Chapter One: House Solstice
The Second Age had come. A powerful House that is an ally to the crown and holds a high position in the government. Men and women were equal in the One Power but on different sides. The Aes Sedai were powerful and held positions of power. In the age where people lived longer. Miracles were common. Technology is evolving at an all time high. Most of the Aes Sedai did not need to use the One Power since technology was so advanced at this point. Though, many did not know they had taken much for granted. For a young new channeler was born for the first time from the Wheel. She alone would help change the course of the future.
"Ready or not! Here I come!" A voice shouted. Hearing a voice shushing as a young girl was hiding in a room under a bed. Hearing footsteps running across the hallway. Going past the room a few times. Hearing a soft giggle as she covered her mouth. The door opened and a girl with blonde hair and gray eyes laid on the floor.
"Found you Alessia!" The girl spoke with a smile.
"Darn it Jane!" Alessia shouted and laughed before crawling out under the bed. Brushing off the dust from her clothes before following Jane out of the room. Seeing several people running about while cleaning and moving things around. Alessia was confused about this. She stepped to the side and felt someone touch her shoulder.
"Father! What's going on?" Alessia asked while seeing a man much taller than her smiling down at her.
"Your mother, as always, is throwing a dinner party and inviting the Aes Sedai to join us." He spoke. Alessia and Jane both gasped at this. They had heard many stories about the Aes Sedai and they had always wanted to meet them.
"Jane, your mother called from Cairhein and said you are welcome to stay with us for the weekend." The man spoke. Jane squealed and jumped up and down from this. Hugging Alessia as well. She was so excited for her friend to be staying. "Go get ready girls!" He boomed as they nodded and ran off to Alessia's room.
"I'm so excited! I cannot wait to see the Aes Sedai!" Jane shouted as she changed into a simple dark red and orange dress to represent her House colors. Alessia nodded as she changed into a red and blue outfit. Her pants were slacks, black as her blouse was red and blue to represent her house. Making sure her gold bracelet was still on her wrist. She had this on her for as long as she could remember. She had never once taken it off. She smiled and walked out of the room. She was stopped as both of their hair was done by a servant. Alessia smiled and gave the woman a hug. Wealth had no meaning to anyone. Only the service and things they had done to humanity gained them power as her father held a high position in the government. She followed her friend out of the house as they ran down the stairs. Stopping by her father as he was speaking to a man she had never seen before. Watching him leave as they were herded into a vehicle. She was smiling because she had rarely ever ridden these. It was a very common way to travel. Feeling it lift off of the ground as Alessia held onto her friend tightly. Hearing a soft chuckle from her father as they took off. She looked out the window and smiled. Seeing the different colors of the tall buildings surrounding the area. Andor. The city she was born in. There were hundreds of people walking about the city. Going on about their day. It was a peaceful summer day. A day she would never forget.
The vehicle had stopped and landed as Alessia basically dashed out of the door and stopped. Seeing a tall woman with black hair and blue eyes. Alessia shouted and ran to the woman. Hug attacking her with a smile.
"Hello mother!" Alessia shouted. The woman chuckled and hugged Alessia tightly. She was almost a splitting image of her mother. Long black hair and blue eyes. Her father said her eyes were the color of oceans. She had never seen an ocean before and wanted to.
"Jane is here!" Alessia spoke up as she was hushed.
"I am glad you joined us, Jane." Her mother spoke with a smile. Jane bowed to the woman and then hugged her. Jane, her best friend, was basically the sister she always wanted. She kept asking her mother for a sister. Her mother would only hush her and change the topic. She however welcomed Jane with open arms. Alessia linked arms with Jane as they followed her parents down the sidewalk and entered a large garden. Hearing a voice clear their throat.
"May I present! House Solstice! Along with them, a guest from House Trankand!" The voice spoke as everyone went silent. Alessia blushed as this as people were bowing to them. Jane gasped as she smiled. Alessia and Jane. They were inseparable from each other. She loved her friend dearly. They made their way down the path and took their seats near the front.
"May I present! House Damodred!" The man shouted as a small family entered. All wearing blue. Alessia's eyes caught a woman's blue ones as well. She was tall and slender. Proud looking. A smile that made anyone fall instantly in love with her. She had brown hair that fell just past her shoulders. She looked very young as she followed her family to the other side. Alessia looked to the side and around. Hoping to see where the Aes Sedai were.
