Tales of the Multiverse Bit 220
"Ah! New Home Sweet Home!"
After a grueling 147 hours of house hunting, Darius Greg, Gino Samuels, Kennedy "Kenny" MacIntosh and Ruderford "Rudy" Tucker stood in front of a single floored rectangular shaped-building with a red roof, yellow coated walls, blue windows and a brown door. It is surrounded by a spacious front lawn with a grey-colored path towards the door and brown fences.

Days had past in the Babuyan Islands and the members of The Hunting Team are temporarily residing in the mansion owned by Matthew De Orochi's deceased master.
Both Aria "Arinah" Sakurada and Malvina Rasputin already fulfilled their roles as relatives of Matthew's master really well, and the girls had already met the townspeople and with Malvina's experience as a noble and Arinah's political knowledge, they vowed to help the townspeople retain the islands that they all rightfully own and the townspeople were thrilled, earning the girls their respect.
But not everyone were thrilled by their presence.
The owner of the factory was not happy of their arrival and is now thinking of a way to get rid of the girls and finally claim the islands for himself.
It was a fine day in the islands, we then head towards the mansion and outside, we see Eustace Bagge watering some plants when some kids are seen running in the garden and as the kids got close to the old man, Eustace suddenly turns around towards them while wearing his large scary mask.
"OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!" Eustace shouted.
"AAAAAAHHHH!" the kids screamed in horror, one of them even peed in their pants, before scampering away from him, "MOOOOOMMY!" one of them cried out.
Eustace then took off his mask, "Yehehehehe.'' he let's out a satisfied laughter when Shizune Takatsuki and Cal the Exceed approaches him from behind with the former whacking the back of his head with a rolling pin, "Ow!" he yelped in pain before turning to the duo while rubbing the back of his head, "What did I do?" he asked in confusion while Shizune and Cal looks at him in disapprovingly.
Inside the mansion, we head towards the living room where they held an open casket funeral for Matthew's master and the aforementioned Guardian is seen staring at a figure peacefully resting in the funerary box.
The figure is an old man with a tall stature, he had a average build and a pale complexion, and he had a silver-colored combed back hair. He wears a black business jacket over a white-collared shirt with a red necktie, black slacks and black leather shoes. This is Efren Luis Purgatorio III.

Hector Vanguard Jr. then walked towards Matthew, "Hey, you okay?'' the green-clad lad asked in concern.
"Master was..." Matthew trailed, "... the kindest person that the townspeople and I had ever met." he shared, "Always standing up for the right thing, always there to help someone, he cares for us more than himself." he furthered, "And now he is gone." he uttered out loud, "And it was a really big blow for all us." he admitted while wiping a few tears from his eyes, "But we all know that he wants us to move on and to keep on fighting." he beckoned, "And for the person, who wish nothing but the happiness of everyone, we will do everything to make his wish come true.'' he declared.
Hector didn't make any response yet he fully understood everything that Matthew said, so pats gently him on the shoulder before leaving him alone.
Bzzzttt...
Later that night, which happens to be the last night of the master's funeral, we see the members of The Hunting Team(minus Eustace whom is nowhere to be seen) gathered around the living room while watching over the casket.
Arinah and Malvina alongside Alla Yuliya sat asleep on a green couch while Serra Deville and Lunette Yaeger are sleeping soundly on two separate bean bags. Shizune and Cal are sleeping on a single green chair while Bud Bison, Lavi Bookman, Tsunayoshi Sawada and Yasutora "Chad" Sado slept on the floor.
Hector and Luna Loud sat on a long bamboo bed.
"Hey, Luna..." Hector called out with his eyes slowly getting heavy, "Can you..." he trailed, "Can you do all nighter?'' he asked.
"Uh-huh...'' Luna mumbled in response with her eyes closed and a hand under her chin, "I can..." she trailed, "Hoooo-huuum..." she yawned loudly, "... stay up all night.'' she claimed
"Good." Hector acknowledged, "Because with everyone else conked out...'' he pointed out, "... we need to stay awake to watch over the casket.'' he beckoned.
"All right...'' Luna uttered in response.
Despite that though, a few minutes later, the two fell asleep when suddenly, Efren's eyes shot wide open which revealed his brown orbs, he then sat up and snaps his head towards Hector and Luna's direction.
Efren then got up from the casket before walking eerily towards Hector and Luna, and then sitting between them.
At the same time, a drunk Eustace made his presence in the room, "Ugh..." he groaned out loud, "That was a nice stupid booze..." he commented before looking around and saw the casket, "Ah..." he uttered out loud, "Here's a bed...'' he pointed out before lying down on the casket, "Stupid bed..." he insulted, "Smells like the dead...'' he grumbled before sleeping.
