And here's what you missed on Glee:

Sam's hard work and dedication to the Glee Club might be coming to an end as New Direction is facing retention issues. With the hopes of restoring the club to its former glory he begins to recruit new voices within the halls of William McKinley. Meanwhile, Grace learns as part of her probation she must commit to doing community services leading her to Lima Ohio. Also, there's some really weird tension between Autumn and Elena. Yikes!

And that's what you missed on Glee!

Elena leads Autumn to her bedroom. The girls throw their bookbags across the room as Autumn lunges onto the bed. Elena plays some music and dances in the mirror.

Autumn says, "I can't believe I made captain of the Cheerios."

Elena's dancing becomes less enthusiastic as she starts to zone out, looking at Autumn's reflection in the mirror. Autumn notices Elena's distraction and steps behind her, resting her head on Elena's shoulder. They both look at themselves in the mirror.

"You seem a little far away," Autumn says.

Elena smiles and takes Autumn's hand, ready to confess. "You know, Autumn, you're the most stubborn and frustrating person I have ever met. You make fun of me all the time. You're always telling me I'm wrong, especially when it comes to cheering. But you see the real me, the girl I try so hard to hide, and you like her."

Autumn looks at Elena with a puzzled expression but then smiles and says, "That's because I know the real you, Elena. And I love that girl."

Elena's heart swells with emotion, and she takes a step closer to Autumn. "Sometimes you make me feel special. And I'm scared that if I ever lose you, I won't feel that way again."

Autumn doesn't know how to feel or react. She's never thought of Elena in that way before. Before she can say anything, Elena leans in and kisses her. Autumn is taken aback and doesn't return the kiss.

Elena pulls away, looking at Autumn with a mix of fear and hope in her eyes. "Please don't say anything. School starts in another week. We can talk then."

Autumn nods, still processing what just happened. Elena hands her the bookbag, and Autumn leaves the room quietly. Elena stands in the middle of the room, feeling a mix of excitement and uncertainty, wondering what the future holds for her and Autumn.

Elena sat cross-legged in the middle of her bed, strumming her guitar and singing softly as Taylor Swift's "The 1" begins to play.

She closed her eyes and let the music wash over her as she began to sing:

Elena:

I have this dream you're doing cool stuff

Having adventures on your own

You meet some woman on the internet and take her home

We never painted by the numbers, baby

But we were making it count

You know the greatest loves of all time are over now

I guess you never know, never know

And it's another day waking up alone

But we were something, don't you think so?

Roaring twenties, tossing pennies in the pool

And if my wishes came true

It would've been you

In my defense, I have none

For never leaving well enough alone

But it would've been fun

If you would've been the one

I, I, I persist and resist the temptation to ask you

If one thing had been different

Would everything be different today?

We were something, don't you think so?

Rosé flowing with your chosen family

And it would've been sweet

If it could've been me

In my defense, I have none

For digging up the grave another time

But it would've been fun

If you would've been the one

(Ooh)

Elena smiled to herself, feeling a little silly but also excited at the possibility of what could be.

We return to the present day in the choir room. New Direction members are beginning to file in. May takes a seat next to Chase, but he grabs his things and moves to another open seat, not wanting to be bothered.

Sam stood front and center of the choir room, marker in hand, ready to write on the board. He wrote the words "Status Quo" in big, bold letters.

"Alright, guys," Sam said, turning to face the New Directions. "We need to talk about where we stand at McKinley High."

Mickey rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath, "We all know we're at the bottom of the totem pole."

Sam shot Mickey a look, but continued on, "But you know what? We've been there before, and we've overcome it. We can do it again."

Mickey raised an eyebrow and said, "Are you sure we're ready for that? I mean, we're half the size of Duly Noted."

Sam sighed and said, "That's correct, which brings me to my next point. I would like everyone to help me welcome Elena Vega!"

Elena sprinted into the classroom with a smile, but her enthusiasm was quickly dampened when she saw Chase, who sat in the back of the room, looking uninterested.

Sam cleared his throat and said, "Let's stick to songs that everyone can understand, Dallas."

Mickey snickered and muttered, "Good luck with that."

Autumn sat behind Chase, and the two of them shared a glance as Elena made her way to the front of the room.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, Coach Evans," Elena said, addressing Sam. "As the newly appointed Cheerios captain, I will make sure that New Direction not only sounds good, but also out-dances the best show choirs in Ohio."

