UPDATE : OOPS MY BAD FOR RELEASING AT AS BOLD LOL
Special Chapter 7 : THE SHADOWS (3/3)
She was furious, outright murderous and livid even.
Lelaine and Nicholas were injured, half dead, likely to die within the next few hours if they didn't get any help.
She looked to her daughter, her blood boiling angrily.
She could sense it, she could feel it, she could see everything that her daughter had to go through while she was crying herself out. Her daughter was bloodied, she had injuries everywhere… Then there's that bloodstain covering her hands and dress.
It wasn't hers, she could tell.
The smell of the blood was mixed, likely of different people.
Elizabeth gripped her scythe with intense hatred and intensity, her eyes were cold and furious. Belmo was a dead man, she was going to RIP HIM APART.
Belmo seemed to feel what she was going to do to him soon and shook, he steeled himself and screamed. "SIOPILOS!"
His voice rang through the entire room, Elizabeth could sense some dumbass trying to move around the Mansion roof, did he seriously think they could ambush her? Her, the strongest vampire who has tracking capabilities on par with The Trial of the Goddess Shrine's detection?
"Hilarious." She scoffed, she'll deal with him later, but first.
She disappeared in a red blur followed by mist. Belmo's eyes widened, barely able to follow her movements.
Lelaine and Nicholas suddenly found themselves outside the Mansion, placed in a clearing where most of the nobles were patching themselves, all were bloody and injured. They couldn't leave the area right off because every single staff member in the gigantic mansion was a part of Belmo's forces.
They were briefly covered in a red mist that flew back to the mansion.
A split second later, Remilya also found herself on the clearing. She looked around, seeing the people she saved. She slumped in relief, happy that she at least saved a bunch of people.
Suddenly, soft, warm and delicate arms wrapped itself around her, she instantly melted in them. She already knew who it was hugging her, so she immediately hugged back as well.
She felt a few droplets falling to her hair, and a soft sobbing from her mother.
"Remilya.. I'm so sorry… I'm sorry I took so long to get here.. Your mama is such a bad girl." Elizabeth didn't waste any time apologizing to her daughter who had to go through so much. "I'm sorry that you had to go through all of these.. If I could have gotten sooner.."
Remilya tightened her hug on her mama as she herself started crying, happy that she's finally safe.
"I'm sorry for lying to you and keeping you away from your father–"
"-I forgive you." Remilya said without hesitation, she had already planned on forgiving her mama when she saw him, she wanted to at least talk it out with her, but due to adrenaline and all the exhaustion she felt really tired. She simply said the only thing the came to her mind right now.
Elizabeth stuttered at the last second, what did her daughter say..?
"W-What?"
"I forgive you.. I… I'm sure you had your reasons mama… I'm sorry for running off."
Elizabeth's heart clenched, warming up and filled with joy. "T-Thank you.." she sobbed lightly, hugging her daughter tighter. Lelaine smiled warmly from the side, leaning exhaustedly to her husband, both were now relaxing seeing that the Blood Queen herself, someone they managed to become friends with had arrived to their rescue.
"But.. Let me meet him please?"
"Sure.. I already planned on doing that after this." Elizabeth smiled, before her tone became hard and cold. "But first, someone has to pay first. For making you go through all of this."
She stood up, staring back to the mansion where Belmo is currently plotting his schemes.
"I'm going to," She closed her eyes and paused. "Show him what it means to hurt Elizabeth Vlodquinn's and Shadow's daughter."
Shadow…? Remilya pondered, was that the name of her father..?
Because if it was, it sounded so damn cool.
Elizabeth disappeared with a burst of speed, disappearing way faster than Remilya could follow, with Belmo she could barely see him moving, he might have been holding back… But she could feel that her mama was way faster.
"Commence Phase two, Siopilos. Don't disappoint me." Belmo ordered the finest of his First Children, Siopilos was above Silent wind, he had been the one to sneak up on the Blood Queen and give him the information he now possessed. He trusted this soldier of his to do his job properly, there were Athoryvos and Andreikelo who were Siopilos' partners, their jobs were just as important as well.
The First Child disappeared in a flash, moving away from his position, two other figures in the shadow moved along as well. Belmo breathed slowly, calming his nerves and preparing himself for the hardest fight of his life.
Hearing the sounds of marching, he heard his forces — Consisting of Second and First Childrens, the majority being dummies. A.k.a First Children and recruits. — marching towards his location.
One of the parts of his phase two consisted of splitting his forces into two, all of the second and first children will be fighting alongside him against the Blood Queen, while the dummies will be going for the Dhampir and the nobles outside.
It's all a part of his plan.
He unsheathed his silver sword, the sword strangely gleaming silver once more. He dug into his coat and pulled out his personal firearm. The Thompson Contender, a modern state of the art hand-cannon capable of holding various types of bullets, inside the cartridge was the `Sleeping Queen` waiting to be fired.
All of his men finally finished marching and scattered everywhere, all of them wielding bear-rifles holding the prototypes of the Sleeping Queen. Oh how he remembered how much money and time he spent to set all of this up, all the preparations and hardworking he'd done.
He ran a Sleeping Queen bullet around his fingers, the bullet being black instead of yellow, the color of it changed because of their attempts on masking its scent.
A terrible failure really, it didn't completely mask the scent. The Sleepful God wine was a strange drink all in all.
And It was finally going to be put to use, all of his preparation.
Now if only the edge of that crimson scythe would stop in its tracks–
—Electricity exploded as he dodged backwards, seeing his life flash before him for a brief moment.
Belmo felt his bones scream in agony after leaning back so fast, his eyes wide as it had ever been.
He ducked down so fast he went flying, rolling to the ground and hitting a few of his men. He didn't waste any time recovering and glancing where he had previously been. His already wide eyes couldn't believe it, half of his men.
Blood splattered everywhere, the First and Second Children that had been behind him were all cleaved in half, their tops seemingly blown away.
"FIRE! FIRE AT HER!" He screamed in with a shaking voice, all of his men snapped out of their stupor and had only realized that their target had already arrived. They all aimed at the Blood Queen wielding a strangely shaped crimson scythe, without pause they all fired.
Elizabeth disappeared before the bullets could reach her, the cloudy yellow mist spreading everywhere. Belmo ate a small pill that acted as an anti-agent to the failed prototypes given to him by his subordinates, since the prototype only induced intoxication it wasn't too hard to make an anti-agent that prevented it.
The soldiers he had in the upper floor were all suddenly blown to smithereens by red lights that had rained upon them. The very same thing that had nearly killed him earlier.
"Blood Magic—!"
"-Correct." A voice came from behind him, perhaps it was because of luck or some kind of bullshit on his end, but he was able to poorly parry a scythe that would have beheaded him. Silver steel met with solid-enhanced blood, sparks flew everywhere as Belmo used his speed to escape, when he gained a considerable distance away from her, he was taken off-guard when she suddenly went inside his personal space, ready to cleave him in half with that scythe of hers.
He frantically blocked it again with his sword, his hand nearly losing its grip on the sword. The force behind her attacks were unbelievably heavy, it's as if a whole mountain was being used as a blunt weapon against him.
He disappeared again with a trail of lightning static, the Blood Queen following after him as a red blur. Multiple sparks of metal sparked within the mansion as Belmo poorly blocked everything Elizabeth was throwing at him, for some reason she wasn't using ranged attacks like she had been reported to be, instead of a close-quarter combatant.
A red mist and yellow lightning became a blur as the interior of the mansion became their battlefield, the yellow clouds of mist created by the failed Sleeping Queen prototypes being cleared as they zoomed everywhere followed by the sounds of metal hitting something unbelievably solid and sparks flying everywhere.
At one point Belmo almost became a smear on the floor as the Blood Queen slammed the end of her scythe at the spot where he used to be, you'd think that swinging such a large weapon would at least slow her down, unfortunately that wasn't the case, she was swinging the goddamned farming implement like a whip, turning herself into a death-zone of red arcs.
Not only that..
'She's like a fucking blender, turning my men into paste!'
A hand suddenly clasped around face, it gripped with an iron-grip and slammed him into the ground.
"Apologize for hurting my daughter!" Elizabeth howled, picking him up again and slamming him into the wall. Belmo groaned painfully as he was suddenly being face-dragged into the wall. "Apologize!"
Before Elizabeth could continue her sudden execution on him, she was suddenly electrified by an intense amount of volts, prompting her to let go of the man. Taking advantage of the momentary shock, Belmo took out a syringe from his coat and immediately slammed it into Elizabeth's thigh despite the pain he was in.
He pressed it in, making sure to inject her as much content as he could in this short window of opportunity.
Unfortunately for him, it wasn't that long as Elizabeth punched him in the diaphragm, breaking the wall behind him and launching him away, Belmo crashed into a wall after a few seconds, leaving him bloodied and gasping for breath.
This was insane, the Blood Queen's power was too immense it's making him rethink his plans. If this continued on he wouldn't even be able to follow up on later phases of his plans. An important detail to his plan was to last long enough, he thought that with his speed he would be able to hold out and stall, that didn't seem to be the damn case right now.
That meant he needed to increase his strength temporarily, so he took out a tiny jar containing his own set of Diablos' tears. Making a quick mental calculation and consideration, his limit was five Diablos' tears before he became unstable and started dehumanizing like that fool of a newbie years ago, Zenon Griffey or that fraud of a man, Mordred, ninth seat of the knights.
Although, even if he did dehumanize, he would turn back in a few minutes as the Tear's powers were not permanent and merely temporary, but the whole point was that the form he might take could decrease his main selling point. Speed.
For now, he'll eat two and use that time to buy himself time. He unhooked the small cap and ate two before hiding the jar again.
His magic exploded, his mana being increased by fourfold, he could even feel his speed being multiplied as well. Addictive as the feeling was, he hated how temporary it was, the power up might have felt satisfying. But he wasn't a fool enough to think that it would be enough, Mordred consumed a part of the fourth ruler and yet he still died, the Queen was likely still leagues above him, but at least the power up would provide him a better chance of stalling.
"UUUUOOHH!" He growled excitedly at the power though, the feeling of suddenly getting stronger was too exhilarating to ignore. He slowly regained his control over his magic moments before the Blood Queen nonchalantly arrived, completely unconcerned of what he'd just injected on her.
"The scent within these yellow clouds is unnatural and your strange syringe's contents, I'll only tell you this now, it's futile to try and poison me." The Blood Queen said, recreating her scythe once more, unfazed by his increase in magic.
Good, she thinks we're trying to poison her. He had no doubt that she would have easily identified the smell of alcohol if they didn't mask its scent with another heavy and dangerous poison's scent.
"That may be so," He replied. "But that won't stop me from trying."
He pulled out the Thompson Contender — He had to holster it back in his coat's traps when he ate the Tears — and fired it at the Blood Queen; he expected the vampire to take it, thinking it wouldn't be a threat to her. Unfortunately she merely obliterated the bullet by sending a barrage of arrows made out of blood.
Making use of his increased speed, he sped away and outran the arrows, yellow lightning crackled wherever he went. He zoomed around the entire mansion, ducking from an arrow and entering a room before bursting drop kicking the walls to enter another room, he was constantly dodging and swerving around the brutal methods of the Blood Queen, he started loading another Sleeping Queen bullet into his Thompson contender as he dodged.
Bursting from the door and running through the hallways, Belmo saw a small glint of light flashing from afar, light being refracted from the glass..? Hmph, just what he was waiting for. It seems that Siopilos had managed to do his part of the plan, he can now finally go to Phase 2's main part.
Lure the Blood Queen into his prepared territory.
Belmo hurriedly pushed himself out of the window and falling, he landed perfectly on his feet and sped off towards the sea, he looked at the still bright and hot sunlight of the afternoon, he would give it sixty minutes before evening dropped.
It didn't really matter how hot or bright the sunlight was, as long as it shone on a vampire, they'll be affected by its effects.
Now, if he could just get to where he should be then he'll be fine—
"Running now? Sorry, but with you knowing of Remilya. I won't be letting you get out of here alive, it's simply too dangerous to let someone like you go and give you a chance to do this again." Elizabeth snarled calmly from beside him, another whistling sound of air being cut went into Belmo's ears. He immediately scurried off and ducked from it, swiftly this time, compared to his initial state without the Tear's effects.
However Elizabeth saw this coming and grabbed him by the back of his shirt with her free hand, slamming him to the ground and kicking him back towards the direction of the Mansion, no doubt trying to keep the fight to a shaded place.
Belmo almost immediately lost his consciousness from her blows, willing himself to keep going he performed some acrobatic moves mid-air and landed back on the ground, pouring all of his magic into his legs and feet he bounced off the ground and dashed forward the sea once more.
Despite his maximum speed being used, Elizabeth caught up to him, her eyebrows furrowed and annoyed. She was taken off-guard by his full speed and had to use half of her own to actually follow him, quite impressive but nothing compared to Shadow's speed.
Belmo ran forward without stopping, forcing his legs to go even faster while Elizabeth flew, slowly catching up to him. They became a blur once more and moved across the landscape, Belmo eventually saw the sea and felt relief.
Only for his relief to be taken away by the Blood Queen reappearing in front of him and grasping his neck, because of the velocity he was going Belmo nearly choke, his neck violently slamming into her open palm. It was merely because of his durability that his neck didn't snap from the force, however that seemed to be the last of his worries as Elizabeth started tightening her grip on him.
Slowly choking the life out of him, he tried to use the same trick he used on her by shocking her. But in spite of that, she already predicted that shocking her was his main method of getting away, she used her own magic and overwhelmed Belmo's own, perfectly nullifying his attempts at electrocuting her.
As strong as she was, she wasn't a fan of being electrocuted because it was a pain in the ass to deal with, having every single one of your nerves be tickled and fried at the same time slightly bypassed her ability to numb pain.
"GUAAAHH—" Belmo screamed desperately, slamming his silver sword into her point-black. But because of the concentration of magic around Elizabeth, the sword broke upon contact with her skin, though annoyingly nicking a good bit of her flesh.
Wounds caused by silver took a long damn time to regenerate, it was annoying.
Belmo helplessly kicked around, he took out his Thompson Contender and fired it at her point-blank.
Again, it failed. Elizabeth caught the bullet with her teeth, spitting it away and falling into the ground motionless.
What did it take for this woman to just get the hint and BE SHOT!?
His vision blurred as he lost oxygen, his life slowly escaping from him with each second Elizabeth tightened her grip on him, his entire word was blackening.
T-This is bad, he was starting to lose consciousness.
His life flashed again, his mind going through his very own library of memories to find a way out of this situation. You see, when a person experiences what is called a `Near-death Experience`, their memories will flash before them, that's a defensive function by the brain where the person will access their memory, whether it be forgotten or barely recalled they will be able to remember it just to survive.
At this moment, Belmo remembered he had another trump card up in his sleeves, an artifact he never really had a place for his plans other than to be a meatshield and stall the Blood Queen, now was the time.
Since his hands were free, he grasped at the trinket necklace he was wearing desperately and ripped it free from his neck. Elizabeth narrowed her eyes in confusion, seeing the small necklace that had a small figure of Oshiana's Water Spirit.
With the last of his breath, he screamed out. "WITH THIS COMMAND I CALL YOU! DIVINE BLESSING CONVERGENT GUARDIAN WATER SPIRIT VIVIAN!"
The world briefly shook, the sea rumbled. Elizabeth immediately noticed something wrong.
Drip.
She sensed water.. Water everywhere. She glanced towards the sea for a few seconds, before her eyes widened.
Wet.
She sensed a huge abundance of water in front of her, she immediately returned her gaze on Belmo only to be met with an open palm that belonged to a woman, stretched out and too close to her face.. And too blue, the skin was blue.
SPLAASSH!
Her head was nearly blown off, causing her to lose her grip on Belmo. She had just been hit by a highly-pressured blast of water, the continuous stream of water slowly became a blue beam and continued to push Elizabeth towards the sea.
