Chapter 10: When Extremes Meet
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. I'm glad to see all of you enjoyed my latest chapter and to answer your question, yes Korra and Koji will get together soon. In the meantime I think you'll enjoy what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
We find ourselves at Air Temple Island as Korra, Ikki, Jinora and Meelo were at the dock as a boat arrived revealing Mako, Bolin and Asami were on board.
"Hello! Welcome to Air Temple Island! Your new home!" Ikki declares.
"Yes, welcome to my domain." Meelo declares.
"Well aren't you sweet little monk child." Bolin chuckles as they walked off the boat and they noticed Pabu.
"What's that furry creature?" Meelo asks.
"That is a Fire Ferret. An arboreal mammal common to the bamboo forests of the central Earth Kingdom." Jinora explains making Ikki gasp.
"He's cute!" Ikki squeals running towards it.
Hissing Pabu runs around Naga to avoid her when Meelo jumps on Naga's head.
"Yip! Yip! Fly Sky Bison Fly!" Meelo said.
"Alright calm down you three. Calm down." Korra said trying to get them under control.
"Thanks for sending the Air Acolytes to help us with the move." Mako said.
"Yes, they've been amazing. Such tireless workers." Asami said as the acolytes walked out carrying tons of her bags.
"Yeah sorry I couldn't help. Turns out babysitting is a lot harder than I thought. I don't know how Koji did it all their lives." Korra said.
"Speaking of where is he?" Asami asks looking around.
"He's uh…he's in his room. Tenzin and I thought he needed a break from everything. He's still a little shaken up after what happened." Korra frowns.
"Yeah. I guess that makes sense." Asami frowns.
Heading up to Air Temple Island, Asami looks down to see Meelo looking up at her with a grin.
"You're pretty, can I have some of your hair?" Meelo asks holding out his hand.
"You know she's dating your cousin, right?" Mako chuckles.
"Sorry Meelo." Asami giggles.
"And now for the grand tour. The flying bison sleep in those caves down there. And that's the temple Grandpa Aang built. And that's the greenhouse where we grow the vegetables we eat." Ikki said pointing all over.
"I have a couple of questions. Is this an all-vegetarian island? Is that where you train airbending? Do we have to wear Air Acolyte clothes? Do we each get our own sky bison? And final question, how many trees are on this island?" Bolin asks trying to match her tone.
Pausing Ikki put a finger to her chin to think. "Yes. Yes. No. No. Ten thousand five hundred and fifty two."
"How did she count them all?" Bolin asks.
"Koji made a bet with her saying she could never do it." Jinora chuckles.
"But she did it." Meelo smiles.
"Gotta give the dude credit. He knows how to handle kids." Bolin said.
"So, where are we going to be staying?" Mako asks.
"You're a boy. Boys have to stay on the boys' side." Meelo points.
"I'd be happy to show you to the men's dormitory." Jinora said leading them away.
"I'm a boy." Bolin said as he and Mako followed her.
"Meelo, why don't you go with the boys too?" Korra suggests.
"We shall meet again soon, beautiful woman." Meelo said looking at Asami before running off.
"Ikki and I will show you to your room." Korra said as they led her to her room.
"Asami did you know Korra likes Koji?" Ikki asks.
Instantly Korra stopped in her tracks as a look of horror and rage appeared on her face.
This was not how she wanted Asami to find out about her crush.
"Um no. I wasn't aware of that." Asami said surprised.
Grabbing Asami by the arm, Korra led her to the room and slams the door on Ikki.
"Hey!" Ikki whines.
"Run along Ikki!" Korra yells from the other side of the door.
Hissing like a cat, Ikki storms away angry.
"So, here's your room. I know this is a little rustic compared to what you're used to." Korra said gesturing around.
"I think it's really charming and the best part about it, nothing here reminds me of my father. Thank you for having me." Asami said.
"It's no trouble. I bet Koji's really happy to have you here." Korra assures.
"So is it true? Do you like Koji?" Asami asks turning to her. "Because after that incident with my dad you looked really worried about him?"
"Well uh I mean—" Korra stutters when they heard a knock at the door. "Ikki I swear to spirits if you don't leave us alone—" When the door opens it reveals Tenzin. "Oh Tenzin."
"Good day, ladies. Asami, welcome to the island." Tenzin bows.
"Thank you for having me." She bows back.
"Beifong's replacement, Saikhan, is going to be inducted as the new Chief of Police later. I think we should both be there." Tenzin explains.
"What about Koji? Isn't he your council assistant?" Korra asks.