Dallas piped up with his thick country accent, "Well, if we're performing at the pep rally, I reckon I have just the song to get the crowd moving."

Sam cleared his throat and said, "Let's stick to songs that everyone can understand, Dallas."

Mickey snickered and muttered, "Good luck with that."

Dallas pointed to the band as he made his way to the middle of the room. The band began to play "Fake ID" by Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson.

The New Directions members looked at each other, unsure of what to do at first. But then, they started to move to the beat. They started to dance and sing, each one bringing their unique style to the performance.

Dallas:

Hey, I've been driving all over the town

On my cellphone wearin' it out

And I finally tracked you down

Hey, everybody says you're the man

The final piece to my master plan

You got my world in the palm of your hand

Well I know that you got it

Come on and just sell it

Got the cash up in my pocket

You know I gotta get it

Sam and Dallas pick up some guitars and begins to jam out with the band as the music picks up. Elena begins to line dance along with the song. The rest of the New Directions members followed suit, putting on a show that would rival any of the best show choirs in Ohio.

Dallas and Sam:

Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID

There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see

I got my money and you got what I need

Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID

Dallas moves through the choir room commanding the audience. Autumn and Chase elect to watch from their seats.

Sam:

Hey, don't even think about tellin' me no

It's only twenty minutes 'till the show

Hey mister turn it over let's go

No, I ain't gonna need a receipt

Just make sure that it looks like me

So the bouncer don't call the police

And don't tell my daddy
Stole the keys to his caddy
Don't dilly dally
I gotta get the hell out of this alley

Grace appears in the choir room doorway. She watches in amazement as Sam perform and the fun the kids are having dancing around the room. May runs over to Chase pulling him out of the chair to dance with her. Chase tries to fight his smile, but he couldn't help but dance along.

Dallas and Sam with Grace:

Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID

There's a band in the bar that I'm dying to see

I got my money and you got what I need

Hey mister won't you sell me a fake ID

Sam with Grace:

Here's my money, now get out of my way
Gonna push my luck right up to the stage

The school bell rings, signaling the end of their choir practice. The New Direction members start to pack up their things and exit the choir room, chatting and laughing as they go. May rushes to catch up with Chase, calling his name repeatedly to get his attention. But Chase ignores her, lost in his own thoughts.

Finally, May mentions offhandedly that she saw him sleeping in the choir room the other day. This catches Chase's attention, and he turns to her with a scowl on his face. "What's it to you?" he snaps. "Mind your own business."

May is taken aback by his harshness, but she doesn't back down. "I just wanted to make sure everything was okay," she says, trying to sound conciliatory. "Is there something going on that you want to talk about?"

Chase shakes his head and walks away, leaving May standing alone in the hallway. She watches him go, feeling frustrated and confused. She doesn't understand why Chase is being so distant and defensive, but she knows she won't give up until she finds out the truth.

Elena spotted Autumn walking down the hallway and rushed to catch up with her.

"Hey Autumn! Wait up!" Elena called out.

Autumn slowed down but didn't turn around to face Elena. "Hey," she replied, her voice low and monotone.

Elena tried to make small talk. "How's it going? I haven't seen you in school in a while."

Autumn remained non-responsive, staring down at her phone.

"What's going on, Autumn? Why are you ignoring me?" Elena asked, growing increasingly frustrated.

Autumn took a deep breath and turned around to face Elena. She knew she couldn't avoid this conversation any longer. "Elena, we need to talk about what happened over the summer," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Elena's heart sank. She knew exactly what Autumn was referring to. "What are you talking about?" she asked, feigning ignorance.

"You know what I'm talking about, Elena. That kiss. We haven't spoken since then," Autumn said, her eyes locked onto Elena's.

"Oh. That," Elena said, her voice barely audible.

"Yes, that. Elena, I don't feel the same way you do. I don't want to lead you on or send the wrong message. I think it's best if we just stay friends," Autumn said firmly.

Elena felt a lump form in her throat. She knew deep down that Autumn didn't feel the same way, but hearing it out loud stung.

"I understand. I just miss our friendship, you know? It's been so awkward ever since that night," Elena said, her voice trembling.

"I know, me too. But I just need some time to process everything," Autumn said, her voice softening slightly.

"I get it. I just hope we can still be friends," Elena said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Of course. But it might take some time," Autumn said, her eyes filled with sadness.

