Chapter 11: He Needs Help!

˝Kai...˝ Tala whispered as he saw his best friend crying on his knees.

˝Kai, come on, buddy. Get up.˝ Tala helped him get up.

˝Why? Why? Why didn't he tell me!? Why didn't he tell me he was sick! That he was dying! And why…? I don't understand! How…Why…˝ Kai started yelling while Tala was looking at him.

˝Kai, calm down.˝

˝But…˝

˝Why are you yelling Kai?˝ Julia asked walking downstairs.

˝Julia…˝ Tala looked at her. She put her hand on Kai's shoulder.

˝What's wrong, Kai? Why are you c…˝

˝He's gone, Julia. My grandfather is gone. He…died.˝ He said while still crying. Julia was shocked to hear that.

˝Oh, my God. Kai, I'm so sorry. Will you be okay?˝ Julia asked him.

˝Yeah, I think I'll be fine.˝

˝So dose this mean…˝

˝Yeah. We don't have to get married.˝ Kai said. ˝I'm going to my room.˝

˝Hey, Kai. Hilary woke up. Her fever's down. She's okay now.˝ Julia told him.

˝That's good.˝ He turned towards her smiled and continued walking.

˝So who's this Hilary?˝ Tala asked Julia.

˝A girl.˝

˝Obviously.˝

˝Kai met her and they fell in love with each other. That's all I know. And she seems really nice.˝

˝Oh, I see. But what's she doing here?˝ He asked looking at her.

˝When Kai and I were walking near that meadow she was just sitting there and it was raining. She passed out and we brought her here. And I think she was crying, but I don't know why.˝

In th room…

Hilary was laying in bed thinking.

˝Tyson...why don't you understand! I love Kai, not you! Even if he ends up marrying that girl and I end up heartbroken, you and I can never be together. You're one of my best friends, I wouldn't wanna ruin our friendship...˝

˝I can't see you just as friend anymore Hil... I lo...˝

˝No, Tyson, don't say that! Please... let's just be friends like we always were, please Tyson.˝

˝I'm sorry Hil, but we cannot be friends. Not anymore...˝

˝T..Tyosn... Don't...go...˝

˝Tyson...˝ She whispered his name when someone came in. She turned around.

˝Hey, Hilary. How are you feeling?˝ Kai entered in and sat on bed beside her.

˝Kai!˝ She was so happy to see him. She hugged him. ˝I'm okay. How are you…˝ She noticed his eyes were red. She could tell he was crying. ˝Kai…what's wrong? Did something happened?˝ She asked.

˝My grandfater died…˝ He said.

˝Oh, I'm sorry… Are you okay?˝

˝I'll be fine. I was at the barn to visit your friends and they're all okay and really worried about you. And Tyson is sick. He has fever.˝

˝Oh, no. Poor Tyosn…It's all my fault.˝ She said.

˝What do you mean?˝

˝I… Tyson told me…that he loves me and I told him that I can't be with him 'cause he's my fried and I love you and he got mad and told me we can't be friends anymore and ran off somewhere…˝ She started crying.

˝It's okay, Hilary. It's going to be fine.˝ He hugged her. ˝Let's go to barn right now. Your friends are worried about you.˝

˝O…okay.˝ She nodded and got dressed. They went downstairs.

˝Hey, Tala, Julie. We're going out for a while.˝

˝Wait, Kai!˝ Tala stopped him.

˝What is it?˝

˝We got something to tell you.˝ Julia said.

˝Yeah but first will you introduce me to your friend, or what?˝

˝Oh, right. Tala this is Hilary. Hilary, Tala.˝

˝Nice to meet you, Tala.˝ She smiled.

˝The pleasure is all mine.˝ He smiled back.

˝So what was you were going to tell me?˝ Kai asked.

˝Kai, you remember when I told you that when we were on our way here I met a guy that I fell in love with?˝

˝Yes.˝

˝Well, that guy is…Tala.˝ She said.

˝Tala? Really? Well, I hope you two will be happy together.˝

˝Thanks man!˝

˝Kai, will you be okay?˝ Julia asked him. ˝I mean…you just found out your grandfather died.˝

˝I'll be okay. It's a big shock. And I did love him despite everything that happened. I mean he's my grandfather after all and I do miss him, but just because he's gone I can't spend rest of my life crying. He wouldn't want that.˝

In the barn…

Tyson still had a fever. And it was bad.

˝Hil…˝ He whispered. Ray was sitting next to him.

˝Oh, no! The fever's getting worst!˝

Max and Kenny were sitting in front of the barn when they saw Kai and Hilary.

˝Look, Kenny! It's Hilary!˝

˝And Kai!˝

˝Hey guys.˝

˝Hil! Thank goodness you're okay!˝ Max hugged her.

˝Yeah I'm fine. Where are Ray and Tyson?˝ Hilary asked.

˝They're in the barn.˝

˝Is Tyson better?˝ Kai asked.

˝No. He's fever is getting worst.˝ Kenny said.

˝What?˝

˝Let's go in.˝

They went in.

˝Ray! Is Tyson getting better?˝ Hilary asked.

˝No. Fever's not going down. I'm afraid if we don't get doctor soon he could die.˝

˝No! Tyson!˝ Hilary sat next to Tyson and took his hand. ˝Ty…˝

˝But we don't have any money to pay for doctor.˝ Max said.

˝Let's take him to my house and we'll call a doctor.˝

˝Really? You would do that for us Kai?˝ Ray asked him.

˝Of course. You are my friend after all, right?˝ Kai said.
