Danny and Lucifer return to Fenton Works with Sam and Tucker behind him. They headed inside and spotted Jack and Maddie in the kitchen. Danny rolled his eyes before offering a seat to Lucifer. Lucifer smiles, and sat down.
"Wine?" Danny asked her.
"Yes," Lucifer said, watching him walk towards the kitchen.
She leads back a bit and started to think.
'Let's see. I feel some of my power has returned. It feels like I don't have to worry about being too close to him now. However, I can't get too far from him. Still, this new personality seems to fit him well. It's almost like he was a demon himself. I know I can turn anyone, but there's something different about Danny. Almost like he was a demon when he was born. Maybe he was a demon and had no idea. But that doesn't explain why God is after him. Or why he has that cursed name!' She thought.
Still, she needs the boy longer. She only got one piece of her power back, and there are seven other pieces out there. She also had to smile a bit. It appears that Danny's new personality also gave her something she had a hard time getting in Hell. Respect. He treats her like a real queen and she likes it. However, sooner or later, the shy and meek boy will return. It appears that the demon and human are two different people, and Lucifer will have to deal with both sides over time. She might as well enjoy this as much as she can.
Meanwhile,
Danny enters the kitchen and saw his parents looking over the notes. From what he could tell, they were trying to figure out how they found Hell instead of the Ghost Zone.
"Mom? Where do you keep the wine?" He asked.
"Back of the top shelf over the sink," Maddie said, not looking from her notes.
Danny nods and grabs the wine from the place his mother told him. While he was grabbing the wine, his tail opened another cabinet and grabs a wine glass cup. He pours the wine into the cup before placing the wine back. He walks over to his mother and smirks.
"Dad misplace your favorite rose plate." He said.
"WHAT?! JACK!" Maddie asked, shocked before glaring at her husband.
"What?! What did I do?!" Jack said, fearfully.
"Where's my rose plate! It was a wedding gift from my mother!" Maddie asked, angrily.
"It's on the top shelf, away from the edge!" Jack said.
Maddie looked and saw it was still there. She then heard laughter and turns to see her son's look for the first time.
"Danny?" She asked.
"Sorry! I couldn't resist!" Danny laughs, still holding on to the glass wine.
Both Jack and Maddie looked at their son in shock, seeing the horns, tail, and suit. The same look they saw him walking out of the portal.
"You're..." Maddie asked, shocked.
"A demon? For now. The human version is resting right now. But don't worry, he's fine." He said, smiling.
Maddie was still lost, but Danny started to walk around her.
"Sorry, but I need to get this to Lucifer." He said.
Both parents looked confused as Danny walks over to Lucifer.
"For you." He said, bowing.
"Thank you." She said, taking a sip.
"My mother's favorite wine. Brought the day I was born. She drinks a glass on my birthday." Danny said.
"She has good taste," Lucifer said, closing her eyes in bliss.
"You can come out now, Jazz," Danny said, knowing his sister was watching.
Jazz walked downstairs and sighs. Soon Jack and Maddie entered the room, all of them completely confused.
"Before anyone asks, the power I gave Danny acted on its own. I had nothing to do with this." Lucifer spoke up.
"And your son is fine. He mostly resting after getting pounded into the street by another demon power human." Danny said.
"Wait, pounded into the street?!" Maddie asked, shocked.
"I took over to save him. As we speak, he's slowly but surely healing. It might a take a few days." He said.
Everyone looks at him before Danny sighs.
"The Danny you all know is safe. And Lucifer recovered a piece of her power." He told them.
"Indeed. However, it's only a part of my power. There are seven more pieces out there. I'm able to stay away from him as far as entering another room, but I can't go any farther than that." She added.
"But why didn't you tell us?" Maddie asked, worried.
"Dash came out of nowhere. There was no way for us to tell you. He was mostly focused on my human half. Saying that he wanted my power to win over the Queen's hand." Danny said, shrugging.
"All because my power made him believe that it will grant him his wish," Lucifer said.
"Where did Dash get your power?" Tucker asked.
"Hmm, when I broke the orb, I saw where Dash found it. It landed in his room. It almost took his head off." Lucifer said.
"Let me guess, the minute Dash pick it up, it made that promise?" Sam asked.
"Correct. There's a good chance it might happen to you if you try to pick it up. If you find one, don't touch it. Call me and Danny as we are the only ones that can." Lucifer told them.
Tucker, Jazz, Maddie, and Jack nodded. However, Sam was still worried about Danny. She heard what the angel about not trusting Lucifer. But it did sound like she was trying to warn them, which was odd.
