Billy: UPDATE ALERT!
Anon: So as you've noticed, we've deleted the James Bond Arc chapter because our beta reader/old friend of ours, who goes by Bunny said that it "needs a rewrite" and she's currently in charge of that area, along with our OTHER project.
Billy: So, what does this mean for "The Arc Who Loved Me"? Simple, we replace it with a series of trailer reactions that will serve as a teaser for an upcoming long reaction, which we'll post 2-3 chapters at a time for efficiency's sake.
Anon: Indeed, and this "long reaction" will probably be another fanfiction AU that will HOPEFULLY not end up as a disaster.
Billy: Hopefully
Anon: So without further ado, here's the first trailers of our new, not-so-little project, "Vytal's Hope"

[Badass Linebreak]
A few minutes, several appointments to the local suspicious witch doctor in the corner of Diagon Alley from Harry Potter and a therapy session by Billy (Who somehow has a degree in Psychology) later, Professor Ozpin was back in shape, recovering at the least with most of his injuries healed save for a few cuts, but it's nothing that Aura can't heal, right?
Wait a fucking minute, this is almost the same script!
(GET ON WITH IT/GET ON WITH IT)
Right, as I was narrating, the two juggalos known as BillyBombastic and AnonNoir were about to show the Remnantians, Remnantlings? Remnanters? Whatever, they were about to show the guests a nice little preview of the next world, which was supposed to be about a cape-wearing, laser-eyed, near god-level boy scout that was not Jaune surprisingly, when a red telephone booth suddenly dropped out of the sky!
CRASH!
And landed right on top of Billy.
"Ow..." The bomb-headed Host's voice muffled from underneath as he teleported off to his twin's side with a pop.
Safe to say, the audience was surprised at what transpired.
"What's a..." Blake tried to ask, only to be cut off by Anon.
"Best you don't ask." He said, he turned to Billy, telling him, "I guess that's for you?"
"I think it is," Billy replied, rubbing his head, which now had a red glowing bump, "JUST A SECOND, LADIES AND GENTS. I'LL BE TAKING THIS!" Billy announced, just as the phone rang and the Host was quick to answer.
In no more than a few seconds later, Billy exited the booth as it disappeared in a poof of smoke.
"So who called?" Yang asked.
"WHY, NONE OTHER THAN THE BOSS HIMSELF!" Billy replied in his usual grandiose manner.
"I am guessing this 'Boss' character, is your superior?" Ironwood asked.
"You could say that, he's Chief Commissioner of quadrant 616, the same quadrant where your universe is, which explains our involvement." Anon piped in as the movie screen glowed red as Anon sighed and nodded to his twin.
"I'm guessing that means there will be more guests?" Winter mused as Billy nodded.
"Indeed, Miss Schnee! In fact, the guests that will be here might have an appearance in future viewings!" Billy responded, all the while he cautiously watched the ceiling from time to time to check if there were pesky fax machines that would drop, only to sigh in relief that there was none.
"So about that call, Mr. Bombastic." Ozpin inquired.
"Please, it's Billy. Mr. Bombastic was my father." Billy insisted, "But YES! About the call, the Boss said that there will be some changes in our next viewing, as the other two worlds have yet to be properly stabilized, so for this next one, it will be a preview on a future world that is too large, the Boss said that we'd have to show at least 2-3 "episodes" of it."
"Like a TV show?" Yang asked.
"LIKE A TV SHOW." Billy replied, as Anon entered the Theater with more guests in tow.
"UNCLE QROOOWW!" Ruby sped towards his uncle as the man, the bird, the myth, the legend himself, grabbed his niece by the face with a smirk, which left the reaper running comically in the air until she slipped down from his grasp.
"Hi!" Ruby greeted after standing up, "Did you miss me?!"
"Nope." Qrow jokingly said, ruffling Ruby's hair, "But I'm sure someone else misses you." He added, pointing his thumb towards behind him.
"Dad?!" Both sisters said as they ran towards Taiyang, tackling him into a hug.
"I heard something about bringing Summer back, at first I was somewhat skeptical but, I learned to trust these guys if what they're saying is true." Taiyang said, earning nods from his daughters.
Then, Peter Port and Bartholomew Oobleck entered as they greeted the Beacon Headmaster and their fellow teacher.
