To my readers-I decided that instead of making 2 huge volumes of A Ketchum's journey, I decided to make them into 4 separate volumes. Volume 1 will contain the Kanto and Johto regions, Volume 2 will contain Hoenn and Sinnoh regions, Volume 3 will contain Unova and Kalos regions, last but not least, Volume 4 will contain Alola and Galar regions. I want each and every one of you to know that if you personally don't like the way I'm writing the fanfic, then you don't have to read it. I will not reach through my laptop to force you to read any fandoms that I write for because you can probably find a lot better fanfics in those fandoms over mine. Narrator, nodding in agreement: But for now, our heroes march happily along. Well, most of them.
"I'm not happy." whined May.
"Oh, come on, May." said Ash. "We just finished taking a break."
"Pika." said Pikachu.
"Yeah, so stop whining." said Hayley.
"Riol." said Meeko.
"I wouldn't call that a break." May said, falling to her knees.
"All right, guess we'll just have to take another one, then." said Ash.
"Look!" Max said as he found something on his PokéNav. "There's a Pokémon Center just ahead."
"Oh!" gasped Brock.
"Riolu…." Meeko said to Hayley.
"I don't like the look in his eyes either, Meeko." said Hayley.
"There is? Really?" May asked, quickly standing up.
"In that case, May, off we go, then." said Brock.
"Let go. You're hurting my arm." said May, pulling her arm back and falls into a tree. "Whoa! What's that?" She then takes a closer look. "There's something weird sticking out of this tree."
"Yeah, you're right." said Ash.
"Wonder what it is." said Brock.
"Why is it poking out of the tree at that angle?" asked Hayley as Meeko tilts her head.
"Pika-Pika." said Pikachu, noticing cut up bark on the trees.
"Something sure happened here." said May.
"Olu, Olu! Riolu?" said Meeko.
"Maybe a Pokémon battle?" questioned Max.
"I guess." said Ash.
"I don't think so." said Hayley.
"But who'd use this in a Pokémon battle?" asked Ash, looking at what he took out of the tree.
"Hello?" May asked once they arrived at the Pokémon center.
"Welcome to my Pokémon center." said Nurse Joy.
"Nurse Joy!" exclaimed Brock and was then pushed to the side by May. "Ugh!"
"Hey, there. Did they transfer you from Oldale town, Nurse Joy?" May asked.
"Huh?"
"May, remember?" she asked. "You really helped us all out at the Pokémon center back there."
"Well, I don't see how that's possible, since I've never seen any of you before." Nurse Joy tells her.
"Never? But you're Nurse Joy, right?" May asked again.
"Right, but the Nurse Joy you know in Oldale Town is my older sister." explained Nurse Joy.
"Really?" asked May.
"Cross my heart." she said.
"Do you want to explain it to her or should I?" Hayley asked Max, then points to Brock. "Cause Meeko and I have to deal with him."
"Riol." said Meeko.
"So not fair." said Brock, crying his heart out. "I didn't even get a chance to talk to her this time."
"I'll explain it." Max said to Hayley. "Hey, May, look."
"Quit your crying, you big baby." said Hayley, patting Brock on the back.
"Olu." said Meeko.
"What, Max?" she asked, and he shows her.
"Check it out." he said, handing her the book. May takes a look and then gasps.
"A bunch of Nurse Joys." said May, looking at the picture.
"Every Pokémon center in the country is run by a Nurse Joy, and they all look exactly alike." explained Max.
"Please!" said Brock, gaining their attention. "You're so naïve. Nurse Joy's uniqueness is easily seen."
"Oh!"
"It's completely obvious." said Brock, taking Nurse Joy's hands. "I can tell the difference. Your bangs are a millimeter longer."
"Huh?" she asked.
"Awesome. Brock, you're amazing." Ash complimented him.
"Pika." added Pikachu.
"You're something else." said Max.
"He's something else, all right." said May.
"Just wait until he meets and does Officer Jenny." said Hayley.
"Riolu." said Meeko, causing Hayley to laugh.
"Oh, yeah…I forgot about that." said Ash, remembering what Brock did at the Indigo League.
