Important info: Takes place 8 months after All Stars in whatever-the-hell Canada.
It was 8pm and a certain blond was sitting on a park bench watching the sunset. This was something she use to do with her now ex-boyfriend Tyler. It use to be her favorite way to end the day. Now it was just a sad memory of losing her love. She was certain that she was the only person at the park this late, so she didn't notice when someone had walked up to where she was sitting.
"Lindsay? Is that you?" A voice was heard, surprising the blond out of her thoughts. She looked up at the speaker, who turned out to be a former Total Drama competitor with a green mohawk.
"Duncan?" She said in shock. She didn't expect to see Duncan here of all places. He nodded and sat down next to her on the bench.
"Been awhile hasn't it?" He said.
"Yeah, since the first episode of that All Stars season." She said before asking. "What are you doing here?"
"My folks live in this area." He said. "Sometimes I like to take a little night stroll to clear my mind."
"But like, didn't you go to jail?" She asked him.
"I got out about a mouth or so ago. I was able to get an early release for good behavior and ny folk took me back in." Duncan explained.
"Oh, good for you." Lindsay said.
"What about you? Why are you out here so late?"
"Oh, I like to come out and watch the sunset. It's always a beautiful thing to see." Lindsay responded turning back to the sunset. While she had a smile in her face, Duncan could tell that it looked a bit more forced once she turned back to the sunset.
"Are you alright Lindsay?" He asked. "You looked pretty down before I came here."
Lindsay turned her head away slightly. "I'm fine." She said quietly.
Duncan couldn't see, but he could hear Lindsay sniffling. Was she crying?
"Lindsay?" Duncan said in concern as he puts a hand on her shoulder.
She still has her head turned away. "I use to come here with Tyler to watch the sunset with him." She spoke, her voice just above a whisper.
"Oh, well why isn't he here now?" Duncan asked.
Lindsay finally turned her head. Duncan can see the tears running down her cheek.
"He broke up with me."
Duncan was shocked. He'd always thought that Lindsay and Tyler were one of the strongest lasting couples on the show. Sure neither of them were the smartest, but they were still crazy for each other.
"Why would he break up with you?" He asked.
"Because I kept forgetting his name again. This time in front of his parents. He said that he's put up with me forgetting his name for too long and broke up with me. I mean, why wouldn't he? I'm just a dumb blond who couldn't remember my iwn boyfriend's name until after he dumps me." Lindsay explained.
Lindsay started crying again. Duncan didn't really know what to say. He'd never been the best at comforting people, so the best thing he can do right now his give Lindsay a hug. Once he did, she immediately hugged back and cried softly on his shoulder. Duncan just patted her back and stayed quite. Eventually, Lindsay's crying came to a stop. This was Duncan's cue to speak.
"Lindsay, Tyler doesn't know what he's missing out on. You may not be the smartest, but you're not dumb. You're kind, beautiful, and always know how to brighten a room. Anyone would be lucky to have you." Duncan said, still hugging her. "Plus, you're not the only one who's been dumped for one mistake or another. At least your's wasn't on tv." Lindsay giggled a bit and broke the hug.
"I guess you're right. I don't need Tyler to be happy. Thank you Duncan. You really cheered me up."
"No problem Lindsay. Guess prison can really change a guy." Duncan said smiling. The two stare into each other's eyes for what feels like an eternity, until the two close their eyes and slowly close the distance between their lips. Their lips connect and they both share a kiss with each other. Once they break apart, their both blushing. They wanted to say something, but no words needed to be said. They both turn back towards the setting sun, with Lindsay's head leaning on Duncan's shoulder as he has an arm wrapped around her. To Lindsay, the sunset wasn't as sad of a memory anymore, because now she has someone else to share it with.
Always love a good Duncan x Lindsay story.