"I will admit, this is a rather interesting predicament we have gotten ourselves into, Ozpin, but I'm sure we will learn more of the universes that we are to view!" Oobleck said.
"I agree, Bart! I've yet to see the alternate versions of our students performing heroic deeds as I have!" Port added, flexing his arms.
Ozpin simply sipped his coffee as he chuckled at both of their antics but agreed nonetheless about Peter's statement on his students and their potential acts of heroism, particularly that of Jaune Arc, as he knew that despite his... questionable means of entering Beacon, the bespectacled Headmaster saw a fiery determination within the young blonde knight's eyes.
"'Sup losers!" A carefree voice said as the Beacon students turn to see Team SSSN and their leader, Sun Wukong greet them with a smile and a wink to Blake's direction, one that the latter reacted with a roll of her eyes and, if one were to look closely, a faint blush.
"Snow Angel." Neptune Vasilias, ever the charmer, greeted Weiss with a kiss to the back of the young Schnee's hand, an action that earned the attention of Winter as she watched her sister smile warmly at the gesture.
"So I heard we're gonna be watchin' some universes, it seems cool." Sun said as he then scratched his head in confusion, "Although which one of you is Jaune again?"
Jaune raised his hand awkwardly, "That's gotta be me, the guy who wore a dress?" He reminded the monkey faunus, which made the latter widen his eyes in realization.
"Oh! That was you?" Sun asked, snapping his fingers as Jaune nodded, "I knew it! Gotta hand it to you man, it honestly takes guts to wear a dress like that in front of everyone." He complimented.
"Yeah well, I did keep my promise to Pyrrha." Jaune replied, which earned him a nod of respect from the rest of Team SSSN as the blonde knight glanced over to the redhead, who smiled gratefully at him, one he returned in earnest, Was Pyrrha's smile always that pretty? He wondered until his eyes widened at the thought.
"Hang on just a moment." Sage Ayana spoke up, making the rest of the students turn to him, "What did you exactly say about Nikos, Jaune?" He cheekily asked with a teasing grin, making Jaune's eyes widen even more as Pyrrha blinked in confusion.
"I thought I heard something along the lines of "Pyrrha" and "Pretty"." Scarlet David added teasingly as the blonde clutched his mouth with a blush, with Pyrrha squeaking as she knew she heard her partner say something.
"Got something to say, oh 'Fearless Leader'?" Weiss spoke up with both hands on her hips and a surprisingly un-Weiss like mischievous smirk, while she knew Jaune was over the white-haired heiress and she thanked the blonde for asking Neptune to dance with her, she knew when to have some fun, plus it's also because of a certain feeling she has, like she was meant to have a little bit of fun in the moment.
"Uh..." Jaune stuttered, but before his embarrassment could go on further, a sound of a throat clearing was heard as the audience turned to both Hosts.
"As much as I would like to give you people any further time conversing, WE ARE BEHIND SCHEDULE! We got some trailers to show you." Billy said, saying the last part with both hands waving around comically.
"Mr. Branwen, Mr. Xiao Long, feel free to sit down right behind Miss Rose and Miss Xiao Long, Team JNPR, please sit down a little further to the right please." Anon said as Team JNPR sat down on another 4 seats, their seats then changing to their colors as both Qrow and Taiyang sat behind Ruby and Yang and next to Winter and Team JNPR. Team SSSN sitting next to Team RWBY.
It was then that the screen showed the Arc crest, as the lights around the Theater dimmed as text soon appeared.
"Gold Trailer"
"Uh, a little on the nose, don't you think?" Jaune commented with an awkward chuckle.
"I think it suits you perfectly, Jaune." Pyrrha said, which earned her a smile from her partner.
The screen turned black again as suddenly a small, familiar voice spoke out.
"Legacy? What's that?" It asked.
"It's like planting seeds in a garden you never get to see." Another voice, an elderly one, replied.
"Well we know it's little Fearless Leader who's talking, but who's the old guy?" Nora wondered.
"That's... my grandfather." Jaune said, smiling sadly, remembering all the times his grandfather tucked him to bed and telling him all those heroic stories, those same ones that inspire him to become who he is now.
"A sad, yet true description..." Ozpin sighed in sadness, reminded of his own legacy, his expression made his colleagues turn to him in concern but they turned back as the viewing continued.
"I don't get it." The young voice said.
"Nothing in this world makes sense, my boy. But soon, you will get it."
