A/N Good day everyone. Sorry for the delay. I hope for everyone who celebrates it. I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. Now we're going into Christmas, so I'm going to be quite busy. I'll be proud to tell you all I'm getting cover art made for my future fics. For now though enjoy!
A Fair to Remember/A Tattler's Tale.
*CRASH!*
"Oof!" Will cried as he fell over a table. Ms. Johnson reached her hand to him and he stood back up again. He rubbed the back of his head trying to ease an ache on it.
I'm practicing dancing again. Ms. Johnson has us practicing at the Retirement Home. We moved here since the Principal of the Elementary school ordered us to leave. Man I really don't like him, he's such a hard man. This old folk's home has a wide room for events where dancing events may take place. Some of the residents here stay and observe us, it's really embarrassing especially because Scoots lives here, although I got to meet Lincoln's grandfather. Mrs. Loud's father, they just call him Pop Pop. As you can tell I'm not making much progress.
"Don't give up." Ms. Johnson encouraged. "You may not know it, but you're improving a little."
"How?" Will sighed sadly. Will eyed the three residents who were watching the whole thing, sitting in chairs along the wall of the room that was no bigger than a personal home Gym.
An elderly woman pointed out. "You may have crashed two times. However you almost did three other times but you avoided the tables and chairs!"
"Thanks." Will sighed again, clearly not very receptive to the praise.
Ms. Johnson offered the seniors to dance with me when my accidents got her hurt, but when they saw what could happen to them if they did so. They decided for their safety, to just stay away and maybe offer advice.
"I think we have had enough practice today." Ms. Johnson said. "Why don't you run home." Will sighed in relief and nodded in agreement.
Will left the Home and got onto his bike and began to ride home.
Ms. Johnson, Dad and myself, all agreed that I'd spend at least three days a week going to the Home to practice more. I don't get what she's saying that 'I'm making progress.' I suppose her judgment may be correct.
Once Will made it home Nicholas was already back, for dinner they just ate leftover pot roast from the day before.
A downside to this arrangement is that I'm short on time to make dinner, or have fun with the Louds. Between learning to dance and my homework, It's quite a pain. I just hope it'll be worth it in the end. All I can say is, Dad seems to be ok with it. He seems pretty dead set on me succeeding in this.
Will and Nicholas sat across from each other and ate the food.
"I got a call from Agnes." Nicholas said. "She says you're getting better but you're still bumping into stuff."
"If she says so." Will dismissed shoving some food into his mouth. Nicholas felt a little sad, he'd love to talk to his son more about this, but Will clearly doesn't want to.
After dinner Will was cleaning dishes and suddenly, his phone started ringing. He checked his phone and saw it's Lori calling him. Will slipped out the back door and answered the call.
"Hey Lori." Will said.
"Hi Will." Lori sighed. "I need your help." Will was a little surprised.
"Really? What for?"
It's a little surprising. Lori doesn't usually ask me for help, she usually asks Bobby.
Lori had to give a lengthy explanation. "Two weeks ago, I was on a date with Bobby, unfortunately he got us two tickets to a demolition derby. I literally had no interest in that, so I suggested he and Lincoln go together. They came back and had a great time. They even made up a best friend's handshake."
"Ok." Will replied, forwarding the conversation.
Lori continued. "Last week we had a date at the beach and Bobby invited Lincoln and it ruined the date! Last night we had a dinner date and once again, Bobby invited Lincoln and it again ruined everything! Earlier before I called you, Bobby called for me to come to Gus's Games and Grub so he could give me some flowers, unfortunately he was already there hanging out with Lincoln!"
"Hmmm. I see." Will pondered starting to catch on. "You feel as if you're being cast aside, that Lincoln is hogging your man."
Will couldn't tell but Lori smiled, yet rolled her eyes on the other end.
"I wouldn't put it that bluntly, but yes." She answered. "Now this weekend we were supposed to go to the fair and ride the Tunnel of Love together. Like before Lincoln's coming to."
"I'm sorry." Will said in a slight sympathetic tone. "Although I don't see what this has to do with me."
"Lucy said I should make Bobby jealous to get him to drop Lincoln and come back to me. I'm gonna invite another boy to be my company."
Will's eyes widened, as his mouth hung open as he figured it out.
I'll admit, normally I wouldn't be able to refuse a date with Lori, she's really pretty despite being quite hard boiled. However, I can't get Leni outta my head and heart, also Lincoln and Bobby are my friends. I can't get involved with this.