"Nurse Joy!" said Officer Jenny as she walks in with Growlithe.
"Well, look who it is. Officer Jenny." said Nurse Joy.
"Three, two, one!" said Hayley and points to Brock.
"Not you too!" said Brock, falling head over heels for Officer Jenny. "Ah, well, hello, there. I see your eyelashes are one tenth of an inch longer than any other Jenny in the country."
"They are? They are!" said Officer Jenny.
"Wow, Hayley, you called it." said Max.
"That's because we know Brock. He'll fall in love with any Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny that appears in front of him." Hayley explained.
"Riol, Riol." said Meeko.
"I wish she was here too." said Hayley.
"Don't tell me." May said to her brother. "There's a bunch of Officer Jennys too."
"Yup. You got it." said Max, showing his sister a picture of Officer Jenny.
"I told you not to tell me." groaned May.
"But I can tell the difference, and I'll tell you how." said Brock.
"Oh, no." grumbled Hayley. "It's the indigo league all over again."
"Riolu, Riolu." Meeko grumbled with her.
"Anyway, Nurse Joy, I need to find out if any injured Pokémon have been brought to your center recently." Officer Jenny said, ignoring Brock.
"Why, no." Nurse Joy said. "But why do you ask?"
"There have been a few reports of a poacher operating right in this area." Officer Jenny clarified.
"A poacher?" questioned the quintet.
"Based on his methods, I would guess it's this Pokémon hunter, Rico." said Officer Jenny, showing them a wanted picture of the poacher. "He thinks nothing of injuring Pokémon in order to catch them."
"It's better than what Team Rocket had." Hayley stated.
"They had a wanted poster?" asked May.
"Yeah, only this poacher takes a better-looking picture." said Hayley.
"Look what we found." Ash said, showing Officer Jenny.
"Oh, dear." she said, taking the item from Ash. "It's part of a capture net that's commonly used by poachers. Where did you find it?"
"We found it in the forest on our way here." said Ash.
"It was placed at an angle that could've hurt May." said Hayley.
"You've got to show me where." said Officer Jenny.
Far from the Pokémon center, Jessie starts chuckling. "So the twerps ducked into a Pokémon center. Good." she said, removing the binoculars from her eyes.
"Now it's time to set a trap, right?" asked James.
"But what kind?" asked Jessie.
"How about our tried-and-true pit fall?" questioned James.
"Um, hey, no!" said Meowth, joining the conversation. "Can't we be more original?"
"So you've got a better idea?" asked Jessie.
"Look, we're working on climbing the corporate ladder, right?" Meowth asked Jessie. "So, therefore, we got to start thinking of more creative, inspired things than digging holes."
Unknown to Meowth, he didn't watch where he was going and slides downhill. "Ah!" screamed Meowth.
"Ah!" gasped Jessie.
"Meowth!" James cried out.
"Meooooooow!" said Meowth, tumbling down the rocky hill until he came to a stop. Lifting up his head, Meowth groans and grasps where his nose should be. "Huh?"
Meowth looks up and sees a cage with a camouflage tarp on it. "Hey, that's weird." said Meowth, hearing hissing coming from it. "Something's inside of there."
He then pulls the tarp away and sees a group of Ekans inside. "Ekans." gasped Meowth. "A cage full of 'em."
"Ekans. Ekans."
"What are you guys doing in there?" asked Meowth.
"Ekans." two of the Ekans said to Meowth.
"What?" Meowth said, shocked. "You're telling me you were captured by some poachers?"
"Ekans." they said, nodding.
"Hey, I'm gonna get yous out." said Meowth. Just as he touched the cage, Meowth felt an electric shock and screamed. "Man, that hurt." he said as Meowth stepped back.
"Hey, Meowth!" Jessie and James called out as they followed him.
"Here we come. Stand by." said Jessie.
"Pokémon Express." said James.
"Oh, I get it." said Jessie as she and James arrived at the cage.
"Those poor Ekans were pilfered by some lowly poachers." said James.
"Ekans. Ekans." they all said as it started to pull at Arbok's heartstrings.