Elizabeth regenerated her head from the blast and imbued magic on her palm, making a slapping motion and hitting the beam of high-pressured water and redirecting its trajectory. The force from her slapping it away caused an explosive force of shockwave that reverberated throughout the entire island.
The water spray disappeared soon after, giving Elizabeth a clear view of her new opponent.
It was a floating woman, blue and translucent skin, a majestic dress black and white dress floating them from her form. Her hair was just as long as her's, except it was tied similarly to buns, next to it was Belmo coughing on all fours, still regaining his breath.
She's… Never heard of this before, dragons sure, but a water spirit as strong as this one? It must've had such a long history for it to be this strong then, then again, Oceania was a kingdom she doesn't remember from her time, maybe due to it being incredibly far.
Either way, that's just another enemy, the water spirit seems to be stronger than that despicable man who's name will soon be `Dead man` once she gets her hands on him, strange though.. She should have been able to crush his neck when she caught him.
She didn't get to focus on that thought when the Water Spirit, Vivian blasted her again. Elizabeth countered with her Blood magic and made a swirling shape, easily prying off and dispersing the water beam. Her eyes suddenly widened when she saw electricity traveling throughout the beam, it reached her barrier as electric shock exploded everywhere, causing her to momentarily lose control.
Her defensive blood barrier lost its concrete concentration, causing it to weaken under the immense pressure of water. Her barrier broke and she was blasted backwards, the beam kept continuing pushing her to the water and making her roll on the water like a skipping stone. She eventually had enough and used her magic to blow it all apart, her explosive outburst reached even the beach slightly throwing off Vivian and Belmo.
She stopped the momentum of skipping like a stone through water by using her ability to fly, she grumbled and wiped some water off of her face.
"That… was strange, I was overwhelmed?" She felt suspicious, something was going on here. Her enhanced sense of hearing picked up on the sound of water forming something behind her, just like before she turned around and was met with another open palm.
"Guh!?" She leaned back to the side, avoiding the annoying water beam and using her claws to swipe at the water spirit.
Her claws cleaved Vivian into five different sections, the water spirit simply regenerated its parts because of the surrounding water and resumed her attempts and blasting Elizabeth again. The Blood Queen was forced back and had to dodge the Water spirit's attacks multiple times, this became even more taxing when the water below her, aka the whole sea suddenly grew tendrils and fired towards her direction.
How turn the tables, it was using her usual tactics of combat. A massacre of nonstop magic barrages until your enemy was overwhelmed by the quantity of attacks, Elizabeth was currently getting a piece of her own medicine and grew annoyed. She raised her hand in the sky and fired her own rain of blood attacks.
Her eyes narrowed when she saw the water barrage overwhelming her blood rain…
Did she get weaker? No, that wasn't possible her strength never waned back in the Haven, not to mention she just had a power-up from the Blood Moon six years ago. Was it from his attempts at poisoning her? That didn't make sense. She was a master of blood manipulation, she should at least be able to tell if something was off with her body.
She nudged her head to the side, dodging a water projectile flying at high speeds.
'This usage of water as projectiles.. ' That in itself was very strange, water wasn't a good conductor for magic and couldn't be used at this proficiency.
That did not seem to apply to this spirit, granted, her name was the Vivan, water spirit .
Likely the very same one Oshiana is currently celebrating. The gender for the water spirit was never confirmed in Oshiana's history; it seems that she was a woman in contrast to most folk tales.
To make matters worse, she was surrounded by water. Something she as a vampire did not get along with, vampires, especially progenitors did not DO well in water, being submerged in water really weakened them for some reason, maybe it has something to do with the story of the Goddess Beatrix purifying the sea.
Speaking of being surrounded by water, this water spirit, Vivian was it? Showed the ability to reappear where there was water nearby.
That made for a good technique to catch enemies off-guard, really good for ambushes and overwhelm enemies under a submergent of water and attacks.
She scoffed, their exchange of aerial and ranged attacks continued on for a while, with Elizabeth losing the clash of firepower. She felt a weird sensation ringing from inside her and nearly made her focus on her ability to fly.
…Ah, now she sees why.
This set up, it did feel strange as to why that man Belmo was desperately trying to run away. He wasn't running away, but rather luring her here.
Bright Sunlight still casting down, The sea and the water bombardment. It was both to weaken her.
Upon realization she needed to change the territorial field, she immediately started flying away towards the mansion once more, only to be met with a silver sword lodging itself in her stomach.
Belmo had thrown himself at highspeeds to stab her using a silver sword, grumbling something in annoyance, Elizabeth threw multiple blood attacks at him, to which the man dodged with his lightning speed movements and started falling down to the sea.
'What was this fool thinking? He can't fly—?!'
To her surprise, the man had landed on the water and walked on it as if it was normal ground. Great, so it IS a territorial advantage on their side, this man was prepared she'll give him that. But now that they were in the same spot.. She decided to increase her output to the maximum while being weakened, bringing her hands together and compressing huge amounts — And I mean, HUGE amounts — of blood together, her defensive attacks were all now disposed of as variants of water projectiles started hitting her, as well as Belmo helping out with a few of his own attacks.
Elizabeth did not flinch, she kept on continuing to mold this catastrophic mass of magic into something that'll help her end this faster.
Ten seconds later she felt herself weaken even more, the attacks kept on continuing, holes and burns in her body appeared everywhere. She didn't bother with them until she felt her magic finish.
She smirked.
"Remilya once told me that saying attacks outloud was useless, but it did make up for a cool factor. Let's see if she's right shall we?"
Her breath paused, her smirk remained as the world slowly became red from her power. Vivian Increased her attacks of non stop barrage while Belmo immediately hauled ass upon seeing the Blood Queen pull out something.
Elizabeth brought her hands forth, showcasing to the world.
"Maximum Output : Deadly Rain Blood" The Blood Queen declared.
The world rumbled into crimson death, red filled the skies and a part of the sea they were on became blood red.
Vivian immediately found herself being torn apart by a heavy rain of blood magic, giving her difficulties of trying to regenerate, the whole sea itself was being bombarded by blood attacks raining down on it. Everywhere was death and magic, Belmo desperately clung to his life by eating another Tear and running away, it was already his third Tear.
As the water spirit fought to keep her form and being alive, she saw the Blood Queen with her hands clasped together. She was raising her output, Vivian glared at her and brought forth the might of the sea, if blood rained then water would rise.
They clashed once more, magic to magic as explosions appeared everywhere akin to how Elizabeth clashed with Shadow using her blood against his slimes.
She was being overwhelmed… Again.
Seeing the water spirit Vivian getting closer to her while enduring her array of attacks, Elizabeth realized that holding back was a no-go against this opponent if her current strength itself was being weakened by quite a lot.
She closed her eyes, opening them as she released her hands from one another and started gathering blood towards her center.
She concentrated on something new, something strong and destructive, something that her daughter wanted her to emulate.
Coagulation.
Mixture.
Magic.
Compress and Imbue.
Between two powers.
Polarized blood into perfection.
She clasped her hands together and readjusted her hold, gripping a non-existent weapon as she stretched her hands wide, a spear-like construct made out of her magic and blood spawned.
The world rumbled, the spear hummed as she took hold of it .
Vivian, a water spirit with a consciousness forced to obey those who use Oshiana's artifact, felt fear for the first time in her life.
Belmo was already back on the island, preparing himself for whatever may come.
Elizabeth aimed the spear at where Vivian was, enforcing fear upon a mythical creature.
The Blood Queen roared, her voice reverberated throughout the entire island as she screamed. " LANZA DEL RELAMPAGO!"
The world exploded.
"Talk, where the hell is your base?" said Zeta, holding a man over the edge of the Caste of Oshiana's tallest building.
"I-I'd rather die than tell you!" The man wearing a lab-coat persisted.
Zeta scoffed, being in a terrible mood after her talk with her lord. "We can make amends."
The man's eyes widened as Zeta slowly unclasped her grip on his collar, until Zeta suddenly sensed something.
"..." Zeta's eyes slowly widened, this sensation… Her eyes whipped towards the sea. "It's… Stronger than Alpha's magical pressure by a small margin.. Who is—"
Then she remembered, there was one being other than Shadow present in Oshiana capable of pulling off a feat like this.
"The Blood Queen, It seems we're late." She grit her teeth, she COULD go there now, but it's likely that her Lord is already on his way towards the Queen… Or his beloved, she supposed.
Her conversation was still fresh in her mind, and it hurt, alot. Rude as it may, she wished Alpha was here to tear the Blood Queen a new one.
If she could , Beta had once told them that the Blood Queen was stronger than Alpha five to six years ago, it appears that the Blood Queen was still stronger than the current Alpha, even if just by a bit.
She shook her head and Instead focused on the task on hand, she'll just focus on finding their base to distract her mind away from her conversation with Shadow.
Now if she can only get this idiot to talk—
"-Oh shit, I accidentally let go."
He was really pissed off.
Cid Kagenou- Or currently disguised as the Super Elite Agent John Smith, grumbled.
' I can't believe my luck has betrayed me today, what the hell man? I thought we were pals Lady Luck'
Why was he so annoyed and upset you ask? It all started when he separated from Zeta and started roaming around Oshiana, completely bored out of his mind and stealing people's possessions - He cut off from that for now since he was still betting on that promise by Elizabeth - While he waited for some kind of signal from Zeta to start moving.
While roaming around the fashionably aesthetic Kingdom, he took note of how similar this kingdom was to Midgar. Both aspects of Modern and Medieval Era's being present, something he didn't mind and actually had some fun with, he spent the night mostly meandering around and looking for any opportunities to roleplay as John Smith.
Sadly, no such luck as the whole kingdom was literally too busy celebrating this... Uh.. What was it called again? `Water Spirit` Festival thingy. Annoyingly loud as it was he appreciated the residents here for having a taste for clothes.
Oh and he spotted a red-haired little girl flying away last night too. Pretty sure she was a vampire, couldn't really see much of her features since she was using Mist form to fly away. He DID try to chase after her, but when he did he got distracted by that ITCHY spot again! Even if it had been a brief distraction it was enough for him to lose the girl AFTER she hid her presence.
Dude, a little girl just suppressed her magical signature enough to hide it away from him . For whatever reason he really felt proud at that moment.
Speaking of that, something about the red-haired girl was off when he was speeding towards her. Like REALLY off, he swore he sensed His and Elizabeth's magic wavelengths mixed together in that girl, completely making a whole different signature.
Different as it was he still felt his signature and Elizabeth's in the girl, once he lost the Lil'Vampire he thought about using Atomic Radar to find her - And Elizabeth-san as well - But went against it as it would rob him of something intriguing to figure out.
What? He's been BORED for the past two years, sue him if he wanted to give himself a challenge by not using his awesome hacks to skip a whole storyline.
After that, he tried finding the red-haired girl whom he now dubbed as `Lil' Vampire Girl` by limiting himself to blending around with the crowds. Suprisingly enough, he wasn't able to find her again, not a single trace of her magic was left when she flew away. That was a really cool technique he wasn't going to lie, he could do something on a similar scale or even better but it was still surprising to see someone capable of doing such a feat, at a really young age no less!
When he was looking for her his mind was mostly occupied with figuring out how Lil'Vampire had his and Elizabeth's wavelengths inside her - It still is - Eventually after a good long five hours or something, he stumbled upon a Casino after deciding that walking was better than speeding around to keep himself distracted.
Out of curiosity, he'd gone inside the Casino and started playing around while thinking about Lil' Vampire. A little break wouldn't hurt him after hours of limiting himself right?
Oh how wrong he was, Lady Luck had it out for him last night, like damn!
"T-This sensation…" John Smith's voice wavered, his emotions undergoing some terrible experience as he grit his teeth in fury. He was a man who's emotions were usually calm and composed, but he did get pissed off once in a while. But his anger was rare, he rarely felt so.
And when he did, shit went down.
"I FUCKING HATE THIS SLOT MACHINE!" He said while slamming his fists on the Slot machine.
Bah! He seriously hated gacha sometimes, his pocket-money he brought with him was going to go dry if he didn't win at least a single jackpot here. If it came to it, he'll just steal some jewelry again. That or break this whole place and steal their money, but that was out of the line.
What kind of moron would rob a casino? The whole point of it was to spend money and win some.
Inserting another few silver coins, he started rolling again.
"Come on, win me some." He grimaced while looking at the slot machine. After a few seconds of rolling, the slot machine showed his results
`5 3 2`
"FUCK—! This thing is rigged dude!" He slammed his fists again in shame.
And after that, he left the probably-rigged Casino and resumed his search. Thinking again, his mind traveled to Elizabeth as to what his supposed girlfriend — If they were ever a thing, his mind still remembered when she kissed him after her confession to him, that had been a surprise at the time and didn't know what to think of it.
..? There it is again, a skip in his heart followed by a growing itch on the lower back of his neck. This thing has been consistently annoying ever since he arrived in Oshiana. He used his magic to try and figure out what was wrong with him, to his surprise, there were some hidden traces of Elizabeth's magic signature lying around out.
He was currently walking around scratching the same annoying itch that had been torturing him ever since he came to Oshiana.
He refrained from using his magic to heal whatever was wrong with him after that, his mind now more distracted as he was multitasking on synthesizing Elizabeth's magic that was on the itchy spot behind his lower neck and brainstorming what the Lil' Vampire's connection to him and Elizabeth was.
He closed his eyes as he began to concentrate more on using magic to scrutinize the spot on his lower neck, the other part of his mind going to the Lil' Vampire that distracted him just as much as Elizabeth does.
His heart skipped another beat, his mind slowly getting clouded with thoughts about Elizabeth the more he thinked about her.
'LANZA DEL RELAMPAGO!'
Great, he was now thinking about her so much that he's imagining her using a famous iconic attack from one of the show's he's previously watched for inspiration.
Hold on, was that Elizabeth he was actually sensing or…? Nah, it's probably the weird thing itchy spot thingy. He resumed his musings until he walked to a familiar street where a certain Blood Queen lives.
Sensing more Traces of Elizabeth's wavelength, he continued walking until he felt a huge abundance of her magic to his right. Opening his eyes, his masked form was greeted with the sight of a fashionable and luxurious huge Red-Gold painted house.
His eyes landed on the nameplate on the right side of a small gate.
"Vlodquinn." He read.
Remilya watched, her jaws slacked.
Her mama really did it, she used it, a fictional move that she loved. She kept her promise.
Her eyes watched as a ginormous red beam of light erupted from the ground to the skies, briefly painting the world red, red light flashed the clouds red.
T-This was how strong her Mama was!?
"HOLY SHIT!" She screamed out, before covering her mouth and looking behind her with panicked wide-eyes.
Auntie Lelaine and Uncle Nicholas had heard her swear, uh oh.
Thankfully the couple was too occupied looking at the hellish power of her Mama, which now slowly dissipated into nothing.
Heh, that meant her mama won didn't it? Who's gonna survive that, No one! That's how! Hahaha!
She wanted to see Rando's reaction right now, he definitely heard her mama scream out the magic words of `Lance of the Lightning`.
She looked around for Rando, her eyes traveling around the group of survivors. She frowned, she couldn't find him. She increased her sense of eyesight, her eyes glowed red as she tried to find Rando.
Now that she noticed, none of the nobility around her age was here too, the people around her were adults.
"Auntie, Uncle, where's Rando…?" She asked them.
The couple shook out of their stupor and looked at her in confusion, they looked around as well looking for Rando.
"Rando—?"
BANG!
—However their search was interrupted when she heard the sounds of someone getting shot, her eyes whipped to the side, one of the nobles had just been killed.
Her eyes widened as she practically flew into her feet, the people already screaming out in fear. S-She thought it was over, there's more!?
Her eyes darted around the clearing and saw countless people wearing black cloaks and staff uniforms with rifles, the black cloaked people were running towards them with swords, their eyes bloodshot and widened, while the fake-staff members fired at them.