"Yes but he's still in his room. Would you mind going to check on him? I need to ask a favor of Ms. Sato." Tenzin said.
"Yeah good idea. See you soon." Korra said walking out.
"What's wrong Tenzin?" Asami asks.
"Asami I don't mean to sound rude but after the experience with your father Koji's been very on edge. I don't want to add more by making him attend. Is it possible while Korra and I look into this you can take Koji somewhere to help him calm down. Maybe a nice meal or someplace relaxing?" Tenzin asks.
"I'd be happy to and thank you for telling me this." Asami said.
"I'm worried about him Asami. Right now I think Koji needs to be surrounded by as many people who care about him as possible." Tenzin said walking out.
"As many as possible?" Asami pauses remembering what Ikki said.
In Koji's room, we see Koji looking in a mirror as he took off his bandages revealing all his bruises had healed, but the memory of that trauma was still fresh.
"Hiroshi…I can't believe it. What do I do now?" Koji frowns.
"Simple, the next time you see him. You kill him.' The dark voice said.
"Kill? No I can't do that. I-It's wrong." Koji said.
'He doesn't deserve forgiveness. You gave that man nothing but kindness and respect for years. And wanted you dead. Don't you see? For years he planned on killing you himself. And now he's joined up with the worst scum in this city. You have to be ready to strike or these Equalists will take everything from you.' The dark voice explains.
Hanging his head Koji looked in the mirror.
Hiroshi Sato, the man he had considered a friend, the father of his girlfriend and sponsor of his friends wanted to kill them.
"Maybe…maybe you're r—" Before Koji could finish he heard a knock at the door. "Uh who is it?"
"It's me." Korra said popping her head in.
"Korra." Koji said turning to her.
"Hey you're all fixed up. I bet that's a relief." Korra said walking in. "You doing alright?"
"I don't know Korra. I'm so confused. I don't know what to believe or who to trust anymore." Koji admits.
Slowly walking up Korra hugs Koji surprising.
"Trust your friends, your family. They'll always be there for you. And you can always count on me." Korra said.
"Korra." Koji said softly as she turned him around.
"Look I don't know what's going to happen and yeah, I agree so much is going on it's nuts. I can't even wrap my head around it all." Korra admits.
"So how are you able to keep going?" Koji asks.
"Well I got Tenzin helping me out and…I got you. Don't I?" Korra smiles.
"Yeah…I guess you do." Koji smiles softly.
Leaning in Korra gives Koji a kiss on the cheek surprising him.
"K-Korra?" Koji stutters.
"I know I know you still like Asami but you look like you needed it. And this is just a reminder." Korra said.
"A reminder?" Koji asks.
"That there's another girl who still loves you." Korra winks making him blush.
Later that day at the Republic City Police department a huge meeting was underway as Saikhan was named Lin's replacement.
"It was an honor serving under Chief Beifong for so many and I wish her a speedy recovery. It is with great humility that I take her place as the new Chief of Police. Republic City is facing a threat like none the world has ever seen but there is one man who's been effective against Amon's revolution, Councilman Tarrlok. That is why for all matters involving the Equalists, I will report directly to him. The police department will lend any and all available resources to the councilman and his task force until we quell this insurgency." Saikhan declares.
"What is that weasel snake Tarrlok up to now?" Korra whispers to Tenzin.
After the cameraman and crowd leave Tenzin and Korra approach him.
"Tenzin, so good to see you? How's Koji?" Tarrlok asks.
"Taking a well deserved break." Tenzin glares. "Tarrlok, I don't know what you did to get Chief Saikhan in your pocket but I highly doubt it was legal."
"Oh, Tenzin. Always the conspiracy theorist. Did you ever consider Saikhan simply recognizing my talents and wants what is best for this city?" Tarrlok asks turning to Korra. "Well, Avatar Korra. Long time, no see. Now that your little pro-bending distractions are over, I look forward to your return to my task force."
"Ha. Forget it. No way am I returning to your vanity project." Korra scoffs.
"That is unfortunate to hear, but I'm sure you'll come to your senses as you have in the past." Tarrlok assumes.
"Don't hold your breath, bub. You know, Tenzin's been right about you all along. You played me, you played Beifong, and now you're playing the new Chief too. Heck I bet if Koji was here you'd be playing him too. Well I got news for you. You need me, but I don't need you. I'm the Avatar." Korra said pointing to herself.
"You're not, in fact, the Avatar You are merely a half-baked Avatar in training, which reminds me, how is your airbending going? Made any significant progress with that?" Tarrlok mocks.
