It took Danny and Lucifer a few minutes to shove the Hellhound back into the portal before Danny shut it down. Jack and Maddie sigh, remembering that their portal was now connected to Hell instead of the Ghost Zone. This also means that demons will come out of the portal every time it was left on.
"Well, that takes care of that," Lucifer said, sighing.
"I'm still surprised that you saved Sam's parents," Danny said.
"Oh, they're going to feed to the Hellhounds once their lives come to an end. I prefer if they get eaten by trained ones, however." She said.
"Okay?" Danny said before turning to his parents.
"Unlike last time, I'm not going to stick around for a few days. I just wanted to help Lucifer catch the Hellhound. And maybe find a less painful way of transforming." He said.
"Painful?" Maddie asked, shocked.
"Don't bother, mom. My injuries from the transformation is already healed." Danny said before fire surround him.
Once it faded, Danny almost fell over, grabbing his head and his back waist.
"Augh, at least we agree on something," Danny said, rubbing the spots.
Lucifer sighs as she knew that things will become harder. She was lucky that none of the demons that knew her came through the portal. If they found out she lost her power, then Hell would be fighting over the throne. That was something she didn't want.
Everyone was surprised to hear a knock on the door upstairs and Lucifer put on her human disguise. They headed up and saw Jazz was staring in shock.
"WHAT?! They can't do that!" She shouted, causing the rest of her family to step up.
"Jasmine? What's wrong?" Maddie asked.
"Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, corrected? Officer Carman from the Amity Park police." The officer said.
"Sam's parents are trying to throw you two in jail for Illegal Animal Endangerment." Jazz said.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Illegal Aminal Endangerment?! Officer, whatever the Mansions told you, it's wrong." Danny said, not believing Sam's parents would go so far.
"Care to explain?" Officer Carman asked.
"That's going to be a bit hard," Danny said, turning to Lucifer.
"To put it simply, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton tried to open a portal to the Ghost Zone only to open to a different world that was far more dangerous. Out of safety for their family, as well as the town, they close it. However, we didn't expect something to break through the doors. It was about to cause some trouble until me and Danny decide to stop it." Lucifer said, making the officer turned to her.
"And you are?" He asked.
"Lucy Devilman. I just move here." She said.
"And where is this animal?" The Officer asked.
"We sent it back through the portal and turned it off," Danny said.
The Officer looks over the family before sighing.
"I'm sorry, but I have to take you in." He said, surprising them.
"But we did nothing wrong!" Jack said.
"It's not that I believe you, it's just that you don't have proof." Officer Carman said.
"What do we do?" Danny whispers.
"I doubt showing my real self is going to do anything," Lucifer added.
Suddenly, the TV turned on and the news was heard.
"This is Tiffany Snow with a news update. A strange unknown animal was attacking the town today and almost attacked a pair of people. However, rumors started that two beings, said to look like demons, suddenly appear and caught the beast. They have carried it off, after stopping a girl from trying to free the beast, and no one has seen it since. We don't know if this was related to the fight that was spotted last week, but it seems things in Amity Park are getting weirder by the day."
"That's the animal?" Officer Carman asked.
"Yes! See how it looks?" Danny said, quickly catching on.
"Does that look like some our parents would have?" Jazz threw in.
The Officer thought about it. The Fenton did make it clear that they were after ghosts and did want to keep people safe. And that creature wasn't a ghost. He also knew that the Fentons would never harm anyone. True, the Mansons and the Fentons never got along, but sometimes the Mansons can get carried away.
"Alright. I'll let you off with a warning this time." He said, causing the family to breathe in relief.
With that, he left. Lilith step out of her hiding place and walked up to her new family.
"That was you that turned on the TV did you?" Danny asked.
"Yes." Lilith nodded.
"Nice work," Danny said, smiling.
"You sneaky little devil," Lucifer smirks.
"Well, we might as well get busy," Maddie said.
"Doing what?" Jazz asked.
"It's clear that we can't keep the portal close all the time. And we have to refine our weapons to help catch any demons that come out of the portal." Maddie said.
"You want to help me?" Lucifer asked.
"Well, this is kind of our fault. Might as well try to make up for it." Jack said.
"Plus, we still have to find the pieces of your powers. Dash was lucky, but who can say the others will be?" Danny told her.
Lucifer nodded. For an odd family, they seem willy to help. Even if they are the only ones to know who she really is.
Nasty Burger,
Lucifer still couldn't get over how tasty the food was here. It was no pancake, but it was delicious!
"Wow! I don't think I even see a look like that before! It's like she's in total blessed!" Tucker said.
"You should have seen her when she ate mom's pancakes." Danny threw in.
Sam frown, clearly upset with what happened.
"Sam, we told you about the Hellhound. What did you think that was going to happen when you tried to free it?" Danny said, knowing she was still thinking about that.
