A/N Welcome back everyone. I'm sorry for the wait. The months of April and May is a very busy time for me. Anyways here is the new chapter enjoy!
Lincoln Loud, Girl Guru/Come Sale Away
One morning before school. Will was over at the Louds making some baked goods with Lincoln and Clyde. Clyde was flattening dough with a rolling pin, and Lincoln was mixing batter in a bowl with a wooden spoon. Will was prepping dough into pie tins.
I'm helping Lincoln and Clyde with a school project. It's about starting a successful business, the product is chocolate pie.
"Will, can you get the chocolate?" Clyde called. The oven's done preheating.
"It's in the cabinet above the sink." Lincoln added. Will opened it and saw nothing but cereal. Will rolled his eyes, he clearly opened the wrong one. He noticed one of the boxes was the new Zombie Bran cereal that was advertised on TV.
"Hey Lincoln." Will called. "I see you got the zombie cereal."
"Oh yeah." Lincoln chuckled, feeling embarrassed. "It wasn't easy."
Will laughed. "Oh trust me I heard about the whole thing from Bobby."
According to Bobby, he was working at a supermarket that the Louds frequently used for grocery shopping. As you can imagine, chaos ensued with things like Lynn jousting with shopping carts, against no one in particular. Luan juggling with eggs, Lisa laying inside the frozen pea display in an odd attempt to cryogenically freeze herself. Leni tied balloons to lobsters in the tank to free them, without having any idea where the ocean is. You know I don't think she's a vegetarian, I do fear that she has no real idea where her food comes from. She later tried to free the rotisserie chickens by just hoping they'd run out of the fryer, as if they were still alive. Luna decided to play her guitar and have a concert over the PA. Lucy built a horrifying statue out of a wedding cake in the bakery. She remolded the cake to look like a monster eating the bride and groom topper. On top of that, hijinks ensued when Lincoln apparently got into a storewide scrap with another boy over the last box of the cereal. Lily was at home with Mr. Loud, so no trouble with her.
Will pressed for more info. "The only thing I don't understand is how did you convince your mom to let you do the shopping? Even my dad doesn't let me handle the money when it comes to expenses that concern the both of us."
"Do you forget my ability to convince people?" Lincoln scoffed. "I just simply told my mom what she can do with the new free time she has since I would do the shopping. She agreed, she said that she got a pedicure, the first one in seventeen years. "
So Mrs. Loud never treated herself after Lori was born? Geez, having kids must be a drag, or at least having so many.
Lincoln continued. "Unfortunately they got upset when they learned I got to get myself something if I could save enough money. So we fought, and that resulted in us getting kicked out, without any of the stuff I was gonna buy. All we got was a ban from the store."
"It's not all bad." Will laughed. "Because Lori kept calling Bobby 'Boo Boo Bear,' his boss started calling him that too." The three all laughed at this.
Lincoln sighed. "Yeah, mom's not too happy that she needs to shop for groceries at the next town over."
Will took one step to the right and opened the 'other' cabinet above the sink, he frowned at what he saw.
"Lincoln, all the chocolate's gone!" Lincoln rushed to Will's side and grumbled at the sight of a huge pile of empty chocolate wrappers inside the cabinet.
"Dang it." Lincoln growled. "I should have known, my sisters are all insane choco-holics!" Clyde moved over and sighed when he saw the mess of wrappers inside.
"What are we gonna do?" Clyde asked. "I already rolled out eighty four pie crusts! You Will already set them up in the tins!" Clyde gestured towards a horde of stacks and stacks of unbaked pie crust already set up in tins.
"Not a problem!" Lincoln said with confidence. "We'll just replace the chocolate with something equally delicious!" Will simply rolled his eyes, annoyed at Lincoln's sisters messing something up, again.
Will already had an idea. "I'll go to the store, I'll get some assorted fruity pie fillings."
"You sure?" Lincoln asked. "We asked for your help. We'd hate for you to have to spend your own money for us."
Will smiled at the boys. "Hey, we're friends. Who said anybody owes anyone anything?" Will left the kitchen and moved towards the door, when a sweet voice called him.
"Hey Will!" Leni called from the top of the stairs. Will paused and turned to see her rushing down the steps towards him.
"What is it?" He asked.
