It had now been another day, and now Jasmine, and Mindy were with Emily kissing her in her room.
"I owe you both so much." she admitted.
"We're glad our work to help ya won ya that match." Jasmine grinned to her.
Emily smiled hearing that before suddenly frowning.
"Something you want to tell us girl?" Mindy asked her.
"Is it just me, or was Chazz being kind of cold to me today?" she asked them.
"What so you mean?" Jasmine asked confused.
"He was glaring at me all day." Emily admitted.
"You want us to go beat him up for ya?" Jasmine offered cracking her knuckles.
"No, don't do that." Emily mentioned before hugging her.
Jasmine smiled hugging her before asking, "Okay, we why not we ask Miss Fontaine?"
"Ok." Emily nodded. "That makes sense."
The three gets up walking together finding said woman who was looking through papers before noticing them, "Good afternoon girls. What can I do for you today?"
"Do you know if something's bothering Chazz, he's been glaring at me ever since my duel with Bakura." Emily admitted.
"Well you know how Obelisks are..." Fonda sighed at this rubbing her head, "They act like that to anyone not an Obelisk, and for your case it's probably cause of your hesitance."
"I guess, but he was acting like I insulted him during the duel." Emily admitted.
"Well... I think it might be cause you used effect damage on Bakura." Fonda suggested.
"Are you kidding?" Jasmine questioned.
"Burn is a perfectly valid way to win." Mindy agreed.
"Well lots of duels the Obelisk get in uses final battle attacks. Using burn damage against him like that, might've been an insult to what they view is dueling." Fonda explained.
"Oh." Emily frowned hearing that before looking down.
"Don't let that bother you. What they think is nothing for you to concern yourself with." Fonda assured with a smile.
She nodded. "Thanks."
They moved to walk out but Fonda called, "Oh girls?"
"Yes?" they asked turning back to her.
"Mind if I talk to you without Emily listening?" Fonda asked.
Emily blinked hearing that before nodding as she walked out of the office.
"Alright girls, I had been noticing you two being rather close with each other, and her." Fonda started with them.
"Oh, well yeah." Mindy nodded.
"Well I had looked into her history to see what happened, and turns out things are much worst then it. She was nearly killed in the past." Fonda admitted to them.
Jasmine frowned. "Yeah, we know."
Fonda blinked hearing that.
"She told us about... what happened." Mindy explained.
"Oh." Fonda said hearing that nodding, "Well, after talking this with her parents they said that the card responsible was launched in space by Jaden. He then had his memories altered not long after."
"Emily told us that part too, do you know what the card was?" Jasmine asked.
"A Level 10 Fiend monster named Yubel." Fonda identified the mystery card, "It was given to Jaden by his dad as his favorite card but whenever he uses it, it results in his opponents being hospitalized."
"Yubel..." Mindy repeated. "Well, it's gone so Emily won't have to worry about that anymore."
"I'm a Nurse, or Doctor in Training so I'll say as doctor's orders, be there for her cause how she will recover from her PTSD is people like you two." Fonda told them.
They nodded at that.
"And her girlfriend if she gets one." Mindy mentioned.
"Does that mean you two aren't?" Fonda asked confused since knowing Emily's a lesbian she probably found someone by now which was her assumption based on how close the girls in front of her are.
"We're a couple, and helping her out a bit." Jasmine mentioned. "But, Emily told us she likes younger girls than us."
Fonda blinked hearing that before she nodded, "Well alright, none of my business. Okay, you two can go now."
They nodded leaving the office at that. They find Emily waiting.
"What did she want to tell you?" she asked them.
"She tried to tell us about Yubel." Mindy answered at that.
Emily froze and started shaking badly at that. Jasmine hugged her at that before she said, "She told us to help your PTSD we should stay with you."
"Thank you." Emily choked out weakly.
Meanwhile...
Several of the students were playing a baseball game and Jaden was about to bat.
"Jay! Keep your eye on the ball!" Syrus called to him.
"That could be tough! After all, the balls gonna be over the raptors! He'll score, then he'll score, and then I'll score!" Jaden grinned holding the bat, "We'll have a six run lead!"
"Wait!"