Remilya used her remaining magic reserves to create a protective barrier around the people she was protecting.
"Everyone! Get behind some cover please!"
Auntie Lelaynee helped Uncle Nicholas move while the rest of the nobles frantically scurried off for some cover.
She clicked her tongue, her eyes caught a small glimpse of the ninja-guy from before on top of the rooftop holding a small… Child covered in a black body bag, in the lower floors of the Mansion she could also see a group of children in body bags being taken away.
…Wait, is that one the rooftop… RANDO!
"Rando!" She worriedly shouted, damn it, she was stuck protecting these people!
Thankfully, the barrage of gunshots ended when she heard the sounds of destruction. The side of the mansion she was facing was completely obliterated as a woman with long-red hair appeared before her, killing most of the black-cloaked men.
"M-MAMA!" Her eyes gleamed with sparkly colors and relief.
"You good? Brat?" Her mama asked, wait. Brat?
Her mama turned around with a brand new scoff and mean-looking face. Remilya immediately fell to her rear and got scared.
"W-Wawawa.."
Mean-Mama saw this and immediately panicked, her scoff softening as she tried to comfort her daughter.
"W-Wait, I'm sorry! I-It's me your mama!"
"Mama doesn't glareeee" She cried out.
"I-Ugh, why did I have to be the one to get here, look Remilya, I have a technique that allows me to make clones of myself, think of uh.. Split personalities with bodies of their own!" Mean-Elizabeth explained, Remilya looked at her and made an `o` expression.
Before she remembered something important. "Mean-Mama! Rando got taken away! As well as the other kids my age!"
"M-Mean mama?! I-You know what? That fits." She stuttered, before getting serious. "And I know, one of my clones Is already chasing after that idiot who thought he could sneak up on me, not sure about the other kids though, I don't know where they went." She scoffed, her sensing abilities were being affected as the main body was weakened.
"I-I saw them being taken inside the mansion! Save them please."
Mean-Elizabeth looked at her daughter, her expression softened. "I was going to anyway." She patted her head and turned back to the mansion. "Stay here with the nobles, I'll get rid of these idiots and save those brats, my uh.. Other self, you can call her Cheery-Mama or something will save Rando."
That was all Mean-Elizabeth said before she thundered back to the mansion, creating an absolute massacre to those unfortunate to be on her path.
Remilya slumped to the ground, at ease now that her mama was taking care of things..
But seriously, clones? She wanted to learn that so bad, if she somehow learned that and could create four clones, there's so stopping her from slapping gem-themed wings on her back and wearing a white hat.
"-Hmmpphh–!"
"Huh?" Her eyes darted around in confusion, there should be no one close to her because all of the survivors/nobles already ran away, and there was no enemy nearby–
BANG!
Ugh!
A bullet suddenly pierced her shoulder blades, groaning, her eyes watered a little from the pain. She painfully turned around to face her adversaries who SEEM TO KEEP COMING WITHOUT STOP!
Her eyes widened when she caught sight of seven nobles, five of whom she recognizes to be one of the few she saved. Five Second Children and two First Children, Remilya didn't know this but she could feel the difference between them.
The other two were new, she noted. Two of the nobles holding onto two child-nobles as hostages while one of the new ones was a woman holding onto a boy whose head was bagged only just like the other two child-nobles being used as a hostage, she didn't recognize either of them.
None of them smelled like Rando too, the boy who was being held by the woman had a strange scent though, as if being masked by something.
She glared angrily, she wanted to scream WHY were they doing this. She saved them and they're stabbing her in the back!?
Then she remembered, back at the gala there were a few nobles with silver knives inside their coats…!
These people must've blended alongside the survivors she saved when she blew that wall open!
They all started firing at her, Remilya prepared herself and lunged.
"Don't worry I'll save you all!"
"I don't think I remember Elizabeth-san having a last name…" He said while looking at the nameplate.
Sending particulates of his magic around the house, he searched the entire house without moving from his spot, no one was home but he could tell who lived here.
Three traces of magic signatures.
Elizabeth, Lil'Vampire and that maid girl from back at the train… So he WAS right, that girl had been the person he plagiarized some lines from.
His curiosity had been fulfilled, now this whole thing had his attention now. He broke inside the house without any difficulties, having lockpicked the door with ease.
With an occasional rarity, he felt rude and guilty for having snuck inside their house without their consent, Elizabeth had left him off with the money he still had from her and he was here yet again, snooping around her home when she was out.
Well, it's probably fine. Not like he's gonna steal anything from her again, she was simply too scary to steal from because she could easily see through him.
Man, he wanted that level of perceptiveness.
He roamed around the house and noted the huge amount of toys and books lying around. The Itch on his back became worse as he walked around, his heart skipping a few beats when she smelled Elizabeth's fragrance around the house — Which for some reason was still here, did she use perfumes or something? —-
He then saw an array of picture frames above a fireplace in their living room.
Curiously, he strode forward and took a closer look at the pictures.
"..."
Elizabeth had a baby..?
"She had a kid…? Since when and with who..?" Cid confusingly asked no one. He didn't know what to feel about this as he clenched his fist.
Was he supposed to be jealous?
Dude, he was so confused. He's an Eminence in Shadow not a loverboy, scandalous drama involving relationships was something he did not DO!
Come on man! What was this feeling of annoyance in his chest?
Before making any more judgments, he picked up another picture frame and got a closer look of the Red haired little vampire, Red eyes and Red Hair. It was a picture of Elizabeth and the Little Girl at school, the former wearing nice and cozy casual clothes, if he had to admit, made her look beautiful. The little girl was wearing a red-dress of some sort, holding a sign that said `Winner of Children's Oshiana costume play : Remilya Vlodquinn as an Eminence`
"..." He froze, and after a few seconds he put back the picture frame almost robotically and roamed once more.
He entered every single room without hesitation and eventually found Elizabeth's room that was red-themed, matching the Blood Queen's very color-scheme.
Again, he felt REALLY rude to be intruding here. But something was really picking on his attention, like an annoying bug that won't leave him.
He was about to leave when saw a terribly-hidden diary on top of a shelf, tall enough to overshadow someone of Elizabeth's height, but not him.
Looking at the diary, he felt various emotions whirling around him. He then furrowed his brows and removed his mask, putting it on a desk and grabbing the book.
During these past few years, Cid Kagenou or Minoru had somewhat grown as a person after a few talks with his friends. When he was roleplaying at one point, some dude started yapping about how he thinked of the people around him. The dude's speech was hard enough to get him to think about everything he's been doing up until then.
It was then that he realized he was really being a dickhead to them by ignoring them and using them as means to roleplay as an Eminence In Shadow. Sure, he had that mindset of `trimming the fat` but did that HAVE to include making people around him suffer? He did notice that some of them were actually serious about their griefs and feelings and were not roleplaying.
After that he had a talk with Alexia of all people after she discovered his identity, a few bla bla bla bla's and he realized, dang he REALLY was a dickhead to them. He spent a few weeks thinking about his actions and his ideals that time, then he thought.
Technically, he could still be the Eminence in Shadow he so wished to be without having to manipulate people he knew and cared for, that thought was even deepened later on after he had a talk with the whole gang — The Shades.
Something he won't be getting into detail.
His eyes inspected the book and felt it in his hands, hesitantly, he opened the book without regards to privacy as his attention was at an all time high — That and it was effectively getting rid of his boredom.
Two birds with one stone, he could do this to get rid of his boredom while he waited for Zeta.
As he started reading the contents, Cid continuously grew nervous and guilty. The diary contained Elizabeth's very thoughts and honest opinions about him, a new and different perspective now that he thought about it.
After a few seconds of flipping pages, he finally got to that part of Elizabeth's diary.
The night where she confessed to him.
He read all of the contents and balked.
After reading the contents of that segment of the diary, he closed the book without finishing it and sat there for a few seconds.
Before he mouthed off the first few things that came into his mind.
"Oh shit, I owe her child support don't I...?" And his other being, "I have a daughter now… I'm a father." He said with an unsure tone. He slowly stood up and put on his mask.
He returned the diary where he found it and walked back to the living room.
His hands shook, his jaw closing and opening repeatedly.
Finally, he couldn't hold whatever he wanted to scream out, a primal roar that overshadowed his other thoughts.
"LET'S FUCKING GOOO!"
Instead of being nervous about the thought of having a daughter or being angry at Elizabeth's trickery on him, he focused on one of the very things that he'd been wanting to do for a while but never made an effort to do.
"I CAN SAY `I'M YOUR FATHER' NOW!"
Cheery-Elizabeth closed in at high speed at the weird-ninja-guy called `Siopilos` and reeled her scythe.
The man was frantically running away from her, which wasn't really going to do anything to help him, the man had managed to run a sizable distance away from the mansion, but not far enough!
She bisected the man in a flash, and grabbed Rando who was currently body-bagged.
Strange though, she swore that man had a leaner build, not this lanky one.
Oh well, gotta check up on Rando-kun first. She gently dropped the boy who was in a body bag, she tore open into the bag with ease, her eyes immediately widened.
"Hold on, you're not Rando." She confusingly said, looking at a whole different child. It was a girl who was tearing up.
Shit, gotta comfort a girl now.
But wait… If Rando isn't here.. Then where?
She mentally called her other self.
"Cheery-Mama to Mean-Mama, are you there?"
Her other self inside the mansion scoffed.
"You were listening when our Daughter called me that?"
"Of course! It's rather cute don't you think?" Cheery-Elizabeth cood
"Of course you'd find it cute, get to the point, what do you want?"
"Rando's not here."
"What?"
"Siopilos, or well, if this IS him, had a different child kidnapped. I can't tell because my detection is really numb right now."
"Rando isn't here either, I'm still removing the bags from the kids, go find Rando while I tell our main-body."
"Got it."
Mean-Elizabeth felt the mental-link cut off, and groaned. "Where the hell are you, Rando?" Seconds later she called her main-body.
"Yo, Mean-Mama to Shitty-Mama you there?"
"Yo, Mean-Mama to Shitty-Mama you there?"
"What."
"Whoa, so grumpy. What's up with you?"
"If you've got nothing to say then cut this mental link, I need to deal… With this son of a bitch."
Mean-Elizabeth frowned from her side.
"What the hell do you mean? You've already exerted enough force to break a whole mountain, what the fuck are you on about?"
"Just tell me what you called me for already!"
"Fine, Remilya's straight man to her shenanigans is missing, just telling you in case you could sense the brat, mine's too dull."
Elizabeth grimaced, she'll have to keep that in mind.
"Find him with the other me, I'm too busy dealing with this water spirit."
She cut off the mental link and returned her gaze to her opponent.
Water from the sea slowly floated above sea level and formed, morphing into a woman again.
Vivian regained her form with smooth and flowing speed, her eyes fear-stricken at Elizabeth's show of power.
Her regeneration started from one point, like a core. Elizabeth noted.
The Blood Queen narrowed her eyes, taking note of her enemies cards in this fight that were too similar to hers.
The Water Spirit seemed to be nigh-immortal when there's a huge body of water nearby, namely Okeanos' sea where they're currently fighting.
'Just before my attack reached the sea, this Water Spirit immediately melted back into the water and ran away a split second before my attack exploded.'
She needed to kill Vivian with something instantaneous, trying to bring the fight back at the mansion wouldn't do as well, as there was a lake nearby.
It was either kill Vivian or kill Belmo, neither was an easy option because one was too difficult to kill and the other was annoyingly fast.
She had to choose one of these options, in her hastily getting weaker state. If she had to make a calculated guess, her strength had probably lost around 40% of original strength.
Both from the sunlight and being continuously drenched in water, that and whatever Belmo had injected in her earlier. The yellow cloudy mists from earlier weren't that problematic because she managed not to inhale them.
She'll admit, it was foolish of her to ignore that, now because of that she's being weakened. Whatever is inside of her is taking some time to cleanse, whatever the case she was still vastly stronger than these two.
To her annoyance, Belmo was still alive, no doubt gasping for life at the beach.
ZAP!
Speaking of the devil, the bastard came running again into the fight and stood next to the Water Spirit.
She clicked her tongue, she stretched her arm outward calling for her Blood Scythe once more.
But first, she needed some questions to be answered.
"I'll be honest, you've made quite the effort just for this fight." Elizabeth said, annoyed at the current outcome of the fight.
Belmo panted heavily and smiled. "Why thank you your majesty, I've solely focused all of my time and heart on this very moment."
Elizabeth exhaled heavily, getting more annoyed at her drastically lowering strength. The sunlight was also starting to get to her as her skin was starting to emit some small patches of burning sensation.
"I can see that, I would praise you for your efforts but this Queen is rather annoyed at the moment. Tell me, why are you doing this?" She breathed out with some difficulty.
Belmo looked like he had expected this question at some point and snorted. "It's simple, Shadow is to blame for all of this, I would have called him your husband, but I didn't realize the Blood Queen was in such a scandalous drama."
Elizabeth's grip on her scythe tightened, her annoyance slowly becoming anger.
"How do you know that?" She seethed out.
"I'm quite sure Lelaine Omadolcnte had thought she was clever by sending a message to you, I've already predicted that she'll try this at some point, did she not tell you?"
Right, Lelaine's message contained a small part telling her that this man had control over the entire Kingdom. She never told Lelaine or anyone from the Omadolcnte's about her falling out with Remilya, so it's not possible that it was them that told him.
Did Remilya tell him? Unlikely, her daughter was not the type to share drama to people whom she didn't consider a good friend.
If not, then when did he..?
..! Right! There was that man back at the Festival that left moments after she had her breakdown, she vaguely remembered the man leaving a small box with an inverted glass and had only forgotten about it because she'd been distracted.
Maybe it was an artifact or a device that allowed you to listen to people at long distances.. Damn it, she wasn't really too privy to this era's technology.
"If your grudge is with Shadow, then why involve my daughter in it?" Cid-kun didn't even know the existence of their daughter, what good would exacting his revenge on them do?
Belmo huffed. "Is that even a question? I'm a researcher, your majesty. And when I see something worth being subjected to my research, I will achieve it no matter what." He declared, "No matter how high the risk was, if the reward is worth it, then I shall commit myself to it… After all, it's not every time you'd get to see a Dhampir born from the Strongest Progenitor and a Monstrous man like Shadow."
Hmph, Typical bastardized mad-scientists and their reasonings. "If you're committed to this, then know that I will not grant you a quick death."
"I didn't expect you to, your daughter already has decades worth of trauma to deal with." Belmo smiled.
Elizabeth's expression became a cold fury, her eyes becoming sharper than a pissed off Alpha. Her Blood Magic erupted around her and became sharp projectiles, she aimed it at them and fired, charging alongside her own projectiles, hand on her scythe.
Vivian immediately reacted to this and willed the sea to do her bidding, water immediately rose up at highspeeds, looking to interrupt Elizabeth's charge.
Elizabeth weaved through them with a crimson grace, roses seemingly coming out of her afterimages. Her blood projectiles were raining down to block any attack that came near her.
Belmo grimaced, the Blood Queen had decided to get serious. There was no doubt that this was going to be the hardest part yet, the only reason he's made this far was because of his preparations weakening the Blood Queen, had she had access to half of her true power she would have killed him instantly.
His magic sprung to life as he charged forward, Vivian's thousands of projectiles following behind him.
Both fighters charged at one another and came face to face.
Sensing his life in danger, Belmo immediately threw himself to the right as Elizabeth swung her Scythe downwards, cleaving a gigantic part of the sea in two. Belmo lashed out with his silver sword towards her neck, Elizabeth angled her head and parried with the end of her scythe, a dozen blood projectiles came towards moments later as he dodged.
Elizabeth chased after him only to see a giant looming shadow above her, she glanced up and saw a huge body of water, the swirl of water slammed down on the Blood Queen, only for it to be sliced apart cleanly.