"I couldn't stop thinking how sweet it was for you to cover for me during Luan's pranks. I wanted to say thank you, so here." Leni reached into her pocket and took out a fun sized candy bar. Will actually wanted to scoff as he looked at it. "I saved this for you, I got it from the kitchen."
Yeah, it's one of the same bars that Lincoln and Clyde were planning to make a pie with. I guess maybe she didn't get the memo about what we we're doing. *Sigh.* I suppose it's still a nice gesture though. Especially since she's thinking of me like this.
"It's no trouble Leni." Will smiled. "What are friends for?" He reached for the candy and grabbed it and walked out of the house, with a rather pleased smile on his face. Unbeknownst to him however. Lincoln saw the whole thing and softly giggled to himself.
I didn't know it at the time. It was clear that Lincoln knew something about me that I didn't.
Some time later Will was at the Supermarket, Will was in the baked goods aisle. Suddenly his phone buzzed and he checked it. It was a text from Lincoln.
"If you haven't bought anything yet, don't. Clyde thought of an idea, we have plenty around the house to use as a replacement."
"Very well then, I haven't, see you guys around." Will texted back.
Suddenly an announcement came over the PA.
"Boo Boo Bear! Clean up in aisle 8A immediately!"
Will laughed knowing that page was for Bobby. He decided to head that direction to see him. Once he arrived. Will saw Bobby cleaning up a red sticky spot on the floor.
"Hey Bobby." He called.
"Sup bro!" Bobby greeted.
"The Louds may have gotten banned from this store, lucky for myself, me and dad aren't."He answered. The two shared a laugh.
Will was curious. "Tell me, do you like it when the manager calls you by Lori's pet name for you?"
Bobby sighed. "Not really, it's embarrassing. However I'm a valued employee here, it shouldn't be long until he stops it."
"Really?" Will asked.
"Oh yeah, my abuelo owns a bodega back in the city. I worked there for sometime before moving to Royal Woods. I know many ins and outs of running a store."
Will was impressed. "Wow, your family sounds pretty good about business, or just great at management."
"That's not all." Bobby added. "My abuela is the manager of the apartment complex that the rest of my extended family live in. She's the one who gets to tell people who get to move in, and who gets kicked out."
"I had no idea how influential your family is in Great Lakes City." Will said, amazed.
"Yeah, but we don't get to see them much cause they live so far away. Although, we may be seeing them again soon in a few weeks."
Will chuckled at an idea he had. "Poor Lori, she'll be crushed when you go."
"I know." Bobby sighed. "I'll be sad without her beautiful smile." Bobby then playfully nudged Will with his shoulder. "How about you? I bet your girl also has a lovely smile."
Will scoffed playfully. "Come on Bobby, you know I don't have one. Besides, I gotta have a tea party tomorrow in my knight costume with Lola."
"Oh I hope your girlfriend won't get jealous!" Bobby teased.
"What do you mean?" Will asked, now needed to know what he's getting at. Bobby's watch started beeping right as he finished cleaning up the mess.
"Sorry bro gotta go to break talk to you later!" Bobby rushed off in a hurry without answering Will.
I suppose Bobby must have known the same thing Lincoln did. I just didn't know what it was, how sad. In this instance, they know me better than I do.
The next day occurred. In Will's room He dressed up in his knight costume from Halloween a couple of years ago.
I'm kind of surprised that it still fits me comfortably. Although I had to spend nearly forty five minutes in the shower and an extra ten to get my hair right. Now I got a reluctant date with a pageant princess. I know this is what she really wants from me, if you remember she wanted to have a tea party with me. Unfortunately the last time I actually did so it wasn't what she wanted. Lori explained to me what she wants the knight. So unfortunately here we go.
Will marched over to the Louds, watching his feet to make sure he didn't accidentally step on his cape and trip. Will knocked on the door and Lincoln answered it with Clyde at his side.
"Woah. Look at you Sir William!" Lincoln teased, Clyde chuckled with him.
"Har har har." Will laughed sarcastically. "Look I know Lola is just dying to see me like this again so I just want to hurry up and get this over with." Will almost took a step inside but stopped when he noticed Lynn sitting on the couch watching TV.
Will tried to hide and spoke softly. "Oh no. I can't let Lynn catch me like this! She'll tackle me, put me in a choke hold and ruin my costume." His eyes perked up as he was hit with an idea. "Clyde. I need you to distract Lynn for me so I can get through unseen."
