Ok sorry for not updating in forever. I forgot I was even writing this story till I checked my email and I had people asking me if was going to update soon. Once again super sorry.
"Is she going to wake up soon?" I hear someone say.
"I think her coming around. Bella honey can you hear me?" V said. I could feel her cold hand stoking my face.
"MMmhh yes I can hear you but I don't want to open my eyes." I said in whisper. I felt her shift me in her arm so I was sitting up on her lap.
"Why don't you want to open your eyes?" She asked. V started to rub small circle on my back.
"If I were to open my eyes then it mean it's real. All of it that Jake and his friends are…are...are wolfs." It was real all of the legends that Jake had told me back on the beach. The one about his people turning into wolfs and about vampires. What kind of world is these were magic is real.
"Well come on open them. I can hear Jake and the other two closes by." V was starting to get up and pulling up with her. I opened my eye and looked around. We were in open meadow one that I have never seen before. Even in the cold February weather it was beautiful place. The grass somehow was still green and some wild flower we trying their hardest to keep from withering. I looked the two other boys before I had called them men, but now knowing who they were I couldn't call them men not yet. Not for a few more years. They stood about 20 yard away from us. Out of the left I saw Sam walk towards us with other two not far behind. It looked like Paul and Jake had at least calm down. They stopped when they reached the other two. Sam was the first to speak.
"Bella" He addressed me then turn to V "Cold one" He addressed V. I could feel her tense up.
"It's Victoria." V said in a hard voice.
"Sorry Victoria. Am I correct in thinking that you are not a Cullen?" Sam asked. I could tell that he and V were walking on egg shells with each other. I look at Jake and I could tell he was trying hard to keep his mouth closed.
"Yes I am not a Cullen but a Bennet." V voice wasn't hard anymore but clam.
"I am also correct in think that you don't drink animal blood but that of human blood?" Sam asked. Looking straight into her eyes.
"I drink mostly human blood but I am trying to drink more animal blood." V answered.
" You see Sam what did I tell you that SHE IS NOTHING MORE THEN FITHLY BLOOD SUCKER AND THE FACT THAT YOU ARE EVEN TALKING TO HER IS A DISGRACE TO US WE SHOULD JUST RIP HER APART!" Jake yelled and was starting to shake again. V had me behind her back again and was crouching down look like she might strike at any moment.
"Jake stop we have to get the basic question out of the way." Sam said. "Know Bennet why don't we sit down and talk this out. And make some kind of treaty with us." He gestured to some old tree trunks at the end of the meadow. As we made are way to the trunk's I could help but wonder if this how the first treaty came to be. When we were all seated it was V who stared think this time.
"I am Victoria Ambrosine Amaryllis Bennet. I mean no harm to your tribe and the people of this area. My sole reason for being here is for Bella." She gave me a warm smile and reached over to hold my hand. I hear a growl that I was sure came from Jake.
"If you say that you mean no harm to the people of this area then why where two people killed not more than 10 miles north from here last night and other missing campers and hikers that's almost 12 people that have gone missing in two weeks? We found most of the bodies and they were drained of blood." Sam asked. His voice filled with anger.
"I went hunting in Ohio last night. My prey was two drug dealers and then a homeless man that was about to die from liver failure. "V answered like she letting someone know what food she had order at a nice restaurant. "The only time that I have preyed on any one in this area was yesterday afternoon when I was hunting some deer and two human happened to be hiking right by me. I lost control but the humans that I had accidently drained were about 25 miles to the east of where we are now." If it wasn't V that was kill people then what was? "I have only been in this area for two day. Before I came here I was in New York City."
"Then who was it Blood sucker? One your little leach friends?" Jake said throw his teeth.
"Jake can you cut it out please and listen to what V is saying?" I was starting to get pissed off at him. Others were behaving them self's why couldn't he at least try?
"Bella can't you see that she evil just like the other blood suckers that just left. How do you even know her? Why is she for you? Bella just get away from her if she threats you or Charlie we can get rid of her." Jake was pleading. His dark eyes were so sad that I almost went over to hug him. Jake was like my bother and best friend rolled into one. When Edward left Jake was the one who help piece me back together again. I knew that if left V side for just a second that somehow they would kill V no trues had been made yet.
"Well what I am going to tell you might upset some of you." I was trying so sounding like I addressing all and not just Jake. "About a year ago V was here with her old coven. The leader of that coven tried to kill me but V tried to stop him before she could the Cullen's got to him and kill him. Jake she not here to hurt me. So the reason V is here is because…because…um…well…she…um my mate." I said the last part so quick I didn't think that they heard me.