"I could have done something," Sam said, making Danny roll his eyes.
"And what could you do? Lucifer said it was untrained. A wild beast. It nearly bit your face off!" Danny told her.
Sam looks away, causing Danny to sigh.
"I still can't believe that Sam's parents try to have yours arrested!" Tucker said, bring up something else.
"I know Sam's parents don't like mine very much, but that's going too far," Danny said.
"Tell me about it." Sam groans.
"It's clear that they care more about money than people. Greed is the root of all evil." Lucifer said.
"And don't you encourage that?" Sam asked her.
"Some of the time. But since turning Hell into a business, I come to understand Greed a bit better and it wasn't as neat as I thought." Lucifer said.
"If there's anyone that might agree with you, it should be Tucker," Sam said, smirking at the Techno-Greek.
"And what does that mean?" Tucker asked, glaring.
"Hey, you're the one that comes up with ideas to strike it rich. It's just too bad that you don't think your plans through." Sam said.
"I do so!" Tucker said, glaring.
"Really? How the time you tried to prove Bigfoot was real?" Sam asked.
"That wasn't my fault. Though, it was kind of funny seeing Dash getting caught in my traps." Tucker said before snickering.
"True," Sam said, remembering how funny it was seeing Dash trying to mess with them, only for karma to catch up to him.
"What about time you tried to get money to head for Lake Loch Ness?" Danny brought up.
"That...was my fault," Tucker said, ducking under the table.
"How?" Lucifer said, having a feeling this was good.
"Well, this goofball here was trying to raise money to head to Lake Loch Ness under the disguise for his mom's bakery. We knew better and confront him about it." Sam said.
"Tucker tried to play it off, but we knew him. We confront his mom about it, and she told us she had no bakery! He was using his mom in one of his plans, clearly forgetting what would happen when she finds out." Danny said.
"Let me guess, you told the truth and she was furious?" Lucifer asked.
"If you thought my and Sam's parents were loud when they argued, then you haven't heard Mrs. Foley," Danny said, flinching a bit.
"I can still hear her," Sam said, rubbing her ear.
Lucifer shook her head. A child using their parents for money? That was a dumb thing to do.
"Mom grounded me for a week and took away my PDA. I had to return everyone's money. I was five dollars short for the trip!" Tucker whines.
"It wouldn't matter, Tuck. People are bound to ask your mom about it. Only she would have found out about it much later." Danny said.
Tucker frowns before sitting back up.
"I get your point." He said.
"I have to admit, I never really cared about people on Earth, but I'm starting to see why you three are friends," Lucifer said.
"Why? Because you don't have any friends?" Sam asked.
"I have a friend," Lucifer said.
"You do?" Danny asked, surprised.
"Yes, she calls herself Justice. I never really understood why, but she was a nice demon to talk to. She's a little action prom, but great to talk to if I even need a break. Demons might not get along in hell, but Justice was just too much fun to hate. It was a little sad to see her lose her eyes." Lucifer said, sighing.
"She lost her eyes?" Tucker asked.
"More like she lost her sight. But she hasn't let her stop her. After helping her get used to it, she was back to normal. Calls herself the Awesome Demon now. She even trained a new demon to take over for her old job." Lucifer said.
"And what was her old job?" Danny asked.
"The High Prosecutor of Hell," Lucifer said, shocking Sam.
She might not be a big believer, but she did know a few things.
"A High Prosecutor of Hell?! The kind of person that judges everyone based on their sins?!" Sam asked.
"I need some way to keep those souls in line. It's not as easy as you think." Lucifer said.
Sam looked ready to say something, but Danny stops her.
"She's the devil, Sam." He reminds her.
"And don't you forget it," Lucifer added.
Paulina notices the four, frowning at the sight of Lucy. Ever since she came to school, many people couldn't stop mentioning how pretty she was. How she was filled with more grace and beauty than her. And how some thought she was going to become Queen of Casper High! That was her title!
"See? Your power is threatened. If she stays, then you will lose it."
Paulina could only growl before leaving. She stomps into the bathroom before walking towards a mirror. She looks into it, only for something else to stare back.
"The longer she remains, the more power you'll lose. Do you want that?"
"No. I'm tired of hearing everyone saying she's better than me! She hangs out with Fenton and his friends! I wouldn't be caught dead with them!" Paulina said, growling.
"Then it's time. Do we have a deal?"
Paulina looks at the creature before smirking evilly.
"Deal." She said, causing her eyes to turn red.
And another chapter for Danny and Lucifer. A little aftermath and some hang-out time with the four. However, it seems that Paulina has another piece of Lucifer's Power. It will be a bit before Lucifer and Danny fight her. I even mention Justice in this chapter, but she won't show up. She is going to get her own stand-alone story with Danny, but I'm going to hold off on that. I want to finish my other two stand-alone Helltaker/Danny Phantom, along with this one, as well.