Clyde looked to Lynn, then to Will, then Lincoln. Then he nodded.
"I'll do it buddy." Clyde said with a strong face.
"Thanks man, I owe you." Will smiled.
You know I don't bond well with Clyde as I do Lincoln, but when we can work stuff out like this. It makes me feel good that we're friends.
Clyde walked up in front of Lynn and smiled. She just raised an eyebrow at Clyde and stared at him in the face.
"Can I help you?" She asked. Clyde started to sweat nervously, not exactly knowing what to do. Lincoln watched Lynn closely as he noticed that she was staring directly at him. Lincoln silently motioned for Will to come. He started to tip-toe towards the stares, with Lincoln leading the way.
Will started to walk up the steps as Clyde walked up directly to Lynn to keep her focused on him.
Halfway up the stairs the middle step creaked loudly. Lynn was about to turn her head to look but Clyde acted quickly by reaching out his shaking, nervous hand and placing it on Lynn's shoulder. Lynn stayed focused on Clyde. Who was now sweating very hard.
"Heeeeey." Clyde said, trying to sound smooth and cool. Lynn just scoffed as Will and Lincoln managed to finish climbing up the stairs.
"He did it!" Lincoln said happily. "It worked."
"I just hope Lynn doesn't pile drive him instead." Will said. The two walked over to the twins room. "By the way, how did the pie sale go?"
"Terrible." Lincoln sighed. "We got a lot of unsold inventory. Clyde suggested Salt and Vinegar as the secret ingredient for our pies." Will paused, stunned at such a suggestion.
"Why those two things?" Will asked. "Those are not things that make a delicious pie!"
Lincoln awkwardly rubbed his left arm. "Clyde figured it would work because we had plenty of both, and it's a great potato chip flavor so…"
Interesting logic, even if it barely makes sense.
"There's still time though for us to change tactics for our project." Lincoln added.
Will tilted his head. "Any ideas?"
"Luan showed us the money she made from selling balloon animals, Clyde and I are gonna try that next. We already bought a huge supply of mylar snakes."
Will rolled his eyes. "Well, I hope it works out. I can't make any balloon animals besides a snake."
Once they arrived at the twins door Will knocked on it.
"Good luck!" Lincoln said, nudging Will with his shoulder as he left to rejoin Clyde.
Lola opened the door and she looked positively spellbound as she stood still staring at Will. From her perspective, there was a heavenly glow surrounding Will, as his handsome hair swayed around as he gave her a dazzling smile, while showing her his perfectly straight, shiny white teeth.
"Hello, Lola." Will said, in a slightly deep suave voice. "I'm here to have tea with you." Lola was too lovestruck to answer as her cheeks turned bright red as her heat beat almost rapidly. "Lola?" Will said in the same handsome tone. "Lola?...LOLA!" Will said loudly as she snapped out of Lola's imagination.
"Um….Hello Sir William." Lola said, clasping her hands together. "I would be honored with your presence." She curtsyed her dress and offered her hand. Will looked a little sick.
Honestly I'd throw up doing this. However, I gotta follow through. She knows I hate being called by my full name, perhaps what Lori said is true. Maybe she sees me as a totally different person while I'm in this outfit.
Will took her hand and walked with her to the table, he got to the chair on the other side and pulled it out for Lola.
"What good manners you have." Lola praised. "Thank you." She sat in the chair and Will pushed her in. Will sat in the chair opposite of her. However Lola realized she wasn't prepared for this party. "Please wait here while I get the party favors." She quickly left the table and rushed out of the room to the kitchen. After a few minutes, she rushed back with a plate of cucumber sandwiches and a warm kettle of earl gray tea. Her table already had sugar cubes sitting on it, this table is where she held many tea parties before. So she wasn't totally unprepared.
"Nice spread you put up here." Will complimented. "You did very well."
"Thank you so very much." Lola said. She gave him a saucer with a cup sitting on it. "Cup of tea?"
"Please." Will said, taking the cup and holding it as Lola poured her brew into the cup. "Thank you." Will sipped it without slurping. The tea was warm and refreshing.
I can't deny when it comes to tea and fancy servings like this, Lola's really really good.
