Chapter 1271 Answers

Everyone watched as Emma walked away with a lot of money by giving the shop the Flamelord Deer's antlers. She had completed the mission and in one fell swoop taken away tens and thousands of Fire coins. That was simply incredible for everyone to watch.

Ning looked at his daughter from behind as she walked away with a bright smile on her face, which caused him to be even more suspicious of what had actually happened.

Once they were out, he couldn't immediately ask her as many people followed her in what they believed was a secret.

Any other time, Ning would have loved to let these people follow him and find a place to quickly teach them a lesson for some entertainment, but right now, he was worried for his daughter and didn't want that.

The Continental Sword flew out and he swung it behind. As he did, a large screeching sound escaped his sword, striking select individual's ears with a frequency that made them all collapse to the ground at once.

He then turned around and looked at the people that were on the ground. "Anyone that follows us from here on out is forfeiting on their life," he said. "Follow us and I will kill you."

The men and women backed off in fear, still holding onto their ringing ears in pain as they ran away. The crowd backed off a bit as well in fear, confused as to what had just happened.

"What's going on?" Emma asked with a surprised look. She had never seen her father freak out like that. She worriedly looked to him for an answer, and he turned around to look at her for the answer.

"You tell me what's going on!" he asked. "How the hell did you get the Flamelord Deer's antlers? Did you hurt it? Did you kill it? That's the only way to get the antlers."

"No!" Emma said quickly. "Why would I ever do that?"

Ads by Pubfuture

"Then? How did you do it?" Ning asked.

Emma smiled. "I remembered something that I could do as a Will back on Earth and wondered if I could do it here as well," she said.

"Do what?" Ning asked.

"Control Qi and Mana to my will," she said. "Not only that, I can create things to the best of my ability as a Will. After practicing for a while, I can now create things that not just have a physical body, but also have Qi or Mana in them."

"Okay…" Ning said. "And…?"

"And… when I saw the deer today, I didn't want to hurt it," she said. "But… I also wanted the deer's antlers. And so… I wondered… if I could perhaps do the same with Essence as well."

"Lo and behold, I can," she said excitedly. "It takes a lot of my energy, but I can make stuff out of Essence easily."

Ning stared for a moment. "What?" he asked, unable to believe what he was hearing. "You can create items with Essence?"

"Yes," Emma said. "Well, it's a little weird. I can use my own energy to convert it to Essence and then create matter out of it. It does leave me quite tired though. Once we go back, I'll have to go back home for a bit to gather some energy before coming out."

"How… does that make sense?" Ning couldn't help but ask. It was true that he hadn't cared much about Wills aside from what they did, and Planetary wills more so than not seemed like normal humans, so they weren't even that important for him to think about.

All that he cared about them was the fact that they were will, and as such, Emma would most likely live for as long as Earth and its inhabitants themselves lived on.

"But… but Essence isn't your energy," Ning said. "How can you…" He needed answers. "System! What is going on?" he quickly asked.

This is normal. Wills are able to create any sort of energy as they wish.

Ads by Pubfuture

"What? Any?" Ning asked. "Is that not outside of the rules of the universe or something?"

No. All of it is perfectly fine. The rule comes into place when they do things that tamper with the souls of regular humans.

Or at least harm it to the point where it can no longer reincarnate

"I… see," Ning said softly. He still had a lot of questions in his mind, so he walked back to the hotel while gathering his thoughts.

"Is everything right, papa?" Emma asked.

"Yes, Everything is alright," Ning said. "It seems I just had no idea about this stuff. You said you used your own energy to create the Flamelord Deer's antler?" "Yeah, I feel weird not having my energy with me. I wasted so much during the practice," Emma said. "I will need to practice to become efficient at turning my energy into Essence precisely."

Ning nodded. "So you want to go back," he said.

"Yeah, for just a moment," she said. "Can Umbra come with me?"

Ning shook his head. "You'll be in there for mere minutes. That is not long enough time for Umbra," he said.

"Oh right," Emma remembered. "I'll try my best to come back in a few minutes. How long will that last outside?"

"About half a month," Ning said. "Maybe more. I'll let the system notify me when you're ready to leave."

"Okay," Emma said. "Send me back."

Ning waved his hands and Emma disappeared. She went back to Earth where she immediately started absorbing the energy that came out of the Qi Origin of the planet.

Ning then took Umbra and the children to the hotel's beast repository where he let them stay and mentioned that he likely wouldn't come for her for a while as he planned for something.

Hearing that, Umbra was understanding. Besides, she was used to this by now.

Ning went up to his hotel room and quickly closed the door before sitting on the bed. Then, every question he had thought of came regurgitating out.

Chapter 1272 Questions

"How does it work?" Ning asked as the very first question he wanted an answer to. "How does a Will change energies at their will?"

Just as a Host of the Energy system can change one energy into another energy. Only, the ones with the System are only allowed to change it to regular energies. Not the unique ones

"What?" Ning was a little confused when he heard that. "I can convert energies? But isn't that…"

He paused for a second. Now that he thought about it, that was true. He had been converting one energy into another.

The very first skill he ever bought for himself instead of asking the system to do something was the Candle Fire skill.

It was a technique that turned the energy inside of him into fire. Converting pure unadulterated energy into heat energy.

When he thought some more, he also had a skill that could convert Yin to Heat, or more accurately Qi to Heat. That was the conversion of energy as well, that too from unique energy to regular energy. He thought for a moment, thinking of other examples that were there.

He had converted many things into many other things throughout his history. He had simply never thought of it as converting energy. The system simply did it, so he didn't think much about most of what he did.

"But I can't turn regular energy into unique energy, can I?" he asked. He knew that to be the case, but given the situation, he thought it best to confirm it once again.