Frowning Korra looks away signifying she hadn't.
"I didn't think so. If you will not be part of my task force, then you had best stay out of my way." Tarrlok said walking away making Korra feel worse.
In another part of the city, we see Asami leading Koji down the street.
"Asami where are we going?" Koji asks.
"Somewhere to help you relax." Asami said.
"I'm not even in a relaxing mood." Koji said.
"That's why you need this. I'm worried about you. I don't want you to break down." Asami said taking his hand.
"But Asami look I appreciate this but your dad tried to kill me. What does this mean? For you? Future Industries? Republic City? Our relationship?" Koji panics.
"Hey you stop right there." Asami said making him look at her. "My dad is the one that screwed up. I'll get over it, and we'll figure out how to help the company and the city, as for us. Koji I love you. I don't blame you for what happened to my mom. When I lost her I was so scared, I felt so alone, but then you came into my life. And that's why I'm here for you. So I can help you through this. Let me help you."
Looking at her concerned face, Koji smiles softly.
"You are something else. You know that?" Koji teases.
"And I'm all yours." Asami said kissing him on the cheek.
"Alright for you I'll try." Koji said.
"You won't regret this. I know how to help you destress." Asami said.
Leading him into a hot spring, Asami made her way to the front.
"I had this place reserved for the next hour." Asami said.
"All set." The front desk lady said as Asami paid her.
"And we'd like to be left alone until time is up. He needs this." Asami said giving a little extra.
"Of course." She nods.
Leading Koji inside, the two walked into the hot springs.
Walking out in only a towel, Koji saw he was the only one inside.
Slowly making his way in he steps into the water and sighs in relief.
"I wonder where everyone is?" Koji asks.
"For the next hour, it's only us." Turning around Koji saw Asami walk in wearing only a towel around her body.
"Asami." Koji blushes as she sat in next to him.
"I might have paid a little extra for the two of us to have some alone time." Asami teases.
"Not that I'm not loving this. But you mean telling me why?" Koji asks as Asami scoots closer.
"You think no one loves you? Well I'm gonna show you just how wrong you are." Asami grins kissing him passionately on the lips.

Pulling their towels off, Asami presses her naked body against his as the two of them make out fiercely.
Reaching her hand under the water, Asami grabs his length making Koji moan into the kiss.
"Just sit back and let me take care of everything." Asami whispers seductively in his ear.
As Asami kisses her way down his body she had one hand stroking him causing him to turn rock hard while the other hand wraps around his chest stimulating him.
Panting heavily, Koji was lost in the pleasure and she only had made it down to his neck.
Kissing him Asami leaves a hickey on his neck making him moan softly.
"That's it Koji, let all your worries melt away." Asami said stroking him faster and faster.
Moaning Koji feels Asami pull him upwards making him stand.
When he did Asami saw his large rock hard length right in front of her face.
Licking her lips Asami runs her tongue against it before putting the tip in her mouth.
Grabbing the back of her head, Koji grabs her hair as felt her mouth engulf more and more of him. Her tongue licking every inch of it.
"Asami." Koji moans climaxing into her mouth.
Letting go, Asami takes a quick dip under the water briefly disappearing from him.
Catching his breath, Koji leans against the rails when suddenly Asami comes out of the water behind him pressing her breasts against his back.
"You are evil." Koji said as she grinds against him.
"So you say but I think your little friend is loving this." Asami said as Koji got hard again.
Turning him around, Asami pulls him close making his length trapped in between her thighs and rubbing against her ass.
"You call me spoiled but I think you love to be spoiled just as much as me." Asami said wrapping her arms around him.
As she grinded her body against him Koji felt her breasts and her hard nipples press against his chest.
"Maybe I do." Koji said yanking her in.
"Feeling better?" Asami asks.
"Much." Wrapping his arms around her Koji grabs her by the rear and lifts her up so she was sitting on the edge. "Now it's my turn."
Inserting himself inside her Asami moans wrapping her arms and legs around him allowing Koji to dive deeper into her.
"Oh yes! Koji that's it right there!" Asami yells over and over as Koji moves faster and faster.
Moaning loudly Asami climaxes while still trapped in his grip.
"You better not be calling it quits on me." Koji said as she climbed down.
"No way. I just wanted an even playing ground." Pushing down onto the steps, Asami sits in Koji's lap. "Let's see who can outlast the other now."
"You're on beautiful." Koji said as Asami inserts Koji into her again.
Moaning both slamed their lips against each other.