"So tell me Sir William, have you been on many adventures? Slaying many demons, rescuing fair maidens?" Lola seemed really excited to hear his answer about this.
Will's mouth opened and closed as he struggled to think of a good answer.
Great, I'm roleplaying. I have no idea how to roll with this but I got to try. I seriously can't believe I'm doing this.
Will struggled to speak, as his mind just started to make up what possible best answers.
"I have….won many battles for my kingdom…..many beautiful peasant ladies and noble women, even princess…..were saved by my….courage?"
"Oh how brave." Lola cooed as she rested her hands on her hands and gave Will a dreamy look. His stomach started to feel weak.
I need to eat something. Maybe that'll ease my tummy.
"Would you please pass the cucumber sandwiches?" Will asked. Lola was happy to oblige. Will took one and bit into it. Like the tea, it was also refreshing and delicious.
"If I were to be taken by an evil wizard. I bet you would risk everything to save me." Lola sighed lovingly.
"I would without question." Will answered.
In such an unlikely, unrealistic situation. Sure I would, I don't like what I'm doing right now, but hey she's my friend.
"Oh Sir William." Lola cooed again, her heart racing as she stared into his eyes. Will's heart started racing to, unfortunately because of how nauseating this was getting.
Man I gotta end this quickly before this gets gross.
Will's voice started squeaking and cracking as he tried to sound confident. "Ahhh, how refreshing this was, lady Lola. However I'm afraid I must go, I gotta go on a crusade to save the world." Lola pressed her lips and went wide eyed in sadness.
Oh god, she's looking really cute! I must resist.
"I'll see you again, will I?" Lola asked, sounding as if she's about to cry.
"I shall see you again." Will answered, Lola sighed in delight. Finally having some closure, Will quickly got out of his chair and rushed out the door unfortunately as he opened it he accidentally stepped onto his cape and fell onto his face.
"You ok Will?" Lana asked. She was on the other side of the door when Will just happened to open it.
"Ugh, I'm fine Lana I gotta go." Will quickly picked himself up and rushed out. Lana went into her room and found Lola fainting in pleasure on her bed.
My god. I'm glad I gave Lola what she wanted, but that was turning into a nightmare. I gotta find some way to get this outta her head. I can't do this anymore, lest I end up with a first grader as my girlfriend. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta get home and puke.
The next day, after school. Will was taking out the trash. He saw Lincoln doing the same.
"So how was business today?" Will asked Lincoln.
"The animal balloons were a bust. However, I think I got a better Idea."
"What kind?" Will asked intrigued.
Lincoln explained. "Liam came by and asked for an animal balloon, he said he wanted to present it to a girl he liked. I actually suggested Chocolate to give to that girl since my sisters all love it, and you know what? It worked!"
"That's great for Laim to get a date." Will smiled.
He said my advice worked like magic. He called me a 'girl guru.'"
Will thought about it and giggled softly at how ridiculous that sounds.
Lincoln continued. I figured having so many sisters gives me sort of an advantage when it comes to girls. So dating advice is what me and Clyde are gonna sell.
Will couldn't hold back the hilarity anymore and broke out laughing.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. No way, you serious?
Oh man, I gotta say something. Lincoln has no idea what he's doing.
Of course I am. Lincoln answered sternly. My advice worked for Liam, I know I can do good for the rest of the other guys in school.
Will spoke calmly and placed his hand on Lincoln's shoulder.
Lincoln. As a friend, I strongly suggest you try something else. I mean, come on, you remember that mishap with Ronnie Anne? Also your sisters are unique, what works for them won't work for all other girls.
Oh come on Will, have a little faith. Lincoln said dismissively. You know I can help you with your girl needs as well.
What!? Will said blushing. Lincoln just smirked and reached into his pocket. What's that supposed to mean!?
Here's my card, call me when you're ready. Lincoln walked away with a confident swagger. Will just rolled his eyes as he inspected the card. It said 'Come to Royal Woods Elementary for all your dating needs. Brought to you by Lincoln Loud Girl Guru.'
I tried, hope this won't bite him in the butt too hard.
The following night. Will was back over at the Louds watching 'The Dream Boat.' with the sisters. They all bunched together on the Couch while Will was alone on the chair.
