"Cy-Had, I am so sorry for all the mess my friend has caused," Chip said to her, as they with Monty and Zipper watched Dale clean up his mess with the cleaning tools he was given outside the Speedy Cloud.

"Well, it could have been worse, Chip," Cy-Had said.

"Really? How?"

"Well, for one thing, you, Monty and Zipper responded very well to the alarm," Cy-Had said. "None of you were still asleep and you rushed to get Dale out and Monty and Zipper came in to help get you out. This was by no means at all a drill, but you guys still reacted brilliantly as if it was one or an alarm for a real disaster, so well done to you three."

"Thanks, Cy-Had," Chip said.

"So why don't you guys want to be the Rescue Rangers ever again?" Cy-Had asked. "What happened to you that scarred you for life?"

Chip decided to tell her the story. He, Dale, Monty, Zipper and their friend Gadget Hackwrench, who wasn't in the hidden hangout with them, were once the Rescue Rangers and their adventures to save people and bring criminals to justice were the very best ones they all ever had in their lives, but it all came to an end when the Rescue Rangers' last mission happened. They were tricked by their archenemies Fat Cat and his gang to go out on a fake mission so they could burn their tree, which contained their headquarters and all their gadgets and machines for their missions, down to the ground. When they learned everything about it, the Rescue Rangers went to catch the archenemies so they wouldn't get away with it and they didn't. They managed to put them away behind bars and it was their very last mission. Because their headquarters and most of their vehicles and equipment were destroyed during the fire, they felt that none of them could carry on being the Rescue Rangers and felt that chapter of their lives was over and they had to move onto the next one. It upset everyone, especially Dale. He found it the hardest to move on and still did. Chip missed the Rescue Rangers as much as all members did, but the real reason he didn't want to put the Rescue Rangers back together ever again was because the last mission made him feel like he was a failure as a Rescue Ranger and a leader and their tree headquarters getting burnt was all his fault and he never wanted to put them or anyone else in the world through that ever again.

Then everyone heard a noise. Then they saw a machine that was moving on its own and it had multiple machinal arms that was sweeping with a brush and picking the pile up with a dustpan and mopping with a mop and bucket behind it.

"I have to say that's a very clever invention you created, Cy-Had, luv," Monty said.

"Thanks, Monty," Cy-Had said, "but that's not my invention. I definitely didn't build it."

"Well, then, who could have built it?" Chip asked. "I don't recall the alarm going off again for this intruder."

"You're right, Chip," Cy-Had said. "It hasn't gone off. There's no evidence that it's from Annie or her Air Army."

Then Zipper buzzed.

"Dale could have built it?" Monty laughed loudly. "Nah, he's never been clever enough."

"Or stupid enough." Then Chip looked behind the machine and frowned. "Until now."

He found Dale was tiptoeing behind the machine and using a remote control. That was how the machine was doing its jobs.

"DALE!" Chip roared.

Dale sighed. "Oh, what now, Chipper? I'm doing what you told me to do. Only use brushes, mops, buckets and dustpans."

"That didn't mean you could turn them into an invention, you moron," Chip snapped.

"But I'm getting the job done quicker and better," Dale said.

Then there was a rumbling noise. It was coming from Dale's machine. It looked like it was about to explode and collapse.

"Shut it down, Dale!" Chip cried. "Turn it off!"

"I'm trying! I'm trying!" Dale protested as he tried to the remote control.

"Quick! Under the kitchen table now!" Cy-Had ordered.

She and the Rescue Rangers ran into the kitchen and dived under the kitchen table just in time before Dale's machine exploded. They crept out of the table and saw that everywhere was now even messier and dirtier than it was before.

"Quicker and better, Dale?" Monty said.

Zipper buzzed.

"Too right. It looks more slower and worse now."

Chip hit Dale on the head. "Now, look what you've done, stupid!"

"Hey, I was doing my best!" Dale snapped.

Then the chipmucks started to argue in their highly squeaky voices that no one could understand. Then Cy-Had got between them to stop their fights.

"Both of you, cut it out!" she ordered.

Chip and Dale went silent.

"Okay, everyone, let's take a deep breath and calm down."

They all did and felt better.

"Dale, why don't you dust the inside of the Speedy Cloud?" Cy-Had suggested, giving him a feather duster. "While you do that, I'll take care of the rest of the mess out here."

"Okay, deal," Dale said, looking at the feather duster. He looked at it for a very long time.

"Do you have a problem, Dale?" Cy-Had asked.

"How do you work this invention of yours, Cy-Had?" Dale asked. "Where are the buttons?"

Cy-Had laughed. "This isn't an invention of mine, you silly billy. This is an ordinary feather duster."

"Oh, yeah," Dale said. "I knew that."

"Well, then, get back into the Speedy Cloud and start cleaning unless you want me to give you a demonstration," Chip said.

Dale knew what kind of 'demonstration' Chip would give him so he immediately went back into the Speedy Cloud to start cleaning it.

"Wow!" Monty cried. "This cleaning machine of yours is definitely ingenious, Cy-Had. Unless, of course, it's not yours."

"No, you're right, Monty," Cy-Had said. "This machine is mine. And thanks for the compliment."

Zipper and Chip had to agree with Monty as they watched Cy-Had's own cleaning machine – which was another version of Dale's machine, but bigger and better – and the hanger bay was clean in less than five minutes.

Then the hanger door opened on its own.

"What's going on, Cy-Had?" Monty asked. "Why have you opened the hanger door?"

"I haven't, Monty," Cy-Had said.

Then the Speedy Cloud came to life.

Cy-Had pressed a button on her metal fin. "Dale?" Cy-Had called. "What's going on in there?"

"I don't know!" Dale cried. "I was just dusting and then everyone came to life."

"Where did you dust?" Then Cy-Had gasped. "You didn't dust the control panel, did you?"

"You said everywhere in the Speedy Cloud," Dale said.

Then the rocket boosters of the Speedy Cloud started to roar and move.

"Everyone, duck!" Cy-Had yelled.

She and the Rescue Rangers ducked as they watched the Speedy Cloud ascend through the tower and out of the hideout.

"Dale!" Cy-Had said to her metal fin. "Dale, can you hear me? Come in, Dale."

She got no reply.

"What are we going to do, Cy-Had?" Chip asked. "What are we going to do?"

"We're going to take this." Cy-Had grabbed a remote device and pressed a blue button on it.

Then more hanger doors opened and inside the Rescue Rangers saw another rocket plane, but it was three times bigger than the Speedy Cloud and it was painted black.

"This is the Tornado," Cy-Had explained.

"The Tornado?"

"It don't look like a tornado to me," Monty said.

"Wait until you get inside," Cy-Had said. "Now, hurry. The sooner this gets going, the sooner we rescue Dale."

The Rescue Rangers followed their flying fish leader into the Tornado. Like the outside, the inside of the machine was almost identical to the Speedy Cloud, with the only exception being it three times bigger.

"Strap yourselves in," Cy-Had ordered, as she went into the cockpit.

After they strapped themselves with the harnesses above them, which was the same size as the ones in the Speedy Cloud, the Rescue Rangers learned why this machine was called the Tornado once it took off. As well as being larger, it was three times faster, stronger and rougher than the Speedy Cloud.

Chip had been angry at his best friend Dale a few times during their lives, but this time he felt Dale really made him very mad. He would have spent some time thinking how he was going to deal with him for putting him and everyone in this mess when they would find him if only the flight wasn't too rough for him to even think about it.