The awkward silence between them was palpable. Elena didn't know how to act around Autumn anymore, and Autumn was struggling to find the right words to say.

"I should probably go. I'll see you around?" Elena said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, see you," Autumn replied, her voice barely audible.

Elena walked away, feeling vulnerable and exposed. She didn't know how to move forward with Autumn now that everything was out in the open. Autumn stood there, watching Elena walk away, feeling the weight of their strained friendship.

May walks into the dimly lit tavern, her eyes adjusting to the darkness as she looked around at the shady characters huddled around the bar. Her heart was pounding as she showed a picture around until one of the patrons pointed to the bar. May's heart sank as she saw April Rhodes sitting at the bar, drunk as a skunk and flirting shamelessly with the bartender.

As May approached, April turned to her with bleary eyes and a wide grin. "Well, well, well, look who it is! Little Miss Sunshine herself!" April slurred.

Ignoring the jibe, May took a seat to watch April perform.

She was mesmerized by how sober April seemed when performing. She had heard stories of her April's legendary performances, but had never actually seen her in action.

Bartender:

I'd like to propose a toast

April raises her glass as the spotlight hits her center stage. She's suddenly wearing a red dress.

April:

Here's to the ladies who lunch

Everybody laugh

Lounging in their caftans and planning a brunch

On their own behalf

Off to the gym, then to a fitting

Claiming they're fat

And looking grim 'cause they've been sitting

Choosing a hat

Does anyone still wear a hat?

The drunken audience begin to laugh as the piano joins in. April begins to utilize the stage creating a funny and powerful performance.

April:

I'll drink to that

Here's to the girls who stay smart

Aren't they a gas?

Rushing to their classes in optical art

Wishing it would pass

Another long exhausting day

Another thousand dollars

A matinée, a Pinter play

Perhaps a piece of Mahler's

I'll drink to that

And one for Mahler

May rises from her seat and approaches the stage. She's envisioning herself performing on the big stage with April.

May:

And here's to the girls who just watch

Aren't they the best?

When they get depressed, it's a bottle of Scotch

Plus a little jest

Another chance to disapprove

Another brilliant zinger

Another reason not to move

Another vodka stinger

I'll drink to that

So here's to the girls on the go

Everybody tries

Look into their eyes and you'll see what they know

Everybody dies

A toast to that invincible bunch

The dinosaurs surviving the crunch

Let's hear it for the ladies who lunch

April:

Everybody rise, rise

Rise, rise

Rise, rise

Rise, rise

Rise

As April finished her song, she stumbled off the stage and nearly fell over.

May rushed over to help her, guiding her to a chair and offering her a glass of water.

April looked up at May and squinted, as if trying to place her face. "You look familiar. Have we met before?"

May took a deep breath and finally found the courage to reveal the truth. "April, I'm your daughter."

April's eyes widened as she tried to process the information. "What? That's impossible. I don't have a daughter."

May felt her heart sink as she realized that April didn't believe her. "It's true, April. I've been searching for you for years."

April let out a laugh. "You expect me to believe that? I don't even remember having a child."

May felt tears streaming down her face as she realized that her mother didn't remember her. She had been so sure that finding April would solve all her problems, but now she felt more lost than ever.

"I'm sorry, May. I don't know what to say," April said, her voice softening slightly.

May nodded, feeling a lump form in her throat. She knew that this was a long shot, but she had hoped that finally meeting her mother would fill the void in her life.

"I should probably go," May said, her voice barely above a whisper.

April watched as May walked away, feeling a pang of regret as she realized that she may have just let her daughter slip away.

Nathen and Mickey were standing at Nathen's locker, discussing the upcoming New Direction performance. They were going through the choreography, and Nathen was trying to get Mickey to understand the moves.

Suddenly, they were interrupted by Apollo, who came up to Nathen and greeted him with a kiss. Mickey was so starstruck by Apollo that he didn't even notice the couple's kiss. He just stood there, staring at Apollo in awe.

"Hey, Apollo," Nathan replied, smiling back.

Mickey was still in awe of Apollo's presence, so he didn't say anything. Suddenly, Kendall "Kenny" Parker, a tomboyish student, arrived and took Mickey's hand. Apollo and Nathen were surprised to see Mickey with Kenny, as they had never seen them together before.

"Hey, guys," Kenny said, staring at the ground.

"You guys know each other?" Nathen asked, looking at Mickey and Kenny.

