Chapter Thirty-Two:

Double Princess Abduction

"Can you believe that we are bringing zis foo-el along with us." Antoine remarked as he and the others followed the group of fast-moving Sonics and their flying twin-tailed sidekicks, gesturing to Jim Robotnik, who was already known to be the only version of Doctor Eggman to not be part of the Eggman Alliance.

"We can't just leave him at Tails' place." Knuckles told the coyote, "After all, he is an Eggman/Robotnik, and there is the chance he could try to use Tails' inventions against us or make his own weapon out of the junk lying around in that lab."

"Lets not forget..." Jim Robotnik raised a sheepish hand, "...there's also the fact that we're risking the rise of the Eggnikbrid, the reason I didn't join Doctor Eggman and the other, eh, Eggmen in the first place. They have the Black Emerald, now it won't be long before one of them makes his move and the power of the beast is unleashed on everything."

"You got spunk for not joinin' the docs." Sticks quipped as she stared at the lanky scientist, "But somethin' tells me you'll go rogue sooner or later. I bet you want to obtain that Black Emerald for yourself..."

"Jeeze, Sticks." Boom Amy said sarcastically, "I hope it doesn't turn out that you're right about that."

Myrule Sonic raced alongside Sonic, carrying Princess Amy #2 in his arms. Princess Amy #1, however, chose to run despite not having super speed like the blue hedgehog did. Both princesses were prepared for battle, just as the rest of the group was prepared for the battle ahead. Tails had his Miles Electric out, and he'd set up the map that showed where they were going.

Prior to leaving, Rouge told the gang where Eggman's current base of operations was located, having snuck in there the first time. Now, it was time to trash the mad doctor's lair along with the Eggman Alliance's plans.

Sonic looked at Boom Sonic, who was carrying his version of Amy Rose in his arms while she held her large hammer. The pink hedgehog was admittedly surprised that she would be helping the League of Sonics and Sonic's friends rescue herself, especially since, under different circumstances, two versions of the same person interacting would cause a universe-ending anomaly.

Luckily, this was not the universe where that would likely happen.

"Nice to see you keeping up." Sonic told Shadow, who was moving swiftly with all of the juice that he had in his air shoes.

"We've always been equals in speed." The Ultimate Life Form told Sonic, "I could teleport to the doctor's hideout using Chaos Control, but I haven't been there and Tails' device can't find where it's located, so I'm going on foot with the rest of you heroes. Whatever comes up, we must be on alert since the doctor can unleash a surprise attack at any moment."

WHOOSH! No sooner than Shadow had finished, a streak of blue zipped through the countryside, taking Sonic and the others by surprise. Just then, a familiar blue robot flew in and landed on the ground hard enough to generate a huge shockwave and a whirlwind of dust. The robot stood, glaring at both Sonics menacingly.

"Metal Sonic!" Sonic, Boom Sonic, and Classic Sonic exclaimed.

"I'm gettin' Pseudo Sonic vibes!" AoSTH Sonic remarked.

"Oh my stars!" Bunnie exclaimed, "That robot looks exactly like Sonic. Robotnik must have developed a weapon to rival and surpass our boy in blue. Never did I think in a decade that we'd have to fight a robotic Sonic made by the ol' doc."

"Sacre bleu!" Antoine ducked behind Sally's feet, cowering in fear.

"Is that our Metal Sonic or this world's Metal Sonic?" Boom Amy asked Boom Sonic, "They all look alike."

"Does it matter?!" Boom Knuckles declared, "LET'S SMASH HIM INTO THE DIRT!"

The dim-witted echidna leaped into the air with a raised fist, ready to attack Metal Sonic. However, the blue robot caught Boom Knuckles in mid-strike and slammed him into the ground, hard enough to daze the red echidna.

The sports tape-wearing muscular fighter stood, facing Metal wearily, and tried to punch him again, just as an aura of electrified energy burst forth from the robot.

Boom Knuckles yelped as he got the blast, and stumbled over. Metal Sonic then lunged towards the group, back-handed Sonic, and attacked Myrule Sonic. The green-wearing hedgehog drew his sword, ready for battle, and blocked one of the Badnik's slashing claws.

Myrule Sonic glared at the robot with intensity and pushed back, then he slashed at Sonic's robot double again, only for Metal Sonic to block the incoming blow. And then, he went into overdrive, zapping Myrule Sonic until he fell over. Then he turned towards Princess Amy #2, who held her sword in a combat ready position, and advanced on the shapely princess.

The royal hedgehog didn't stand a chance. Metal Sonic knocked the sword out of her hand, then he grabbed her and lifted the princess off her feet in an aggressive manner. And then, Metal Sonic flew towards Princess Amy #1, zapped her enough to make the hedgehog drop her sword, and grabbed her before flying off with the two pink hedgehogs.

Just then, Metal Sonic made a U-Turn and flew towards the recovering Sonic. The Badnik's eyes lit up and a familiar voice blared out of Metal's speakers; the voice of Doctor Eggman.

"Sonic!" Eggman's voice blared, "If you can hear me, I have already just kidnapped Amy Rose and she is my prisoner at my newly updated lair of Eggman Castle, also known as The Eggmandorf Castle of Doom, courtesy of Lord Eggmandorf and his ancestor Doom. Now, we have just taken two princesses who are both Amy Rose, from two timelines, in the same universe my associate is from!

"If you want to save your precious Amys, then face us at our castle-fortress. We are all waiting for you and your friends, but your destruction is inevitable with the Black Emerald in our hand. And, when the Chaos Emeralds come into our possession, WE WILL RULE EVERY INCH OF THE WORLD AND THE WORLDS BEYOND THIS UNIVERSE WILL BE OURS!"

Metal Sonic's red eyes blinked again, then he flew off while Princess Amy #1 and #2 screamed in protest. Myrule Sonic, who'd recovered from Metal's attack, stepped forward and raised his sword in the direction where the Badnik was going.

"Follow him!" The heroic hedgehog declared, "We cannot lose track!"

"You put up a pathetic battle despite some of you knowing Metal's tricks." Shadow commented.

Sonic slammed his fist into his palm. "This is serious, guys!" The speedster said, "Eggman means business. We gotta save Amy and the princesses. So let's do it to it! After that robot copy!"

"We're up over and gone!" AoSTH Sonic declared. He spun his legs, then he took off in the direction Metal Sonic was going, racing over the green hills, and the other Sonics followed suit with their allies following behind as best they could. And no one noticed that the sky was getting darker and darker...
