Here's a new chapter! I hope you all enjoy it!

"I have to get out of here! I don't want my people to get hurt by those Koopas!" Summer thought to herself. She sat down in the cell, starting to get a little frustrated. Summer didn't want to be locked inside! She had to get out and save her kingdom!

"I know Mario and Luigi are on their way to save me, but I wanna help too! I have to escape and save my subjects!"

"If you're thinking of escaping, there's no way out." Summer snapped out of her thoughts and saw Ludwig standing on the outside of the cell.

"I-I wasn't thinking about that!" Summer exclaimed.

"Sure." Ludwig smirked.

"What are you even doing here? Shouldn't you be in another world, waiting for the Mario Bros?" Summer asked.

"I'm actually heading there now, but my aunt asked me to check on you before I left." Ludwig explained.

"You guys won't take my kingdom!" Summer yelled.

"We already did," Ludwig chuckled, "Y'know, it's a very beautiful place. I should've taken my girlfriend there on a date before."

Summer blinked in surprise. "You have a girlfriend?"

"Yes. You met her already. She's Jasmine. And my brother Roy is with Kacey." Ludwig replied.

"Y-You're serious?" Summer asked.

"Yes. Is it really that shocking?" Ludwig said.

"Oh, those girls can do so much better..." Summer mumbled.

"What was that?!" Ludwig yelled, now annoyed.

"Hahaha! Oh, nothing!" Summer laughed.

Summer calmed down as she watched Ludwig leave the dungeon. She leaned agaisnt the wall and began to think again.

"What can I do...?"

The group left the Mushroom Kingdom and made their way to a desert world. They tried their best to ignore the heat, but it seemed to get hotter each second they walked.

"We gotta get out of this place..." Daisy thought.

They ran into some Pokeys and Koopa Troopas in the desert. Luigi jumped on a Koopa Troopa, picked up the shell, and threw it at one of the Pokeys, getting rid of one body segment. Kayden, still having fire powers, helped Luigi by throwing fireballs at the Pokeys and Koopa Troopas. The enemies were quickly stopped and everyone continued on through the desert.

Mario hit a block and found a few Propeller Mushrooms inside. They each grabbed one and put it in their pockets. Then, a purple energy blast hit Mario in the chest, making him stumble backwards.

"Mario! Are you alright?" Luigi asked.

"I-I'm fine." He replied. Mario took out a 1-Up Mushroom, slowly feeling better.

Everyone ran towards the direction the energy blast came from. They fought more Pokeys and Goombas on their way and dodged attacks from a few Lakitus. Then, they saw Roy, leaning against a palm tree.

"R...Roy? That was you?" Kacey asked. Roy tried to avoid looking at Kacey's disappointed face.

"I..." Roy didn't know what to say. Roy flinched when Kayden threw a fireball at him.

"Kayden!" Kacey screamed. Kayden ignored his sister and threw more fireballs at Roy. Soon, Roy retreated into his shell. Everyone did their best to dodge his shell, but Kayden got hit at the last second, losing his fire powers.

Once Roy popped out of his shell, he ran inside of the castle nearby. The others chased after him. Kai took out his Propeller Mushroom and used it, now in a propeller suit. He flew into the air and landed on Roy's head. Peach was almost hit by Roy as he spun around the hallway, but got out of the way in time. Roy popped out of his shell, jumped into the air, and did a ground pound, stunning everyone.

Roy used his wand and shot energy blasts in their direction, hitting Mario again and Luigi. The brothers took out Fire Flowers and threw fireballs at the Koopaling. After getting hit by fireballs, Roy fell to the ground, defeated.

"Alright!" Kai cheered.

"Come on! Let's get going!" Mario said as he and the others made their way out of the castle. Before she left, Kacey walked over to Roy and knelt down in front of him.

"Here." Kacey smiled softly at her boyfriend and gave him a 1-Up Mushroom.

"K-Kacey? What are you doing?" Roy asked as she fed him the mushroom.

"I'm still upset that you didn't tell me what Bowser was planning, but I don't want to see you hurt." She replied, still smiling.

"I swear, I'll make it up to you." Roy said.

"Kacey, come on!" They heard Kayden call out.

"I'm coming!" Kacey gave Roy a kiss and ran to her friends.

"Guards! Guards! I need you!" Summer yelled. The door to the dungeon opened and footsteps got closer to Summer's cell. She then saw a Koopa Troopa and a Spike walk over to her.

"What is it?" The Koopa Troopa asked.

"I need to use the bathroom." Summer replied. The Spike sighed and began to unlock the door.

"The bathroom stalls are over there." The Spike said, pointing over to the stalls on the other side of the dungeon.

"I'm not using those dirty things! I'm a princess! Can you at least take me to a nicer and cleaner bathroom?" Summer asked.

The Spike rolled his eyes. "Fine."

The guards opened the door, letting Summer out. They took her out of the dungeon and walked through the halls until they made it to the bathrooms.

"Here you are, princess." The Koopa Troopa said.

"Thank you." Summer put her hand on the doorknob, but stopped and turned to the guards

"Is something wrong?" The Spike asked.

Then, Summer jumped on their heads, knocking the guards onto the ground. She ran through the halls, searching for the exit.

"Where is it?!" Summer exclaimed.

The servants saw the princess running and gasped. They alerted the rest of the guards, Bowser, Clawdia, and Clawdeen.

"What?! How did she escape?!" Bowser yelled.

"S-She tricked us, sir!" The Koopa Troopa replied. Bowser roared and shot fire at the Koopa, but the Koopa quickly ran out of the way.

"Find her and lock her up!" Bowser growled. The Koopa Troopa nodded and ran away.

"She shouldn't have gotten far! Maybe she's still in the castle." Clawdia said.

"I'm sure she's trying to go back to Serene Isles." Clawdeen replied.

"Langston and the kids are still there, right?" Bowser asked his sister.

"Yeah. Most of them were in the castle the last time I talked to them." Clawdeen replied.

"Let them know what happened. We're gonna need their help even more now." Bowser said.

"You're right. I could go there now and help them out if you want." Clawdeen suggested.

"Yeah." Clawdeen nodded and left the throne room.

Summer ran through the halls, jumping on Goombas and Koopa Troopas.

"Princess! Get back here!" Summer turned around and saw Clawdeen running after her.

"Oh no!" Summer ran faster, avoiding other minions. She saw a green warp pipe up ahead and grinned.

"Hopefully that'll lead out of this place!" Summer got closer and closer to the warp pipe. Soon, she arrived at the warp pipe and went through it.

"No!" Clawdeen cried. She growled and made her way back to the castle. She got to her Koopa Clown Car, got inside, and made her way to Serene Isles.