Elizabeth continued on with her chase on Belmo, the two became a blur moving from one point to another, clashing across the entire battlefield.
Normally it wouldn't have been possible for such a person to be able to walk on water, but the artifact he was carrying provided more than just summoning the Water Spirit, it also allowed him to walk on water.
But also allowed him to move inside water without any problems, it even enhanced his abilities.
On the other hand, Elizabeth was doing her best not to get too close to the water, lest she lose more of her strength even if it was temporarily.
Elizabeth swung her scythe around with such ferocity and grace, fighting in close-quarter combat had never really been her kind of style, but Belmo's speed made it difficult to hit him. She split her attention in two, ranged against the Water Spirit while close-quarters with Belmo. She reeled her arm back, bringing out her claws and swinging at Belmo.
Belmo desperately dodged to the side, had his speed not been boosted by the Tears he would have died from that as her claws literally cleaved through the sea just like with her Scythe.
Belmo brought his sword up to parry another scythe swing from Elizabeth, which proved to be a mistake as her superior strength completely overwhelmed him. However he took advantage of it by grabbing onto her arm and shocking her. Elizabeth didn't budge from it until Vivian slammed down on her, submerging all of them in the water.
Elizabeth frowned and shook him off of her by kicking him in the side, the man spat out blood underwater as he was sent downwards deeper to the sea. Unfortunately for Elizabeth, she was inside the water with Vivian, the water surrounding her immediately increased in pressure as if it was trying to crush her, Elizabeth grit her teeth as she resisted it. While at the same time a tendril made out of water infused with magic wrapped itself around her leg, pulling her deeper in the water.
Elizabeth tried to break free by releasing her magic like an explosive wave, only for her to be disrupted when a large amount of discharge electrified her.
Damn it! She forgot about his magic.
She exerted more effort on trying to break free, she tried to use Blood Magic only for her constructs to dissipate into nothing. Right, she was surrounded by water, Blood coagulation didn't get along with water since they were both completely different liquids.
Physical strength wouldn't help in this either, she needed to focus on her magic..! Elizabeth gathered magic from her stomach, a small orb coming to life as she tried her hardest to focus on it.
Vivian and Belmo's combined attacks made it difficult for her to concentrate, even more so when Belmo came swimming up with unbelievable ease, swimming like the fastest of fishes. Likely another passive that came with Oshiana's Artifact.
The man that stood on equal footing with Fenrir came lunging in, stabbing her in the stomach with his silver sword.
Elizabeth instinctively gasped in pain, she didn't let go of her concentration on her magic despite the pain she was currently going through. When Belmo saw that she wasn't fighting back, he knew that she was going to attempt to blow them all away again, but he also saw this as an opportunity.
With the Water Spirit Artifact, even firearms should work properly underwater. And with that thought, he pulled out the Thompson Contender and placed the end of the gun on her chest. Elizabeth's eyes widened, thinking that he aimed to shoot her In the heart, she released a small amount of her magic to blow away Belmo, but it was too late, the man fired the gun and hit her in the chest.
To her infinite confusion, the bullet didn't pierce her. But rather, it exploded around her, the water near her becoming black inky.
'Another poison? That won't work, I've already increased my defenses against those.' She inwardly thought. It may not work on her, but the weakening caused by being submerged into water was REALLY getting to her, if she didn't get out of here quickly, she would end up being weaker than him.
As strong as vampires were, they had too many weaknesses.
The water-based attacks underwater kept coming at her, from tearing into her and turning her into a pin-cushion, to literally trying to crush her to paste while Belmo's magic electrified her body to no end.
Reaching the last of her wits, she released the wave of magic she was compressing. Exploding and blowing the entire space near her, Belmo was quickly shielded by Vivian the moment Elizabeth exploded. The sea briefly grew a giant hole as Elizabeth flew out of it, giving her time to breath and regain a fraction of her strength.
She was breathing heavily, exhausted by their continuous attacks. If Shadow Garden had fought these two in their territory, they would have likely been torn apart unless they blew the entire area away.
Unfortunately blowing a small part of the sea didn't really do anything as there was literally the REST of the entire sea unscathed.
"To think I'd be weakened to this extent.. I can see how humans managed to hunt down my fellow progenitors in the past."
From the side of her eyesight, she saw Belmo and Vivian ascend from the water. Elizabeth threw back a set of her wet hair covering her face.
"Your use of magic is unusual," Said Elizabeth, trying to stall for time. Being submerged really weakened her to an extent.
"Ah, why thank you, I take quite the pride in this actually." Belmo said with a satisfied face, he waved his hand around as electricity zapped around. "As a researcher, I first studied how far I could go with magic. Then once I joined the cult, I had witnessed their experimentations and results with the Tears of Diablos', what intrigued me first was not the temporary power boost it gave me."
He looked at her and reached out to her, his palm open as electricity danced around. "It was the change in Magics characteristics that was put under the Tear's influence, I saw that it became erratic and sharp, like how electric currents acted. It danced around and became quicker, so with that In mind, I quickly studied why it acted like that, then it took me a few more years until I finally figured out how it worked, after that my research was found by Fenrir-sama. He helped me become the man I am today as my power and knowledge grew."
"You deliberately change your magic to emulate the same wavelength as electric currents." Elizabeth guessed.
Belmo's expression slightly lightened, not expecting the Blood Queen, someone so literally behind the times to say something like that. "That's.. Quite surprising, you seem to have knowledge about modern science."
Elizabeth puffed her chest. "Please, my daughter is more creative than you with how strange abilities work, I really oughta stop buying her novels." After a brief moment of relaxation, her eyes became serious. "You couldn't have possibly thought you could actually beat me, did you? Belmo Ontrippofz, whatever you have been doing, like poisoning me won't work. I've already raised my defenses against it."
The Researcher's face became stoic, although his eyes were deadly serious as well. "Beat you? Hilarious, my ego is big but not that barbaric.. I've already known beforehand that beating you was impossible even with my preparations." he replied. "I don't need to beat you.. I'm simply waiting for an opportunity, and when that time comes. You'll become nothing but a Sleeping Queen."
"Cute wordplay," She scoffed. "Are you referring to how you sent your men to kidnap my daughter? I'll admit, Little Rando's disappearance was worrying, but I'm sure he's safe now." Elizabeth smiled, confident in her clone's abilities to find Rando. They all shared the same abilities after all, searching the entire mansion shouldn't be too hard for two Elizabeth's even if their detection were dulled as hers.
Belmo grimaced. "Are you referring to your clones?"
"I sure am, I'm guessing you know that because of my history?"
The man huffed. "Of course, what kind of fool would I be if I didn't carefully study my enemies?"
"True enough." Elizabeth closed her eyes, before opening them. Remembering the conversation from earlier, until an idea sprung up.
"Electricity huh..? Basically thunder and lightning." Her eyes briefly traveled to the clouds, the sunlight now slowly burning patches of her skin. "Why don't I take some ideas..?" She muttered her breath, she waved her hand in front of her and prepared another barrage of Blood magic.
Vivian immediately reacted and prepared her own array of attacks while Belmo stanced himself up.
Blood rained within an instant, both forces going back to overdrive and sending attacks of their own. Elizabeth kept waving bladed blood attacks towards Belmo while the man ran around to dodge them.
It was only then that Elizabeth changed her method of projectiles, turning them all into elongated tendrils with different branches, like a root spreading down beneath a soil.
Vivian was momentarily overwhelmed, the Water Spirit trying to think of a way to counter Elizabeth's new method of attack. Belmo on the under hand simply huffed, dodging the new slow projectiles with ease and weaving through them to get closer.
This exchange continued for half a minute, not a single one hitting Vivian and Belmo. For a moment the man thought the Blood Queen was losing her aim, until he saw that she was intentionally missing.
He frowned upon seeing this, he quickly made a quick calculation as to why the Blood Queen would do this. All it would do is quickly exhaust her, even if her reserves were monstrous.
Until he noticed something strange, deciding to take a risk for his confusion and stood still for a second. They all missed, for a moment.
What..?
Then he saw something rising out of the water, continuously ascending without stop..?
Belmo looked up into the skies in confusion after seeing most of her attacks miss, the clouds were unnaturally whirling and turning dark.
A convergence..? She's manipulating water into the skies at a rapid rate, but why? Is that why she was intentionally missing? Vivian appeared to be confused as well.
'Water isn't a good conductor for magic, but could nonetheless be used for tricks like vampire attacks. But rather than using it to attack me, she's using it to raise them up into the skies. That didn't make sense, they were surrounded by a large body of water, that converging of water and clouds, the water evaporating due to a huge stressing of magic didn't make sense either. Why would she- Wait, evaporate? Converge..?'
Belmo's eyes widened in alarm.
She's using magic to forcefully evaporate and cause condensation within the clouds! It finally made sense why it had suddenly gotten darker, the clouds filled with water are now slowly blocking the sunlight, removing one of her weaknesses out of the table!
"Ara? Finally noticed it, Cultist-san?" The Blood Queen spoke across the waters, a wry smile slowly forming over her face.
"You blood-sucking bitch-GAHHH!" The end of a high-heel caught his face before he could finish his line, Belmo was sent flying skipping through the water like a rock after Elizabeth had kicked him. The Blood Queen pulled away her leg and dashed off after him with another follow up with her scythe.
Vivian appeared to be caught between rocks, wondering what she should do. Protect her current user — Despite how she disliked him. — Or stop the strongest vampire from what she was doing?
"VIVIAN! STOP THIS BITCH— GUAH!" Belmo said as he recovered from the blow, only to be met with another foot to the face. Elizabeth found using kicks was faster than swinging her claws and scythe so she decided to use it to stall.
Vivian warped from her spot to Elizabeth's front, using bladed water attacks to intercept her. However instead of dodging it, the Blood Queen took her attacks, surprising the Water Spirit. Elizabeth lashed out with her hand and dug her entire arm inside the Water Spirit's chest, grabbing a small core that looked like it was mechanical.
Vivian gasped in fear while Elizabeth smirked, she was now slowly regaining most of her strength since the sunlight was being blocked out by the convergence in the clouds.
"So that's where you're weak." Elizabeth smugly said while Vivian froze. "I was wondering why a being connected to the sea would run away from my attack when they could simply regenerate with the endless source of water, unless they had a weakness they needed to protect…"
She took hold of the core, holding it with three fingers. "See this Vivian-chan? This is checkmate."
The Water Spirit silently screamed as her core was crushed, Vivian''s form slowly melted into nothing.
In the distance, Belmo recovered once more and stared in horror. "Y-You managed to kill Vivian.. I won't be able to call upon her for another decade..!"
Elizabeth noted that his ability to walk on water didn't disappear, it seemed that the Artifact was separate from the Water Spirit, and was simply something that allowed the wearer to control Vivian.
"What will you do now, Belmo Ontrippofz? With the sunlight being blocked and my strength slowly returning most of its original state, and the death of Vivian-chan. You've effectively lost." Elizabeth condescendingly said, taking satisfaction in the man's desperate and fear-stricken face.
"N-No…! Siopilos what are you doing!? T-This can't be, I just need to stall!" The man howled in anger, he was losing his composure and started hyperventilating.
"It's over, Belmo. Settle down and die with dignity."
Belmo looked at her with bloodshot eyes, his teeth grinding with one another in pure anger and desperation. "LIKE HELL IT IS!" He took a small jar out, he immediately took one and ate it at lightning speed.
"Tch." Elizabeth was already on the move to stop him, unfortunately her speed was still not back to its original level causing her to miss out.
Belmo exploded in a sparkly fashion, he took out another weapon from his coat — A strange ceremonial blade, likely silver from how it gleamed —- It shone with a strange vibrancy that gave her the creeps. That was no normal dagger, that's a whole damn vampire-hunting weapon.
If had it the entire time, why didn't he use it?
Belmo's electric current exploded everywhere, his wounds healed because of the sudden increase in magic like before, his form becoming lightning yellow as he dashed forward. Dual wielding the ceremonial dagger and his silver sword. "GRUAAAHHH!"
Elizabeth met his charge with her scythe, becoming a red crimson blur and clashing with him. roses flying everywhere as they moved around in highspeeds. Belmo was desperately increasing his speed in exchange of his lifespan, his muscles tearing from the continuous increase in electrical current.
Elizabeth on the other hand was merely frowning, annoyed that most of her strength was still not back, about 10% was back from her reserves.
It didn't take long for Elizabeth to start overwhelming him, she started pushing him back by increasing each force behind her blows back to the mansion. And when they arrived at the shore she reeled back and traveled with graceful speeds, once she got close she swung her scythe in an upward arc. Belmo saw this and blocked with both of his blades, only for his defenses to be penetrated.
He gasped, while Elizabeth smirked.
She twisted her torso, reeling back her free hand to claw him, Belmo's life flashed before him, unfortunately for him there's nothing that could get him out of this situation.
It was over—
CRACK!
"-BRAT NO!"
"-REMILYA-CHAN!"
Her form froze when she heard her clones scream in worry, moments later an explosion of magic.
Followed by an anguished, and agonized.
The cracks within innocence slowly broke.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH—-"
Cry of a child.
Both of them froze,
The world was suddenly illuminated in a red and black light, Belmo looked at marvel despite his current position, he saw the light as something incredible and groundbreaking.
Elizabeth on other hand, saw the light as something dreadful. She looked at it with a horrified and shocked expression.
And as innocence broke. Anguish followed.
"TRULY MARVELO— GUHA!" "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!" Belmo screamed out something until Elizabeth punched him with haste, making sure to use her full power. Red-crimson magic bursted forward from her fist making contact with Belmo's face as she threw him into the forest.
The force of the Blood Queen's punch ragdolled Belmo throughout the field and slammed through multiple trees. Eventually he stopped as his momentum died out, the man completely bloodied and motionless.
Elizabeth didn't look to check if he was truly dead and flew towards the destructive light that was Remilya.
"Remilya!" She cried in worry.
Minutes before Remilya's outburst.
Remilya flew towards the Second Children with intent to save the people they were holding hostage, they naturally reacted to her movements and started dispersing out, firing at her while they moved.
"Wait!" She screamed in determination, bouncing off the ground and reappearing in front of one of the Second Children's, completely dodging his shots, she reeled back her fist and punched one of them to the ground.
In an amazing feat of power in her age, she managed to knock him out in one hit. She looked to another Second Child and dashed towards them, bringing a sweep kick to their face. The Second Child attempted to block it with his silver dagger, but unfortunately for him it broke upon contact with her leg. Her kick persisted through the dagger and hit him in the face, launching him away.
Remilya smiled inwardly, she felt awesome. She could feel her powers getting stronger for some reason.
She didn't even realize most of her injuries were closing on their own, the bullet inside her shoulder from earlier being pushed out by her flesh.
Her foot tapped on the ground as she landed, disappearing in a burst of speed. With her quickly growing power she immediately took another two Second Children out before running towards one of the Second Children holding a hostage.
The man panicked, seeing that shooting her was useless. He brought a dagger to stab his hostage, only to be stopped by Remilya's hands holding onto the blade. The man gasped as Remilya punched him straight in the face, ragdolling him away. Effectively leaving the two stronger opponents left.
Wasting no time because of her fading mana reserves, Remilya slammed to the ground dashing towards the male First Children. To her surprise, the man had thrown his hostage at her.
Remilya slowed down to catch the person, careful not to ram through them. When she caught the hostage, she sighed in relief.
Only for her eyes to widen in horror as a knife pierced through the kid's middle torso, it went through and stabbed Remilya in the shoulder as well. Causing her to scream in pain as the SILVER dagger dug through her flesh.
Another blow to the child's innocence.
The First Child took hold of the dead corpse and threw it to the side, removing his dagger and gripping it like a sword. She panicked and jumped backwards, only for the man to surprise her with his speed and slash at her, Remilya felt the burning sensation of the silver dagger, bringing pain to her.