Everyone had a look of shock to them I am sure but I was looking a Jake face the most. Jake I could tell was not happy about hearing this I could see it in his eye and I saw him start to shake again but before he could become a wolf we all got distracted by laughter. It was Embry and Paul they were laughing so hard that Paul fell off his stump that he was sit on they both had were also crying.
"Paul! Embry! Stop that we are at meeting and why are you laugh so hard?" Sam said. He to look as lost as everyone else.
"OH I-I-it's beeeecause (laughter) Jake was going to a-a-a-ask Bella on a date!"Paul said. Even more laughter for the both of them.
"WHY IS THAT SO FUNNY!?" Jake yells at the both of them. Poor Jake was now shaking so hard I could tell he was about to lose it again.
"Well because lover boy your girlfriend here is a les-les-LESBAIN!" Embry laughed. With that Jared joined them in laughing. I saw Jake get up and wake over to Paul. Paul stood up try to stop laughing but failing. Jake then punched Paul in the jaw. I heard Paul's jaw snap. "OOOUUCH what the fuck man that hurt."
"Jake stop please hear what Victoria and I have to say." I just want all this drama out of my way. I knew that Jake like me more than a friend but I just hoped it was stupid crush that would go away with time. Jake said something under his breath that sound a lot like "I'm going to kill you Paul" Jake went back a sat down by Sam.
"Would everyone please clam down?" Sam said in booming voice. "Bella is right we need to hear them out. Bennet before we can work out so sort of treaty can you tell me that you are sure that you are Bella's mate and do you know the other cold one that has been kill the people in this area?"
"Yes she is my mate. It toke me a while to come around to her but I am hers and I would do anything and be anything for her. She is my other half. She makes me want to do good in this world. I love her in way that I never knew I could love someone. As for your other question I did smell another vampire in this area but with rain the scent is so faint that it almost gone. It just strong enough to know it is a vampire." She said with a frown. She didn't like not knowing thing. She reminded me of Alice a little just for a second.
"Alright then I think that we can make a treaty now that is if you except." Sam said. Victoria just nodded in agreement. "Jacob is you willing to have peace with this cold one? Not just for Bella also for the tribe and for your brothers? So we don't want to lose anyone of us in fight if it comes to that with the cold one?" Sam asked Jake. Why did Sam have to ask Jake for anything? Wasn't Sam the pack leader or something? Jake look to me and to the pack but it wasn't a pack it was like what Sam had said they were a family. I could see that how they teased Jake in brotherly way and how the respect Sam as an older brother.
"Alright I will give her the treaty and have peace on this land." Jake said. He looked like he had just given apart of himself away a part that he didn't take lightly. I had so many questions for him.
"Victoria Ambrosine Amaryllis Bennet will you stay off Quileute land? Will you not hunt on Quileute Land? Will you not bite a human that is under Quileute protection?" Jake asked. I was expending Sam to make the treaty. Jake's voice toke a deep tone and held an unwavering gaze into V eyes.
"I will." V answered looking in everyone eyes. Jake got up and walks to V and lead out his hand. Victoria stood up and took her hand in his.
"Peace." He said and shook her hand.
"Peace." V responded. They shook hand once more and then sat back down.
"Bennet I will go tells the Council what has taken place. Bye Bennet" Sam said and got up and walked away with the rest of the group following his lead all but Jake. For a while it was quite it seemed that no one wanted to be the first to speak.
"Jake I think we both need talk." I stood up and walked over to him. Jake just got up and turns his back to us.
"I need to go I have to be there when they tell the Council. I'll talk to you later. Bye Bella." He said and with one swift movement he turns in a wolf and ran away.
"JAKE! JAKE PLEASE COME BACK!" I yelled out but all I got was howl of pain echoing from the woods. I walk to V and she held me in her arms. "V he is my best friend and I don't want to lose him." I just felt so lost I already lost Alice my other best friend I didn't want to lose Jake to.
"He'll come back. He just needs some time to get his head on right you'll see just give him a couple of day. Come on we should get going your father will be home soon and I think it time he meet his new neighbor" She said and gave me kiss on the top of my head.
"Ok your right I hope. Come on you can help me make dinner." I smile at her as I claimed on her back. I didn't know where I and Jake stood, but at I was glad that there was treaty in place.