They looked seeing Bastion running in explaining, "Sorry. I was deep into some attack point quantum mechanics, and lost track of time."
"Can you throw?" one of them asked.
"Sure."
"Well we need a new arm. Pitcher change! Get in here!"
With that both Bastion, and Ra's pitcher changed places as Jaden grinned pointing the bat at Bastion, "This is no written exam Bastion! I hope you know what your doing!"
"Trust me I've done all the calculations. Now get ready for some heat Jaden." Bastion grinned getting ready, "This one's coming in red hot."
"Give me your best shot Bastion, I'm knocking it clean out of the park." Jaden grinned back getting ready himself.
Bastion at that threw the ball three times which all missed as Jaden yelled, "Nuts!"
Soon after they played a few more as Jaden was the fast pitcher as he manged to pitch a Yellow out as the Empire called, "Ball, take your base!"
"Time!" Syrus called as he went over to Jaden, "Jaden what's going on? You got two outs, and walked the last three batters."
Jaden chuckled, "Pretty slick huh? How else would I get a chance to pitch Bastion?"
"Wait, you did this just to pitch to Bastion? What if we lose Jay?" Syrus asked him.
"Don't worry, I'm not doing this to win, I just want to settle the score." Jaden assured with a grin.
"You hear that Bastion!? Your going down!"
"Down the base pass perhaps, now then give me your best Jaden! I don't want to hear any excuses. After I wallop it right out of the ball park." Bastion grinned as he took his place putting his cap on, "That is if you manage to get baseball over the plate of course."
"Game on!" Jaden grinned.
"Game over soon!" Bastion grinned.
Jaden then threw the ball declaring, "Now here's some fight for ya!"
While that was happening Dr. Crowler was walking down a path from the court seething, "Ooooh! The Paradox Brothers couldn't beat Jaden, Chazz couldn't beat Jaden, and Bakura couldn't get rid of Emily! I need to find someone who can beat-GAH!"
He didn't noticed the ball was hit hard by Bastion, and the force was enough to get him to fly to the equipment burying him.
"Oh man, are you ok Dr. Crowler?" Jaden asked running to the equipment.
To their horror, and shock what emerged was an enraged Dr. Crowler who has the ball in his left eye, "YOU! Well of course, who else can cause intense pain!?"
"Now that's keeping your eye on the ball." Syrus remarked in shock.
Bastion ran over crying, "It was my fault! I was the one who hit the ball!"
Dr. Crowler looked over widening his eye, "Bastion? Of course here I was struggling to find a new accomplice, and here it smacks me right at the face. Well the eye actually but that's really beside the point."
"Are you ok?" Jaden asked him.
Dr. Crowler then snapped at Jaden, "Alright you two caused enough trouble now shoo, shoo, shoo!"
Syrus, and Jaden quickly made themselves scarce. Dr. Crowler then grinned turning to Bastion, "Never mind those two. Slifer Slackers. It's time you started consorting with someone with those more of your class don't you think? It's time you started consorting... With me."
Meanwhile...
It was a class period with Emily, Jasmine, and Mindy together talking before Emily feels something, and turns seeing Chazz glaring at her again heading to his seat. She frowned at that.
"What do you think you're doing here?" asked a male voice.
The girls looked over but Chazz ignored it sitting down grumbling to himself looking over his Deck ordering to some Obelisks, "Hey fetch me an ice tea!"
"Get it yourself." one of the Obelisk's told him.
Surprised that happened Chazz turned to the Obelisks looking threatening. "Huh? What was that?"
With that the Obelisks started to talk to themselves, "Doesn't he know?"
"Guess not."
"What are you talking about?" Alexis asked since she was sitting next to Mindy.
One Obelisk approached Chazz asking, "Chazz, where do you think your sitting?"
"My seat." Chazz answered with a 'that's obvious' tone.
"Sorry but that's not your seat anymore. Now move!" the Obelisk demanded.
Chazz growled angered before pointing out, "What are you talking about? Of course this is my seat, it said so right here-" He looked over to confirm only to find something else, "HUH!?"