Yes. A host of the Energy System cannot convert regular energy into unique energies

Ning nodded. That was to be expected. But…

"What about when… uh… wait, is Nuclear energy the last? Or is there other energy after that? That's what Nigel told me," he said.

Ads by Pubfuture

Yes, Nuclear Energy is the final energy that you have to unlock before you unlock everything.

"Okay, once I unlock that and I complete these quests that the creator has put on in the system for me, Do I finally become able to convert normal energy to unique energy?" he asked.

No. A host of the Energy System will never be able to do that, no matter the level he has reached in the system

"I see," Ning said. That was a little disappointing for sure. He had hoped that would be the case, but it turned out otherwise.

"In that case, let me ask my other question then," Ning said. "Can all Wills convert regular Energy to Unique energies? Like Emma just did."

No, Wills aren't capable of that. What they are capable of is converting the Pure Energy that forms them into other types of energy, including Unique energies.

"Oh, so they cannot do it with regular energy?" he asked.

No, they are not capable of that. They are however capable of turning regular energy into pure energy for themselves, so long as they remain in their own system.

Ning nodded. "I think I'm getting it a little," he said. He thought about what he wanted to ask next and another burning question came into his mind.

"Can she create other forms of energies as well then?" he asked. "She hasn't been t an Aether world, so can she create Aether?" You mean convert. She cannot convert her pure energy to Aether energy as she is not aware of what it is. She has only converted it to Essence energy because she has spent the past decade in this world and her body has adapted to it.

"Uhh… does her body have to adapt?" Ning asked.

She does not need to be adapted. She just needs to either belong to the world the energy is from, or experience the energy in one form or another.

"Oh," Ning said. "So I can't ask her to heal Saphandra and the others when they overexert themselves? That's a little sad."

She can use her pure energy to heal them, but she needs to train for it.

"Huh? You can use pure energy to heal the spirits?" Ning asked.

Ads by Pubfuture

That is how you've been healing them.

"Oh, right. I have been doing that with my Spirit Space. For some reason, these new pieces of information are making me question everything I ever knew," Ning said.

It was truly the sort of information to send your who train of thought into disarray. He gathered the pieces he could and landed on another question.

"Spirits, let's talk about them. Why are they healed by Pure Energy?" he asked.

Because their body is pure energy

"Huh?" Ning didn't believe that. He thought for a moment and asked, "Then why can she absorb Spiritual Energy?"

Because she is formed from Spiritual energy, but her body can only accept that to form herself. She is capable of converting Spiritual energy into Pure energy. Similarly, she is also capable of turning Pure energy into Spiritual energy

"Woah! That is a lot of information you just threw at me," Ning said. "So… Spirits have a pure energy body? But they can't absorb other forms of energy, because they are born from that one energy."

He contemplated on it for a moment and one piece of information in there seemed too suspicious for some reason.

"Wait a second, did you just say that Spirits are capable of creating Spiritual energy from Pure energy?" he asked.

The ones that were born from Spiritual energy, just as the ones you brought along, are capable of such a feat.

"So spirits from the Qi worlds could covert Pure energy into Qi are well?" he asked.

Yes.

"How?" Ning asked. "You told me not even 2 minutes earlier that only Wills are capable of that."

No, the system never said that. The system only said that Wills is capable of doing the same.

"So what? A Spirit is a kind of Will too?" he asked.

No. Quite the opposite

"The opposite?" Ning thought for a moment as his expression changed visibly. "Are you saying… Wills… are a kind of Spirit too?"

Chapter 1273 Omniverse

Yes, Wills are spirits as well

That was not something Ning had expected to learn today at all. Wills and Spirits seemed so vastly different from one another that he never really thought about how they could be the same at all.

"So… Wills are spirits, but spirits are not Will. I'm getting that correct, aren't I?" he asked.

Yes.

"So… that means there is the possibility that other things aside from wills and those spirits formed from Spiritual energy or Qi that also counts as spirits, isn't there?" he asked.

There are.

Ning smiled a little. "What are they?" he asked. 𝒏𝒐ν𝔢𝑙𝐛𝓲𝓷.𝙣𝔢𝒕

There are way too many different types of spirits to explain the types. Would you like to buy the information instead directly?

Ning thought for a bit. "Sure, give me the list of all types of spirits," he said.

A wave of knowledge flowed into his mind as a piece of information took hold of his brain that couldn't help but surprise him to his core.

"This… this can't be…" he said, surprised beyond his wildest days. "Nascent Souls and Essence Souls are spirits as well? I knew they weren't actually souls but… to think they were spirits." That was what the knowledge he received had said. It felt wrong to believe that. How was that possible that they were spirits as well?

"Am… am I a spirit as well?" he asked. He tried to find information regarding that in the piece of knowledge he received and found it blank… for something. There was missing information, he could tell.

It talked about all forms of spirits, except what he could only believe to be a single type of spirit.

And he thought that was himself. A piece of Energy. A spirit.

Ads by Pubfuture

You are not a spirit. Merely an imitation of one.

"Oh," Ning said with a disappointed voice, but then, his eyes switched a bit. "Oh…" He realized that if he wasn't a spirit then there was still something missing in the information that he had received.

At the same time, another piece of information sprung up in his mind from a time as far in the past as he could think of.

"I am not a soul, correct?" he asked.

You are correct

"But I am basically one," he said. "An imitation of one." The system remained silent. He waited for it to answer him when the piece of information that was missing from him was filled up.

Soul was a type of spirit as well.

And from what Ning understood here, it was the original and most important spirit of all.

Congratulations. You have unlocked access to the knowledge that governs life and consciousness throughout the omniverse.

Ning's eyes widened in happiness. He couldn't believe that he had just unlocked something that he didn't even know was hidden from him.

"What were the requirements for this?" he asked.

Learning that Souls are a form of Spirits as well, albeit completely different.

"I see," Ning said. "Is this the only way of finding out?"