"And they've been zapped pretty badly from the electricity in that cage." Meowth tells them.
"Of all the amateurish poaching antics." said Jessie. "What kind of idiots would injure their own Pokémon?"
"Sickening." James said. "If that's not bad enough, they leave the cage right here in the open."
"You know, we could take these Ekans for ourselves." suggested Meowth.
"I like you're thinking." Jessie told Meowth.
"Yes, our first catch in the Hoenn Region without breaking a sweat." added James.
"So, Arbok, use Acid." said Jessie.
Arbok couldn't do it. It gazed sadly at its pre-evolved form in a cage. "Hey, Arbok, what has gotten into you?" Jessie asked.
"Chabok!" it said to Jessie.
"I know what." said James.
"Arbok used to be an Ekans before it evolved." Meowth reminded Jessie.
"And it doesn't want them to be hurt any worse." said James, looking back at the cage.
"Ekans, Ekans." they all said in agreement.
"Oh, dear Arbok, we won't harm a scale on your friends' slippery heads." Jessie promised Arbok. "I promise."
"Chabok?" asked Arbok.
"Cross my heart. On my Team Rocket honor." said Jessie.
"Chaaaaaa!" Arbok yelled happily, knowing that its friends would be free.
"Jess, what honor?" James questioned.
"Yeah, what do you got up that sleeve, anyway?" asked Meowth.
"We're sitting on an Ekans gold mine." Jessie tells them. "We'll create the biggest, baddest Ekans army this world has ever seen."
"But they'd have to eat." said James.
"Feeding those guys'll break the bank." said Meowth as he did the math.
"You two will just have to cut back on a few meals." said Jessie, smirking as the boys screamed.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet chimed in.
"Now, Arbok! Acid!" said Jessie.
"Cha!" shouted Arbok, releasing Acid onto the cage, but it didn't break at all. Team Rocket gasped at this.
"It didn't do a thing." said Meowth.
"So watch and learn." said James. "Weezing, use Sludge attack now!"
"Weezing! Weezing!" said Weezing, about to use Sludge when suddenly a Fearow appears from above, knocking it back. "Weezing!"
"Row!" cawed Fearow when suddenly, a vehicle was approaching.
"All right you clowns. Who do you think you are, messing with my property?" Rico, the poacher asked.
"Prepare for trouble. Finders, keepers. Losers, weepers." said Jessie.
"We're Team Rocket, so make it double. Jeepers, creepers." said James.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" said Jessie.
"Surrender those Ekans or prepare to fight!" said James.
"Meowth, that's right!" said Meowth.
"Wobbuffet!" shouted Wobbuffet.
"Let's try this again." said Rico, unimpressed by Team Rocket's motto. "What do you think you're doing with my Pokémon?"
"Stealing them, of course." said Jessie.
"We're creating the world's largest Ekans army." added James.
"Weezing!" said Weezing, seeing what was in the other cage. "Weez."
"Huh." said Rico, looking over his shoulder. "You don't know who you're dealing with."
"Koffing. Koffing." cried the group of Koffing that were now inside the cage, causing Team Rocket to exclaim.
"He also got a cage load of Koffing." said Meowth.
"I'm Rico. I'm a Pokémon hunter." Rico said to Team Rocket. "Per my client's wishes, I'm poaching as many Poison Pokémon as I can
"You're off to a good start, Rico." said James.
"That's why you caught Ekans and Koffing." said Meowth.
"And here you come waltzing in, trying to poach from a poacher?" asked Rico. "I'll go easy on you jokers, though. Just give me your Arbok and Weezing, and I'll let you go in one piece."
"The nerve!" said Jessie.
"You want our Pokémon?" asked James.
"That's what I said." Rico tells them. "There's an extra bonus in it for me for every evolved Pokémon I can catch."
"Catch them elsewhere." said Jessie. "Arbok and I have been together too long for me to give it to you, buster."
"And Weezing and I are like brothers." added James.
"Fine. So be it." Rico said, glaring at Team Rocket. "Then I guess I'll have to be taking them."
"Yeah? Fat chance." Jessie said.