His eyes widen in horror as the girls see that Chazz's name on his desk was replaced while the Obelisk smirked to him pointing out, "Sorry Chazz but you were moved way over there." He pointed to where the Ra Yellows, and Slifer Reds are. Where of course, it is insulting, and disgraceful to Obelisk.
"Hey Gregory what's going on?" Mindy asked the Obelisk.
Gregory turned to her asking, "Oh you ladies haven't heard?"
"He's being demoted." Gregory answered.
Stunned, and horrified from what he just heard Chazz argued, "Demoted!? No, this is all wrong!" He pointed to the lower Dorms yelling, "I don't belong there with those losers!"
Hearing the door they looked seeing Dr. Crowler spotting a black eye walking in to start class with a folder in hand concerning today's subject. Not bothering to ask him about the eye, Chazz told him, "Dr. Crowler! Tell everyone this is a mistake! Tell them, I belong up here!"
Rather then doing what he requested, Dr. Crowler did the opposite calmly, "But you don't, and haven't ever since you lost that one duel to who was it now? Ah yes, I remember Jaden Yuki." That was when he shouted at the top of his lungs, "A SLIFER!" He then informed Chazz, "Which is why tomorrow you will duel Bastion Misawa, and if you lose to him as well you both will switch dorms!"
"You mean, I become a Ra Yellow!?" was the question of the stunned Obelisk's who's possibly whole future in Duel Academy might be at stake cause of this.
"Yes very good only if you duel as well as you listen." Dr. Crowler said sarcastically while clapping since he has no respect to anyone not a Obelisk. That's how racist he really is since he views Obelisk Blue as the most superior after all, and has no qualms slapping anyone not a Obelisk with unfair punishments. There are exceptions which is why his talk earlier with Bastion, and as what was said Chazz's future as a Obelisk is now being threatened.
Speaking of the Obelisks all but the girls started laughing at Chazz from the teacher's words which caused him to shake in anger before he screamed running out from being embarrassed like that yelling, "Dammit, dammit, DAMMIT!"
"Dr. Crowler, that doesn't seem fair." Emily frowned.
"Life isn't always fair little Emily. You can't expect things to go your way." Dr. Crowler told her simply, "If it was my decision you be with your Slifer Slacker of a brother but since Obelisk is the only dorm open for female students, you find yourself lucky being among elites despite not being one."
That made the Obelisks laugh again at what he just said about insulting Emily's skill like that. Emily just frowned but sat down not arguing anymore.
"What an ass..." Jasmine shook in anger saying that quietly to not get in trouble with the Obelisk loving doctor from him insulting Emily like that.
Later after class...
"Don't listen to what Crowler says okay?" Mindy asked Emily as they exit the room, "He's probably just jealous your a good Duelist but his Obelisks aren't that strong."
"Maybe." Emily nodded before frowning. "I still feel bad for Chazz."
"Oh don't worry about him, the little twerp had it coming for how he came off." Jasmine assured, "Maybe being around some lesser ranks will make his attitude change."
Emily nodded at that before blushing slightly. "Do you guys want to relax in the hot spring later?"
"I'm down for that." Mindy smiled hearing that.
"Me too." Jasmine smiled too before asking Alexis, "Hey Lex you like to join us?"
"Not this time, you three have fun." Alexis answered.
They nodded walking out through the end of the day. Passing through the Ra Yellow Dorms they heard some laughing inside. Curious they looked inside to see what was going on. They see furniture, and stuff outside the hall before the door opened showing Jaden, Syrus, and Bastion laughing together each covered in white paint.
"What happened in here?" Mindy asked them.
They looked before Jaden laughed rubbing his head, "Well Bastion asked us to repaint his room, and I guess we gotten too much fun in painting."
"That reminds me of when we were kids." Emily laughed at that.
"I assume there's a reason for all this laughing." Makoto said walking out of a room next door, "So when I said no, you asked them, and things got carried away Bastion?"
"Something like that."
Makoto shrugged at that, "Ah well, whatever happens." He shook his head before saying, "Well now it's about time for dinner so, I suggest you three get washed up. You'll be having some of Ra's fine cuisine today since you assisted a fellow Ra Yellow here with a task like this." Turning to the four girls he offered, "You three want some too?"