"I thought you want to corrupt people?" She asked.
"Oh, I do. But as of now, my power is spit from me, and without having control, most humans will just be mindless beings." Lucifer said, taking another sip of the wine.
"There is a question I have to ask," Tucker spoke up.
"Yeah, Tuck?" Danny said.
"Why does Danny have black horns and you have white?" Tucker asked Lucifer.
"Ah, right. Our horns actually tell how powerful and old each demon is. While Danny's horns are black, the size tells you how powerful he is. Not only that, it matches how old he is. He might be fourteen in human years, but he's much older in demon years. My horns are white because I'm the most powerful and oldest demon in the way. After all, I am the first Angel." Lucifer said.
"I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I'm returned to Lucifer, I will gain white horns," Danny said.
Danny then stops. His mind went back to the fight with Dash and remembered something else that happen.
"Danny?" Jazz asked, carefully touching his shoulder.
"I'm fine. I just remember something that happened during my fight with Dash. He almost hurt a little girl during our fight. From what I saw she was about 5-6 years old. I wasn't going to let her get caught in the crossfire." Danny said.
"A little girl?" Lucifer asked.
"Yeah. Strange enough, she looks as if she could pass for my human self younger sister." Danny said.
"But we never had any more kids," Maddie said.
"True, but now I can't help but to wonder if she's alright," Danny said, making Tucker and Sam believe that the Danny they knew was still there.
"You wish to check up on her," Lucifer said.
"Yes, I did kind of leave without doing so. She is young." Danny said.
Lucifer gave it some thought and nodded.
"Let's go." She said, getting up.
"What?!" The Fentons, minus Danny, asked, shocked.
"I had no idea a young child was caught up in our quest. If Danny is worried about her, then we might as well go see her." Lucifer said.
"But you're the devil! I thought you don't care about these things!" Sam asked.
"I normally don't. But it's what Danny said that has me interested. So, I'm going to see this girl." Lucifer said.
"By the way, I recover my power to teleport from location to location. But I can't travel very far. Just picture where you saw her, and I'll get us as close as possible." She added.
Danny nods and closes his eyes. He pictures the place he saw the little girl and Lucifer placed a hand on his shoulder. A ring of fire appears around their feet before turning into a fire pillar. When it faded, all that was left was a symbol on the floor.
"Well, that was anticlimactic," Tucker said.
"Hello, I'm Tiffany Snow with Breaking News. Just earlier today, the streets of Amity Park were tored up by some mysterious forces. Lance Thunder is at the scene, covering more. Lance?"
"Do I really have to do this? This isn't what I sigh up for... Lance Thunder here covering the scene. As you can see Tiffany, the roads of Amity Park are going under repairs. It will take a few days for them to finish and the roads are being closed down until then. However, several witnesses as said they heard something going on during the mystery and heard some kind of roaring as they did. However, no one check as they were scared of something that might attack them. I would have done the same in their shoes. Back to you, Tiffany."
"Thank you, Lance. Will bring you more as we update the mystery."
The little girl sits on her bed, drawing the strange person that saved her life. She had black hair and red eyes, a rare eye color. However, none of the other kids would play with her. She colors the person before feeling her room warm up. She looks up and saw a fire ring appearing on her floor. Then a fire pillar shoots up before disappearing, leaving two people standing in her room.
"Ah, know I know what this place is. Amity's Orphanage." Danny said, looking around.
The girl climbs off her bed and slowly walked up to them. Lucifer notices her and hmms.
"Well, this is something." She said, walking closer.
The girl stood still, holding her bear close to her. Lucifer walks around the girl, and could tell there was something different about her.
"Is this the girl you were talking about?" Lucifer asked.
Danny turns to her and looks at the girl. Feeling brave, the girl walks up to him and looks into his eyes. Danny nods and faces Lucifer.
"She's the one," Danny told her.
"Interesting. She's clearly human, but I sense there's something different about her." Lucifer said, rubbing her chin.
"You're the one that saved me. T-Thank you." The girl said, trying not to shake.
"You're welcome," Danny said, shrugging.
"What's your name, girl?" Lucifer asked.
"I don't have one." She said, looking down.
"You're kidding, right? Your parents had to name you. They all do." Lucifer asked.
"Mommy and Daddy gave me away the second I was born. They didn't name me or want me. Everyone calls me nameless." The girl said.
Danny frowns. That wasn't right. He looks at Lucifer, who sighs.
"Then how about we give you a name?" He asked.