Reaching out Koji squeezes Asami's breasts and fondles them while Asami bounces up and down.
Moving his hips up Koji matches Asami's movements making the pleasure grow in both of them.
As the hot spring water enveloped their lower body waves started to move from them as they moved faster and faster.
Asami was about to move faster when she suddenly feels Koji separate for a few seconds.
"Koji what are you—" Before she could finish Koji turns her around so she was facing him.
"I want to look at your beautiful face when we finish." Koji said slamming into her.
Moaning Asami finds herself pressed against the cold tile floor and Koji's hot body on top of her.
"Yes Koji! Oh yes!" Asami moans wrapping her legs around him.
"Asami! I love you so much!" Koji moans.
"I love you more!" Asami moans as they moved faster and faster before climaxing together.

Moving back into the hot springs both sighed in relief feeling rejuvenated.
"So still feel down?" Asami asks.
"Not anymore. I'm lucky to have you in my life." Koji said.
"Luck has nothing to do with it. I fell in love with you because you're amazing." Asami said.
"You're amazing." Koji said pulling her close making her press against him.
"Easy mister. I only managed to get us the place for a small period." Asami teases.
"Shame, I feel better than ever." Koji teases.
"Once all this clears up you can make it up to me." Asami said giving him a kiss on the lips which he happily returns.
As the sun sets, we find Korra and Tenzin flying back to Air Temple Island on Oogi.
"I don't understand what's wrong with me. I've memorized nearly all of the practice forms, but I still can't produce a single measly puff of air. I'm a failure." Korra frowns.
"No you're not. You just need to work through this airbending block." Tenzin said.
"Amazing advice. I'll get right on that." Korra said sarcastically.
"I wasn't finished yet. You see, Aang not only had his bending teachers but also his past lives to call upon for guidance. Have you ever made contact with your past lives?" Tenzin asks.
"No, of course I haven't. Didn't you get the memo from Koji? I'm a spiritual failure, too." Korra reminds.
"You may have made a connection without realizing it. Perhaps something you mistook as a dream?" Tenzin asks.
"Maybe. I had a few weird hallucinations, but I hardly remember them." Korra said.
"And did you see any previous Avatars in these visions?" Tenzin asks.
"I saw Aang. It seemed like he was in trouble. What do you think it means?" Korra asks.
"I don't know. But I urge you to meditate on these visions. I believe Aang's spirit must be trying to tell you something." Tenzin suggests.
That night, Korra was sitting on a hill crying as the statue of Avatar Aang was across the water from her.
"Korra!" Koji calls out.
"Korra you out here?!" Mako calls out.
"Korra!" Bolin said as Pabu ran to Korra and licked the tears off her face.
"There you are." Koji said as he, Mako, Bolin and Asami walk over.
"Well you seem to be in a better mood." Korra said.
"Yeah, can't say the same for you. Are you okay?" Koji asks.
"I'm fine." Korra brushes off.
"Come on, what's wrong? You can tell us." Mako asks.
"How am I supposed to save this city when I can't even learn airbending? I'm the worst Avatar ever. I just feel...alone." Korra admits.
"No that's nonsense you're amazing." Asami said.
"Trust me you're not the first Avatar to make a mistake and I bet you won't be the last." Koji agrees.
"Yeah and remember. Aang hadn't mastered all the elements when he was battling the Fire Nation. He was just a little kid." Mako points out.
"And he wasn't alone. He had his friends to help him. Look, the arena might be shut down but we're still a team. The new Team Avatar." Bolin declares.
"We got your back Korra." Mako smiles.
"Even you Mr. White Lotus?" Korra asks.
"I'd like to see them try and stop me." Koji smiles as he, Asami, Bolin and Mako put their hands together. "What do you say Avatar?"
Standing up Korra puts her hand in. "Yeah let's do it!"
Suddenly Meelo drops in and farts on them much to their disgust. "Yeah, let's do it! Uh what are we doing?"
"You are going back to your room young man." Koji said.
"Aw but Koji." Meelo whines.
Rolling his eyes Koji whispers something to him making Meelo smile.
"Okay night everyone." Meelo said running back.
"Did you use some White Lotus mind trick on him?" Bolin asks.
"Nah, ancient babysitting trick. Cookie bribe." Koji smirks.
"There are cookies?" Bolin asks interested.
"None for you Mister. We have a job to do." Koji smirks.
At the front gate, Koji, Mako, Bolin, Korra and Naga walk out.
"Get ready Republic City. You are about to be patrolled by Team Avatar." Bolin declares when Asami steps out wearing an Equalist glove.
