Tales of the Multiverse Bit 47

It's the Heart Foundation versus the Alone! And despite it's massive size and Marigold's inexperience in fighting, they managed to destroy it with all of their might. They then confronted Karasu afterwards.

Sometimes... I ask myself, Marcus "The Kane" McGee, why life is a bitch?

Not only that I find out that I had three girls as roommates with the two of them which I swear stares at me in my sleep, I got dragged into another trouble without warning! Earlier, I was just having a talk with my fellow leader, Darren Cross, the handsome fucker of the new-formed team - the Cross Guards, after parting ways with him, I stumbled upon a stray portal that took me out to who knows where!

By the way, a stray portal are strange phenomenons that tears through the fabric of space and time, often appearing out of nowhere like an RKO, dragging it's unwitting victims to another place or world... which ever you prefer. So, if you see a stray portal, which is pink by the way, stay far away from it.

Or else, you'll end up just like this douchebag narrating this story.

Now this brings me to my current situation, after getting dragged by a stray portal, I landed somewhere which I presume to be a large coastline. The area is pretty beautiful, the water is clear and there are a lot of neatly-placed boulders all over the place.

Fortunately, I had my portal device in pocket, so I can go back to Neo-City right this instant but as I look around... fuck it! I'm taking a look around this place, it's not everyday that you get to visit a world you had no idea off.

Fuck! I sound like a travel-obsessed archaeologist.

As I walk around a beautiful forest, I was singing at the same time, "~Baby! Baby! Baby! Oh~" I sang. Yeah, I know my singing voice is horrible but pardon me for having the urge to sing a Justin Beiber song, which by the way, I'm not fan of.

Apparently, my singing caught the attention of an individual.

"Hey you! Stop right there!" a voice called out, halting my tracks and my horrible singing, I turned around and saw a girl running across a platform above me before jumping and then landing down on the ground.

The first girl has a long, dark brown hair, gold eyes, and fair skin. She wears a jumper-like outfit composed of dark brown leather, a red hoody, red stockings, and white thigh-high boots embellished with gold linings and symbols. Her accessories include a leather belt with two small bags attached, gloves, and gold-framed goggles. Her most distinguishing feature is the headband with the large red bow that rests on her head, resembling the shape of bunny ears. This is Amber.

Knights of Favonius Outrider

Amber

For clarification, I don't know these girl. I may be narrating these chapter but in-universe wise, I don't know her. If your confused by these, then that's not my problem.

Amber then approaches me, "May the Anemo God protect you, stranger." she said, "I am Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius." she introduced herself with a gallant pose. Woah... what an introduction! "You don't like a citizen of Mondstadt." she pointed out. Obviously! I wear a t-shirt with a Flash symbol! "Explain yourself!" she demanded.

I stare at her rather dumbly, "Eh... what should I say at times like this?" I muttered in reply. I'm serious, I have no idea what to say in this situation.

I guess I look suspicious to her, aside from wearing an attire completely out of place in what seems like a fantasy setting but what's so suspicious with a guy like me, oh wait... I had dead fish eyes... figures, "Eh... just some random traveling stranger." I replied with a flat tone, "And despite my looks, I'm not here for trouble." I added, I'm here to sight-see before get back home.

Amber crosses her arms, "That's what all the troublemakers says." she pointed out.

I rubbed the back of my head, "You do have a point." I admitted because it is something I would say whenever I want to prank someone, "But seriously... I'm not here to do anything rather than just walking around before I get back home." I explained while jabbing a thumb behind.

"So... to sum it up, you're a traveler, right?" Amber concluded.

"A travel-obsessed enthusiast to be exact." I corrected. Might as well exaggerate my lies since there's no guarantee that I'll be back in this place.

"A travel-obsessed enthusiast?" Amber questioned in confusion.

"To make it easier for you understand, sweetheart, I'm the type of person to travel around and love to check on different places, forbidden and otherwise." I explained. For some reason, I had fun lying to this nimrod, she's pretty gullible.

"I see..." Amber muttered, "... are you heading towards Mondstadt?" she questioned, "I can escort you there." she offered.

I shook my head, "Thank but no thanks." I replied, "I was heading towards a different direction when you approached me." I explained. As much as I like to linger around, I can't stay this out any longer or else, everyone back home will get worried.