"Just try it." said James.
"Now it's you not knowing who you're dealing with." said Meowth.
"Weezing!"
"Sss-Bok!"
"Fearow, go. Agility." said Rico, while Fearow squawks as it uses Agility.
"Poison Sting, Arbok." said Jessie.
"Cha!" Arbok said, releasing its Poison Sting.
"Weezing, Sludge attack. Go!" said James.
"Weezing!" said Weezing, releasing Sludge from its mouth.
"Dodge and use Fury." said Rico.
Fearow dodges and strikes them both in anger. "Weezing!" said Weezing as it and Arbok felt Fearow's Fury. "Weezing."
Team Rocket screamed and moaned as their Pokémon were knocked into them. "What happened?" asked Meowth.
"Now, Fearow, Drill Peck." said Rico.
"Arbok, Warp attack now." said Jessie.
"Sss-Ar!" hissed Arbok as it wraps itself around Fearow's beak, muffling its squawk.
"And that's a wrap." said Jessie.
"Fearow, return." said Rico, calling back his Pokémon.
"Hey, that's not fair." said Meowth.
"Go, Pupitar, Sandstorm." said Rico.
"Pupitar." it said, shaking its body to release sand. A spiral of sand heads toward Team Rocket, lifting them up into the air.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" shouted Team Rocket.
"Wobbuffet!" shouted Wobbuffet.
"Pupitar." said Pupitar.
"Ha!" said Rico. "Those Pokémon were so weak; it wasn't even worth catching them."
"Ekans, Ekans."
"Koffing. Koffing. Koff."
"We found it right here." said May.
"Poachers use capture nets to immobilize Pokémon before they catch them." Officer Jenny explained.
"Wonder if it hurts them." said Ash.
"If it does, then I need one to immobilize you." said Hayley.
"Hey, look at that." said Max, seeing something behind Officer Jenny.
"Huh?"
"Tire tracks." Max said as they looked at the ground.
"The poachers must be traveling by car." said Officer Jenny. "They're still fresh."
"They couldn't have gotten very far from here." said Brock.
"We'll search from the sky." said Ash.
"And free the Pokémon." said Hayley.
"Pika. Riol." said Pikachu and Meeko.
"Oh, my aching tail." said Meowth. "There's nothing more painful than landing on your tailbone."
"I really hate men like that." said Jessie. "I'm gonna tear him and his overblown ego limb from limb!"
"If he was a real tough guy, he wouldn't have to hide behind his Pupitar. This calls for a classic Team Rocket sting operation." said James. "I wonder if we find the twerps, baby twerp and Meeko would help us out."
"Wobbuff…" said Wobbuffet when suddenly they heard something.
"Hmm?" they asked, turning around to the sound. Team Rocket looked up to see Beedrill and Kakuna in front of them.
"What's going on here?" Jessie asked. "This is not the kind of sting operation we meant."
"Beedrill!" said the Beedrill as they headed for Team Rocket.
"We'll show ourselves out." said Team Rocket as they ran away.
"Weezing!" said Weezing with it, Arbok and Wobbuffet following suit.
"Cac. Cac. Cac." said a cactus like Pokémon as it walks out onto the road. "Cacnea!"
"Out of the way, you little pincushion." Jessie called out to Cacnea.
"We're about to become one ourselves!" said James.
"So scram!" said Meowth.
"Cac?" asked Cacnea, shocked that Team Rocket was running towards it and prepares to attack. "Cacnea!" Cacnea uses Pin Missile on Beedrill, causing an explosion and knocking them back. Team Rocket gasps at such power as Beedrill retreats back into the forest.
"Hmm."
"That was close." said Meowth as he and the others watched the Beedrill fly away.
"Cac." Cacnea said as it hops over to Team Rocket.
"Huh?"
"Cacnea. Cac." it said to Team Rocket.
"Hey, it's a Cacnea." said Meowth.
"Gee, thanks." said James, grateful of the little Pokémon. "You really saved our skin."
"I say we head the poacher off now and get the Ekans and Koffing." suggested Jessie.
"Head him off where, Jess?" asked James. "He's gone by now."