"Whoa someone's packing heavy gear." Koji whistles.
"I figure one way to fight Equalists is to use an Equalist weapon." Asami grins.
"All right let's ride." Korra said.
However when they all tried to get on Naga bends down causing them all to fall off.
"Okay this isn't gonna work." Koji groans.
"Yeah I see that now." Korra groans. "Anyone else got any ideas?"
"Hmm I think I might have the answer." Asami said getting an idea.
At an old warehouse, Asami pulls out in a fancy satomobile.
"Will this do?" Asami asks.
"Yes it will." Koji said.
"I'm liking the new Team Avatar's style." Mako said as they all climbed in.
Driving through Republic City a police scanner went off.
"Unit two sixteen, cancel that ten fifty-eight at Harmony Tower. Come back to the station, over."
"My dad had police scanners installed in all of his cars. I guess now I know why." Asami said with a hint of regret.
"Calling all units, Level Four Alert. Jailbreak at headquarters. Officers down, electrocuted. Chi blockers and Equalist convicts are still at large armed and dangerous." The police said getting their attention. "Last seen heading east. I repeat Level Four Alert. Equalist jailbreak!"
Looking ahead Asami saw a large truck and several Equalists on motorcycles following.
"Chi Blockers!" Bolin points.
"That's them." Mako realized.
"Floor it Asami!" Korra said as Asami slammed on the gas and they raced after.
Chasing them down the street a large truck blocks their path.
"Korra! Bolin! Give me a ramp! Now!" Asami said.
Using their earthbending the two make a ramp that launches them over the truck and after the Equalists.
Using his lightning Mako zaps an Equalist making him fly off his bike.
From the other side, Bolin hurls a barrage of earth darts at the other knocking him off.
Activating their smokescreens the remaining Equalists attempt to blind them.
Moving to the front, Koji released a blast of air making the smoke disappear much to their disbelief.
"Beat it!" Koji roars firing a blast of flames at their wheels sending the remaining Equalists flying off their bikes leaving only the truck.
Firing lightning at the driver, Mako zaps the driver unconscious causing the truck to swerve and crash into a lamp post.
Soon Tarrlok and Police arrive to see the prisoners lined up and the news taking pictures of them.
"Avatar Korra, what do you think you are doing?" Tarrlok asks.
"Oh, hey Tarrlok. Nice of you to show up finally. Here, we captured the escaped convicts for you." Korra mocks.
"What you did was tear up the city and impede the real authorities in their pursuit of these criminals." Tarrlok corrects.
"Actually she didn't." Koji steps forward. "The only damages were Equalist Property and one lamp post. As for the authorities in pursuit, there were none at any period."
"Ha! Sorry Tarrlok but I got a council nerd on my Team Avatar." Korra smirks leaning against Koji.
"This is your last warning. Stay out of my way!" Tarrlok snaps before walking away.
"Oh I'm gonna hear about this tomorrow." Koji rolls his eyes.
"Oh yeah as Tenzin's assistant you can get us more info on what Tarrlok and the council have in store." Mako realized.
"You just keep making yourself useful." Korra smirks making him blush.
"Oh it's nothing." Koji said making Asami giggle.
The next morning Koji was with Tenzin at the council meeting as Tarrlok had an idea.
"Republic City stands as a beacon of freedom, but the Equalists are using that freedom to tear it down. The law I have proposed would make it illegal for anyone to be a member of the Equalists or even be associated with them. It also puts into effect a curfew, ensuring all nonbenders are in their own homes by nightfall." Tarrlok explains.
"Are you insane?!" Koji calls out getting their attention. "Nonbenders are already hostile you really want to give them more reasons to hate us?"
"Koji calm down." Tenzin said before standing up. "But I agree. This is going too far Tarrlok. You can't punish all nonbenders for the actions of a few."
"That kind of cowardice will cause our city to fall into Amon's hands. We must pass this law. All in favor?" Tarrlok asks.
Looking around all the Council members besides Tenzin raised their hands.
Growling Koji tightened his fist.
'Are you going to let this idiot control your whole city? Strike him down you know you want to. If you don't, he and the Equalists will take everything you love.' The dark voice said.
As much as he hated to admit it, Koji wanted to more than anything. As he made his way towards him Tenzin grabbed his shoulder.
"Come on Uncle, we can't let him do this. It's wrong and you know it." Koji said.
"Believe I do, but we can't do anything drastic just yet." Tenzin said.
Growling a hint of red shined in Koji's eyes.