"May I present! The Amyrlin Seat, Latra Sedai! Along with the Dragon, Lews Therin! Both of the Aes Sedai!" The man shouted. Jane gasped and nudged Alessia as she looked up. They were here! There was a woman standing next to a man. She was in white gold clothing for her top and black pants. The man was in all black and wearing a golden Dragon Pin. He did seem that much older from Alessia. He looked as if he was in his late twenties or early thirties. Alessia however was looking at the other Aes Sedai that were there with them. There was a woman who looked very young for her age. Black hair just past her shoulders and black eyes. A rare color for eyes. She seemed to be linking her arm with the Dragon. There was another woman. Much shorter and young looking. Alessia didn't pay any more attention before turning to face her father.
"Father." Alessia whispered looking at her father. He smiled while clapping with the others before looking at his daughter. "What is the Dragon?" Alessia asked.
"He is the most powerful channeler of the Aes Sedai and said to be the one to make or break the world." Her father spoke. Alessia smiled while looking back. A pair of dark eyes found hers. She blushed and looked away. Poking at her cup on the table in front of her. Jane seemed to be smiling non stop while looking around.
"Dinner is served!" The voice shouted as a plate was set in front of her. It smelled of chicken and she poked it with her fork. It was roasted chicken. She smiled and tried it. Smiling as she began to eat. Hearing several voices chattering away about the current events.
"Mr. Solstice. What an honor to meet you and your family." A voice spoke as Alessia looked up. Seeing the Amyrlin Seat standing in front of them with the Dragon. Alessia stood up with her friend Jane and her parents as they gave the woman a bow.
"May I present my daughter Alessia." He spoke while introducing Alessia. She quickly bowed again with a soft smile. Her eyes caught the dark ones again before looking to the side. "Her friend. Jane Trankand." He added while introducing Jane.
"Is it true?!" Jane asked while she looked at her friend.
"Is what, true my dear?" Lews asked while smiling at her.
"That you are the strongest channeler and defeated anyone who stands in your way?" Jane asked. Alessia had just face palmed at this before hearing a chuckle.
"I am not sure about all that my dear but I assure you. I am strong. Then again, all my friends are strong as well." He spoke while waving to the others. Alessia was avoiding eye contact with them all. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of them. They were people with actual power after all. Watching them walk away to their seats as Alessia sighed in a small relief.
"They are so amazing!" Jane spoke while nudging Alessia who nodded in agreement. It seemed everyone was in bright spirits as their plates were taken. She felt Jane link their arms as they followed Alessia's parents out to the garden.
The moon was on the horizon as the sun was setting. She was looking around before seeing a few of the Aes Sedai in the center as they began to channel. Alessia could see the light orange streams as they moved in a dance. Hearing Jane gasp and point. They set off fireworks in the sky. Everyone was cheering and clapping at the show. Alessia was just in pure awe. Her jaw hanging open while feeling a nudge.
"Do you see the lights around their arms?" Jane asked as Alessia nodded her head. It was odd. She had never seen it before then again she had never seen an Aes Sedai until now. Seeing more fireworks in the sky as Alessia was watching.
"Come girls. Time to head back home." Alessia's father spoke. They both looked at each other and dashed over to the Dragon and the Tamyrlin seat. Both bowing to them.
"Thank you for a wonderful evening!" Alessia spoke before taking off. Hearing Jane say the same thing before following suit. They hopped into the vehicle while chattering about the night's events that happened.
They had changed from their formal wear while looking outside.
"Everyone is asleep now! Come!" Alessia spoke as Jane put on a cloak as did Alessia. She smiled while silently leading her friend down the hallway while being on her tiptoes. Hearing no one talking or moving about as they made it to the back door. She stepped outside as did Jane. The air was cool to the touch against their skin as the moon was full and shining brightly. Alessia led the way across the garden lawn to the other side of the backyard. She unlocked the gate and waited on Jane.
"Where are we going?" Jane asked. Alessia smiled at this.
