When people started arriving, they were met with a horrifying sight, part of the building had collapsed completely, and it didn't take long for others to start arriving to help. The people who were helping soon found the dead bodies of hopeful trainers who didn't make it. They also found the bodies of people who worked there but their bodies looked like it was caught in an explosion. Not only that but they also found the bodies of Pokemon trying to protect their trainers. It didn't help that the people attacking owned a devil fruit. However two people were lying on top of it all, and both needed immediate medical attention. The league was also contacted when one of those two was discovered to have been a member of Team Rocket.
"So how many died?" Lance asked now champion of Kanto.
"We're still counting the bodies but initially it looks like around 79"
"What about the one kid?" Lance was angry that Team Rocket had no regard for human life.
"He's stable now but we discovered an anomaly with his body"
'Did they discover that he has a devil fruit' Lance was well aware of why the governments of the world cracked down on any information regarding devil fruits. Having been told of their power, he realized that many people would die if a madman got a hold of one.
"Where is he right now?" Lance wanted to talk to Ash, needing to know how Team Rocket pulled this off.
"He's currently in the hospital at Plumflow"
With the help of an Alakazam with teleport, Lance managed to find Ash's room.
"How are you doing?" Lance asked as he entered Ash's room.
"Better" Ash replied.
"So can you tell me what happened?" Lance asked. Ash looked around the room making sure no one was inside.
"Close the door" Lance did just that.
"The one leading Team Rocket ate the Bomu Bomu no mi" Lance's eyes widen slightly.
"So they ate a devil fruit" Lance sighed.
"Yes, he blew a hole in the wall and then made a massive explosion that consumed most of the people in the room" Ash continued.
"You managed to dodge it then" Lance was starting to figure out what happened.
"Indeed as soon as I saw that explosion I knew it had to be the Bomu Bomu no mi" Ash explained his reasoning.
"Hmm looks like I'll have to contact Charles Goodshow" Lance muttered.
"So how worried is she?" Ash asked.
"She was almost ready to tear the whole building apart" Lance answered.
"Well I hope she won't be too mad" Ash sighed and laid back in bed. Lance then made a call to Charles Goodshow and the top executives of the Pokemon league.
"Hello Charles," Lance said.
"Lance is that you?" Charles asked.
"Yes," Lance replied.
"What happened" Charles demanded.
"Team Rocket got their hands on the Bomu Bomu no mi" Lance responded.
"The hell is a Bomu Bomu no mi?" An executive asked confused.
"Ash" Lance yelled.
"Yes," Ash shot up.
"Here I need you to explain the specifics of the devil fruit you fought" Lance explained while holding out the phone.
"Sure" Ash then grabbed the phone.
"So what is the Bomu Bomu no mi?" Charles asked.
"The Bomu Bomu no mi is a paramecia-type devil fruit that turns the user's body into a bomb. They can explode any part of their body or anything that originates from it such as boogers or their breath" Ash started.
"How do you know this?" Charles asked.
"I'm from Aurelan Kingdom" Ash deadpanned.
"I see so you're very knowledgeable about devil fruits then?"
"Yes, so what exactly do you want to know?" Ash asked.
"What are paramecia devil fruits?"
"You don't know?" Ash wondered how they didn't know.
"Well any specific information about devil fruits has been lost to time"
"Ah well, paramecia types are the most common and diverse group. The powers they grant vary but they don't let you turn into a Pokemon nor do they let you control a natural element" Ash explained.
"What about natural elements and Pokemon?"
"Logia allows the user to wield a natural element like lightning, magma, fire, etc. Now Loagia allows the person to be intangible, any attacks not imbued with an elemental weakness or haki"
"Ok, then it seems you're telling the truth, now how did you defeat this bomb man?"
"I ate the Gomu Gomu no mi, my body is made of rubber" Ash explained.
"I see"
"You knew about devil fruit classification didn't you" Ash accused the league executives.
"Indeed we just wanted to make sure that you were who you said you were"
"I see then do you mind if I ask a question?" Ash asked.
"What?"
"What's going to happen to the Team Rocket members" Ash was wondering if they were all going to be killed.
"Unforantly an international organization has sent a team to the location to kill them discreetly"
"Damn"
"Yes since you hail from the Aurelan Kingdom you are exempt unless you divulge this information to others"
"I understand, are there people I can divulge this info to?" Ash asked.
"Gym Leaders and the Elite Four are the safest other than that just assume that you can't divulge that information"
"I understand" Ash nodded his head.
"All right we look forward to your career as a Pokemon trainer" With that the call ended.
Inside League HQ in a large conference room
"So Team Rocket has gotten their hands on a devil fruit"
"It's safe to assume that they have more than one devil fruit"
"Giovanni, what do you think about this?" Giovanni the Gym Leader of Viridian City and the user of the Neko Neko no mi model Mewtwo a legendary zoan-type devil fruit. It was one of the few devil fruits that went missing during the warring period that Giovanni found as a kid. The league soon got involved once word reached them and decided to help train him. Becoming a powerful trainer he soon specialized in ground types and was the hardest gym leader to beat. While on the road as a Pokemon trainer, he got word that Team Rocket attacked his home. He lost his parents and brother. This led him to become determined to wipe the organization off the face of the Earth.
