Courtney woke up and felt satisfied. Which was strange cause Abraham hasn't made her satisfied in a long long time.

She rolled over to see Duncan was not in the room. Confused she sat up holding the blankets to her chest.

She looked and saw her phone on the end table.

She saw 3 missed calls from Abraham.

Rolling her eyes she put her phone down.

Duncan just walked into the room with a towel and soap.

Courtney raised an eyebrow. "You think I smell?"

Duncan snorted. "Nah. I just thought you wouldn't want to go to your house smelling like sex. Since you know. Abraham and his friends are still there."

Courtney groaned. She was hoping they'd leave. Then the fact she had to go to work in 2 hours and 45 minutes. Plus she had to meet Bridgette and Geoff at the airport.

"Thanks I'll be out soon." She said getting up.

Duncan smirked but looked away respectfully.

"I'll be in my room," Duncan said before leaving her to it.

Courtney grabbed her old clothes and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

She looked at the soap and saw it was a vaginal-friendly soap. She was surprised. Men usually suck at shopping for women.

After 25 minutes she got out of the shower and put her old clothes on. God the walk of shame sucked.

Courtney did her best to finger comb her hair. She didn't want to walk into her apartment with sex hair.

After being satisfied with her reflection Courtney walked out to the living room and saw Duncan with two plates.

There was bacon, eggs, and toast. She definitely wasn't used to this treatment. Abraham couldn't cook to save his life.

"That looks good." She said feeling her stomach ache in hunger.

Duncan smirked. "Good cause we need to talk." He said before gesturing for her to sit on the couch.

He sat their plates down as she sat on the sofa.

"We're gonna have to hurry this. I can't stay long I have to get to work." Courtney informed him as she grabbed a fork full of food.

"I figured but I wanted to talk to you about last night." Duncan started.

Courtney felt herself get nervous. She wasn't dumb. Heather and Bridgette, and even Geoff talked about his womanizing ways. He's gonna tell her that he's not interested in having sex anymore and he thought she would take it better if she had food.

"I'm confused as to what you want. Was last night a one-time thing before you go back to being a 'faithful' wife?" He said saying faithfully in a tone she got annoyed with.

"Or do you want to keep this sex thing going? Or do you wanna back out and act like none of this ever happened?" Duncan asked.

Courtney felt relieved. "Well, I was thinking we can keep this going. But I don't want anyone to know. Not a soul."

She tried her best to push the guilty feeling she had in the back of her mind.

Duncan took a bite of his toast. " does anyone know already?"

Courtney smiled sheepishly. "Well, Bridgette and Heather know. So I'm guessing if they know-"

"Geoff and Alejandro know." Duncan finished nodding.

"Yes. But they will not know about the sex from last night. Nor will they know about anything after." Courtney said with her mind made up. It's not that she didn't trust them to keep it a secret. She just didn't want to be judged, lectured, or constantly reminded about this deceiving choice she was making.

Courtney just wanted it to be just between Duncan and her.

Duncan nodded.

"So how do you want this to work?" Courtney asked. One thing she knew is she wanted it to be strictly them two having sex. She didn't want him having sex with anybody else. Who knows who he was having sex with and if they were clean.

"Well, we're clean and stuff. We can do it whenever. Do you have any rules? One rule I have is I want this to be exclusive. I'm the only one besides Abraham to have sex with you." Duncan said.

Courtney was glad he was thinking the same thing.

" I agree. can get I your number?" She asked taking out her phone.

Duncan smirked. " aren't you worried about Abraham seeing me text?"

Courtney snorted " he doesn't know my password and I can just ask everyone for their numbers and make a group chat. That way if anyone did see I have your number it's a good reason." Courtney shrugged.

Duncan gave her his number before shaking his head "I always knew miss. goody goody had a dark side,"

She finished her food and rolled her eyes. " shut up Duncan. Thank you for this delicious edible breakfast. I'll text you when I feel like it." She said standing up.

Duncan nodded. She turned around and headed to the door when he called out. "Oh and princess."

Courtney turned looking at him expectantly.

"I hope you have a high sex drive like me." He smirked standing in his living room.

Courtney smirked back leaving her face to answer it all before heading out the door.

Duncan continued standing there and sighed. "She's gonna be wild. The good ones always are." He spoke his thoughts out loud.

Meanwhile, Courtney stepped up to her door and went inside. She saw the guys sitting on the couch talking. Her entrance got their attention.

"Hey, sugar," Abraham said standing up.

She gave him a fake smile. "Hi, babe." She said forcing the affectionate word.

"Your bed hair looks like you just had an orgy with your friends." One of his friends snickered making his other friends laugh.

Courtney's fake smile went flat immediately and she walked into the room.

She briefly heard Abe's voice scolding his friends before walking to their bedroom where Courtney was getting ready.

"Courtney."

"I don't like when your friends are here. They're so rude and intrusive. Plus super obnoxious." Courtney said grabbing a skirt and a shirt from out of her closet.

"I know and I'll talk to them."

Courtney frowned and faced him as she got dressed. "You say that every time! I want them gone by the time I come home."