"You'll see! It's a surprise!" Alessia whispered as she closed the gate before dashing into the wooded area that was behind her house. She stopped by a small pond in a clearing. She took her cloak off and began dancing. Jane had joined in. Dancing as well as they moved their arms fluidly like they were weaving. She could feel the energy of the moon encouraging her to dance more. They were laughing while dancing around. Feeling the dead leaves and the dirt crunch under their shoes. They then set their cloaks on the ground by the pond before they laid down on the ground. On top of their cloaks. It was silent in the wooded area. There were wild animals but they were probably in their hiding holes for the night. The trees were dancing lightly against the wind that sang songs. She was watching the stars in the sky. Wondering how much bigger the world was out there. The moon was still high and bright in the sky before it was starting to slowly fall to show that the night was going to be coming to an end.
"Jane." Alessia spoke to break the silence. She could hear her friend lightly catching her breath as she was as well.
"Yes?" Jane asked while looking at her.
"I want to become an Aes Sedai." Alessia spoke softly in the wind.
"Me too." Jane spoke. They both sat up with a smile.
"Imagine how much we could do! The advancements we could help out with technology. Or healing people! Even teach the next generation!" Alessia spoke while beaming.
"I want to do that as well! I want to teach others." Jane spoke. Her friend had always talked about becoming a teacher. Alessia wanted to just help others. To show others that her House was more than just a name.
"We should head back." Jane spoke as they grabbed their cloaks and started to head back to the house. She put the dirty clothes into a hamper and wore a black night gown as Jane was wearing a red one. They climbed into the large bed and laid down. Linking their arms. The bed was comfortable enough for the both of them.
"It would be a dream come true." Jane whispered as Alessia nodded her head. It would be a dream come true. She would want more than anything to help the world out there by becoming an Aes Sedai. She yawned lightly and turned to the side. Jane was facing the opposite way. Falling asleep.
Six years later. (Age Sixteen.)
Alessia was humming softly while staring outside of the window. She was excited her friend was coming over for the weekend. Right now, she was in her private lessons as an Ogier was speaking in Old Tongue. Hearing a ruler slap on her desk as she jumped. Looking at her teacher who was folding his hands in front of him.
"Sorry sir. I was daydreaming." Alessia spoke with a frown.
"It's alright dear. Let us call it for the day. I know your friend is arriving soon." He spoke as Alessia nodded. She jumped up and bowed to him before packing her things up and dashed out of the room. She had reading to do but she decided not to worry about it now. It was about the history of the White Tower. She ran outside while a servant chased after her. Shouting about wearing her cloak since it was a little cold outside. She didn't care. She stopped by the entrance and was jumping up and down.
"She's here!" Alessia shouted as the vehicle landed. Jane had jumped out basically as they hugged each other.
"I'm so happy you are here!" Alessia spoke as Jane was smiling non stop.
"It's good to be back! Been a while!" Jane spoke as she linked their arms together. They were walking together while heading back to the house. Jane was silent for the time being as Alessia was talking about her lesson. She then stopped and looked at Jane.
"You are quiet. You are normally not quiet." Alessia spoke. Watching her friend.
"I came by for the weekend because." Jane began and sighed. Alessia raised a brow at her friend.
"Because..?" Alessia asked, waiting for Jane to finish her sentence.
"I can channel." Jane spoke. Alessia's eyes went wide at this. She gasped and hugged Jane. Hearing her friend had touched the Source. She then frowned while pulling back.
"You're not staying the night, are you?" She asked. Jane shook her head.
"They are coming to pick me up from here." Jane spoke. Alessia felt her eyes sting at this. She wasn't jealous. She was hurt. Being separated from her lifelong friend was painful. Feeling a hug from Jane again as she sighed.
"When did it start?" Alessia asked.
"Two days ago. It started out as whispering before I accidentally blew up part of my room." Jane spoke. Alessia was listening closely to her friend speak.
"What is it like? Channeling?" Alessia asked while watching her friend call onto the One Power. She could see the weaving. But yet, she couldn't feel it. She never told anyone else about seeing it. She would be called a weirdo or crazy. Jane was the only one she told and now, years later, her friend was channeling. She gasped and smiled at it. Placing her hand on Jane's arm to see if she could feel it. She could not. She frowned a little before hearing her father call for them to come inside. They linked arms again and made their way back into the house.
"Ah. Jane! Welcome! They should be arriving soon." Her father spoke. Alessia frowned at this. She was leaving so soon! Feeling another hug as she looked at her friend and returned it. She led her friend away from the others to her room. Closing the door and sat on her bed.