The screen lit up to show a cloaked figure riding a white horse, trotting down a dirt path in a forest, the screen then cut to show the rider reading a map.
"Jaune is that you?!" Ruby pointed at the screen. "Cloak buddies!" She stood and cheered.
"Ruby! Please sit down." Weiss chided, surprisingly in a soft polite tone.
"Sorry Weiss." Ruby replied with a sheepish chuckle.
"The map seems to be of Vale," mused Oobleck, "Yet I can't help but see that it's somewhat, outdated."
"Indeed," Ozpin agreed, "Why would he use an old map?" He asked the Hosts.
"You'll see soon enough." Anon vaguely replied.
The rider came to a small village as they pulled back the reins, urging the horse to stop in front of the village's entrance where there are two guards stationed.
"Their armor seems to be outdated as well." Ironwood noticed, and asked the Hosts, "Is this from an older time period, I'm guessing?"
"You would be correct, General." Billy replied, pausing the viewing to explain to the audience, "This universe takes place in a... "sort of" Medieval period of Remnant. Although Remnant, in this case, goes by another... ancient name."
The last part caught Ozpin by surprise, but he didn't show it, instead opting to ask, "And what is this other name?"
"The World of Vytal." Anon answered.
"Vytal? Like the island?" Ruby asked.
"Yes. The World of Vytal, as my brother said, is in its Medieval period. While the threat of the Creatures of Grimm is still all the more present, there are subtle differences."
"We would tell you of these differences but it's better to show than to tell." Billy chimed in, resuming the viewing.
The rider dismounted and approached one of the guards.
"Stop!" The guard called out. "Who are you? Show yourself behind that hood!" He demanded.
The students leaned forward in anticipation, seeing that they haven't seen Jaune yet since it's his universe, they wanted to see this mysterious rider.
The figure pulled back his hood, revealing it to be Jaune, his armor hidden beneath his cloak.
"Is Jaune a knight here?!" Nora gasped, earning the blonde's curiosity.
"No..." Anon replied, making the knight deflate a bit. "Not yet." He murmured.
"Not yet...?" Jaune's head shot back up, eyes filled with hope. He had to keep watching.
"I don't mean you any harm." He said, "I seek shelter after a long journey from Ansel."
"Ansel?" The guard relaxed, but kept his guard up, "Must be a long journey. Very well."
"Is Ansel really that far?" Ren asked, having travelled long distances himself with Nora before Beacon.
"Not really with airships, but on horseback, it's a fair distance." Jaune replied.
Jaune nodded as he mounted on his steed and urged it forward.
He came upon a small inn and dismounted, the blonde entered the inn to see some patrons drunkenly singing some tune, while most were just convering or drinking.
"Must be a fun place." Qrow chuckled, feeling a bit tipsy himself, earning a sigh from Winter.
"Of course you would say that." She replied.
Jaune approached the bar where the bartender, a large and burly man, was cleaning one of the tankards.
"Excuse me, are there any available rooms?" The blonde politely asked.
"Of course! There happens to be one more room." The bartender replied with a grin. "You're not from here. You must had a long journey!" He added.
"Yes," Jaune, "I am from Ansel."
"Ansel? Very far indeed... and where are you heading?"
"Vale."
"Vale?" The bartender heartily laughed in disbelief, "It is a long journey indeed! What do you hope to find in the King's City?"
"King's City?" Yang asked, confused.
"It's how they call the City of Vale considering it is the capital and where the King's Palace is." Anon explained.
"There's a palace?!" Nora asked excitedly.
"It looks great, but they don't typically overdo it, unlike some people." Billy replied, muttering the last part.
"Sadly, that's not exactly wrong." Weiss sighed, hearing the last part reminded her of the Schnee Manor and how Jacques changed it drastically.
"Well..." Before Jaune could answer, a horn was sounded, followed by screams outside and a single voice.
"Bandits! Bandits!"
This put everybody on edge, especially Qrow and Yang, with both the same thoughts on a certain woman.
"Bandits? In a fair distance to Vale?" Jaune asked the bartender, who pulled out a butcher knife.
"Nothing to worry about, lad. These aren't like the ones in Anima, though they tend to bring-"
"Grimm! Incoming from the other end of the village!" A couple of voices called out.
"As if bandits weren't enough?!" Sun commented in exasperation, gripping the armrests of his seat.