She got really frustrated when she realized Abraham wasn't listening to her. Instead, he was staring at her body.

"Hello?!" She snapped pulling her pencil skirt up.

"Yeah, I heard you."

"I mean it. They better be gone." Courtney glared.

"Okay okay.." He Answered. It was silent for a moment before he broke it.

"You're leaving early. Doesn't work start for another 2 hours?" Abraham asked with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Yeah, I have to meet Bridgette at the airport then go to work so yeah." She answered. She felt annoyed cause he had the nerve to question her when he was the one doing the cheating. Well now she was but that was besides the point.

"Okay, babe. So can we talk when you get home?" He said asked.

Courtney nodded before walking to the bathroom." Yeah, I'll be home around six. But yeah we can talk. I wanna talk about something with you too." She lied.

She didn't have anything she wanted to talk about but she needed to keep up the charade.

She brushed her hair and flat ironed it making sure her hair was pin straight before looking over herself. All she needed was shoes.

She stepped out to see abe waiting for her.

He looked her up and down again and smiled "you look great."

"Thanks." She said grabbing her shoes. Abraham came up from behind her and kissed her neck.

Courtney heard sirens going off as she moved out the way.

"Hey, you smell different." He said looking at her annoyed that she pulled away.

"Oh well, I showered at heathers this morning. And she had this soap she wanted me to try." Courtney lied smoothly before grabbing her bag. She didn't know he even cared or paid attention to the soaps she used.

"Oh okay. Well, it smells nice." He shrugged.

"Thanks. Well, I'm off. I'll see you after." She said before walking away. She promptly ignored his friends as she left out the door.

Courtney sat at her desk. She was on her break. She had 4 back to back appointments today and she mentally was not in the conversation. Her mind was elsewhere. Her handsome neighbor. She bit her lip as she thought about him. He was so much better in bed than Abraham ever was.

She then realized she needed to pack a spare bag in her car. One with work clothes a mini flat iron and things she needed.

Of course, she'd have to keep that a secret from Abraham.

Her mind snapped out of her thoughts when her phone began to ring.

Looking down she saw it was her best friend.

Answering the call she propped her phone up so they could see her.

"Okay tell us. Did you guys have sex?" Heather asked getting to the point.

She was surprised they didn't ask about it earlier but then realized they were both busy and their mind was elsewhere. Bridgette was with Geoff and making sure they had everything for the flight and Heather making sure everything was for the two while being on the phone with her boss.

Courtney rolled her eyes. "No. I said it was going to be a one-time thing."

"Oh come on you wanted to. There's no wa-"

"I didn't do it cause I don't want to be him okay. I just want to change and get things over with you know who. Then I'll see" Courtney lied grabbing her lunch.

Bridgette smiled proudly. "Even though you have good reasons to do the wrong thing, I'm glad you are doing the right thing."

Once again the guilt began to bubble in her gut but she ignored it.

Heather scoffed. "So how long is it gonna take for you to divorce dipshit?"

Courtney checked her watch seeing how much time she had till that 4:30 appointment.

"Well, I'm waiting for the court to call when they have the papers. I can't have it mailed to the house. Then I also have to wait for the moving process. So probably like a month." Courtney answered. She couldn't wait to get out of this dead-end marriage.

"Well keep us updated. I can't wait to see that hillbilly's face after you serve those papers." Heather said before filing her nails.

Courtney smiled. "Same"

"But all that aside. Are you okay Courtney? I know divorce isn't easy." Bridgette asked her Bestfriend. She went through divorce with her parents. Divorcing growing up and she knew it wasn't easy.

Courtney shrugged. "I'm hurt and upset also very very angry. But I'll get through it. To be honest most of my feelings for him died when I found out he cheated the first time. I've been trying to bring back this spark and such and it wasn't seeming to get anywhere. So honestly it feels good. It's just kinda weird thinking about it I guess."

Bridgette nodded and Heather frowned. She felt bad for her Bestfriend. She remembered when she first found out that he was cheating on her. She was a wreck. Emotionally mentally and physically.

"Mallory. We have Stephanie here for her 4:30 appointment. They're requesting you come down?" Her assistant secretary asked through the intercom she had on her desk.

"Tell them I'm on my way," Courtney said before putting her lunch away.

"Okay we'll talk later," Courtney told them.

"Alright, I'll text you when we're boarding and text you when I get off my flight," Bridgette said.

"Alright have a good flight. And I'll text you later courtney." Heather added.

Once they all said goodbye Courtney headed downstairs.

She saw Stephanie and both her parents. She walked over to them and smiled "good afternoon." Courtney greeted

"Good afternoon. I know she usually comes up but we wanted to talk to you for a second. About the session, we're supposed to have tomorrow?" Stephanie's mom asked.

"Oh sure do you all want to come to my office?"

"No no, it's okay. We just wanted to ask if we can make it today after stephs session. I know it's short notice but stuff popped up and we won't be free till next week." Her father explained.

Courtney bit her inner cheek thinking about her schedule for today. She was supposed to use the time she had after to go to the store before another meeting.

