Chapter 90: Love on the Battlefield.
Feris walked up the ramp of the ship still carrying Lucious tucked under her arm like a stuffed toy and with every step she took she could feel her excitement growing as well as her heartbeat ramping up in her chest.
That's when they ran smack into Verris coming out of the med bay looking at a set of readouts with a look of confusion written all over his face, well that was until he saw them coming the other way.
Verris looked at Lucious then at Ferris, then at his readouts before sighing heavily.
"Please of the love of the Eternal Huntress please remember to set your suits biosensors for privacy mode before removing them, I really don't want to have to burst into your quarters and make this shit any more awkward than it already is," he said before retreating back into his medbay grumbling to himself about people always forgetting medical procedures in the heat of the moment.
Ferris looked down at Lucious who simply looked up at her and shrugged his slender shoulders under her arm before they carried on their way, though it wasn't exactly like Lucious had much of a choice in which direction they were heading what with her carrying him and all.
As she reached her quarters Feris reached out and tapped the door lock panel with her free hand causing it to open with a soft whoosh before she hurried inside and engaged the locking mechanism behind them.
Contrary to the kinda aggressive way she'd been carrying him around Feris very gently placed Lucious down on her bed and knelt down before him so they were at the same height.
"Guess we'd probably put our suits into privacy mode before we cause Verris to have an aneurism and break the door down," ucious chirped with a soft inflexion of embarrassment in his voice.
"Umm yeah I guess," Feris chuckled nervously as she brought up her wrist comp and tried desperately to remember the controls that they'd been taught before embarking on this mission.
For all the fire that had been running through her heart powering her confidence when she'd marched up to Lucious and declared her heart to him now, she found herself literally shaking in her quills with nerves.
Her major worry was either embarrassing herself or worse disappointing him.
Feris had never in a million lifetimes ever imagined that not only would she fall in love with a member of another species but would be so completely blown away by the beauty of him that just looking at him would take her breath away, but now as she glanced up from her controls to the smiling Raptorian boy sat up on her bed she simply couldn't help it, he was truly radiant.
The light from her bedside lamp was bleeding through his feathers from behind him causing a rainbow effect as his feathers shifted gently with his every movement and then there was the light that reflected off his impossibly smooth and shiny scales causing an almost scattering effect that made him look about three or four colours at once.
"What's wrong you're staring, is there something in my feathers?" Lucious asked turning his head to try and look for contaminants in his feathers which caused him to fluff them up to check which only served to make the effect even more pronounced.
"You're gorgeous," Feris breathed as her eyes drank in the living, breathing, smiling, rainbow sat before her.
Lucious seemed to twitch and his feathers ruffled in the truly adorable way he did when he was embarrassed while some of his scales darkened slightly as a blush caused his hot blood to rush below them.
"Why umm err thank you Feris," he chirped softly turning to look right at her before shyly looking away and then back again which caused just about every instinct Feris had to fire up, it was like she had a miniature Raptorian rampaging around in her brain jabbing all of her buttons all at once.
The urge to simply pounce on the innocent-looking Raptorian boy became truly overwhelming which actually scared Feris a little as she had never in her life felt this way about anyone.
The emotion was raw and it was powerful, it was like fire steadily consuming her from within and she couldn't deny it any longer, she needed to touch him, to feel him, to love him the way her heart was screaming at her too.
So slowly she retracted her glove before she reached out and placed a trembling hand on his scaly cheek only to have him close his vibrant eyes and smile as he leaned his head into her touch.
His scales were like polished silk in how exquisitely soft and smooth they were, then there was the airy softness of his feathers that her fingers slid between vanishing into his plumage.
"How are you so handsome Lucious?' Feris breathed as he opened his eyes and looked up at her.
"I've been thinking the same thing about you ever since I set eyes on you Feris, you wouldn't believe how much time I've spent polishing my scales and fluffing my feathers in the hope that you would look my way, I was kinda devastated when I learned that we were gonna end up encased in stealth suits the entire time but somehow you still managed to see me," he said with a soft note of happy contentment in his voice as he gently nuzzled his snout into the palm of her hand.
