Ch 2 Mail Order

Kreacher appearated Regulus and himself to a town outside of Sirius' flat. Regulus heard James' parents succumbed to Dragon Pox and James and Sirius were excused from school for 5 days. He heard that before he himself went home on for Bellatrix' wedding for 2 days, then went to the cave to destroy the locket, which led him here. First Regulus had Kreacher retrieve the locket from Grimmauld Place. "Tell no one you are freed. If mum gives you an order, pretend to do it. But just grab the locket and come back to me."

Kreacher put Regulus under an invisible spell and appeareated away to get the locket. Meanwhile Regulus sat on a bench, invisible. A muggleborn witch sat on him and screamed bloody murder. Regulus laughed but people pasing by ignored her when they didn't see anything but her hitting air.

A few minutes later Kreacher appeared with the locket. The atmosphere darkened more than the heavy feeling on Regulus' chest about seeing Siriua again, but they trekked on. Kreacher kept the locket in a shruken bag and went to Gringott, invisible.

They stood in front of the teller at Gringotts, asking her not to alert anyone because they were on the run from voldemort. They didn't say his name becuse of the trace. They asked the teller to get security. She did and the security stood in front of the teller desk, groping for Regulus plus Kreacher. Once the goblins found them, they grabbed the invisible wizard plus house elf then floated toward the back room. "Don't try anything, you can't see it, but we're armed to the teeth," the head goblin teller warned.

Once they were in the wizard and elf revealed themselves. The goblins didn't take sides in the war so their Regulus' privacy was honored. "But we would appreciate it if you wore robes or anything more than just your knickers Mr. Black," Ripclaw said, politely. "Kreacher might as well lend you a loin cloth or pillow case." Regulus blushed, and promised to wear clothes.

Regulus noticed Uncle Articurus didn't remove Regulus' name from the account so it seems Bellatrix' tantrum changed his mind.

Regulus asked his personal banking assistant about Lord Black and was told Lord Black aligned himself with the numeral Greengrasses. Lord Black also warned thr Lestranges, Malfoys, and other dark families not to harm his heir, 2nd in line, or his family the Tonks. Lord Black didn't care about the dark families' master, if they harmed his family it wouldn't bode well for those families. Lord Black outright avoided addressing Voldemort.

Regulus took a sizable chunk or three of gold from the vault, in awe that his uncle became neutral for them. He wondered how Sirius or Andy would react to this. Regulus realized with a sinking feeling that he didn't know how big Andy's daughter was now. He'd have to visit her if the order didn't burn him at the stake.

Kreacher kept all the gold in another shrunken bag.

Next they went to the muggle town that Sirius stayed in. Regulus booked a room a fake name and went inside with an invisible Kreacher. They found Sirius' address because of Narcissa. Both cousins never told Bellatrix and voldemort assumed Regalus didn't know where Sirius was. Regulus was happy to let him assume that.

If he had to warn Sirius before voldemort found out he would. Luckily Regalus went to the cave before that happened.

Now Regalus would warn Sirius about that while coming face to face with Sirius in 5 years. And Regalus will break the ice by mailing g himself to Sirius in his knickers, that was the best way to get Sirius to listen to him.

So he had Kreacher has a feather light spell on him, after he got in a box, then tie his box to an owl. The things he did trying to survive as a Black or gain the trust of an estranged Black.

Sirius was back from the Potters' house, staying there with James for 4 days. He also just found out James proposed to Lily a week ago, James didn'thave time to tell Sirius after his parents' succumbed to Dragon Pox m.

They would get married after they graduated this year. They were out of school for 5 days because James' parents succomed to Dragon Pox. Now he had to find the perfect gift for his brother in all but blood. He was thinking of a broom candle holder, a purple gold snitch ring He was shaken out of his reverie by an owl knocking at his window, holding a huge box.

Sirius opened the window and let the owl in past his wards. He took the box from the owl and checked it for many dark spells. When he found none, he opened the box and his half naked younger brother fell out. And said brother's wet hair got his floor wet.

Sirius cursed for a minute straight. Regulus held his wand out, even threw it across the room, " before you call the aurors, I can take vertiserum. I abandonded you-know-who, I'm on the run! You can do whatever you want to me but if you call Moody, you-know-who will kill me before he does."

"You have 10 seconds to tell me where your friends are death eater," was all Sirius managed to get out. "Is this an ambush?" He sent a patronous to Dumbeldore and the Order.

"Just Kreacher, I freed him. I got something dear to you-know-who. Call the Order, and Kreacher will show them what we have. We'll take vertiserum. "

"If this is a trap, I'll kill you then revive you to kill you again," Sirius promised.

"Still bettter than torture by Moody or you-know-who," Regulus held up vertiserum and drank it just as Dumbledore entered Sirius' apartment.

Dumbeldore took Regulus back through the fireplace. Regulus had finished drinking the vertiserum as the fireplace turned green. And he started talking as Dumbeldore pulled him through the fireplace on the left end, without being prompted.

At the Order headquarters Regalus was in the ministry chair, chained by shackles. Moody stole that chair from the fallen ministry, under voldemort.

Regulus was given a whole vial of vertiserum and questioned for three hours. Kreacher was also called in by Regulus and contained. He was also questioned under vertiserum. The Order and Sirius has no reason to doubt them.

Dumbledore examined the locket. "Regulus is right, you-know-who was looking for horocruxes before he left school. His name was Tom RiddleJr, he asked Horace for horocruxes before he left Hogwarts. Then he became voldemort after he left Hogwarts."

There was pin drop silence in the room with the few members allowed to hear the entire truth: Sirius, James, Andromeda, Moody, and Marlene All of them were already targets so they had nothing to lose hearing this information.

But they couldn't tell anyone else Regulus was innocent and with them. And that the horocrux was stored in a safe place.

Sirius went through an emotional Rollercoaster but James told Regulus he was glad Regulus came back to them. And offered to help Regalus become an illegal animigus. Of course Kreacher turning Regulus into a shark or bird would also be useful. Kreacher was likely being hunted now too, word getting out he went missing after Regulus did. Bellatrix was definitely hunting Kreacher, least of all for disobeying her.

"Mrs. Tonks will have to be under protection," Moody suggested. "The Malfoy is likely a target too for suspicion of housing Mr. Black, I shudder to think of how Bellatrix treats the replacement house elf it her youngest sister. But Mrs Tonks will be a priority suspect for he-who-must- not-be-named and Bellatrix' hit list."

Sirius wiped his eyes. "I'll inform her."

Sirius pulled out a picture from her wallet, a photo of a little girl with bright pink hair playing on magical swingset, and handed it to Regalus.

Regulus took the photo and went up to Sirius, pulling her in a tight hug. "I'm sorry I missed it," he murmured. Sirius patted Regulus' head.
