The Tardis shakes and lands, Thea manages to keep herself up right she gives the doctor a look "so is your driving just as bad as your parking then?" She says with a teasing smile, he rolls his eyes at her, while Rose giggles and says amused "you get used to it"

"Ganging up on me already" the doctor mutters as he moves over to railing he tossed his jacket over, he grabs it and get its on. Thea shakes her head with a smile "you said you were taking us further than you've been before" She asks him curiously before continuing "so where are we?"

The doctor gives her a sly smile and gestures to the Tardis door "Go on have a look!" Thea nods as she's take off to the door and opens it and steps out of it. Her eyes go wide, at what she is seeing she's old and seen a lot of changes but she ain't ever seen anything like this.

She looks above her head and sees flying car zoom ahead, and a large city ahead with spiral towers, and certainly a strong smell of apples, The doctor and Rose step out after her, he smiles at their awed faces as he explains excitedly "It's the year five billion and twenty three. We're in the galaxy M87, and this? This is New Earth."

"That's just. That's just" Rose starts as she continues to look around awed. "Not bad. Not bad at all." The doctor finishes for her. The doctor glances at Thea and she turns to him "wait new Earth? What happened to old earth?" The doctor looks slight surprised at the question and goes to answer her when Rose speaks again "That's amazing. I'll never get used to this. Never." She grips on to both the doctors and Thea's arms "Different ground beneath my feet, different sky. What's that smell?"

"Smells like apples" Thea notes, as the doctor bends down and picks some of the grass and sniffs it "Apple grass." The doctor states as he shows them the blades of grass. "apple grass" Rose repeats laughing a little as Thea smiles "Huh apple grass now that's a new one" The nods as he dusts the grass of his hands "Yeah certainly is"

"It's beautiful." Rose sighs as she looks back out at the city, Thea smiles softly "yeah it really is" she murmured looking at the water as the breeze blows through her hair. "Oh, I love this. Can I just say, travelling with you, I love it. and now with you too Thea, just love it" The doctor laughs and suddenly grabs both Thea's and Roses hands and pulls them with him "Me too. Come on."

He stops at a hillside and takes his jacket off and lays it down on the grass and gestures to the girls to sit down, Rose lays down on one side and the doctor chooses to lie between them "So, the year five billion, the sun expands, the Earth gets roasted." The doctor began to explain."That was our first date." Rose reminisced, The doctor gives her a look "We had chips... wait date?" Rose rolls her eyes at his reply as Thea chuckles "well aren't you a right Casanova? Spoiling a girl with the Earth getting roasted" she says teasingly.

He pinches her on the arm for her tease and she gives him a glare but he ignores it and continues with his spiel "So anyway, planet gone, all rocks and dust, but the human race lives on, spread out across the stars. Soon as the Earth burns up, oh yeah" he chuckles enthusiastically "they get all nostalgic, big revival movement, but then find this place." He sits up before he continues "Same size as the Earth, same air, same orbit. Lovely. Call goes out, the humans move in."

"So what's the place called then?" Thea asks gesturing to the city across from them, Rose nods wanting to know that as well and the doctor gives them a grin "New New York." Thea gives him a blank look "seriously? How original, Humans really are creatures of habit" Rose gives him a sceptical look wondering if he is having them "Oh, come on. Really?"

"It is." The doctor insisted "It's the city of New New York. Strictly speaking, it's the fifteenth New York since the original, so that makes it New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York." Thea gives him a grin "technically you just said fourteen news not fifteen" He makes a face at her and she shrugs "just saying" he rolls his eyes and pokes her on the arm "oh just saying we're you" she pokes him right back "yes I was and don't do that" He notices Rose staring at him and he stops the back and forth and he frowns a little and eyes her with a little concern "what?"

Rose shakes her head "nothin" she mumbled back, The doctor arches an eyebrow at her a little in disbelief. "You're just...so different." She murmurs eventually.

"Well yeah" The doctor grins at her. "New New Doctor." Thea makes a confused look, and he notices it "oh my species has a neat thing they do, they change completely, new face, new everything" he glances back at Rose, "but still me deep down"

Thea shrugs, not the craziest thing she's heard "what was your old face like?" Thea asks him curiously. The doctor turns his attention to Thea, surprised slightly how well she took that then again he remembers she can shift into a wolf so maybe not that surprising. "Oh old face had huge ears! He runs a hand a down his face "Got it much better this time" Thea and Rose looks at each other and both roll their eyes at the TimeLords vainness.