You're probably wondering why I'm here, and why I'm watching this show? A show which I dislike. Well I volunteered, because I needed to see if Lola's crush just went away, just like Lori said it would. I needed to know, so I asked Luna what the family was doing tonight and they said they were catching the new episode of The Dream Boat. I asked if I could join them. They all agreed but kind of looked at me like I'm crazy. I arrived in my normal attire, and it does seem that Lori was telling me the truth.
Indeed Lola just waved to Will when he walked in, and when the show started. Lola barely acknowledged Will's existence, she's too focused on the T.V. On the show they showed a muscular man with a tight golf shirt and a brown flat top haircut, giving a bouquet of roses to a very attractive blonde woman wearing a one piece aqua colored swimsuit. She teared up as she took the flowers.
Truth be told, I barely understand what's going on. Kind of spaced out five minutes ago.
Suddenly Lincoln and Clyde burst through the door with terrified looks on their faces. They dashed in front of the TV and shut the curtains.
"Oh boy." Lori sighed. "What did you two do now?"
"L-Lori?" Clyde stammered seeing her. He took out a paper bag and breathed into it, but still fainted anyway. Lincoln didn't hesitate to explain.
"Well, Clyde and I had to start a business for school. So we…kinda…charged boys at school for advice about girls."
There was a pause. Until the Loud sisters all broke out laughing.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" They laughed, even Will chuckled softly. Lincoln instantly felt embarrassed. Once they all calmed down. Lori had to ask.
"Lincoln, what do you know about girls?" Lori asked as Will went to Clyde and snapped his fingers above his face to wake him up.
Lincoln shrugged. "Well, I thought that since I had ten sisters…."
"We're not all the same." Luan pointed out.
"I'm not like Lana." Lola chimed in.
"And thank goodness for that." Lana declared as the twins smacked high fives.
Yeah, no kidding.
"Oh man, you're right." Lincoln sighed. "Now we gave everyone in the school bad advice. Now everyone hates us. How am I gonna fix this?" Clyde's eyes opened as Will helped him up to his feet.
Suddenly, Mr. Loud came out of the kitchen with one of Lincoln and Clyde's unsold pies in his hand.
"A kitchen full of Pie?" He announced. "I guess it's dad's lucky day!" Not knowing what the ingredients are, he took a big bite out of one and instantly made a sick face.
"Sorry dad." Lincoln said. "We went a little overboard on the salt."
"I'll say." Mr. Loud agreed. "You'll just have to toss the whole batch you made." That word really spoke to Lincoln.
"Toss? That's it!" Lincoln was hit with an idea. "Clyde, we're back in business!" They dashed towards the kitchen to collect their huge stacks of unsold pies.
The next morning was Saturday Will was standing next to the toaster in the kitchen heating up Pop Tarts. Nicholas was down in the basement working out.
The great thing about dad having the day off on the weekends, is I can make a meal for myself. In this case I'll go for something super fast and easy.
The pastries jumped out of the toaster all nice and hot. Will moved a small plate underneath them as his breakfast landed on it. Will smiled as he sniffed them with a big inhale.
"Mmmmm, blueberry." He said to himself.
He heard rustling from the Louds as he went to the kitchen window as he looked out to see the Loud siblings dragging tables out on the driveway. Each one had a small pile of random junk with them. As Will watched them he bit into one of his Pop Tarts but felt a burn in his mouth.
"MMMMMMM!" He groaned in pain as he sat the pastries on the kitchen table. "Too hot!"
Of course dummy. They just came out of the toaster. Although that's what I get for getting my mind distracted with what the Louds are doing.
Will looked at the pastries and decided to leave them on the table to cool. He went outside and walked over to Lincoln to see what was going on. He saw the sisters were laying out their junk on their individual tables in a presenting way. In the grass next to the main walkway up to the front door, was a large sign that said 'Garage Sale.'
Will called. "Hey Lincoln, having a yard sale? How did the school business go?"
"Hey Will." Lincoln answered. "Me and Clyde got an A on the project. Our pies sold out fast, we sold 'Revenge on the Girl Guru.' Someone can buy a pie and sling it at my face. It seemed to do just the trick to get cool with all the guys and girls in the school."
Will laughed softly. "Well, glad things worked out ok. So what's with this?" He asked, waving his arms towards the other sisters with their tables. Lincoln put on a focused face.