There are many ways, including being told by other Hosts. Anything would've worked.

"I see," Ning said, with the smile on his face never fading at all. "Omniverse… that's… have I heard of that before?"

The host named Nigel mentioned it to you

Ning thought back to the time when he was a little girl who had just woken up from being experimented on for eons.

Ads by Pubfuture

"Oh right, she did. She mentioned something about the Energy System being the best in all of the Omniverse," he said, only now remembering the words. "Is that different from multiverse? Or is that just the same thing but with a different name?"

They are not the same thing at all. The Multiverse is separate instances of the Realm of Matter. It exists apart from each other, each instance a Universe, and beings with souls and spirits live inside of it.

The Omniverse is the combination of not just the Realm of Matter, but also the other two realms that surround it.

Ning gulped. "What… what are the two other Realms?" he asked.

The Realm of Energy and the Realm of Souls

"The Realm of Energy…" Ning repeated to himself. "What is this place? Is this the one where I die?"

The Realm of Energy is a verse that is made up of nothing but energy. It's not something that can be quantified into words. The System is also not allowed to explain anything about it unless you come into contact with it somehow.

"I see," Ning said. "But it is the verse where I can die."

It is a realm of pure energy, where old energy is destroyed and new ones form every single second. Even explaining it through the usage of time fails to explain it, as the Realm of Energy does not have the concept of time

It exists in a moment that lasts forever.

Ning couldn't wrap his head around the explanation at all. "Okay… what about the Realm of Souls?" he asked. "How does one go there? Origin and Black Holes lead to a Realm of Energy. What leads to the Realm of Souls?"

Souls. Only souls can go to the world of souls.

"Oh, how do they go there?" he asked.

The Souls use the energy that they are made up of to open a path back to the Realm of Souls

"Wait, wait, wait, wait," Ning said quickly. "Souls… can produce energy now? Since when?"

… They are spirits. And as has been mentioned before, Spirits are made up of Pure Energy and can use it.

"Ah, right," Ning said. 'My bad. Too many things going on in my head right now. Continue."

That is it

"That's it?" Ning asked. "Souls just go in and out?" Yes. When a soul leaves a body, it passes to the Realm of Souls where it remains for a while until it is ready to come back again.

That is also what is known as the Reincarnation Cycle

Chapter 1274 Triangle of Existence

Reincarnation Cycle. The cycle which kept a human continuously coming back to life in a new body was something Ning knew was a thing for a long time and had even made use of it to find Hyesi.

There were many things he didn't know about it, however, and only now was he figuring them out.

"A soul leaves the Realm of Matter, which is our universe, and goes out to the Realm of Soul," Ning repeated what the system said. "Then it comes back. I think I understand a little."

He thought about what he had heard about the reincarnation cycles throughout his life and it made sense based on what he had heard for now.

But… there were a few more questions regarding the cycle he now wanted to know about. That was without mentioning the questions that had formed that he hadn't even gone toward.

"Ignoring the other questions I have for now, I want to know about exactly two different things," Ning said. "First, why does a soul forget memories? And what does a system help them remember through the reincarnation cycle?"

Those were the two main questions he wanted to learn about before any other questions were answered.

The system didn't answer for a second, making Ning think he had asked something he shouldn't have. Something forbidden. However, the system answered a moment later, but not the answer he was expecting.

To understand the answer to those questions, you will need to know of another piece of information that you learned just yet

"Hmm?" Ning got concerned. "What else is there for me to learn?"

There are 3 different parts in the puzzle of life, and you have only learned about two. Energy and Souls.

Ning's eyes widened slightly. "There's more?" he asked. What more could there be other than Energy and Soul? "Is it Matter?" he asked.

It is not Matter. The third part of this puzzle is Consciousness or better known as Intelligence

Where there is Energy and Soul, there is Intelligence. They are the triangle of Existence itself. Two cannot exist properly without the third.

Ads by Pubfuture

Souls are existences formed from pure Energy and they have Intelligence

Place enough Energy in a place and it forms its own intelligence, creating a sort of soul, that is commonly known as a spirit.

Have just a Soul with Intelligence and it will learn to siphon off Energy of its use, either drawing from the surrounding or from itself.

That is the Triangle of Existence, the three pieces of puzzles that form life.

They cannot exist without each other

Ning's eyes went wide in shock when he heard that. He placed his chin onto his hands, leaning to try and process what he heard.

"Energy, Soul, and Intelligence," Ning repeated to himself. "One cannot exist without the other two. What if you take away one somehow?" 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝑒𝑙𝗯𝔦𝔫.𝒏𝔢𝒕

If the other two aspects as strong enough, they will create a new one. If they are not, they will cease to exist.

"Can you give, umm… some examples?" he asked.

As you wish.

The first example is none other than Death itself

Ning's posture got straighter when he heard the words. "Death?" he asked. "What are the three parts to death? I know Soul is there, and there is intelligence of course, but… where is the Energy coming from here? The Soul?"

Matter

Matter itself is energy. So is time. So is space.

Anything and every in the Realm of Matter is formed from Energy. So they all count for Energy

"Woah!" Ning thought."Go on."

Ads by Pubfuture

A human has all 3 aspects of the Triangle of Existence. They have Energy in their body, they have high Intelligence from their evolved brain and a soul that got into it, during the moments of the body's creation.

When a human is said to be killed, they do not receive damage to their Energy or Soul, but their Intelligence. Due to the damage to their body, their Intelligence or Consciousness is destroyed.

At that time, Triangle is broken and the connection between the Energy and the Soul is terminated. The soul leaves the body, making its way back to the Realm of Souls.

The Energy disintegrates into other forms to move on as well.

That is how death works. Destruction of the Triangle of Existence, defeating life itself.

"I see," Ning said. "So that's how death works." He had never truly thought about it enough to question how it worked, but there had been a thought in the back of his mind as to why exactly a soul left a body when the body was harmed.

