Peeta and Katniss have a one night stand after hearing about the Quarter Quell, the bombshell Peeta announced at the 75th Hunger Games Interviews came true. Peeta returns from the Capitol hijacked, unaware that the child Katniss is growing is his own. This is a story of how Peeta overcomes his hijacking to grow back to Katniss and their baby. After the rebellion, Haymitch settles into a life not truly worth living. When he and Katniss decide to take a trip to the other side of the district, they witness something that permanently alters their world. Effie Trinket, just another Capitol puppet. The Quarter Quell begins and it suddenly shows that Effie isn't as obsessed with the Capitol as it seemed. The revolution gets going and Effie, who came closer to Haymitch than she would have ever expected, has to figure out where her loyalties lie. And her time is running out.

Sequel to "The Hunger Games: A Different Tribute". Nikki and Peeta, newly married, have to adjust to their new lives together and their return to the Capital. When Nikki and Haymitch get reaped, Peeta must step up to be their mentor without letting his feelings get in the way. An unexpected announcement, to get the games cancelled, stirs the hornets nest leading to a intense fight.