"And as if bandits weren't enough, huh?" The bartender said, repeating Sun's comment.
The monkey faunus blinked at the coincidence, something which earned brief chuckles from his team.
"If I may offer some assistance?" Jaune suggested, the bartender looked at him and took a close glance at the armor hidden beneath the blonde's cloak.
"Something tells me your journey to Vale is more than seeing the sights, yes?" The large man asked as he chuckled, "We can handle the bandits, boy. As for the Grimm..."
"Leave it to me, sir. It's the least I can do." The Arc finished with an easy smile.
"That's our Fearless Leader there, always happy to help." Ren half-teased and half-complimented.
"Ah, stop. It's true though." Jaune replied with a sheepish grin as he scratched his cheek.
As Jaune exited the inn, he looked to his right and saw the guards along with some villagers carrying whatever they could find fighting off the bandits at the entrance with some ease.
He then heard screams to his left and saw that the other end of the village was breached by a pack of Beowolves, some Ursai and a single Nevermore, while he saw that some of the villagers held off some of the creatures of darkness, for him, it wouldn't be enough.
It was then he saw a young boy who looked lost, tears in his eyes and saw that a Beowolf was about to pounce on its poor victim.
Gasps were heard around the Theater.
"Save the child, you dolt!" Weiss yelled out.
"Come on Jaune, go!" Ruby yelled out.
"Jaune, please... save him!" Pyrrha looked at the on-screen Jaune intensely, her semblance unknowingly made the metallic parts of her seat groan in response.
Acting fast, he bolted into a sprint, untying his cloak and removing the layer of clothing off of him as it billowed in the air.
Just as the Beowolf's claw was about to strike the child, the wolf Grimm was pushed back by an arc of golden energy. The Grimm looked to its injury to see a burning slash wound in its chest.
Lowering his hands, the small boy looked up to see the back of his savior. The screen then cut to view Jaune in his armor.
He wore a white and gold cuirass and faulds decorated with engraved patterns of his family crest and a large Arc crest engraved at the center of his breastplate surrounded by a laurel wreath, with twin axes crossing each other at the bottom of the wreath. Underneath, was his royal blue, white and gold surcoat, flowing in the wind.
Protecting his shoulders were white pauldrons with gold lining at the edges, couters on his elbows, and vambraces and gauntlets on his forearms and hands, all lined with gold.
He also wore gilded cuisses and poleyns, with his leather boots protected by greaves and sabatons.
Seeing this other version of Jaune in full armor brought shock and awe to the audience, the blonde knight himself in particular as he looked at his own armor, a simple chestplate and spaulders and looked back at his alternate version, at first in envy and self-doubt, but next in determination at how he'll improve in both skill and... well, his armor.
He chuckled inwardly at how badly he needs an upgrade.
"He looks like a proud and noble knight and hero! It suits him well!" Port commented with a proud grin behind his wiggling mustache.
Reminds me of my old life... Mused Ozpin nostalgically, thinking of his first life as Ozma.
"Awesome..." Sun commented.
"You can say that again." Neptune told him.
Pyrrha could not contain the intense blush that graced her cheeks when she was graced with Jaune's alternate armor, he not only looked so dashing in armor, but he truly looked like the hero the one in the audience wished to be. It was then she promised herself that she would try her hardest to train her partner harder and... hopefully have the courage to tell him of her feelings.
"Is no one gonna notice the BEAM OF ENERGY?!" Nora screeched out, which made the others in the audience curious as well.
"GLAD YOU CAUGHT ON, MISS VALKYRIE!" Billy said grandiosely.
"I was curious but I was sure it was Mr. Arc's semblance." Winter commented.
"And that is where you're partially correct, Specialist Schnee." Anon chimed in.
"What do you mean?" The Atlesian Specialist inquired.
"In this universe, Aura still exists but semblances are replaced by its more 'potent' form." Anon explained.
"And it's simply called... MAGIC!" Billy said, with arms wide.
"M-magic?!" Weiss said in disbelief.
"When you think about it, Miss Schnee, semblances can be a form of magic in itself." Ozpin said, hiding his shock that the same magic that his past life as Ozma used was commonplace in this universe. The heiress simply nodded stiffly and accepted the explanation.
"Ren! Do you think you can magic some pancakes here?!" Nora asked excitedly.
