"Liv."

It was a voice she hadn't heard in 5 years. She looked up and in her office doorway was none other than Elliot Stabler.

Her squad has been gone for about an hour. She sent them home after finally closing a month-long case. Paperwork can wait. She stayed behind waiting to be picked up to celebrate.

"Elliot." Her eyes roamed his entire body before landing on his face. He had a scar running from his right ear to his chin. The worry she always had came up but the fury she felt was more profound.

He smiled and stepped slightly into her office. "I was hoping we could talk." She rose from her desk and was across the room. Before she could stop herself she felt her arm raise and her hand snapped across his face.

"You son of bitch. You abandoned me after 12 years. After telling me you would never leave me. You watched your phone ring and ring and you probably sat there and watched it. I was always there for you. Picking up the slack so you can home to your family. Risking my life to save your marriage and that's how you repay me. Fuck you. I hate you. I went through hell these past five years and you have the audacity to just show up here asking if we can talk. No. We can't. You lost that chance the moment you walked away. so just go home, Elliot. Go home to your perfect family." They stood in her office feet apart staring.

Before he could speak a voice interrupted their moment. "Hey, baby. Ready to go?" Both eyes snapped towards the doorway. "Elliot Stabler."

"Ed Tucker."

"Is everything okay here?" Elliot watched as Ed crossed the room and kissed her. "Do I need to get rid of him?" She shook her head and turned to grab her purse.

"No. I'm ready to go." She grabbed his hand and made her toward the door. Stopping just before she exited she turned to look at her long lost partner. "I never want to see you again."

He watched as they walked away but stood back in her office to calm himself. Using the method his therapist taught him, he quickly calmed himself and made his way out.

Walking to the car he sat down and looked over at the driver seat. With the tears pooling in both their eyes, he shook his head and she squeezed his hand before pulling off.