"AGH!" She groaned, before she was suddenly stabbed again, this time in her thigh. It was then followed by a knee going to her stomach causing her to land violently to the ground.
The boy that the woman behind the man was holding started struggling after hearing Remilya's pain.
The First Child then walked up to her, gripping her by the hair and throwing her to the ground once more, Remilya whimpered in pain.
"M-Mama…—-"
"-Disappointing." The man suddenly spoke, Remilya froze, not expecting him to speak as his face was completely stoic. "The power you've been bestowed upon birth, It's unbelievably powerful and yet you can't even use it properly. You're stronger than I am and yet you lost to a weakling like me."
Remilya knew she held great power, but why did everyone expect her to know how to use it? She was only a kid. She wanted to complain out.
"I envy you." The man spoke again, Remilya's side-eye looking at him in confusion, why was he telling her that? "I envy that you have great power as a child, I envy that you have this kind of power you could use any time"
The stoic man's eyes became cold. "I'm envious, and furious." He grit his teeth.
Remilya got tired of it and mouthed a few words. "S-So what..?"
He grit his teeth. "If I had that power, I would have been able to save the people I held dear when I was younger. If I had that power I wouldn't have had to join the cult and become the person I am today, I strived for power like that so I wouldn't lose people important to me anymore." he looked at her coldly. "And yet you're here using your power selfishly, I've read reports about you child. You merely use it as a plaything whereas there are other children across the world wishing for the same power so that they may save the one they love."
Remilya froze, as a child's mind was very active and imaginative. She started thinking about what he had said, then her mind flashed back to Belmo's speech about `Templates`.
"You think we're evil? You're nothing but a green-eyed brat raised with everything given to her, you've taken everything handed to you for granted."
Remilya wanted to complain that not everything, but that would have simply made it worse. He wasn't wrong, she'd been using her magic selfishly when she found out she could use it with ease, she used to play around and mess with people, and she used it to run away from her Mama.
Her mind was caught in a conundrum again.
"You do not deserve that power." The man simply said, before lifting her by her head and throwing her inside the mansion.
The woman from the side groaned. "Siopilos, end this already will you?"
The man nodded. "I suppose so, Andreikelo is probably dead by now."
The man now revealed to be Siopilos started walking towards Remilya with his Silver Dagger, Remilya pushed herself off the ground and looked at him with tearful, terrified eyes mixed with a little bit of guilt.
"Guilt-tripping the child with a fake story, how cruel." Athoryvos, the woman holding the last hostage said under her breath. Remilya would have heard it if not for her currently having a panic attack, memories flashing back to when Belmo nearly killed her before.
"So child, will you just stare at me or do something?" Siopilos pressed. "Just as I thought, you're merely a selfish child. Not even doing anything to save the hostage we're holding."
Remilya walked back, anguished by his words. "S-Stop.. Please."
"If I had your power, I would have been able to save so many."
"Stop.."
"You can't even save the one in front of you."
"Stop…." Remilya's voice weakened with each word spoken by Siopilos. The little girl fell down on her rear and closed her eyes. "M-Mama.."
"Calling for your mother now? Truly selfish."
"Stop…"
"Have you no shame?"
Remilya took a deep wavered breath, her body shaking uncontrollably. Siopilos saw this and gave a silent message to Athoryvos, the woman nodded and started undoing the body bag on her hostage.
Siopilos looked back at Remilya and pressured her more.
"Think about all the people you could have saved if you instead learned how to use your power!"
"I…"
Athoryvos started running towards them with a steady speed, slowly removing the body-bag on her hostage, with one pull she removed it completely revealing a dirty blonde and bright blue eyes of a boy who had a cloth in his mouth.
Finally given sight once more, Rando saw Remilya on the ground with her eyes closed, slowly tearing up. Rando immediately started struggling more as they got close
"But then again, I wouldn't be surprised. You're not only a selfish child—"
"-Told you.."
"But also a child of a monster, you damned vampire."
CRACK.
"TO..!"
That was the last straw, a metaphorical string broke as Remilya instinctively gathered the last of her magic. Blood around her coagulated and formed into sharp spikes, giving her some sort of barrier.
Athoryvos used her magic to reappear in Siopilos' original position as the man had already jumped away. She removed the cloth covering Rando's mouth.
"Remily—!"
"-STOOOOOPPP!" Remilya exploded, blood spikes formed everywhere. Her magic swirling like wind similarly to her mother's.
SHICK!
The sound of flesh being pierced reverberated in her ears, Remilya froze as she heard Rando's voice last second.
With shaky and hesitant eyes, she opened them and looked where the voice had come from.
CRACK!
Blood dripped down on a familiar suit vest, Her eyes grew even more empty and horrified.
"A-Ahh.." Her jaw opened and closed.
"R-Remilya.." She shook as she looked at the one in front her.
Skewered in the middle.
Was Rando.
The boy coughed out blood, reaching a dying hand to her. "I-I'm.. Glad you're.." The dying boy slowly said.
"You're.. Okay.." His hand then fell, his body becoming motionless.
"R-Rando..kun?" The coagulated and solidified blood spikes made by Remilya dissipated on their own, she crawled towards him unconsciously. "R-Rando..? W-Wake up.. This isn't funny."
Her mind ignored the giant hole in the boy's chest, her mind completely distorting and fatigued by everything. Her eyes shook uncontrollably.
"N-No.. You're not dead right? P-Please, Rando?"
No reply.
She saw his blood slipping down his body, and to her dress as she lifted his head. "Rando..?" Her voice weak, she called out to him again.
Before her eyes finally traveled down to the giant hole in his chest, "N-No… Rando..!" her mind slowly crumbled looking for something to help. She unconsciously drooled, getting close to blood who's scent was too good to ignore.
"I-I know.. If I bite you, y-you'll live, right..?" She smiled desperately, her mind was now not working properly, not only due to this traumatic experience but because of her lack of blood pressure, she hasn't taken Mary or Elizabeth's blood since yesterday's morning.
Her stable mental health from before had allowed her to control herself despite being surrounded by blood everywhere, but now that she was nearing her breaking point, her true nature was now breaking free.
Siopilos and Athoryvos watched from the side, their missions complete. Now all that waited for them was death.
Her mouth salivated, her vision becoming hazy and unclear.
There was only one thought in her messy mind now.
Blood.
She brought Rando's neck and bit it without hesitation and started drinking.
CRACK!
The final last strings of her innocence broke.
Remilya soon came back to her senses due to having blood now, she looked at her lap and saw BLOOD , Rando's lifeless body and BLOOD everywhere.
Movement came from the Mansion as Mean-Elizabeth bursted outwards, her hands slipping on the grassy field to redirect herself towards Remilya.
Rando wasn't moving, he wasn't turning into a BLOOD vampire.
From the rooftop was Cheery-Elizabeth already flying at maximum speed.
She also broke her BLOOD promise to her mama.
Both Elizabeth's finally caught sight of their daughter, and the blood on her mouth. They grew desperate and hoped that was not what they thought it was.
She drank BLOOD.
And she BLOOD loved every second of it.
Her magic rumbled and trembled against the world, her possession marks growing across her body before disappearing and turning into red cracks across her body.
Remilya's mind finally processed everything.
Both Elizabeth's felt her power suddenly increase, her magic gathering so fast it felt like it was going to explode.
Rando was dead.
They were too late, they both realized—-
"-BRAT NO!"
"-REMILYA-CHAN!"
She killed him.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH—"
Remilya broke.
As Siopilos and Athoryvos were immediately obliterated out of existence, Mean-Elizabeth immediately swerved to the side and flew towards Lelaine and Nicholas, reappearing in front of the couple who was hiding behind a cover, she grabbed them and flew away with extreme speed.
Cheery-Elizabeth moved as well, sweeping the remaining noble survivors and using her blood to throw them into Mean-Elizabeth's direction who caught them with ease with her solidified blood. Cheery-Elizabeth brought her hands forward and blocked the catastrophic magic disaster that was Remilya's magic outburst.
Both Elizabeth's were furious at themselves for taking so long to find Rando, only to realize he wasn't anywhere but rather with Remilya.
When they arrived it was too late.
The sound of whistling air being cut entered her ears, Mean-Elizabeth had already dropped the people down somewhere far while she continued to try and stop Remilya's explosive cry, the sound became something else as she heard the sounds of someone flying towards their position at high speeds.
"Took her long enough, Main body-chan!" Cheery-Elizabeth screamed.
The real Elizabeth didn't hesitate to fly inside the magical storm that was Remilya, she grit her teeth as she felt herself being constantly hurt by her magic.
This was insane, when did her daughter become this strong? And since when did her magic look so dark and red?!
Not important, she needed to calm Remilya first.
She looked around the magical storm and found Remilya in the middle of it, she was sitting inside the mansion. Elizabeth grumbled something and flew down despite the continuous pain she was enduring.
She landed down painfully, the closer she was to Remilya the output of the storm was. It was even managing to push her back, this magical outburst of Remilya's might even be reaching near one of Shadow Garden's shades.
With enough tenacity, Elizabeth slowly stomped her way towards Remilya. Each second being painful, it was difficult to get close.
With one last push, she managed to hold onto Remilya and hug her.
"REMILYA! CALM DOWN!" Elizabeth pleaded.
Remilya did no such thing and continued to cry loudly, the storm becoming stronger. Elizabeth grimaced, she needed to do something.
But what..?
She was foremost a terrible mother, her daughter was now traumatized and screaming in anguish and she didn't even know how to stop it.
W-What should she do…! Elizabeth cursed herself inwardly, suddenly she felt her other clones entering the storm, themselves having trouble getting close. With a few pushes they managed to get close enough to turn it into a group hug. "Y-You two—"
"-Shut it you bitch! Do something about this!" Her meaner self said.
"-You need to stop Remilya-chan or else she's going to fall deeper into the rabbit's hole!" Her nicer self said, they might be her clones and possessed the same abilities, their personalities were different from one another.
"I-I don't know what to do!"
"HUH!? IS THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY YOU DUMBASS!? YOU HAD THAT TALK WITH MARY AND YOU CAN'T EVEN KEEP WHAT YOU SAID!?" Mean-Elizabeth cursed at her.
"Please! You're the main body, Remilya is more likely to listen to you!" Cheery-Elizabeth pleaded.
Elizabeth closed her eyes and felt guilty, what could she do? WHAT CAN SHE DO!? She can't keep on relying on Mary for things like this, she told her she would make amends and be a better mother.
How can she say that when she was already looking for help from someone for something SHE should be fixing!?
Her mind grew quiet for a moment, her mind going through her memories, nothing good to help her.
"..."
She said she was going to be a better mother right? Did she mean that from the heart?
Heart..
Heart… That's it!
She'll just follow her heart and let things fall naturally.
She took one pained breath. "Remilya.. If you're listening to Mama… I want to say I'm sorry."
"Sorry that I've been a bad mom, that I let you go through all of these. I'm sorry that I kept you away from your father." She struggled to continue. "I'm really sorry for all of this, If maybe… Maybe if I stayed with your father none of these would have happened. All I've ever really wanted was to be with you, to make sure you grew up a normal girl.."
The storm's intensity weakened, Remilya's crying also lessened if only by a little.
"If you want someone to hate, you have me." Mean-Elizabeth said from the side.
"If you need someone to hug you, you also have me." Cheery-Elizabeth joined in.
"So please.. Calm down, Remilya Vlodquinn… It hurts seeing you like this, I don't like seeing you like this and I wish to never see you like this ever again.."
The storm slowly disappeared, her clones also joined back to her after a while.
"When this is all over.. I promise we'll see your father, Y-You'll love him. He's a really nice and kind person, so please… Calm down."
The magical storm shrank.
"And… If you ever hated me, I'll never leave your side. From now on I will always stay with you.."
It shrank until it completely disappeared, the continuous comments from Elizabeth that came from her heart calmed down Remilya. She was desperately clinging to her mother, the little girl stopped wailing, her crying only becoming weeping as she hugged her mother, immediately melting into her motherly arms.
Elizabeth finally released a breath she didn't know she was holding and relaxed with Remilya now in her motherly arms. The little girl weeping heavily in her mother's arms, she looked around and saw that her clones were now gone. A little bit more of looking around she saw Rando's body, strangely unscathed and not destroyed from Remilya's outburst.
She saw the memories of her clones and understood what happened. She grimaced heavily. "Remi.. It wasn't your fault." Elizabeth comforted her daughter, drawing circles on her back.
The little girl didn't say anything, she continued to cry and hug her mother. The fight may be over now but she felt her heart fall down.
"Remilya.." She rested her chin atop her head, while she waited for Remilya to say something, Elizabeth made a quick search throughout her body for anything that was foreign. Sure enough, there was something just like she'd expected, Liquefied-Silver. So that's what Belmo injected in her, it was mainly the thing weakening her and she had no doubt it'll take a few hours for it to disappear completely.
Vampires were weak to silver after all.
"Remilya..?"
The girl didn't reply again nor respond in any way, Elizabeth knew this would take a toll on Remilya's mind, even if young Rando somehow survived the damage was already there, her daughter had already been traumatized and she couldn't even stop it when she had the power to do so..
Damn it, if only she finished off Belmo and came here to stop this from happening her daughter wouldn't have had to go through all of this, her clones shared the sentiment.
Goddess, she was a really terrible mother wasn't she…? Elizabeth hugged her daughter closer.
She closed her eyes and sighed, looking at the boy again, she opened her mouth to say something. "Remilya… Rando will be fine." She paused for a second, making sure if what she's going to say next was the right one.
"It may not seem like it, but you helped him survive." She stated, looking at the poor boy's current state which was now getting better – Thanks to the Impromptu vampirism her daughter gave him. It was a miracle he hadn't turned into a ghoul instead, given that he was already dead when her daughter bit her, from what her clones observed at least.
'It must be because of my blood inside her and the possession, I don't know when she developed it but it seems to be harmless to her..'
Rando would survive, his instantaneous transformation to a vampire surprised her.
Remilya didn't say anything, Elizabeth's heart continued to ache at her daughter's pitiful state.
It didn't take long for the Hybrid to croak something out.
"B-But… I still hurt him, I didn't know how to control my strength, because of that I accidentally hurt him.." A sob came from the girl. "I-I even drank his blood, when you told me not to."
Damn it, her daughter sounded broken , another reminder to her failures as a mother.
She sighed. Traumas did not disappear from a person's mind once they've been scarred, the person only grew and adapted to it. Hopefully she'll be able to help her daughter earlier before she has to deal with this when she grows up. She caressed her daughter's hair "Remilya, it's not your faul—"
"-But it IS!" Remilya cut her mother off, digging her head further in her mother's arms. "I.. If I only knew how to control my power, he wouldn't have died! If I didn't come to him, Neither Rando or Auntie Lelaynee and Uncle Nicholas wouldn't have been hurt..!"
"If only I didn't run away from you..
Elizabeth frowned heavily. No, her daughter was wrong, Belmo had deliberately come here with having already taken hostage of the Omadolcnte Family by controlling them from the shadows from what Lelaine had told her through the letter, and lured Remilya – and thus, her too – to this provincial mansion, he was a madman bent on taking revenge on Cid-kun through them. His motivations were not only to take revenge on him but also to experiment on her daughter.
It was only because of Lelaine's sneaking of later that she managed to get here sooner.
Fuck.. Even then, her daughter was now blaming herself for all the destruction and death that happened here no doubt.
It felt so unfair, unfair because all of these were technically her fault too.
If only she didn't waste time and went back to Midgar they would have been safer, If only she wasn't so clumsy and stupid then Belmo's spy wouldn't have been able to learn of her relationship with Shadow, If she didn't talk so callously and carelessly about her crisis during the Festival, Remilya wouldn't have overheard her and ran away and given Belmo an opportunity to exact his plans, If she didn't take so damn long to take out Belmo then Remilya wouldn't have had to fight for her life and accidentally kill young Rando in the process.
