Hey everyone, TheKingHHH100 here with a new story! Today, we're going to delve into the legend and origins of the two legendary Dragon-types from the Unova region, Zekrom and Reshiram, and how they came to split from being the same being. For the record, this is not how their actual legend goes nor the canonical reason for their split, I just wanted to create a horror tale using their origin for inspiration. As always let me know what you think and if you liked the story please consider leaving a review, adding to favorites and following if you're already not. Anyways, on to the story!

It all started on what seemed to be just a regular day at first, when I went to visit my Grandma at Icirrus City. She used to tell me stories while I stayed in her house, and this time she told me about an old tower, known as Dragonspiral Tower, located in the northeast of the city. She mentioned that there was a Legendary Pokémon living inside, one which was supposed to be strongest of them all because it represented both light and darkness, truth and ideals. She said that upon creating those, the Pokémon went to rest at this tower.

My Grandma told me to never go near that tower, as no one was supposed to disturb that Pokémon's slumber. I promised her I wouldn't go there and she gave me a knowing smile, but for the rest of the day I couldn't get that tower out of my head. Something was telling me, no, urging me to go and so, in the night, I sneaked out of her house and headed towards that place.

I brought along my only Pokémon, an Archeops that used to belong to my father, but after he passed away it was all that remained of him as he had left me his Pokémon so it would protect me after he was gone. I got on top of Archeops and we flew to the entrance of the tower. It wasn't as easy to get there, as wild Pokémon kept on attacking us almost in a coordinated manner, like they didn't want us going inside the place.

Fortunately, Archeops was strong enough to take them on and made them faint, then once we went into the tower, the wild Pokémon stopped appearing. I didn't notice at the time, but that should've told me something wasn't right. I began to climb up the long stairs of the tower, which was an oddly quiet place. I was a bit scared by this, but I paid no mind to that feeling and forced myself to continue all the way to the top.

At first, it was an easy climb, however the closer I got to the top floor, the more I felt an intense heat going around despite it being a rather cold winter night. I was starting to get a little dizzy by this, but I continued nonetheless and managed to get there with a bit of an effort, yet it seemed like something was drawing me there, calling for me and even encouraging me to ascend.

To my surprise, once I got to the top floor the radiating heat seemed to suddenly vanish, replaced by a cold shiver that ran through my spine as I looked up at what was in there. A gigantic Pokémon stood in front of me, it's scales and wings making it seem like a mix of an angel and a dragon. It was of an undefined color, a mixture of black and white, and it seemed to be in a deep slumber, just like my Grandma had told me.

I was paralyzed at the sight of this majestic creature, but something within me was telling it was time to go away, before it could wake up. However, a nagging feeling was stronger in me as it told me to approach this Pokémon, that I had to be as close to it as possible and that nothing would go wrong. Boy, I should've listened to the other feeling.

Of course, if I'm telling this it's because I completely ignored my warning feel and steadily went close to that dragon-like Pokémon, wanting to take a closer look and maybe even touch it. Then, as I stood in front of the resting giant, I caught glimpse of a strange orb-like object on the Pokémon's chest. It was bigger than my own head!

Curiosity got the better of me once again and, not content with having broken my promise of not going into the tower and having gotten as close as possible to that large Pokémon, I decided to grab that orb, which seemed to be what was calling upon me to take it. Big mistake. As soon as I touched it, the giant dragon woke up, it's eyes opening wide and showing a blue color, which then changed into a red one and continued shifting back and forth as it looked at me.

The Pokémon was huge as it stood tall above me, seemingly enraged that I tried to steal its orb. I was immensely scared of this giant, angry-looking monster in front of me and quickly began to run away, not realizing I still had the orb I took in my hands. The monstrous Pokémon went after me and let out a mighty roar as I tried to go down the stairs, causing for the entire tower to shake and the stairs to crumble down from the sheer force of the vibrations. I fell down all the way back to the ground floor, miraculously surviving somehow, though a bunch of debris felt on top and covered me. I still think that's what saved me from that monster, though I don't exactly recall what happened next as I lost consciousness from the impact. Well, I figure that the dragon Pokémon most've destroyed part of the tower's roof as well, and then used its huge wings to fly away.

When I woke up, I had no idea how long I passed out, then managed to break free from the pile of debris and took out my Archeops to fly back to Icirrus City. What I saw as we flew above the city still gives me nightmares today, as I watched the entire place in ruins, houses were burning, with charred and mutilated corpses piled on top of another. Every citizen seemed to be dead, no survivor left, only their organs and half-eaten bodies remained. All of that was so horrible to watch, I puked my guts out at the sight of it. I couldn't take it anymore and told Archeops to fly me away from there.

As we flew over the place, I noticed what seemed to be a long trail of blood, which went out of the city and continued in direction towards Mistralton City. We headed towards that place and found the culprit of such atrocity, which of course was none other than the same Pokémon from the tower. It seemed even bigger than I recalled it and was chewing on to something, though I wasn't close enough to make out what it was. I really wish I could forget this sight at least, but I was able to tell what that monstrous creature had in its mouth, people. That thing had a bunch of corpses in its mouth and was munching who I think were the citizens of Mistralton, just like it had previously done in Icirrus.

Have you ever pick a bunch of ketchup-bathed fries and just casually shoved them into your mouth? That's what this thing was doing, only with real people instead. You could picture the blood spilling out of its mouth along with the occasionally remaining parts, such as arms and legs, since it barely could munch the amount of corpses in its mouth before devouring them. Sometimes, even a half-eaten torso that didn't fit amongst the others fell off its mouth, it was just disturbing to watch.