"Oh! I see." Amber replied.

"Welp! I better get going! There are places out there for me to explore!" I declared before walking off, "See ya around, Miss Outrider." I said my farewell.

Unbeknownst to my knowledge, Amber watches me go with a suspicious look.

Later that day, I found myself standing in a large grassy fields with scorched marks and claws marks all over the place, I bet a dragon made a presence here some time ago.

"I better get outta here before I get myself involve with something I'll regret for the rest of my life." I muttered in dread but before I could make a make a move, I heard explosions coming from the distance, I look at the source of the explosion with squinted eyes and saw two persons running across the fields... and one of them looks oddly familiar.

Upon closer look, I realized that the familiar person is none other than the Summoner.

I grinned madly, "Would you look at that! The girl I kissed is here." I exclaimed in glee. Seriously, I kissed this girl and let me tell you one thing, her lips were sooooo soft.

The Summoner then spotted me, "Ah! Marcus the Kane!" she hissed with a tint of blush on her face.

The person running alongside the Summoner turns to me, "You know him?" she questioned.

"Yes... he's... an enemy of mine..." Summoner replied with hesitation.

"You hesitated." the person pointed out .

"Shut up, Insekta!" the Summoner demanded.

I marches towards her and her friend, "Hey there sweetheart! Been a while!" I greeted with a cheeky grin. If you're wondering, yeah, I'm teasing her.

"Shut up!" the Summoner demanded, "And don't talk to me like we're close!" she added, "I still haven't forgotten all of the times that you and your pesky ragtag of misfits foiled my plans!" she declared, "And that time that you... that you..." she tried to say but found herself unable to say it.

But I knew well what she meant, "The time that kissed you." I reminded with a smirk.

"K-Kiss!?" Insekta gasped in surprise.

The Summoner's face had completely gone red, "That's right! Because of that kiss, I couldn't concentrate on work!" she exclaimed, "I couldn't get rid of that horrid act you did from my mind!" she shouted in annoyance.

"Eh... come on!" I beckoned, "The kiss wasn't that bad!" I said, "Admit it, you enjoy it?" I egged with a grin. You know I did~.

The Summoner gritted her teeth before shyly looking away, "Ngh... I... I did enjoyed it... a bit..." she admitted with a blush.

Did I hear that right? Then it's my turn to blush, who knew the Summoner can be this cute, I quickly looked away while placing a hand on my face, "S... sorry..." I apologized. For some reason, I'm beginning to regret teasing this girl, she's so pure despite wearing that dark-colored attire.

"What are you embarrassed about!?" the Summoner squawked.

I quickly shook my head, "By the way, what the hell are you guys running from?" I questioned. Better change the subject before things gets even more awkward.

The Summoner pointed a finger to our left, "Those things!" she answered.

I turned around and saw a number creatures making their way towards our direction. The creatures... from what I can tell looks something a kid would draw on the sidewalks with the chalk outline and all, "Huh? Those things are weird." I muttered, "Why are those things after you?" I questioned. I gotta feeling that there's some sort of ulterior motive for this.

The Summoner shook her head, "I don't know." she replied, "Those things suddenly appeared out of nowhere and just attacked me & Insekta." she explained, "We tried to escape them by going to another world but they managed to follow us here." she added, "I don't know what's going on but from the looks of it, whoever created these creatures wants me gone." she theorized.

I then stepped forward, "Well, I for one, don't like that." I declared. Seriously, I really don't. "You may created those headaches we call the Emotionless but there's no denying that those things are awesome." I admitted, "The reason I want to help you in your current situation is because I wanna see what type of Emotionless you're gonna do next." I claimed with a grin.

The Summoner huffed, "I will never asked for your help!" she defied, "But... even though we're enemies, you appreciated my creations better than my ungrateful allies... so, thank you." she said in gratitude before looking away with a tint of red in her cheeks.

I could only smirk in response, "No prob!" he reassured before pulling out my baseball bat underneath my sleeves, "Okay... time to show these freaks what I can do." I declared with a grin.

And like a character from a Dynasty Warriors game, I began to swing my weapon around rather wildly, hitting and killing every enemies on my path. I then fueled my baseball bat with my Gift, coating it with red, orange and yellow glow before swinging it towards a group of creatures, hitting them and then creating a big explosion, destroying the creatures on the process.