So many If's and regrets, not enough do's or done's. She's not achieved a single thing ever since the Have. Everything up until now had been a mere fluke, a fluke that had consequences that was now coming back to bite her in the ass and to the point it even got her daughter involved..
It's as if every single one of her fears were starting to come to reality, starting from when Remilya ran away from her.
"A-And then.. I drank his blood, I ate a part of him, I b-broke my promise…" Her voice wavered, a profound disgust directed at herself.
And that too, she wanted to ignore that part. Her daughter had just gotten the taste of actual blood of a human. Once a vampire had a taste of human blood they became addicted to it at the start, no matter how much self-control they had. "You were only trying to save him Remilya, you did what you thought was best-"
Remilya tightened her grip on her mama, she was holding onto her so tightly Elizabeth felt her nails digging into her "-No! It wasn't!"
"It wasn't! It wasn't at all MAMA!" Remilya screamed out loud, startling Elizabeth "What I did made it worse! And you know what's worse!? I ENJOYED IT WHEN I DRANK HIS BLOOD! I don't even know why, I-It felt amazing drinking human blood.. I hate it." Elizabeth suddenly choked, looking at her daughter helplessly. That opened a whole new can of worms Elizabeth wished would never happen.
Remilya's whimper worsened at the memory, the Blood Queen silently prayed, PRAYED that it wouldn't go there , that her daughter would not end up like her.
'Please, please don't say it, you're not like that.' She begged.
When Remilya had the ability to walk out in daylight unscathed and very much not burning, it gave Elizabeth the hope that her daughter wouldn't need to drink blood in the future, much less go berserk, but hearing her daughter's claim of enjoying blood was a sign of vampiric nature being deeper than normal.
That hope immediately died.
"Remilya-"
In the midst of her despair, Remilya said something Elizabeth never wanted to hear, something that she wanted her to avoid at all cost, something to.. To keep her from turning into a bloodthirsty monster who killed thousands of innocents… because the moment Remilya utters those dreaded words would mean she failed as a mother.
Unfortunately for her, the fear welled within became true.
"I-I'm a monster.. Nothing but a bloodthirsty monster." Remilya whimpered out.
Something broke like glass inside Elizabeth, she dared not try to figure out what it was as she already knew what broke.
"Remilya, look at me."
"M-Mama.. I can't take this." She sobbed "T-That bad guy was right, I'm a mons-"
Elizabeth gasped with a troubled and distressed look.
" REMILYA VLODQUINN , LOOK AT ME!" For the first time in her life, Elizabeth yelled at Remilya, startling the girl. The hybrid eventually did and raised her head.
She came face to face with her mother, who's own eyes glinted – Not with power or vampiric charm, but tears.
"You will listen to me." It sounded more like a desperate plea rather than an order. "You are NOT a monster, you hear me..? If there's a monster here.. It would be me."
"Mama-"
"No talking, just listen." It was clearly a plea this time. "Your mama.. Has made many mistakes, she's wronged so many people.. Including your papa too.. I've done so many bad things so if there's a monster here it would be me. What you did was an accident. You are NOT a monster."
The girl's already fatigued mind did not even try to imagine or think about what her mother meant by being the monster.. That wasn't possible.. Her mama was always sweet and caring, she did everything in her power to make her happy, clumsy sure, but she knew she genuinely cared for her..
"Mama.."
"You hear me? None of this was your fault, It was all mine, so please.." Elizabeth hunched over, her voice seemingly getting weaker. "Never call yourself a monster.."
"But.. Rando.."
"Will be fine" Elizabeth finished. "His mother and father are safe too, just unconscious. So please, do not blame yourself, Remilya. This is all my fault, not yours.." Elizabeth pressed her forehead with her daughter's.
"You're not a monster." She whispered, quite as it was, it sent the message Elizabeth wanted to convey as Remilya's heart skipped a beat.
Remilya wanted to disagree with her mother, she wanted to lash out at everything and cry out her feelings more.. But that would likely just end in more destruction. Her mama was the best mom she could ask, hearing her mama say that it's her fault felt wrong, but even then, the six year old's mind knew her mama wasn't perfect. They'd probably talk about this later, after they made sure everyone is out of here. Out of that man's control..
Elizabeth's form relaxed, It wasn't perfect, but at least Remilya had finally calmed down, that's a plus on Elizabeth's books. All that's left is to get out of here along with the Omadolcnte Family, her body was already weakening with each second – She'd have to give credit to that scoundrel, for all his madness the man was dedicated to his revenge against Cid-kun, even going as far as to preparing multiple ways of taking her down. Even if it failed. – Still, it still weakened her due to the liquefied-silver currently running in her veins, it would take half an hour or so for her body to be completely rid of the silver.
She looked at her daughter, she'd have to apologize to Remilya and by extent, Cid-kun as well, for everything she's done. Her young daughter was already subjected to something she shouldn't have been because of her failures, she can't afford to let her stay in this.. Bloody place.
She pulled back away from her daughter and gave her a weak smile.
"Remilya, how about we grab everyone else and leave this place now..? Sunlight isn't exactly healthy for your mama." Elizabeth said while wiping her tears away. The sunlight used to be extremely harmful to her, but because of a certain gentleman, she was now able to fare better under the sun's beautiful light.
Remilya nodded in agreement, eager and desperate to get out of this place. She was tired, and it showed.
"Mhm.." The young girl wiped her own tears away and returned the smile. The Mother and daughter duo shared a smile with one another, tensions finally disappearing and their figure's relaxing.
However… As cherishable and enjoyable it was to be happy, happiness was also stripped away easily in contrast to finding happiness. It was something that was not just, it was something that can be taken away so easily.. Way too easily.
"This is quite the tear-shedding drama you've made, Blood Queen. I wonder how many people you've stripped of their loved ones in your past?"
The strained and weak voice of someone who should be dead echoed throughout the mansion.
Elizabeth's eyes widened in shock. Every instinct her body screamed.
A burst of speed exploded around them as Belmo appeared behind her, wounds healed. The same strange ceremonial blade that gave her the creeps poised to stab her, sparks of lightning flying everywhere as time came to a slow halt. So slow only beings at the same level of speed could react to.
The color of his lightning had become dark-red, meaning he ate another one of those beads.
But…This wasn't possible, she killed him, she knows she killed him by landing such an attack even Shadow would feel if he were to be hit. Belmo was severely weaker than her by a sizable league and did not have the same level of durability she or Shadow had, he was fast, sure, but that's because of his application and use of lightning based abilities. Even then, he was still slower compared to the likes of her.
So why was this man still alive and kicking!?
In a mere instant, she willed magic to both her body and blood, reaching for a non-existent scythe made out of blood to bisect Belmo, it wouldn't be too much of a task to kill the man now since he was slower than before, even with the liquefied-silver circulating in her body.
But something was wrong.
Something was REALLY wrong that sent shivers to her spine, she didn't know why, her enemy was literally behind her. One swing of her scythe, or just have her blood turn into deadly tendrils and kill him.
All it would take is just one, ONE simple attack to kill him.
And yet.. She couldn't, something was wrong .
The very bad kind of wrong.
It was only then that she noticed she couldn't use her magic.
SHE COULDN'T USE HER MAGIC.
WHY?!
Elizabeth's eyes widened in terror, her mind flashed back to their earlier conversation.
" Please, my daughter is more creative than you with how strange abilities work, I really oughta stop buying her novels." After a brief moment of relaxation, her eyes became serious. "You couldn't have possibly thought you could actually beat me, did you? Belmo Ontrippofz, whatever you have been doing, like poisoning me won't work. I've already raised my defenses against it."
"Beat you? Hilarious, my ego is big but not that barbaric.. I've already known beforehand that beating you was impossible even with my preparations." he replied. "I don't need to beat you.. I'm simply waiting for an opportunity, and when that time comes. You'll become nothing but a Sleeping Queen. "
"Cute wordplay," She scoffed. "Are you referring to how you sent your men to kidnap my daughter? I'll admit, Little Rando's disappearance was worrying, but I'm sure he's safe now." Elizabeth smiled, confident in her clone's abilities to find Rando.
Belmo grimaced. "Are you referring to your clones?"
"I sure am, I'm guessing you know that because of my history?"
The man huffed. "Of course, what kind of fool would I be if I didn't carefully study my enemies?"
This bastard, he had another thing up his sleeves! The black-mist that he shot when they were underwater! She thought it was familiar despite the strange tint.
That damn thing had the same smell as the `Sleepful God`, his naming of `Sleeping Queen` should have been something she should have picked up!
Even without her magic, her physiology allowed for Inhumane capabilities even without the use of magic… Except, she was currently no less weaker than the average Dark Knight because of the poison coursing through her veins.
'D-Damn it! He planned this from the beginning! To weaken me first before removing my ability to use magic!' Elizabeth felt helpless. She watched as the strange ceremonial dagger drew closer where her heart would be.
Despite her attempts, she knew she can't dodge nor block the inevitable `death` that awaits her, her crouched form didn't allow for mobility, even if she could, she couldn't dodge as Remilya would get hit instead.
She couldn't block or dodge this, once again she was reminded of her failures as the man had outsmarted her. Twisting her form as she might, it wouldn't do anything to save her from this very well-thought plan.
She's done for.
Instead, she pushed Remilya away as hard as she could so the little girl wouldn't be stabbed as well.
Unbelievable pain erupted from her chest as the blade went pierced through her heart.
She choked on air as pain she'd long forgotten continued to agonize her, but she didn't scream, even if she didn't.
SHE WANTED TO.
Something was off with this dagger! She was used to pain. And yet, and yet! The pain was so unbearable she started to tear up.
Had there been a Blood Moon, she would have shrugged off such a simple impalement, unfortunately, she didn't have such luck.
This wouldn't kill her however, no, she was the Blood Queen. As if she would let such a thing stop her from coming back to life. She didn't die when she stabbed herself in the heart centuries ago and simply put herself into a comatose state even if she had intended to take her own life, it would be the same here as long as the blade impaling her heart was removed… But that wasn't her main concern.
Remilya.
Remilya.. Oh no.. Please, not her, the emotional turmoil this will place on her daughter. Remilya only knew the general gist about vampires, not the fact her mother was the Blood Queen and couldn't be killed easily when impaled, she and Mary had intentionally left that part out in an attempt to make her life simpler, otherwise she could accidentally mention her lineage and bring trouble.
Except, this situation would and will only bring harm to her daughter.
To Remilya, It would be the same as having watched her mother die In front of her. Her daughter's already gone through enough, watching her `die` in front of her was just too much.
This bastard would also take her away and do something to her, the thought of that brought sheer anger and agony to her.
Mary.. Shadow.. Please, anyone, save.. Remilya..
'Remilya.. Don't.. Look…' She begged her daughter to run away, unfortunately her words couldn't be voiced, her hand reaching out of her daughter as her world was slowly eaten away by the dark tendrils of unconsciousness.
"..Run.." Was all she managed to quaver before she fell lifelessly like a puppet without its strings.
A young, but frail and fickle mind's foundation shook again.
Eh..?
…Eh?
Mama..?
Why did she push me away?
Why is she falling down..? Why's there a blade coming out of her chest? Mama's saying something but I couldn't hear it, why's she reaching out to me..?
Why is there blood..?
'Mama..?'
Remilya shook, she watched as her mother fell `lifelessly` to the floor.
"M-Mama..?".
Her eyes never left her mother's `dead` figure, sprawled on the floor as her blood continued to spread everywhere. She wasn't pushed that far so Elizabeth's blood slowly traveled to her, the blood covered her dress and bottom parts, but she didn't so much as wince or flinch from the cold, warm, blood of her mother. She just stared at her sweet caring mother… Who was not moving.. Why was she not moving?
Why was there blood-
S̷O̴ ̶M̴A̴N̵Y̵ ̵B̵L̷O̵O̸D̵ ̷W̸A̶S̷T̵E̶D̷̵ V̴E̵R̵Y̴ ̷R̴I̶P̴E̴ ̷A̵N̶D̵ ̶P̴U̶R̵E̴ ̸S̷C̵R̷U̸M̵P̷T̸I̸O̴U̸S̸ ̴B̷L̸O̸O̶D̶̸D̸E̴V̵O̷U̸R̴ ̶H̶E̶R̸,̴ ̵E̴A̷T̵ ̸H̸E̵R̴,̶ ̷L̵E̵A̵V̴E̵ ̴N̶O̴T̵H̶I̵N̷G̸ ̶B̴E̸H̴I̷N̶D̴.̷̶B̶L̶O̶O̸D̵ ̶I̶S̶ ̷R̷E̶D̴,̵ ̷S̸O̷ ̶R̶E̸D̵!̵
-Everywhere..?
"...Mama?" She whimpered, almost sounding like a whisper.
Her hand traveled to her face where a small splatter of blood covered her cheek, her own mother's blood. She touched the blood with one hand, her eyes lowered to her hand as her mother's blood stuck to it.
She shook.
"A-Ah.. Mama..?"
Belmo shook his hand aggressively, trying to shake off Elizabeth's blood that clung onto him. He looked down at the Blood Queen's `dead` body and smiled. He chuckled, his chuckle turned into lunatic laughter. "What a stupid Bitch!"
He stomped down at her.
Incomprehensible emotions, stirring like an atomic explosion waiting to burst, the young mind slowly learned in the worst way possible.
"You thought you outsmarted me by sending one of your clones to kill my men, that you thought I was waiting for my men to pick up your daughter!?" Belmo laughed in mockery. "FOOL! You may be the Queen of Vampires, but you are nothing just but a child with power and age behind her backing. What I was waiting back then for was for the effects of my `Sleeping Queen` to take effect and for Siopilos to make that child of yours lose control, something you failed to realize."
Elizabeth's dead body flinched as he continued to stomp down on her repeatedly, drawing blood everywhere, some of them even landing on Poor girl nearby. "You see this? I'm weaker compared to the likes of you and that monster Shadow, but power is not everything. No no no, being strategic and clever is also a factor. Intellect is a must and power is a desire, look where your confidence in strength got you, on the ground, beaten and lifeless…"
"Not to mention your daughter is now mine to play with." His eyes settled on Remilya's shocked form, the little girl shaking with each second, she was starting to hyperventilate and tear up at the same time.
What a poor girl.. Bah! Who was he kidding? He's totally gonna make this brat wish she was dead, either physically or mentally, or maybe both.
She was the perfect specimen for the Vampire Curse and Possession working in complete tandem, not a single distortion in magic, so powerful and destructive.
She was the embodiment of a monster in his eyes, a monster who was the Cult's very wet dream of getting their hands on.
To call Remilya's mind a mess, was an understatement. An emotional turmoil was pressing down on her young mind the longer her eyes stayed at her mother's dead motionless body, negative emotions overflowed like a flash flood as she tried to comprehend everything.
Her shocked state started to wear off into something worse, one moment she was in her mama's warm embrace, a feeling she wanted to last as long as possible.. Then suddenly it was stripped away, so fast her mind couldn't take it.
Flashes of her magical outburst and bloody gore rebounded back, a destructive force that she had let out, the taste of blood in her mouth.
A scarring within the mind that will never heal, like all traumas. The wind grew cold as it bleeded.
The friendly maids and butlers that filled the mansion, all turned into a smear in the wall.
Auntie Lelaynee. Mr. Nicholas. Both nearly died because of her outburst.
Rando, her best friend Rando , Dead.
Rando's death as a human, resurrected as a filthy vampire unwillingly.
Fed down on his dead body, his scrumptious blood she had taken pleasure in her mouth. The euphoric sensation of craving for more, MORE blood.
A soul crushing guilt pressed down on the poor youngling.
Then.. T-Then now Mama.
Cold shivering was the blood, craving was of the tongue.
Her hollowed empty eyes looked at her mother once more, the woman remained motionless.