"Thanks for the offer, but we're good." Mindy mentioned.
"She's right, see you guys later." Jasmine agreed before the three girls walked off.
They arrived back at the Girl's Dorm together. A burning question had been on Mindy's mind since she, and Jasmine talked with Miss Fontaine but not sure how to ask Emily.
"Mindy?" Jasmine asked noticing her expression. "What's wrong?"
"It's something, I been thinking since we talked with Miss Fontaine." Mindy admitted.
"Do you want to talk about it girlfriend?" Jasmine asked kissing Mindy gently.
"Well it's about us, and our relationship with Emily." Mindy admitted to her.
Jasmine nodded listening to her.
"I mean, I love our time with each other but... What Miss Fontaine said really have me thinking... aren't we her girlfriends?" Mindy asked her before explaining, "We stick close with Emily, and when she found our we're lesbians she quickly warmed up with us. Then we have some time with ourselves to show our love for each other. I know she's only interested in younger girls, but it has me thinking... aren't we passed the 'best friend' line, and are her 'girlfriends'?"
"I... hadn't thought about that." Jasmine admitted.
"Should we ask her?" Mindy asked Jasmine.
"Yeah, I think we should." she nodded.
After arriving at the Hot Springs they ready before Jasmine asked Emily, "Hey girlfriend?"
She looked over and smiled. "Yeah?"
"Mindy has asked me something that we had been thinking." Jasmine admitted to her, "When we talked with Miss Fontaine earlier."
"Oh... what is it?" Emily asked curiously. "Is everything ok?"
"Well... are we really still your best friends?" Mindy asked her.
"Well..." Jasmine at that explained what she, and Mindy we're talking about if what they been doing means they are passed that line.
Emily blinked hearing that before blushing. "Oh... well, I mean you two have each other. I don't want to get in between you and maybe I'll find someone one day."
"We don't care." they replied.
Hearing that Emily gasped before looking down with slight tears. "I thought... I would have to leave the island because of this."
"Emily..." they walked hugging her before Jasmine asked, "Emily be honest with us..."
"Do you want us..." Mindy trailed off.
They finished, "To be your girlfriends?"
Emily shuddered before gently shaking her head. "I... no, I don't."
"Are you sure?" Mindy asked her.
Emily nodded. "I'm sure, I like spending time with you two... in more ways than one, but I don't want you to be my girlfriends."
She hugged them back after saying that. They hugged her back before Jasmine said, "Well Ems... are you ready for this?"
She smiled before nodding. "Yeah, I am."
They all entered the hot springs together to relax.
The next day...
Knock Knock Knock.
A knocking wake up Emily who's in her room. Stirring slightly she walked to the door and opened it. It was Alexis, and Zane.
"Bastion has a duel with Chazz... And Chazz thrown his Deck to the ocean." Alexis answered soundly angry. Why wouldn't she? "That's why we're all heading over to clear this out."
"He did what?" Emily asked in disbelief before grabbing her glasses. "I'm going with you."
Them with Jasmine, and Mindy all headed to the arena where they overheard.
"...Chazz is your test opponent? Then he must've been the one who tossed your cards Bastion!" what sounds like Jaden's voice.
"Pardon?" was the surprised voice of Dr. Crowler.
"I don't know what he's talking about Dr. Crowler." Chazz's own voice broke in, "I didn't do a thing."
"I saw you by the lake Chazz." Alexis told him. "You were throwing away cards."
They all looked over seeing them which Chazz only scowled to Emily before saying, "Who's to say I wasn't throwing away my own cards? I guess Bastion, and I have similar Decks that's all."
"Regardless of who's cards you threw away we have business to attend to Chazz." Bastion pointed out.
"How do you attend to duel without a Deck?" Chazz smirked to him.
"Simple. A Duelist always knows when to have a second deck. You all saw my Formulas... For these!" Bastion declared as he pulls back his Blazer revealing six Deck Boxes on a vest, "And each one of them is as powerful as the next!"
"Six decks?" Emily asked in shock.
"Talk about being prepared." Alexis agreed.
