The next day was mostly okay until sword practice. I had sword practice with Percy, I knew it was gonna be awkward but this was a whole new level. I had become friends with Leo, and I got him to make a custom sword. The other ones at camp were good but that one was so much better. I was mostly excited to use it to beat Percy in a sword fight though. I went over to Nico, which I didn't even know he took until a week ago, mostly because he'd go over to the archery range to see Will but I finally got him to try it.
"Hey nico got a minute?" i asked impatiently
"Um sure but-" I couldn't let him finish. I had to talk to some about this right away.
"Okay great" I pulled me and him off to the side for privacy "so hypothetically if i were to kiss someone but still wanted to talk to them without it being awkward how would i do that?" I said, waiting for an answer.
"First of all I know you kissed percy and second I can't really help because i've only liked two people and kissed one."
"What no, what are you talking about? This is hypothetical. And who was the other person you liked?" I said, sounding confused
"Yes you did, I saw you kiss percy." he said "And the other parts are not important" Nico finished. Before I could say anything else Percy came up to me and nico. My heart instantly started beating faster. A part of my brain told me to yell and push him away, the other part wanted to look into his eyes and melt. For some reason I went with neither, I chose to tease him and pretend like I didn't kiss him all.
"Hey? Um Scarlet do you uhh" Percy tried speaking
"Come on Jackson, i believe in you" I said teasingly
"Do you wanna practice with me?" he blurted out

Leo and Nico were standing over by the weapon rack, they looked like they were talking about something but I could hear they were too busy fighting with Percy.
Convo with Nico and Leo: "You know if they didn't fight all the time they would be a good couple" Nico said talking to Leo
"Wait I can see it" Leo replied "What do you think would happen if they kiss right now?"
" Percy would probably stand there in shock and Sinclair would slap him in the face" Nico said while watching them fight.
"Yeah probably" Leo agreed
I wanted to stop fighting with Percy but it felt too good. That's when I had the best or possibly worst idea ever but I might as well try.
"You know what Jackson think we should talk about last night" that definitely got his attention "Good, let's go somewhere else"
"Um okay' he responded flustered like we hadn't just been yelling at each other moments before.
We went to his cabin even though we weren't allowed to be in there alone. I sat on his bed and he shut the door behind us. He must have cleaned it after he pointed it out last night.
" You know I didn't think that would work as well as it did" I said while positioning myself so i didn't have to sit so close to him. "I think it might be the charmspeak"
"Oh my gods shut up Sinclair- wait you can, actually never mind" he sat down on the other side of the bed facing me.
I let a small laugh "Fine, but your face got real red when I-" He stopped me before I could finish
"Scarlet!" he said as he turned away to hide he face
"Okay, Okay i'll stop" I let a proper laugh
I knew his face was red even if I couldn't see it. I thought it was cute that he was flustered. It took everything in me not to blush too. If he saw me blush it would be so embarrassing, he would never let me live that down.
I cleared my throat "So what did you think of the kiss?" I asked confidently just to tease him more.
"That's not helping" He finally looked at me. I saw that his cheeks were a bit pink and it made me smile.
"What? That is what you wanted to talk about right?" I said innocently
"You know what I mean Sincairl" he looked me dead in my eyes
I did know what he meant but I loved teasing him. I knew he was flustered, I think it was one of my child of cupid powers.
"Okay, then you start." I told Percy
"Fine I will." Percy said then went into dead silence. I had a better idea than waiting for him to start talking. I wrapped my hands around the back of his neck and pulled him into a deep kiss. He pulled away. I instantly thought I did something wrong.
"What?" I asked , looking in his sea green eyes from a closer distance this time.
"Nothing, I-i" I pulled him back into the kiss because he was definitely was gonna start ranting
"You're not using your weird love powers on me are you?" Percy pulled away from me again.
"What no, now shut up" I said breathly, pulling him back into the kiss. To be honest I didn't know if I was, I wasn't even sure how to use my abilities.
"You know what I mean Sincairl" he looked me dead in my eyes