"I know you are sad. I can write to you or visit!" Jane spoke as she was trying to cheer Alessia up. She smiled at Jane and nodded her head. She was not wrong. She could easily contact Jane anytime. Though, she knew life at the Tower was very strict. The Aes Sedai usually kept to themselves unless they were needed in the government or politics. Alessia sighed lightly and nodded. Rubbing her wrist where the gold bracelet was at. It was getting tight around her wrist. Seeing her friend move books around on the desk before sitting on top.
"You're being taught Old Tongue?" Jane asked as Alessia nodded. "I always wanted to learn! Mother and father both said it wasn't necessary since everyone speaks Common Tongue now." Jane spoke.
"It's always good just in case." Alessia spoke. In history, many still speak it. Especially the Aes Sedai. She had come to find out about it. It was commonly spoken at the Tower. She had begged her parents to learn it when she was younger. She was glad they allowed it. She was almost fluent in it.
"Jane. Alessia! Guests! They are here!" Her father shouted. Alessia frowned at this. She was not ready to say goodbye to her friend yet. Feeling another hug before she was led out of her room this time. They silently made their way outside to the front garden. Seeing two tall women there. One was in black and white and the other in blue.
"Hello. Thank you for allowing us to come and pick her up." The taller woman spoke. She had seen both of these ladies before!
"Thank you Lanfear Sedai for coming." Her father spoke.
"This is Moiraine Sedai. She was newly raised a few years back." Lanfear spoke while introducing the other woman. Alessia remembers seeing her at the dinner party so long ago. The woman wearing blue bowed to them with a smile. Alessia frowned again.
"You must be Jane!" Lanfear spoke while shaking Jane's hand.
"Yes, Lanfear Sedai. I cannot tell you how much of an honor this is." Jane spoke as she bowed as well. Alessia sniffled a little. Feeling the tears blurring her vision.
"You alright dear?" Moiraine asked while looking at her. Alessia nodded her head. She felt Jane pull her to the side.
"Are you okay?" Her friend asked.
"Yes. Just promise me something?" Alessia asked as Jane nodded her head. "Become the best Aes Sedai you can be and live the dream for us both?" Alessia asked. Jane hugged her again. Tightly. This time it was longer.
"Of course. I wish you could come too." Jane spoke. They parted their hug as Alessia watched Jane being escorted by Lanfear as Moiraine followed. Alessia couldn't help but feel that pain inside of her chest as her friend had walked away with the Aes Sedai. Once they were out of sight, Alessia turned and ran off. Ignoring her parents calling for her. She made her way to the backyard. She managed to take her cloak from the servant before disappearing in the backyard. Not knowing her parents were upset while searching. She didn't care. For now, she wanted to be alone. She slipped through the back gate and into the woods. The one place she shared with Jane. The only place where she would forget the world and dream of the life they wanted. She stopped in the clearing and sat down against a tree. Watching the water lightly ripple from the insects touching it or when a bird lands to drink. There, she stayed and hugged her knees. Sniffling every minute or so.
Four years later. (Twenty years old)
"Get up!" A woman's voice shouted as Alessia groaned. She sat up and sighed. Rubbing her head a little while seeing a woman pulling out a change of clothes.
"I can change myself, Musin." Alessia spoke softly while hearing the woman chuckle.
"Your mother wants you to meet some potential man to marry. So, she asked me to pick out your outfit." Musin spoke. Alessia rolled her eyes at this. She sighed with frustration. She wanted to go out and travel the world. She was still young and just turned of age. She didn't want any man. She didn't need anyone. She just wanted her friend back. To hug her again. To see her friend again. Jane. Who was living at the White Tower. Her friend that she had not heard from in years. She rubbed her forehead before sighing. Seeing Musin pull out a dress that went to her ankles. It was in red and blue. She scrunched her nose at it. She hated wearing dresses. She would avoid them if she could. Her mother however wanted her to be more like a lady.
"It's hideous." Alessia spoke softly.
"Your mom picked it out." Musin spoke. Alessia sighed and grabbed the dress to put it on. She brushed her hair while Musin was helping her put braids into her hair before putting it up. She looked around and found her flat shoes and put them on.
"No dress shoes?" Musin asked.