Now he understood that it was because of the Triangle. Because the Intelligence in a human was destroyed, the Soul was no longer tethered to that body.

"So… if we can somehow introduce intelligence to a dead body, can the Soul move back?" Ning asked.

That is impossible

"Why?" Ning asked. "That makes perfect sense."

Because there is already another spirit forming in that body

Ning paused. "What?" he asked.

In the absence of the soul, the body forms another spirit with its own intelligence, completing the Triangle.

"That doesn't make any—"

However, this spirit is way too weak to sustain itself and the intelligence is no different from that of a rock. So, it quickly dies as it does with all forms of spirits

That alone, however, is enough to not be a place where a soul would want to stay. As a result, it very quickly leaves for the Realm of Soul.

A Soul rarely lasts in the Realm of Matter more than a few seconds, except under very rare circumstances where it finds another body to go to. That is very rare as most other souls would already have entered the Realm of Matter by then in search of new bodies.

Ning heard the explanation, thought about it, and immediately had his mind blown once again as he gave thought to the System's words that were just in passing.

"Wait a minute," Ning said as the information about spirits in his mind gave him the information he was looking for.

"Holy shit!" he couldn't help but say when he found it out. "Every single matter in the universe has a spirit?"

Chapter 1275 Perception and Singularity

In a way, yes. All matter in the Universe, or rather All matter in the Realm of Matter has a Spirit and an Intelligence.

However, even with that they are never truly just more than what they are. It all depends on the size of the Spirit and Intelligence

You need a lot of Energy condensed into one place to create a Spirit that can create an Intelligence large enough to think for itself.

Otherwise, they are just nothing more at all.

"But large amounts of Energy in a concentrated area can create spirits strong enough to matter, right?" he asked. "I can see that there are things like mountain spirit or lake spirit, are those the size you need? That massive?"

Spirits of mountains and seas are a little different at the fact that they are like Wills. They need the perception of the living to create a spirit like that. Without those perceptions, the mountain and seas can never be a single object and will thus forever be something small with its own tiny spirit and irrelevant knowledge.

Ning thought about what the system said for a bit and was surprised.

"They're like Wills?" he asked. "It's not categorized as Will in my knowledge."

They are the closest spirits as one can be to a Will. They have similar powers but on a smaller scale.

Of course, they also don't have as stringent requirements as Will has to form. Will need not only the perception of many of the beings with souls to view them, but also need a lot of Unique energy as well as an Origin to form.

"Hmm." He had always known about the 3 requirements for Wills, but he had never expected something like that to exist for other forms of spirits as well.

Ads by Pubfuture

"Can mountain ranges be spirits too?" he asked. "I mean, does the increase in Energy have any bearing on the amount of perception that is required to create a spirit of the mountain range?"

Larger size does impact it a bit, but not as much. If there are enough perceptions of a mountain range as a whole and not just the mountain, you will find it forming a spirit.

Of course, this is not always the case. Just having perception doesn't mean they will always create spirits. There also needs to be that opening where Spirits don't exist inside the matter.

Since most weaker spirits get destroyed on their own before forming another one immediately, it would require the moment where enough of them are destroyed for the Mountain or Sea's spirit to become real.

"Makes sense," Ning said, moving on to the next part of the question. "Why perception? What is it about perception that creates these souls? Even Wills."

There is no answer to that question. There is no answer to why perception matters in the creation of many of the spirits

All that can be certain is the fact that it has most likely something to do with the fact that Souls are the original spirits.

Other than that, it is possible that it requires the attention of something that exists. Something that is existing through the Triangle of Existence and has enough conscience to care about something other than itself.

However, none of the answers are accurate, and one can only guess why the perception of a living being matters at all

"Wouldn't the creator of the Energy System know?" Ning asked. "He made the system, so he should have some idea, right? Why would a Soul cause perception to matter?"

The Creator does not know.

"Even though he made something so great as the Energy system?" he asked. "Does he not know how souls work?"

The Creator came into existence after the Omniverse had already formed. When the creator was formed, Energy, Soul, and Matter were things that had existed.

Ads by Pubfuture

The Realms of Matter constantly begin and ends everywhere, so the Creator has had the opportunity to observe them

The Creator has always known about Energy, but he never managed to learn much about souls other than what the Creator observed.

"So he really doesn't know about anything regarding this matter, huh?" he asked. "Then I guess we can move on from this question, but I have one more to ask."

"You once told me that the Creator lives outside the infinite. Is that… the Omniverse?" he asked.

Infinite refers to the many Realms of Matter that are constantly made and destroyed. The Creator lives in the Realm of Energy that is just one and all.

"And the Realm of Souls is the same, right?" he asked.

The Realm of Souls is also the same as the Realm of Energy, just one and all.

Ning thought for a bit, trying to go back to questioning souls and memories, but there seemed something else that he desperately needed to understand.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but if all Matter, Space, and even Time is made up of Energy, then… the Realm of Matter, or as we know it as a Universe, is in contact with the Realm of Energy somehow, right?"

"Maybe not surrounded by the Realm of Energy, but at least in contact," he said. "How else could Realm of Matter form from Energy?"

You are indeed correct. Universes are surrounded by the Realm of Energy. Or more accurately, in places where Energy is concentrated very highly in the Realm of Energy, they collapse onto themselves before spreading out to form Realms of Matter If yᴏu ωant to read more chapters, Please visi̾t̾ 𝔫𝗼νℯ𝙡𝙗Ꭵ𝖓.𝑛𝔢𝒕 tᴏ experience faster update speed.

"Woah!" Ning couldn't help but say in surprise. "That's how they are created?"

'A large amount of energy collapsing onto itself…' he thought. 'The moment at the end of the Collapse, I wonder if that's what they call the singularity that burst forth to create the universe.'