"No Lori." Will objected. "I can't be your date."
"Uhhh." Lori bitterly groaned. "Why?"
Will explained. "I can't do something like that to rub Bobby and Lincoln wrong."
Lori decided to offer a deal. "Come on, I'll help you get back into Leni's good graces!" That offer was hard to turn down. Will paused as his mind raced, he can't turn this down. However Will turned around and noticed his father sitting on the couch. Will sighed and remembered something he told him a long time ago.
"Son, anything in life worth chasing is best done with your own hard work and dedication. The rewards are better enjoyed at the end."
"Sorry Lori, I still can't." Will answered.
"Not even for my help?" Lori said angrily.
"Lori, if I'm gonna fix this. I gotta do this myself." Lori went silent, she knew he was telling the truth.
"So what do I do?" Lori asked.
Will suggested nonchalantly. "I guess you could ask Clyde, I mean we all know he has his eyes on you." Lori's face brightened up as she knew that was a better decision.
"Good idea Will thank you!" She hung up the phone as Will let out a deep exhale. He went back inside the house and resumed doing dishes. Once he was finished he went to the couch and sat next to Nicholas as they were watching the Guardians of the Galaxy. Nicholas was softly singing with the soundtrack of the movie which was full of top hits from times before Will was ever born.
This is one of dad's favorite recent movies. It's also one of Luna's, the one reason for both of them is because they love the music so much.
"What was that about?" Nicholas asked about the phone call. Will explained what he talked about. Nicholas smiled softly. He didn't say it but he felt proud of Will for his decision.
"Interesting." He chuckled. "I guess Clyde must be on cloud nine right now." Both he and Will shared a laugh.
I hate to say it. I think Clyde will thank me for this.
That Saturday day Will went back to the Retirement Home to spend more time with Ms. Johnson, practicing dancing.
I've been at this for about half an hour. I feel as if things are getting a little easier. I only crashed once so far today. Honestly this is a little better than being in this odd lovers quarrel, or whatever it's called. Involving Lori, Bobby, Lincoln, and Clyde at the fair.
"Way to go Will!" Ms. Johnson praised once the song ended. "Just as I said, practice and you'll get it eventually." Will scratched the back of his head at the praise.
"That advice you gave on day one when we started this actually helps." He said. "I had to get a feel for the room and the layout. However hurting the girl I care about is the last thing I want to do. It started to get a little easier in time."
"That's good to hear." Ms. Johnson said. "You can go home now, tomorrow if you can manage this without a mistake, you can move onto the next level of this training." That made Will's face beam.
I'm improving! Perhaps this wasn't such a crazy idea afterall.
Will began to move towards the exit as Ms. Johnson moved to get her coat hanging on a rack. Will paused as he looked at her as his mind wandered.
I gotta admit It's cool how she's going outta her way for me. Perhaps I'm all wrong about her relationship with my dad.
Will dashed out the door to his bike and began to ride home.
The next afternoon Will, Lincoln, and Clyde were relaxing in the living room at the Loud's as Lincoln gave a recap as to what happened at the Fair. Clyde was leaning in with excitement, this made Will a little confused.
"What are you so excited for?" Will asked Clyde. "You were there!"
"Yeah, but I was passed out about ninety percent of the day." Clyde explained. "Unfortunately I don't remember it."
"Oh man I'm sorry." Will said sadly.
I know being used in a lovers argument isn't right, but for Clyde it must be the best day of his life! Sad to not actually be aware of it all.
Lincoln explained. "I couldn't help but feel bad for Lori because she wasn't having a good time, I was kind of deliberately hogging Bobby most of the day. It all worked out though. Lori really just wanted to ride the Tunnel of Love with Bobby, I let him go to do that."
"I may not be able to remember it." Clyde said happily. "But I got to go on a date with my lovely goddess!"
Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Lincoln answered it. Bobby entered, he and Lincoln did a best friend's handshake.
"Say are we cool?" Clyde said to Bobby to which he smiled and nodded. "I'm so glad you're being mature about this, especially knowing about the very romantic date I had with your lady." That statement sounded quite off to everyone in the room.
"Uhhh Clyde." Will raised his voice. However Bobby and Lincoln shook their heads to silence him.
I guess they're gonna let Clyde have this one. Despite the fact that it wasn't a real date, and it didn't sound romantic.
The three just repeated the same best friend's handshake. Will just looked on in envy.
I gotta admit. I wanna be part of that. My best friend shake with these two is a simple high five and fist bump. Thiers is a combination of those actions but repeated in a specific pattern.