"No. I may be wearing this damned dress that is very uncomfortable, I want to at least have my feet not hurt." Alessia spoke as she tied her shoes on. She looked around and grabbed a cloak to put on as well. Might as well hide the ugly dress. She rubbed her wrist and sighed. It was hurting. The gold bracelet was tight against her wrist now. It was rubbing her skin raw. She needed to find a way to get it off of her. She had been going out into the city at night. Away from her parents' prying eyes. She helped out in the inns. The taverns. She smiled as she greeted the people who knew her. She had gained the people's love and loyalty from her hard work. She even did community services to help around the city. Her parents had told her time after time how proud they were of her. In reality, deep down. She was still hurting. She even thought herself she should have gotten over it. For some reason, it felt like something was missing. She couldn't place a finger on it. She decided to go see someone.
"I will be back. There is someone that I need to speak to." Alessia spoke as she waved goodbye to Musin who bowed and took her leave. She decided she needed to visit someone about an issue.
The wind was soft today as Alessia was walking down the street. Sure she could have gotten to her destination faster but decided she needed fresh air. Not that she didn't get it every day. Humming softly while looking around and seeing familiar faces. She smiled and waved at them as some waved back or nodded their heads with smiles. She stopped outside of a smaller and older looking building. She opened the door to hear a bell ring. She let the door close while looking around.
"Be right there!" A man's voice shouted. She smiled softly while looking around on the walls. There were different types of weapons from the old days. People still collected them and there were tournaments using these weapons. A man appeared by the counter. Alessia smiled and walked up to him.
"Hello Perrin! Good to see you!" Alessia spoke with a smile.
"Lady Alessia. How can I help you?" Perrin asked as he bowed to her.
"No need for that!" She spoke while waving her hand. She was still getting used to people treating her like royalty because of her father. She hated it. In fact, she kept trying to pass off like a commoner to prevent it.
"This bracelet. I cannot get it off for the life of me. I have tried using different tools and what not. Think you can help?" Alessia asked as she held her wrist up. Perrin grabbed her hand gently to look at it.
"It's gold. The weakest metal. I should be able to with no sweat!" Perrin spoke.
"Oh thank the Light!" Alessia sighed in relief as Perrin disappeared for a moment. He came back with a weird looking saw. Alessia's eyes went wife.
"No need to worry. I won't hurt you." He spoke. Alessia chuckled lightly and held her wrist back up. He clipped the tool in place and turned it on. Seeing the blade spin against the bracelet. There were some sparks flying as Alessia frowned. The saw was not cutting it. He turned it off and sighed. Setting the blade to the side.
"It's not gold. It's something else. I do not know what it is." Perrin spoke. Alessia frowned at this and rubbed her wrist.
"What do I do now?" She asked while frowning.
"Maybe ask an Aes Sedai? They can use their power to see it?" Perrin suggested. Alessia nodded her head and paid for his time.
"Thank you." Alessia spoke. She waved goodbye to Perrin before heading back out. She sighed and made her way back to her home. Truth be told, she hadn't seen any of the Aes Sedai since that day. She made it back and went straight to her room and sat down at her desk. Sighing softly while pulling out a book. A word caught her attention. Ter'angreal.
Hearing voices in the hallway as she sat up. Looking outside as she must have fallen asleep. She set the books aside and looked out of the room. Seeing a tall man and a woman entering a room. She recognized them! It seemed the Wheel was in her favor today! She silently walked over and stopped. Not wanting to interrupt them yet.
"My love. We need to train them harder." Lanfear's voice spoke.
"Why? We are in an era of peace. There is no need." Lews' voice came. Alessia was confused but decided to knock on the door frame. Seeing them both look up at her.
"My lady. What can we do for you?" Lews asked as he gave her a small bow as did Lanfear. Alessia waved her hand as she walked into the room.
"I have a question." Alessia spoke.
"I hope to have an answer." The Dragon spoke with a smile. Alessia raised her hand to reveal the bracelet. Lanfear grabbed it.
"My dear, your skin is raw!" She spoke out.
"I know. I was wondering if you knew anything about this? I cannot take it off. Nor cut it off. I went to the Blacksmith today and he said he couldn't even saw it off." Alessia spoke with a frown. She saw Lanfear channel. Seeing the weaves move across her hand to the bracelet.
"This is a Ter'angreal. I have never seen one like this before." Lanfear spoke. Alessia frowned. She had a feeling that was the case.