"I..." Ren paused, thinking it through before he continued, "Actually, it's not impossible, but I doubt my other self can learn it."
"Drat!" Nora pouted.
In Jaune's hand was his family's legacy and pride, the Crocea Mors. The sword was in its longsword form as the sword's sheath had sharp protrusions on either side that extended and connected at the sheath's tip, forming another blade, with the sides of the sheath itself having sharpened.
It was then Jaune pressed a button on the weapon and the sharpened sides of the sheath became smooth and blunt, and extra blade retracted back into the sheath's sides as he grabbed on a vertical handle in the sheath and pressed another button, turning his sheath into Crocea Mors' iconic shield, which had the same engraving as his chestplate.
The change of the sheath to shield consequently popped the sword right out which he caught in time as the Beowolf charged again and went to strike the blonde's face.
Only for Jaune to slice off the beast's arm as it howled in pain, and left the blonde an opening. He went to bash the Beowolf's head, stunning it, before pushing it away from him and the boy.
As the Beowolf recovered, its arm regenerated, it roared at the defiant human. Jaune in turn, took a stance, his shield forward, stance low and sword just above his shield.
"And here we go, ladies and gents! It's Fearless Leader versus the poor puppy, who will win!? Let's find out!" Nora announced.
"Kick some Grimm ass, Vomit Boy!" Yang cheered, bumping her fist to her palm.
"Vomit boy?" Tai asked, confused, he turned to Qrow, who shrugged.
"You can do this Jaune!" Sun cheered along, his team following suit.
Jaune, seeing his friends cheer his alternate self, inwardly joined the cheering.
Looking behind him, Jaune gave the little boy a smile before he told him.
"Go get somewhere safe, little one. Leave the big monster to me."
Hearing his order, the boy nodded with a renewed, hopeful smile and ran off into the direction of the other villagers.
The Beowolf then charged at the blonde, fangs bared. But Jaune didn't move a muscle, keeping his shield up as he breathed slowly to keep himself calm.
"What is he doing?" Weiss said.
"Jaune, move!" Ruby called out.
"He is right where he is." Ironwood said.
"What do you mean by that, General?" Weiss asked.
"He is waiting." Ironwood replied, seeing the expectant look in the Arc boy's eyes.
As the beast closed the distance, Jaune then ducked under the Beowolf's claws and sliced off its legs, sending the Grimm crashing into the ground as Jaune went for the killing blow and stabbed his blade into the monster's head, killing it.
"And he is out of here!" Sun yipped as the huntsmen in training cheered in victory.
"Good work Jaune!" Pyrrha said proudly with a large smile.
"Uh, that's not..." Jaune tried to reason, only for Nora to put a finger on his lips.
"Shhh." The ginger bomber shushed, "Just... accept the victory, AND CELEBRATE!" Nora had a serene expression before it broke out into an energy-filled one, before she is calmed by Ren.
Jaune sighed in relief as he saw the corpse disintegrate before he saw a couple more Beowolves closing in before they all charged at him. With a challenging grin, he charged at them in earnest, slicing off the head of one, blocking a bite attack of another before stabbing its eyes followed by a slice to the throat.
He moved to deflect an oncoming strike from another Beowolf behind with his shield before he proceeded to bash its head with the shield's edge, surprisingly leaving a nasty cut before he bashed the head downwards, effectively ripping it off from its neck.
The last attack made some students cringe at the brutality of it, while others were dumbfounded at the on-screen blonde's combat skills.
Pyrrha, for the most part, is proud of her partner, despite the gore. She was hoping that her training with Jaune would offer the same results, minus the brutality and all.
As most of the Beowolves were defeated, Jaune was thrown back by an Ursa Major's paw. Jaune skidded across the ground a couple times before he managed to slow himself to a grinding halt by planting his shield on the dirt. Once he stopped, he looked up to see the Major charging towards him, Jaune got up just in time to see the Grimm just mere inches from the blonde, paws ready to smash the blonde into paste.
Many voices called out for the blonde to move.
"Get out! Get out!" Nora and Ruby yelled out.
"Jaune!" Pyrrha called out, the scene reminding her too much of her partner's fight against a similar Grimm back in the Forever Fall forest.
"Move man!" Sun called out in worry as well.