Whilst they are sitting, they don't notice a metal like spider scurrying though the grass coming closer and closer to them, it's red eye focused on the three of them.

Rose jumps up on to her feet, "Can we go and visit New New York, so good they named it twice?" She jested to them both, The doctor stands up after her and holds his hand out for Thea to take to help her up, an action that comes so easy to him, once they are all standing, he dusts down his Jacket and slips it on "Well, I thought we might go there first." Thea glances over at an elegant pair of curved skyscrapers standing apart from the city on the side of the river they are on.

"Why, what is it?" Rose asks him curiously.

"Some sort of hospital." The doctor explained to them before he continued. "Green moon on the side. That's the universal symbol for hospitals. I got this. A message on the psychic paper." He flashes them the page and on it says 'Ward 26 Please Come' "Someone wants to see me." He finishes, Thea takes the psychic paper out his hand to look over it, "so when you say someone sent you a message you mean.. telepathically?" His eyes lighten up at her working that out "Yip.. very good" he praises her taking it back off her and putting it back in his pocket.

"Hmm" Rose hums thoughtfully before teasingly saying with a raised eyebrow. "And I thought we were just sight-seeing." Thea nods in agreement "Yes you sure do know how to spoil us girls take one to earths end and then one to a hospital, you sure go all out" she adds in, The doctor groans at them ganging up on them "We are! We just need to get this out the way! And then we can sight see until ours hearts content" Rose shakes her head with a grin and links her arm with both of theirs "Come on, then. Let's go and buy some grapes."

As they walk towards the hospital they still don't see the small metal spider trailing after them.

As they get towards the hospital and step in through the doors Thea can't but notice how anxious the doctor seems to get "you alright? Not a fan of hospitals?" The doctor shakes his head and mutters a "not really"

Rose snorts a little "Bit rich coming from you." The doctor sighs "I can't help it. I don't like hospitals. They give me the creeps." Thea shakes her head disagreeing "I find them fascinating, seeing how medicine advances over time" The doctor shrugs at her answer, he can't argue with that.

"Very smart. Not exactly NHS." Rose points out as she looks around the place. The doctor frowns "No shop. I like the little shop." Thea gives him an amused look "we can rate it badly on trip advisor later" The doctor nods taking Thea's words seriously, the sarcasm going over his head slightly.

Rose laughs and shakes her head at their antics "I thought this far in the future, they'd have cured everything." She muses to them as she glances at the doctor waiting for an answer.

"The human race moves on, but so do the viruses. It's an ongoing war." The doctor explains to her which Thea nods and adds in "He's right, I mean I worked as a nurse once in 1919 in the height of the influenza epidemic and now look what that's become.." she stops talking noticing their looks "what?"

The doctor decides he needs to ask now rather than later, "what age are you Thea?" Rose also glances at Thea curious wanting to know as well "well I born on 5th June 1973, so excluding where we are right now and going by the time you met me in the art gallery; that would make me oh 544 years old now" The doctor smirks slightly at her answer, while Rose gives a surprised look before smiling "You look good for your age Thea" she says in light humour, Thea grins back "why thank you"

Rose finally takes a good look at the nursing staffs faces, in their nun-like wimples and habits "They're...cats." She murmurs eyes going wide as she stares some more. Thea glances up "oh so they are... hmm I thought I could smell cat"

The doctor chooses to ignore Thea's comment and chides Rose "Now, don't stare. Think what you look like to them, all pink and yellow." He gets distracted and gestures over to a corner "That's where I'd put the shop. Right there."

Rose pauses to look at the place he gestured to while Thea steps in to a lift, assuming that's where the doctor was heading to "add it into the review later" she quips at him as he follows her into the lift, "oh I will" he quips back "Ward 26, thanks!"

"Hold on! Hold on!" Rose shouts out as she runs towards the lift they are in it shuts completely as she gets to the doors "Oh, too late...we're going up." The doctor says with a frown, as the lift starts to move, Thea gets a weird feeling "maybe we should go back down and get her?" Rose shakes her head and calls back "It's all right, there's another lift." She runs towards the other lift and gets into it pressing the button.