"We tend to be very competitive. Also we could use some money, so we're gonna have a yard sale to not only get some, but show who is the best business person. I'm gonna be number one when the market closes at five tonight."
Lisa scoffed. "That's amusing coming from someone who couldn't sell a negative charge to an electron."
"Well you couldn't sell a rattle to a snake!" Lana countered.
"Well you couldn't sell a dress if it was fifty percent off!" Leni argued. "Not even if it was half off." She added. She put on a smug smile as everyone rolled their eyes.
"Well good luck with everything!" Will said as he turned around and went back home. The Louds all waved to him as he left.
Two hours later Will and Nicholas were watching an Avengers movie in the living room. The movie was at the epic final fight scene between the group of heroes and the evil, robotic Ultron.
"Doctor Strange may not be in this one, but I do love Thor!" Will remarked.
"He's cool. Iron Man's the best." Nicholas remarked. The two looked at each other and laughed.
Will noticed shadows from the front window out of the corner of his eye. He turned to see many people coming to buy from the Loud's yard sale.
Half an hour later the movie was over and Nicholas left to go to the Supermarket. Will decided to head back to the Louds when he noticed a big crowd over there. Also Clyde was there assisting Lincoln with the sales. Although some of the stuff Lincoln's selling doesn't appear to be the loose junk he was offering earlier. In fact they all seemed to be gathering around Lincoln's table. The Loud sisters were glaring at Lincoln's table. In the middle of the driveway. There was a miniature chalkboard with the Loud's names on it. Along with the amount of the money they made. It's clear that Lincoln was in first with a hundred and fifty dollars, but Lily was in last with twenty dollars.
Wow, even as a baby Lily is showing skill as a good salesperson.
"Hey Lucy what's going on?" Will asked, noticing that Clyde is trying to sell a coffee maker. Before Lucy could answer he received a big shock.
"WILL!" Lori called loudly, causing him to jump. "Lincoln can't win this contest. Please buy from me!"
"No me!" Lisa argued.
"ME!" Lola yelled.
"Dude you gotta buy from me!" Luna cried.
"GUYS!" Will screamed as the other sisters were getting ready to pressure Will to buy something from them. The scream instantly silenced them. Will sighed and took out what money he had. "All I have is thirty dollars. I can probably only buy one thing from one of you guys." The sisters all leaned in and put on sad, or cute faces to lure Will in. He moved around slowly with his eyes scanning all the items on the table.
Man I hate being pressured like this, but they're my friends of course I'm gonna support them.
His eyes finally stopped at Luna's table, she's selling some old vinyl records and eight track tapes, and a few CDs.
"I'll take the Led Zeppelin tape and the Elvis Presly record." Will said.
"That'll be fifteen." Luna smiled as she and Will traded the cash for the items.
I don't have much use for this although I think my dad does.
"WOOOOO! Bumps me to third place!" Luna cheered.
"Wait a minute!" Lori shouted in anger once she got a closer look at the coffee maker Clyde was holding. On Lincoln's table was a toaster and a subwoofer for a TV sound system. Behind them was a set of kitchen knives and a miniature Grandfather Clock, one that can hang on the wall. Lori stomped over to Lincoln with the other sisters glaring at him.
"What are you doing!?" She asked with an angry glare. "This stuff isn't yours!"
Lincoln paused and his eyes shifted. "Soooo?" Will shook his head once he realized what Lincoln's up to.
Oh god, he's selling any stuff he can get his hands on around the house.
All the Louds dashed into the house and one by one ran out with more appliances and furniture and tried really hard to sell it all. It was astonishingly working as the people paid for it all and the pile of stuff vanished as fast as it formed.
Oh man, now they're all doing it. At least I get to keep the last of my money.
Will tip-toed backwards before slinking back to his house. Nicholas's truck was back in the driveway, so he's back.
"What'cha got there?" Nicholas asked as he saw the music in Will's arms.
"Stuff I got coerced into buying from the Louds." Will answered, rolling his eyes. They went to the kitchen table to examine the stuff. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Nicholas answered it and on the other side was Lincoln and Lily, Lincoln was holding Lily in his arms. The baby sniffed as she clearly finished crying.
"What's going on?" Nicholas asked.
