When Lightning Meets Snow.

Author's Note: This is my First Fanfic so pls don't judge too harshly. Also grammar is not my strong suit. This is in an alternate universe where the Characters from the show are the same and the overall plot is changed a lot but some elements are the same. Also Barry does not travel back in time resulting in Flashpoint never being created.
Chapter One: Old friends, New enemies.
Friday May 30th 6 days after the defeat of Zoom
Time: 03:07 Am
Location: Barry's Apartment
Barry stared up at the ceiling of his apartment unable to sleep. Ever since the night he raced Zoom and almost gave him what he wanted he felt as if he had betrayed his friends. Speaking of his friends Barry thought that if he looked back at all the fun they had in the past 2 years he would feel better. Barry looked through his phone and then found a video of him and Caitlin playing the game operation while he was simultaneously playing chess with Wells, and pingpong with Cisco.
He smiled to himself as he watched the part where he was playing operation and winning against Caitlin. Barry had always liked Caitlin and thought of her as his best friend, but hoped that one day it would be something more. While Barry would never admit it to anyone he did have a crush on her and he was pretty sure that she had one on him, but he was concerned that she was still getting over Jay or shall I say Zoom.
Barry fell asleep after he put his phone back on the nightstand and rolled over. About 3 hours later he got up, took a shower, ate breakfast, and went to CCPD.
He walked past everyone on the way to his lab, saying hi to everyone. He walked into the lab and was shocked to see a mysterious figure wearing a black trenchcoat and fedora.
"Can I help you, sir." Barry said as he approached the figure with caution.
"Are you Barry Allen?" The figure asked calmly, not turning his attention from the window.
"Yes and can I help you, because if not then I am going to have to ask you to leave." Barry said a little confused about who this could be
The figure turned to Allen but the thing is, his face was well… It wasn't even a face, it was a ball of thick black smoke in the shape of a human head with two glowing, red eyes.
"Meet me on the roof of warehouse number seventeen at the docks." The figure then calmly turned to leave.
"What Time?" Barry asked, trying to sound stern, but the truth was Barry was terrified and he didn't know why.
"Ten Pm" The figure said before disappearing in a cloud of smoke that soon evaporated.
Time: 1700 Hours
Location S.T.A.R. Labs in the Cortex
"Who even is this guy?" Caitlin asked, looking over at Barry. Just the sight of Barry was enough to get her in a good mood. The reason Caitlin never said anything to Barry was because she never thought he was interested but lately he has been extra friendly towards her. So now Caitlin was beginning to change her mind. She always thought he was cute, especially when his hair got messy from running around.
"I know we can call him, drumroll please…." Cisco said as he tapped on the desk. "The Shadow!" Cisco said with enthusiasm. Barry and Caitlin let out a laugh.
"He told me to meet him on the roof of warehouse number seventeen, at Ten PM." Barry said to the two.
The three then talked for the next few hours, laughing and joking the entire time until it was 09:45 pm
"I better get suited up," Barry said as he put on his suit.
" Be careful, Barry." Caitlin Said as she hugged him tightly.
" Don't worry I'll be fine" He said, hugging her back. Then he was off, running through the pouring rain and dodging cars as he made his way to the docks and on top of the warehouse.
" Do you guys see anything?" he asked through the radio.
" I am seeing blips of heat moving closer to you from the southwest of your position." Cisco said. "Three… two… one… He should be there." Cisco said.
And like fucking clockwork he was there.
A puff of Black smoke and Shadow was there, staring down Barry.
" I have a proposal for you, Flash."
"And what is that?"
" Straight to business, I like it" Shadow said. "Well Mr Allen it turns out that underneath this beautiful city that practically worships you, there is a shit-ton of Titanium and Uranium 235 That would be perfect for what I am building." Shadow was almost out of breath despite being a bundle of smoke.
" Well as fate would have it, it's not that easy." Barry said in his usual back mouthing way.
"I figured you would say that" Shadow said as he then teleported behind Barry and had him on the ground before Barry could even tell what was happening.
" I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU FORTY EIGHT HOURS TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND OR I WILL BEAT YOU TO A PULP." Shadow then, with the force to break a normal human's skull, punched the Flash a few times, breaking Barry's nose in the process, before teleporting off.
Back at the lab Caitlin screams as she watches this through the camera in the mask. Cisco is then left in shock. Then there is a flash of lightning and Barry is back in the lab.
"Some help please." Barry says before passing out on the floor. Caitlin and Cisco run over to Barry and rush him into the med bay. They hook him up to a few monitors and Caitlin begins to run a few tests on him to make sure he is "ok."
" Well, what's his condition?" Cisco asks as he hooks Barry up to the things Caitlin told him to. "Well he has a broken nose and he also has a few sprained ribs and one fractured rib. No internal bleeding or concussions." Caitlin Said, reading the monitors, It hurt Caitlin seeing Barry unconscious and covered in blood, but she knew that he would be ok.