"Clyde!" Lucy said, popping up surprising everyone in the room. She was holding a small gift box in her hands. "Lori said she'd like to thank you for the time at the Fair and for being such a good sport about the whole thing. She'd like to give you this gift as a memento of your time together."
"For Me!?" Clyde cheered as he took the box and hastily ripped the paper off and opened it. Everyone bunched over Clyde's shoulders and looked inside. It was a ribbon of small photos that would come out of a 'One Hour Photo' booth. Next to it was a handwritten card with 'Thank You!' written on it. Clyde was left breathless as he stared at the photos of him and Lori together. He just collapsed on the carpet again at the sight of Lori.
Will inspected the pictures closely. Will tried to hold in laughter as the pictures depicted a very irritated Lori struggling to adjust Clyde's unconscious body to make sweet poses together and utterly failing. In fact Clyde's glasses had fake googly eyes on the lenses to give a bad illusion he was still awake. There were globs of pink cotton candy in his hair as well.
Lincoln said Lori tried to get a romantic setting with Clyde at the cotton candy machine. Apparently it failed as Clyde's body fell into the machine. He wasn't harmed thank God, but this does explain why he has cotton candy in these pictures.
"That's my bro!" Lincoln said as everyone broke out into laughter.
The next weekend Will was sitting at home watching a DC superhero movie.
I was practicing dancing this week, Ms. Johnson said I have successfully made it to the next level of this practice. Now I can't imagine Leni with my eyes closed. Now I gotta try to dance with Ms. Johnson with my eyes open and able to focus at all times, instead of just in a fantasy in my head.
Suddenly there was a knock at his door. Will sighed in annoyance and paused the movie and went to answer it. To Will's surprise and slight horror, it's Lola.
"Uh, hi." Will said nervously. Will felt uneasy due to Lola having a mischievous smirk on her face.
"Hello, Sir William!" Lola spoke in a sweet voice. Terror washed over Will's body as the little girl seemed to openly flirt with Will again.
Oh no! Wait a minute though, I'm not in my knight costume! How can she be doing this?
"Lola, I'm just Will." He tried to assert.
"For now." Lola sighed. "Right now however, I need you to get into your outfit and join me for a tea party."
"Right now!?" Will shouted. "No!" He gave Lola a cold glare, showing how serious he was. However Lola's face didn't lose the smirk.
"Oh, ok." Lola sighed. "I'll be sure to let everyone know how good of a dancer you are. You've been practicing hard with Lincoln's teacher."
Will's jaw dropped as he felt his soul shatter like a pane of glass.
How does she know this!? I can't let her do this to me, this little demon!
Clenching his teeth in anger, Will spoke in an angry mumble.
"I'll be right there." He said.
"That's better." Lola said, feeling victorious. "Now don't forget to see Lori and Leni to get your hair ready. I'll see you at the party!"
Will just watched Lola skip merrily down the sidewalk back to the Louds as Will closed the door loudly, but not quite slamming it.
About half an hour later Will left Lori and Leni's room after getting his face and hair done. He was dressed in his knight costume again, he went down the hall reluctantly knocked on the door to Lola and Lana's room.
According to Lori, Lola's been on a blackmail rampage the past few days. One day a few of the siblings got together and share some 'crimes' that they all commited that would surely get them all grounded for months. Lola wasn't with them when they shared this stuff but somehow she found out about it. Apparently I'm just the latest victim of it.
The door opened and to Will's surprise, Lincoln's the one who answered it. He had his hair combed back and he was in a fancy tuxedo, he looked like a butler, in fact he held a serving tray in his left hand so it's obvious that's exactly what's going on.
"She got you to eh?" Lincoln sighed. Will just nodded.
Will noticed that there's a few other siblings inside the room dressed way out of their normal look. Luna stood in the back of the room wearing a purple dress with a fluffy collar. She also appeared to be playing a lute instead of a guitar. Lynn was on her knees at Lola's feet polishing her toenails. She dressed like a handmaid, wearing a brown dress and a tan band in her hair. At the table was a stash of fake jewelry mixed with the usual tea party refreshments. Also at the table was Lana dressed in a light green dress, around her neck was a fake pearl necklace and her ears had big plastic hoop clip-on earrings. On top of her red hat was a big plastic gold crown covered in fake pink jewels.
Will felt disgusted, Lola's blackmailing seemed to go insane.
"With a moo moo here." Luna sang, strumming her instrument. Clearly singing Old Macdonald Had a Farm.