Luna is then jolted awake when she felt something cold, she opens her eyes and turns to her right to see Efren sitting next to her. Luna's eyes widen in fear and shock, she tries to scream but can't even let out even one sound, she then stood up and ran behind a chair.
Then Efren leans his head towards Hector's right shoulder which woke him up but kept his eyes closed, the Green Lantern then grabs the master's hand while thinking its Luna's hand, they then both stood up in sync, "Room." the hero beckoned before walking forward alongside Efren.
Hector then felt something odd, the hand was cold and he realized that Luna is not this cold, he slowly opens his eyes to see the master standing beside him.
Hector stares at the master with a relaxed smile and after a few seconds...
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
... he let's out a terrified scream.
And with that, everyone found themselves waking up while Hector ran towards Luna behind the chair.
Meanwhile, everyone got up and unknowingly gathered around the master, "And pray tell do you had to scream so loudly?'' Malvina demanded in annoyance.
"That! That! That! That!" Hector and Luna mouthed loudly behind the chair while pointing fingers at the master.
"What are you guys talking about?" Shizune asked in confusion.
Arinah then turns to the master, "Do you have any idea what's going on with those two?'' she inquired.
Efren shrugged his shoulders in response, "I don't know...'' he replied.
Arinah and everyone then realized something odd while staring at the master
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
Everyone began to scream in fear and panic while the master fell down on the floor... dead.
And after a few more minutes of screaming, Hector spoke up, "Guys!" he called out, "Stop, stop, stop!" he beckoned which effectively stopped everyone, "As much as I love to know what's going on, we need to get the master back on the casket.'' he ordered, "Come and help me." he pleaded and was about to pick up the master.
"Are you serious?" Lavi questioned in disbelief, "I'm not touching a corpse!?" he exclaimed in disgust.
"Don't be such a babies and help me!" Hector pressured.
Chad and Tsunayoshi then proceeds to help Hector in picking up the master from the floor before placing him back on the casket but then they realized one thing, they placed the master on top of a sleeping Eustace.
"What the?!" Serra squawked in shock, "What is he doing in there?'' she asked in confusion.
"Stupid bed..." Eustace grumbled in his sleep, "It really smells like the dead..." he commented.
Luna facepalmed in response, "Look at this, moron." she grumbled in disbelief.
Tsunayoshi and Chad then picks up the master while Hector pushes Eustace off the casket before the two placed the master back down.
Hector then let's out a sigh, "What a night." he muttered.
Bzzzttt...
The next day, after the master's funeral where everyone paid their respects has concluded, it was once again late at night.
In the living room somewhere in the mansion, we see everyone having a conversation.
"So, any news about the owner of the factory?'' Luna asked.
Arinah shook her head, "None as of yet." she replied, "It seems that Frederick Sullivan is keeping himself silent during all of this but the townspeople feels like he's planning something big.'' she stated, "And to be honest, I was thinking the same thing." she admitted.
"Whatever he is planning, he better not try and hurt the townspeople or else, he'll suffer my wrath." Lunette exclaimed.
"I here ya.'' Lavi replied in agreement.
Suddenly, the entire lights of the mansion went out, much to everyone's surprise.
"Woah!" Shizune gasped, "A black out?'' she assumed.
Alla stood up and looks out at the window, "Not exactly." she replied, "There are lights in town which means only this mansion lost it's electricity.'' she shared.
"Maybe the breaker tripped." Lavi assumed before getting up, "I'll go check it out and fix it.'' he volunteered.
Tsunayoshi stood up as well, "I'll help." he offered.
Shizune then looks out at the window and saw something that made her eyes wide and her skin crawl in fear, "G-G-G-G-G-G..." she stuttered in fear which everyone took notice of.
"Hey, Shizune, what's wrong?" Cal asked in concern.
Everyone then looks outside and their eyes widen in fear, a woman in white is seen floating outside, moving from left to right while glaring at them with her bloodshot eyes.
"AAAAAAAAAHHH!"
Everyone let's out a terrified scream before running out of the living room, everyone kept on running through the halls before stopping in the middle.
"What the hell was that?" Lunette demanded, "What the HELL was that?" she repeated in panic.
"I don't know!" Hector replied, "You're asking the wrong person here!" he pointed out.
"Y-Y-You g-guys t-think t-t-this place is haunted?'' Shizune asked in fear.
"After the events from last night, I don't doubt it." Serra replied.
Luna then looks up at Efren's portrait when it suddenly winks at her which completely freaks her out, "AAAKK!" the rockstar yelped in response.
"What's wrong?'' Malvina asked in concern.
"T-That p-p-p-portrait!" Luna shouted with a finger pointed at the portrait, "I-I-It just wink at me!" she exclaimed in panic.
"Wink?" Arinah repeated.
