Hermione's POV

Classes were becoming increasingly difficult with my lack of concentration. I had much to do in order to prepare for this new life I would be bringing into the world. A world in which there were destined to be a powerful wizard in which they would be harmed if anyone in Slytherin house knew. I continued to push hard and act as though my mind was clear and focused on classes. Harry and Ron appear to be best mates again, and I was feeling a little odd. Harry and I were not particularly dating at this point, it was more a mutual respect for Ron. We just talked in my room privately a lot, planning and dreaming. However, in school we were just the three of us as it has always been. "Harry?" I spoke as my dorm room door opened. "It's me." I heard Ron's voice. We had spoken very little since he and Harry talked, but we were working on it. "Oh!" I was surprised that Ron would come see me and feeling a little insecure about my current attire, I slipped an oversized jacket over my shoulders as he walked in. I was wearing a skintight sleeping shirt; it was light pink and some pale pink stripped pants. The shirt showed off my pregnancy bloat. That was all it was according to the muggle doctor I had been seeing since finding out. It was rather difficult to get there, but the headmaster allowed me many means of transportation for my safety as well as my child's safety. "Can we talk?" Ron spoke pulling me from my own thoughts.

"Yes. Sorry. Is everything okay?" I asked repositioning on my bed to ensure my wand was within reach in case I needed to defend myself. This prophecy has made me a touch more paranoid than usual.

"I wanted to tell you I am sorry." Ron spoke softly. "Ronald…It is my fault. I should have been honest with you from the start." I retorted. "No, Hermione. I am sorry for everything. I am sorry for leaving you when things got hard. I should not have left, but even more so, I should have told you how trapped I had been feeling. I felt like after Lavender it was obvious that you and I had something, but it was quickly obvious that I was not ready for anything. Then again, I should have stopped to deal with the death of my brother as well. I allowed so many things to influence me instead of my feelings themselves. I love you Hermione, but I love you as a best friend, as a sister. I should have seen that, but I was jealous of Harry, and I did not want him to get one more thing. I wanted to win just once." Ron took a deep breath.

I got off the bed and hugged him. "I love you, Ronald. I will always love you and I hope you can be my child's Godfather. Protect them at all costs, love them like your own." We hugged for a few moments longer before there was a knock on the door. "Now who could that be because Harry rarely knocks." I giggled heading to the door "Stupefy!" A familiar voice yelled out stunning both Ron and I in our tracks.

Harry's POV

It was odd that Ron and Hermione were not in the Gryffindor Common Room for movie night. It was something new that Ron had started as the Head Student, however he was not here. I decided to go check on Hermione first then I would find Ron. I hurried to her room to find the door slightly open. Finding this odd I walked inside. Her room was empty except for her things and two wands lying on the floor. I recognized them immediately. One was Ron's and the other Hermione's. Extremely odd. I knew that Ron was going to talk to Hermione, but this is very concerning. I thought about it for a few moments before decided to head to Headmaster McGonagall's office and ask her if she knew of their whereabouts.

After speaking with several fellow students and the headmistress no one had seen either of them since dinner. I was growing more concerned. I headed to my quarters and pulled out an old piece of parchment, known as the Marauders Map. "It has been a while my old friend, I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." The map revealed itself as the new Hogwarts building came into view. I flipped though the pages searching for any movement as it was long after hours. I saw Aberforth roaming the halls, doing what he was supposed to in order to keep students in line. I flipped down a few more pages until what I saw made my breath catch. "It can't be…" I whispered.

Ron's POV
It was dark, and wet. I looked around trying to allow my eyes to adjust to the dim lighting. "Hermione?" I croaked out looking around. I saw her unconscious nearby on the cold ground. "Hermione!" I crawled over weak and hurting, from what I do not know. "Ugh." She whimpered, grabbing her arm. "What happened?" She began to sit up. "No, stay still. I do not want you hurting yourself, or…" My voice trailed off not knowing who could hear.

"Ronald…What happened?" She sat up on her elbows holding herself carefully.

"Someone trapped us, we are in Hogwarts dungeons, I think. Did you see who it was?" I asked her.

"I think…no it is not possible. Not a soul has seen them since the final battle, it could not be." She looked around with fear in her eyes.

"That is right you filthy little mudblood, it is me. Back again, once Death Eater, always a Death Eater."