"Wrong!" Lola snapped. "I believe he said he had a pig?" Luna bitterly clenched her teeth and continued to sing.
"With an oink oink here and an oink oink there."
Lola turned her attention to Lisa who was sitting at a desk wearing a green beret.
"How's my homework coming Lis?" Lola called.
"I'm at the letter 'S.'" She answered by holding up a poster with the alphabet made entirely of dry macaroni noodles.
Lola looked it over closely. "Make the macaroni a little crooked. I don't want the teacher to get suspicious." She then called to Luan. "Hey jester, how about a joke?" Luan was dressed in a medieval court jester outfit stripped in blue and yellow. She even had a pointed hat with bells on the ends.
"Why do chicken coops have two doors?" Luan started unenthusiastically. "Because if they had anymore they'd be chicken sedans." Despite the dry delivery Lola cackled at the joke. However it all stopped as she finally set her eyes on Will. She blushed and sighed, once again giving knight Will, a dreamy look. Will on the other hand was glaring at her.
I can't really play the part she wants effectively knowing that she practically enslaved her siblings and apparently myself.
"Why hello sir Will." Lola cooed. Will stayed silent and just continued to glare at her. He pulled out the chair across from Lola and rather aggressively plopped his behind in it. "Oh waiter!" She called clapping her hands at Lincoln. "Mind pouring us some tea?" Lincoln approached the table and grabbed the teapot and began to pour into cups for Lola and Will.
Will nodded to Lincoln giving him a non verbal 'thank you.'
"So how's my handsome lord?" Lola asked sweetly.
"Well, the princess seemed to have completely lost her mind." Will remarked. Lola's head seemed to throb a little at Will's jab. Luna, Luan and Lincoln all smiled a little at that.
"Need I remind the brave knight that he has a secret he wants to stay a secret." Lola warned. Will grumbled as he had to play along.
Well, at least I won't want to throw up after this. Instead I'll just have to find something healthy to take my anger out on afterwards.
Later that night. Will was in a Loud sibling meeting he was invited to since he was also a victim of Lola's blackmail.
The only thing I can take some comfort in, is atleast Lola kept her word and didn't even tell her siblings why I got roped into this. However I gotta help them break out of this, who's to say she won't try this again, even if the buzz from my dancing training is long gone, she'll just get a new means to exploit me.
"Ok we all know why we're here." Lori announced. "Lola literally knows our secrets, and she is literally torturing us!"
Will chimed in. "I hate playing the handsome knight for her. I do so just to be nice to her, and she keeps badgering me to dress up as him from time to time. After this, never again!"
"Clearly we got a rat." Lynn suggested. As she eyed the other siblings suspiciously. Will did get somewhat of a clue by hearing that.
You know, there is one sibling who I haven't seen exploited for anything. Maybe….
"EW WHERE!?" Leni shrieked, misunderstanding the wording, yet again.
"Not a rodent!" Lisa explained to her. "A street word meaning 'snitch.' So which one of you lowlifes is it?" All the siblings, even Will eyed each other suspiciously and with great anger. They were all about to violently pounce on each other when Lincoln discovered something important on the floor in the corner of the room.
"Wait!" He called. He picked up a little tiara, one normally owned by Lola, except this one had a miniature microphone attached to it. "I know who the rat is! Her name rhymes with 'Granola!'"
"Lisa?" Leni guessed, causing everyone to roll their eyes.
"No! Lola!" Lincoln corrected. "She planted a tiara rigged with a microphone and eavesdropped on our meetings!"
To be fair I don't think 'Granola' properly rhymes with 'Lola' either. If it does, it's not a good one, I mean, what about 'Cola?'
Will sighed. "What about me though? How does she know about my, 'dirty laundry?'" Will eyed everyone in the room and they all shrugged. Will believed them, they all had no clue.
"Well, now that we know who the rat is." Lori said. "What do we do about it?"
"She still has all our secrets!" Lana reminded everyone.
"What if we had one of hers?" Lincoln suggested.
"Fat chance." Lynn scoffed. "Lola covers all her tracks no way we can get one."
"Everyone makes mistakes, even Lola." Lincoln stated. "We just have to look hard enough and distract her long enough to get the dirt we need."
They all dispersed for the day to go lay in wait and set up any distractions for Lola while Lincoln began to work on plans to get the dirt on Lola.
I gotta find out how Lola found out about my secret. I can't let her get any more on me.