After a few moments of silence, Mickey spoke up, "Guys, I wanted to introduce you to my girlfriend, Kenny."

Apollo looked at Nathen, and Nathen shrugged. They could tell there was no romantic chemistry between Mickey and Kenny, but they didn't say anything.

"Anyway, we should get back to practice," Nathen said, turning to Apollo. "We're running out of time."

Apollo nodded and gave Nathen another quick kiss before walking away. Nathen turned back to Mickey and Kenny. As they said their goodbyes, Kenny told Mickey that she would see him later and left.

"Mickey, you never told me you had a girlfriend," Nathan said, grinning.

Mickey blushed, "Yeah, it's still new. We've only been dating for a few minutes."

Nathen smiled, "Well, congratulations. I'm happy for you."

Mickey grinned back, feeling grateful for his friend support.

May was sitting behind the stage, looking over the sheet music and preparing for her big New Directions debut performance. She was twirling the ends of her hair, lost in thought when she heard a familiar voice.

"May?" April said, walking towards her.

May turned around and saw April standing there. She was surprised to see that April was sober and seemed genuinely happy to see her. There was a hint of tension in the air, but May was somewhat excited to see her.

"April, hi," May said, trying to hide her surprise.

April approached her and said, "I see you're playing with your hair. I used to do that all the time when I was younger usually before a big performance."

There was a brief moment of silence between them, and May could feel the tension building up. April broke the silence, "May, maybe after the performance, we could have a proper talk? "

May was taken aback by the sincerity in April's voice. She was still holding onto hope of developing a relationship with her birth mother, but she was also cautious.

"I appreciate that, April," May said, trying to keep her emotions in check. "We could meet in the choir room."

April joked, "Is it the same classroom? I hope they've fixed the ventilation in there. Did you know students use to hallucinate in that room."

May smiled, feeling a bit more at ease. She was still cautious, but she was willing to give her birth mother another chance.

Sam stood in the center of the crowded room, surrounded by his fellow New Directions members. Chase, May, Autumn, Elena, Dallas, Mikey, Sarina, and Nathan all looked up at him with a mix of excitement and nervousness in their eyes. They were about to go out on stage and perform in front of a large audience, and Sam knew that they needed a little push to get them over the edge.

"Alright guys," Sam said, his voice strong and confident. "I know we're up against some tough competition, but we can't let that get to us. We've worked hard and we're ready to give it our all out there. Remember, we're the New Directions, and we're here to show everyone what we're made of."

The group nodded in agreement, and Sam continued. "Don't worry about the other show choirs. Just focus on doing your best. We've got this. And no matter what happens, we're going to go out there and have a great time."

The group let out a cheer, and everyone placed their hands in the middle of the circle. "New Directions show circle on three," Sam said. "One, two, three!"

"Aaaamazing!" the group shouted, their voices ringing out through the room.

With one last pep talk from Sam, the group headed out to the stage, ready to perform their hearts out. And as they stood there, under the bright lights, they knew they were ready to take on anything that came their way. They were the New Directions, and they were unstoppable.

Mikey steps center stage.

Mikey:

Dearly beloved

We are gathered here today to get through this thing called "life"

Electric world life, it means forever and that's a mighty long time, but I'm here to tell you

There's somethin' else: the afterworld

A world of never-ending happiness

You can always see the sun

Day or night

Mickey rushes to his spot as the band starts playing "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince and The Revolution.

New Directions:

Let's go crazy

Let's go crazy

Let's go crazy

Let's go crazy

May and Chase:

If you don't like

The world you're livin' in

Take a look around

Elena:

At least you got friеnds

Dallas:

You see I called my old lady

For a friendly word

She pickеd up the phone,

Dropped it on the floor

"Ah, ah" is all I heard

May and Chase:

Are we gonna let the elevator bring us down?

New Directions:

Oh, no, let's go!

May and Chase with New Directions:

Let's go crazy

Let's get nuts

Let's look for the purple banana

'Til they put us in the truck

New Directions:

Let's go!

Sarina (Nathen):

Oh, yeah, yeah (Yeah, yeah, yeah)

Yeah, yeah, oh, yeah, oh (Yeah, yeah)

Hey, yeah

Hey, yeah yeah

Autumn (New Direction Girls):

We're all excited (All excited)

Don't know why (Don't know why)

Maybe it's 'cause

We're all gonna die

Suddenly, the music stops and everyone falls down. The lights go dim and the crowd begins to murmur as Autumn looks around. Then, out of nowhere, everything resumes as New Directions rises from the ground, and the music continues. The crowd goes wild as they cheer and applaud the stunning performance.

