Chapter 58 History of the Quincies

Mitsuki was alone at the streets of Japan looks at the pendant of his mother, he just discovered that he's something called a Quincy.
"I wish I could know more about them?" He said.
"Maybe I could assist you." He looks back and saw Zelretch.
"Zelretch." Mitsuki got surprised.
"I've been surprised that your a Quincy, it just made everything more interesting for me." He chuckles. "Now I know what your trying to see so here." He gives him a book with the symbol of the quincy on it.
"Oh thanks." Mitsuki takes it.
"You only scracth the surface of the quincy race, as they have more abilities that you don't even know, plus weapons that you could make later on." He goes away.
Mitsuki goes to a bench and reads the book, he saw some tools, like one called Gintō which are capsules to store the Quincy's energy, they allow the user to perform spells that are listed.
"Huh, so it's kinda like magic but different." Mitsuki said.
He then saw Sanrei Glove which basically increases they're powers but they have to got through training.
"I should get something like that, these texts tells me the materials." Mitsuki said.
Next was something called the Seele Schneider which is the true blade of the quincies, he saw that it's very strong and wonders more about if he can use his legendary sword with it.
He then saw some abilities like Ransōtengai which allows the user to control their body parts using strings of Reiryoku controlled by their brain, forming lines or strings out of Reishi. By using this technique, the user can control their body as one would a puppet, allowing them to move freely despite paralysis, broken limbs, or any other force that would impede normal movement.
Mitsuki could see that it could be useful for those that couldn't fight with weaken bodies like old people, but using it to control body parts that can't move is very useful, another is the speed technique he's been using called Hirenkyaku.
He kept reading the book more before he saw the history of the quincies, as they once served a king they saw as they're god, theres a image of a man with long hair holding his hands out as they glow with a light.
Mitsuki stares at the image and he has flashes of the time of his mother's death making him hold his head in pain.
He turns the page since that's bringing some bad memories back to him, he then saw something called the Shinigami, it says they were the enemies that fought they're lords army the Lichtreich.
He saw a image of a man called Yamamoto covered in fire as he was standing with other people suffering.
It seems these shinigami were not in the same page with the Quincy making a entire war against the two sides.
A page showed the enemy of the Quincies were creatures called Hollows which were evil spirits.
Mitsuki sees why the two sides went to war, it seems they both had different views how to deal with Hollows, but the way they're praising this king, just makes it like some weird cult.
He then saw a image of a building of a place called Silbern from the description on it.
"Silbern?" Mitsuki thinks about it.
He then saw Pina go up to him. "Oh hey Pina."
"Hello Mitsuki what are you reading?" She asked.
"Just a book about the history of the Quincies." He said.
"Oh, that race of humans that can control spirit energy you used." Pina got curious about it.
"Yes, it's the only thing that I know about them, I learned a lot more with this." Mitsuki said.
"I see, it seems you really want to know all about them." Pina said.
"Hey I can't help it, my mother never told me about them until now. So what are you going to do now? It seems you were having second thoughts." Mitsuki asked her.
She looks down. "I saw what this world can do, even more with that enemy from last night, my home has no way of winning."
He got surprised at the fact she's giving up. "Oh, so your giving up?"
"What I want is to settle things in peace, to form a treaty between our two countries." Pina said.
He smiles at her. "It seems your finding the right way."
She smiles at him. "Will you be going too, your related to one of this country's greatest warriors."
"Of course, Itami and the others will be going there anyway." Mitsuki nodded.
"It will be good that you'll be there." Pina said.
She has gotten to know Mitsuki a lot, she can see he's a true man of honor and wishes to save many lives, as a doctor that's what he's supposed to do, he has passion for his job despite his hobbies that she sees.
Maybe he's more special before getting these powers revealed to him. She blushes a bit thinking about it.
The two talked together to get to know each other and they had a good time since Pina learned so much from this world and from Mitsuki too, the wonders what one has will always keep surprising her.
Note: This chapter was to show Mitsuki more about the Quincy race thanks to Zelretch, as he found Mitsuki being a quincy interesting so he helped him to see how much he can grow, soon the scene where they will try to negogitate with the Empire will happen.