This made him have another question, but that would have to wait in line, right in front of the questions about Souls and Systems.

"If the Universes are surrounded by Energy, how come they are also surrounded by Souls as well in such a way that they can come in and out easily?" he asked.

That is because the Realm of Souls surrounds them as well.

The Realm of Souls and the Realm of Energy overlap each other and exist in basically the same spot.

Chapter 1276 Shape of the Universe

"The same spot?" Ning asked curiously. "Do you mean as in they exist in the same space? Like two things that phase through each other."

Saying that they exist in the same space would be wrong as Space itself is not something that exists outside of the realm of Matter, but that analogy is the closest that could be used to explain their existence.

"I see," Ning said. "So, to get this straight, the Realm of Soul and the Realm of Energy is like a collection of soups with the occasional pieces of veggies that are the Realm of Matters."

It could be explained that way

"I get it now," Ning said, having a better idea now of how the world worked. However with that knowledge cleared up, the other questions that were in his mind started coming forward. And one of them was about the singularity that he had just heard of.

"So the universe is created from a singularity with so much energy that everything else including Space, Time, and Matter formed from it," he asked.

Yes

"And it continues to grow, correct?" he asked.

Until a certain point. The size of the universe is dependent on the amount of Energy that was there when it was created. It then grows until it has the power to push back the Energy surrounding it outside

The moment it can no longer push back the energy, it stops growing

Ning thought for a moment and asked, "How long into a universe's lifetime do you think this happens?" About 20% of the way through the creation of a universe, the size of the universe is already set up at that point.

"20?" Ning asked. "Really?"

Much less sometimes, even going so low as just 5% of its existence.

Ads by Pubfuture

"5%?" Ning found that quite hard to believe. "That would mean that a universe is as large as it could be just some time after its birth. Is that how it is?"

Yes

"Hmm, I don't know why I expected it to somehow take billions of years," Ning said. "Or is that the time frame we're talking about."

Very large universes can take billions of years to reach their full size, but regular universes do it in a couple hundred million years, or a billion or two years at best

Ning frowned a little when he heard that. Something about what he knew about the universe didn't match with what he was finding out.

"My universe, the one where Earth originally was," he said. "If I remember it correctly, it was a few billion years old when I was born there and left there, wasn't it?"

Over 25 Billion years old, yes.

"25? I thought it was 13-something. Anyway, not the point of the question," Ning said. "How large would you categorize that universe compared to the other ones."

Above Average

"Okay, and how long did that universe take to expand to its largest size?" Ning asked.

Around 6 Billion years into the making

"6 billion years?" Ning asked. Now that didn't make any sense to him. Or at least, whatever the humans thought they had figured out about the universe was completely incorrect. To be fair, they never did get to see the entire universe, only a portion of it so maybe it was a bit understandable.

Still, Ning wanted to know where the confusion was.

"If the universe stopped expanding around 6 billion years after its formation, then what happens to the galaxies that are thrust around the universe?" he asked. "is the universe so large that they still have ages to fill it entirely?"

No. Space and Matter grow at the same speed. By the time space is finalized, the matter will have already filled it up entirely.

Ads by Pubfuture

"That's… confusing," Ning said. "So if the universe is completely formed in 6 Billion years, then what about the matter? Does it suddenly stop at the edge of the Universe, or does it continue moving and smashing into the edge of the universe?"

"I guess I'm trying to learn what happens at the edge of the universe," he said.

The edge of the universe is a barrier that stops the Realm of Energy from affecting the Realm of Matter. There are ways for the energy to seep through to the Universe, and seep out of it, but there is never a direct opening through the barrier.

When the universe is to die, all matter, space, and time will enter the many black holes that would have formed and go back out into the Realm of Energy

As for the matter that is moving throughout the universe, they are already at the edge of the universe, and won't truly ever smash into it.

Ning paused for a moment. "They can never reach the edge of the universe?" he asked. "What do you mean?"

The shape of the universe just doesn't allow for matter to smash into the edge.

"Shape of the universe?" Ning asked. "It's a sphere, isn't it? I would assume it all expanded equally, so it should be a sphere. If not, an elliptical shape?"

The Universe's shape is neither sphere nor elliptical. It is instead a Myroptoid.

"A… what?" Ning asked.

A Myroptoid, otherwise known as Hypersphere, is a Four-Dimensional shape created by introducing another dimension to a Sphere.

Ning couldn't help but frown. "I don't think I get it," he said. "The Universe is actually Four-dimensional?"

It indeed is.

"How come we never knew that?" Ning asked. "How come we don't see the other dimension?"

Matter is 3 dimensional by nature. So any living being, no matter how powerful can never perceive the fourth dimension at all. Only Time and Space can interact in the four dimensions

"Only Space and Time?" Ning asked.

Energy and Soul too, but that is obvious as they regularly go in and out of the universe. It wouldn't be possible if they couldn't perceive the fourth dimension.

Ning felt frustrated. "What the hell does that even…" he sighed. "But didn't you say that we're already at the edge of the universe?"

"Can you explain what that means?"

Chapter 1277 Myroptoid and Perceivable Universe

Imagine a 2 Dimensional equivalent of a Myroptoid, also known as a Circle in a universe.

That circle will have two sections to it. One is everything inside the circle and one is everything outside.

The circle and everything inside represents the Realm of Matter, and everything outside is the Realm of Energy and Souls.

"Okay," Ning said, patiently listening to the explanation of the system.

The line of the circle itself is one dimensional as it had no width to it, but in overall it is two dimensional. Now, imagine a human of one dimension on the circle's line

To that one-dimensional human, the world around him would look one-dimensional as well. To him, there is a way to go front and a way to go back. To him, it looks like a regular world that can't go forever, as nothing can go on forever.

however, what this human doesn't realize is that because it is a 2-dimensional object, it can go on forever as it would be looping back itself. This means the human wouldn't ever be in an infinite world, but to him, it would appear so. If yᴏu ωant to read more chapters, Please visi̾t̾ 𝔫𝗼νℯ𝙡𝙗Ꭵ𝖓.𝑛𝔢𝒕 tᴏ experience faster update speed.