"This isn't over Tarrlok." Koji growls.
That night, we find Team Avatar parked in front of a store eating snacks.
"All available units, please respond to the fifty-six hundred block of Dragon Flats borough. Equalists have taken to the streets, consider them armed and dangerous. Proceed with caution." The Police scanner said.
"Ooh shotgun!" Bolin said hopping into the front.
"Bolin that's my seat." Koji said.
"Hey come on Mr. White Lotus we got a job to do." Korra said pulling him into the back with her.
Pausing Asami adjusts her mirror to see Korra's face before driving off.
As they drove over a large hill they looked out to see Dragon Flats was pitch black.
"Why is the power out?" Korra asks confused.
"Wait a second." Looking ahead Koji saw police officers in front of a blockade with tons of nonbenders on the other side.
"These people aren't armed and dangerous." Asami said.
"Sure doesn't look that way." Korra said.
"All nonbenders, return to your homes immediately." Saikhan said through a megaphone.
"Yeah, as soon as you turn our power back on!" A man yells as the crowd yells in agreement with him.
"Disperse or you will be arrested!" Saikhan declares.
"You benders can't treat us this way!" A mother yells when her child pulls her sleeve and gestures to Korra as she approached.
"Mummy, look! It's the Avatar!" She points as the crowd turns to her.
"Please, help us! You're our Avatar, too!" The mother begs.
"Everyone, please stay calm. I'm gonna put a stop to this." Korra assures.
Making her way to a tent Korra saw Tarrlok talking to a metalbender.
"Tarrlok, you need to turn the power back on and leave these people alone." Korra orders.
"Avatar Korra, you and your playmates have no business here." Tarrlok said.
"Tarrlok the council gave you permission for a curfew. They did not say you had the right to do this. You don't have the right to treat these innocent people like criminals." Koji reminds.
"This is an Equalist rally. There is nothing innocent about it." Tarrlok said gesturing to the crowd.
"They're not Equalists, they're just normal people who want their rights back." Asami said.
"They are the enemy. Round up all these Equalists!" Tarrlok orders.
Turning to the police they saw they use their metalbending on the blockade to capture them.
"Stop!" Rushing over Korra uses her Earthbending to help them escape while they had the chance.
Snarling Tarrlok looks around and notices Asami.
Using his water he throws a whip at her tying up her hands.
"Hey let me go!" Asami said as she was pulled towards him.
"Asami!" Koji gasps turning to him. "Let her go Tarrlok! You can't do this!"
"Actually, I can. She's a nonbender out past curfew and her father is a known Equalist conspirator." Tarrlok said.
"Let her go!" Mako snaps.
"Arrest him and his brother!" Tarrlok orders as Metalbenders fired coils tying up Mako and Bolin.
"Tarrlok!" Korra yells lifting two massive boulders out of the ground.
"Unless you want to join your friends in prison, I suggest you put those down and go back to the Air Temple." Tarrlok threatens.
"Korra listen to him! It's not worth it." Mako calls out.
Growling Korra lowers her attack.
"It'll be alright." Bolin said as they were put into a truck.
"Don't worry, I'll call Tenzin. He can get you out." Korra assures as they drove away.
'I told you. She's too spinless. He's taking away everything you love and she won't lift a finger. Strike him down. Do it! Make him regret crossing your path!' The dark voice roars.
"Get them out of—" Before Tarrlok could finish a blast of fire hits him shocking everyone.
Turning around Tarrlok saw Koji making his way towards him with his eyes closed.
"Tarrlok I've had just about enough of you." Koji hissed.
"Koji?" Korra said shocked.
Koji was never the attack first kind of guy.
"Koji I'm willing to let our years of working together into consideration. Don't make me arrest you." Tarrlok threatens.
"You don't get it Tarrlok." Koji opens his eyes to reveal they were glowing red. "Negotiations are over!"
As fire explodes out of him Koji flies towards Tarrlok smashing him against a truck.
"You want to oppress people?! Make them feel weak?! Well let's see how you like it!" Koji roars punching Tarrlok in the face multiple times.
As Tarrlok tries to use his water to counter Koji burns a hole making it all pour out.
"Not happening Tarrlok. I'm gonna destroy you and you're just gonna sit back and take it!" Koji yells punching Tarrlok in the gut knocking the air out of him
"Koji!" Korra yells trying to get him to stop.
"Get off of me!" Koji shoves her away with a blast of air.
Grabbing Tarrlok by his robes Koji throws across the street.
"Stop him!" Saikhan orders.
