Those short days went by fast. Peter was on the team for that Friday game. Uncle Ben was proud of his nephew for doing something new. Even Aunt May, giving him both their support when dropping off at practice before the big game. Even Nova challenges him at home, when they are alone.

"Peter, stop doing that," she groaned as he leaped over head to make an automatic shot.

"Doing what?" he cheekily smiled as he went to receive the ball.

"You know what," she placed her hands on her hips, "You are using your spider powers!

"And you're not?" he raised a brow at her.

"At least I'm holding myself back, unlike you," she pointed, "You're drawing too much attention to yourself."

Peter rolled his eyes, "You are overreacting, relax."

"I'm not! I'm just concerned and so is MJ and Harry," she said, for she was being honest.

Peter scuffed and tossed the ball back to her, "I am going inside," he announced before doing so.

Nova stood to the side and watched him go, becoming more concerned for her cousin.

Soon enough, the game arrived and everyone in the school was excited to see the new player in action. Kong made sure of it, for he was bragging about Peter's performance at practice, that everyone one HAD to see themselves. The only one who was not excited was Nova. She did not know why, but she had a bad feeling that something was bound to happen.

As the whole Parker family arrives, they all meet up to Marry Jane at the benches along with someone else, Norman Osborn.

Nova felt dread the moment their eyes met.

"Hello Parkers," he casually greeted them.

"Good evening, Norman," Ben smiled with unawareness of Nova's shock and distinct from the man before them, "It's been a while since we came face to face."

Norman chuckled, "Yes, I supposed. I was busy with work and finally was able to be off to watch my son's game," he said as his eyes shifted to Nova, who squirmed where she stood. "Why don't you all take a seat next to me," he patted the empty spot beside him, "What about you, Nova? We can cheer Harry and Peter together," he gave a sickening smile.

Before Nova could speak, Ben excitedly said, "That's a great idea!"

Even May agreed as they sat near Mary Jane on the opposite side.

Nova did not oppose, for she could think of an excuse. Reluctantly, she sat beside him.

Soon enough, the game started and Peter was taking all the glory as Nova expected. Making the team have a head start at the beginning.

Everyone was cheering loudly and so focused on the game.

"So, I see you have not told them your guys' little secret," Norman whispered to Nova, that almost made her jump out of her skin.

She turned her head to him, without saying a word.

"Do not worry," he assured her, "I would not pull that stunt on you again. Besides, your cousin gave me enough information I need." He glanced back to Peter, who made another shoot into the basket with ease, having the home team win the game.

Nova was taken aback on what Norman ment, but could not find the words to speak up.

Soon enough, Norman was back to be a supporting father, as if the conversation between them never happened.