"Well alright you got your six Decks!" Chazz yelled frustrated his plan to sabotage Bastion didn't work but decides not tom worry showing his Deck, "All I need is one to put you in your place!"
"We shall see." Bastion smirked as he grabbed a Deck, "Even since your against my Water Deck!"
As Bastion and Chazz got ready the others moved to watch the duel from the stands.

"It's because of the way Chthonian Alliance works." Alexis explained. "It increases the equipped monster's attack points by 800 for every copy of that same monster on the field. With two Chthonian Soldiers destroyed the third loses 1600 attack points."

"That way I can summon INFERNAL INCINERATOR!" Chazz smirked laughing wickedly as what emerged from the flames behind Chazz was a giant bug like armadillo with a upper human body where the head should be.

The flames were blocked as Bastion explained, "While you attack I can put an end to the battle phase! And with that your attack is like it didn't happen!"
"That was way too close." Syrus sighed in relief.
"So what? 1 turn that what it'll take to finish you." Chazz smirked.

"There won't be a next turn." Bastion said confidently drawing, "I activate the Spell Card, Bonding - H2O!"

"Huh?" Chazz looks confused seeing the card.
"You know what two Hydrogens plus 1 Oxygen equals? It equals water!" Baston called as the three combined, "And this water is known as Water Dragon!"
At that what took place was a serpent monster made out of water roaring with horns.

"You might have less monsters in play, but my Infernal Incinerator is still more than powerful enough to wipe out that dragon of yours." Chazz smirked.

"Better check again, because I've already done all the math!" Bastion declared.
"All the math?" Emily asked confused
"Yes, I have this all planned from the start." Bastion said before Water Dragon summoned a tsunami that engulfed Infernal Incinerator causing it to roar in pain.
Infernal Incinerator: (ATK: 3000 - 3000 = 0)
Chazz cried out seeing that.
"What just happened?" Emily asked in shock.
"That's Water Dragon's special ability. When he's out on the field the attack points of all Fire Attribute, and Pyro-Type monsters automatically become zero." Bastion answered.
"Then, Bastion wins and he'll get promoted." Syrus realized.
"Water Dragon attack! Tidal Surge!" Bastion called as Water Dragon fired a stream of Water destroying Infernal Incinerator easily.

Chazz: 0000
Hand: 0
Field: Nothing
Bastion wins!
"A well played duel Chazz but not enough." Bastion told him.
Chazz glared, "Pure luck! You drew a lucky card, and stumbled into the wind!"
Bastion said, "Perhaps but luck favors the prepared, and I was prepared to beat you with a half dozen cards as well. Sorry you would've lost the duel one way or another. But deny it all you want. Just like you deny throwing my deck into the ocean."
"Yeah prove it." Chazz dared.
"Well if you insist. Here. A card I fished out." Bastion said pulling out his wet Vorse Raider that has a scientific formula on it, "With a formula I wrote on it. I suppose you could've written it, but the math would probably have been wrong, and it's not."
"So he did throw Bastion's cards into the ocean." Emily frowned hearing that.
"Chazz, you lied, you stole, you cheated, and you lost." Bastion said to them, "You deserved to be demoted."
Chazz looked down defeated, "This can't be..."
"Agreed, congratulations Bastion you are now officially an Obelisk Blue." Dr. Crowler said calmly.
"No. I must decline that invitation." Bastion told him.
"What, but why?" Dr. Crowler asked in shock.
"When I first arrive here at the Academy I decided that I would only enter Obelisk Blue when I became the number 1 student in the freshman class." Bastion answered turning to Jaden, and Emily, "Jaden, Emily, out of all the new freshman I think those students are you two.
"Huh, no you're wrong it's just Jaden." Emily admitted.
"It's you too. Hesitance aside, you defeated the number 1 student on campus even if he did went easy." Bastion pointed out.
"He does got a point Natasha." Jaden said with a small tease on her middle name.
Emily pouted at that before sighing as she nodded. "Well, thanks for saying that."
"Well one day, I will challenge you both. I am busy preparing a Deck suited against you two." Bastion said to them.
"One at a time Bastion." Jaden mentioned before grinning. "I'm looking forward to it already."
They looked at each other ready.