"Ward 26." He calls to remind her. "And watch out for the disinfectant." He glances down at Thea with a smirk as she gives him a confused look the what now?

Rose frowns as she strains to hear what he is saying "Watch out for what?"

"The disinfectant!" He shouts back. When a moment later Rose shouts back to them "The what?" Thea finds herself wanting to bang her head against the wall at this pointless display.

"The disin..." The doctor trails off and mumbles instead Oh, you'll find out." Thea looks up at him "so what's the disinfectant then?"

He gives her a gleeful look, not wanting to tell her yet, he wants to see her reaction "oh you'll find out Thea"

She gives him a glare "find out what?" but he doesn't let up at all "oh you'll see" when an automatic voice calls out "Commence stage one disinfection." She glances around to see where the voice is coming from when she's suddenly drenched by what feels

Like a cold jet spray "what the?" Thea shrieks, The doctor giggles at her reaction and works the spray through his hair enjoying it as Thea tried to push her hair out her face, the spray finally stops and she sighs with a relief when the automatic voice speaks again "commence stage 2 disinfection" Thea glances up at him "there's more?" He giggles more when white powder shoots out at them more making Thea choke a little, the doctor watches her amused when finally hot air blows out, from below them and she can't help but laugh as the doctor hold his arms out enjoying it.

As they step out she rummages around her pocket and pulls out a bobble and ties her hair up into a bun, she does not have the hair for a disinfected shower.

"Shouldn't we go look for Blondie first?" Thea asks him as she follows him from the lift, he shrugs "nah she will catch up eventually" Thea gives him a look "Really? I mean we are in a strange place and your answer is she will catch up?" The doctor sighs and turns back to her "Thea, she will be fine, she knows we are in ward 26 she can hardly miss it when she comes out the lift" he turns to continue walking through into Ward 26, she shakes her head annoyed and little worried for the blonde for some reason, they are soon met by a veiled nurse "Nice place." The doctor compliments happily looking around "No shop, downstairs. I'd have a shop. Not a big one. Just a shop, so people can shop." Thea rolls her eyes him and this Damn shop

The nurse removes her veil and gives the doctor a really unimpressed look "The hospital is a place of healing." She informs them sternly certainly not for entertaining the thought of a shop in a hospital.

"A shop does some people the world of good." The doctor commented before he adds on "Not me...Other people." Thea sighs before mumbling "could of fooled me"

The nurse gives her a look and turns to walk forward "The Sisters of Plentitude take a lifelong vow to help, and to mend." They pass by an open cubicle and see an obese man who skin has turned grey colour, when a stern primly dressed home standing next to his bed harshly walks towards them when she sees them staring "Excuse me!" She exclaims moving a little to close to Thea for liking "Members of the public may only gaze upon the Duke of Manhattan with written permission from the Senate of New New York." Thea gives the woman a scorching dark glare back and the woman has a good sense to take a step back from her.

The doctor notices it and decides to quickly step in before Thea does something extreme "That's Petrifold Regression, right?" He gently places his hand on Thea's back as he asks the man lying on the bed. "I'm dying, sir." He says sorrowfully, Thea takes her eyes off the woman and looks at him lying on the bed pitifully. "A lifetime of charity and abstinence, and it ends like this."

"A-ny...Any statements made by the Duke of Manhattan may not be made public without official clearance." The woman jumps in finally getting her nerve back watching Thea like a hawk.

"Frau Clovis!" The duke wheezes out reaching out to grip her hand "I'm so weak." The woman now they know as Clovis turns to the the veiled nurse "Sister Jatt. A little privacy, please."

Sister Jatt leads them away "He'll be up and about in no time." She tells them gently, Thea raises an eyebrow at that "really? Didn't look like it" Sister Jatt looks at Thea "have faith in the sisterhood" Thea screws her face up what kind of place is this?

The doctor scoffs "I doubt it. Petrifold Regression? He's turning to stone." He explains to them before his look turns pensive "There won't be a cure for oh, a thousand years? He might be up and about, but only as a statue."Sister Jatt shakes her head "Have faith in the Sisterhood." She repeats one more time before turning to the doctor and asking "But is there no one here you recognise? It's rather unusual to visit without knowing the patient."

Thea notices him staring away intently she goes to ask him but he pipes up "No, I think I've found him." and pulls Thea with him towards a large face in a container by the circular windows with an amazing view of the city.