Only for Jaune to block the attack with his shield, but the Ursa relented, pushing its paws forward against the blonde's shield with a growl. Jaune groaned at the pressure, as he felt his body move backwards at the sheer weight of his enemy's paw.
It was then he gathered up what little magic he has and channel it into his blade, he could both feel and see his blade coated with a familiar golden glow.
Seeing the blonde use magic up close made the audience amazed at the concept.
"So magic works much like Aura?" Goodwitch mused.
"Yes and no." Billy said, "And I retract my last statement on how semblances are replaced with magic. It's not the case, really."
"Then semblances do exist?" Weiss asked.
"Yes. In fact, magic and semblances are almost similar in nature in that they are unique to each user. Except the differences being that magic here is more powerful and much rarer than semblances." The bomb-headed Host explained.
"Lucky Fearless Leader..." Nora pouted, she wanted some magic too!
"More like unlucky." Anon commented cynically, "While indeed magic is more powerful and rarer, it is much more dangerous and more unstable when one first uses magic, assuming they're born with it."
"I concur." Billy chimed in, "In fact, another difference between magic and semblances is that where one unlocks a semblance after they unlock their aura, magic-born users do not have any aura at all, instead they only have their magic with them the moment they are born to heal their injuries, making the training for magic users all the more difficult and dangerous."
Needless to say, the audience was shocked, to have something as powerful and rare as magic at the cost of not having aura or a semblance?
The only one not surprised was Ozpin, who knew from past lives that aura and semblances were but remnants of the old magic. He was, however, intrigued at the prospect of magic, aura and semblances exist in a world like the one they're viewing at the same time.
As for Jaune. Poor blonde's jaw dropped to the floor like an anvil.
"Why did it have to be me?!" Jaune whined, a visible storm cloud of sadness and depression looms over his head.
Pyrrha patted her partner in the back in comfort, "If it's anything, Jaune, at least it shows here that your alternate managed to hone their skills in magic well."
"I guess so... thanks, Pyrrha." Jaune looked to his partner with a small smile.
"But anyways, at Miss Goodwitch's last question." Billy said, "Because magic users cannot have aura or a semblance, magic can fill in both roles, to both heal injuries and power up weapons and/or other parts of the body." Glynda nodded at the answer.
With a roar, Jaune pushed through with some strength left in him and slashed the Ursa Major across its torso with his magic infused blade, pushing the Grimm back slightly. The Ursa tried to attack Jaune with its powerful paws, only for the blonde to roll out of the way.
Making some distance, Jaune retracted his shield and sheathed his sword and with a button, the sharp protrusions extended once more from the sides of the sheath, sliding towards the tip of the sheath and connecting to form the blade as the sides of the sheath sharpened.
Despite not turning into a gun, Ruby still had stars at the alternate version of Crocea Mors, wondering if she can ask Jaune to upgrade his weapon.
The blonde knight himself also shared this thought, but decided to entertain some other time.
Holding the longsword with both hands, Jaune took a defensive stance, his breaths slow as he and the Ursa circled.
Then, the Ursa charged the Arc, swinging its massive paw down only for it to miss as Jaune rolled out of the way and went on the offensive, with a massive swing, he slashed the unarmored part of the Grimm's arm, creating a big cut but not enough to cut it off. The Ursa countered by smacking the Arc with the back of its paw, the blonde blocked the attack but was pushed back.
The Ursa went for another attack, this time it jumped and brought its entire weight down on Jaune, but he ducked under and stabbed the Major he moved and let Crocea Mors glide across the insides of the Grimm until he reached its other end and with a heave and a defiant yell, he ripped his sword out, effectively ripping open the Ursa Major as black liquid spurted out from the long, massive wound.
Cheers were heard from the students while the older watchers simply applauded.
"Such amazing skill and strength from Mr. Arc! Truly deserving of a Huntsman!" Port loudly congratulated.
"Not bad kid, not bad at all." Qrow said with a small grin.
"He did it! I mean, you did it, but- oh you know what I mean! Good work Jaune!" Ruby managed to congratulate her bestie and first friend after some time contemplating.
"I must say, you weren't too sloppy." Weiss added.
"Weiss-cream actually complimenting Vomit Boy? Oh Gods, the Hosts were right about those changes!" Yang faux-gasped.
"Credit where credit is due, Xiao-Long." The heiress retorted with a small frown, but considered what the blonde bimbo said about the aforementioned changes.