As Tarrlok struggles to get up Koji sprints towards him only for Metalbenders to attack firing a cable at each of his limbs trying to hold him back.
Reaching for his face, Tarrlok felt blood dripping down.
"Oh Koji, you had so much potential. I could have used you. Arrest him for assaulting a council member." Tarrlok said.
"No!" Korra screams in horror.
Moving towards him Saikhan forces Koji to his knees.
"This will teach you to respect the law." Saikhan said but Koji just snickers.
"You mean you? That's funny. Since when did scum think they deserved respect?" Koji asks with an evil grin on his face.
As air and flames gathered around him Koji let out a terrifying and bloodthirsty yell blowing Saikhan away.
"What in the?" Tarrlok gasps not expecting that.
Turning to the other police Koji yanks them all towards him releasing a ferocious combo of air and fire bending knocking them away one by one.
"Koji stop! This isn't you!" Korra yells.
Turning to her, Korra saw Koji's soulless red eyes and froze in fear. "I refuse to be a doormat to these scum." Koji hisses.
This energy, it was destructive, it was evil, it was…familiar?
Before she could say anything Koji erupted in tornado of flames blasting away all the police and Tarrlok.
But when the flames disappeared Koji was nowhere to be seen.
"What was that?" Tarrlok asks looking around for Koji. "And where is he?
"We don't know sir. He blasted us all with his power and escaped." Saikhan said.
"Well find him, arrest him. I don't care what you have to do. That boy is a danger to us all!" Tarrlok orders.
"Sir yes sir." Saikhan said.
"Danger? He had the guts to stand up to you and put you in your place." Korra said.
"When did Koji have the ability to bend 2 elements? He's always been a firebender." Tarrlok asks.
"Guess you don't know him as well as you think you do. This isn't over, Tarrlok." Korra vows.
"Oh I believe it is." Tarrlok glares.
At the Police Station, Korra and Tenzin entered the building.
"I came as fast as I could. Are your friends all right?" Tenzin asks.
"I don't know! These knuckleheads won't tell me anything." Korra said frustrated.
"Any word on Koji?" Tenzin asks.
"Nothing." Korra shook her head.
"I'll handle this." Tenzin said as Saikhan tried to sneak away. "Chief Saikhan a word."
"Councilman Tenzin, I'm pretty swamped at the moment. Can this wait?" Saikhan asks.
"No it cannot. Three of Avatar Korra's friends were wrongly arrested tonight. I'd like you to release them immediately." Tenzin said.
"And why don't you call off the hunt for Koji while you're at it." Korra adds.
"They're not going anywhere. They were interfering with police business. And Koji assaulted Councilman Tarrlok and several Police officers." Saikhan explains.
"Your so-called police business was rounding up innocent people and claiming they were Equalists. Koji was standing up for them. They should be released, too." Korra said.
"All Equalists suspects are being detained indefinitely. They'll be freed if and when the task force deems they are no longer a threat. And whether it was defense or not that boy is a menace to Republic City. If and when we find him. He will be arrested." Saikhan declares.
"That menace is my nephew and those people are entitled to due process by law." Tenzin glares.
"You'll have to take that up with Councilman Tarrlok." Saikhan explains.
"Oh, I plan to. At the council meeting, first thing in the morning." Tenzin declares.
"You're officially the worst Chief of Police ever!" Korra declares.
"Calm down, Korra. I'll get this sorted out, we just need to be patient." Tenzin said before turning to Saikhan. "But you really are the worst! Ever!" Tenzin declares.
Back at Air Temple Island, Korra watched from down the hall as Tenzin was forced to tell his family what happened to Koji.
As Pemma hangs her head in fear, her kids were scared and worried for their cousin.
"Dad…is Koji in trouble?" Jinora asks worried.
"I'm afraid so sweetie." Tenzin frowns.
"They're not gonna hurt him, are they? Like what they do to criminals?" Ikki asks.
"No, listen your cousin is a lot of things but he is not a criminal. I've been wanting to punch Tarrlok for years, he's just angry because Koji finally did. I'm going straight to Tarrlok in the morning and I am going to make sure Koji comes home." Tenzin said.
"I'm scared daddy. I want Koji to come home." Meelo said.
"We all do sweetie." Pemma frowns.
Narrowing her eyes, Korra made her way to Naga who was sleeping.
"Wake up Naga." Korra said shaking her awake.
Outside as snow began to fall, Korra approached city hall.
"Wait for me here, girl." Frowning Naga showed concern. "Don't worry, I'll be all right."