The face groans, their eyes closed in what appears to be a restless sleep. Thea blinks a few times, she's seen a lot in her time but never that. "Novice Hame, if I can leave this gentleman and lady in your care?" Sister Jatt asked the nurse that was adjusting the equipment next the tank.

Thea stops Sister Jatt "oh we've seen to of lost our friend Blondie, goes by the Name Rose Tyler, Could you ask at reception?" Thea asks her politely ignoring the look the doctor was giving her, Sister Jatt bows her head "Certainly, ma'am" she turns and leaves the room.

"One of us had to ask and you seem to get easily distracted" Thea tells him and he nods not disagreeing "I tell my companions all the time not to wander off and they always do.. so not my fault" he mutters back. Thea goes to remark back at him when Novice Hame interrupts, they both seem to of forgotten of the others that are in the room they both turn to face her as she tells them "I'm afraid the Face of Boe's asleep. That's all he tends to do these days. Are you a friend, or.."

"We met just the once on Platform One." The doctor admits before glancing at her "What's wrong with him?" Novice Hames gaze turns sad "I'm so sorry. I thought you knew. The Face of Boe is dying." The doctor reaches out and touches the tank "Of what?"

"Old age." Novice Hames sighs sadly "The one thing we can't cure. He's thousands of years old. Some people say millions, although that's impossible." Huh if only she knew how un impossible that really was

"Oh, I don't know." The doctor murmured, his smile tinged with a slight sadness to it "I like impossible. I'm here. I look a bit different, but it's me, It's the Doctor." The face only responds with a painful groan "oh and this is Thea" The doctor gestures for her to comes closer, Thea does step closer "uh.. hi?" The doctor gives her an unimpressed look "that's really going to be how you introduce yourself really?" Thea turns to him and says through gritted teeth "oh I'm sorry that I don't how I'm supposed to introduce myself to... a face in a tank!" The doctor leans closer to her "Maybe something a little more than uh..hi" He mocks her a little and she scoffs back at him when suddenly they hears a throat clearing behind them and they turn to look at Novice hame and they both mumble a "sorry."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Hope, harmony and health." A voice repeats above over on the intercom "Hope, harmony and health." Thea stares out of the window next to the tank when the doctor enters back into the room holding cups of water , he passes one to Novice Hame "That's very kind. There's no need." She answers gratefully, The doctor shrugs "You're the one working." Before he passes one to Thea, she looks down at the cup thinking she wishes it was something else, blood or alcohol, not sure what one more.

"There's not much to do," Novice Hame admits. "just maintain his smoke. And I suppose I'm company." She murmurs to them thoughtfully. "I can hear him singing, sometimes, in my mind...Such ancient songs."

"Are we the only visitors?" The suddenly asks. Novice Hame nods "The rest of Boe-kind became extinct long ago. He's the only one left. Legend says that the Face of Boe has watched the universe grow old. There's all sorts of superstitions around him." The doctors lips quirk into a smile.

"Superstitions? What kind of Superstitions" Thea decides to ask, "they are just legends really" Novice Hame explains "There is One story that says that just before his death, the Face of Boe will impart his great secret, that he will speak those words to those who are like himself."

That speaks too Thea's curiosity and the doctor frowns slightly and turns to eye Hame quizzically "What does that mean?" Noice hame quickly turns away a little embarrassed "It's just a story." Thea shrugs "nonetheless you should tell it" The doctor agrees with Thea "yeah tell us the rest" he encourages Novice Hame with a smile.

Novice Hame stares at the both before she relented and she sighs "It's said he'll talk to a a pair of wanderers. To the man without a home and a woman who's never had one. The lonely God and his Luna"

The doctor finds his gaze automatically trailing to Thea, wondering what she also makes of that little story, considering she seems to be frowning slightly, he quickly looks around the room noticing Rose still hasn't joined them.

"Thea"

"Hmm?" Thea hums coming out her thoughts as she looks at him, "do you have a phone?" The doctor asks hopefully. "Yeah course" she nods as she pulls it out her pocket and passes it to him, "doubt it will work this far into the future right?" He gives her a smirk "oh I will soon sort that" He starts to fiddle with it, she watches him with a little curiosity before he passes it back to her "there you go... universal roaming" Thea nods "handy" she muses.

