Danny laid on the ground. He was so tired. Two white rings surrounded him as he transformed back into his human form. Danny lost consciousness at that point. Today had truly been a hellish day.
As he lost consciousness, he remembered all that happened. It was a day before that a giant meteorite was heading towards Earth. It was going to be D-day, the end of the world. An attempt was made, one that failed all because Vlad could not stop planning to one-up his father. It was at this point that he did not understand why Vlad was so obsessed with Maddie. Maybe, it had something to do with the fact that Maddie was his obsession when Vlad had his accident and he turned into a half ghost.
It was when his identity was revealed that he was truly afraid. He was afraid of rejection; he was afraid that his parents would think that he was an abomination. In the end, he had been proven right. It was at the pivotal moment that when he had rallied the ghosts to help him save Earth, o save the realm where they had once lived.
It was during that moment that he had found a knife in his back. Turning around, he saw his mother standing with a stoic expression as she looked at him. He should not have let his guard and defense down, that was his biggest mistake. The GIW had moved in afterward. He had turned around and seen Thompson and the rest of the football team standing in the way. Lancer turned towards them, his expression of rage.
Skulker, one of his greatest enemies was present and he was trying to save him. Danny looked up and realized that he needed to move or else it would be too late.
Each ghost was linked to its obsession and his was to protect. In the end, he would fulfill his duty. His eyes had turned towards the other ghosts as he had yelled while standing up on his feet. Skulker supporting him on his shoulder.
"Run, I will handle this." The ghosts surrounding him were shocked as they looked at him.
"I said move."
"No can-do ghost boy. We will see this to its end, no matter what."
Danny felt his strength declining. He was weakening by the second. There was not enough time left, he had to move now.
He summoned each bit of strength he could from his core. His love for Earth, for the people who stood by him. His anger, his hatred, he brought forward everything he possibly could. Anything to get a little bit more power, a little bit more juice. Danny multiplied, his body splitting into a hundred clones, all going towards the pylon. This was a last-ditch attempt, a way to make earth intangible. Each Danny attached himself to the pylon as he transformed his energy into it. Earth was intangible, the meteorite passed through it.
However, this was all at a great cost. Lightning coursed through each of Danny's clones and the original Danny felt it all. His own powers caused a feedback loop, as the device began to be overloaded by the ectoplasmic energy. An ectoplasmic singularity was created, draining the last reserves of Danny.
"I am sorry my boy. It was never you alone who was being tested." Clockwork was in his aged form as he looked down at Danny.
Clockwork turned into his child form. "And yet, this may be the time for new beginnings."
Clockwork changed into his adult form. "I hope that you use all of your knowledge, the world you are going to is complicated. The Ghost zone and the timekeepers cannot interfere in that realm. It is a realm on the verge of corruption, one that has been quarantined."
Clockwork turned aged again. "Good luck my student. I hope that you find what you are looking for."
The singularity sucked Danny in and now we go back to the present time.
A time when Danny found himself in a bleak city covered by smog. It was all he could see before he fainted. His strength had long since faded, the knife still not removed from his back. It was during these circumstances that Danny had lost consciousness.
(Silco POV)
Silco had settled down, planning for his next steps. It truly angered him, how Vander had capitulated to the topsiders. He knew that Zaun needed to become independent. As the years passed, the technological gap between Piltover and Zaun increased even more.
He was afraid that failure to act would result in the permanent subjugation of their people. As far as Piltovr was concerned, Zaun was beneath them. They had a population equal to Piltover, yet they had no say in the policies enacted upon them.
In the yesteryear, Zaun was used as a dumping ground for all of the waste. They were a cheap source of labor. A way to keep the costs low. An easy dumping ground, Zaun had become practically inhabitable. The families on the council truly angered him. The cost of progress was Zaun.
He had respected Vander once upon a time. He had been angry when he was betrayed, but he accepted it and stepped away. That was until Vander had truly betrayed Zaun as a whole by making deals with Grayson.
Silco closed his eyes, time was running out and he needed to act now before it was too late. Zaun must get its independence at all costs. He would act today, he heard that some of Zaun's stowaways had caused problems. Stolen something that they were not supposed to. He knew that the current constable would come to meet him. Demand an explanation from him, but for now, he would be patient. Greed is a common weak point in human beings, one that he will hopefully exploit to its full effect.
That was until he had felt a green lightning followed by a green explosion. Silco stood up, It was in his territory.
Silco stood up, his cloak billowing behind him as he walked away.
