There are three things that Thanagarians treasure above all else, making a name for themselves in battle, battle, and family. Hawkgirl has been living on Earth for seven years when she and her fellow "sidekicks" discover a clone of Superman and form a team of their own. She's not sure how they ended up where they are, but she does know that she's in for a hell of of a fight.

29. Rewrite Update - Finished, I am a Husk

Long time no see, I guess?

First of all, I'd like to personally, once again, thank everyone who checked in on my well being during my writing fervor. If I was a slightly smarter individual, I would have updated the chapter rewrites periodically so you all at least had something.

But now you have, well...

I think I might have gotten carried away?

Because the original Fight or Flight was 204, 461 words, including author's notes.

Without author's notes, we're sitting at 218,126. Without author's notes apart from a couple of brief content warnings.

All chapters up to and including the most recent have been rewritten, and all previous update chapters have been scrubbed.

See why I was gone so long?

I know I thank you guys for sticking around a lot, but I feel like I really need to. I didn't necessarily have to go so in depth with this rewrite, but I feel like I owed it to myself and to you. When you write for a while, your style starts to change, you start to figure out things that work and things that don't, improvement is inevitable. And the glaring disconnect between the early chapters and the later was really starting to bother me.

I know you're all probably chomping at the bit for the next new chapter, but it'll still be a little bit. Now that the main story has been updated, I'd really like to go back and clean up some of the oneshots, as well as finish and publish some of the ones I have in-progress. But don't worry, it won't be half a year's wait until Fight or Flight continues. Hopefully.