"Yeah. Guess you're right." sighed Jessie.
"Sss-Bok!" Arbok said to Jessie, then lowers its body to the ground. "Sss-Bok."
"What is it doing, Meowth?" Jessie asked.
"Arbok can pick up on sound waves in the earth and tell us where that wily poacher's gone." said Meowth.
"Well…." said Jessie, proud of Arbok.
"Cac, Cac, Cac." said Cacnea.
"Oh, yes, we havent properly thanked you." James said to Cacnea, then held a bag of Pokémon snacks in his hand. "A token of our gratitude."
"Cacnea." said Cacnea, taking the bag from James. "Cac-Cac."
"Sss-Bok. Sss-Bok!" said Arbok.
"Hey, Arbok just said that it heard a car." said Meowth.
"Good. I'm sure it's that poacher." said Jessie.
"Uh, toodle-oo!" James said to Cacnea, then takes off after Jessie, Meowth and their Pokémon.
"Cacnea." said Cacnea, hoping that it would see James again.
In the sky, Taillow was on the lookout for Rico. "Taillow!" it said, spotting Rico's truck and the caged Pokémon. "Taillow! Taillow!"
The quintet and Officer Jenny looked up at Taillow, who was now circling above them.
"Huh?"
"Taillow, did you see the poacher yet?" asked Ash.
"Taillow! Taillow! Taillow!" Taillow tells him.
"Then take us to him right away." said Officer Jenny.
"Huh?" Rico said, seeing a dirt explosion in front of him.
"Sss-Bok!" Arbok hissed angrily at Rico as it glared at him.
"Huh. You must be the same Arbok." said Rico. "You saved me some trouble. Huh! Now don't you move."
"Weezing!" Weezing said, releasing its smokescreen. "Weez! Weezing!"
"Hello." said Jessie.
"Do you remember us?" asked James.
"Ekans."
"Koffing."
"You bet." said Rico, seeing Team Rocket again. "Now, Fearow, blow that Smoke Screen away."
Fearow starts flapping its wings, clearing away the smoke screen away from the cage, revealing Meowth using his nails while getting electrified. "How dare you?" questioned Rico.
"Fear." squawked Fearow.
"This electricity is nothing compared to Pikachu's Thunderbolt attacks I'm used to." cackled Meowth.
"Koffing. Ekans. Koffing. Ekans." said Koffing and Ekans, seeing how strong Meowth was.
"Fearow, use your Drill Peck on Meowth." said Rico.
"Fearow!" it said, taking off to the sky.
"Go, Arbok. Headbutt." said Jessie.
"Chaaaa!" shouted Arbok as it Headbutts Fearow in the head, knocking it back against the cage, causing it to feel the electricity.
"No! Fearow!" Rico cried out.
"Just shocking, isn't it?" asked Jessie.
"You bad poacher man, you." said James.
Fearow groans as it passes out onto the ground while Meowth continued on getting Koffing and Ekans out. Finally, the door unlocks and opens. "All right, guys. Out of the cage quick." Meowth tells them and they all left the cage.
"No, you don't." said Rico, holding a net in his hand.
"Arbok!" shouted Jessie.
"Weezing!" shouted James.
"Weezing!" wheezed Weezing as it released Sludge and Arbok used Poison Sting.
"Ah!" screamed Rico as both attacks hit him, causing the poacher to drop his weapon.
"You've poached your last Pokémon, pally." said James as Jessie laughed at the man.
"And now these Ekans and Koffing will be coming with us." said Meowth.
"You've done it now." said Rico. "I'm so angry. You've left me no choice! Go! Pupitar!"
"Pupitar."
Suddenly, light surrounds Pupitar's body, causing James to gasp. "Oh, no!" said Jessie.
"It can't be." said Meowth.
Rico starts chuckling as his Pupitar evolved into Tyranitar. "Perfect. I knew it was ready to evolve." he said, smiling as Tyranitar roared.
"Pupitar…." Meowth started to say.
"Evolved to Tyranitar!" said Jessie and James in fear.
"Wobbu….ffet!" said Wobbuffet.
