Hanni

It was strangely dark in the hangar. "Aw man. Everyone must be asleep." Kelsia walked over to a couple crates and sat on one of them. "Well, I can't sleep. So, what do you want—"

"Hey! Let me out!"

We froze. I looked at Kelsia and she looked at me. "What—"

"I'm under here! Let me out!"

Kelsia jumped off the crate and opened it, letting the lid clatter loudly to the floor. "Well, if no one was awake before they sure are now." I said, glaring at her. She rolled her eyes.

"Jeez, you guys are loud."

A little girl—she couldn't be older than 5 or 6—stood up in the crate and looked around. "Oooh. Where are we?" Kelsia frowned. "You…don't know where you are?" "Nope." She said and reached for my sister. "Get me out. Please."

"What's your name?" She asked, once on her feet. "Kelsia, this is Hanni." She said, gesturing toward me. The girl nodded, curls bobbing with the movement. "I'm A'kari." Kelsia smiled and got down to A'kari's level. "Well, A'kari. What are you doing here?"

She kicked at the ground. "My homeworld was attacked. Mommy put me in this crate and told me not to come out no matter what I heard." She looked up at me, green eyes wide. "I think mommy's dead."

Kelsia snorted and A'kari frowned. "Kelsia!" I snapped. "Now's not the time for your dark humor." "I'm sorry!" I gestured towardA'kari. "She's five!" The girl gasped. "I'm not five! I'm five and a half."

(A/N: Get it right, Hanni. ?)

"What is going on here?"

"Great. You woke everyone." I gaped at her. "Me?! You were the one who dropped that lid!" "I didn't mean to!"

"Padawans!"

A'kari giggled, catching Master Kenobi's attention. "And who might you be, little one?" She blushed and hid behind Kelsia's leg. Now she's shy. "A'kari." She muttered. "What's she doing here?" Master Skywalker asked.

I shrugged. "Her mom put her in that crate and told her not to come out when her homeworld was attacked." "That couldn't have been comfortable." Kelsia muttered. "It wasn't." A'kari confirmed.

"Okay," Ahsoka said, grabbing the child's hand. "I'll take her to the bridge and contact the Council to see what they think we should do." Everyone left with Ahsoka, leaving Kelsia and I alone.

"Oh. We're alone." I frowned. "Yeah? So?" "It'd be so easy to kill you." "Mmm. I'd like to see you try." "So, I have permission to kill you?" "I mean, you can try." "Do or do not, there is no try." "Shut up, you ain't Master Yoda." "But my impression was good." "I mean, yeah. It was okay."

A—somewhat awkward—silence fell upon us.

Kelsia's head snapped up and she looked into a dark corner of the hanger. "You felt it too?" I asked. "Should we go see what it is?" I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, let's be dumbasses and go see what it is like they do in the movies." Kelsia stared at me for a second, then shrugged and hopped off her crate and began walking over to the corner.

I sighed. "Great, now I have to make sure this idiot doesn't get herself killed." "I heard that!" "Good!"

I stopped a few feet behind Kelsia and peeked over her shoulder. "See." She said, turning around with a grin. "There's nothing—"

Suddenly, Kelsia and I were flung clear across the hanger. We hit the floor with a loud bang. I quickly scrambled to my feet and ignited my lightsaber, looking around. "You stupid, dumbass." I muttered. Kelsia groaned and stumbled to her feet.

"I didn't see or sense anyone." "Well, I didn't either." I muttered, looking around. "I say we should just go." "What if it follows us?" "...so what?" I sighed. "It could hurt someone." "I don't give a damn, I'm tired."

I rolled my eyes. "Well, you weren't tired when—" "Look out!"

Kelsia pushed me behind her, causing me to lose my balance and fall. By the time I'd regained my bearings she was nowhere in sight. And I couldn't sense her either. "Kelsia!"

"This isn't fucking funny! Where are you!?"

I sighed and slid my hand down my face. "Shit." I muttered. I picked up my lightsaber and left the hanger. Mica would know what to do. She always did.