Slit crimson eyes lay await for the calamity, unwanted desire for blood, yet born instinctual cravings won out.
A silver dagger stuck where her heart would be.
A wasteful use of blood, to let it go ripe on the floor.
Ah.
She finally understood now.
Even if she already knew, she refused to believe it.
Her Mama's dead.
A single tear dropped from her eyes.
A metaphorical damp collapsed.
Her mind shattered like glass.
Vampiric Instincts freed like a curse . A desire of possession akin to a demonic thought arises.
Retrains fully broken, nothing to hold the child of the strongest back.
The Bloody Princess has been awoken.
The frenzy has once again begun.
—-
Belmo laughed hysterically as he strutted towards Remilya. The girl had gone catatonic, her empty eyes only staring at her mother's expired state.
"And they said taking revenge was difficult." He joked. "I may not be able to beat a goddess-damned monster like Shadow, but I can break his beloved ones." He reached out and lifted Remilya by her neck. "You see this child? You may only blame both of your mother and father for this, the latter more so."
Her eyes never left Elizabeth.
"Had he not opposed the Culture and killed Fenrir-sama, this wouldn't have happened to you and your mother." He said so gently, gentle laced with sadistic glee for his newfound research specimen.
"So bear no grudge on this humble researcher." He hoisted her up and threw her several feet into the air. "Because this is not my fault."
He clenched his fist and reinforced it with magic, breaking the hellspawn of Shadow mentally won't be enough, breaking her physically would be needed as well.
For trauma may come as an anguish within the mind at most times, that doesn't mean it didn't come to the body.
He wanted this little shit to feel his wrath, anger for Fenrir-sama's death, burning fury for revenge against Shadow. He may be unreachable by mortal standards, but his daughter was not.
Lightning cackled and sprung to life, gravity got hold of Remilya as she started to fall, unresponsive to everything else.
"FOR YOU ONLY HAVE YOUR FATHER TO BLAME!" His clenched fist met her face as she fell, Magic in the form of lightning spreaded instantaneously as contact came.
The force of the punch was so strong it blew up a gust of wind as Remilya went flying towards a wall, she impacted the wall like a freight train and created a web-like pattern in the wall.
Blood came pouring out as she coughed out unwillingly, she didn't move away from the wall since she was embedded in it.
"The average person with a sane mind would call this rather extensive and brutal treatment for a child." Belmo strode towards her, wiping away the blood from his fist.
"But to me? I would call it foolish, amateurish to damage such a treasure trove of research. But alas, a man who desires revenge must have his satisfactions or else he will be left unsatiated." His saunter started to become a jog.
"And as the daughter of two monsters, one of which is Shadow. I'm quite confident you'll play a wonderful part in helping me with my satisfaction AND my revenge, with first being a MINOR IN PAIN!" He lunged forward and scythed his leg, digging Remilya out of the wall and kicking her away.
The Dhampir gasped in pain from the force.
But before she could be blown further away, a form lightning reappeared a good distance away from her before she was knee'd in the stomach.
She hunched forward in agony, before another closed fist met her side. She flew like a rag doll and violently collided with the ground, before her momentum eventually died out.
He stopped his assault on her when he noticed Rando nearby, the boy was healing at a drastic rate. Ah, so the girl bit him and turned him into a vampire. That was interesting, another research subject he could study if he were to prove to be different from the average vampire.
He looked back to the Blood Queen.
"Phase One and Phase Two are done, Phase Three remains to be seen.." He relaxed. "Then again, I must praise myself for my achievements today, I've not only killed.. Or rather, temporarily deanimated the Blood Queen but also acquired precious research subjects."
He closed his eyes and recalled the details of his plans, reflecting on one's actions after a victory was important after all.
His phase one was slowly traumatizing the girl until she slowly became mentally unstable so it would set up the final part for phase two, then when the Blood Queen arrived his Phase two was in effect, which consisted of weakening the Blood Queen first then fighting her in a disadvantageous environment to her race, wait for Siopilos to break the girl so she would go on an outburst. He was unaware of the details of Siopilos' plan but he was glad to have had such a good subordinate as the man completed his job without fail, he will never forget him. The last crucial part of his Phase two was make the Blood Queen exert as much magic as she could so the air would be filled with traces of her magic, the Liquefied-Silver dulled her judgment on her strength, and once both requirements were met the Blood Queen will think that her strength was at what she thought.
But instead, her calculation would be thrown off. It was what allowed him to survive her final attack from before.
Phase three was something else, and with the Blood Queen's corpse and her daughter in his hands.. "Hahahahaha.." he laughed lowly.
It only made his progress to his final plan faster.
"Soon enough Shadow, I will earn the power to kill you and take revenge for the person I respected." He brought his hand up and clenched it. "And when the time comes, You'll realize that I've used your wife and daughter's power to kill you, I will relinquish your expression once you realize they're gone once I'm done..!"
Belmo stopped his monologue when he opened his eyes, he was greeted with rubble and blood floating and distorting unnaturally.
"Huh..?!" His eyes widened. There was only one person that came to mind If supernatural blood was involved being distorted at this level.
A shiver ran up in his spine, he immediately turned around to face the Blood Queen.. Except, she was still dead, the silver-laced dagger still embedded on her heart.
If it wasn't the Blood Queen, then who?
…It can't be, the brat had effectively run out of magic with that outburst of her's.
His eyes darted to the right, the smear and stains of blood everywhere distorting, it looked like something was trying to pull them in, to suck them in, but it failed. His eyes traveled to the left, same thing. Something or Someone was trying to manipulate blood nearby, he immediately thought of the Blood Queen's subordinate, but she wasn't here.. If not her, then who..? Someone else came to mind, because there's no way he was going to believe it was Remilya Vlodquinn.
The weak shuffling sound of someone struggling to stand up came from behind him, he slowly turned around. He was proven wrong, it was her.
The Daughter.
But something was wrong, his blood ran cold, his body was shaking in fear for some ungodly REASON! His expression grew serious as he observed her, not only was he superior to her, his strength was doubled by the Tears.
The girl was slumped over as she stood up, her bangs covering her bloodstained face, in her hand was a.. Severed limb? But from who? It seemed to be a random person's arm.
She raised her head slightly, her lower face only visible. Her lips parted as she whispered so weakly. At first he couldn't hear anything, that didn't last long as her voice slowly became intelligible.
"This taste, this addictive taste... Blood." The girl- No, whatever this thing was, said softly.
Belmo narrowed his eyes and unsheathed his silver-sword.
"It's dripping.. Flowing.. Falling.. Again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again." Remilya mumbled.
Out of pure self-preservation, his body unconsciously took a step back, his face already ridden with sweat. His serious countenance transitioned between fear and curiosity.
"This left arm is sweet…human's blood is so sweet.." She giggled.
Every second Belmo spent in this accursed fucking place felt like an eternity, because he had a feeling he would be less than just a stain of blood on the floor if he looked away.
"This right arm.. Is also so sweet.. So sweet." Wait, right arm?
It was true, there was suddenly another arm in her other hand, one that looked armored and was holding a strangely familiar sword. A sword that was used against the Blood Queen.
Why did his right side feel light?
Oh.
He finally recognized the owner of the arm the girl was in possession of.
`It cannot be, I didn't even see her move!` he screamed internally.
This fucking monster, had somehow severed his arm without him noticing. He didn't groan or scream in pain in fear of grabbing the girl's attention right in front of him. Self-preservation screamed for his eyes to never leave the girl or he will be GONE .
"Both so sweet, yet the left sweeter.. So tasty.. So Delicious.. So luscious.. Succulent.. So wonderful." The girl lifted the random severed arm, one second she was holding it then the other it was gone. Her palm opened, stained with a handful of blood. "It feels so good."
The girl then lifted his severed arm- Suddenly the entire appendage was gone, what the? The Blood Queen's daughter chewed at something.
As all of this happened, the surrounding blood started to morph unnaturally, taking forms of small thin blades which floated a few feet above the ground.
'Immense speed? There's barely no wind up whenever she does something, it's all instantaneous.' He was right, this little spawn of the Blood Queen and Shadow was a fucking monster, she just ate an entire limb within an instant.
What. The. Fuck.
Maybe he should have just used `Sleeping Queen` on her.
The girl shook, as if in euphoria. Before she started giggling.
"Red… Red.. Red.. Red.. Red.. Red.. Red.. Sweet.. Sweet.. Sweet.. Sweet.. Sweet. Sweet.. Sweet.." The girl repeated her words in a lyrical manner, like a verse.
"All of you.." Her slumped form faced him, she stared at her blood stained hands and giggled. "Sweet.. So sweet! Red.. So Red!"
She hunched over before standing up straight, her gaze on the ceiling as she giggled.
Her giggling turned into a creepy laughter, then all of a sudden she stopped.
Belmo swallowed. His remaining arm shook so heavily while he held onto a holster, it was ridiculous per say, to be afraid of a little girl laughing. He was someone about to be a part of the Knights of the round and yet he's afraid of a little girl losing her mind?
Rightfully so in his opinion.
Her head dropped down, he finally saw her face uncovered by her bangs.
He shivered.
Extremely bright red eyes with slit pupils stared back at him, Remilya smiled, a smile that contained so much craving for blood .
"I'LL KILL YOU!" She giggled hysterically, a hungry smile on her face as she looked at him like cattle.
If the Blood Queen scared him, her offspring downright fucking terrified him.
Remilya lunged forward face first with insane speed, fast but still slower than him even in his injured state. Her jaw bit down on the air where his neck used to be, she would have latched on his neck like a piranha if he didn't dodge.
She slammed onto a wall and immediately came right back for him.
Belmo barely dodged with his life intact, instead of trying to bite him she had stabbed forward with her arms instead. Her fingernails are sharp enough to be a weapon so dodging them was a smart move on his part.
The damn brat was clawing around at him like a monster, Belmo dodged around and felt his increase in magic given by the Tears disappear.
Shit, the timing was terrible. Belmo weaved from an clawed open palm and grimaced as her attack dug through the walls like butter.
'Just the force of her swings are destructive enough to kill me .'
The pain of losing his arm was drowned by his adrenaline as he dodged for his life, he kept dodging while Remilya sent crazed attacks at him.
Their game of cat and mouse continued for a while, the man shamefully rolling to the ground and attempting to save his life.
He wanted to use the Sleeping Queen on her but found himself unable to do so, as it was unloaded, not to mention he had an arm missing.
"AHAHAHA!" Remilya appeared before him, prompting him to duck as she sent a vertical slash attack.
The attacked dug through the mansion and traveled outside the mansion, cutting multiple trees.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" Remilya kept laughing, sending attacks that would have killed him without stopping.
For the next thirty minutes he spent doing nothing but run for his life. The girl was relentless in her attacks followed by bladed blood attacks.
During the ten minute mark, the girl had lost all of her magic and only focused on trying to either slice him apart or eat him alive.
He also saw a few magic spasms out of her once in a while, a strange occurrence in his opinion.
Not too long later, Belmo narrowed his eyes, gritting his teeth to serve as distraction from the unbearable pain as his adrenaline slowly lost its effects.
His eyes caught the glimpse of Magic spasms seeping out from the hellspawn every now and then.
Drawing his conclusions, his suspicions had finally been answered.
'I see now! I thought it was strange that she hasn't killed me yet with her outstanding speed,' His feet touched upon a wall, planted deep before he jumped away to dodge a fatal strike that left a carving in the wall. 'Outstanding speed she did not actually possess but rather a combination of nimble strikes and well-hidden attacks, mostly with her blood-conjured weapons which all have disappeared during the fight.'
A lightning speed of swerving performed by the mad scientist allowed him to dodge an impaling strike that blew a hole across the mansion. 'It seems that the reason for its disappearance is because of her lack of control over her unbelievable power, her unique traits allow for a passive increase in magic capacity and overall combative capabilities, all physical attributes but none mentally.'
A feat thanks to his time as a researcher, his more calculative and curious mind as a researcher overtook the strain of self-preservation and survival instincts, allowing him to be calm and collected despite his non-ideal situation.
'Statistically, the child is still nothing compared to me – or rather, my uninjured and peak state, the reason for my sudden loss of arm was because of my dulled and fatigued senses in which she used one of her blood-made weapons to cut off my arm, all her combat related prowess were all below mine, it's not even shy to say that the child was still weaker than that Maid subordinate of the Blood Queen.'
The reason she felt so threatening was likely because of his inferior human physiology, vampires were, for a lack of word. A predator to humans, her previous outburst had caused him to lose his cool and panic, making it seem as if she were on a similar scale to her Mother.
But when he'd fully regained his sound of mind, she looked nothing more than a feral monster with the power to kill him. Her initial speed and strength were probably on par or higher than his if he was at full strength, but all of that became useless when she couldn't control it.
But still..
'Despite the wasteful use and passively increasing power of her, the perfect tandem of Vampiric Curse and Demonic Possession was outstanding! The marks of possession glowed red instead of black! Is this because of her magic? Or her lineage as a vampire? So many questions and yet no answer!' The man gleefully but maliciously smiled.
"TRULY A MARVELOUS EXISTENCE YOU ARE! YOU DISGUSTING WASTE OF THE BLOOD QUEEN AND THE MAN FROM THE SHADOWS!" He howled as he sidestepped another impaling strike from Remilya, the feral and out of control dhampir looked at him as if he were a beef jerky.
But none of her instinctive attempts at intimidating a prey mattered when said prey was insane and calm at the same time.
His hand shot out and grabbed Remilya by the hair and pulled it down, his knee shot upwards to meet her stomach. The vampiric child shrieked in pain before a wave of high voltage magic in the form of lightning was sent towards her body.
Remilya howled as she slowly lost consciousness, smoke erupting from her roasted body caused by the extreme heat and voltage of lightning.
She dropped like a fly without its wings.
"Goodness, what an embarrassment for someone such as myself to be troubled by something meager like this." Belmo said, a hand held out as static electricity twitched from his hand before it all disappeared.
Belmo sighed, everything was finally over. He looked outside and saw that sunlight had finally begun to set, it was evening now.
He looked around, before screaming at the top of his voice.
"MEN! If any of you are still alive, come out!" He ordered loudly.
A few minutes later, no one came. That meant 97% of his forces he accumulated for the decades were all dead.
That Blood Queen was a fucking monster, tch. At least he still had two facilities. One of which housed his other pet project, the other facility was within Oshiana.
He looked back at Remilya and Elizabeth, he was going to need some help moving them in his injured state.
Thankfully he had some disposable goons back at Okeanos' main town, he'll just bring these two there and move to his main facility.
Suddenly he heard the sounds of something approaching at highspeeds. He narrowed his eyes and took out his remaining beads.
Someone landed down in the mansion, red mist and a maid uniform, a woman with light red hair looking absolutely haggard and exhausted arrived.
"The subordinate." He said, turning around to face her.
Mary looked around in Horror, seeing Remilya and Elizabeth bloodied, morley on her Ladyship was currently dead. "You're too late, woman, I've already dealt with them."
Her eyes landed on him, transitioning into fury. "Y-You.. How dare you!"
The reason why Mary took so long to get here was because she sent the nobles/survivors back to Oshiana via a ship she stole from Okeanos' port.
Why did she do that you ask? And how did she get here?
Upon arriving on the province, she was met with the locals screaming for their lives, no doubt afraid by her Ladyship's showcase of power.
She then saw multiple suspicious men arming themselves up that looked way too differently to the local police force.
Upon seeing her, they sort of randomly attacked her so she beat them up.
Got her answers and flew here, upon arrival she saw a group of injured nobles alongside the Omadolcnte, they explained the situation — which included the main town being too dangerous as Belmo had some goons there —- to her so she immediately went back to the port with her vampiric speed and stole a giant ship.
She then docked it in the nearest seashore and had the Omadolcnte drive it back to Oshiana after patching them up.