Will went back to his house and began to calmly search every nook and cranny of the house including his own and Nicholas's bedroom. Nicholas was reading a book on the couch and was confused about what Will was doing, seemingly aimlessly around the house. He just shook his head and decided to ignore it.
That night Will laid awake in bed with his window covered and the doors locked.
Dang it, I couldn't find any weak spots ideal for a spy. I couldn't find any hidden microphones or cameras that Lola could use. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep well until me and the Louds put a stop to her.
The next day Will was moving the lawn as he heard a loud yelp come from the Louds. Will paused his work and saw Lincoln hanging from a second floor window. It was wide open until someone slammed it shut. This caused Lincoln to fall and hit the ground below. Will winced because Lincoln not only fell from a sort of tall height. He also landed on a cactus seemingly placed perfectly under the window.
"OW OW OW!" Lincoln squealed as Will dashed over and pulled him out of the cactus. Unfortunately Lincoln's back and legs were covered in cactus pins.
Luckily I know who's room that was, I understand what he was doing.
"No luck on finding dirt?" Will asked.
"Nope, Lola's too good at hiding it. She left notes under her bed, in her trash can and even fake diary entries. They all basically said, 'quit snooping.'"
"That's not all." Will said, pointing to the cactus Lincoln fell on. There was another note attached to it. Will tore it off and read it aloud. The header on the paper had pink unicorns and "Lola Loud" written in fancy cursive.
"If you landed here it means you were snooping in my room. Enjoy the pricklies. XOXOXO Lola."
"Man she is a little demon." Will grumbled. Will and Lincoln went inside Will's home and Lincoln laid face down on the couch as Will used tweezers to pull out the cactus pins. Some came out ok, others were in so deep that Lincoln yelped in pain once they were pulled. Once they were all gone Will noticed another one of Lola's tiaras sticking out of Lincoln's pocket. Will thought for a moment then was hit with an idea.
"Lincoln! That's it!" Will cheered.
"What is?" Lincoln asked rubbing his sore legs where the pins were.
"You were looking for dirt in the wrong place!" Will explained. "The correct place is the pageants!" Lincoln's face beamed as that had to be correct.
Later Lincoln and Will went down to Miss Liza's Pageant Training Center for little girls. Normally the lady at the front desk wouldn't allow strangers into the back area. However Lincoln explained he's the brother of Lola Loud and the two were granted access.
The two boys got to the main stage area with a small catwalk and rows and rows of dresses and costumes. Will felt a little uneasy being there.
Man these places give me the creeps. I don't know why Lola does this stuff.
They spotted a small group of girls all around Lola's age. Lincoln called them together and Will moved ahead once the boys approached them.
"This is my department Lincoln." Will smirked at him then spoke charismatically to the group. "Girls, we are close associates of your competitor Lola Loud. I'm sure you would like to get a leg up on her in the competition. We're planning to hit her where it's the most effective. Her home life, however we need your help to tell us any dirty secret about her that could get her grounded. Give us the darkest secret you can and we guarantee the next Tiara and Sash is all yours."
Unfortunately all the girls gasped in horror and ran away. Will was just confused.
"I thought I sold that pretty well." Will shrugged.
"Maybe they don't have any dirt." Lincoln concluded. "Or maybe she did something very wrong to them."
"PSSST!" A little girl's voice called in a loud whisper to get Will and Lincoln's attention. "Over Here!" The boys looked towards a dark closet and saw a girl beckoning them to come over with her hand. They walked over but she pulled Lincoln in and shut the door leaving Will outside. However the door was thin and Will could hear everything inside.
"I'm only helping you because I'm tired of coming in second to Lola all the time!" The girl said.
"Wait. Is this Lindsay Sweetwater?" Lincoln asked.
I don't really know anything about Lindsay Sweetwater. All I know is she's Lola's greatest rival and it seems like either one is willing to play dirty tricks to beat the other.
"Do you want the dirt or not?" She growled. Lincoln shut up and Will leaned in and listened to the dark secret. Both Lincoln and Will gasped as he exited the closet. Will got a good look at the girl. She wore a blue pageant gown, not much different to Lola's and had brown hair tied into two buns on the sides of her head. She looked back at Will and scoffed.
"You must be the knight boy Lola says she wants to marry." Lindsay said. Will grumbled under his breath at this disturbing revelation. Lindsay inspected Will up and down. "Not bad, but I don't see what's so great about you."
"Thanks a lot." Will said sarcastically. "You know it's not like that at all."
