"Have you found any sign of your sister," the one-eyed wolf asked the two younger wolves as they set down their kills in front of him.

"Not much, Scared One," a male with black fur said as he licked blood from his lips, "We scouted her den as well as the others but the scents are old. A week old at most"

His siblings settled down and began to eat, sharing their kill with the Scared One and elder she-wolf.

The she-wolf gave a soft whine, "My poor pup."

"Mother I'm sure she and the pup are well," one of her pups tried to encourage her mother as the dark male offered her a chunk of meat. She took the meat with a soft whine. The pack did their best to stay positive as they ate their meal till Fox came to them.

"Elder one's," Fox called out as he ran to them, "I have news of my mate and pup!"

"How and where," the greying female asked.

"They are safe and well," Fox explained, "In a cottage just past the tree lines, at the first hill top. A kind man helped them escape from hunters. He and his daughter have welcomed them into their home as their own even."

"Wonderful," the Scared One nodded with a sigh of relief. The others tails began to wag at the news.

"And there is more good news," Fox smiled as he told the pack of the plan they had made earlier.

"See I was right," the younger white female cheered as she licked her mother's cheek.

"And with another pup too," her mate, the dark wolf, commented.

"When shall we meet them," Scared One asked.

"Tonight," Fox answered, "The moon will be full and the sky's clear. I will lead them here to you."

The pack gave excited howls, till their parents quieted them, "Settle pups. You'll wake the newborns."

The pack calmed more, though their tails wagged faster.

"Now we must prepare for their arrival," Mother Wolf said as she cleaned blood from her older pups faces.

As night drew closer the two families prepared to meet. The wolves made sure their territory was secure along their borders. Meanwhile back at the cottage Louata bounced excitedly as Maurice clipped her fur pelt around her shoulders.

"Louata, hold still," he chuckled at her.

"I can't," Louata giggled, "I'm too excited."

Luna chuckled at her daughter as she helped Belle tie her boots. Though she was a bit calmer than Louata, she hadn't stopped smiling since the end of their picnic.

" There you go," Luna smiled at Belle as she helped her stand up before putting on her own pelt. Now ready to leave Maurice got a lantern as Luna held Louata's and Belle's hands they set out to the pack's territory.
Fox and the younger male waited for them just behind the tree line. Belle and Louata rushed to meet them, hugging them both.

"Hello little ones," the older male pup greeted the two girls, kissing both their cheeks.

"Hello brother," Luna greeted them, "Fox."

Fox gave a nod in return.

"Sister, we were so happy to hear of your safety and new pups," he then looked to Maurice, "Thank you sir for keeping them safe and aiding them."

Maurice gave a nod back, "You're welcome. I'm just happy I could help them."

Luna's brother nodded back as his tail happily wagged, "Come our pack it excited to meet you both."

He led them to the packs main den hidden under a cluster of tree roots. The Sacred One stood at the entrance of the den as they approached.

"Welcome back, my pup," he greeted Luna and then Maurice, "And to your pups as well. Forgive me for not greeting you in your form, sir. Unlike my children and mate, it's a little harder for this scared pelt."

"No worries, Monsieur Wolf," Maurice replies, "It's a honor to meet you."

"As is for us to the one who saved my youngest and her pup," he nodded back, "Fox has told us of your plans. We'll discuss more of them inside."

The Scared One led them into the den. Inside was spacious enough for Maurice to stand at his full height after a slight slouch going through the small entrance tunnel.

In the main room of the den was a small fire place that oddly had no smoke coming from the flames. At the center of the room was a table made from a smoothed round stone table that was set with plates of roasted meat and vegetables. Three woman with wolf pelt capes stood beside the table. One was older than the other two.

"Sisters, mother," Luna smiled rushing to them, wrapping them in a hug.

"Oh sister I'm glade you are well," one of them smiled as she hugged Luna, "As well as your pups."

The older woman with greying hair separated for them and went over to Maurice, greeting him with a smile, "Welcome to our home, monsieur. We are happy to welcome you into our pack. And thank you for keeping our young members safe and well. I am Mother here."

Maurice smiled back to her, "I am happy I could, Mother. I have grown close to both as have my daughter, Belle."

Belle gave a small curtsy to the elder woman. She kneeled to greet her, "Hello my pup. It is pleasure to meet you. You may call me Grandmother."

"Yes, grandmother," Belle smiled back to her.

"These are my siblings," Luna introduced Louata and Belle to them, "My older sisters, Snowflake, and Pebble."

Scared One, the male and Fox entered the den changing to their human forms. Though Scared needed aid from his son.

"This is my mate, Charcoal," Snowflake introduced them to the male with the black pelt. Belle and Louata smiled to him.

"Come let us eat," Pebble said gesturing to the food, "And you can tell us everything that happened."

The family sat down and began to eat as the went over Fox's plan.