Ning frowned a little. He could see what the system was trying to say. Before he could ask something, the system continued. Now, take everything and push it up a dimension

You now have a 3-dimensional Myroptoid or a Sphere that is hollow on the inside, like a bubble.

Inside the sphere, on the surface of the sphere's wall now lives a 2 Dimensional human.

To this human, his world is on two dimensions as he can never truly see into the 3rd dimension. If he could, he could just look up and see that the other side of his world was always visible to him.

To the 2-Dimensional human, his world is 2 dimensional and he can only ever move in two dimensions. At that point, the inside of a surface becomes a 2 Dimensional world that never ends

No matter how hard the human tries, he will never find the edge of his universe and will always think that it is infinite. With the 2-dimensional galaxies moving around forever, he will also believe that the universe is constantly growing

"When in fact the sphere is already as large as it can be," Ning said.

Yes. Not only that but when the 2 Dimensional human also searches for the edge of the universe, he will never find it at all, since nothing will ever crash onto it

"He's already living on the side part of the surface of the universe," Ning said, his eyes growing slightly wide as he started understanding what the system was trying to say.

Now, we increase the dimensions by 1 more dimension.

"We have a Myroptoid, with me a 3 Dimensional human living on the inner surface of it," Ning said. "I perceive the world in 3 Dimensions, but what it truly is is a 4-dimensional universe."

yes. And no matter how far you travel, you will always be at the center of your perceivable universe as what you are perceiving is wrong from the very start

"Right…" Ning said, feeling a little shocked about it all. He knew he had questions, but it took some time to formulate them. He tried imagining the 4D Myroptoid, but his mind simply wasn't capable of it.

"Can you tell me what a Myroptoid is supposed to look like?" Ning asked. "I can't imagine the fourth dimension at all."

Absolutely

A small piece of knowledge appeared in Ning's head and he viewed it. As he did, his face changed to a bizarre one.

"What… am I looking at?" he couldn't help but ask.

A Myroptoid

"Yeah, but… what am I looking at? I can't see any visible shape at all," he said. It was something so weird and new that he didn't even understand the piece of information he had just bought.

The bizarre shape took his attention away for a while before he thought of another question to ask.

"My inner world. Is it this shape as well?" he asked.

No. Your Inner World is a Sphere, but with the property of a Myroptoid added to it to appear like a universe

"Hmm? What property?" he asked.

The property for something that arrived at the boundary to loop back onto itself.

"Loop… back?" Ning thought for a moment in surprise. "Is that why it loops back?"

In his inner world, when one kept flying to the edge of the size of the world, one would find themselves suddenly turned around, coming back from the other direction.

He was never certain why it worked, and System had only told him that it was how it worked. Today, he finally received the answer.

"Wait," he paused as one last thing didn't make sense. "If things loop back in my inner world, then… shouldn't light loopback as well? How come I don't see the sun in the night sky, glowing bright like stars."

If it were a normal universe, you might have. But as your inner world is nothing but a replica of the real universe, the boundary of the sphere is something that light can travel to in all directions and not just the fourth

"Huh?" he exclaimed at the sudden knowledge. "Wait, light travels in the fourth dimension as well?"

As Mentioned before, Space, Time, Energy, and Soul can all move through the fourth dimension

"What does that have to do with light?" Ning asked curiously.

Because Light is a form of Energy as well, so it is capable of going into the fourth dimension to escape out of the Realm of Matter

"And the boundary allows for all light and space to leave it?" he asked.

Light indeed passes through the boundary of your inner world, just like it passes the boundaries of the real universe.

So, you do not see the sunlight loop back onto Earth from many directions like stars in the night. That is the main reason why the Inner worlds were made Spherical and not Myroptoid

Chapter 1278 Souls, Memories, and System

Ning understood what it was that the system was trying to say. He could imagine numerous distant suns glaring at him that were reflected back in through the emptiness of his inner world.

Not only the light, but the radiation itself would cause a lot of problems if it all looped back around. The heat alone would cause more problems than one could imagine.

Ning couldn't imagine how bad it would be if space in his inner world was myroptoid instead of spherical.

"That makes me wonder," Ning said. "How does my inner world function exactly? Is it in a different space from this universe? Or is it like a spatial pocket in this universe?"

It is outside of this universe.

however, because you are in this universe, it exists just outside of this universe. As you are at the edge of the universe, your Inner world is right outside, attached to it

"Hmm… I see," Ning said, trying to think of how it would work. "The outer barrier is strong enough to never get destroyed, right?"

Yes

Even a Universal Will will never be able to do anything to the barrier.

"The Galactic one did leave behind some energy," Ning said. "Whatever, let's move on to the other question I had. About Souls and Systems, and how reincarnation removes memories. I am allowed to learn of this, correct?"

You are. And now that you know about the Triangle of Power, there is nothing stopping you from learning more.

"Go on then," Ning said. "I'm waiting."

A soul is capable of holding onto memories. However, that is only during the time it is still in the Realm of Matter.

However, those are just memories, and nothing else. The Soul itself has no Intelligence or Matter, so the memories don't play a significant part in a soul.

When a soul tries to break through the barrier of worlds, to go from the Realm of Matter to the Realm of Souls, it must use its own pure Energy that comes from within it.

Souls always get injured when breaking through this barrier, or coming in. That happens every single time, and in that process, they sometimes lose their memories.

When in the Realm of Souls, if they happen to have memories, they are still destroyed when the Realm of Souls tries to heal the damage that a soul gets.