"Here. Let me." Lews spoke as he took Alessia's hand and looked at it. She assumed he was channeling. Then it happened. The bracelet snapped apart. Alessia gasped as she felt the bracelet taken off of her. As if a weight has been lifted off of her.
"Thank you! So much!" Alessia spoke while giving Lews a bow as Lanfear grabbed her wrist again. She felt a warm sensation as she channeled. Her skin was healed.
"I am in both your debts!" Alessia spoke as she bowed again.
"I would like to keep this. Give it to Sister Lillen to see if she can figure out what this is." Lews spoke as Alessia held both of her hands up.
"Keep it. It is all yours! I am in both your debts!" Alessia spoke as she bowed again.
"No need my dear. We are Aes Sedai. Servants of all. It is our duty." Lews spoke as Alessia was beaming non stop at them both.
"Thank you again." Alessia spoke, hearing her mother shout for her. "Let me know if there is anything you need, anything at all. Don't hesitate to ask." Alessia spoke while giving them another bow before taking her leave from the room. She was almost bouncing down the hallway as she was swaying almost. It felt so good to finally have the damned bracelet off. Hoping her father would not be angry with her. Pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind as she made her way towards her mother.
"You seem to be in good spirits!" Her mother piped up. Alessia rolled her eyes with a smile and shook her head.
"Oh shush mother. Now, you called for me?" Alessia asked as her mother pulled her by the arm gently. Leading her into the large dining hall. There were several people here. Mostly men. Alessia frowned at this.
"Do not frown my dear. It will give unwanted wrinkles." Her mother spoke as she grabbed a glass of wine from a tray and drank it. Alessia shook her head while looking around. There were so many here wanting to ask for her hand. She hated this. Her mother wanted her to continue the line and by doing so, she would marry a man.
"I do not want to marry a man." Alessia sighed with frustration.
"You are of child bearing age my dear. It is your duty as the hair to our House." Her mother spoke. Alessia felt her stomach drop at this. She didn't want to submit to any man and bear children. She wanted out. She wanted to see the world. To help those in need. She had much of her life left and she wanted to do something great with it. Not settle down and waste it away on one person. She watched as a man approached her.
"Hello there my ladies." He spoke while bowing to them. Alessia looked to the side. Listening but not paying any attention. The man was speaking about how popular he is with the people in the city. How he works closely with her father. Alessia rolled her eyes at this. It seemed to never be ending. Alessia's eyes caught black ones. It was Lanfear. It seemed the woman kept an eye on her. Feeling someone touch her arm, she jumped and moved away from the man.
"Did I startle you? Would you like to join me alone on the balcony?" The man asked.
"No. Thank you." Alessia spoke as she began to leave only for her arm to be grabbed tightly again. She glared at the man.
"I said. Come join me." He spoke.
"Alessia. Go." Her mother spoke with a smile. She could see her mother hoping. Alessia sighed in defeat and followed the man. Ignoring everything he was saying to her. It was not long as they were outside in the backyard as she looked up to the sky. Feeling the softness of the light from the moon. There was a light breeze against her skin as she shivered a little. The man wrapped an arm around her. She jumped and pulled away from him.
"Cold?" He asked as she shook her head. Wrapping her own cloak around her. She did not trust him. "I've seen you around, you know?" He spoke as she raised a brow at him. "In the city. Helping people. I like a woman who knows her place." He spoke. Alessia scoffed at him and shook her head.
"Stalking me?" She asked. He only smiled and pushed her against the side of the house. She pushed him off again. "Stay off of me!" She shouted. Anger rising inside.
"Do not deny me!" He spouted. Feeling a hard slap across her face. Resting a hand on her cheek while glaring at him. "Now. Do as I say and be a good lady." He spoke. Pushing against her again.
"I said no!" She screamed! Pushing her hands forward with all her might. Watching the man go flying off of his feet as she felt energy around her. Gasping as she stepped back. She felt power inside of her.
"Witch!" He screamed while pointing at her. Standing up with anger on his face. He shouted so loudly enough, that others had come out to see what happened.
"What's going on?" Her mother's voice came as Alessia frowned looking at her. Lanfear was near. She had a smirk on her face. Alessia looked back to the man.
"She assaulted me! I demand to have her arrested! Witch!" He shouted.