I took notice a few creatures running towards, so I coated my baseball bat once more with Gift before smashing the ground hard which then created an explosive chain reactions, blasting every creatures off the ground. I then once again coated my baseball bat once more with Gift before spinning around like a tornado, hitting and blasting every creatures on the way.

I then put away my baseball bat before smashing a fist on my palm, "Time to get in close and personal!" I declared with a grin.

I then ignited both of my fists and legs with green, orange and yellow light of energy, overloading it on the process before charging forward, "Gasoline... BLASTO!" I roared before punching one creature, blasting it to pieces, "Gasoline... KICKU!" I roared once more before hitting another creature with a blazing kick, getting the same result as the others.

As this is going on, the Summoner and her friend, Insekta watches me in sheer amazement. And yes, I'm not making that up.

"Amazing." Insekta muttered, "No wonder he is treated as a major treat by the higher-ups." she commented.

The Summoner let's out a small smile, "I told you so." she replied.

After an hour of fighting, I managed to defeat every creatures that were after the Summoner and her friend, and my God it's so tiring! Maybe taking a number of these creatures alone isn't much of a good idea and I think it's much more better slaughtering these things with friends involve.

Then the Summoner and Insekta approaches me, "Wow... you literally obliterated every one of those creatures." the former commented, "Viciously while at it." she added, "Are you sure you're not a Dark Force-material?" she questioned with a grin.

I shook my head, "Not in a million years." I replied. And after taking a few deep breathes, I turn to them, "So... with those things gone what are you gonna do now?" I asked.

The Summoner smirked, "What else? We're heading back to our base operation and after seeing those creatures, I decided to cook up more Emotionless that are going to be way more challenging than the ones you fought before." she declared.

I smirked in response, "Seems nice." I commented, "I'll look forward for that!" I admitted, "Guess we're enemies once more the next time we meet." I pointed out.

"You we're always a thorn in my plans." the Summoner hissed before smiling, "But where's the fun without you guys around." she admitted before walking off, "Let's go, Insekta." she beckoned, "See you around, Gasoline boy!" she said.

Insekta then turns to me, "It was a pleasure meeting you." she said before following the Summoner.

"Likewise!" I replied before witnessing the two entering a red-colored portal which vanished afterwards, I then took a deep breath, "Okay! I guess it's time for me to head back home, everybody must be worried sick about me." I said before opening a portal, "I had fun! Haha! But I'm not doing this again ever, EVER! Going solo is not my style!" I declared before entering the portal which quickly vanished.

Not long after Marcus left, we see Amber and another girl arriving in the scene.

The girl has a tall, athletic build and fair skin. She has short gold-blonde hair tied back into a ponytail with grey-blue eyes. She wears a white, blue, black, and red strapless shirt with gold symbol and linings along with a long blue tailcoat attached to it, a pair of separate white sleeves, a short blue and gold cloak with a light blue inner lining attached to a white separate collar with black linings, a white tights embroidered with gold diamond-dot pattern, and pair of white high-heeled knee-high boots with gold patterns and black heels. She also wears a pair of blue gauntlets. She wields a silver and blue sword with a gold grip in the shape of a spread bird wing, set with a sky-blue gem. This is Jean Gunnhildr.

The two girls were greeted by the sight of the destruction left from Marcus' battle against the unknown creatures.

"Here! This is where the loud explosions come from!" Amber pointed out.

"What happened here?" Jean questioned in shock, "What caused such destruction in this area?" she added.

"From the looks of it... a battle must have occurred here not long ago." Amber deducted before crossing her arms, "Hmm... that guy went on this path, so there's a possibility that he has something to do with this." she muttered while referring to the blue-haired mongrel she met earlier.

"What's wrong, Amber?" Jean asked.

Amber turns to her, "I think I may have an idea who caused this." she replied, "But this just speculations and I hope no proof to confirm it." she admitted.

"I'll listen to it anyway." Jean replied, "So... who do you believe was responsible for this?" she beckoned.

Amber nodded, "A guy I came across earlier." she answered, "He claims to be an travel-obsessed enthusiast but I believe that he is more than that." she claimed.