"Damage? You mean the taint?" Ning asked. He remembered the owner of the beast's bloodline system disintegrating as his soul was way too damaged to return back to the realm of the souls.

"Those sorts of damage can be healed?" he asked. That was certainly the first time he had heard about it.

To a certain extent, but not completely. If the damage is low, it can be healed. If high, the Realm of Souls does its best to heal the soul, but that doesn't always become possible.

Sometimes, the damage remains and overtimes the damage accumulates to a point where healing a soul is no longer a possibility. If the soul ends up being way too damaged, there is nothing that can be done about it to revert it back.

"Then what? It just dies?" Ning asked.

No, the soul—even when damaged beyond repair—does the same thing it always does. It comes back to the Realm of Matter.

however, in this instance, due to its lack of energy, the soul cannot force its way into the world. It must find a weak spot in the barrier that protects the Realm of Matter and the Realm of Souls and go in through it.

"A weak spot? What sort?" Ning asked.

There are numerous locations with weak spots in the barrier of the universe that are caused by Souls that move in and out frequently. There are times when a soul is no longer strong enough to go through and it must try to break past, so it is forced to go strike the barrier to the Realm of Souls multiple times.

Those sorts of places are where the weak souls find their way to, and those weak souls then end up living there and doing the same in return, causing a loop of souls that continuously try to force their way to the other side, in turn creating an opening for weaker souls to come through.

These sorts of planets where the barrier is weak are usually called the garbage dump of the universe, as that is where the old souls go to die.

'Garbage dump…' Ning thought for a moment. Something about this felt familiar.

"Oh right," he remembered. "Nova had a similar soul, didn't she? One on the verge of being destroyed. I wonder how she's doing. Well, she must be dead already."

It wasn't fun knowing how long it had been since he had left the other universe. There was no doubt that almost all of them were dead.

"Anyway," Ning said. "I think I understand a little about how Souls lose their memories during reincarnation. What I don't understand is why they remember at all when they have systems. What lets them have memories?"

The memories are there by necessity for a system to function as well as it can. Someone who has no past memories or experiences doesn't make for a good host.

As a result, and due to following the path of the Energy system, the many Galactic and Universal Wills end up making systems with the sole intention of saving memories of those that the system attaches themselves.

They attach themselves to the souls as they leave while they still retain their memories, destroying most of them in the process and stealing their memories. So, while the soul doesn't retain any memories during reincarnation, the system does. That is what give reincarnators memories of their past life.

Ning stayed silent for a while, taking in the information. "That was quite informative. Thank you," he said. It felt as if he now knew everything he needed to.

"Although, I do have one final question," he said. "What is a system… exactly?"

Chapter 1279 Parasite

A System in a way is simply a power source that can emulate a spirit or a soul

In the same way a spirit or soul is made up of Pure Energy, so is a system. Similarly, it can also transform its pure energy into other various forms of energy

However, what it cannot do is collect other forms of Energy to convert it into Pure Energy to heal itself. A system can only fix itself with pure energy.

Ning thought for a moment and frowned a little. A System did sound a little too close to being a spirit with how it was made up of Pure Energy and even had some intelligence that grew from it.

He heard how it used the power in itself to do things that were otherwise impossible. 'So that is how it creates energy where there is no energy to create,' Alex thought. 'It takes it from itself.'

However, he saw another issue. "Surely a System doesn't have an unlimited power source," Ning said. "Does it never just run out of energy and die?"

The System can use Pure Energy to recover what energy it has lost, and fix itself.

"Sure, but isn't Pure Energy too hard to find?" Ning asked. "What sources of Pure Energy are there in this world?"

There are only so few, but the system is already attached to the best one

Ning's eyes widened in shock. "A Soul," he said. "But… how?"

Ads by Pubfuture

A System has to tear into a soul to make itself part of the soul. As a result, it is capable of siphoning off Pure Energy from the soul to heal itself.

"And doing so makes a soul even worse than it ever was?" Ning asked.

Yes.

A system made without much thought to its power is capable of tainting a newly formed soul so much that it simply fades away from existence without ever being able to go for the reincarnation cycle.

You could even call it a Parasite

Ning frowned a little. "You told me long ago that my wife's system isn't as egregious," he said. "Is that still the case?"

Her system is practically useless to her at this point, so there is no more harm that can be done to her soul than what is already done

"I see," Ning said. "That's good. What would I do if her soul was harmed and she was close to death?"

Nothing.

there is nothing you could do to fix the situation

"I see," Ning said. That was a dangerous situation that he didn't want Ely to be in. Thankfully, she was not in it, so there wasn't much for her to do.

He tried to think of anything else he could ask the system about what he had learned, but it would take some time for him to process what he had just learned right now.

He laid back on his bed, simply letting his mind roam around. He asked a few smaller questions to the system to clarify some things he was confused about.

With Space made from energy, he wondered if he could use Pure Energy to increase the size of his own Inner World. However, the system told him that wasn't possible.

Ads by Pubfuture

You needed so much energy to create space, stable space, that it just wasn't viable for the owner of the energy system. There was a means of increasing it, but the amount of energy it cost to increase the diameter of his inner space by even a fraction would cost him a lot.

His inner world has a diameter of around 280 Billion kilometers. Increasing that width by a single kilometer would mean adding a layer of space that spanned the spherical world which already had a volume of over 9.2 x 1034 cubic kilometers.

That much space would cost him in quadrillions if not quintillions of Energy.

Adding another kilometer after that would cost him even more as the space had to surround even more of the volume. As such, adding space to his Inner world would be an exponential nightmare at best and downright impossible at worst.

With Energy responsible for time as well, Ning wondered if he could somehow manipulate it as well with his system. But from what he realized, he could only do it in a small area of space and that would cost him a lot of energy as well.