"Don't worry." Lindsay said. "Well all know she's just making herself sound bigger than she really is."
I feel a little sad for Lola, acting like she's in a relationship that doesn't exist, although she shouldn't brag or boast about a big fat lie.
Later that evening everyone gathered in Lola's room and confronted her with this dark secret. They informed her of what they all knew.
Lola gasped in shock. "How did you know that!? Who told you!?"
"Doesn't matter." Lincoln refused to say.
"The point is if you rat us out. We'll rat you out!" Lori threatened.
"I refuse to play handsome knight for you anymore!" Will said sternly. "I hate doing it, and I won't if you're gonna blackmail me!" Lola hung her head in sadness and everyone left.
That night Nicholas and Will were eating dinner together. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Nicholas got up and opened up. It was Mrs. Loud standing with Lola next to her. Lola looked genuinely sad.
"Hello Rita, little Lola." Nicholas greeted. "What do we owe this pleasure?"
"Go ahead Lola." Mrs. Loud said, gently pushing Lola forward to speak.
"Mr. Clements. Can I talk to Will?" She asked. Nicholas signaled Will and he came over to the door. Will felt a little sad for Lola for her down feeling appears to be sincere.
"Hi Lola." Will said calmly. "Wanna go to my room and talk?" Lola nodded and the two went up the stairs to Will's room. Leaving Nicholas and Mrs. Loud alone to talk.
Lola and Will sat on his bed as Will gave Lola his full attention.
"What is it?" Will asked.
"I wanna say I'm sorry for what I did." Lola apologized. "I had no right to hang your secret over your head like that."
"Good start." Will said, breaking a smile at her.
"I'm also sorry for how I acted with you ever since I saw your halloween costume." Lola added. "I admit you were the most handsome and debonair guy I've ever seen when you wore it, and even still when you put it on now. I shouldn't bug you to wear it and have tea parties with me. Especially if it's true that you hate doing it."
"I do." Will confirmed, he sighed and placed a hand on her shoulder. The two looked each other in the eyes. "Thanks for the apology Lola. I accept it." She smiled and gave Will a hug. Will hesitated but returned the hug.
Honestly it's a little weird but, hey it's cute and she means what she's saying.
"Although there is one thing I need to know." Will said as the two separated. "How did you know about my dancing lessons?"
"Oh because Pop Pop told me." He thought "I was interested in this since I do ribbon dances for my pageants."
Will sighed and hung his head in both relief and embarrassment.
The most simple answer is the truth. I'm glad to know it, but I'm still upset that the secret got out.
"Grandparents, the biggest blabbermouths am I right?" Lola joked. Lola and Will both shared a laugh. "Don't worry. I won't tell anyone and I'll make sure no one else finds out."
"Thanks Lola." Will said as the two hugged each other again. "I stand by what I said though. I'm not playing handsome knight for you ever again." Lola sighed, feeling a little sad but agreed. The two laughed at this agreement.
Later that night Will was on a phone call with Lincoln discussing what just happened.
So Lola turned herself in? Will asked.
"Yep, she wanted to earn our trust." Lincoln explained. "She was upset that we weren't allowing her into our secret meetings so she decided to 'punish' us. We're safe while she's grounded for a month. That's when she decided to apologize to you."
"That's nice of her to do." Will complimented. "I feel good because I'm now free from her crush on the knight me!" Lincoln and Will both laughed.
She can still be at times. I guess she's not such a little demon after all.
The next day Will was practicing dancing with Ms. Johnson again.
"You've shown improvement. I'm proud of you Will." She said.
"Thanks." Will said. He took her hand and the two began to dance. Will and Ms. Johnson moved around the floor once a waltz song started.
Man after practicing this with my eyes closed in my imagination. I've even gotten better at dancing in the real world.
"OUCH!" Ms. Johnson cried. Will accidentally stepped on her again.
"Sorry!" Will cried.
Well, as you can see, I still have work to do before I can ask Leni to another dance.
Hours pass and Will and Ms. Johnson separated. Will began to leave but as he looked back to Ms. Johnson.
Will called her. "Hey uh, Agnes?" She paused and spun around looking at Will wide eyed.
Yeah I called her by her first name, I think she's earned it. Even if she marries my dad, she's not my mom. Although, I now feel good to have her with me.
Will said softly. "Thank you so much for helping me…..I'm glad that you're seeing my dad. I know you're right for him."
A tear ran down her cheek and she smiled back.
"Thank you Will." She responded. They both smiled at each other and Will turned and left to return home.