That's when he took her much larger hand in both of his and began to softly kiss each of her fingers sending an electric pulse down each of her long digits in turn till all of them exploded like fireworks inside of her heart.
"I didn't just see you Lucious I felt you, when Jack connected me to the Great Tree through you I could feel the pure beauty of your soul radiating through me like white fire, it was like you had wrapped your entire soul around me and were using it to try and protect me from the worry of losing the All-Mother, it was the most beautiful thing anyone has ever done for me, even the Great Tree told me to take care of you," she said.
"He really said that?" he asked in surprise and she nodded while smiling at him.
"Oh that makes me so happy Feris because he spoke to me too," he said and Feris cocked her head.
"Oh what did he say to you?' she asked curiously and he smiled warmly.
"He told me to protect you, to care for you and to love you with all that I had because I was destined to guard you," he said.
Feris reached up with her other hand and cupped his other cheek in it holding his entire face in both hands now.
"Does it worry you that a god or goddess has put us on the path to be together, does it make you feel...forced?" she asked with a note of worry creeping into her voice which caused Lucious's oh-so-pretty eyes to snap open and fix onto hers.
He reached up and grabbed both of her hands in his and held them tightly against his scaly cheeks.
"Not even a little bit, on my world some females spend their entire lives looking for a male to add to their pride to make him happy as he makes them only to fail and remain unprided for life, there is no worse fate in my opinion than to go through life without ever feeling the joy of love's sting in your heart, it's even worse if you're a male because given how many females there are to males on my homeworld to not be chosen by a pride is horrific, imagine the pain of walking through your life and seeing all the happy prides all around you and all you have is the burning hope that one day someone will think you worthy enough to pick, it's horrendous," he said closing his eyes as if imagining the pain of the loveless.
But when he opened them again there was a sparkling fire in those violet eyes that made it look like his soul was burning him up from within.
"When I made the journey to Clan Mason I did worry that maybe I would be too different, too alien for any of the other races that made up the Clan to even look at me that way, that not only would I have to live my live as a prideless male but I'd have to live it lightyears away from my home and family, but then I saw it, I saw how love blooms within Clan Mason, hell I saw Seeker Rainbowscale get hunted and caught by a Yautja girl who carried him onto the stage before the entire Clan holding him up like the greatest treasure she had ever seen and I just knew, all I had to was have faith in the Eternal Huntress and the Great Tree, that they would guide me right to the person who needed me the most and whom I was destined to love and to protect, they brought me to you Feris," he said with such joy and pride in his voice that Feris though her heart was going to explode in her chest.
She couldn't help it any longer and she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly against her.
She felt his much shorter arms slide around her neck and move gently in between her soft quills and fur though she felt him hesitate when he felt her quills brushing against his fingertips.
"Don't worry my handsome man those quills don't carry any venom the only ones that do are on my wrists, arms and the backs of my hands where my venom glands are located, all the rest of them are completely harmless," she said softly before she moved around to look into his eyes, that's when he kissed her out of the blue and Feris just melted inside.
His snout pushed forwards to meet hers and their lips pressed together making a soft seal that sent an explosion of tingles rippling outwards across her face as she felt it, but it seemed that Lucious seriously was a battle-hardened soldier under that soft Raptorian boy facade because he really knew when to push his advantage.
Angling his head and snout just right he managed to open her mouth with his own, this allowed him to dart his long thin tongue out of his own mouth and into hers where he rather rapidly managed to coil it around her own tongue.
Feris's entire mind just went blank, it was like someone had rammed a handful of cloud cotton into her skull to fill up the voice where her brain had once occupied because fuck only knew where that was hiding right now.
The taste of his saliva simply sparkled on her tongue like she had a mouth filled with starbursts, the pair of them moved as one now each gripping the other tighter as they pulled into an even deeper kiss.
They both opened their mouths so they could easily interlock their snouts and lower jaws together to form a surprisingly good seal, it was almost like the pair of them had been designed to fit together perfectly like they had been made only for one another.
before she knew it was happening Feris found herself on the bed on her knees with Lucious now laid on his back having been dragged up the bed by her movements, she could feel his stout little legs wrapping around her hips and his long luscious tail coiling around own entraining the pair together.
