What a Bond truly means (Why does Impmon's partner care so much about Huckmon's Partner? The truth revealed.)
As the British group woke up the next day, they discovered that the Thai group had left during the night and they once again split off to explore Electronity and as Ian, Paul and Keith explored a sector which looked like a massive beehive, Impmon started to finally admit to himself that something was going on with Ian, as he seemed to be obsessing over Paul to a very unhealthy degree and that was making him very uncomfortable. Impmon finally decided that after lunch he'd finally ask him what was going on.
After lunch Impmon kept trying to get some one-on-one time with Ian but it was nearly impossible with his shadowing over Paul that was also causing Paul discomfort as well. When the group decided where they were going to go, Impmon decided to finally confront Ian despite how uncomfortable that was over him. During the night, Impmon left the hotel and made sure that Ian could hear him and when they went to an area of the sector, which was in a sense an outlook post, Impmon finally let his feelings out.
"Ian, what da heck's going on? I know ya care bout P-man but dis is just, not comforting at all." "I need to keep Paul safe, no matter what happens." "…I need to finally ask dis, but since I've been cooped up in da Digivice all the time when youse are home but, what's your connection with Paul? You two are certainly not related, since well, your, um, how I can this dis nicely, not the same colour as Paul." Ian remained completely silent for a minute and he finally spoke, "My parents were born in Africa and moved in Britain when they were really young, dad was four and mum was apparently two months old, they met in college and got married after they graduated, my older siblings Sebastian and Josie were born within a year or two of each other and because of a young families… thingies, they had to move around a lot and I was born uniquely whilst we were planning on moving again and after the next move, I was 4 months old and we had a good impact on our neighbours when Pauls' mum needed to go to the hospital and their car had broken down and so, both me and Paul have been basically siblings since then." Paul spoke with a smile on his face and slowly he tried to hide tears slowly appearing near his eyes and he took a deep breath and continued "About a year or so ago, Paul came down with a really bad cold and afterwards something, just seemed off about him, he was so pale and barely touching his food, when he went into hospital for a check up we found out what happened, he'd come down with something called Leukaemia, thankfully they found it out really early so he'd be cured of it but because he had to have a lot of time focused on him being cured, when those 'important' tests came around he wasn't ready at all, and I knew exactly what I had to do, passing those tests were nothing in comparison to making sure that Paul was safe."
"So dat explains it, you're certainly brave and a great brother." Ian smiled as Impmon continued "But here's da thing Ian, you're making him terrified of basically anything and well, ya gonna need to give him some space, otherwise he ain't gonna be strong at all, think it over will ya." Impmon left leaving Ian on his own.