"If you can't we-" her mother started worried seeing Courtney's hesitant face.

"No, I can squeeze you in do not worry," Courtney assured them deciding just to go to the store after she gets off.

"Okay great thank you so much." Her father said appreciatively.

"Of course and times ticking so we should get going so you'll have enough to have a session.

————————

30 minutes went by and Courtney realized Stephanie still wasn't going to open up so easily. She was way more relaxed than When she first came.

However, one thing she did notice was that something on her phone was making her upset. She kept texting and checking her phone.

"Are you alright? It seems like something on your phone is bothering you." Courtney questioned looking at the blonde-haired teen.

"No. I'm just losing money in this game thing ." Stephanie answered dismissively.

Courtney knew she was lying so she decided to dig a little deeper.

"Oh, what game? And how long have you been playing it."

Stephanie blinked clearly not expecting Courtney to question her lie. "Bakery story...and for a few years"

Courtney nodded. "I see it affects your mood a lot."

Stephanie just sighed.

"I know it's hard opening up. But I promise there's no judgment. No scolding. This is a friendly environment and like I said before. Everything stays between us." Courtney reassured her.

Stephanie bit her lip before caving in. " it's my boyfriend. I lied to you before about having one, we've been together for 1 year. We're arguing right now."

"What are you guys fighting about?" Courtney asked.

"Cause I can't hang out with him right now. So he thinks I'm cheating. These stupid girls at school started a rumor a few days ago about me having sex with someone in the janitor's closet." Stephanie explained upset.

Courtney frowned. "Did he believe it?"

"At first he did. He dumped me till I convinced him otherwise and he took me back the next day but now he's been acting super frosty..." Stephanie sighed.

"How long has his cold behavior been going on for?"

"Well for a while but it's gotten worse cause of that stupid ass rumor. But before he'd get upset over small misunderstandings and stuff." The blonde teen answered.

"It seems he gets upset a lot. Do you know why he does this? " Courtney questioned her writing in her notebook.

"I-it's because of his family. He's adopted and been in a lot of messed-up situations. So I'm willing to accept him as the broken person he is cause he still treats me right." The blonde answers.

Courtney mentally sighed. That's never a good thing to hear from women.

"Well, I will say some people can be mentally not be ready to date because they cannot healthily or properly express themselves or they have insecurities or worries they self project out onto their significant other. These things can be huge red flags." Courtney advised.

"That may be for others. But for him, that's not the case he's so beautiful. He's so kind and generous. And he's always been there for me." Stephanie defended.

Courtney knew she was getting standoffish plus she was in denial.

Courtney just nodded." Then I must've misunderstood the situation. Tell me more about your relationship to help me understand better?"

————————

20 minutes later and Courtney was walking Stephanie downstairs. She felt a lot better talking to Courtney about what was going on. However, Courtney noticed the more and more she talked the more she realized what a narcissistic person she was dating.

"Alright, I'll see you at your next session. But I will be doing a session with just your parents. Then one with both of you together. Don't worry though we'll have solo sessions still. This is just for us all to come to an understanding of what's going on and what you or your parents need to work on." Courtney explained as she opened the door to the lobby.

"So are you allowed to tell me what goes on in their session?"

"Nope unless they allow me same with you. And I'm also assuming your secret is to stay a secret?" Courtney asked quietly as they walked up to her parents.

Stephanie immediately caught on to what she was saying and nodded. "Please."

Her parents looked over and saw them approach them in the lobby chairs. "Hi, honey how was your session?" Her mom asked.

"Yeah, any tips before I go in?" Her dad joked.

"It was great. I feel a lot better. And just be honest it really helps." Stephanie said looking at Courtney with a smile.

Courtney smiled back.

"Ready to go home Steph. I'm your cab home today till your parents get done." A voice said behind her.

Quickly recognizing the voice Courtney turned to face the voice praying it wasn't who she thought it was.

But she was wrong. Duncan stood there in his glory.

Duncan smirked at her and Courtney frowned at him. What he was he doing here?!

"Oh, Courtney this is Duncan. He's Toby's Bestfriend. He's kinda like an uncle/godfather." The mom said introducing Duncan.

"Yeah, I met her when I picked her up last Rebecca," Duncan replied with his smirk still continuing.

Courtney missed the glance Stephanie gave her mom cause she was trying to tell herself to calm down. Then she missed Rebecca's face of realization when her mom realized something when she cleared her throat.

"Yeah, I saw him last time. But anyway I think we should get going to our appointment." She said looking at her watch. They needed to start now so she'd have time for her last 2 clients.

"You're right lead the way!" Toby said.

Courtney missed the coy look Rebecca gave toby And Courtney also missed the warning look that sad "leave it alone".

Once she led them into her office all 3 parties sat down.

"So I would like to say now everything and I mean everything you say in here is confidential. However if you say or have actions that put you or there's in danger, or abusive in any way I am to report it because I am a mandated reporter. Stephanie will not know anything you say unless you permit me that it's okay." Courtney informed them.

Both adults nodded.

Courtney chose this as a sign to go on.

"This session will be 45 minutes long and it should start now." The therapist stated.