"This is serious, who knows what kind of devil fruits they managed to get a hold of" Giovanni cautioned.
"Indeed thankfully we have a regular supply of sea prism stone"
"I think we should send word to other gyms about Team Rocket having devil fruits" Giovanni advised.
"I agree, do you think that Sabrina will have trouble with a devil fruit user?"
"No keep in mind that she has the Saiki Saiki no mi in addition to her psychic powers" Giovanni reminded them. Sabrina was another gym leader with a devil fruit power. She was a natural-born psychic, then she ate a devil fruit that bestows psychic powers on the user. Her natural-born powers were enhanced greatly as a result making her on par with some psychic Pokemon.
"So have they arrived yet?"
"Yes the dark squad has just taken the Team Rocket prisoners to a secret location for execution"
"Ok then in the meantime we should be on high alert for any other activity by Team Rocket"
Meanwhile
The Dark Squad was an international group of what some considered deranged or unhinged. They loved their job of legal murder, especially when the people were members of Team Rocket. The whole organization as a whole was all hush-hush-type stuff. Team Rocket members who saw them would not be alive for very long. Heck, some would even consider them sadists, people who wanted nothing more than to break these people physically and mentally. So they arrived at the holding cell, one of which had a room lined with Sea Prism Stone. The others were all normal cells and the Pokemon they confiscated from them were all going to be rehabilitated. Treated for both the physical and mental scars they had after being in Team Rocket.
"We're here for the prisoners," One member said as they approached the officer on duty. Sitting on a small chair behind a large desk and windows.
"Can I see your ID?" The cop asked. The mysterious person grabbed his ID and gave it to the police officer by slipping it into the space that separated the window and the desk. The cop looked through it and checked the files.
"Ok you're good to go I'll send someone up here to bring you to the prisoners" The police officer then proceeded to turn on the PA. Telling the rest that some people were here to collect the prisoners.
"Do you need help loading them in?" The police officer asked noticing several large black vans parked next to the building.
"No we can handle it" The guy responded.
"Sure thing," He said as another cop showed up and led them to the cells containing all the Team Rocket prisoners.
"It's your lucky day" The mystery dude seemed to smile at them.
"Finally can get out of this dump" A grunt grumbled.
"Careful of that one" The officer pointed to the man in the Sea Prism Stone cell.
"Don't worry" The man then brought out his Sea Prism Stone cuffs and motioned for the cop to open the cell. After she did he entered and slapped them on the dude's wrists. Several other of the man's colleagues arrived and grabbed the remaining prisoners. After everyone was loaded in they got into the vans themselves and left.
"So can we kill them yet?" A younger woman asked.
"Once we get to the location" The man grunted.
"Oh it's going to be so much fun, it's been a while since we held an execution" She seemed even more pleased.
"Hold on what do you mean execution?" One of the grunts asked in shock.
"None of you are being released, no you are all going to die" She smiled.
"You can't do that" Another grunt protested.
"Yes we can, you all violated international law by almost exposing the existence of devil fruits. As such your lives are forfeit" The man explained. All the grunts who heard this turned pale.
"What about the rubber kid he used his devil fruit powers to" Another grunt pointed out.
"True but he is aware of the law and only used it as a last resort. Plus due to the explosion, all the witnesses were either dead or knocked out" The man's smile turned feral this was the last anyone ever heard of any of the grunts. They died quietly and without fanfare, for the bomb man made sure to record his devil fruit and its power before grabbing a fruit and then removing him. The fruit the reincarnated into the one they held before it got shipped off to the Aurelan Kingdom. The incident report that they sent though got everyone's attention back in the Kingdom.
Aurelan Kingdom
"So another devil fruit ended up in the hands of Team Rocket?" The Queen sighed while pinching her nose. The Queen was new to the throne and though she had been groomed for the position she was still inexperienced. She had trustworthy people around her to help out and she relied on their expertise in a variety of fields to help her make an educated decision. Being only 20 years old she was also in the process of finding a husband as well. Now the interesting thing was that her family was close to the Ketchum family and Ash's disappearance hit the royal family hard. They considered their sacred duty to protect the inhabitants of the kingdom and they failed.
Now Queen Maria with her long brown hair and green eyes was quite the sight to behold. Many men from the nobility were jockeying for the position of husband. H
"Indeed the devil fruit in question was the Bomu Bomu no mi," The servant said while reading the report.
"How was this person defeated?" An older man by the name of Silver asked. Ash's father and the user of the Chi Chi no mi. A logia that turns the person into a blood person.
"He was defeated by a person with the Gomu Gomu no mi, the name is Ash Ketchum." This got everyone's attention.
"My son is alive" Silver's voice was soft.
"Yes and if this report is anything to go by he's gotten stronger. He's trying to become a Pokemon trainer" The servant replied.
"Trying to get back home no doubt as a trainer would not arouse suspicion due to them traveling to take on the gyms" A minister deduced.
"Silver go and find him" The queen encouraged. Silver excused himself to go find his older son and only daughter Red and Leaf.