She scrolls down the phone address book, until she gets to Roses number, just as well Rose was adamant that they take each other's numbers just incase of anything happens. She passes him back the phone as it rings and he puts it up to his ear "Rose, where are you?" Thea hones in with her Vamp hearing to listen to other end of the conversation when she furrows her eyebrows at the accent rose has taken on "Er, wotcha." Cass-Rose replies back. The doctor frowns before asking "Where've you been?, How long does it take to get to Ward 26?" Thea continues to listen in and frowns when she hears Rose again "I'm on my way, governor." Something is wrong. "I shall proceed up the apples and pears" Cass-Rose finishes off. Thea sighs yip something is wrong with Blondie, but she's surprised the doctor doesn't pick up on it especially when he moves on excitedly "You'll never guess. I'm with the Face of Boe.Remember him?"

Thea doesn't hear the reply her attention starts to be drawn to the commotion over at the Dukes bed, she starts to head over to see what's going on, she notices the Duke looks very happy for a dying man.

She doesn't realise the doctor has joined her until The Duke exclaims "Didn't think I was going to make it. It's that man and woman again! They're my good luck e in. Don't be shy." He chortles at them, as they both step closer but Thea observes the doctors smile dropping as he examines the dukes now healthy complexion. Something must be afoot she decides just by the look on his face that this isn't supposed to happen.

"Any friendship expressed by the Duke of Manhattan does not constitute a form of legal contract." Clovis informs them clutching a glass of champagne, despite the happy occasion she watches them like a hawk, Thea rolls her eyes at that. The duke butts in " Winch me up. Up! Look at me. No sign of infection."

A waiter approaches them both "Champagne, sir, miss?" Thea shakes her head as the doctor replies "No, thanks." The doctor barely glances at him "You had Petrifold Regression, right?"

"HAD being the operative word." He declares cheerfully. "Past tense. Completely cured."

"But.." The doctor shakes his head confused. "But that's impossible."

"Primitive species would accuse us of magic" an older nurse muses to them "oh I doubt that" Thea interjects, the older nurse giving her a lethal look "but it's merely the tender application of science."

The doctor turns to face her, how did they do that... they couldn't have.. "How on Earth did you cure him?" He asks burning with curiosity no not possible.

"How on New Earth, you might say." The older nurse answers very evasively hoping that no further questions would be asked. The doctor not one to give up continues to press "What's in that solution?" The older nurse tilts her head at him "A simple remedy." Thea glances down and hears her heart skip a beat, she's lying.

"Then tell me what it is." The doctor insists.

"I'm sorry. Patient confidentiality." The nurse states succinctly. "I don't believe we've met. My name is Matron Casp."

"I'm the Doctor." The doctor simply replies plastering on a false smile, "Hm I think you'll find that we're the doctors here." She answers him condescending before looking at Thea. "And you are?" She eyes her carefully. "Thea Lyon" the Matron shudders slightly, she's now aware just who they both are.

At that moment Nurse Jatt interrupts "Matron Casp, you're needed in Intensive Care." The matron nods "If you would excuse me." She walks away from them with Nurse Jatt.

The doctor and Thea watch after them "I don't like this place and I certainly don't like her" Thea states firmly gesturing towards The matron, The doctor glances down at the cold look on Thea's face and doesn't disagree with her statement. He whips out his glasses and starts to examine all the IV bags in the room, he wandered around as Thea follows after him when she looks over at the door and sees Rose, she gives her a smile and heads over to her "There you are Blondie was beginning to get worried about you for a moment" Rose gives her the oddest look, like they had never met, before a smile appears on Roses face "oh you ... me... merely districted by stuff" Thea nods definitely something wrong with Blondie.

The doctor bounds over and drags them both over to a hospital bed "Come and look at this patient. Marconi's Disease. Should take years to recover." The doctor explained taking his glasses of "Two days. I've never seen anything like it. They've invented a cell washing cascade. It's amazing. Their medical science is way advanced. And this one." He gestures over to a man as white as his bed gown. "Pallidome Pancrosis. Kills you in ten minutes, and he's fine."

"So how are they doing it then? They must be doing something that obviously isn't ethical considering how hush hush they kitty cats have been?"

The doctor leads them out of the ward and leans into them Conspiratorially "Well first I need to find a terminal. I've got to see how they do this. Because if they've got the best medicine in the world, then as you said Thea why is it such a secret?" He adds darkly.

