I've seen that kid before I thought. That's when I realized it was the other boy that was in my room when I first woke up. It was the boy from my dream.
"Hey, Will is she- Oh… never mind" the dark haired boy said. " Um, what have you told her?"
"Just my name and where at a camp, I thought we were leaving the rest to you?" Will said in the same calming tone as before.
" Yeah, Chiron wanted me to give her a tour for some reason, I was just asking," The dark haired boy said.
"Umm who are you?" I said in a mildly rude tone." And yall still haven't answered my question" i said while looking at Will and Ava.
"My name is Percy Jackson and you probably won't be leaving until… next summer."Percy replied in the same tone.
" What summer just ended? I have to wait a whole year?" I asked while trying to stand up.
"Yeah? Now come on, I wanna get this over with." Percy started walking towards the door.
I wasn't sure why I followed him but I did. I also found him oddly attractive considering he made it clear that he didn't like me. Once I made it outside the infirmary this place looked very familiar… partly because this is the place I saw in my dreams and because I saw this place before I passed out.
"So this is camp-half blood" Percy said, his heart obviously not in it.
"Listen if you tell me how to get out of here you hear for me ever again" I offered
"Chiron would get angry at me, you, and himself, then we'd both be cleaning the stables for a month, So I'm good." Percy said letting out a small chuckle.
I walked in silence for it while he showed me the cabins and explained that i'm a half-blood and probably will be claimed at the campfire later tonight. I wasn't really paying attention, I was looking at the scenery. It was really pretty if you ignored the overwhelming amount of information that was being handed to you all at once.
"Soo you killed the minotaur before you got here?' percy asked me
"Yeah?" I was a little defensive.
"Chill, just wondering," Percy said in the same tone. I've decided that I hate that he does that. "You know did killed him before I got here too"
I let out a sigh "Nice jackson, I hope you're scared for life because I sure am." I said getting impatient
" I'm just trying to relate to you, but this is the Hermes cabin you'll be staying here until you get claimed," percy said. "I'm supposed to hope that you get claimed but not feeling to today." Percy started to walk away.
"What?" I was very confused but went up to the first people I saw that looked about my age.
"Um sorry to bother you, but I got dropped off here so…?" I started to say.
"Ohhh you must be the girl that killed the minotaur. That's so cool, you probably won't be staying here very long but just in case you can have the bunk over there," He said while pointing over my shoulder. "Oh and my name is Connor, how about you?" he finished saying.
"Um thanks? And I'm Scarlet Sinclair." I said smiling for the first time since I got there.
Connor and this other kid that look just like him, I think his name was travis? Took me out to the archery range I'd seen on the 'tour' Percy gave me. When I saw the full thing the air was sucked out of my lungs. I had to bow I took from school, sadly the arrows were lost before i got here.
"Hey, Will she said shes want to do archery "Travis called to Will.
"Oh hey scarlet, how are you feeling?" Will asked "Thanks guys I got her" He said to Connor and Travis waving them off.
"I'm better, but when do I start?" I said while looking at the archery range still lost in its beauty.
"Oh yea, so I'm guessing you have experience?" Will asked nodding to my bow
"Um yea, is this good it's from my school?" I said meeting his eyes
"We'll seen, if not we have some and if that doesn't work we can the hephaestus kids to make you one" Will tone was always so calming, it made you whole body relax.
"Okay" I walked over to one of the empty targets and was shaped like a kind of a monster I couldn't quite remember the name of. I knocked an arrow, aimed it and let it fly. Will watched in amazement as the arrow flew right in the middle of the target.
"Oh my gods- you know what if I had to guess you might be an Apollo kid" Will said, still in shock that I got that shot on the first try.
"You're an Apollo kid right, so we'd be siblings?" I asked. I kinda like the idea of being Will's sister.
"Yea pretty much, but I'm more of a healer than an archer" Will said in a wistful tone. "But it has its perks. I usually don't have to fight in the wars, just the aftermath.
That's when a very loud horn sounded and Will told me to get back to the Hermes cabin to get to the campfire. When I got there I saw a centaur that I guessed was Chiron was making announcements that I didn't really care about. I also saw Percy, then he began to speak
"I would like to personally congratulate Scarlet Sinclair for killing the minotaur just like I did four years ago" I could hear the smugness in his voice as he spoke. If everyone wasn't looking at me before they sure were now, especially because Percy Jackson had just shouted at me out in front of the whole camp. I didn't know a whole lot about the guy but he seemed to be a really big deal here at camp. That's when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Go he's calling up there" A Hermes kid whispered to me, while pointing to the front.I wanted to crawl in my skin and die. I thought to myself I should go, this would be the perfect opportunity to run away since everyone was at the campfire but willed myself to walk up to the front.
"You're an Apollo kid right, so we'd be siblings?" I asked. I kinda like the idea of being Will's sister.