"Wow, that's a big one." said Meowth.
"Big deal." said Jessie.
"Now, Weezing. Smoke Screen!" said James.
"Weezing!" said Weezing, releasing Smoke Screen. Both Tyranitar and Rico were coughing as they breathed it in.
"That showed him." said Jessie.
"Now run for it." Meowth said to Ekans and Koffing, who nodded in understanding.
"No, you don't." said Rico, hoping that both Pokémon wouldn't escape. "Tyranitar, Hyper Beam."
Tyranitar roars as it starts using Hyper Beam, firing at the ground in front of Ekans and Koffing. "Glad you decided to stay." said Rico, as Team Rocket gasps. "I'll be taking back my Ekans and Koffing, along with all your Pokémon."
"I know just how to handle men like this." said Jessie.
"Tell me, please." begged James.
"A simple Hyper Beam or two ought to teach him a lesson quick." explained Jessie. "Okay, Wobbuffet, go."
"Oh, yeah." said James, remembering what Wobbuffet could do.
"Better yet, you could use Counter Attack." said Meowth.
"Wo…bbuffet." Wobbuffet said, saluting.
"Hyper Beam." said Rico.
"Wobbuf…." Wobbuffet said, as Tyranitar aimed its Hyper Beam at it, but was unprepared to use Counter. Team Rocket screams as Wobbuffet was knocked towards them.
"Wo…." it said, passed out on the ground. "Wobbuffet."
"Wobbuffet!" Jessie called out.
"Looks like its Counter attack failed." said James.
"That Hyper Beam came so fast, it didn't even have time to do one." said Meowth.
Just then, Tyranitar prepares another round of its Hyper Beam, causing Team Rocket to scream in terror. In the distance, there was an explosion. "Hey, what was that?" Ash asked, see the black cloud appear above the trees.
"I bet it's the poacher again." said Max.
"It's the poacher. I feel it." said Hayley.
"Riol." said Meeko.
"Let's head over in that direction." said Brock.
"Right." said Officer Jenny. Trees were knocked over as Team Rocket looked at the holes in front of them.
"You fools. This wouldn't have happened if you'd handed over your Pokémon nicely." said Rico. "But now it's too late for that, so I'm going to take those Pokémon and destroy you."
"Weezing. Ekans. Sss-Bok."
Team Rocket looked at each other and knew what they had to do. "Mm." they said, nodding at each other.
"Now, Arbok, take your friends and get out of here." said Jessie.
"Right. You too, Weezing." added James.
"Weezing?" Weezing asked, confused with Arbok.
"We know you're strong, but you're not match for Tyranitar." Jessie explained to Arbok.
"Sss-Bok. Sss-Bok!" Arbok said, shaking its head, not wanting to leave Team Rocket.
"Weezing, Weezing." Weezing said, agreeing with Arbok.
"Listen. You're better safe than sorry." said James. "Truth is, we just care too much to allow you to be captured by someone like him, see?"
"Besides, all of those other Ekans and Koffing need you to help them right now." Jessie tells them.
"Sss-Bok." Arbok said to Ekans and Koffing.
"Weezing." said Weezing.
"Now go." said Jessie.
"We're able to take care of ourselves." said James.
"So yous guys get out of here and don't you look back." said Meowth.
"Sss. Sss-Bok!" said Arbok.
"Weezing." Weezing said.
"Sss-Bok."
"Sss-Bok! Weezing, Weez." they pleaded with Jessie and James.
"Why drag this thing out any more?" Jessie asked.
"Just leave now." said James.
Both Arbok and Weezing moaned at this, they were making the hardest decision in their entire lives. "Sss-Bok. Sss-Bok." Arbok said to Weezing.
"Weezing." it replied to its friend. Both of them took their pre-evolved forms and took off, never looking back at Team Rocket.
"Idiots." said Rico.
"Huh?"
"They're not going anywhere." he said to Team Rocket. "Tyranitar, Hyper Beam."
"Fury Swipes!" shouted Meowth as Tyranitar powers up its Hyper Beam, scratching its face. "Hi-yah! And that's the name of that tune. Huh? No!"