Autumn (New Directions Girls):

When we do

What's it all for? (What's it all for?)

Better live now

Before the grim reaper comes knockin' on your door, tell me

Sarina and Nathen (with Autumn):

Are we gonna let the (elevator bring us down?)

New Directions:

Oh, no, let's go!

New Direction (May and Chase):

Let's go crazy (Let's go crazy)

New Direction (Autumn with Chase):

Let's get nuts (Let's get nuts)

New Direction (Sarina):

Look for the purple bananas

'Til they (put us in the drop)

Chase:

Let's go!

Mikey (Autumn):

Come on, baby

Let's get nuts

Yeah (Oh-oh)

Crazy

Chase and Autumn

Are we gonna let the elevator bring us down?

Oh, no, let's go!

New Directions (Autumn belting):

Let's go crazy (Let's go crazy)

Let's get nuts (Let's get nuts)

Let's look for the purple bananas (Let's look)

'Til they put us in the truck (Let's go)

Chase and May:

Dr. Everything'll-Be-Alright
Will make everything go wrong

Sarina:

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, woah
Yeah, yeah, let's go!

As the music faded, the auditorium was filled with silence. Suddenly, a burst of applause erupted and filled the room. New Directions stood on the stage in amazement, realizing that their hard work had paid off. May looked into the crowd and saw that April was giving them a standing ovation.

New Directions had just finished their performance, and they were ecstatic. Their hearts were racing with adrenaline as they ran off the stage and into the green room. Sam, their biggest supporter, entered the room and congratulated them on their excellent performance. As the members of New Directions started to disperse, Sam turned around and saw Grace standing there with a smile.

"Hey, great job out there, guys!" Sam said, beaming with pride.

"Thanks, !" the members of New Directions replied in unison.

Grace closed the door behind her and slowly approached Sam, her eyes fixed on him in a flirtatious manner.

"Hey, Sam," Grace said, her voice soft and sultry.

Sam couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked, and he felt a spark of attraction between them.

"Hi, Grace," Sam replied, smiling nervously.

The room was quiet except for the sound of their breathing as Grace wrapped her arms around Sam and planted a kiss on his lips. They stood there for a moment, lost in each other's eyes. Amii Stewart's "Knock on Wood" played in the background.

April walked into the choir room and saw Chase sitting alone with his guitar, lost in thought. She approached him and took a seat beside him.

"Hey there," April said, her voice light and flirtatious.

Chase looked up at her, his expression unreadable. "Hey," he said, his voice low and quiet.

April could tell that something was bothering him, and she wanted to help. She leaned in closer to him, her eyes fixed on his.

"Is everything okay?" April asked.

Chase sighed and looked away. "I don't know," he said. "I've just been feeling really down lately."

April nodded sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that," she said. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Chase shook his head. "I don't think so," he said. "I just need to figure things out on my own."

April was determined to cheer him up. She leaned in even closer and put a hand on his knee.

"Well, maybe I can help take your mind off things," April said, her voice low and seductive.

Chase looked at her, surprised by her sudden change in tone. He couldn't deny that he was attracted to her, but he didn't want to do anything that would hurt May.

"I don't know if that's a good idea," Chase said, his voice hesitant.

April leaned in even closer, her lips just inches from his. "Trust me," she whispered. "It'll be worth it."

They sat there for a moment, lost in each other's eyes. Amii Stewart's "Knock on Wood" played in the background.

The musical number is intercut between the Auditorium's Green Room and the Choir Room as both April and Grace perform simultaneously.

April sits on Chase's lap and runs her fingers through his hair.

April:

I don't want to lose you

This good thing, that I got

'Cause if I do, I will surely

Surely lose a lot

Grace pushes Sam down onto the couch. She takes a seat on his lap running her fingers through his hair.

Grace:

'Cause your love, is better

Than any love I know

It's like thunder, lightning

The way you love me is frightening

Oh you better knock, knock

April and Grace lock eyes with a look of intense desire.

April and Grace:

On wood, baby

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh baby

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Grace rises up from couch walking backward signaling Sam to follow her. She suddenly pins Sam against the wall.