The girl looks up in surprise as Lucifer sighs. However, there was something about this girl she needed to know.
"Let's see. What's a good name for you?" Danny said, thinking.
Lucifer leans closer to the girl carefully cupping her face with her hands. Lucifer stares into her eyes and saw the kind of life she had lived for the short years. Her parents were unknown to her and most kids stay away from her. Even the orphanage's owner barely was around her. If anything, the girl was more like a prisoner in her room.
She lets go of the girl and backs away.
"She can't stay here," Lucifer said, surprising Danny.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes. I read her mind. I couldn't see all of it, but I know enough that she's not even happy here." Lucifer said.
"Hmm, I doubt the owner would let a couple of demons take in a human girl. Plus, my human half is too young to be a father." Danny said.
"Demons?" The girl asked.
Lucifer sighs before facing the little girl.
"Yes, I'm Lucifer, the Devil. And this is Daniel," Lucifer said, flinching at his full name.
"Just call me Danny. I'm her helper." Danny said, rolling his eyes.
"Lucifer? The ruler of Hell?" The girl asked.
"That's right." Lucifer smiles.
The girl looks down, confused Lucifer.
"The other kids said that I'm a child of Satan." She said, sadly.
Lucifer raises an eyebrow. She hated when people said that others are her children. She has no children! Not to mention that name some use for her. She had no idea where that name came from, but she hates it more than Lucy.
"Trust me when I say this. I have no children. I never did. Being a mother is the last thing I wanted!" She said, growling.
"Are you sure my queen? I do think you can be a great mother." Danny smirks.
"It because of my power that making you act like this. Bring it up again and I will take it back!" Lucifer growls.
Danny just shrugs before coming up with an idea.
"How about Lilith?" He said.
"Lilith?" The girl asked.
"I sure you heard the tales of the mother of all demons that's not Lucifer?" Danny asked, seeing the girl nodded.
"Hmph. Another name the humans gave me. Better than being called Satan, but I hate that stupid title." Lucifer said.
"Lilith," The girl said, trying out for herself.
"It feels right. I like that." She said, smiling.
"Well then, Lilith, do you want to leave this place?" Danny asked.
"Yes. More than anything!" Lilith said.
"What do you think, my queen?" Danny asked Lucifer.
She looks at the girl before nodding. After all, there's something about her she has to know.
"Very well, we take her back to your parent's place." She said.
Lilith blinks before recalling something she heard.
"Um, would that be kidnapping me?" Lilith asked.
"Well, being demons, we don't care. However, my human half will be against it." Danny said, thinking.
"I already looked into your mind. The kids here want nothing to do with you. They may help raise you, but once you were old enough, they stop caring. They're not going to care that you left. If anything, they'll be glad that you're gone." Lucifer said.
"Try explaining that to my human side and his family," Danny added.
"I'll talk to them about it. Get your things, Lilith." Lucifer said.
She nodded and walks over to her bed. Lucifer looks around and notices that she didn't have a lot of things in her room. She had a bed, a dresser, and a window, but that was it. The Fentons let her use the guest room, though she doesn't have to sleep. Still, it had a lot more than what this room does. She walks over to the dresser and opens it. She narrows her eyes, seeing that Lilith barely had any clothes. It didn't matter that they claim this girl as her daughter, this was not how people raise their young.
"I'm ready."
Lucifer turns and saw that all she had was her bear and notebook. She frowns even more.
"Danny, why don't you take her back to Fenton Works? I need to have a talk with the owner." Lucifer said.
"Are you sure? I barely know how to use your power." Danny asked.
"I'm sure you can handle it. Now, get going." She said, heading for the door.
Danny sighs before placing a hand on Lilith's back.
"My human half will be confused about what's happening, so I want you to explain everything the best you can to him." He said.
Lilith nods before Lucifer kicks the door open, destroying the many locks it had. Danny shook his head. They were treating her like a prisoner.
"Let's go." He said, leading her out.
And stopping her. So, everyone react to Danny's demon form and I brought the little girl back. After finishing the last chapter, I started to think about the little girl and came up with a backstory for her. Her parents gave her up after she was born and didn't name her. She was kept in the orphanage but wasn't treated like the rest. She was locked up in her room for the earlier years of her life, though some kids did help raise her, so she knows how to read and write. And yes, Lucifer and Demon Danny are taking the girl in, though it will come off more as kidnapping than adoption. I also made her in reference to Danny's and Lucifer's daughter in my first group of Danny Phantom/Helltaker crossover.