When they parted from their kiss the pair of them panted into the other's mouth while they gazed deep into each other's eyes.
"I can't fight it any more Lucious, I need you, I need to feel you, to love you the way my whole body, mind and soul are screaming at me too," Feris breathed and the handsome little Raptorian gave her a shy but warm smile.
"Then don't fight it my Alien Rose, take what is offered to you freely and willingly, take all of me because I am yours," he said making her heart bounce like a superball fired out of a cannon.
Feris cocked her head curiously as she looked at her handsome little scaley male.
"Alien rose?" she asked and Lucious gave her a bright smile.
"Did you see the large red, white, black and blue blooming flowers in the middle of the Seeker temple's garden, they were all clustered around a large tree?" he asked and Feris searched her memory for a moment before she remembered marvelling at the intricate and colourful display.
"Yes I remember them," she said and his smile grew wider.
"Those flowers are called roses and are from the human's homeworld of Earth, they were brought to Clan Mason's homeworld by the first human colonists to be brought there by the Clan, those flowers are renowned for their beauty but also their defence mechanism," he said softly.
"What defence mechanism?' Feris asked softly.
"Their spikey thorns that line their stem, seeing you made me think of those flowers, a true beauty who captivates those lucky enough to see her but has her thorns ready to defend her should the unwanted get too close, beautiful and dangerous in equal measure," Lucious said making Feris blush first and then release a very unVelon like squeal as her emotions overcame her.
She lunged forwards and plucked the little Raptorian up off the bed holding him tightly to her body as she buried her snout into his the nape of his neck.
"No one has ever said words so beautiful to me Lucious yet they were the first ones to come to your mind, how can you be so truly perfect?" she said fighting back tears of joy and happiness.
Lucious very gently stroked the back of her head and neck, seemingly delighting in the softness of her quills and fur as he ran his fingers through them much in the same way she had delighted in running her own finger through his feathers.
"I'm not perfect Feris, pretty far from it but when I look at you I see my future and it makes me more determined than I have ever been to be the best version of myself that I can be, the version of me that I hope beyond words would be worthy of you," he said softly right into her pointed ear before he did something truly wonderful, he began to nibble it gently.
The sensations of his soft lips and his small little teeth gently nipping along the sensitive outer edge of her ear send shivers right down Feris's neck and spine making her quills rattle in pleasure as they did.
"Sorry did that hurt?" Lucious asked softly as he obviously hadn't worked out the various quil rattles and their meaning yet but she knew he would in time and it was time that she was more determined than ever to give him.
"Quite the opposite, please don't stop Lucious that feels wonderful," Feris breathed, gasping softly as she felt his warm lips return to the sensitive outer ridge of her pointed ear.
She couldn't stand it any more, she needed that accursed suit off him, she needed to revel in the true beauty of the man who had set up a little nest in her heart and was busy decorating it with all sorts of wonderful things.
"Take it off, I want to see you," she said though it came out as more of a command than a request thanks to the desperation and sexual aggression mixing in her voice.
But thankfully Lucious saw through it and he didn't seem at all put off by the order, if anything he was rather invigorated by it, maybe the females of his own species were this way when they got excited as well?
She released him from her grip so that he could remove his armour and she sat back onto her knees to watch him as he began to unlock the various parts of the stealth armour.
Just like the regular powered armour that members of Clan Mason wore the stealth suit simply retracted into various parts that could be removed from the whole.
The arms retracted into the chest before the waist unlocked from the legs which then retracted down his legs stopping just above his boot-clad feet, this allowed him to remove the whole thing in two complete sections.
Under it, he wore the standard issue thermal suit that they'd all been issued that looked like someone had painted him with matte black latex that really showed off his every muscle and curve.
Feris found her eyes wandering all over the feat of masculine scaled flesh laid before her all while just barely hidden from her view by the covering of black fabric.
He went to reach up behind him to begin unzipping the suit and Feris suddenly found herself lunging forwards and catching hold of his hands startling him somewhat.