As for how she got here, she rowed FURIOUSLY and had to instinctively learn how to use Mist Form on the get go because her Lady had sent such a powerful attack it sent waves across the sea, breaking her dingy and forcing her to learn how to fly.
When she arrived here, she had not expected this scene.
Wasting no time, she immediately grabbed a random silver sword on the ground and lunged at the man.
Belmo saw this and took his last Tear, he Immediately grew stronger and overwhelmed Mary even with her Vampiric Strength active.
Their exchange continued for a few minutes with sparks of steels flying everywhere, eventually Belmo landed a severe blow on Mary. Causing the woman to howl in pain and gain distance.
She grimaced, knowing she couldn't beat this man, he was simply too fast. If they fought again she would lose even if she drank every blood within the proximity.
Her eyes landed on Remilya and Elizabeth, the latter obviously dead while the former was unconscious and broken.
She grit her teeth in anger, if Remilya died there was no coming back for her. Her Ladyship would be fine as long as that dagger was removed, though she doubted she'll be able to do that as the man would simply intercept her and use Remilya as a hostage.
Fucking hell, she didn't wanna do this but her next action she was supposed to take was obvious.
She'll simply get her back once she finds sir Shadow.
Mary exploded into action, flying towards Remilya. Belmo with the last of his stamina appeared before her and aimed to stab her in the heart.
Thankfully she was able to dodge it, but that didn't help with her being stabbed in the stomach.
She kicked him off with an agonizing amount of effort and grabbed Remilya, she also saw Rando was in a good condition but bloody for some reason, she immediately grimaced and decided to pick him up as well, two kids were lighter than carrying a whole grown woman.
The sword still lodged in her stomach. She could only grab one person while flying, she wanted to grab both her Lady And Remilya but with this man he would immediately catch up to her, but if it was only Remilya and Rando she'd manage.
After grabbing the little girl and the boy, she ascended up into the skies and flew towards Oshiana, she felt her vision slowly blackening because of her flying such a distance and with an injured body.
Belmo tried to follow after her but soon fell on his knees, the consequences of using his Diablos' tears hitting him in full force.
"GET BACK HERE WOMAN!" He screamed in anger, his voice echoing out through the skies.
She felt her vision fading away with each second, but she persisted, if only for Remilya and Rando, she didn't catch sight of the Omadolcnte's ship and frowned.
After an hour of flying, they finally arrived at the edge of Oshiana. Unfortunately her fumes ran out first as they started pummeling downwards as Mary lost consciousness, the extreme gale had caused Remilya to wake up, the little girl immediately subjected into fighting for her life upon just waking up.
"A-Auntie Mary!" She screamed, the woman was nonrespondent, completely unconscious due to running out of magic reserves.
Remilya grumbled something, adrenaline immediately kicking into action as she used whatever magic she regained from her short time of being asleep. She and her Auntie became covered within red cloudy mist as Remilya tried to slow down their fall.
A few moments later, they slowly but roughly landed on a rooftop, before slipping off and falling down to an alleyway. Remilya weakly got up and exhaustedly looked around, she saw that her auntie was knocked out, bleeding from a sword that was still lodged on her.
If she didn't remove it the woman would die, knowing so Remilya ran over and tried to pull it. It didn't budge but Mary did groan painfully, she tried again but this time gently, no such luck.
She kept on trying until she realized she needed to pull with all her remaining strength, she silently sent her Auntie a tired apology, bracing herself and pulling it with all her might. The sword finally dislodged and came off, Remilya dropped it seconds later.
She saw Rando a few meters away, his head wrecked open slowly regenerating because of the vampirism she gave him.
She fell down and leaned on the wall, her adrenaline disappearing as she completely lost strength. She stared at nothing with hollow eyes and started tearing up.
Her mind remembering and processing everything that had happened today.
From arriving at Rando's house.
Belmo's arrival.
Okeanos'
The Gala.
The people that looked at her as if she was a monster.
Her fight with Belmo.
The people she accidentally killed.
His speech about `Templates`
Mama's arrival.
Her reconciliation with her Mama.
Mama's fight and her power.
Siopilos' story.
Rando's death and her first human blood.
And last but not least.
Mama's death .
John Smith, or rather Cid Kagenou's head whipped to the side as he sensed that Little Vampire again… Or should he say, his daughter.
He frowned, he swore he sensed his daughter going ham on Elizabeth a few minutes ago.
But he was too occupied with getting his shit together to go there, too excited and nervous at the thought of having a daughter.
Child support was the least of his worries right now, he could feel Elizabeth's signature suddenly snuffed out like a light bulb.
Did something happen to her? He vaguely remembered Zeta talking about some Belmo guy and his plans to steal Elizabeth's money — And by extension, his money as well. Di
He looked up and saw evening coming, the night was falling. He disappeared and reappeared on top of a rooftop, donning his Shadow identity and flying towards his Daughter.
He COULD check up on Elizabeth if something happened to her, but eh. She's the Blood Queen, one of the very people he could hold a proper conversation with, she'll be fineeeee.
Though he couldn't help but feel really angry for some reason, but first.
He wanted to see his daughter first in personal–
–Oh speaking of the devil, that Vampire maid girl is flying towards this way with his daughter in tow… Who's magic seems to be really dried out, there's someone else too but he didn't know em.
Oh well, he might as well wait and think of a way to reveal himself to his daughter.
He flew back to Oshiana and went back to being John Smith and got into position.
Remilya's hand weakly went to her face, her eyes hollowed and empty. Tears started falling from her eyes soon after. She slumped on the wall and started crying silently.
Then, her crying slowly transitioned into wailing loudly.
"Why.. WHY! WHY DID I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS, WHY!" She screamed out loud, falling to her front and slamming the ground.
"Why.." She hollowedly asked no one, a few seconds later she stood up with empty and depressed eyes.
"I-I have to go… Auntie Mary will die if I let her bleed out and Rando's slowly becoming a vampire." Remilya said with an empty voice.
She carried Rando into her shoulder while she dragged Mary's dying form, walking without life in her movements. She was walking towards their house, despite how far it was.
"Oh? It seems that Belmo-sama was right to leave some of us wandering the streets." A man in a military suit said at the end of the alley, another man in a military suit with brown hair walked up.
"Is that them?"
"Who else would have bright red hair and red eyes, dumbass? Lord Belmo gave us pictures of them."
"Eh, true enough. Just go and deal with them or something."
The man who spoke first laughed. "With pleasure." he started walking towards her.
Remilya dropped both Rando and Mary, she widened her stance without energy and looked at them with exhausted and hollowed eyes.
"Why… Why do you all just keep coming.." She clenched her claws. "Why can't you all just leave us alone…."
She inhaled, preparing to fight with almost nothing.
"If this is reality… t-then I REJECT THIS REALITY!" She howled, raising up one arm while her other had completely lost stamina.
"Heh, what the hell are you talking abou— A-Ah.." The man suddenly paused in his tracks, his other companion looked at him with confusion.
"Oi, what are you waiting for—.." He also paused, he was sweating profusely.
Remilya looked at them with a confused face, her angry determination being replaced with confusion when both men were suddenly dragged by something into the night sky.
"They say.." A deep voice spoke up, upon hearing it Remilya somehow felt relieved despite not knowing it. "That it is in the strangest places where you have an encounter that will change your life forever."
Remilya looked up into the night sky and saw someone standing at the edge of a rooftop, his voice was loud enough for her to hear clearly.
The man's figure was being enhanced by the Moonlight shining down on him. He wore a pointed white mask and a fancy dark suit, strings moving around him as if they were sentient.
Remilya's eyes slowly widened, her eyes regaining their color and life for whatever reason she could not understand.
She smelled his scent, it was being masked by a bunch of perfumes. But underneath it was..
It was..
Two strange scents, both strangely familiar, made her have hope, she felt a connection to him.
The man held out a hand towards her.
"Do you not agree…? Little Vampire."
This smell…!
Mama's scent is on him!
"Why don't you introduce yourself to me?" The man spoke with a clear loud voice, it was music to her ears.
She opened her mouth to talk, but found herself having difficulty.
With one last push, she managed to open her mouth and say her name.
"R-Remilya.. Vlodquinn.."
CHAPTER END
No I do not condone child violence, however I do find making my OC's go through angst and suffering rewarding for character development. Trust me it's for the better.
Also, I rewrote Cid's scenes.

Remilya in this chapter : MY SPECIALZ starts playing*

THEY MET! THEY FINALLY MET EACH OTHER! SADLY THEY DON'T KNOW THEIR CONNECTION TO EACH OTHER YET!br /
And will you all be able to spot the references I've added?
Anyways, with how long this fucking thing is going on. I decided to dub it the `Damsel` Arc, why the name? Given the fact that Elizabeth is uhhh, let's just say occupied right now.
This arc is simply to give opening and give me a buncha opportunities for relationships to bloom. Sometimes, whenever I'd see some pairing fics. There's barely any reason for their romance or relationship to be that deep, making this fic like this is what ticked in my mind.
I'll simply leave it to your imaginations until this arc ends(Which is probably in two chapters with how long i'm writing these chapters)
-The nickname `Lelaynee` came from when Remilya had tried to pronounce Lelaine's name, which she obviously fumbled, after that it stuck because Remilya couldn't be bothered to change it.
-Just like her Father, Remilya had at one point tried to play vigilante and terrorize some `bad` guys in the alleyways, unfortunately for her, Elizabeth's mama instincts caught wind of it before the little girl could follow her father's footsteps (Minus the killing part, all she would have done was scare them)
-Despite her performance, Remilya is still weaker than Mary's vampire form, except when she had her outburst, putting her somewhere below the weakest Shade in terms of magic.
-I'll only tell this now, Remilya will never surpass Shadow, that would just make her the average "MC has a kid and they're very cool plot armor protected and stronger than the MC" kind of character, maybe she'll be close to his level when she grows up but never surpass him.
-Natsu is the brown/pastel colored cat girl from the John Smith arc occasionally seen accompanying or greeting John Smith, she was hinted back at chapter 5 during the train scene. Our idiot eminence simply let her eavesdrop in case she wanted to join the `plot`. Despite herself, the girl didn't realize John Smith recognized or found her out.
-Fun fact, while i was writing about the whole `Template of the soul` thing, i realized that it was way too goddamn close to MGR Monsoon's `Memes`, I paused writing this shit and pondered about it, like.. Holy shit, I didn't even realize I was channeling the guy to Belmo.
-I fixed chapter 4 to properly fit what Shadow had done to mordred in the anime (Eviscerating the man and illuminating the whole solar fucking system.)
-How does Remilya have Possession when the descendants of the heroes can only have them? One word, Kagenou bloodline. Technically anyone suffering from Possession is a descendant of the heroes, and Claire definitely experienced it. In the sanctuary it was shown that Cid was not able to pull out the Excalibur looking sword which he should be able to, that's because he was not and was actually pushing it down, the blud is related to his sister who had possession.
-Not only that it was also stated that Vampirism and Possession might have come from the same origin, just different and diverged. What's happening to Remilya here is having both things at the same time and continuously unlocking more of her magic reserves through either by fighting or drinking blood. A perfect combination of some sorts, it's pretty much a head canon of might, I'm just trying to make it as close as possible to the show's canonical lore.
-Also, Remilya is Elizabeth and Shadow's daughter, it's a given that she'll have a monstrous amount of magic, she just doesn't know how to use all of it. Once she does she'll probably be a very capable combatant as she grows up, probably not on the same level as Elizabeth or Alpha Aurora, maybe a level weaker than the current LN Alpha, but eh, who knows.
-"Why didn't Elizabeth use the funny Possession thingy on Belmo?" – Belmo is on the same level with the likes of Fenrir, only being superior in terms of speed. A simple possession shouldn't work on him because they're literally drowning themselves in Diablos' power, besides he's a male and males barely showed shit on Possession, not only that he's not a descendant of the heroes.
THANK YOU FOR READING!br /
Alright let's get down to business about this fumble I made this time around (Again I'm sorry lol)
-Let's get a few things out of the way, why the focus on the OC's and excessive angst on this chapter?
Other than the fact that they'll likely be pushed away and be rarely used beyond this arc now that they've gotten their screen time, I thought about setting up a few characters that'll allow little Remilya to have an interaction in the future chapters if she'll ever have her own centric chapter (I'm saying it now, it was only this part that the OC's are prominent because next to this will and WILL be dedicated to Cid, Elizabeth and Remilya)br /
I just simply thought "Oh hey, get them their chapters before you completely forget that they even existed in the first place because the rest of the fic will be about Elizabeth and Cid, you've literally pushed Remilya and Cid's meeting for way too damn long."
When i released this chapter, I was thinking `oh crap can the fic survive this if i release it? I mean i still haven't gotten to my favorite scenes IVE HAD PLANNED IN MY HEAD FOR MONTHS` and these comments did show that the fic is having a lil tweeny bit of fallout(I really appreciate for the comments either way, I need them as a writer.)
As for the excessive angst, I guess I was emulating a little bit and put too much suffering on Lil' Remilya. I'm already hating myself for that lol, but the whole point of the angst in my head was to have it act as some kind of bridge between Cid and Remilya, with the girl being absolutely traumatized she'll be looking for someone to cling on considering how young she is. Rando WILL still be present - Obviously on the next chapter - but his presence will be as rare too and would usually be around Remilya.
-About Cid's segment, it was actually supposed to have a better reasoning and longer. And then I forgot about it because I was preparing for my /
I hope that after rewriting a few parts of this chapter ya'll are goods with it.
-Rando is based on Jaune Arc and Gerald Stuart, him being way too mature as a child is something caused by being tutored and being a loner until he met Remil. The other reason being is, as someone who's literally had to watch over my friends who are the SAME age and excitable as hell whenever we went out or did something, I had the pleasure of having to level up from being childish to Mature real fast. Having someone overly childish as a friend or relative you deeply care about will straight up make you matured.
-About Belmo, I see that most of you don't really much have a problem with the guy. I know i've talked about OC's but this guy is going to be around until the end of this arc. He's the main villain after all.
-Remilya's outburst, yeah no I've got no shame about that I'm taking all the hate for using the whole "Anime Girl Vampire Blood Frenzy" I WILL TAKE YOUR HATE AND NEGATIVE OPINIONS ABOUT THIS PART RAAAA!
Oh and. ThatRabidPotato, Kazama_Yokaze and a few /
Thank you for pointing out my mistakes, I'm really passionate about writing my stories because they serve as a way for me to distract myself away from Uh... *Looks at real life situation's waving back at my highschooler ass*... That guy.
But please do note that I can't focus everytime on updating my chapters and polishing them when I have to deal with School performing Wrestling moves on me, ESPECIALLY this february as theres SO MUCH STRESS REEE! I have a freaking dance performance coming this next week AND another test that'll be causing me stress once more at Feb 3(Because of this, production WILL become slow as hell sorry)
Since this fic is supposed to be about Elizabeth and Cid, and i've uhh digressed too far from that preparing for this arc(Though after this arc it's all about the main cast), And as of writing this chapter I've been rewriting parts of the story while keeping the.. Ahem, parts im really REALLY excited to write about and show you guys.
I'm pretty sure I missed a few other things in the comments I should talk about but i'll just tackle that at the omake i'm releasing soon(As an apology, also it's about Elizabeth and Cid dont worry)
Anways, the update schedule is :br /
-Elizabeth and Cid's date Omakebr /
-The Shadows hiding within the Red Flower Chapter 2br /
-Murder Drones : Through Darkness we reunite (Bro, this fandom has been dry from my content)br /
-Bloody Princess from the Shadows Chapter 8
I won't blame some of ya'll if you stopped reading this fic because of this chapter, but please try the next few ones as I try to fix and do things better (Also hopefully my grammar got better in you Reader's opinions, been REALLY grinding on those English subjects)
As always, THANK YOU ALL FOR READING! Constructive Criticism is always welcome since i eat them up.