"Alessia. Is this true?" Her mother asked.
"I barely touched him!" She shouted while glaring at him.
"If you insulted my daughter or made her unhappy, you are not welcome here." Her mother spoke while standing next to Alessia.
"She is a witch!" He shouted again. Hearing a commotion happening again. Alessia felt overwhelmed as she began to channel again. Hearing gasps and whispering as she looked around. Seeing people had horror looks on their faces. She frowned.
"Alessia. Come inside and we will talk about this." Her mother spoke. Feeling her hand grabbed as her wrist was looked at. "Where is your bracelet? If you had it on, this would have never happened." Her mother spoke. Alessia felt her heart sink.
"You knew?" Alessia asked. Her mother only stared at her. "You knew?!" She shouted. Feeling herself channel again. She turned her heels and ran.
Feeling the streams of the One Power moving quickly around her as she caused some small explosions. She frowned. She couldn't get it to stop. She set fire nearby her as she was further away from her home. Shouting as she flicked her arms. Trying to get the channeling to stop.
"Please stop!" She shouted at herself while moving about. Hearing a gallop of a horse and then she shouted. Falling to her knees and looking around. The streams around her body were gone as she looked up. Seeing Lanfear hop down from the horse and walking over to her.
"What's happening?" Alessia asked with a frown.
"You are channeling. I shielded you for now. You can still feel the Source but cannot reach it." Lanfear spoke.
" I am Lanfear Sedai of the Aes Sedai. I have come to take you to the Tower." Lanfear spoke. Alessia felt something rise inside. She felt hope for once.
"How did you know?" Alessia asked. Feeling the shield lifted as she stood up. Taking Lanfear's hand to help up. Brushing the dirt off of her.
"Ever since Lews took that bracelet off. I could feel it coming from you. I was in doubt until now." Lanfear explained. "Come. Time to go." She added.
"Shouldn't I wait to see what my father says?" Alessia asked as Lanfear turned back to her as she mounted the horse.
"No. By the law of the land, you are required to be at the White Tower for training to become an Aes Sedai. Your parents have no say. Unless you prefer this life instead?" Lanfear asked. Alessia quickly shook her head and grabbed the older woman's hand and mounted the horse behind her. Feeling the horse gallop back to her home. Looking around to see that the guests have left. She dismounted the horse after Lanfear and began to follow her.
"Where are you going?" Her father's voice came. They both stopped and looked over.
"She is coming with me, my lord." Lanfear spoke while looking at him.
"She is my daughter. Her place is here." He spoke. Her mother appeared from behind and stood by him. She was smiling proudly at Alessia. It made her raise a brow at her.
"She is a channeler. She comes with me." Lanfear spoke up more.
"I will not have my daughter train as some witch!" He shouted.
"My dear. My love. Let her go. You know she wants this." Her mother spoke. Her father was red faced before turning to take his leave. Knowing full well he was defeated in this fight. Once her father was gone, she felt her mother cup her cheeks.
"Go. Fulfill your destiny. Be who you are meant to be." Her mother spoke. Alessia couldn't help but feel her eyes water before hugging her mother tightly.
"Thank you, mother." Alessia spoke softly. Feeling her cheeks patted before her mother stepped back a little. Looking at Lanfear now.
"Make sure she becomes who she is meant to be Lanfear Sedai." Her mother spoke.
"Of course my lady." Lanfear spoke as she gave the woman a bow. Feeling her shoulder touched.
"Take this. For the Tower as well. I will send more donations as well." Her mother spoke. Handing Lanfear a coin purse full of money. Lanfear smiled and bowed again.
"The Tower is grateful for not only receiving a new potential Aes Sedai and the donations." Lanfear spoke before taking her leave. "Come Alessia. Time to take you home." Lanfear spoke.
'Home.' Alessia thought as she smiled at her mother before turning to follow Lanfear. To finally begin her life she longed for.
–Notes–
Hey everyone! Hope you enjoy this! A couple people asked for the prequel to the story! To see how the journey begins! I know I have two others in the making and they will be completed! This will also encourage me to write more! Let me know what you think! Yes, Liandrin will be in this story as well more more towards the ending. Moiraine is in here as well. Yes, I will have characters we know and love! This one is more focused on her relationship with Moghedien before Liandrin comes into play!