He looked at her in confusion, "S-Sorry, didn't mean to startle you but please, let me do it," she said licking her lips.
Lucious smiled and simply turned over so that he was now laid on his front, he smiled at her over his shoulder as he seductively lifted his hips up off the bed and swished his long thick tail about patting her thighs with each swish.
"By all means my alien rose," he purred softly.
Feris reached forwards slowly and gripped the zipper at the base of his neck before very slowly drawing it all the way down his back to the base of his tail.
With each inch that the zipper moved more and more glass smooth scales became revealed to her and the wetter and wetter her mouth became to the point where she had to actually wipe her mouth to prevent herself drooling onto his back.
The urge to lick his back and to just taste this handsome male was becoming so overwhelming that she simply couldn't resist it, so as the zipper hit the root of his tail where it met his back she lowered her head and began to trail kisses down the cleft of his spine.
Lucious gasped and arched his back as her lips and tongue began to move down that little valley.
Feris used this movement to very gently lift him and peel him out of the suit starting at the top and peeling it down to his waist before feeding his tail through and then pulling it down his legs to his surprisingly large feet.
Now the only thing keeping the complete truth of his beauty from her was the somewhat strange underwear that he wore that seemed to have a little bow tied on top of his tail and another at his hip.
With trembling fingers Feris slowly pulled each of the bows loose causing the thong-like underwear to fall away under him which she could easily then pull free, this was it he was as naked as the day he was born.
"Turn over, let me see you," Feris said in that commanding voice again and slowly and teasingly Lucious obeyed.
Her mouth was practically watering as she turned over onto his back and stretched himself out in a very seductive pose that really showed off his masculine form.
"By the great all mother you are handsome," she breathed as she ran her eyes over his naked body, running from his powerful calves, up over his thick and stout thighs onto his trim waist.
Before climbing the ladder of his bunched and strong-looking abdominal muscles until she finally reached his slender neck which flowed into his exotic and handsome face.
He gave his feathers a pleased ruffle as she smiled up at her from the bed and the pillow laid beneath him.
"Thank you my alien rose I was worried that I would disappoint you given how small I am compared to one of your kind," he said softly and in such a voice of worry that his words caused Feris the lean forwards to grip his chin.
"You listen to me my scaly knight, size does not matter in the slightest, you may be small in form but your heart and your will are bigger than anyone I've ever met before, to me you are perfect in every way and anyone who says different will face my wrath such as it is," she said before planting a deep and lingering kiss upon his lips.
When they broke Lucious had tears forming in his eyes, "No one has ever said such kind things to me, thank you Feris," he said and now it was her turn to wave him off.
"You never have to thank me for speaking the truth Lucious, now I do believe I have tormented you enough, it's time for your reward," she said and with that, she stood back up at the side of the bed and began to strip for him.
Lucious's eyes went as large as violet dinner plates as he watched her shedding piece after piece of her armour until she was left with only the undersuit, then she turned her back to him and gave him a sly smile over her shoulder as she unzipped it and began to shimmy her way out of it.
She had no idea if her methods were seductive or not but she truly hoped so, she had always been completely hopeless when it came to males, half the time she'd barely understood how the hell to talk to them let alone where to begin on seducing one but right now as she watched Lucious's reactions she kinda felt like a spiky goddess.
It was an incredibly warm and pleasant feeling being the object of another's desire, one that flushed her whole body and made her quills rattle as she freed them from their fabric prison below the specially designed suit.

"We Raptorian boys have a few tricks up our sleeves as the humans like to say and we know how to take care of our pride and you my not-so-little alien rose are my pride now and I will never let you down, you are loved and cared for from this day until I draw my last breath and we meet again in the golden garden," he said stroking her face.
His words made her very heart and soul sing with a joy she had never imagined in her life, "Make love to me Lucious, please, I need you so badly my male," she said sounding desperate but she didn't care, with this beautiful man she didn't have to hide a single facet of herself, she knew that now.
"I was hoping you'd say that," he said softly before kissing his way back down her body a bit and for a moment she wondered what he was doing until she realised that due to their rather large height difference, he had to lower himself down her body to align properly with her.