"Alright, I gotta learn how to do that." Neptune muttered, he had to admit, that was sort of cool.
"With your trident? Not impossible, dude." Sun said.
Jaune watched the whole fight with a sense of envy and self-doubt once more, feeling that he would've done those things had he trained more or trained at all prior to Beacon. No, he shook his head, he needs to stop with the self-depreciation.
"If he can do that, I can too!" Jaune muttered with a look of renewed determination. Besides, he has his partner to help.
His partner...
He turned to look at Pyrrha, who looked at his alternate self with a look of both pride and admiration, but there was something else. Something he can't put his finger on but chose to put that aside.
Feeling her partner's eyes on her, the redhead turned to look at the blonde with a reassuring smile and nod, one Jaune returned with earnest, it was enough and no words were needed.
"Jaune's not out of the woods yet." Blake said, gesturing for the audience to watch the viewing more.
Jaune panted tiredly as he turned his head and watched the dead Ursa dissipate, it was then he heard whistling as he turned, he saw Nevermore feathers, he dodged one, cut one down with his longsword with ease as he tried to transform Crocea Mors back into sword and shield mode. Once he did, however, he was too slow as a feather lodged itself through a gap in Jaune's left pauldron and right into his shoulder.
"JAUNE!" Most of the blonde's friends yelled out.
"AGGGH!" Jaune yelled out as he dropped his sword to rip the feather off his shoulder, which left a bleeding wound as blood poured out.
"No good, since he has magic, he doesn't have Aura." Tai gravely said.
"Jaune..." Pyrrha said in worry.
Groaning in pain, he tries to soldier on and recoiled for every feather that bounced off of his shield.
Damn, I don't have the magic to heal my wound! He thought, as he saw the Nevermore swoop in for the kill. Seeing the opportunity, he gathered the last ounces of magic within him and focused it on his legs, just as the large Grimm was about to grab the Arc, he jumped at its height and stabbed the Nevermore in its throat, making it squawk in pain as Jaune was dragged by the momentum of the crashing Grimm.
As they crashed, the bird Grimm tried to get up, only for Jaune to plant the edge of his shield down on its throat hard, silencing it for good. Panting, he struggled to get up, only to come crashing and rolling down as the Nevermore dissipated.
Sighs of relief came from the students.
"Glad that's over, I don't think I can handle anymore surprises." Scarlet commented.
"You and me both, buddy." Neptune added.
"I think I felt my soul leave my body for a second." Jaune quipped, releasing a breath he didn't know he was holding. Earning chuckles from the others.
As the Grimm dissipated, Jaune lied on the ground, staring at the dimming sky as night slowly came, he chuckled, then he laughed before groaning at his injury. Slowly, he sat up, feeling his magic slowly regenerating as he focused as much of it to his injury. Jaune sighed in content as he felt his injury being healed.
He then saw that he was surrounded by some of the villagers, the guards from earlier included, as they stare at him with looks of awe.
Confused, he was about to ask when a familiar voice spoke up.
"Of every passing traveler, knights were rather a rare occurrence." Jaune turned to see the bartender who had an impressed grin as he lend his hand to the blonde.
"Wait, I thought Anon said Jaune's not a knight yet." Nora said, confused.
"Nora, with armor like Jaune's, knight would be the first thing that comes to mind." Ren reminded.
"Well, I'm not..." Jaune said.
"Ah, well that explains why you wanted to go to Vale." The bartender said, understanding this armored blonde's reason to go such a distance from Ansel.
It was then the large man saw the crest on Jaune's chestplate and his eyes widened. "You... you're an Arc?" He asked.
"Wait, they know Jaune's family?" Ruby asked.
"In this universe, some of Vale's most famous and respected knights come from a family of knights who served the crown of Vale for centuries, and the Arcs are no different." Anon explained.
"It was only a matter of time before someone recognizes." Jaune sighed, chuckling to himself, he picked up his family heirloom and sheathed it back to his waist as he stood straight and introduced himself.
"Jaune, of the House of Arc, only son of Jonathan and Marie Arc."
"Well, Sir Arc." The bartender addressed him jokingly, "What will you hope to find in Vale?" He asked with a knowing smile.
And in that, Jaune answered with an honest and bright smile.
"A chance to become a hero, a Vale Knight!"
Pyrrha smiled brightly at the answer, knowing that the alternate Jaune and her own have somewhat similar goals.