Grace:

I'm not superstitious, about ya

But I can't take no chance

You got me spinnin' baby

You know that I'm in a trance

Sam was surprised but thrilled by the sudden affection. "Whoa, Grace," he said, his heart racing. "I didn't expect that."

Grace pulled away and smiled at Sam. "I've been waiting for the right moment to do that," she said.

As Sam looked at her, he felt a rush of emotion wash over him. He knew that this was the beginning of something special, and he was excited to see where it would go.

"I'm glad you did," Sam said, smiling back at her.

April:

Feel his touch, all over

You know it means so much

It's like thunder, first then lightnin'

The way you love me is frightenin'

You better knock, knock, knock

On wood, baby

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh baby

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Chase's resolve started to crumble as he looked into her eyes. He knew that it was wrong, but he was drawn to her in a way he couldn't explain.

As April leaned in to kiss him, Chase hesitated for just a moment before finally giving in to the temptation.

May walked through the halls, her thoughts consumed by the upcoming meeting with her birth mother. She turned a corner and saw the choir room in the distance. As she got closer, she heard a strange noise coming from inside. She approached the door and began to open it.

Suddenly, she froze. She saw two people kissing. As she opened the door wider, she noticed that it was April with Chase. In that moment, May was shattered. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her heart sank as the realization hit her.

"What the hell?!" May exclaimed, her voice shaking with anger.

Chase was speechless, his face turning red with embarrassment. April tried to fix herself, but it was too late.

"May, it's not what it looks like," April said, her voice laced with guilt.

"Save it, April," May said, her voice cold and distant. "You're pathetic. Both of you."

May couldn't bear to look at them any longer, and she ran out of the room in tears.

As she ran down the hallway, May felt a mix of emotions. She was hurt, angry, and betrayed. When she reached the end of the hallway, May stopped and leaned against the wall, trying to catch her breath. She wiped away her tears and took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. She knew that she had to face Chase and April eventually, but right now, she needed time to heal from the hurt they had caused her.

The New Directions members were gathered in the choir room, chatting and laughing, when Sam burst in with a big smile on his face. "Good news, everyone!" he announced. "We have a new member joining us today."

All eyes turned to the door as Sam ushered in a young girl with short hair, a baseball cap, and a shy smile. "Everyone, this is Kenny," Sam introduced. "She's a great singer and she's excited to be a part of New Directions."

The group welcomed Kenny warmly, congratulating her on joining the club. But Sam wasn't done with his news yet. "Now, as you all know, McKinley High has three glee clubs this year," he continued. "That means we'll have to compete in invitationals to see who will represent the school at Sectionals."

At this, the room grew quiet. The competition would be tough, and everyone knew it. But Sam had one more surprise up his sleeve. "But don't worry, guys," he said with a grin. "I've brought some help."

With that, the door opened again, and in walked April Rhodes. She beamed at the group, her eyes lingering on May and Chase.

For a moment, no one spoke. Tension hung in the air as the two and April locked eyes. Finally, May raised her hand. "Can I do a song?" she asked quietly.

Nathen, the club's pianist, nodded and sat down at the piano. May took her place in front of the room, and Nathen began to play the opening notes of "You're Not Sorry" by Taylor Swift.

May:

All this time I was wasting

Hoping you would come around

I've been giving out chances every time

And all you do is let me down

May's eyes immediately fixed on Chase who looked guilty upon hearing the words being sung, which were about him.

May:

And it's taking me this long

Baby but I figured you out

And you're thinking we'll be fine again

But not this time around

May turns her attention to April whose seated next to Sam. Although May desired a relationship with April, she couldn't forgive her for kissing Chase.

May:

You don't have to call anymore

I won't pick up the phone

This is the last straw

Don't wanna hurt anymore

And you can tell me that you're sorry

But I don't believe you baby

Like I did before

You're not sorry, no, no, no, no

The other members of New Directions begin to pick up on the tension in the room as May sings directly to Chase.

May:

You're looking so innocent

I might believe you if I didn't know

Could've loved you all my life

If you hadn't left me waiting in the cold

And you got your share of secrets

And I'm tired of being last to know

And now you're asking me to listen

Cause it's worked each time before

So you don't have to call anymore

I won't pick up the phone

This is the last straw

There's nothing left to beg for

And you can tell me that you're sorry

But I don't believe you, baby, like I did before

You're not sorry (No, no, no, no)

You're not sorry (No, no, no, no)

(No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no)