"Yeah!" Luna confirmed, "Like this!" she beckoned while imitating a wink.
Hector raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure?'' he asked before looking up just in time for the portrait to stuck out a tongue which he and everyone saw, Hector then stuck his tongue out while completely freaked out.
"AAAAAAHHHHH!"
Everyone let's out another terrified scream before breaking into another run and at the same time, they found themselves getting separated from each other.
Hector made a run through the halls alone before running towards a door and when he opens it, he was greeted by a scary old woman letting out a terrifying shriek, "YAAAAAAHHHHH!", he let's out a terrified scream before shutting the door tight and then jumping through the window and landing on a nearby bush.
Meanwhile, Malvina, Alla and Arinah ran through another hallway when they come across a man hung-up by a noose, the man looks at them with wide bloodshot eyes, "Heeeellpp..." it moaned.
"KYAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" the three girls let's out a terrified scream before breaking into another run.
Meanwhile in another room, the door burst opened as Tsunayoshi, Lavi, Chad, Bud, Shizune and Cal came running inside before hiding inside a closet. They stayed in there in silence for a few minutes until an 8.8 m snake was dropped onto their shoulders, "AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" they let out a terrified scream before bursting out the closet and then running out of the room with Lavi throwing the snake on the bed before following everyone.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, we see Luna, Lunette and Serra cautiously tiptoeing their way in the room when they come across Eustace whom's face is illuminated with orange light.
Luna stares at Eustace for minute before looking at her companions, "KYAAAAAAAHHHH!" the three let's out a terrified scream before running out of the kitchen, leaving Eustace with a look of disbelief.
"Why the hell those stupid girls getting scared of me?'' Eustace questioned in disbelief before looking at the readers, "I'm cute, right?'' he asked with a smile.
The night of terror continues on with a lot of screaming and running but surprisingly none of the team members left the mansion.
Bzzztt...
The next day somewhere in the island, we head towards the factory and inside an office, we see a group of people gathered around while a figure angrily berates them.
The figure is a middle-aged man with a tall stature, he had an average build and fair complexion, he had a messy blonde hair and facial hair, he had dark-colored eyes and wears round tinted glasses. He wears a black pinstripe business jacket over a white turtleneck shirt, black pinstripe pants and brown leather shoes. This is Frederick Sullivan.

"You imbeciles!" Frederick insulted, "How come?!" he squawked, "How come you didn't get to scare those pesky-meddling brats out of the mansion?!" he demanded towards several people wearing scary costumes.
"Sorry sir..." one of them apologized, "... but they're a lot tougher than we thought despite being scared shitless." he reasoned.
Frederick groaned in response, "Dammit!" he cursed out loud, "Looks like we'll be settling things with plan B." he considered, "Get everyone ready!" he beckoned, "We are going to KILL each and EVERY people in this island." he declared to which his minions nodded in agreement.
Unbeknownst to them, a snake is seen watching them from a tree outside.
Meanwhile, back in the mansion, we see the members of The Hunting Team alongside Hector gathered around in the living room with tired looks on their faces.
"That was one horrible night...'' Luna muttered.
"Tell me about it." Arinah replied in agreement.
"If we weren't in a very important mission, I would have left this place long time ago." Hector admitted.
Matthew then entered the living room, "Good day everyone.'' he greeted.
"Good day my ass." Lavi grumbled in response, "After what we experienced from the past two nights, I can't barely say anything positive.'' he stated in annoyance.
"I see." Matthew acknowledged, "Anyway..." he trailed, "... I'm here to tell you all that what you've experienced last night was nothing but a fake.'' he revealed much, to everyone's shock.
"What?!" Cal squawked.
"What do you mean by that?" Tsunayoshi asked.
"The ghosts you saw last night, those are just people in costumes, they were hired by Frederick to scare you guys in order to get you all out of here.'' Matthew explained.
Arinah gritted her teeth, "Why that no-good degenerate!" she exclaimed.
"I'm sooooo kicking his butt!" Serra yelled while bashing her fists together.
"Also..." Matthew trailed, "... I've discovered another plan of them and it's not good." he shared, "They are planning to kill everyone in this island.'' he revealed, much to everyone's horror.
"What?!" Shizune gasped.
"Now that's just going too far!" Alla exclaimed in disgust.
"They are going to commence their plans tonight." Matthew shared, "We must prevent that from happening at all cost.'' he beckoned.
Arinah then turns to Luna, "Luna, what's our move?'' the princess inquired.
Luna nodded in response, "Well, I say we pay the factory a visit!" she beckoned, "And since were facing humans...'' she trailed while clenching her fists, "...I say we let our fist...'' she furthered while bringing out a 2x4, "... and melee weapons do the talking!" she declared with a grin.
"YEAH!" everyone shouted in agreement.