He was already doing that previously with his storage space where time didn't flow. He also had the skills where he could perceive things at a faster rate and move to do the same, so he didn't bother to ask for more.

Not when there was something equivalent on the horizon for him.

After some further thought, Ning gave up on trying to figure out anything else regarding Energy and Soul for today and went to sleep.

Sleep after the long day surprisingly lasted the whole night for him. He wasn't tired or anything, not that he could ever be with the current body, yet he still slept the entire night.

He went downstairs to get some food to eat and went to go see how the two kids were doing and if they had something to eat.

He talked to Umbra for a few minutes before returning back to his room to spend his time there.

He was a little surprised that no one came to bother him at all. With what had happened with the Mayor, as well as Emma's earnings, he had expected people to be knocking on his doors at all times.

And yet somehow, no one was there at all.

Ning wondered if the fear he showed the people yesterday was a bit too much, but then again he liked this peace and quiet.

He returned back to his room and sat on his bed. With Emma gone for a few more days, he had time to spend by himself.

And for some reason, he saw nothing better to do with that time than to improve all 8 cores of his at once.

So he got to it.

Chapter 1280 Training

A few days passed at which time Ning finished reaching the Essence Manifestation realm in all of his cores but 2.

The Lightning and Sound cores made the most progress of all, and the other 4 only entered the Essence manifestation realm. As for the last 2, he never got to get to them.

Before he could begin doing anything for them, Emma sent him a message that she wanted to come back. Once she was out, he would have to do what he wanted some other time.

Emma looked around the room and quickly turned to her father. "How many days has it been?" she asked. "It's only been a few minutes inside."

"7 days," Ning said. "It's been an entire week."

"Woah!" Emma couldn't help but say. "Time really does move so fascinatingly fast outside. No wonder you spent months out here and only a few hours had passed inside."

She excitedly looked around. "What time is it? Lory and Lyra must've missed me," she said.

Ning didn't know what time it was himself and had to ask the system. "It's afternoon it seems," he said. "You can go meet them."

"Okay, I'll go take them out on a walk too," she said and was about to walk out when Ning caught her by her hand.

She paused and turned around. "What?" she asked.

"Your face," Ning said. "Hide it."

"Hmm?" Emma realized what was happening. She quickly put on a fake face that still looked like her real face but didn't give off the feeling of divinity that came with her being the Will.

Even outside of Earth, people would still be reverent towards her and she didn't want that.

"Is that fine?" she asked once her face was changed.

Ning nodded. "Come back here quickly though, I need to teach you how to make Essence items from your energy," he said.

Emma smiled brightly when she heard that. "You can teach me about that?" she asked.

Ning nodded. "My System can help with that," he said. "Now go, and let Umbra handle any trouble that might come along. You don't have to dirty your hands for it."

She smiled back. "I know." And then she left.

It was a few hours before Emma was back. She walked into the room and was about to come further in when Ning stopped her.

"You're dragging in mud," he said.

"Huh?" she looked down. "Oh, sorry. It just started raining outside." She moved her hand so that the layer of mud around her feet disappeared. Even the footsteps that she left on the wooden floor were cleared up.

She swirled her fingers once again and her clothes dried at once. Then she walked in and quickly sat in her bed, looking excitedly at her father.

"Teach me," she said excitedly. "I'm ready."

Ning smiled back. "It is simple really," he said as he brought out a small orange item from his storage and tossed it to her.

Emma looked at the item in her hand curiously. It took a moment for her to realize what it was. "Is this a conduit?" she asked.

Ning nodded. "An Explosion conduit," he said. "I got a few of them while you were away. Try and see if you can copy that without wasting away all of your energy."

"Oh," Emma said, somewhat dejected. "I thought you were going to teach me how to do it entirely."

Ning shook his head. "I'm not like you," he said. "I cannot make this. I cannot create Essence."

"Oh, right," Emma said.

Ads by Pubfuture

"I do have tips though," Ning said. "I told you my system was going to help you."

He had asked the system many questions and now he was ready to give her the tips. "The first thing you need to do is understand the type of Energy you are dealing with," he said.

"I have to understand Essence," Emma said and nodded her head. She hadn't done much, but she was ready for it.

"No, not Essence," Ning said. "Well, yes Essence, but stop thinking of it like you are learning about Essence. Forget about Qi, and forget about mana."

"For this, you cannot categorize them."

Nova looked at him. "Why not?" she asked.

"Because Essence in this world, is not the same as Essence in some other world. Qi in this world would not be the same as Qi on Earth, same goes for Mana."

"Every universe has its own set of rules on how the unique energy that seeps through the cracks interact, and this prevents you from using information from one universe to another."

"There are similarities, yes, but the differences are there as well. It could be the different difficulties in breakthrough, the different methods of usage, the different method to acquire the energy, anything." 𝚗𝘰ѵ𝒆𝒍𝚋Ꭵ𝔫.𝓷𝑒𝒕

"Anything could be different and for that very reason, you can treat each energy differently. So ignore all previous ideas about the types of energy you had and try to understand just this one."

"Just the Essence of this Universe."

Emma looked like she wanted to ask a question, but she didn't. She looked down and started using her own Essence to see if she could use the conduit.

As she focused, Ning put up a barrier around the two of them so that they didn't accidentally explode the entire building.

Once done, he looked at his daughter and smiled. He knew what she had wanted to ask. It was the same curiosity he had when the system had told him what to say.

Why did the same energy manifest differently in different universes? And yet the same in from different spots in one universe.

The answer apparently lay in the shape, size, and mass of the universe itself. The answer was so complex that Ning could barely understand what he was told.

However, at its core, the answer was that each universe was different, and as such each one had a different possibility of what came out of each unique energy.

Aside from a handful of unique energies, most other forms the invading pure energy took were unique across different universes as well.

That was something he was going to have to have his daughter understand soon.

:)