That's when I realized what had happened in Icirrus City and why I found so many mutilated corpses, and that trail of blood that led me here. This thing had eaten everyone, only leaving the body parts that fell from its mouth as if they were just a bunch of snacks for it. The monster continued to feast on all those corpses, until its voracious appetite was satisfied, all as I watched in a state of horror and shock, unable to do anything about it. Then, once it was done eating the entire population of Mistralton, it simply took off and flew away, presumably to the next city to repeat the cycle.

Fortunately, it didn't seem to notice my presence as it left, as I stood there frozen in fear and began crying in despair. After that monster left, all I could do was fly back to my home at Undella Town. Upon arriving, my mom rushed out to hug me as she cried tears of joy, thinking I had died like everyone else back in Icirrus City. I explained to her what happened and how it was all my fault, feeling responsible for the deaths of so many innocents, as I broke into tears myself. She comforted me and said that there was nothing I could do about now, then told me to go inside the house to rest.

Rest was not something I could gain, as for many days afterwards all I could hear on the television was news of this monstrous creature running rampant all over the region, killing everyone and destroying everything on its path. Even trying to tune out and not watch anything didn't help, as when I sleep all I dreamed about was nightmares about how that Pokémon killed everyone. Sometimes I was there to watch it but couldn't move, just like in Mistralton City, and other times it came after me and ate me, my mother or everyone I knew.

I knew it was just a matter of time before those visions became reality, and I couldn't just sit there and wait for that monster to come for us. There was only one thing left for me and that was try to stop this Pokémon, and perhaps I did know how. I still had that orb I took with me and figured that, if it had awakened it in the first place, perhaps destroying it would cause the creature to go back into slumber or die, or just do anything other than killing and eating everyone.

Once again, I snuck out of home, deciding that whatever was going to happen, I rather it did so far away from there so my mother and the others would at least be safe. I took out Archeops and once again told it to fly me over to Twist Mountain to hide in there, figuring we'll be safe from that monster finding us. I took the orb and began trying to break it with a stone, however as I did so, and I cannot figure out how, that monster suddenly found us, descending upon with an angry roar. I suppose me trying to harm its orb probably alerted it about our location or something.

Archeops went out to fight it, engaging in a battle I knew it couldn't win, and it probably did so too as its attacks didn't seem to have any effect. As my friend valiantly fought against that creature, I grabbed another stone from the ground and began smashing the orb, trying to break it as Archeops gained some time for me to do so. However, this only seemed to enrage the creature instead of weakening it, as it began shooting thunderbolts around everywhere like crazy. One of those electric attacks hit my poor Archeops and it shot down from the skies.

Just when all seemed lost, I managed to hit the orb again and caused a crack to form on its top, much to my relief as the monster let out what I thought at the time to be a cry of pain. This relief didn't last long though, as the creature soon recovered and shot a powerful blue flare in my direction, seemingly intending to end me before I could break its precious orb. I closed my eyes as the attack approached, expecting the flames to engulf me and for all to end right there, however at the last possible second, Archeops came in with a Head Smash that hit the orb and broke it in half, then shielded me from the attack with its own body.

I opened my eyes back as I heard the creature shriek and cry out in agony, then saw my Archeops lying in front of me with half its body burned and its wings completely charred, the broken orb next to its body. I realized my friend sacrificed itself in order to protect me, like my father had told it to, and began to cry as there was nothing I could do to save its life. The monster took off flying once again and I looked up to notice it flying in direction towards the Dragonspiral Tower. Wanting to avenge my dear Pokémon and finally put an end to this, I decided to once again follow its trail.

Upon arriving at the tower, I found the creature once again lying on the top floor. However, before finishing the work properly, I wanted to give it one last look at the monster who'd cost so many lives and was now at my mercy. I threw another rock, ready to completely shatter the orb once and for all, but my excess of confidence in my assured victory costed me greatly, as I paid no mind when throwing the rock and it missed. This gave the creature some time to recover and grabbed me with the intend to devour me. I thought I was done for once again, but at the last moment my Archeops, who was somehow still alive though barely, came flying with another Head Smash at the giant Pokémon, causing for it to let me go and tumble down the top of the tower alongside it.

I looked down and thanked Archeops for its sacrifice, then regained my composure and took a lead pipe that was lying amongst the rubble of the tower, which I used to smash that orb into pieces. I heard the monster roar from bellow the tower, followed by a large thud which I figured must've been the Pokémon hitting the ground. However, something unexpected happened next as a huge explosion occurred, which quickly expanded all over the Unova region.

Once again, I managed to save myself by ducking under the rubble and debris amongst me, but everyone else wasn't so lucky. After recovering, I found everything around me set on a blaze. Suddenly and much to my horror, the monster rose up from the flames, roaring in anger as its body began to shift in form and color, changing from white to black and vice versa repeatedly, until it split up into two new beings: one was a white dragon that resembled an angel, with blue eyes and a jet engine-like tail, the other was a red-eyed black dragon that looked more like a demon, with a round, conical-shaped and spiked tail that somewhat resembled an electricity generator.

I was terrified as not only that thing was still alive, now there were two of them! However, both dragons just flew up into the skies on different directions, leaving everything behind destroyed. What's more, everywhere I went was either like that or in ruins. The entire region had been devastated by that large explosion. Without Archeops to fly me by, I had to wander around for days, aiming to return home while I hoped that everything would be alright there. Sadly, I was wrong. My friends, my family, my mother, everyone had perished in the explosion.

I stand here today, the lone survivor of this massacre, the one who saved the Unova region by stopping the monster. The one and only hero, but at what cost? I lost everything on that day, all I knew and cared about was destroyed. This is my legacy to tell, my story, my legend.