"I can't Adam and Eve it." Cass-Rose pipes up and both the doctor and Thea give her an odd look "What's, what's. what's with the voice?" Cass-Rose flicks her hair "Oh, I don't know. Just larking about." Her gaze trails down the doctors body and she adds in a flirty voice "New Earth, new me." The doctor straightens his tie "Well, I can talk. New New Doctor."

Cass-Rose steps forward and runs her hand up the doctor tie "Mmm, aren't you just." She purrs at him, when she suddenly reaches out and grabs the doctor and kisses him hard on the lips, Thea's mouth drops open, she was not expecting that for some reason deep down it makes her feel uncomfortable. The doctor flails about and quickly pulls Rose away from him "what..are you doing..?"

Instead of answering that Cass-Rose flicks her hair again and walks away calling back at them "Terminal's this way. Phew." The doctor glances back at Thea "I don't know what that was about" Thea nods "yes obviously something is wrong with Blondie that or she has terrible taste" Thea quips as she walks after Rose, The doctor pouts and deep down he doesn't like that comment coming from her.

Out in the waiting room of the Ward 26, The doctor joins Thea and Rose standing in front of the computer Terminal, Thea watches him scanning through the files on it "Nope, nothing odd. Surgery, post-op, nano-dentistry. No sign of a shop. They should have a shop." Thea rolls her eyes and tells him through gritted teeth "shop later, more important things right now!" He frowns at her tone.

No, it's missing something else." Cass-Rose interrupts them "When I was downstairs, those Nurse Cat Nuns were talking about Intensive Care. Where is it?" She asks still in that weird posh accent Thea notes.

"You're right. Well done." Confirms as he glances at her before looking back at the screen "Why would they hide a whole department?" Cass-Rose mutters.

"Well you only hide something when you don't want anyone to know it or well find it." Thea murmurs thoughtfully. "It's got to be there somewhere." Cass-Rose mutters "Search the sub-frame."

The doctor blinks there was definitely something wrong with his friend "What if the sub-frame's locked?" Cass-Rose rolls her eyes and sighs "Try the installation protocol." Thea frowns she doubts Blondie would know that.

"Yeah. Of course. Sorry. Hold on." The doctor mutters as he takes out the the sonic screwdriver and uses it on the interface, and the whole wall slides down to reveal a corridor.

The doctor and Thea share a look when Rose pushes past them and enters the corridor first, Thea follows after her "Intensive Care. Certainly looks intensive." The doctor remarks as he follows behind the two girls.

They don't notice Novice Hame watching and following behind them, not wanting any of the three come to any harm.

Rose leads the way down a good old-fashioned staircase. The whole place is lined with cells, with green luminous bulkhead doors, rows upon rows by the looks of it, they stop at one of the cells and the doctor uses his sonic screwdriver to open it, inside it contains a very sick looking man covered in red boils and clearly in a lot of pain "That's disgusting. What's wrong with him?" Cass-Rose says with look of disgust, Thea whips round to look at Rose after her comment, "I'm sorry." The doctor says apologetically anger simmering below the surface. "I'm so sorry." He closes the door and moves onto the next and opens it and it it contains a young woman who looks just as ill as the first man.

"She's the same" Thea says with a touch of sadness with a hint of anger "this is wrong" The doctor glances at Thea when Cass-Rose interjects demanding "What disease is that?"

"All of them." The doctor tells them solemnly. "Every single disease in the galaxy. They've been infected with everything." Thea shakes her head "I've done some wrong in my lifetime but this is horrible"

"What about us? Are we safe?" Cass-Rose demands worriedly, backing away from the pod. "The air's sterile. Just don't touch them." The doctor replies coldly as he shuts the door.

"How many patients are there?" Cass-Rose wonders aloud.

"They're not patients." The doctor replies his voice simmering with loaded anger. Cass-Rose gives him a confused look "But they're sick." She points out.

"They were born sick." He states angrily. "They're meant to be sick. They exist to be sick. Lab rats. No wonder the Sisters have got a cure for everything. They've built the ultimate research laboratory. A human farm."

"Why don't they just die?" Cass-Rose asks insensitively.

"Plague carriers. The last to go." The doctor explains and Thea scoffs "doesn't matter what they... they don't deserve this" his hardened stare softens a little and he grabs Thea's hand and gives it a squeeze to let her know he gets it.