In his office, Tarrlok was sitting in front of a decorative waterfall as he was looking at his wounds with the Council page nearby.
Suddenly the window opens revealing Korra.
"We need to talk." Korra said.
"Are any of the other council members here?" Tarrlok asks.
"I believe everyone has gone home for the night." The Council Page said.
"Then you should do the same." Tarrlok suggests.
"Are you sure, sir?" He asks nervously.
"Leave us." Tarrlok orders.
Bowing the council page makes his way out leaving them all alone.
"You obviously have something on your mind? Spit it out." Tarrlok said.
"Don't you see? You're doing exactly what Amon says is wrong with benders. You're using your power to oppress and intimidate people." Korra explains.
"And you don't?" Tarrlok counters.
"Of-Of course not." Korra stutters.
"Isn't that what you came here to do? Intimidate me into releasing your friends and saving Koji. See, that's what I admire about you, Korra. Your willingness to go to extremes in order to get what you want. It is a quality we both share." Tarrlok smirks.
"We are nothing alike." Korra snaps.
"Look, I'll make you a deal. You fall in line and do what I say and I'll release your friends. I'll even call off the order for Koji's arrest." Tarrlok offers.
"That's why you did all this? To get to me?" Korra asks in disbelief.
"I need an answer." Tarrlok insists.
"No. You might be able to manipulate Chief Saikhan into following you, but it won't work on me." Korra said.
"I really thought you would have learned from Koji not to cross me." Tarrlok glares.
"Hardly, if Koji could kick your ass so can I." Korra glares back. "You need to be stopped. You're as bad as Amon!"
Standing up, Tarrlok turns to his waterfall to see his reflection. "I've tried to work with you, Korra, but you've made it impossible."
Turning around he flings a blade of water at her which Korra narrowly dodges.
Countering with earthbending she forces Tarrlok back and unleashes her firebending.
Making a sphere of water around him Tarrlok extinguishes the flames and uses the water to hurl chunks of ice at her.
Scrambling Korra tries to deflect the ice but ends up getting cut multiple times.
As a sadistic smile forms on Tarrlok's face, Korra makes a wall to protect herself.
Using her earthbending Korra bends Tarrlok's decorative waterfall sending him flying out of his office and against the rails making him dangle.
"Still think that I'm a half-baked Avatar?" Korra mocks destroying the rails making him fall to the council floor. "I'm gonna finish what Koji started!"
Jumping down Korra created a giant shockwave knocking Tarrlok across the room.
"What are you gonna do now? You're all out of water, pal." Korra growls as fire appeared in her hands.
Charging at him, Korra was about to finish him off when Tarrlok held out his hands stopping Korra in her tracks.
"You're in my way Avatar, and you need to be removed." Tarrlok said forcing Korra to her knees.
Y-You're a bloodbender?" Korra said in disbelief.
"Very observant. I couldn't use this when Koji attacked me because there were too many witnesses." Tarrlok explains.
"It's not even a full moon. How are you doing this?" Korra asks confused.
"There are a lot of things you don't know about me." Tarrlok said bloodbending Korra so she was thrown against the wall.
Struggling to remain conscious, Korra sees another vision in a courtroom with a strange man and an adult Aang, Sokka and Toph.
Waking up Korra sees Tarrlok throw her into the back of a small truck.
"Where are you taking me?" Korra asks.
"Somewhere no one will find you. Say goodbye to Republic City, Avatar Korra. You'll never see it again." Tarrlok declares.
Korra tries breathing fire at him but he shut the door on her.
"You can't do this! Let me out!" Korra screams trying to escape but it was no use.
Meanwhile at Air Temple Island, Jinora, Ikki and Meelo were by the beach.
"Korra's gone too." Jinora said.
"I bet she went to find Koji." Ikki said.
"I hope she does." Jinora said when Meelo spotted something.
Narrowing his eyes, Meelo gasps. "Over there!"
"Huh?" Turning around they saw Meelo running to the water.
Following after him they gasp to see Koji laying in the sand.
"Koji!" They both yelled running down to help Meelo.
Grabbing him by his robes, they pulled him away from the water.
Examining his body, they saw several bruises from Koji's battle and his white lotus robes were in tatters.
"Is he alive?" Ikki asks as Jinora was about to check his pulse when Meelo punches him in the gut making Koji groan.
"Yep he's alive." Meelo said.
"Next time let me check him." Jinora said.
"Meelo lets go get mom and dad! Jinora watch Koji." Ikki said standing up.
"Right." Jinora said as they ran off. "Hang tight Koji. You're home."
