Chapter 6: Kai Meets Julia

Week passed since Voltair brought Kai back home. He didn't came out of his room ever since then. He just laid in his bed with his arms crossed behind his head thinking of Hilary. One maid has been coming to his room to bring him food and to check on him. Her nam's Nana. She took care of Kai ever since his parents came in to the room.

˝Kai, next week is your 18th birthday. You know what that mens, don't you?˝

As he said that Kai slowly got up from the bed, looked at his grandfather and remained silent.

˝Oh. The silent tretmeant. Me mad if you want, but you can't escape your fate dear grandson. You will marry Julie!˝

Voltair went out, and rtKai just sat on the edge of the bed and kept thinking.

'What am I going to do? I can't marry Julie. I need to find my way out of this! Hilary...'

Hilary and Ray were in barn while Tyson, Max and Kenny went out for a walk.

˝Ray, can I ask you something?˝

˝What is it, Hil?˝ He looked at her.

˝Do you think he'll come back?˝ She asked nervously looking down. He noticed she was worried. He came closer to her, took her hands and said.

˝Look, I don't know him very well but I can see he's honest person. He'll be back. Dont worry, Hil!˝ He smiled. She looked him in the eyes and hugged him.

˝Thank you, Ray...˝

Meanwhile...

Tyson, Max and Kenny were walking. Not noticing they ended up on meadow near the Kai's house.

˝Do you think Kai will come back?˝ Max asked.

˝Who knows.˝ Kenny said. Tyson didn't say anything. He just remind silent. They heard noise.

˝What's that?˝ Tyoson looked around. They ran little further and saw a car.

˝Who could be in that car?˝

˝And where is it going?˝ Max and Tyson wondered.

˝Huh? Hey! Look you guys! It's going towards that big house!˝ Kenny said.

˝Your ringt Kenny!˝

˝That big house... Hey guys! I think that's Kai's house!˝ Tyson said.

˝What makes you say that Ty?˝ Max asked.

˝His family is richest in this town right?˝

˝Yes.˝

˝Then this must be his house! Let's go check it out!˝ Tyson said and rad towards the house.

˝Tyson! Wait!˝ Kenny and Max followed Tyson.

˝Huh? Hey! Guys, look!˝ They stopped. Car stopped in front of the house. Julia got out of the car with her brother.

˝Wow! Who's that?˝ Max asked.

˝Hm...that's probably girl Kai has to marry.˝ Kenny said.

˝Someone's coming out of the house!˝ Tyson said. Max and Kenny looked and saw Kai and his grandfather getting out of the house.

˝Good morning, Julia, Raul.˝ Voltair saluted them.

˝Mr. Voltair. So nice to see you again.˝ Julia said. Both she and Raul smiled. Voltait smiled back.

˝Julia, Raul, this is my grandson Kai.˝ Voltair said and pointed to Kai who was standing behind him. He stepped forward.

˝Nice to meet you, Julia, Raul.˝ Kai said and smiled.

˝Nice to meet you, Kai.˝ Julia smiled.

˝Nice to meet you.˝ Raul said.

˝Lets go in. Lunch is ready.˝ Voltair said and they went in.

˝Do you think Kai will marry that girl?˝ Max wondered.

˝I don't think he wants to but he has to. It's their family tradition.˝ Kenny said.

˝That's some stupid tradition if you ask me.˝ Max said. ´Poor Hil...´

´It's not fair to Kai that he has to marry someone he doesn't love, but I might have chance with Hilary if he marries someone else.´ Tyson was thinking looking it to the sky.

˝Lets go home!˝ Kenny said.

˝Okey. Come on Tyson!˝ Max said. Tyson just stood there watching in to the sky.

˝Tyson!˝

˝Huh? What?˝

˝Let's go home!˝

˝C'mon.˝

˝I'm coming! I'm coming!˝

In the house...

They were having lunch.

˝So, Kai you're turning 18 tomorrow?˝ Julia asked looking at him.

˝Yes.˝ He answered and continued eating. Julia noticed something was wrong. Suddenly Nana came in.

˝Mr. Hiwatari! Someone is on the phone for you! He said it's something about business.˝

˝Excuse me for a minute.˝ Voltair got up and left the dining room.

Few minutes later he came back.

˝I apologize, but I have to go take care of some business. I'll have to leave the country for few days.˝ Voltair said.

˝Julia, Raul, you can stay here until I come back. Then you two will get married. Kai take good care of house and everyone. I'll be back as soon as possible. Bye, kids.˝

˝Bye grandfather.˝ Kai said and smiled a bit.

˝Bye, Mr. Voltair.˝ Julia and Raul said.

Tyson, Max and Kenny came back in the barn.

˝Hey guys! We're back!˝

˝Hey you three! Where've you been?˝ Ray asked.

˝Just walking round the town.˝ Kenny said.

˝Ray, where is Hilary?˝ Tyson asked, Ray turned towards him and looked at him suspecting something.

˝She went for a walk. I think she went by that river near by.˝ Ray said.

˝I'm going to find her!˝ Tyson ran out.

˝Tyosn, wait for me!˝ Max followed him.

˝Be back soon!˝ Ray told them.

Hilary was sitting on the grass looking in to the river.

'Kai... I miss you...Please...Come back soon...'