They turn when a voice pipes up behind them "It's for the greater cause."

"Novice Hame" the doctors eyes narrow at her "When you took your vows, did you agree to this?"

"The Sisterhood has sworn to help." She tries to tell them keeping calm under both the doctors and Thea's cold hard stare. "What, by killing?" The doctor snaps, his calm facade finally cracking.

But they're not real people." Novice Hame gently responds back, Thea scoffs and steps forward "Not real? They sure seem to be feeling what's happening to them!"

"They're specially grown." Novice Hame continues to try and explain in a gentle tone hoping that it soothes which instead rubs Thea up the wrong way "They have no proper existence."

Thea takes another step forward "yeah of course they don't have a proper existence stuff away in the dark" The doctor watches as Thea is getting closer and closer to Novice Hame and he decides he needs interfere.

"What's the turnover, hmm" the doctor demanded to know, his eyes flare with disgust "Thousand a day?" He postulated angrily "Thousand the next? Thousand the next? How many thousands? For how many years? How many!"

"Mankind needed us.They came to this planet with so many illnesses. We couldn't cope. We did try. We tried everything. We tried using clone-meat and bio-cattle, but the results were too slow, so the Sisterhood grew its own flesh. That's all they are. Flesh." She explained basically begging them both to understand.

"These people are alive." The doctor states firmly.

"But think of those Humans out there, healthy and happy, because of us." Novice urged trying to get them on her side. The doctor scoffs "If they live because of this, then life is worthless." Novice Hame stares at him with wide eyes "But who are you to decide that?" She asks rhetorically.

"I'm the Doctor." He stated rather calmly. "And if you don't like it, if you want to take it to a higher authority, then there isn't one. It stops with me." Cass-Rose leans forward "Just to confirm. None of the humans in the city actually know about this?"

"We thought it best not..." Novice Hame began, but Thea quickly interrupted "enough let's retract the claws, we get the bodies and all the whole vows but what I want to know is what have you and this place done to Blondie?" gesturing over at Rose, Novice Hame gives her a confused look "I-I don't know what you mean" she stuttered out, Thea gives a dangerously dark look "I'm being very calm right now and so is the doctor but I also have quite the temper, so I suggest you start talking."

Novice Hame steps back further in fear, The doctor keeps a grab of Thea's hand he's slightly worried what would happen if he let go. Novice Hame shakes her head "We haven't done anything.

Cass-Rose sighs "I'm perfectly fine." She tries to wave off their assumptions. The doctor shakes his head and icily replies "These people are dying, and Rose would care."

"Oh, all right, pair of clever clogs." The false smile falls from Cass-Rose face, she turns to the doctor "Smarty pants." Pulling at his tie playfully "Lady-killer."

The doctor pulls his tie out her hands "stop it" he eyes his friend worriedly "What's happened to you"

"I knew something was going on in this hospital, but I needed this body and your mind" she gestures over at the doctor "to find it out."

Thea sighs "so who the hell are you then?" Cass-Rose leans closer to Thea and touches her cheek and giggles when the doctor pulls cass-Rose hand away from Thea's face though he's a little confused why deep down that unsettled him. "He knows who"

"Answer the question. Who.are.you?" The doctor says through gritted teeth. Cass-Rose smirks "The last human"

The what? Thea wonders confused. When she notices the doctors eye show recognition "Cassandra?"

Cassandra reaches down and takes something out her cleavage "Wake up and smell the perfume." She taunts before she squirts the vial at him and he passes out, Thea watches as he falls in front of her and she goes step forward to the body snatcher but Cass-Rose sprays it a few times in her face and the stuff must be powerful as she struggles to fight against it and the next thing she knows everything goes dark and she falls down next to the doctor.

Novice Hame rushes forward and leans down to check on them "You've hurt them. I don't understand. I'll have to fetch Matron." She shakes her head and looks up at the blonde before she gets up to rush to get the Matron.

"You do that, because I want to see her." Cass-Rose smirks happy she finally got one over on that pesky doctor who ruined her thousands of years ago. "Now, run along. Sound the alarm!" She pulls on a power cable and sets off the alarms , before glancing down at the unconscious forms of the doctor and his newest associate, as she ponders just how she should deal with them.