Jaune, upon hearing his alternate's answer, felt something burning within his heart as he placed his hand on his chest. He smiled, as he knew what it was. Hope.
"I can see why you chose to let Mr. Arc stay." Glynda muttered to Ozpin with a small smile.
"Indeed, Glynda. For that young man, he will face hardships, but I know he will overcome them and do great things." The Headmaster replied.
"Seems Jonny raised his kid right." Qrow whispered to Tai, "A shame he and Marie... they just couldn't see his potential." He added with a somber frown, the older blonde could only nod.
The bartender simply laughed heartily, slapping the young man on the back, "Good answer! Well then, I'll drink to that." He faced the crowd, "Drinks on me! Tonight, we got a hero in our village!"
As the village celebrated their victory over the Grimm and the invading Bandits, we see the same little boy approach Jaune with a folded fabric in his hands.
"U-um, Sir Arc?" He spoke out.
Jaune faced the young child with a smile as he saw him hold out his folded cloak to him. He took it as he patted the boy's head.
"Thanks, little one." The blonde said, smiling at him.
The child looked up, and returned the smile with his own.
"I wanna be a knight too when I grow up!" He boldly stated.
Jaune chuckled, "It'll be hard, you know? But I believe in you." He told the boy, who nodded furiously.
"Aww, looks like Jaune's got a fan." Yang teased, earning an embarrassed blush from her fellow blonde.
It was then Jaune looked up to the sky, as he felt the wind flowing through his hair, he feels the winds of change flow in his favor. He sighed deeply, as he smiled to himself.
I feel whatever I find, or whatever happens when I reach Vale. He thought, as he looked to the villagers who laughed and conversed outside the inn.
It would serve as a beginning of a great adventure!
The screen dimmed, as 4 panels showing 4 silhouettes showed, with the first brightening revealing the armored Jaune Arc and the letter J just above him.
The screen turns to black as the lights in the Theater brightened, signaling the end of the viewing.
"SOOO..." Billy started, "Whaddaya think of the first trailer?"
"Well..." Sun stretched in his seat, "It was pretty cool to see another world and all, especially if it's gonna feature us."
"Well, you would be surprised." Anon piped in, "The trailer we showed you is but a glimpse into a very large universe, and will feature some of you."
"Indeed, while we would show you the universe directly, it's like Anon said, the universe is too big to show in one sitting so we decided to show it in a TV-show style, 2 to 3 "episodes" each." Billy explained.
"Oh neat, so who's next?" Neptune asked.
"I dunno, what's the next letter in JNPR?" Billy asked with a knowing smirk.
[BADASS CLIFFHANGER AGAIN?!]
Billy: Yup, that's it
Anon: 6,190 words, not including the Author's Notes, the highest word count since the Prologue
Billy: Which, from what I remembered, was 7,197 words
Anon: Indeed. But anyways, Billy here thought of an interesting idea when we made this Trailer, along with the concept of the "long universe" as was stated
Billy: Yup. It's more or less a combination of a "RWBY Rewrite" story and an AU. Which for the former by the way, I recommend DragonoftheEastblue's "Dreams Do Come True" fanfiction, which is a great read. I know they said that it's a "Canon-Restoration/World-building" type but it... sorta counts as a RWBY Rewrite?
Anon: Regardless, I read it and it really fleshed out all the plot holes and fixed what for me was the utter bullshit that was RWBY from Volume 3 going forward.
Billy: I know right? Which is why for my idea, Project: Vytal's Hope (We haven't given it a proper name yet), we decided that it would focus on RWBY's secondary cast of ruined potential (putting a big risk saying those words (*ಠ_ಠ;) ), Team JNPR
Anon: Yes, I don't know if I haven't seen some, but there's rarely any recent JNPR-centric stories. Not talking about Jaune Arc alone or an Arkos story, but the team as a whole protagonist in of itself. So here's us in our attempt, I guess.
Billy: Yes. But enough ranting, we hope you enjoyed this chapter, we however apologize for deleting the other story. Like we said earlier, our beta-reader Bunny is working on it for I dunno how long so... yeah. Also once again, shoutout to Killed Streaks for that awesome review
Anon: And as always, Read and Review
Billy: Favorite and Follow!
Anon: Stay Cool and Anonymous
Billy: AND STAY BOMBASTIC!