"Sevika, we are moving now." He called out as a brutish woman stepped forward. One whose opinion Silco truly respected. "You felt the explosion as well did you not."
Sevika nodded at him. "Yes, I did. Do you believe one of the chem-barons may be responsible for this?"
Silco shook his head. "No, I do not believe so. I am keeping tabs on their movement."
A cigar found its place on his hands as he placed it onto his lips. Sevika moved deftly as she lighted it.
"Do you expect that there would be trouble?" Silco asked Sevika.
"It is better to take a few precautions," Sevika replied.
Silco moved towards the cupboard and opened it, taking out his own gun. A weapon that he can trust.
And so Silco and Sevika left. An investigation into the origin of the green light underway.
Silco looked through the district. It was too quiet, it felt as if death had visited this place. Soon, he saw rubble from something like a pylon broken in many places.
That was until he saw a boy with a dagger in his back. Electricity sparking through it.
Sevika moved towards the body.
"Sevika, stop. We are dealing with the unknown here."
Silco saw his own reflection inside the boy. The same mixture of despair and anger. The same sense of helplessness on the face. Ater a long time, Silco felt his heart beat. Sadness eclipsed his entire being as he looked at the boy.
Silco saw his chest move. The boy was still alive somehow. So, Silco decided to act. It seems that there was some part od him that still felt compassion.
"Sevika, help me carry him. Make sure not to remove the knife, as it may cause excessive bleeding. We need to get him to Singed right now."
Danny woke up and found himself strapped on a chair. He struggled to move and yet he felt incredibly weak. Did the guys in white finally manage to capture him? Such uncertainty assaulted him. Danny tried to call forth his ghost power and yet he failed to. He felt the weakest he had ever been in his entire life. It felt as if his body had no strength. This was a first for him.
Danny calmed himself down, it would not do to panic. He needed to remain calm and plan his next move accordingly.
He took in the surrounding area and realized that the place looked too archaic to be a base of Guys in white, the guys in white preferred their bases to look sterile white. It may be that their funding may have been cut off, things to consider for now. They could be in hiding, he could work with this.
Danny tried to speak but only a moan escaped his mouth. He was parched now that he felt it. His throat was completely dry, when was the last time that he had drunk some water?
And old man approached him.
"You are awake, good" The old man said as he took out a mini flashlight and began to shine it in Danny's eyes.
"Good, you have regained your basic ocular functions. Now, I need you to follow the light." The old man began to move the light around as Danny followed it with his vision.
Something strange is happening here. By now, the entire world should be aware of his identity.
"Good, you are lucky that you survived, You were in a coma for a month before your wounds started to close." The doctor sighed. "The wound left a nasty scar on your back, I did as much as I could. For now rest."
Danny fell asleep again.
The next time he woke up, he heard the doctor talking with someone else.
"How long will it take for him to wake up?"
"He should wake up in a little while. No solid foods for a few days."
Danny felt much better now.
"Where am I? Who are you?"
Silco regarded him quietly, it was hauntingly the same eyes.
"My name is Silco and this is Doctor Singed. You are in the Undercity."
"Undercity. What's that?" Danny asked in confusion, as he sat on the side of the bed.
It was at that point that Singed began to check him again. "Subject appears to have lost his memory."
"Do you remember your name?" Silco asked.
"Danny Fenton."
"Hmm, it may be partial amnesia." Singed started to shine a light in Danny's eyes as he started to check again.
"Do you remember how you got here?" Silco.
Danny was not sure how much he should reveal. He closed his eyes as he replied. His mood taking a downturn as he began to remember his last moments. "I was stabbed, by my parents, I think."
Silco was quiet as he wondered how to speak about his own experience. The boy did not look as if he was from here. "I see. Danny can you see my eyes"
Danny looked into the eye that Silco pointed towards.
"My brother tried to drown me. I survived but the polluted water made sure that I lost one of my eyes. Understand this, it will be all right." One of his hands fell down on Danny's head. "It will be alright, we will show them. We will show them all."
Danny leaped forward and hugged as tears came out of his eyes. He felt broken after that betrayal.
Danny nodded at that, maybe everything would be all right.
It was at that point that Danny looked at his hands and realized that he was shorter. He brought his hands up and saw small hands. Now that he was getting familiar with his body, he realised that it was all wrong. It was as if he had reverted in his age a little bit.
Was this a consequence of his action? He gets stronger the older he is so to signify his decrease in strength he became younger. Various conjectures spiraled in his head as Danny almost had a second panic attack.