"I'm sorry to bother you." Lincoln said. "We need to watch Lily for us."
"Why?" Nicholas asked, raising an eyebrow. "Aren't your parents home?" Lincoln paused as he started to sweat. Clearly trying to hide something.
"WILL!" Lincoln called. Will rushed out, excusing himself as he moved past his father.
"What is it?" Will said softly to Lincoln. Nicholas was standing in the doorway staring at them. Lincoln whispered to Will so Nicholas couldn't hear him.
"Please watch Lily for us. We messed up big."
"How?" Will whispered back.
"I won the contest. Unfortunately it appears we may have sold Lily's blanky."
"Oh great." Will sighed sarcastically.
"We can't let Mom and Dad find out about this, but we need to find the blanket quickly." Leni recommended we leave Lily with you. "She said you're great with kids."
"What?" Will gasped. "I only watched her that one time!" Unfortunately Lincoln shoved Lily in his arms without answering.
"Thanks for being a pal." Lincoln called as he bolted down the sidewalk. "We'll be back!"
Will sighed as he stared at Lily as she sniffed in sadness.
"So your siblings screwed up again?" Will asked her. Lily responded by rolling her eyes. "I'm sorry." Will turned around and walked into the house. Nicholas was dumbfounded at this turn of events.
"So why are we watching Lily?" Nicholas asked, he stared at the baby and his heart melted at her cuteness. Smiling, he offered Lilly his finger which Lily playfully touched.
"Because of…" Will struggled to answer.
I know I can't lie to my dad, he always eventually finds out the truth. But what can I tell him? I tell him, he tells Mr. and Mrs. Loud.
"Oh nevermind." Nicholas said. "I wanna hold her." Nicholas took Lily from Will as she laughed as she reached out and started petting his long hair like a dog. Will breathed a sigh of relief as he got a way out of answering.
About half an hour later, Nicholas was giving Lily a piggyback ride on his head. Lily playfully laughed as Will sat on the couch and watched with a big smile on his face.
I gotta admit. I'm happy to see dad so happy with another child. Perhaps….no I can't think about it now.
There was a knock on the door and Will answered it. He was out of breath as he held a familiar piece of purple cloth in his hand.
"I….found it." Lincoln panted.
"No I did!" Luan shouted as she and eventually all the other sisters appeared at Will's front door with purple blankets of their own.
"That's impossible." Lincoln said, finally catching his breath. "Someone sold it to Flip and I had to give him my Yard Sale money to buy it back!"
"No way! Me too!" Lana shouted.
"Me three!" Lisa called.
"Looks like he played you all, again." Will noted.
See what I mean? Flip is a swindler, I really don't like him.
"Dang it." Lori sighed. "Come on, let's go home."
"Guess we gotta own up what we did." Luna sighed.
The Louds all hung their heads as Will interrupted Nicholas, who reluctantly gave Lily to him.
"If you need a secret babysitter, and if I'm home. You can call me anytime." Nicholas announced. "I love this little cutie." Lily playfully laughed as she clearly made a new friend.
Will handed the baby back to Lincoln and they all left to return home, except Leni who stayed behind.
"Sorry for dumping this on you, again." She said as she rubbed her left arm.
"It's ok." Will said to her, smiling.
"You know. I meant what I said when I told Lincoln to leave Lily with you. I bet you'd make a great dad one day." Will blushed as he nervously cleared his throat. "Anyways, thanks again." Leni finally left with the others.
Nicholas rested his hand on Will's shoulder as he was still visibly red.
"Shut up." Will said to him, knowing what he's thinking.
"I didn't say anything." Nicholas chuckled as he went back to the couch. "May I give you a piece of advice though. Ask her out. In dating the phrase 'you snooze you lose' is more real than you know." Will just stood in place, with a confused look on his face.
"What are you talking about?" He demanded.
"Oh I believe you know." Nicholas countered. Will hung his head and pondered.
Actually I think I do. I felt embarrassed by the fact that I'm surrounded by people who know that…apparently I have a crush on Leni. I know Ronnie Anne asked me about it, it has crossed my mind a few times. Even now, I just don't seem to want to acknowledge it.
A/N That was the new chapter. What did you like? What didn't you like? Let me know in a PM or a review. I'm gonna try to get the next one out as quick as I can. Thank you all and see you next time!
