"Good enough for me, let's go," Adesus said and the pair quickly set off back into the jungle.
It took them about an hour and a half to pick their way through the dense jungle until they finally stumbled upon a large cliff face, about halfway up it they could see what appeared to be an alcove hidden in the rocks.
"You think that's it?" Feris asked looking up.
"Only one way to find out, we climb young one and be careful there's nowhere to tie off so we're going to have to free climb it, be sure of your footing before you move, I'll go first and chart our route," Adesus said latching herself onto the rock face.
Feris's heart bounced in her chest as she climbed she really was not a fan of heights but she kept looking up and forward as she moved, making sure Adesus didn't accidentally knock her off the rocks with the swishing of her long tail as she moved upwards ahead of her, until finally, they reached the alcove.
"How the hell did that ooman haul the huntress up this cliff when she was unconscious no wonder she said it was a feat of impossibility!!?" Feris exclaimed as they crawled onto the floor of the alcove panting.
"Look Feris I think we've found it," Adesus said softly pointing forwards and Feris looked up to find a large wooden frame blocking the entrance to the cave like a door, it was blatantly carved and set in place.
The pair got to their feet and walked up to the door, "Do we knock?" Feris asked and Adesus shrugged and rapped her knuckles on the wood which have a solid thudding noise as she hit it.
"Umm hello? We've come seeking the huntress?" Feris called but there was only silence in response.
"I doubt anyone lives where we should go in," Adesus said pushing against the wooden frame but it was a lot heavier than she anticipated forcing her to strain hard to push it out of the way.
As it slid clear sunlight flooded into the cave beyond and they found what looked to bed a converted bedroom of some kind, this was where the huntress had once taken shelter while she had been trapped here.
The pair entered and looked around and everything was as it was described in the journal, from the weapons racks to the cooking fire to the fur-covered giant bed frame where the huntress and her ooman had slept and made love that first time.
That's when Feris noticed something laid on the bed and she rushed over to it, it was a piece of carved slate, "You have followed the path, you have walked in my footsteps and you have seen my struggle, my heart and my soul, you have felt the burden I bore and the chains that weighed me, my chains are broken now the only question that remains is are you ready to break yours and to be truly free? If you are press the button and seek us where we lead and if you are worthy you too will be a free noble one," Feris read aloud and that's when Adesus noticed a small device on the bed next to the slate.
She picked it up and turned it over in her hands, "It looks like a beacon of some kind," she said looking at the little black rectangle with a large button under a clear flap case and what appeared to be a screen on it, she looked at Feris who simply nodded so she flipped up the cover and pressed the button.
The device gave off a couple of sharp pings and then fell silent while words in a different language from the scratches of the Yautja came up on the screen and it took their translators a few moments to translate them into Velon so they could see the words 'Message sent please wait...' written on the screen in red text.
"How long do you think..." Feris began but the device suddenly began bleeping and they both looked down to see that the text had changed to a set of green numbers.
"It's a star reference," Adesus said quickly taking a picture of it on her wrist computer before the device went blank and silent again.
"Put it back I do believe our invitation has been extended leave it here for the next to follow these footsteps it would not be right to take hope from those who follow," Feris said and Adesus nodded placing the beacon back again.
The pair rapidly climbed down the cliff again and headed quickly back to their ship armed with the co-ordinates but both wondered what they would find at the end of this trail, would it be yet another puzzle or would they find the answers they were yearning for as well as the help that their people needed, only time would tell but for now all they could do was follow and walk the path.
So with that in mind the pair took back to the stars glad that they'd stocked up on jump fuel though Adesus did scoop some from the sun before leaving the system, better to have full tanks for the road ahead though this only filled their thrusters, the co-ordinates were three systems over a total of three jumps, no problems it was time to head on to the next step.
The system they jumped into was filled with a multitude of planets but it appeared that only one had an atmosphere and no sooner had they gotten closer to it than they received a message with a set of landing co-ordinates though who had sent it was a mystery as there was no sign of any ships or people in the system that their sensors could detect, the pair were being driven crazy by the secrecy and sense of mystery here but like cannoli moths to the flames of a temple the pair could not help but follow the light that the coordinates provided.
The set of co-ordinates told them to land on what appeared to be large open plains of some kind and as they left the ship and walked into the short grass of the open fields Feris saw Adesus's quills bristle and she went on alert.
"We are being watched there is someone out there I can feel their eyes upon us!" she said reaching for her sword turning in a circle as she did and her eyes darting about looking for her perceived foe.
"I'd leave that where it is if I were you, we mean you no harm if the same is true of you," a voice said suddenly from their left and both spun to see...nothing.
"Where are you show yourself!!" Adesus yelled her hand never leaving her sword hilt as her eyes darted about.
"We mean you no harm there is no need for hostility, you followed our path and you sent us a message and we have come as requested, I'm going to come out now do not raise your hands to strike," the deep and resonating voice said and suddenly as if stepping out of the air itself a figure appeared dressed in silver and blue armour that covered them from head to toe.
"Greetings fellow unchained, I do believe we have a lot to talk about, but first please disarm yourselves as I said we mean you no harm," the figure said in the language Feris recognised as Yautja and given their size the profile certainly fit.
Adesus stared at the stranger and her hand never left her sword hilt, Feris knew she had to do something before her Guardian friend started some kind of incident here.
"We seek the Godslayer and the Breaker of Chains can you help us, our need is dire?," Feris said suddenly and the figure's attention snapped to her very sharply.
"Well now we really have something to talk about I think, Seekers form up I think this conversation is going to be somewhat interesting," the figure said and suddenly all around them three more armoured figures appeared out of the air, they were surrounded!