"Wee…Sss-bok?" asked Weezing and Arbok, looking at Team Rocket.
"Don't look back." James tells them.
"Keep going." said Jessie as Tyranitar roared even angrier.
"It's time for more Fury Swipes." said Meowth, extending his claws.
"Try my Fury Swipes." said Jessie, joining Meowth.
"And try mine as well." added James. Arbok, Weezing, Ekans and Koffing all watched as Team Rocket protected them. Both Pokémon were sad, seeing their now former trainers and friend get beat up by Tyranitar as they continued without looking back.
"Tyranitar, return." said Rico. "These three are more trouble than they're worth. At least those Pokémon are mine."
Just as he was about to go after them, Rico was stopped by Team Rocket. "We're not through!" said James.
"This aint over yet." said Meowth.
"We'll show you!" said Jessie. "There's still fight in us."
"Hmm. Oh, yeah?" Rico asked, smirking.
"Oh!"
"Come back here." Jessie called out.
"Big bully!" said James.
"Furry Swipes." Meowth said weakly as Rico walks away from them. Deep in the forest, Rico had once again looked for Koffing and Ekans.
"Now, where did they go?" he asked himself. "When I find…"
"Growl!" barked Growlithe, spotting Rico.
"Huh?"
"So, you're Rico, the Pokémon hunter." said Officer Jenny. "You're under arrest for Pokémon Poaching."
"Is that so, Officer?" Rico taunted her. "Go, Fearow!"
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt." said Ash.
"Pika-Pika…..chuuuuuuuuu!" shouted Pikachu, sending his Thunderbolt at Fearow.
"What? Fearow, no!" cried Rico. "Then I'll use Tyranitar."
"Growlithe, seize all of his Pokéballs now!" ordered Officer Jenny.
"Growl!" howled Growlithe as it takes all of Rico's Pokéballs.
"All right!" Max said in awe.
"Bull's-eye!" said Brock.
"Now, Rico, release all of the Pokémon that you've caught." said Officer Jenny.
"You're a little late, officer." he said. "They all escaped thanks to a bunch of fools."
"Huh?"
"Was that the explosion?" asked Ash.
"Then it must have been the people who saved the Pokémon, right?" asked May.
"Yeah, with all the bad people like Team Rocket around, it's nice to know there are good people too." said Ash.
"Pikachu."
"Well, whoever freed those Pokémon, I'm proud of them." said Jordan.
"Riolu."
As the suns was setting around the forest, Team Rocket hung their heads as they walked, groaning. "Do you really think Arbok and Weezing will be all right, Jessie?" James asked her.
"I hope so." she replied.
"Don't worry, guys." said Meowth. "They're as tough as nails from all that battling with Pikachu and Meeko, right? I know they'll be just fine."
"I suppose." said Jessie.
"Right." added James.
"Cac. Cac." said Cacnea, hopping towards James.
"Huh?"
"Cacnea. Cac?" asked Cacnea.
"Look who it is." said Jessie.
"It's that same Cacnea." said Meowth.
"Have you been following us all this time?" James asked.
"Cac." it said, handing James the bag.
"Hey, it's okay." said James, then takes out what was in the bag. "I gave this to you. You should go ahead and eat it."
"Cacnea." Cacnea said, taking it from James.
"It's really quite good." James said.
"Cacnea?" asked Cacnea, then takes a bite. "Cac. Cac. Cacnea! Cac!"
"Look." Jessie said, seeing Cacnea's smile.
"That Cacnea is kind of cute." said Meowth.
"Cacnea, if you like, you can come along and travel with us." offered James. "What do you say, huh?"
"Cacnea! Cacnea! Cac!"
"Whaaa! We got a Cacnea." said James. Just then, Cacnea accidentally pokes James with its spikes. "Oh! Aaaaaaaaaah!"
Narrator: Saying good-bye to Arbok and Weezing was difficult for Jessie and James.
Hayley: Who will be getting a hug from me and Meeko. We feel bad that they had to let them go.
Meeko: Riolu.
Narrator: That's nice of you two.
Hayley: Thanks.
